Appearance: The first thing one usually notices about Rei are her round amber hued eyes. Although they're often blankly staring afar, they not only draw others in, they also make one wonder where her thoughts lie; giving her an air of mystery especially when combined with her reserved nature. Complimenting her eyes is her fair skin and pale blonde hair that is most often left down and free to be blown into disarray by the wind. Her physique is slender with subtle curves often adorned by simple yet feminine clothes in more often than not, pale colors. Rei's slender fingers usually have a "leathery" feel from playing the violin for so long and are often bandaged and blistering.

Bio: Born to a national star pianist and a world renowned American violinist, Rei was introduced to music at an early enough age that she can't remember ever having a time of peace and quiet. By the time she was able to crawl, her father shoved her onto a toy piano, finding her actions amusing at first. By the time she learned to walk, he began to notice that she would mimic him [to the best of her ability] when he played beside her. Soon enough, he began to seriously school her in the art as her mother either watched or played the violin by their side. Regardless of what others may assume, Rei remembers these times and treasures them as her most precious memories. Unfortunately she soon learned that good times don't always last . This tranquil atmosphere was abruptly broken apart by her mother's death when Rei was no older than six. After her mother's departure, her father refused to continue her piano lessons. Moreover, he hired an instructor to teach her to play the violin instead, firmly believing that since Rei had his talent for the piano, she must also have her mother's talent for strings.
Needless to say, she disappointed him. While she gained praise from others, her father seemed more focused on trying to find a resemblance between her and her mother's music, growing frustrated when he saw a little replica of himself instead. However, no matter how frustrated he became, he always doted on her. As long as the violin wasn't present, he would let go of his grief and buy her anything she wanted or needed. He was very attentive and had an open ear for any of her complaints and cooked very well. Although he was a little reluctant, he sent her off to America two years after her debut to get a feel of her mother's homeland. Completely on her own in a foreign environment, Rei found it hard to adapt to it all and ended up withdrawing into herself as a result. The only escape she had was in sending letters to her penpal. Through this penpal, she shared the frustrations she kept in check out of concern for her father and of course her grief over the loss of her mother and the times that she spent before her first love; the piano.
Three years of lessons passed in a flash and her name spread throughout America with many labeling her as the violinist prodigy of the century. While others sung praises, Rei couldn't help but feel her mother's shadow was still looming over her. Seeing that there was no more she could really do in America, her father brought her back to Japan, not wanting her to slack off in her studies. Once she returned, she found herself more behind in her studies than previously assumed. The only class she found herself doing well in at the time were English and music. Luckily, she had kind classmates that noticed her little predicament and helped her with her studies. Even so, she still had a little too much on her plate. Feeling overwhelmed, she confronted her father[with her penpal's encouragement] about putting aside the violin for the time being. He was unhappy yet saw that he might have been impeding her progress. Saddened by this realization, he moved away into his studio for the time, leaving her on her own to make her own decisions.
Confused yet not discouraged, Rei went along with his idea, having grown used to being without him long ago. Still, she felt a little sour about this ordeal and no longer asked her penpal for advice. In fact, she stopped replying to them all together. Moving along, she soon fit in well enough to pass Junior high with mediocre grades. Since she had reached her goal, Rei decided to slack off a bit during her freshman year, and focused on playing the piano at school instead, eager to return to those times of tranquility.

~One of the few classmates that stuck around from two years back. They are close to the point where he is often by her side when he has nothing to do and even goes as far as cooking her bento. In class, they tend to stick together when it comes to group projects, When lunch time comes around, they spend the time eating his homemade bento on the rooftop and enjoy the breeze and the fragrances that drift over from the nearby crimson glories and fragrant clouds that the gardening club cares for. She hopes to one day return the favor.

"Mn, he's very knowledgeable. He must have some kind of book detector in his head. His skill at locating the books we look for is too legendary. Is he a Pok*mon?"
Rei gets along fairly well with the school librarian, often interacting with him when her and Yukio study together in the library.

More of a very close acquaintance than a friend. He was drawn to the music room by her music and she enjoys hearing him harmonize with her music. She knows his name but not much else.

-Rei talks to herself often and tends to use inanimate objects to talk for her when it comes to stronger opinions that most people would rather not voice.
-While her skill on a violin is well-known, no one in Japan has actually seen her play, leaving them skeptical.
-Loves Cooking/Food but cannot cook to save her life.
-Lives alone with the exception of a maid that comes by while she's at school to clean after her.
-From a wealthy family. Although she has money, it's stashed away for her future. Aside from pocket money for food and such, she is pretty broke.
