OC Tournament & Resort Combat Test Thread

Xy was beginning to feel the battle take a toll on him, but by looking at him, you would never know. He still stood staunch and defiant as he grit his teeth. Seeing the man come charging toward him, Xy took his own initiative once more. He ran toward the man, moving to close the distance once more lunging forward with one hand as his other held the claymore back.

As the two opponents would come into contact, Neil would evade Xy's attack and manage to land his own, punching the larger man in the jaw like he intended to using his psychically-augmented fist. An attempt at a second attack would fail as the sky briefly lit up with a sudden and extremely bright display of lightning, catching Neil by surprise and making him recoil back instead of carrying on with his attack.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Smirking as he landed his improvised melee attack, Neil was forced to fall back, thinking the flash in the sky meant the arrival of an uninvited electrical guest. Now some meters away from his opponent, Neil lifted his hand and flexed his fingers, not used to doing any sort of melee attacks on his opponents. "Ow, how do you big boys keep fighting by swinging your arms like that...", he commented to himself.
Shaking his head, the esper returned to the fight. Waving his finger, Neil attempted to catch Xy with his telekinesis, aiming to lift him in the air and smash him back on the ground should he succeed in grappling him.
The large man landed back to the ground, taking a knee for a moment. He let his hand rest upon his chin for a moment, rubbing the part of his flesh that had been struck. With a quick yank, there was an audible crack as he realigned his jaw followed by Xy spitting blood to the ground beside him. He looked up to the wispy boy with a smirk upon his lips.
"You are quite agile," he said simply, his voice deep and gruff in comparison. He slowly climbed back to his feet and readjusted his grip on the claymore. "That doesn't mean I'm done just quite yet," he said as he once again charged toward Neil. Though he was fighting a losing battle against the psychic, it was obvious his determination had not faltered.
As Xy launched himself towards Neil, his blow seemed to be ready to break a few bones. However, just a mere moment before the attack landed, the Esper was able to grab Xy in his tracks, throwing him back to slam into a different platform.
Terrain: Muddy Wasteland
Weather: Downpour
Opponent: Sail @Sail
"I see." Kelon said as Sail apologized. "If this is where I fall, then I'll give you a show to remember." he growled. He grabbed the handles of two swords, and would launch himself directly at Sail. If she was going all-out, he would too.
(Bladestorm - 6 Attack Dice)
Kelon vs Sail
@Mythy the Dragon-Wolf @Sail
Terrain: Muddy Wasteland
Weather: Downpour
Pitfalls: 2s also critically fail
Sail -> Counter 1 Attack (10) = 1 Success
Kelon was able to dodge the stones that Sail threw at him, closing the distance and slashing twice. Sail dodged the first and got a cut in her abdomen due to the other, but As they landed from this attack, they both lost their footing. Sail would be able to more easily capitalize on this and get in another attack on Kelon.
Neil was fortunately quick enough and was able to telekinetically grab the larger man before throwing him away. That was a close one... His earlier melee shenanigan was enough of a gamble; one he didn't particularly want repeating. Whether it was by his hands or the gigantic sword he was carrying, getting hit by anything else again wasn't too high on his priority list.
"Wait, you talked!?", Neil briefly stopped himself as the thought dawned on him. "I'm honored, now!", his smirk grew as he prepared himself to continue, his eyes glowing blue. Maybe this guy wasn't a lost cause, after all! Regardless, Neil didn't lower his guard in the slightest as he attempted to take control of the platform his opponent was laying on, trying to flip it over so the man would fall even lower. His mind started to drift away from the thunderstorm raging above as it seemed to be quite calm... for a raging thunderstorm. Maybe there wouldn't be any lightning bolts like he expected at first.
A groan left the man as he fell back to the ground once more. He could sense defeat creeping up on him. He brought himself back up to his feet, his stance somewhat shaky at first. The back of his hand wiped across his bloody lip as a smirk came to his lips. He stood back up, solid in his stance as he gripped the claymore with both hands, holding it steady out in front of him.
Though he was battered and beaten, he still had a look of determination upon his face. He would not surrender or submit. This was a fight until the end, even if it meant his demise. This small man was not like the opponents he was used to, but then again he was restricted on his gear. The life of a bounty hunter afforded him quite the amount of gadgets and artillery, but here in this arena, all he had was his brawn and his trusty claymore.
He took a long, deep breath and made one final dashing charge toward the man. If he was going to go down, he would not go down with any reserves left in his tank. He would fight himself to within an inch of his limit. His opponent would not be given the chance to say that he gave up.
(Bum rush - Cooldown - 4 turns ; 3 attack dice, 1 additional attack die for succession)
Sail felt the blade slash across her lower stomach; she grimaced in pain, thankful for her armor from preventing a permanent injury. She slipped as her concentration fell, a rock she had throw being slung off course. In that moment, she saw Kelon also slip-a perfect opportunity to strike.
The final rock slammed into him. With her first onslaught complete, she was prepared to launch another. She pulled her gun from its holster, flicked it to explosive mode, and fired off two blasts at his lower body.
Kelon, now with a blade in each hand, was panting from the exertion of this fight. He looked into Sail's eyes, and smirked a little. "You aren't holding anything back. I'm proud to be fighting an opponent like you." he grinned, before spotting her raising her pistol. He rose his blades, ready for an attack...
Kelon was able to leap in a way that took less damage from the explosion, with momentum that carried him towards Sail. He swung with his sword, only slightly missing the opponent before landing behind her, standing a bit more wobbly than before.
Neil flipped Xy onto a lower platform, dealing some damage. However, he seemed to be distracted long enough that Xy was able to cut into him twice with his sword. Neil was able to bring up his barrier to block the third sword attack, and dodge the fist that came after.
