Pack Lands

The Alpha licked the pup. "I'll be right back. Let me go get some food for you." She stood up and looked around at her pack, letting out a howl to call any who wanted to come hunt with them. She looked to the male and nodded before taking off back into the snow. She crouched down once they were about a mile away from the den. She sniffed the air, sensing where the elk would be. She turned to the wolf beside her.

"They will be here in a minute. If you wait until the majority of the pack goes by there are slower ones at the back." She whispered right as the group of elk began to move past them. Clem backed up, unseen, and waited.

fang looked around noticing how many wolves there were. he looked at the pups and then heard the howl. when he saw the alpha and the male leave for a hunting trip. he remained vigilant as he was the guard.

Rain watched as the alpha left, confused as to why she was so nice. Alphas weren't suppose to be nice. They were suppose to be leaders. The pup saw the wolf standing guard and decided to ask him what she was to do now that the pack had taken on an extra omega. Wincing, the brown pup hobbled over to the vigilant wolf, whining slightly whenever she bumped her paw the wrong way.

fang looked at the pup he got up and walked over to her. he picked her up by the scruff of her neck he then walked back to his spot he set down the pup and layed down "lay down and rest"

The pup looked up, confused. "Isn't there work to do? Does your alpha have anything that needs to be done?" She asked. She wanted to lay down, oh how she would love to rest, but she had been taken in from the cold by these kind wolves. She had to repay them somehow and show that she was useful to them.

"there is work to be done by an injured pup" he looked at her "so rest until you are healed"

Rain frowned before finally lying down and unintentionally curling into the older wolf. She was tired and hurt so she fell asleep almost immediately. Her ears twitched slightly in her sleep as she rested.

fang layed his head down on the pup. it reminded him of his old pack but he shook off those memories

Clem felt the pack of elk move faster than normal and found her chance. She jumped, running toward the pack. She took out a straggler in the back effortlessly. Once it was down she bit it's neck until it stopped moving. She got up, pulling it back towards the den slowly. The thing was heavy but it would feed the pack. She heard something and stopped, twitching her ears back and forth.

shade looked around and followed clem "you heard that too right?"

Rain had been sleeping just fine when her source of protection left her. She blinked blearily as she saw the wolf talk to the Alpha. She wanted to go over there, ask why they weren't back in the den, but she was too tired. She yawned, laying her head back down as she closed her brown eyes. It couldn't be too important anyway. Whatever was keeping them over there was their business. She would help when asked. For now, she was going to just sleep.

fang slowly lifted his head up from the pup he looked down at her "go back to sleep if this concerns us theyll get us." he layed his head back down on the pup

The young, white wolf lay curled underneath a bush. The claw mark over her eye and snout itched from the dry blood over the cuts. She tried to hold back a whimper as she watched the two wolves take out an elk and scatter the rest of the herd. Staying low to the ground, she tried to push back deeper, the gash in her paw making her yelp again. She paused seeing the two wolves stop, and held her breath.

Clem let out a short howl, sniffing the air. She could tell someone else was there, another wolf not part of her pack. She whipped her head around again, her teeth still in the elk, just to make sure it was dead. She looked to the wolf beside her. "Do you want to bring this back to the pack?" She questioned before taking a few steps away, following the scent of the new wolf. She howled again. "I won't hurt you, are you okay?"

fang shot up quickly and spinted out of the cave he caught up to the alpha in no time. "what is it"

Clem snorted. "Must have been nothing." She mumbled, going back to her kill. She grabbed it by the throat and began dragging it back to her pack. She dropped it in the middle and nodded for everyone to go and eat. It was a large Elk, almost 300 pounds. She sat back, letting her pack eat first. She would eat the remainder. She went over to the pup and grabbed it by the scruff of the neck before plopping her down in front of the elk.
"Eat." She growled and walked away, sitting and watching the pack before her.

Rain blinked as she was suddenly picked up and lowered her ears at the alpha's growl. She quickly did as the alpha told her, eating from the elk gratefully. She had only taken out a small chunk before backing away, full and satisfied. She walked over to the alpha, head down, ears flattened and her tail between her legs. Maybe the older female was angry, and if she was Rain would do anything to appease her.

Clem licked the pups face. "I'm not mad at you." She laughed and laid down, pulling the small pup close. "You need to sleep now, unless you are thirsty. If you go down that small path there is a river that goes through it, you can get water that way."

Rain looked up at the alpha, giving her the smallest of smiles before curling up next to her. She was full and sleepy, and the alpha was very warm. Just as the pup was falling asleep, she blurrily thought of her mother, smiling as she 'saw' her. "Thank you... Mommy..." She mumbled, falling asleep peacefully.
