Overwatch: Tomb of Kings

Soldier: 76 would turn at the sound of a long, monstrous howl, eyes widening. That wasn't the sound of a bunch of underpaid grunts and mercenaries charging at him with some cheap weapons and whatever bullshit Talon fed their minds. That wasn't the sound of a horde of reprogrammed omnics, which Soldier: 76 considered to be the least likely option.

No...it was something outright ridiculous.

"I'm getting too old for this.." 76 would unsurprisingly growl, quickly formulating a plan in his head as the beast began to draw closer. He didn't have time to think about where the beast came from, he was more concerned about killing it. The soldier was already moving, pounding his feet on the cold ground as he made a sprint to the left. "MCCREE, SEE IF YOU CAN USE YOUR FLASHBANGS ON IT!" 76 ordered, continuing to sprint and draw the beasts attention.

"Fat and stupid is no way to live your life, son." Soldier: 76 would taunt the Cyberdemon as he continued to sprint, before suddenly taking a leap up, with a heavy grunt. The soldier would sail up into the air slightly, turning around mid-air and taking precise aim at the Cyberdemons general head area.

The under-barrel of the rifle would flash with a bright blue glare, as a trio of helix rockets would sail towards the Cyberdemon at an insane speed, leaving a swirling blue trail behind them.

What the Hell was this thing? He didn't take long to dwell on it as he stepped back to ready himself. Though he was never one to listen to orders, sometimes the orders lined up with what he would have done anyways. "You got it, boss." A flashbang flew out of his hand in the blink of an eye at the demon's face, McCree facing it down head on without a hint of fear in his eye. "Whoa there!" He fanned the hammer at the creature three times in a matter of seconds, his hands a blur of motion as he reloaded the gun each time. If it got too close, he'd roll away and do it again. He was in his element; a dashing duelist facing danger head on with a glint in his eyes and a smile on his face. "I got a question for y'all... Are all Talon agents as butt ugly as this one? And I ain't countin' the blue one... She gives me the creeps." McCree placed a shot in the creature's foot.

"AWWWWWWWWWWRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!"

The creature was beyond anything this world was yet capable, though both Overwatch members would not have known. All they would have known was that it was big, it was ugly and it seemed to devour their weapons for breakfast. Impervious seemingly, explosives had little outward effect. A strange energy seemed to gather about it and it snarled, firing off missiles when claws seemed to miss. Eventually the floor was gashed and pock-marked with craters.

The Cyberdemon itself snarling as it slowly, got to its feet from the latest attack. Eyes flashed with hate and disconcerting intelligence.

Fire began to flare about it and as it did?

An angel appeared. Of sorts.

"Too slow."

Ally and friend of Overwatch, once upon a time. Mercenary. Killer-for-Hire. An assassin for bid, within the network of Talon. A shadow of despair.

Reaper had revealed himself and his shotguns would blast like a call to arms, the explosive bursts impacting all around as the deadly assassin made his play, when both McCree and the old soldier found themselves most vulnerable. It was how he did things, always coming when they were weakest for him to savor and enact the kill.

But Reaper would be denied as a white flash of blinding light took both Overwatch members away.

Reaper lowered his shotguns and if any expression crossed his features, they were hidden by the bone-white mask he wore. Talon operatives rushed in to capture the Cyberdemon and he ignored them as he said under his breath, turning to leave.

"Next time."

GM Note: Sorry this RP couldn't be as extensive or as grand as I originally wanted. But you both did great. Hope you can use this to your satisfactions.
