CHARACTER SKELETON

NAME: Dominic Kross
RANK: Private
SPECIALITY: Close-Quarters/Breach Specialist

APPEARANCE:

rsz_wa10.jpg

PERSONALITY: ESTJ Personality

ESTJ STRENGTHS
  • Dedicated - Seeing things to completion borders on an ethical obligation for ESTJs. Tasks aren't simply abandoned because they've become difficult or boring - people with the ESTJ personality type take them up when they are the right thing to do, and they will be finished so long as they remain the right thing to do.
  • Strong-willed - A strong will makes this dedication possible, and ESTJs don't give up their beliefs because of simple opposition. ESTJs defend their ideas and principles relentlessly, and must be proven clearly and conclusively wrong for their stance to budge.
  • Direct and Honest - ESTJs trust facts far more than abstract ideas or opinions. Straightforward statements and information are king, and ESTJ personalities return the honesty (whether it's wanted or not).
  • Loyal, Patient and Reliable - ESTJs work to exemplify truthfulness and reliability, considering stability and security very important. When ESTJs say they'll do something, they keep their word, making them very responsible members of their families, companies and communities.
  • Enjoy Creating Order - Chaos makes things unpredictable, and unpredictable things can't be trusted when they are needed most - with this in mind, ESTJs strive to create order and security in their environments by establishing rules, structures and clear roles.
  • Excellent Organizers - This commitment to truth and clear standards makes ESTJs capable and confident leaders. People with this personality type have no problem distributing tasks and responsibilities to others fairly and objectively, making them excellent administrators.

ESTJ WEAKNESSES
  • Inflexible and Stubborn - The problem with being so fixated on what works is that ESTJs too often dismiss what might work better. Everything is opinion until proven, and ESTJ personalities are reluctant to trust an opinion long enough for it to have that chance.
  • Uncomfortable with Unconventional Situations - ESTJs are strong adherents to tradition and when suddenly forced to try unvetted solutions, they become uncomfortable and stressed. New ideas suggest that their methods weren't good enough, and abandoning what has always worked before in favor of something that may yet fail risks their image of reliability.
  • Judgmental - ESTJs have strong convictions about what is right, wrong, and socially acceptable. ESTJs' compulsion to create order often extends to all things and everyone, ignoring the possibility that there are two right ways to get things done. ESTJs do not hesitate to let these "deviants" know what they think, considering it their duty to set things right.
  • Too Focused on Social Status - ESTJs take pride in the respect of their friends, colleagues and community and while difficult to admit, are very concerned with public opinion. ESTJs (especially Turbulent ones) can get so caught up in meeting others' expectations that they fail to address their own needs.
  • Difficult to Relax - This need for respect fosters a need to maintain their dignity, which can make it difficult to cut loose and relax for risk of looking the fool, even in good fun.
  • Difficulty Expressing Emotion - This is all evidence of ESTJs' greatest weakness: expressing emotions and feeling empathy. People with the ESTJ personality type get so caught up in the facts and most effective methods that they forget to think of what makes others happy, or of their sensitivity. A detour can be breathtakingly beautiful, a joy for the family, but ESTJs may only see the consequence of arriving at their destination an hour late, hurting their loved ones by rejecting the notion too harshly.

NOTEABLE SKILLS:

  • Further focus on CQC training, including Hand-to-Hand Combat and Urban survival/warfare. Knows his way around tighter, more restrained spaces of combat and can manage himself in point blank combat.

BACKGROUND:

Used to be a member of a USAR team. The man had trained a small part of his life doing this for the sake of his family and to do a good thing. His critical thinking and strong-willed personality to go to the bottom of things had made him a valuable asset to the regions he had to go to. Some had suggested for him to volunteer, get some training and fight for the Empire… Which wasn't a bad idea. He had gained enough over the years, for his family to do it on his own. And so, he enlisted… it wasn't exactly what he thought it was, but he wouldn't back down from it.

NOTEABLE EQUIPMENT:

  • Standard Elysian Drop Trooper except:
    • Mark IV Accatran Pattern Lasgun exchanged for Combat Shotgun
    • Lasgun Charges X5 exchanged for 40 Shells and 10 Blazer Shells
  • Choke Gas grenade X2 and Stun Grenade X2
  • Axe
  • Laspistol with 3 charges

RELATIONSHIP WITH REST OF SQUAD:
TBA

The Emperor is always there for you, even if starts to seem a little creepy that he is involved in every aspect of your life.

0.0 *Stares longingly at the roleplay*

Grumpyhumps, still up for more people?

I'll put up a char sheet tonight hopefully. I only work for four hours, hopefully the amount of white, rich privilege won't drown me.

I'll try and make something that isn't tainted by Slaanesh.

Reactions: Vay
My sheet's almost done. Gotta hammer out a backstory, and he'll be ready to go!

*Has successfully acquired my friend's Imperial Guard Codex*

I'm looking over the weapons and passages that would pertain to this RP, though I will admit that I am trying to find what would be the most useful position to the squad.

I might pester some of you for help.

I totally understand if I have to change this up, no pressure (Seriously, if anything's wrong, tell me. I'm trying, man. ) *If you do like it, I'll tool it out a bit more and go through the armaments of the sentinel and finish the sheet up a bit more.

NAME: Ollanas Deimos "D"

RANK: Private

SPECIALITY: Combat Engineer

APPEARANCE:
ib689yL.png

PERSONALITY: Cynical and somewhat quiet. She'll say her piece, make her observations and do her job. She tries her best to not muddy the relationships with others by needlessly divulging emotions or information that is unnecessary. She'll try and make good snap decisions and tries to keep any issue divided up into "black and white" as much as possible. Room for questions or doubt isn't what she wants. She's a bit guarded, but if you catch her off duty- she's slightly warmer towards people. She has the capability to laugh and joke and be merry, it's just not often that she wastes time on frivolous behavior.

NOTEABLE SKILLS: Aside from being a crafty combat engineer, she has a penchant for making things here and there with scrap and unusable items, sometimes useful stuff, sometimes just putting things together just to put it together- then take it apart when she needs a certain part to make it into something of use. She also has crafted a still to take with her. She makes something she refers to as "engine de-greaser", and compares it to promethium like it's fuel. Might as well be with the kick it gives you. Aside from that, she's good at following orders to a fault and she's a fairly good shot.

BACKGROUND: D's family was unremarkable, her father died doing his duty, serving for his people and for the Emperor. There was pride in a death like that. The only remarkable thing about her family is perhaps their luck, None of the family that serve die in peaceful means, it's always on a battlefield. Honorable, but it still leaves you with a bitter taste in your mouth that the swill you call alcohol isn't enough to wash away. She has an easy understanding with the fact that she might come to meet her maker, and that could be sooner than later. She's happy to be of service and follow in the footsteps of her family, and she finds calm in the thought that this is a path that has been tried and true for her family, though it may end with you dead on the field- your life meant something, you did something of worth.

She was never meant to feel pushed into her decision, she chose to devote herself to this path, and accepted the good and the bad that might come with that choice.

NOTEABLE EQUIPMENT:

*An extremely worn flask that has her last name etched on it,- if she was to perish and the damned-able thing survives, hopefully it gets back home so the next of kin can take it with them. Family heirlooms to take with you on duty, eh? The still was crafted so she wouldn't have to carry around the pisswater everyone else has.

*Make-shift still that is obvious enough that it would probably piss-off more than a few commissars.

* A necklace that was given to her by her mother that was given to her by her father.

*The still (She only has one, Grumps. unless you want one too.)

*Tools of her trade so that she can keep everything working in fine condition.

RELATIONSHIP WITH REST OF SQUAD:
Will update eventually.

*EDITED: Changed up from Sentinel pilot to combat mechanic. I'm keeping the damned still, you'll have to pry it from my cold damnedable hands.

*EDITED 2: You took my still, I won't forget this.

* Edit 3: You merely wanted to make sure I didn't have two stills, why would I have two stills? Far too many stills, you only need one for what she does. Two stills worth of flamer fluid? No man, bad idea.

GRAAARH!

Dirty Xenos loving scum!

(The "Greater Good" being the Tau's catchphrase and all :p)

I don't think we have access to a Drop Sentinel at this time, but the skillset might no go astray, depending on Grumpy of course. :p

I'd be fine with changing up the char if it doesn't suit the needs of the roleplay. I was uncertain of what role to take otherwise and it might take a hell of a lot of time to come up with another idea. Figured I've thrown curve balls at Grumpy before, might work to do it again. Otherwise I'd be fine with going back to the drawing board.

EDIT: Slightly edited the char sheet. <.<;; Now I'm just playing the waiting game of seeing if the risky choice even pays off.

YES. GOOD MAN. WE STILL NEED A SQUAD NAME, DAMMIT.

@Hydronine D is awesome. I really do like what you've done with her (especially the makeshift still, that's gonna be fucking hilarious at some point). Only issue is that I don't think the Squad should have access to a Drop Sentinel of their own; Sentinels tend to get fielded as separate units in their own right, and used as fire support for a company or regiment.

That being said, I don't think you need to go rushing back off to the drawing board. D's obviously got a bit of a technical and mechanical knack, so you could maybe retrofit her as a Combat Engineer? Not quite a Tech-Priest, but someone with a working knowledge of basic, non-heretical technical stuff who can help get shit that the squad needs working and the like.

Just a thought.

We could be Grumpy's Grunts. xD

*trembles* oh my shit he likes it.

Sure, i'll figure it out and change it a bit here and there. I've got a diehard imperial guardsmen player in the next room who honestly seemed to consider joining iwaku for this rp. (I'll just keep telling him about grumpy's roleplays) Having him help me out a bit keeps me from thinking heretically.

EDIT: I have changed it up a bit.
