I think that's somewhat naive, that "Fate will make it work out." Yes, I've said similar to others, along the lines of... "if it was meant to be, things will work out." However, I've ALWAYS made sure to make something clear once I've said that:

It will only work out if you a) want it to, and b) take steps to make sure it works out.

You can't sit by idly and expect a relationship to work, or not work. You have to FIGHT for it, and even then, odds are, it won't work.

Well, I'm not saying you can just sit by and hope that a ticket to go across country will fall in your lap.

I'm saying that maybe it's something like as, you have the time and money to go see someone when you usually have a super busy schedule and no moneys.
