 In our world lies a secret and behind that secret – lies death. Not everything is as it seems, we think we're safe but we're not. We figure out things that eventually break us.

"I taste it, I smell it. It's all I want. I can't be saved."

[align=center]In my darkest hours I could not foresee,
That the tide could turn so fast to this degree,
Can't believe my eyes,
How can you be so blind?
Is the heart of stone, no empathy inside?
Time keeps on slipping away and we haven't learned,
So in the end now what have we gained?[/align]

We're twins, we can sense things about each other normal people can't, we have a certain bond that makes us one soul in two bodies. That's how I always believed it to be. Eventually these thoughts disappear as we grow, that night changed everything for us.

"Happy birthday!"

On our seventeen birthdays our nightmares began, we were attacked and . . . . He no longer had a sister. She was completely gone. Tochiro Tachibana has been searching for his twin for countless days, however, when they were finally united, it wasn't something he wanted, he could never comprehend on how the events would turn out – it was traumatizing to him. His older sister turned and changed into something completely not human, her soul ripped from her body and all that was left – was a 'shell' of her former-self. A slave to the night and a monster starving for human's blood.

"You can't help but to follow in your sister's footsteps little brother. Stop following."

She tried to convince him she was a hopeless –cause-, however, he does not believe this and continues to hunt down the things that changed her, trying to find a solution to saving her, even when it all seems to lead him nowhere but to –dead- ends. Tochiro doesn't know that there is a much larger story behind his sister's disappearance and transformation, all he knows for now is that he must save his twin from her destructive path. All their hopes and dreams for the future stolen away from them.

Welcome to Tochiro's story, are you with him in destroying the darkness which roams the Earth or are you the darkness that keeps him from his salvation?

[Hi there, this is our very first role-play here and it's open to –all-, as long as people write up the proper profile sheets and decide to contribute to the story whole-heartedly. So far I will be mainly playing as "game-master" for events and bad-guys, anyone is welcomed to create their own story to be part of this and play "game-master" to their own sub-plots in this universe as well. Death will occur unfortunately, but I'd rather people get settled in and develop story before any –death- truly happens. Anyone can become a main character here, for now though, Tochiro is definitely that main male-lead. This is in modern day Japan.]

[align=center]~Races.

Humans: Self-explanatory.

Vampires: Beast of the night, creatures that prey on the humans. However, some aren't that way and are capable of controlling the hunger, thus not all of them are villains and can be heroes. They have super-strength and speed. Mind-control which is called compulsion, it can work on anything, 'cept other vampires – UNLESS.

A. Rank A. Vampires have different and stronger capabilities than those of half-breed origins. Rank A's are full blood vampires, vampires born into the world as monsters, which make them the oldest living vampires in the world. They're able to compel other vampires into obeying them and when one of these vampires –sire-, their victim becomes a 'loyal' servant because of the rank A's blood flowing through their system.

B. Rank B's are half-vampires, vampires created through a –bite-mark, instead of being born of the vampire origin. However, they're been around for far longer than normal vampires. They can use compulsion; however, they can't compulsion other vampires, only other races such as humans and werewolves.

C. Rank C's are new-born's, they have uncontrollable impulses and need guidance in order to keep in-control, and otherwise they're a –lost- cause or just wild. They have the same capabilities of rank B but weaker and less-in-control of their compulsion.

Werewolves: They are cursed humans that turned during the full-moon, some are able to control their animal instinct, while others go crazy and kill innocent. Werewolves must be trained to control their animal side and transformations are usually extremely bone-breaking-painful, they have healing abilities. However, in this world there are more than Werewolves, such as were panthers, were leopards and much more.

Skin-walkers. They're a different type of 'were' and are able to turn at –will-, usually capable of turning into any –animal- they've seen, however, it's a curse in its self, and they can shift-shape into any human as well. But there's a catch in becoming a 'skin walker' and only certain people in our universe know of this transformation. [Learned through role-play.]

Witches/Warlocks – Special beings with supernatural powers, their powers expand and almost capable of doing anything, however, they work on keeping the 'balance' of the world.

[I'm using some stuff from Trublood and a mixture of The Vampire Diaries. Any suggestions are welcomed, if you want to play any other race, it's very considerable - just speak up.]

Chiharu was a normal high school girl, just trying to get through school and live her life with her twin brother - Tochiro. Though she had always wanted something to occur. Life was getting boring and seemed merely like a repeating process, that's when she met –him-, he brought her into a new life, one where she didn't have to hold restraint. However, he told her, if she wanted to fully enjoy her new life, she needed to turn off her humanity and work on just protecting herself. Her loyalty to him pumped through her veins strongly, now she runs from her brother and tries to keep him away from the supernatural beings that lurk in the darkness. She is incapable of making him understand her wishes of letting go of her old life, perhaps even a part of her misses her normalcy, but it's all too late now. Her hands are stained in blood; people have died to her hands alone. She can't return to the old days of peace…

She under the guide of her mother, this is where she met Tochiro. Sona's mother is a very powerful Witch; their family bloodline comes from the 'original' witch, the one most powerful family of witches that the Earth has ever seen. Her mother has strong powers and thinks Sona alongside Tochiro has massive potential. However, Sona doesn't see things the same-way her mother does. Kona thinks trying to save Tochiro's sister is a –lost- cause and wants him to give up on the notion but Sona doesn't believe that. As long as Tochiro believes in himself, she thinks he can find a way in order to release his sister from this curse of night.

Life unexpectedly jumped from the norm at his and his sister's Seventeenth birthday. Tochiro had been a simple, happy boy his whole life- that is, until one faithful night he lost his sister to the bloodsucking creatures of the night. He had desperately only wanted to stay on this normal path of life. While life was just boring, predicted every day to be the same, he was at least with people he loved and cared for. When his Sister left... everything just slowly started to come breaking down around him. The normal life he had once cherished so greatly, was gone. For some time, he believed that she wasn't dead, and would return on her own. That feeling didn't last long for him. One day, he simply believed that if he didn't go out and find his sister himself... they would never see each other again. After she left, he tried desperately for anything that could help him search for her. Clues. People. The Police surely weren't going to help him.

For as long as he could remember, Tochiro loved Magic. He loved the idea of creating objects from nothingness, or pulling a rabbit out of a hat. But he never, ever thought they were real, until he met an actual Magician, whom could see the talent inside of him. He followed this Magician, and with her help, he learned the tools to save his Sister. It took far too long for him to, months he couldn't get back, and he left his training early, turning his back on his life completely to find his sister. Though, when he found her, he was terrified of what he found. They had turned her into one of them, and for that, he would never forgive those creatures, and the boy would never stop attempting to bring her back into the life and save her; no matter what he had to endure to do so.

After being raised by his father whom was also as Mystical Creature hunter, He learned all about these creatures that his father had told him plagued the land, hiding within the shadows of Man's society. He learned a great deal of things about these mystical creatures, learned their weakness, and with his father's help, how to use specific tools to take out specific creatures. His father was taken from him while on a mission to investigate an abandoned Castle on the outskirts of the Town he lived in. Around this time, Tsuyoshi was still in school, Senior Year of High school. Of course, upon hearing the news he left the school and went on to carry on his father's work. He had the skills he needed to do so.

Two years has passed since his father's death, two years since he left his Home behind. Two years of training to be at his top form. He went to the castle and found a his father's cloak, and Blade. His body was no where to be seen..Could he have become what he has fought so hard to destroy? He doesn't know. He carries his father's will with the cloak and Blade. He wanders from town to town doing work that needs doing, as well as seeking for any who know of the creatures that once occupied the Castle known as Castle Oblivion.
