Born to a royal family in a land known as Ne'ermoore, Dragomira was provided with all she could ever ask for, and more. But this was never truly enough for the young lass. She didn't want to be proper; not in any way. She wanted to go spar with the knights, read in the libraries, ride her own horse! Though, this only resulted in rejection. She was cast out, and ordered to never return. So, she lived her life on the streets, doing every little thing she had always wanted to. However; everywhere she went, all she faced was rejection.
In the kingdom, you see, women were lesser. They were there solely to take care of and spoil the men. They were not allowed to do anything without a man's presence, nor could they speak, lest spoken to. They couldn't partake in games, sports, riding.. None of it. And as such, Dragomira was spat at, abused, downspoken.. She'd never live up to what anyone wanted.
Well, not until the Dawn Of War.
Ne'ermoore was under attack. An attack larger than anything they'd seen before; something that used everything they had against them. It appeared there had been terrorists who ha intruded their kingdom. Sure, this normally didn't end to badly, but this time?
It turned everything to hell.
A neighboring country had developed cloning technology, due to an untimely visit from an imbecilic and careless man paying a visit from the future. He more than willingly sold quite a bit of advanced technology to the rival, and they took it happily. The infiltraters had stolen DNA from the strongest, wisest, and wittiest of the Ne'ermooreans. They created clones of all kinds, and sent them off to destroy everything in sight. But this didn't intimidate Dragomira; it excited her. THIS was her big chance to prove herself, and she took it more than willingly. With a little help from a pixie-sized man she called her godbrother, Dragomira whipped up a
suit of ebony armor, donning a
black winged helmet to match.
Taking on the alias of The Black Knight to keep her identity secret(and the fact she was a woman unknown), Dragomira pulled together an army, using her strategic abilities to come up with a plan of both defense and offense. She stationed her soldiers accordingly, and proceeded to lead her rag-tag team into battle.
After almost three years, the war was finally coming to an end.The number of soldiers left on both sides were quickly diminishing, and Dragomira was ready to send the other side packing, when next thing she knew... She was bleeding out. She'd taken a stab through her leg, leaving her unable to continue the fight. As she slowly faded from consciousness, the last thing she saw was her horse; Nightmare. But he was no longer a horse. Right before her eyes, he had changed into a man. Then, she blacked out.
But she awoke; feeling much stronger and replenished. Startled, she looked around, and found Nightmare at her side, smiling at her. Shortly after, she discovered that he was a shapeshifter, and that he had injected her with his blood to keep her going. In such, she healed quickly, due to a special healing factor gained from Nightmare's blood. She insisted on returning to the battlefield, lucky that she hadn't been spotted in her tent without her armor concealing her gender.
Though, she
had gotten a piece of her DNA stolen from her, post receiving her companion's injection, resulting in a super-clone. Leaving her army with her best soldier in charge, she set off for a 'special mission', planning to quickly subdue the other side's new superweapon. And she succeeded, using her newfound powers and her skill with weaponry.
....Or so she thought.
It's been years since she took out the opposing army's generals, and destroyed their tech. She came home a hero; revealing her true identity for the first time since leaving on that journey. Despite her gender, she had finally earned her land's acceptance and respect. And most important of all, to her? Her family's love. Little did she know, her dark clone remained; and clung onto the blueprints for the tech that would be Ne'ermoore's downfall. She swore she'd kill them all, one day...
However, to Ne'ermoore's luck, the curse occurred.
