In the land of kings and monsters, the people prayed for mercy from the chaos and two gods answered. One a woman with a beauty beyond compare with flowing red hair streaked with golds of the sun and blues of the skies, and the other, a man with strength no one could best. The woman, goddess Mariun, bestowed upon her four chosen individuals objects that appeared unique only to the individual it was destined for but seemed no more than a broken trinket to those not worthy. The man, god Raoul, bestowed upon his four chosen armor that could withstand demonic magic and blades that could cut through the toughest skins. Lead by these merciful gods, they alone restored order to the chaos. It was they who founded the Order of the Destined.

362c6e505a955c7d0cac34b713ffa5f4.png
The Order of the Destined was founded by two gods, Mariun, goddess of magic and sorcery, the sky, will, and birds, and Raoul, god of earth, metal, politics, and war. Together with their Destined, they brought wonder and hope into a world were there seemed to be none. But once the two gods felt their work was done, they chose two of their destined to lead the order and continue their practise and bestowed upon them their last gift, and perhaps the most precious, knowledge to aid them in their noble quest for order.

A century had passed since the rise of the Order, and since then what started off as a humble organization has turned into one of the greatest forces of this time with branches in every kingdom far and wide. But the Castle-city of Haven was where their story had started, the seaside settlement transforming into the largest city in the kingdom, and perhaps all of the nine great kingdoms. In the center, the castle towering tall and proud over it's people. In honor of Mariun and Raoul, a queen and king with equal power are chosen to lead, and it is to them the Order has sworn their loyalty.

The Order itself resides in a now sprawling construct on the edge of the city. Built right up against the Grand Wall that protects the city of outside invasion and monstrous forces at works it houses numerous disciples with new children, whether born or recruited, coming in on a semi-regular basis, and masters that help guide these children into initiates. A work staff aids in the care of the residences and the up keep of the grounds, but are by no means servants. Disciples, initiates, members, and masters alike are expected to clean up after themselves and are in charge of their living spaces. The grounds can house children thirteen and older, keeping the younger disciples, children who are still training to become initiates, in rooms of four with two bunk beds and chests to store items, and the older disciples, those who have seen their fifteenth winter in rooms of two with two beds and chests. Once inituated upon seeing their eighteenth winter, they are given the choice to live off grounds. The younger disciples, children who are still learning about the world, often live in nursery houses off the grounds in clusters of seven with a woman and a man to look after them. Unless one or both of their parents belong to the Order, then they can stay with them until the age of thirteen.

Besides living spaces, the Order also has a large dining room where they serve three meals a day, kitchens where anyone other than kitchen staff is not allowed, training grounds for both martial and magical purposes, classrooms, and study halls. Upon entrance, one can find themselves in the main hall where announcenents are given, disciples are initiated, and members can find missions posted on the message board; however, personally assigned missions, while rare, can be arranged in many other ways. The local bath houses and other establishments such as the forges also serve the Order for recreational and intellectual purposes.

But not all is well. Recently, Destined, a pairing of one warrior of Raoul and one sorceress of Mariun, have been going missing during their assignments and the Order is starting to become worried, especially now when they are to initiate their graduating disciples and send them off on their first quest. Murmurings have started amongst the masters of whether or not they should proceed, or delay the initiation until the two missing parties can be found. If they do, it would the first initiation delayed since the Order of the Destined was established.

  • Destined
A pairing of a Raoul Warrior and a Mariun Sorceress but can also refer to just one or the other. Destined are picked by the Grand Sorceress and the Grand Warrior.
    Destined Objects
Objects that appear only to the Sorceress that it chooses. To others it looks as any other mundane object of little value. These objects are what unlocks the sorceress's power and helps focus that power into spells. Without their object, a Sorceress can't cast spells. Objects aren't given to the Sorceress until their initiation into the Order. Until then they make use of dummy objects that allow for the use of magic for training purposes that are class specific but are not allowed to keep for themselves.
    Destined Bond
This describes the bond between a Sorceress and her object. Though, there are folk who believe a Sorceress who is paired with her warrior are bonded together for all eternity. This is mostly superstition though and plenty of Sorceresses find partners outside of their destined. Same with warriors.
    Disciples
Children who are either born or recruited into the Order at a young age, though most don't become official disciples until they're thirteen. It's rare for a disciple to come to the Order at an older age.
  • Enchantments
Warriors arm themself with enchanted armor and weapons to aid in their fight against demons. Only the Grand Sorceress can enchant armor and weapons, though most disciples and members inherit their enchanted armor from a parent or is loaned to them by the Order and is fitted to them through magical means. Custome made armor is only given to members who have achieved great feats and are recognised in the eyes of the Order, or can be bought for a high price with the condition you're already a member of the Order.
    Ethersickness by @Skyswimsky
Ethersickness, sometimes also referred to as Mana Disease, is a rather uncommon condition of the body and soul thanks to a huge reservoir of mana and/or the lack of proper flow regulation. Common early symptoms are any combination of lethargy, headaches, delusions, dizziness, insomnia and a weakened immune system.

Furthermore, victims also develop a sort of sixth-sense for the arcane as well as being more prone to it. Currently, there is no widely known cure for Ethersickness - though it is possible to suppress the symptoms to a certain degree while slowing the progression down to attain a relatively comfortable living condition in comparison to before.

As the sickness progresses, the body stops working properly. Senses, muscles, organs, nerves etc. either cease to function or get severely impaired. Physical changes are not unheard of either. Though very rare there have been sightings of physical mutations which seem to improve the overall situation - but also rob them partially of their remaining sanity.

While usually born with it, it is also possible to catch Ethersickness through huge exposure of arcane energies.
    Grand Sorceress
The female power that leads the Order. She doesn't seem to have the same restrictions as other sorceresses and some claim she is the descendant of the Goddess Mariun herself.
    Grand Warrior
The male power that leads the Order. He is believed to own the strongest armor and best blade of the entire kingdom, or the entire nine kingdoms depending on who you ask. Some claim he wears the armor of Raoul and wield his godly blade.
  • Initiates
Technically members of the Order and an informal title, initiates are members who are newly initiated into the Order after seeing their eighteenth winter and are seen as such by the eyes of the other members for an unseen amount of time. Normally initiates have to complete a small number of missions before they're seen as members. Inituations happen at least once a year, or when a disciple sees their eighteenth winter. See Members.
  • Masters
Often retired warriors or sorceresses who now spend their days teaching the new generation. To become a master, a member must first serve the Order for twenty winters, complete one-hundred missions, and best five current masters of the Order.
    Magic Awareness
Children often show awareness of their magical abilities at a young age, anywhere between the time they were born and as old as their tenth winter. It's not unheard of for a child to show magical awareness at a later age, but not common.
    Members
Disciples who have been initiated into the Order after seeing their eighteenth winter and are able to complete missions in the name of the Order. Most have spent all of their lives in the Order and know nothing else.
  • Recruiters
Members tasked with locating and retrieving children showing signs of magical ability. Though the choice to comply with the Order's wishes will always rest with the family of the child.
    Sorceresses
Magic users for the Order. To activate the full potential of their magic they must first be in contact with their Destine Object, and undergo a magical transformation. They are most commonly female but it's not unheard of for them to be male. The male equivalent of a Sorceress is a Sorcerer.
  • Warriors
The swords and shields of the Order. They fight alongside their sorceresses using enchantment to best demons. They are most commonly male but have been known to be female as well.

  • Adam's Steed by @Beowulf
    [SPOILI]
Named after the famed explorer, Adam Nemits, the Adam's Steed is not the average horse and should not be treated as one. Slightly smaller then the average draft horse, the distinguishing feature of the Adam's Steed is it's deep blue hide, a set of antlers sprouting from it's head, and two tusks from it's jaw. Running in herds of 10, sometimes more sometimes less, the Adam's Steed is extremely protective of it's own kind and will charge any that appear to be a threat. Found in the cold tundra and arctic deserts (they exist), the Adam's Steed is one of the few grazing creatures of the area.

    Skills & Abilities
-The Adam's Steed is, as one could guess, extremely resistant to the cold.
-The high stamina of an Adam's Steed can let it run for hours on end, even with the rare rider on it's back.
    Weaknesses
-It won't bother you if you don't bother it
-It does not fair well in the heat. If someone does somehow get it as a mount, then it will need to stop more often and drink much more water in warmer climates, escalating with the temperature. Deserts being the worst.
-If for some reason you feel like fighting these creatures, a weapon with a fire enchantment and fire based spells will produce the best results.

    Beastmen by @Beowulf
    [SPOILI]
Beastmen is the net term for any animal, human hybrid. In reality there are many separate species, as many as there are races for humans if not more, and females exist, though they are rare and fiercely protected. Beastmen coalesce into tribes, with the various species working together towards a common goal. Their leader is often times either the strongest or the most cunning, being able to smash any competition or skillfully convincing them to work for him. The few Beastlords, the title given to the leaders of the tribes by man and the ones they gladly accept, that manage to combine both strength and cunning have always earned their places in history. The greatest and most feared of these Beastlords has been recorded simply as Doombull, for his name in the beastmen tongue is impossible for mankind to pronounce (though it has been tried). He alone united many tribes and marched on the grand Tower of Uyand. He and his warherd laid siege for several months, sucking the land dry and feasting on those killed in battle. Doombull would have won had help not arrived in the form of an army sent by the Order. Even then the following battle was a close and hard fought one, finally ending when Doombull himself was killed, quivers of arrows and dozens of weapons stuck in his thick hide and knotted hair, and his warherd shattered.

Though savage, the cunning of Beastmen is not to be underestimated. A single tribe can easily take on a force twice it's size thanks to their strength and cunning. There are, however, a case of a 'civilized' Beastmen tribe who are willing to interact with the outside races through means other then war. The leader of the 'civilized' Trokin tribe, a shaman named Mordoon, is trying his best to strengthen relations. Why he has suddenly decided to do this is as of yet unknown.

    Strengths, Abilities, & Other Information.
-Most men come up to the bottom of an average male beastman. Female beastmen, however, are as tall as a human if not smaller.
-Female beastmen are much more caring then their male counter parts, and rather shy. It should be considered an honor if a female beastman introduces herself to you.
-The horns of a beastman often denote social rank. The larger and more impressive the horns, the higher the standing. However, this does not always mean that a chief has large, impressive horns, though most chiefs do have horns that would fit that criteria.
-Beastmen are strong and durable, even without weapons or armor.
-Not the dumbest things, and are able to reason out strategies.
-They eat the dead, both theirs and others. This is seen as a sign of respect, for you are becoming a part of something stronger then what you were.

    Weaknesses
    -
If you manage to catch the eye of a female, or even befriend one, then the tribe the female belongs to will begrudgingly not kill you if only to please the female.
-Their tactics are often simple. If you do not over estimate them, then you will survive.
-Most men cannot match their strength, but many people can outmatch them when it comes to dexterity. Dodge and turn aside their strikes.
-They often times use heavy weapons. They cause major damage when they manage to land a strike, but are slow and cumbersome. And if they were to miss...

    Calacian Saber Tooths by @Beowulf
    [SPOILI]
Massive predatory cats, the Calacian Saber Tooth can easily take down a horse, though they aren't it's main source of food. Large enough to ride, the Calacian Saber Tooth, Calacian Saber for short, lives in the expansive and relatively flat plains of Calacian. Blending into the tall golden grass, the Calacian Saber is much quieter then one would expect from an almost horse sized predator and can easily slink through the grass and right into a camp for a quick meal if the guards are not careful and aware. Though powerful, the Calacian Saber is a rather reclusive creature most likely to avoid the wrath of the humans that burn it's home in order to plant fields of crops.

Calacian villages that stick to their traditional ways see the Calacian Saber as an embodiment of leadership, power, and courage. To wear even a small part of this creature is enough for you to be respected by villages that still believe in this. Legends say that the king that united the Calacian tribes had a crown made of the massive teeth of the Calacian Saber.

    Knowledge
-The two long and curved teeth of a Calacian Saber are highly sought after for their supposed remedial qualities. However, they can also be forged into rather strong weapons.
-The Calacian Saber relies on stealth more then brute force, but it can easily rip a man in two.
-The Calacian Saber is fearful of fire. Use this to your advantage to either ward it off or drive it into an advantageous position.

    Deseran by @Beowulf
    [SPOILI]
Deseran live in the country renowned for it's volcanic activity, Ashua. Standing 10m tall, shorter then even a Scourge, Deserans have a flat, hammer like horn sitting on their snout. What this horn is used for is not known, but it is still sought after as a crafting material. Rust red and light brown, compared to the darker colors of it's surroundings the Deseran sticks out rather painfully, however it's size and strength persuades most would be predators to go away. Deserans do not actively hunt, but they are to large to rely solely on grazing on the sparce vegetation of Ashua. They are opportunistic hunters and omnivorous, eating whatever they can when they can. They have been known to drink from the sulfuric pools with no obvious harm to themselves. This may be due to a different digestive system compared to many other living creatures.

    Knowledge
-To avoid fighting one, look intimidating. If there is even a chance that it has to put a lot of effort into a hunt, a Deseran will look elsewhere, unless it is starving.
-Imprints have been found in stone of much larger Deserans, making this species one of the oldest in the known world.
-Reports have come in of seeing a Deseran walking out of a lava pit with no ill effects. Further study is required to confirm or deny these claims.
    [/SPOILI]

  • Jellta
The jellta live on the plains of Calcia, and are a rather interesting species. Eating insects instead of the plentiful grace and with quills to make a porcupine jealous, what makes this creature so unique is how it chooses to defend itself. When it senses danger, it flattens itself out as much as possible and it's quills suddenly look like the tall grass. However if a predator does find it, then it will have to get around the quills to get at the rubbery hide of the jellta.

Jellta do lay eggs and are kept as farm animals by many Calcian people. When the jellta has become to old to lay eggs or is overly aggressive, the easiest way to catch it is to leave out a combination of yeast and water. When the jellta goes to take a drink, the yeast enters it's system and throughout the night produces gas that in turn bloats the jellta. Seeing a bloated jellta is extremely comical, their elastic skin stretching and giving them a distinctive round shape.

    Knowledge
-Farm jellta are often the size of goats, but are a distinctively darker shade of brown then a wild jellta.
-Jellta quills are serrated, don't pull them out and instead push them the rest of the way through.
-Extremely elastic, the skin has a wide variety of uses once cleaned and cured.
-Like most creatures of the plains, it is extremely wary of fire.
  • Moon Pleemal
Also called the skeleton tree or bittersweet death. The Moon Pleemal is a rare tree named after the sorcerer, Zachary Pleemal, who discovered it's energy restoring properties. The tree is gnarled with a thick dark bark but with a thin trunk and branches. It stands no taller than a cherry tree. The dark blue petals that sprout from it emit a smell not unlike that of death presumably to ward away predators, but on the night of a full moon it bares small, bittersweet fruit that can restore a person's energy; however, superstitions say eating from the Moon Pleemal only brings death. One such tree was gifted to the royal family of Haven by Pleemal upon his discovery, but the royal family instead took offense and ordered the Sorcerer's arrest. It was the Grand Sorceress of the time, Late Grand Sorceress Fran, who looked into his findings and freed the man of all charges. To show his thanks, Pleemal gifted the tree to the Order where it now grows in a secluded garden.

    Properties & Uses
    - Restores the energy of a person magical or otherwise, so it works on both sorcer(ers)esses and warriors.
    - Can be eaten raw or dried but cooking it greatly reduces it's effects.
    - It can be used in potions but has to specially prepared to work.
    Petal Snapper by @Beowulf
A small lizard like creature that lives in any area that has flowering plants. Most are colored to match the flora in the area of their birth, though some tropic species are brightly colored and put on a magnificent display. The Petal Snapper gets it's name for the frill that runs around the entirety of it's head, making it look much like a flower when faced head on. Primarily eating small animals that mistake it for a flower, the species as a whole has built up a tolerance to all known biological poisons and venoms. In fact, they store these toxins in it's body. When a potential predator eats one and gets violently sick, it will look somewhere else for a meal the next time it sees a Petal Snapper.

    Knowledge
    - The bite from a Petal Snapper is slightly venomous, causing inflation and numbness around the area of the bite. However, tribes in the deep jungles have collected a vast quantity of tropical Petal Snapper venom and concentrated it. This concentrated venom is dramatically worse then the regular bite, causing the whole limb to swell and undergo necrosis, where tissue rots and falls off, as well as completely paralyze the victim.
-Gardeners have taken a liking to them, especially the tropical ones. For they add a splash of color to their garden and get rid of pesky insects.

  • Scourge by @Beowulf
Averaging a height of 12 meters, Scourge have little to no fat on their body due to their high metabolism. Instead the majority of their body weight comes from densely packed muscles. With several rows of teeth inside it's mouth, it's lower jaw has several protrusions that have been theorized to be older teeth pushed out by newer teeth growing in. It's powerful hind legs give it a rocking gate, but those same legs have the power to crush boulders and shake the earth. A massive tail extends out from behind it, acting as a counter balance to the rather heavy front half and a brutal bludgeoning weapon when swung. When enraged, often times caused by those that wish to kill it, several muscle groups along it's back and tail inflame, swelling up and giving off a pale red hue. This is theorized to be a display of dominance to other Scourge, though this has yet to be seen.

    Note
Do not attempt to fight this creature alone. If you and/or your partner encounters one in the wild, seek immediate help from one other pairing. If one is successfully slain, please inform the Order as soon as possible so it's corpse may be retrieved and studied further.

    Known Skills & Abilities
-Scourges have rather keen senses, which help them on their never ending search for food. Sneaking up on one is near impossible.
-When enraged, an acidic ichor drips from it's mouth and any wounds it has received. This is thought to be a fast acting antibiotic to clean the wound as well as assist in the digestion. This ichor can etch steel. Combat while Scourge is enraged is ill advised.
-It's densely packed muscles gives it more strength then what it would appear at first glance.
-Protrusions on it's jaw are razor sharp and shred unprotected flesh easily.

    Weaknesses
-It loses most of it situational awareness when fighting, making it possible to use the terrain to your advantage.
-Though large, it is far from nimble. One can run circles around it and in between it's legs if needed.
-It's hunger over rides most other functions. Thrown meat, tainted by a paralyzing agent, poison, or not at all, will distract it for a time being.
-Incredibly territorial. Perhaps the only thing that will stop one Scourge from chasing you, aside from a very tempting meal, would be another.
    Terrorling
A demon that normally runs in packs of 8-16. They're small creatures that stand as high as the average man's knee with round bodies that taper off into a tail thick with muscle and supported on two strong legs each with three toes equipped with sharp claws. They're faster than their builds would otherwise suggest and excellent jumpers, which makes up for their short arms. What really makes a Terrorling dangerous, however, are their two rows of sharp teeth that are more than capable of ripping through armor and crushing bone.

    Known Skills & Abilities:
    - They will first surround their enemy then lunge at then from behind. They will then latch on to their target with their sharp teeth and claw with their hind legs.
    - They can use their tails to deal physical damage. Hard enough to leave a nasty mark and dent metal.
    - They have a keen sense of smell
    - Fast and good at dodging.
    - They squawk to alert nearby Terrorlings or to call a retreat.

    Known Weaknesses:
    - They have no natural armor to speak of.
    - They have no known natural resistances.
    - While they may have a pack mentality they aren't extremely intelligent but can show some cleverness where it counts.
  • Ulladin by @Beowulf
Ulladins flock to the oasis of deserts of Shaona, providing a cacophony of noise as well as a rainbow display of feathers. Ulladin males in particular are especially vibrant, in comparison the female's impressive plumage is considered dull. Considered tall when they are just three feet tall, their wingspan can easily double their height and have tail feathers as long as they are tall. With these coupled together, the males throw their wings over their heads and lift their tails up to fill in any gaps to show off their mirage of colors in an attempt to impress females. This display marks the beginning of festivals dedicated to the goddess Muriun and the sun, the local legend saying that is what the males are doing instead of trying to woo a quick hook up.

The feathers of Ulladin are sought after as charms to ward off evil and are also used in fans, their size and color making it an attractive way to remain cool during the desert day. Down from Ulladin are used to stuff pillows, blankets, and the occasional article of clothing. These resulting Ulladin down products are considered luxury items due to their extreme softness.
    Knowledge
-Ulladin beaks are slightly serrated in order to keep wriggling fish from escaping. This also means that they do hurt when they bite.
-Alone, Ulladin don't pose much of a problem. But occasional cullings are required to keep their numbers manageable so as not to over tax the oasis.
-Male Ulladin are a common sight in noble houses, particularly near the entrance.
  • Yoon by @Beowulf
Yoon are on average two to three meters tall, yet astonishingly long at an average of 12 meters, though most living Yoon are longer. With a pale, silvery, almost white, scaled hide, they have luxurious colored fur, the color of which is different for each Yoon, mostly on the underside of their tail, though other parts of the Yoon's body has fur on it. Just not to the same extent or the same quality as that of it's tail. Yoon generally live around springs, hot or otherwise depending on the Yoon's preference, high in the mountain, they are somewhat rare creatures for the simple reason of people not wanting to go through to effort of reaching those altitudes and finding an inhabited hot spring. Because heaven forbid it's just a regular spring that the Yoon be around when you find one. These springs also provide it with food and water, the water attracting prey and algae being a substitute when necessary.

Extremely docile, the few that have descended from their mountain home and taken up residence of another pool quickly have had entire towns constructed around them. Often revered as divine beings by the locals, these Yoon are groomed by chosen individuals, often the most pleasing to look at, in order to encourage it to stay. Though anyone can see, touch, and even bath with the Yoon, the chosen people wait hand and foot on it, cleaning it's already spotless hide to a remarkable shine and keeping knots and tangles out of it's fine hair and feeding it when it appears hungry.

Yoon are deceptively smart, an intelligence like no other shining in it's eyes. It cannot speak, but if it could who knows what they would say to us?

    Knowledge
-Yoon scales and hair are seen as holy items by some. But even for those that do not see them as holy, they are still worth quite a bit. Yoon scales and hair can be used to make armor of amazing resilience, but the scales are hard to work with and the amount of hair required will leave your wallet empty. The most anyone makes from Yoon hair is clothing, and only the extremely wealthy can afford even one.
-Yoon can, at will, cover themselves in a soapy coating. This serves to not only clean themselves, but act as a protective measure, allowing the Yoon to quite literally slip away.
-Yoon have been known to give advice in their own way. It is wise to be aware of what the Yoon is doing when encountered.
-The oldest known Yoon is named Mizutsune, and is found in the rather expansive city which is also named Mizutsune. Mizutsune is the largest known Yoon, being five meters tall and nearly 35 meters long, the shrine/bath house around it's hot spring is by far the largest building in the city, mostly to accommodate it's size and any future growth. Mizutsune has a sparkling amber colored hair, and scales a distinctive silver compared to the almost white of most other Yoon.

It will be determine ahead of time how difficult a fight would be by using a dice that has a low level of variance, such as a d6. The dice will then decide the number of times that each side has to win in order to win the confrontation.

After that, the fight will be rolled up as 'clashes' to see who wins first.

Thus, as an example...
Warrior Bro needs to win two clashes against a Common Bandit, who needs to win five clashes.
First Clash: Warrior wins.
Second Clash: Common Bandit wins.
Third to Fifth Clash: Common Bandit wins.
Sixth Clash: Warrior wins.

This then, would ICly translate into a fight where the Common Bandit puts up much more resistance than normal, but is still ultimately vanquished.

While something like...
First to Second Clash: Warrior wins.
Would translate into the warrior elegantly defeating the bandit in an eloquent display of skill.

Special skills or whatever can be used in da Clashes.

And finally, PvP fights can just be determined via collabing and an agreement of who gets to win from the start.

- All Iwaku rules apply. Even more so since I'm one of the people who has to upkeep them.

- No Godmodding, Powerplaying, or Metagaming. I expect my players to know what these mean and how not to do them.

- Please, no Mary Sues or Gary Stues. We aren't here to be perfect and powerful and anime badasses who can take on an entire army, we are here to tell a story and work through problems and climb obstacles and feel threatened by aforementioned army and overcome our short comings through out the game.

- With that said, be apart if the solution, not the solution. There will be times your characters' individual unique abilities will come in handy, but there will also be times your characters' unique abilities will only be useful when combined.

- Only one character per player. Unless you've proven you can handle your one character and we need a spot filled. Otherwise focus on building up your character's role in the game.

- Speaking of characters, please play attention to how many of one gender we have. If we already have several of one gender please do not make another character of that gender. The character limit is eight so if there's five girls and two guys, please make a guy. I won't make genders even but I don't plan on this being a harem roleplay or an all of one gender roleplay.

- While genders won't be even I do expect roles to be. There will be a max of four warriors and four sorcer(ers)esses.

- Character diversity is always a plus! Before creating a character take a look at the other characters. Too many shy people, loners, angry people, social butters can throw off the balance of the social dynamic.

- You have three tries to edit your sheet if I ask you to. If your sheet still isn't acceptable by the third try I'll deny you.

- Please don't try to get around the previous rule by pming me your sheet and ask me to look over it while you're working on it. I'll just point you back to the OOC thread.

- You can format your sheet however you like, but please also include a plain text version. This does not mean post raw code, this means post the information without the code (this mainly applies to people using div codes, most aren't exactly mobile friendly).

- If an image is over 500 on either dimension link it instead. Have more than one image? Link them instead. Thank you.

- Please remove all parentheses and non-applicable parameters from the sheet, thank you.

- Ask questions if you don't understand something. I won't eat you or anything, I swear!

- I'm always forgetting something so if I need to add a rule I reserve the right to, especially if you include something in your sheet that calls for a rule against it.

When making a reservation...
- DO NOT post "reserved" or any variant. I will soft delete it with out warning and point you back to the rules.

- If you want to make a reservation, post a WIP with name, gender, role, and basic personality out line (example: +happy, quirky, loving -naive, gallable, sensitive).

- DO NOT post an empty sheet and call it a WIP. I'll soft delete it without warning and point you back to the rules.

- DO NOT delete your WIP and repost it when you're done. Just ping me or quote it to tell me you're finish. Deleting you're sheet just to repost it defeats the purpose of a reservation.

- After posting your WIP you have a week to finish it. If you need more time, I'll give you another week. If you still need more time I'll issue a formal apology and open your spot. But if you complete your sheet before someone can claim your spot, post it up!

The Special Snowflakes Clause...
- Special Snowflakes Clauses don't stack, meaning one per character, per player. This is to help keep things diverse.

- The Warrior Sorceress Clause: A warrior can use magic but he won't have as well as a grasp on it as his sorceress counterpart and he won't have a Destined Object either. He'll have to use a dummy object leant to him by the Order.

- The Warrior Sorceress Clause II: A sorceress can use an enchanted weapon outside of the typical scepters, staffs, wands, magic balls, ext. but she won't be as effective with it as her warrior counterpart.

- The Orphan Clause: There's going to be that one player who wants no parents for their character so one orphan is acceptable.

- The Bad Past Clause: I know life in the Order isn't going to be all sunshines and rainbows, but they're not straight up assholes. Being bullied by your peers for being something outside of the gender norms? Acceptable (and can apply to anyone doing this but just not all of them, okay?). Growing up in an abusive environment? Please no.

- The Late Protagonist: This roleplay is going to be centered around people who practically grew up with one another. With that said, if you want to have your character join the Order when they're older than fifteen and be the odd one out, which is quite rare as children are usually recruited at a younger age (10-13 usually), give me a good reason.

- The Unique Appearance Clause: You can have a unique appearance for your sorceresses transformation, but say you want natural purple eyes, or green hair? Try not to go too wild with this though.

Hex Code: (If you use colored speech, the code you use would go here; switch to raw code if you don't know the hex code by heart. Also check and see if the color is viewable on all back grounds. There's only four or five and switching between them is as easy as clicking the name of it at the bottom of the screen).
Name:
Gender:
Age: 18 [You're initiated into the Order at eighteen, but if you want to be older, provide a good reason like being unable to complete a course or came into the Order late.]
Personality: (list and describe three positive traits and three negative traits).
Role:

(If Sorcer(er)ess - remove if this does apply to you)
Destined Object: (how your object looks to you. This can be anything as long as it's inanimate).
Trinket?: (how it appears to other people. Remember, not even other sorceresses know what your DO looks like other than the Grand Sorceress)
Magic Source: (Elemental? If so which element? Anything else you can think of? You only have one magic source).
Transformation Appearance: (picture, link to picture, or description)
Everyday Appearance: : (picture, link to picture, or description)
Spells: (you can start off with five max but don't make them super powerful. Imagine each spell has it's one mini skill tree. Start from the bottom and work your way up).

(Rating one out of ten how well you can preform in these areas out of ten. Try to keep them balance. More power means less control etc. Your total should not be more than 35 and no more than should be completely filled out. If you're a warrior with magic, however, only 25.)

■■■■■■■■■■ Speed (how fast you can cast)

(If Warrior - remove if this does apply to you)
Weapon: (The thing you attack with, include enchantments. Enchantments include anything that you've seen in fantasy games but don't make them ridiculously strong or resilient. Right now one enchantment per equipment.)
Sheild?: (not applicable is welding a two-handed weapon)
Armor Appearance: (picture, link to picture, or description - no individual enchantments to individual pieces of armor)
Everyday Appearance: : (picture, link to picture, or description)
Attacks: (you can start off with five max but don't make them super powerful. Imagine each skill has it's one mini skill tree. Start from the bottom and work your way up).

(Rating one out of ten how well you can preform in these areas out of ten. Try to keep them balance. More power means less control etc. Your total should not be more than 35 and no more than should be completely filled out. If you're a sorceress with a weapon only 25.)

Biography:
• This should be listed put in bullet points with each having a short describtion.
• Like a timeline.
• Minimum of at least five and a maximum of fifteen. Thank you!

Relationships: (Your characters practically grew up together so chances are they know each other in someway. You don't have to have this filled out to be accepted, but I would like everyone to start plotting basic dynamics.)

Initiation Ceremony
(This shouldn't be any longer than 500 words. Ideally less since I have from anywhere between three to seven others to look over. You can reword this however you like, but the main concept should be the same, how you were called up one by one to collect your Destined Object or you weapons and armor.)

Life in the Order of the Destined started as early as the sunrise, with disciples and members alike being awoken by the sound of pots being beaten with wooden spoons by the help who had to get up even earlier. Unlike most days however, this particular morning was filled with a sense of anticipation, nervous excitement, and even a bit of dread for what was to come. What if they did decided to delay the Initiation Ceremony? But even with the question resting on every other initiates minds, everyone still dresses for the day and meanders on towards breakfast. It wouldn't be until afterwards when they would stand in the main hall, with masters and staff lining the edges on the room as Grand Sorceress Elenor and the Grand Warrior Cider looked over the crowd of gathering disciples. The eight to be initiated standing in the front towards the slightly raised stage and their peers standing in neat rows behind them. Some of them barely keeping themselves from fidgeting.

Finally, Grand Sorceress Elenor and Grand Warrior Cide both smile and raise their hands as four Destined Objects, shrouded so no young Sorceress could them apart, and four sets of armor on stands appear in a neat line. "When we call your name please step forward and claim what is rightfully yours," Grand Sorceress Elenor chimed.

"Step forward," Grand Warrior Cider bellowed, "And claim your armor and state your desired weapon."

Role
Sorceress

Personality
+Creative: Payton is a creative and a free thinker when it comes to art and painting, often using bright colors and unusual shading to make her work stand out. Outside of art, she applies her creativity to her magic, though not always with successful results.
+Playful: Once you get to know her, she can be a bit playful; often indulging in banter and little pranks. She particularly uses her static spell for such purposes, which is unfortunate particularly for her roommate. As much as she enjoys teasing, however, she knows how to pick her timing and isn't the kind of person who can't take anything seriously.
+Determined: Once Payton puts her mind to something, she'll go to great lengths to see it through, from figuring out the kinks to a spell to getting her way in a project. She approaches things with an almost single minded focus that could sometimes do more harm than good. In the end, she views herself a reliable person and one that her peers to count on when they need something done

-Cautious: As determined as she can be, it isn't often Payton throws caution to the wind, always looking before jumping. While most considers this the quality of someone grounded, it can lead her to hesitate before making that one crucial decision in a battle or not taking an opportunity because of double guessing herself.
-Cynical: For no particular reason Payton can't find it within herself to trust others, especially those she just met and of the male variety. She always questions a person's motivation and personal interests, picking apart their actions with a certain level of scrutiny. It takes some warming up on her end to convince her of no ill intent.
-Workaholic: She tends to drown herself in her work if allowed. She's not stranger to all-nighters and have been known to do group projects all by herself just to ensure it gets down right. When there is nothing for her to do, she gets restless and searches out something to do. Even if it's needlessly cleaning her shared living quarters.

Destined Object
Ornate Belt: She wears it slung loosely across her hips with a string of glass beads extending from the buckle and connecting again in the back.
Trinket?
Leather Belt: A plain leather belt worn loosely around her hips.
Magic Source
Blue Lightning
Transformation Appearance
A blue and gold chest plate that is as tough as steel but as light and flexible as cloth she wears in the style of a halter top, matching shoulder guards extend from it and curve elegantly at the tips. Blue arm warmers encase her arms starting from just below her shoulders and clasp around her thumbs and a set of blue and gold bracers are bound to her wrists. An armored belt extends around her waist and over the pleated skirt she wears over a pair of tights. Over the belt her Destined Object is worn. Blue and gold boots completes the set. When she transforms, strange symbols appear on her skin.
Everyday Appearance
Pacen's features blend together in a monochrome of pales and fairs all accept for her shockingly blue eyes. Standing 5'7", she is a tall and elegant figure, albeit one that is quite angular and boney, who is never seen without a cloak unless she has transformed and always will she be wearing a tunic dress under it. Of course her Destined Object will always accompany her around her slender hips. She wears her blonde hair long despite her preferring it short, but is reluctant to cut it for fear of what her mother may say. Instead, she wears it in random braids more out of convenience than style. It's bad enough her lack of curves makes her feel less feminine than the rest of her peers.
Spells
Static Shock: As long as the target can carry a static charge she can apply this ability to it and upon being touch, administers a small charge. A harmless spell that is used more for pranks than for combat.
Fast Forward: Payton covers her body with lightning that increases her physical speed for a short amount of time.
At Standstill: This spells admits a voltage that can paralyze lesser monsters for a limited amount of time.
Lightning Bolt: Payton discharges a single bolt of lightning that can hit a single target for damage. May take a moment to charge depending on how far the target is and how powerful she intends it to be.
Energy Ball: Payton concentrates her lightning into a single ball that she can fire at a single target but can be used in quick recession; however, doing so reduces the damage caused and can lead to tiring herself out more quickly.

Biography:
Payton was born out of wedlock between a young Sorceress and a rich merchant.
Because a bastard child would bring shame to the merchant's family the merchant quickly denied the child as his and turned his back on them.
Feeling hurt and betrayed, Payton's mother raised her on stories of just how cruel and heartless the world can be.
She even gave Payton her father's family name just to spite him.
This ultimately nurtured a more cynical view on the world in the girl.
Payton's mother works for the Order as a respectable recruiter and as Payton grew older, the less she saw of her.
While friendly enough, Payton has kept her emotional distance from her peers and definitely doesn't hold much trust for men after hearing such stories of what her mother had described as nothing short of abandonment from the woman.
The fact most people recognise her surname and try to gain personal favors through friendly gestures, thinking she has some claim to her father's fortune, didn't help her views very much.

"When we call your name please step forward and claim what is rightfully yours," The Grand Sorceress chimed. "Payton Macator." The young sorceress in question stiffened before relaxing into a graceful stride. On the inside, though, she was worried. She knew a shroud would prevent her from seeing her Object from afar, but what if the Grand Sorceress made a mistake and hers wasn't there? What if all she continued to see was junk? What if...

Her eyes landed on a belt made entirely of interlocking plates of intricately engraved gold metal with a string of blue and orange glass beads extending from the hollow buckle and connecting again in the back. She never knew love at first sight, didn't believe in it, but the moment that belt was in her hands she was sure the feeling was pretty damn close to it. She clasped it around her narrow hips and and bowed her thanks to the Grand Sorceress, retreating back into the line of the other awaiting Destined.

She is a very typical teenage female though her heart is in the right place.
Role: Sorceress

Destined Object: Dranas object is a simple broach. It clasps across her bosom, holding a cloak or simply hanging from her clothing. To her its metal glows white and has a simple ruby in the center that seems to glow from within. To others it appears a simple wooden pin with a metal clasp on the back...

Magic Source: Dranas magic is an innate family inheritance. Fire is easy for her, as is earth.

Initiation Ceremony

Drana woke with a start as she realized today was the day... "This is it!" she exclaimed to herself as she rolled out of bed, her nightgown hindering her steps as she flitted to her wardrobe to put on her clothes...

She attended breakfast and listened to the gossip as it floated around much like the smell of smoke and cooked food that wafted so heavily through the thick warm air. One girl exclaimed in obvious distress to her indifferent friend..."What if they did decide to delay the Initiation Ceremony? What if at the LAST MINUTE, they decide not to initiate ANYONE?"

Breakfast passed and despite the fears of the students, everyone was assembled...

Grand Sorceress Elenor and the Grand Warrior Cider looked over the crowd of gathered disciples. The eight to be initiated standing in the front towards the slightly raised stage and their peers standing in neat rows behind them. Some of them barely keept themselves from fidgeting.

Grand Sorceress Elenor and Grand Warrior Cide both smiled and raise their hands as four Destined Objects, (shrouded so no young Sorceress could them apart) and four sets of armor on stands appeared in a neat line beside them.

  • 10-11. First year of school, Gareth became more introverted and didn't talk as much as he used to. The first time he was introduced to several other children that would be his friends growing up. Average student when it comes to being a Warrior.
  • 12-16. The honing of his skills and specializing his fighting style. Hit hard, and get hit without flinching.
  • 17-18. Finalization of his fighting style. Began training with a real odachi instead of the practice swords that were given to younger students. His determination and stubbornness began to shine through as he continued to train relentlessly and his insistence on continuing a duel until he could barely move.

Relationships:
Aurora:
Gareth was one of her 'subjects', but often times didn't do what she wanted him to. Normally he'd dig in his heels and refuse just as loudly as she'd order. But the few times he did agree to doing something, the few and far between, he couldn't be talked out of it. Unless you were an adult, then he'd be very easily persuaded to stop.

Initiation Ceremony
Gareth stood in line, back straight, hands held behind him, and his feet confidently spread apart. He was a Warrior now, or he was going to be soon. That is what it meant to be standing in the front like this, it meant that he had graduated and was now to be initiated officially into the Order.

When his name was called, he stepped forward to a set of armor that ever so slightly resembled a bird, an odachi resting in a scabbard next to it. Reaching forward, Gareth grabbed the helmet of the set of armor, and placed it on his head, claiming it as his own. He then grabbed the odachi, scabbard and all, and held it next him, also claiming it as his own.

1) You're stats equal thirty-six when they're supposed to equal thirty.
2) Yes you're supposed to have a transformation.
3) I stated in parentheses you can only have one magical source. Please pick just one element.
4) Magical awareness?
5) There is absolutely no way you can become proficient at earth spells by age ten. You're not even practicing magic by age ten, you're still just learning about it.

Ahh, got it! I can fix anything you mention, but most of it was either unclear, or simply missing from the introduction.

I saw that your initial post said this, "Your total should not be more than 35" so I must have miscounted...

I can certainly include a transformation. I was wondering about armor or the lack thereof for magic users since not having armor during combat would seem rather silly... Does it affect the use of magic or are Sorceresses free to wear armor as well?

"(Elemental? If so which element? Anything else you can think of? You only have one magic source)."

I misunderstood what you meant because your first word was "elemental?" with a question mark I assumed there could be more than one source as well as more than one application... Like a gem that you can store power in over time, or ley lines, or innate magical power, or a power draw from life around you. Of course the magical source should be limited to one, but is the method in which you apply it only limited to one as well? IE: One power source AND one element

There wasn't much explanation on this, but when do children become aware that they can use magic? At what age? It most certainly isn't available to everyone because then there would be just as many male Sorcerers. So, I guessed that the awareness of ones magical talents would manifest around the age of ten... If that is incorrect please let me know.

Once again, age and magical ability was not really touched on very much in your introduction. The closest you got was in these few sentences...

"with new children, whether born or recruited, coming in on a semi-regular basis, and masters that help guide these children into initiates"

"The younger disciples, children who are still learning about the world, often live in nursery houses off the grounds ... then they can stay with them until the age of thirteen."

If you could mention or further define the ages a child becomes aware and begins training their magical talents, that would be awesome! I think it will help others further define their timeline biography.

Biography:
  • 1-5. Normal childhood, he knew about Warriors and Sorceresses, but he had no intention of being one at that age.
  • 6-9. Father, who was a Warrior himself, began teaching Gareth the basics of fighting so he wouldn't embarrass himself in school. More for the parent's sake then the child's.
  • 10-11. First year of school, Gareth became more introverted and didn't talk as much as he used to. The first time he was introduced to several other children that would be his friends growing up. Average student when it comes to being a Warrior.
  • 12-16. The honing of his skills and specializing his fighting style. Hit quick, hit hard, and don't let them hit back. Began to excel in one on one duels. Was average when fighting multiple opponents.
  • 17-18. Finalization of his fighting style. Began training with a real odachi instead of the practice swords that were given to younger students. His determination and stubbornness began to shine through as he continued to train relentlessly and his insistence on continuing a duel until he could barely move.

Relationships: TBD

I saw that your initial post said this, "Your total should not be more than 35" so I must have miscounted...

Yeah totally forgot I added an extra attribute to both the Sorceress and the warrior which brought the original count from 30 to 35 x.x My bad.

I can certainly include a transformation. I was wondering about armor or the lack thereof for magic users since not having armor during combat would seem rather silly... Does it affect the use of magic or are Sorceresses free to wear armor as well?

Yes you can have armor :)

I have no idea how to make this any more clearer (sorry, I'm terrible at wording things Dx). An element is a power source. I just didn't want to to restrict someone to just an element. Telekinesis could also be a power source too. A power source is literally what your magic is and can only have one.

I was just asking what you meant o.o I'll have to up my introduction tomorrow. Right now I'm tired and the introduction was kind of rushed due to stress and anxiety. Sorry about that.

Okay! Fixing as of RN... I totally understand, I guess I thought you were giving a little lee-way on certain things since you didn't describe them, but I guess it was just a rushed oversight!

I'll fix the mentioned attributes and I'll let you review it when you're rested! =]

Okay thanks ^.^ And I honestly didn't know how to word the power source thing (I didn't realize how much of a jerk I must of sounded when I mention I literally didn't know to make it any more clear x.x).
