Ordinis Sancti Percute; The True Accounting of World War 2.

Investigators as I understand them are more of the 'non-combat specialist' version of the soldier, be it scouting, support, tracking or shock horror actual investigation :p
Basically yea they can fight but their skills lie mostly elsewhere, you might notice my own Investigator lacks many of the more 'tracker' styled skills, the keen sight bit is as close as he gets, but he has plenty of other utility to go along with that.

As for the Occultist traits there, while there may be some overlap now with our druid there's also plenty of room to grow separate as the rp progresses (kad's system means we will add more traits over time in a simp;lified xp system, basically we complete a mission we get a trait or two is how it usually goes.)

Thanks for the tips! I chose the investigator, seeing as there's only one at the moment (Gat's). I also changed the trait "decorum II" to "mysticism", please look it over!

Elizabeth Milton
Elizabeth is a tender and caring person, but she may have some firm opinions that cannot be changed. However, these can sometimes equate strength of character. She is sensible and patient, and could be compared to Mother Earth in every sense of the word—she can be placid, but also extremely stubborn with explosive temper, although slow to ignite. However, this tumultuous temper is rarely seen, as Elizabeth aims for balance and harmony in her life. She loves nature and desires nothing more than to live in comfortable and colorful surroundings.

Even though Elizabeth is clever, she is not interested in proving herself an intellectual for its own sake, and she will be content to let her friends shine while she provides convivial environments in which to do so. She favors security and heart's ease, thus she will go through life planting and nurturing seeds and will patiently wait for them to take root. This is because Elizabeth is mostly unadventurous, and too much change can be a threat. She is more likely to get into a rut, preferring to preserve the status quo, so that alteration in her life comes slowly or from outside sources. However, whenever new experiences impose, Elizabeth learns quickly and never makes the same mistake twice. Her appeal is luring, mystery, and earthly sensuality and practicality. Her primary challenges are sharing and change.

Elizabeth loves treats and will respond to sweetness and light much better than to anything else. There is passion lying underneath the calm and stable façade, she simply has not unlocked it for the world to see. She is passionate and always tender, seductive and will pamper her partner both in the bedroom and outside of it. Affectionate and sensual, she enjoys the romantic thrill of courtship, but rarely rushes into a relationship. Her relationships may take quite a while to get off the ground, as she carefully thinks about all the ramifications of intimacy with her partner before she commits herself. She is very generous with her partner, and although she is somewhat self-centered, Elizabeth often puts the needs of someone she loves above her own. She does not need as much excitement as other women.

It is difficult to truly anger Elizabeth, as she has a way of shrugging things off that others might react negatively to. She is nurturing and cares for her loved ones in a surprisingly romantic way, given her logical way of dealing with the rest of her life. However, she has her limits, and her loved ones must learn what these are and strive to never push beyond them. The gentle, thoughtful demeanor they have grown accustomed to can transform into a driving force of fury. But, when it comes to attraction, her secret weapon is serenity. There is a composed, peaceful, and patient quality to her that is unmistakable and irresistible to many. Most people sense that she is solid, never desperate, or overly needy—she is genuine.

History
Elizabeth was born in 1912, Grantham, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom to John and Anne Milton. Her father was a local Councilman and renowned author, and her mother a housemaid. Due to her father's position in the community, Elizabeth had the opportunity to attend school. Shortly thereafter, her parents and teachers noticed that whatever the girl read or heard she could recall with pinpoint accuracy. At first they simply assumed that she had an extraordinary memory, but when Elizabeth could rewrite a book she had but read once, suspicion of Witchcraft of possession rose. In 1921, Elizabeth's parents arranged for their daughter to see a priest, and talk. After the session, the priest admitted that he could not identify any signs of demonic possession or works of Witchcraft. Regardless of his findings, the priest reported the session to his superiors by noting "otherworldly memory".

In 1931, Elizabeth was accepted into the University of Oxford. Her parents, especially her father, pleaded their daughter to study mathematics and physics, but she chose another path. Elizabeth's major became philosophy. In 1937, she received her postgraduate Doctor of Philosophy degree, specializing in metaphysics. Shortly after this achievement, the priest that spoke with her as a child came to her doorstep in Oxford. He carried a message, an invitation to extraordinary and meaningful work. The priest revealed that he was a member of the Covenant of Peace, and he had kept his eye on her ever since they met in Grantham.

The following months were to be most interesting, indeed. Due to her uncanny memory and education, Elizabeth was trained and prepared for the Ordinis Sancti Percute in the wake of the Covenant's public display. While her specialization did not include an extensive ordeal of combat training, it did involve a number of heavy subjects such as investigation, decorum, and religious history and mysticism. The revelation of occult entities was not as shocking to Elizabeth as it would have been to a normal person—being a scholar of metaphysics tends to form an open mind.

Investigator (1)
Eidetic Memory: Elizabeth has the ability to recall images, sounds, and objects after only a few or short instances of exposure, with high precision and without using mnemonic techniques. (2)

Decorum: Elizabeth has training in basic decorum frequently employed by high society and public officials. (1)

Mysticism: Elizabeth has received training in religious history and mystical practices, able to somewhat interpret and decipher symbols, sings, and texts. (1)

Gunslinger: Elizabeth knows how to aim in the right direction and shoot with a pistol, but most of the time she will leave the fighting to others. (1)

Education: Elizabeth's education consists of higher studies in philosophy, which includes four branches: epistemology, logic, metaphysics, and ethics. (1)

Equipment
Usually carries a stitched bag with various books inside, which contain information concerning arcane lore, mysticism, and analyses of different symbols, riddles, and signs, etc. The bag also contains various objects such as a flask of fragrance, a mirror, red lipstick, a comb, and a small handgun.

Disclaimer: I, "Serene", consent to having my character murderised for the needs of the plot, to move things on, because I'm plain unlucky or did something incredibly stupid.

Accepted.

@Gat: You're accepted too :p

Naturally, but then I already knew I was accepted via steam :p

Very nice bio there Serene, I look forward to interacting with her.

Yay! Thank you, Kad :)

And thank you, Gat! I'm sure Liz and Nathan will interact a lot, seeing as they're both investigators and the only proper humans. I'd say that they have a lot in common, hah!

I feel like I should take offence to that.

You shouldn't, we all know you're not a proper human, you're a Panda.

Important Personnel of the Ordinis Sancti Percute.

General Mark Thompson

b78896349fb383f395003fda34081609.jpg

A British man who is in overall command of the Ordinis Sancti Percute, he made his name
earlier in his life, though most of it remains utterly classified by the intelligence community
though rumour amongst the unit says that he wrestled a dragon serving the Nazis and
turned in its hoard to the Queen personally.

He is also known to backhand anyone who says it in his hearing with 'Don't be a bloody
daft bugger.'

Colonel Julia Matrovka
Sniper-Julia-Petrovna-killed-80-Germans.jpg~original

Julia is on secondment from the Soviet Union after the co-operation began
her experience and skill are among the unions best and, so to, does it turn
out her administrative skills are nearly a match. Julia serves as either a
mission commander, or unit quartermaster.

Lieutenant Bill Fullerton

main-qimg-fa22010f45e1cd588ce890b471bcad39

Bill is an overly enthusiastic young man new to the war, a capable man if one
overly prone towards unwarranted enthusiasm and making exceptionally sexist
jests. He's now known to avoid Julia at all times after stating that she was "good
for nothing more than sitting on my hand and washing dishes" and nearly
being shot for the remark.

"Morgana Le Fay"

King_Arthur_II_concept_art_4.jpg

Though people may argue over whether it is really THE Morgana Le Fay what nobody
argues about is that she is the representative for the Covenant in the Ordinis Sancti
Percute and in overall authority of any Occultists and Supernatural within the unit
including being in overall charge of discipline. It's not known whether she is a super-
natural or simply a vastly powerful occultist, though she does have some tales about
Merlin, not many of them nice. She seems popular enough with people and doesn't
seem to be the evil enchantress the stories claim her to be referring to the stories as
"a woefully mistold tale of a divorce gone horrifically wrong."

Thard Meadhands

9c8799accd3ebc21ee4d4108de333db0.jpg

Thard is a Dwarf who serves somewhat as the Ordinis' inventor, he is enough
of an occultist that he can integrate some exceptional ideas and practices into
his inventions, and so when a historical means to defeat an enemy aren't to
be found he'll work to invent a new, technological, means to do it instead.

And then probably volunteer to join the teams on the frontline to test it
personally.

Important Enemies of the Ordinis Sancti Percute

Heinrich Himmler

Heinrich_Himmler.jpg

The man who's authority the Thule Society serves under. Though independent
it is Himmler that gives the Society direction and, it is thought, directly in charge
of the laboratories and 'temples' where the blackest practices are found.

Walter Nauhaus.

Rudolf+Hess+2+-+Occult+History+Third+Reich+-+Peter+Crawford.jpg

Walter Nauhaus is the leader of the Thule Society and it's believed, a
necromancer with no equal. He runs the Thule Society with an iron fist
and there are standing orders for ALL Ordinis Sancti personell that, if seen
he is to be killed at any cost, up to and including their own lives and failing
their mission. Though if a mission is of enough consequence, the officers
in charge may suspend this standing order.

Lady Von Stronheim

Gp9OQ8R.jpg

Also known by the moniker "The Iron Bitch" she is Himmler's long arm.
An assassin sent to eliminate any of the more persistent problems the
Thule Society face in their duties. It's unknown if Stronheim is an occultist
supernatural or simply a soldier without peer. None of the Allies seem too
keen to discover the details.

Rudolf Van Heimlein

Supernatural-s8-ep13-Nazi-leader-performing-spell.png

Rudolf leads a unit that is pretty much directly built as a counter
to the Ordinis Sancti Percute, his sole duty and that of his unit is
to find, counter and destroy and of the Sancti operating against
Germany, or the Thule Society in specific. Though many suspect
he harbours a desire to replace Walter as the Societies top
dog. Regardless, he's an accomplished Necromancer.

Hmm... *Pokes head in*

Gimmie a bit. :ferret:

woops, I noticed I forgot to add background to Kani.

o-o Gonna throw it at a certain GM in the next couple of days... probably while we do the battle D:<

Name: Captain Richard D. Winters
Gender: Male
Appearance:
HD0SU.gif

Specialisation: Soldier

History: Born in New Holland, Pennsylvania, Richard knew his goal was to be succesfull in life from start to finish. Quiet in classrooms, he achieved going to college and graduating with high honors before the war. He was drafted into the Army, where he was a private. His skills as a leader were put to test as he went to OCS, meeting his new friend, Lewis Nixon, as they both went on to become Commissioned Officers in Easy Company, 506th PIR of the 101st Airborne after volunteering.

Traits:
Basic Combat Training: Proficient enough in basic use of weaponry
SMG Training: From Thompsons to Grease Guns, to MP40's and FG42's, his increased knowledge in SMGs makes him more proficient
Marksmanship Training: Training as the airborne has its perks, and he has more knowledge of the rifles of the US Army and the German Wehrmracht!
Covert Tactics: As a paratrooper, silence is important. Hiding out in areas that seem too heavily defended are the basic traits of a paratrooper: "We're Airborne. We're supposed to be surrounded."
Paratrooper training: Of course, to be in tje airborne, you gotta know how to jump off a plane, survive in the wilderness, and have high levels of dexterity!
OCS candidate and graduated: His high intelligence in leadership makes him a qualified leader!
CQC Training: And if you don't have your rifle? Well, it's time to get to the nitty gritty of things, and nothing will bring down a paratrooper.

Equipment: M1 Garand. Proficient in firing with the rifle, he almost never switches it out for any other weapon. Colt .45 in a side holster. Mini compass in zipper.

Other: Is a very silent man, except when it comes to leading his men and paying attention to his friends.

I consent that I, Richard Winters, could die so horrendously, everyone will remember me as the guy whose body was blown into chunks. I understand that this could be to move the rp forward, or because I was dumb enough to run up to the enemy head on with only my bayonet and them with an MG42.

Accepted, I find it a bit odd you took SMG Training but went with a Garand as your preferred weapon instead of Marksman which might suit it better. But I assume it's a "Shit, out of ammo." *Picks up MP40 off of dead Nazi... that is a "re-dead" nazi.*

    • Name: Alcina Salem
      Gender: Female
Appearance: While capable of appearing like most anyone else, she seems to look like a porcelain doll of a woman with alabaster skill and straight, glossy hair of black and white. Her eyes are a vivid green, mimicking the colour of a cat. She is small and slender, standing around 5'2" and weighing no more than 100 lbs. Around her neck is an ornate choker with a pentacle embedded at its center.

While a cat, she takes on the form of a large, albeit lithe black house cat with short fur and white patches over its chest. Her eyes are the same vivid green and she wears the same choker as a collar.
      Specialization: Occultist (Witch)
History: Salem's family originated from Ireland where they helped shore the myths of several faerie tale and witching myths with their talents and brews throughout the centuries. Most infamous was their identity as the Cat Sidhe, believed to lay cows barren of milk and steal souls of corpses. However, with the onset of the potato famine was affected as was the rest of Ireland and migrated to the States by sea.

The family name was lost on the way through Ellis Island and much of the family knowledge was encouraged to be forgotten. In fact, the idea of being Irish at all was not a desirable trait in the States. The bounced from New York to Boston and inwards along the states with the work along the railways. Eventually, with the promise of the land rush they ended up in Oklahoma. They resided there for a couple decades in a decently prosperous time, but all good things seem to come to an end, at least for the Salem family.

With the onset of the depression and the invention of machines that could farm the fields far more effectively than an entire family, the Salem family was removed from their land once more. It was at this time this time that Alcina was just a baby. The depression had a terrible impact upon the family as they traveled across the country in search of a place to live and find work. There was little that they could do in such a time.

They lost several along the way to illness and starvation. There was no other way about it. Some left out of hopelessness. Still, as they reached the New Orleans area, there was a new light returning as they began to fall back to old habits. They returned back to the old family knowledge of witchcraft and lore and make a living peddling to the rich robberbarons that resided there. It was not much, but it was a start and it allowed them to make a living in relative comfort. It made an impact, though, upon Alcina as she grew to have been malnourished in her infancy, she has a stunted growth pattern.

      Specialization: Investigator
History: The events denoted in Stoker's Dracula were a true story. Abraham Van Helsing was the first in his line to take up the mantle of vampire hunter, passed down from the Baron Vordenburg who slew the vampiress Carmilla, who was in turn passed down the knowledge of the supernatural realm from his predecessor. What the tales of Van Helsing fail to mention, that while Abraham's daughter passed away and his wife went mad, he had other family in the form of an adolescent son, Johnathan Van Helsing, so named after Abraham's former student who brings the mysterious case of Lucy Westenra to him and had formerly saved Abraham's life.

Johnathan inherited from Abraham the knowledge of the supernatural realm and for a time reveled in the daring adventure of the trade. He traveled Europe in search of greater information and delved deep into study to discover greater information on the creatures that went bump in the night and developing sure ways to destroy them. However, it was after visiting Berlin that he met his future wife, Katja Dresdner. The two settled back in his home city of Ravenstein in the North Brabant province of the Netherlands. It was there that the duo had their first son, Han Van Helsing. They had two more children, Faustus and Mirna Van Helsing.

Han, himself, was a very curious child and grew up always looking to learn what the world has to offer. He delved into studies with gleeful abandon and would not surface for hours, sometimes days. It was thought that he would spend the majority of his days buried in books before passing away in a great fall of stacks that would him alive. It was luckily enough that his studies abroad would draw him from his reclusive shell. He married young, at the ripe age of 17 to a young Matilde Abernash, whom he met during his studies at Oxford. As it would turn out, it would seem that there were no end to the harsh underbelly of this world. It stood, that with the settling down of one of the monster hunters Europe had to offer that, the creatures of the night and fables began to resurface once more. Almost as if in retribution, Matilde was abducted in the dead of night as Han studied late.

Unfortunately, Han had not learned of the other world from his father. Matilde was gone for days. Days became weeks. Han had begun to lose hope when she was found by the local constable and returned to him, a ranting and raving mess of nerves. What may be of her sanity, Han could not determine, but his love of her drove him to hide her unstable mental state and play as if nothing were wrong, making it a great game whenever she would mention the monstrous creatures that were now one with her stories. It was during a particular visit from his father that Han would learn of the supernatural creatures. In a fit of rage, he demanded to learn the ways from his father in order to avenge the horrors that had befallen his beloved.

And so it went that Han began his double life. He searched for the monsters that his wife spoke of, his father pledging to take care of the rattled Matilde for him. They appeared to have moved on. The trail was cold. Still, he traveled Europe, much as his father did. The studious professor by day, he began to implement new technologies into the hunter's kit and adapt relics that had become the stable of hunting fiends.

In recent times, the Nazi threat has put a strain on his home. In the interest of his wife and family, he has joined the ranks of the Ordinis Sancti. If nothing else, it may turn up new leads on the creatures that ruined his happy marriage.

  • Name: Calvin Daniel Walters. ("Waltzy")

    Gender: Male.

    Appearance:
    4fd74a1090f734770f29e629fff49a2c.jpg

    (Note: Blue eyes, brown hair.)
    Specialization: Soldier.

History: Calvin was born in the United States of America, on the east coast, in a rather idyllic small town. There, he grew up as the son of a pastor and house wife, and though his family had serious financial struggles through the Great Depression, they got by through community drives and cooperation. He worked hard, and through a combination of a naturally handsome complexion and humble upbringing he turned out to have a stellar level of charisma.

He signed up for the army by the mid 1930's, brimming with patriotism for his country, and his charisma only continued to serve him there. Though not the most well educated man in the world, his combat training sees him through most situations in a basic capacity, and he was found to have natural leadership capabilities. Being a simple but effective grunt, he was quickly scooped up by the Ordinis Sancti Percute organization. While surprised by the existence of supernatural creatures and magic, he quickly grew to be on board with the organization's ideals when it involved fighting the Nazi regime.

A full blooded American, he doesn't hesitate to speak his mind, or lead the way to victory where others might pause. He will do his best to protect his squad like a second family. Unlike others of the times, he tends to view female squad mates with approval so long as they maintain some level of femininity, believing in the old fashioned (present) ways of thinking that men should be men, and women should be women. He maintains good relationships with his parents, though they often don't see eye to eye politically, being that they're closeted communists and he's a capitalist to the point that he would bleed red white and blue if given the option. Don't ask him about his younger brother.

    Traits:
    • Inspiring Presence: Calvin is a natural bastion of bravery and this rubs off on his comrades, giving a small, subtle boost to bravery and seeing through opponent's illusions to himself and his entire squad.
      • American Hero (Rank 2): "UNCLE SAM CAN'T HAVE YOU LYING AROUND ON THE JOB, SOLDIER!" This allows him to sacrifice his inspiring presence for a round to cause an ally to fight with extreme bravado, improving the odds of success on all of their actions that round. If he uses this too often, enemies will turn on him in the bravado speeches and cause his inspiring presence to break for a round without any positive effect for an ally.
    • Rifles Basic: "This is my rifle, this is my gun. One's for shooting, one's for fun." Improves his usage of rifles to something resembling that of someone who knows what they're doing. In short, he passed basic, with flying colours.
      • Rifles Intermediate (Rank 2): Calvin has grown rather fond of his M1 Grande, and when using semi-automatic rifles and assault rifles, Calvin rarely misses so long as he's not under fire. This also makes it possible for him to consistently hit specific points: Legs, arms, chest, neck, head—meaning that if the enemy decides to wear armour with weak points, Calvin can make them regret that.
    • CQC Basic: "Stick the bayonet on the end, wield a knife blade-point down, don't be afraid to use my helmet as a slapping tool..." Basics of melee combat.
    • Full American Unload: When using his firearms to cover allies, his accuracy and rate of fire is boosted and enemies caught out of cover will feel the result. Painfully. Behaves like a suppression, though it forces him to reload the next round.

Equipment: M1 Grande, Colt M1911, Grenades, Backpack filled with supplies, Goggles. Miscellaneous supplies one would typically find on a soldier of the times.

Miscellaneous: Carries a bible and wears a silver cross around his neck out of the (probably superstitious) belief that silver will ward off werewolves and vampires. His younger brother was a draft dodger, and it tends to be a sore point for him.

Disclaimer: I, Brovo, do hereby decree that Kadaeux has permission to murder Calvin.
  • Name: Ituha, meaning "Sturdy Oak."

    Gender: Female.

    Appearance:
    30501dd0162932b3b92c8ab1e0405314.jpg

    Specialization: Occultist.

History: Ituha was born to one of the last Native American tribes in the midwest, on a Native American reserve. It was an odd time, as it was on the tail end of the attempts by the government to assign individual Native Americans land rights as opposed to entire tribes. Regardless, Ituha was relatively kept away from such politics, and was trained in the ways of the land by her people. Born a gentle soul, she sought out the powers of her ancestors, to heal the sick that often were turned away by those outsiders her tribe called the "white plague." Her curiosity finally piqued as she learned how to read and write, and took to researching both from public libraries and her people's stories to connect the dots.

Traveling out for several days on foot on a spiritual journey, she found what she had been looking for: An elemental wolf's lair. She entered the lair, and awakened the wolf with tribal seances. The wolf bonded to her, and without any caution she immediately got to her feet and bolted to her tribe. Her joys of healing the sick and playing with the wind would quickly fade as an agent of the Ordinis Sancti Percute organization came to investigate mysterious reports from white settlers about a native woman capable of bending the wind to her will. Though she did not want to leave her people, she understood the greater ramifications of what was going on in the world, and without the public libraries the outsiders allowed her to use, she would have never been able to find Misha in the first place.

So, with great hesitation, she left to join the fight against the Nazis as a supporting agent.

Ituha is a calm, collected soul. She rarely speaks except to provide comforting words, or to inquire about a situation. Her gentle nature makes her naturally averse to violence, though she's willing to fight and even kill should it be necessary to resolve a situation. Expect her to rush to the aid of the wounded, and failing that, to stay out of sight long enough to get to advantageous positions to blind enemies and disable their weaponry. Pleasant conversation and respect goes a long way to making this woman your friend.

    Traits:
    • Whisperwind: While not targeted or seen by enemies, can move a few feet near-instantly as a whisper on the wind. Winds at high speed can dislocate her further than intended. Travels further if she moves with the wind, rather than against it.
      • Boundless (Rank 2): This upgrade allows her to fade through thin walls and doorways, though it reduces the total distance she can travel using this ability and leaves her temporarily dizzy, which makes her briefly vulnerable.
    • Misha: Elemental wind wolf that takes physical form to leap to Ituha's defense. If dispelled, cannot be summoned again for several minutes while she heals in her own realm. Misha is able to understand the English language and may obey the orders of allies if Ituha is unable to issue her commands. Misha can be summoned even if Ituha is completely out of mana, but is physically weaker as a result.
    • Vanity of Western Men: Uses the wind to blow dust, sand, and other general disturbances into enemy firearms, technology, equipment, et cetera. If uninterrupted for a few seconds, she can completely disable enemy firearms and cause grenades to preemptively explode should an enemy attempt to pull the pin on them. Has no effect on melee weapons, so long as they have no electronic components.
    • Nature Nurtures: If out of direct harm, Ituha can mend broken bones and other wounds by rapidly increasing the otherwise natural healing process. If someone is hit with shrapnel, she must clean the wound of it and any other irritants first, or else risk causing greater harm by causing the wound to close around it. She can save people from the brink of death with this ability, though it will severely physically fatigue her until she has time to catch her breath, and it will only stabilize them.
    • Nature's Keeper, Nature's Child: Can use her wind magic to violently shove opponents several feet away from allies or herself. If they hit a wall or other physical barrier, it may cause bruising, or even broken bones if she's especially lucky. Enemies are typically dazed or knocked off their feet. This is primarily a self-defense spell, and requires she be within ten feet of the target to blow them back. (ex: Can't save an ally on the other side of the battlefield—she has to be close to her allies to save them.)

Equipment: Simple Native American garments, seeing no need to hide her background. She wears a voluminous multi-pattern green cloak she can use to camouflage against the environment if necessary. She carries a small bag full of nothing but sand and dust, in case she's in a clean environment that would otherwise prevent the effects of Vanity of Western Men. Ituha does carry a simple medical kit, for the purposes of cleaning out wounds so she can perform her healing magic without fear of sealing bits of bullets inside people's guts.

Miscellaneous: Where many of her people look upon white people with an (understandable) hatred, she tends to be more cautiously optimistic of them.

Disclaimer: I, Brovo, blah blah blah, et cetera, et cetera. I sign her life away to your capable care, Kadaeux. I'm sure this won't be a bad thing at all. No siree.
