APPEARANCE
NAME
Jack
AGE
13
HYBRID
Hawk
ANIMAL FEATURES
Jack's main strange features are his eyes. While he can usually hide his large brown wings under clothing, his serious, beady golden eyes are unmistakably inhuman.
PERSONALITY
Competitive - Jack hates to lose. He only makes competitions out of things that other people consider competitions, but once he does, he really really hates to lose. He's always gunning for first place, and can even be a bit nasty or underhanded about it at times.
Impersonal - Not really likely to desire close, personal connections, he doesn't seem to much care what other people think about him. He doesn't have many "favorites," and really just doesn't think of people as things you judge beyond assessing threats.
Fearless - This is not the same as bravery. Jack is not brave. He's more just stupidly unafraid of everyone and everything. Dying doesn't concern him, neither does pain, which may feed into his impulsive behavior.
Impulsive - His emotions and instincts often take over his proper mind, and he can sometimes do things that surprise even himself.
Obsessive/Stubborn - Once Jack fixates on something, he has a hard time letting it go. Whether it be a project, idea, person, or thing, he's likely to stay stuck on it until he gets bored with it, which is sometimes never.
WEAPON
Pistol
SPECIAL ABILITIES
Hawk Sight - "Hawks have four types of colour receptors in the eye. These give birds the ability to perceive not only the visible range but also the ultraviolet part of the spectrum, and other adaptations allow for the detection of polarised light or magnetic fields." (Taken from Wikipedia)
Fore Sight - Traditionally, hawks were associated with the sun gods, and were thought to be messengers and prophets. Jack can feel premonitions when he looks at someone, like getting the sudden feeling that something bad is going to happen to them in the near future, or something good, or fishy.
Second Sight (acquired) - Jack can control the birds within the a certain distance, seeing and sensing through the birds' senses, as well as his own, and guiding them a little so he can see better. Since he'd be seeing through them at the same time he's using his own eyes, it can get a bit confusing, though.

STRENGTHS
Analytical/Clever - Jack is good at reading a situation. While not always one to have the perfect strategy in mind, he's quite clever when it comes to figuring out a battle plan.
Deceptively Strong - Although he's a bit of a scrawny kid, he can deliver powerful blows, and pick up things most people would find too heavy. His most significant strength, however, is in his grip. Once he's got something, good luck trying to claw it out of his fist.
Good Intuition - He has a strong sixth sense, I suppose you could say. If something dangerous is coming, or someone is watching him, he's the kind of kid who will feel it.
WEAKNESSES
Interpersonal Communication - This hybrid is... not exactly the best at figuring out how to talk to people. While he's not particularly shy, he tries not to talk too much, because when he does he usually says the exact opposite of whatever is most helpful to say at the moment.
Impulsive/Reckless - Despite his analytical skills, and even sometimes opposing his own common sense and intuition, Jack can be swayed by his emotions, and do things suddenly without thinking.
Fragile Bones - To improve speed of flight, his bones are hollow, but this also means they break more easily.
RELATIONSHIP
Perican - Unlike most of his siblings, Jack does not obsessively covet his "father's" love. Being the last of Perican's creations, he is also aware that he is supposed to be the most "perfect," but the fact is, he doesn't think Perican loved him much, nor does he particularly care. He is grateful to Perican for creating him, but sees him as a silly, lonely man to be pitied more than loved.
Aster - Jack didn't know his eldest sister very well, but he thinks on her with an odd sort of neutrality. He feels a little bad that she felt supplanted by the rest of them, as was very clear, and he always got a bad feeling when he looked at her, but he found himself interacting with her very little, and was therefore not invested enough to form a strong opinion of her.
Belethia - While he would begrudgingly respect her for her leadership, Jack would also be a little irritated with her protective attitude, and even more so with her stubbornness and short temper. Most likely he'd be the most obedient with her commands, but occasionally show passive-aggressive displeasure towards her, and would probably avoid her when he's not feeling good to begin with.
Alastor - The cat hybrid can be a bit annoying at times, like his other protective, prankster siblings, but he does actually enjoy his older brother's company, because Alastor helps him with his construction projects at time. He is also playful enough to be interesting, and Jack does think well of him, though he'd never admit it to anyone.
Nyla - For all that she seems to be highly manipulative and devious, Jack sees her as the most likely to be easily manipulated. Her loyalty towards Perican and her love of pastries are just so straightforwardly simple. By merit of this fact, Jack would find her downright boring, and would quite possibly ignore her existence unless she specifically tried to talk to him.
Sorena - As a fellow bird-creature, Jack would most likely gravitate towards her, especially with her calm, quiet personality. He'd see her as an oasis among siblings he largely finds slightly irritating and probably a little too intrusive. He'd probably be the most comfortable with her, and is most likely the nicest to her, as well.
Oran - Despite being rather similar to Nyla in some ways, Oran is probably a little more tolerable, simply because he gives off a more laidback feel. Jack might find the older boy a little more interesting, and maybe even respect him a little for his intellectual abilities.
Cazanna - Jack would hate everything about Cazanna except for maybe her competitiveness. As he himself is rather competitive, he can respect some good competition, but little else in her personality could possibly endear her to him. He is the youngest, so he's certainly used to being bossed around a bit, he doesn't need to be bossed around more. Her protectiveness would be just as irritating as it is with his other elder siblings, and her aggressive and selfish traits would both disgust and frustrate him. No doubt, he'd stay as far away from her as possible, and when forced to interact with her, would become ten times as irritable and more likely to act out violently or fly away without bothering to finish the exchange properly.
OTHER
