I think that's somewhat naive, that "Fate will make it work out." Yes, I've said similar to others, along the lines of... "if it was meant to be, things will work out." However, I've ALWAYS made sure to make something clear once I've said that:
It will only work out if you a) want it to, and b) take steps to make sure it works out.
You can't sit by idly and expect a relationship to work, or not work. You have to FIGHT for it, and even then, odds are, it won't work.
