Nova University

Professor Krego , Green

With the speech complete, Krego and his book would be out of the area of attention if he'd join the other teachers now. Having stood next to the wall near many students, few noticed him and fewer recognized him, or at least that was how it seemed. Making his way to the faculty table, Krego sat himself next to Amberlyn. The funny thing about seeing her as a teacher alongside him was the fact that she was a student when Krego was a chaperone. Despite this he certainly did not see her as the student, she grew and he saw that. The two did share a special connection, and had the night to prove it. Though that was in the past, it did draw the pair closer. "Good day, everyone." Krego spoke to the table.

The Ham and the Chicken were the two most popular, but Krego headed for the fish first. Glancing his eyes to the new teacher, who looked ill and had the soup to further show, he spoke once more to her. "We haven't met yet, I'm Professor Oracio Krego, I teach basic magics." He was rather certain she was the new Advanced Weapons teacher, but should he be wrong he'd be embarrassed, thus keeping himself silent.

Biting into the fish, it was perfect, as usual. Krego was born in Sull, a town bordering the ocean, if you didn't eat fish you didn't eat at all. Granted the local fish there tasted quite different, however that didn't necessarily mean better. The seasoning was perfect and the meat was moist, Sides of sauteed beans matched perfectly.

Professor Arukab , Gray

Behind the stage, Arukab took a deep breath. He had to look stone for the speech, but it wasn't like him. He had a soft spot for students, watching boys grow into men and girls grow into women. Even people that become teachers had taken his course, and most students parents had studied under him as well. Walking through the exit, he'd decided to take care of some work. Of the 3 heads of house, Arukab had the position the longest and as such was grandfathered into doing most of the paperwork that centered around the university as a whole. Because the ship had arrived today, the captain of said ship should have sent in papers which would confirm every students safe departure and arrival. Any students not accounted for would be assumed to be in the town, but the work still needed to be read and signed. The feast was glorious, fit for kings, but this year marked the one hundred second feast, and once you reach around 50 of the same annual feast, you don't mind missing one every so often.

Henry-

Henry smiled under his wrappings, feeling hisself come alive even more than he truely was. The man took notice that the other professor took interest in him. It was something not many people did, unless if they were his own students. "I could arrange that for you, possibly, as long as there is a ward around me during that time. Its not something I would normally do for people, but since you have taken interest, why not?"

Henry was interested to find out why Mishra was wondering about him. Henry wondered himself about what reasons were hidden behind Mishra's sentences that were spoken. Henry turned around, his nose following Mishra's scent to locate where he was.

Why is Mishra interested in what is behind my wrappings, Henry thought to himself. It was a curiosity that Henry might find out sooner than later. He looked down at his tall body and thought, Do I really reek of formaldehyde?

Jeric-

Jeric ran out of the main hall his cloak flailing back behind him, his clothing covered up a majority of his bandages, but not his face. The 19 year old was upset about what was going on with Cren, just agging him on to try and attack people. So he ran outside in a blur.

Jeric didn't feel prepared at the moment, but he didn't want to be around all the people. It would only make things worse for him to be around others. So he his himself behind some bushes outside, and tried to get her his own thoughts.
"Why won't you let me have fun Jeric, I want to have some fun" Cren jeered at Jeric. He wasn't wanting to speak or think at the moment so he blocked out Cren, keeping his thoughts collected, calm and collected.

Markus stared quizzically after the bandaged guy ran out of the room. Something told him he should leave the guy alone, and thoughtfully returned to his food. Feed up with not having a substantial conversation, the changeling glanced at the boy next to him, a blond (?) guy who looked the same age that he was supposed to be.

"Is this your first year here?" He asked, carefully accenting his voice so that he would sound like Markus. Not that it would matter anyway, it wasn't as if anyone actually knew him.

Amberlyn LaRosa , Teal
Amberlyn focused all her attention on keeping herself still as Krego sat next to her. If she were to shudder or squirm at his closeness, it would surely give something away. When he addressed the table, she relaxed a bit. She nodded to him and continued to eat in silence. She preferred to listen to the chatter from the others than insert herself into a conversation.

Across the table, Mishra and Henry were speaking. Even though Henry's face was entirely wrapped with bandages, Amberlyn could tell that underneath, he was smiling. He was enjoying the attention. She made a note to herself to be kind to him. Of course, that isn't very uncharacteristic of her.

Out in the sea of feeding students, Amberlyn noticed a stir. Some students looked afraid and backed away from a single student. The young man's hair was half black and half white, and his right side was covered with bandages. He ran from the hall out the front door. He looked distraught. The students around him settled down, but the sight bothered Amberlyn.

"Excuse me everyone," she said as she stood up to leave the table. Without waiting for responses, Amberlyn placed her napkin on her plate and quickly left the stage, crossed the room, and exited the front doors behind the student. However, when she arrived outside, he seemed to have disappeared.

Genevieve Brookes , Plum
The table Genny sat at was boring. Everyone knew each other from previous years, and rather than catching up, they chose to stuff their faces in quiet.

"So, how was your break?" she asked her friend. "Meh," the friend responded with a shrug.

Genny would see her old friend plenty throughout the year, so she decided to use this time to make some new ones. "Anyway, I'm gonna go meet some first-years," she said to them. She hardly got a glance in response. She picked up her plate, laughed to herself, and looked around the room for a welcoming face. She saw a young man across the room with reddish curly hair. He was cute and seemed friendly. She headed his direction. There was an empty spot near him.

"Sorry to interrupt. Is this seat taken?"

Jeric-

Jeric had peered out of the bushes, only to see one person that followed out after him. He then noticed something that kept him from hiding, his cloak. It hung over the bushes like a lazy lizard, sitting in the heat. Snagging it on the bushes, he pulled and pulled, making noise with the branches of the bushes.

He finally pulled the cloak towards him, tearing it slightly. He looked at it and cursed, "Damn." Inside, Cren smiled evilly. The Wraith always smiled at Jerics failures, it gave him a sense of crooked happiness. "Someone followed us Jeric, let's have fun with them" the Wraith spoke aloud for Jeric. This time Jeric had an even harder time controlling Cren. Causing a dark aura to suddenly covered his body. Jeric stood, but his personality wasn't himself, his personality became Crens, the Wraith took over.

He looked at the person who followed him out. It was a teacher by the looks of it. She seemed to be looking for him possibly. But he, wasn't interested in speaking to her at all. He was interested in pain. Jeric shouted in a demonic voice, the voice of Cren, "Why don't we have some fun, shall we!" He then heard footsteps and turned to see someone running in their direction.

Grey-

Grey had woken up on the ship that had brought over the students. He walked out of the lower cabin the students were in before the ship had landed ashore. The man soon noticed that no one was on the ship, except for the crew members. Grey grinned for a moment, Let's spook the captain a little.

Grey decided to put his strap system together and place the swords in their appropriate slots. He then pulled out Windbreaker and Water's Edge, readying them. Sprouting his light grey feathered wings, he sent himself upwards through the wooden ships upper deck, slashing at the wood to make it easier to smash through.

This definitely surprised the captain, as he had not known that Grey was still below deck. The ship was already back out on the ocean, not that far from the shore of the island that the university was on. He sheathed his swords and flew directly towards it. When he got close he could see the front doors of Nova University, and something else.

Grey had landed as quickly as he could, hiding his wings as he ran towards the university. He noticed a dark aura coming from someone, while another had stood across from the person. The being had gotten closer and closer to see what had been going on. When he got as close as possible, he saw what looked like a young student holding the dark aura, while the other was a female that looked older than the student. Grey presumed she was a professor or teacher, whichever was preferred.

The student that Grey noticed had a dark aura around him, wore bandages on one half of his body while the other looked perfectly normal. He also seemed to be wearing a black cloak, and his hair was two toned. He also had a slightly crazed look on his face, but it became surprised as soon as Grey was seen.

Markus glanced to the girl, training his smile to not falter. "Nope, not at all." He replied quickly and moved his things out of the way. Leave it to him to have his stuff all over the place. His roommate was going to hate him. She didn't look like a first year (they all looked the same anyway with those wide-eyed expressions that he probably had) judging mostly on appearance.

He gave her a smile, unsure if he should introduce himself first or wait for her to speak. Customs had changed so much from the time he left society despite not being a participant with much knowledge. "I'm Markus." He blurted, looking almost surprised.

[The Advanced Magics professor barely took notice of Henry's words, his mind already drifting on into what he might find underneath the wrappings. He had a feeling that the result would be something unliving. His enhanced senses could detect both death and formaldehyde on Henry in quantities that could be expected if you had spilled it on yourself. With Snake-eyes though, it followed him around, like he was using it as a personal fragrance.

He gathered up a plate of food before sitting back down where he had been, using his fork to toy with the meal and idly eat it. His other hand though was tracing lines onto the table beside the plate, in some sort of order. He was planning what he intended to do, based on his assumption that Henry was hiding something very much so dead under those bandages. Seemingly on a whim, he brought out the small notebook and flipped the pages with a single hand as he ate, pausing when he came to Henry's entry.

There was just so much to work with and so much he didn't know. He wanted to slice into Snake-Eyes and see what made him tick, if anything at all did. To see what was inside, what could be removed, replaced, added onto. He wanted to do so much to him...]

Amberlyn LaRosa , Teal
Amberlyn began to turn back to the feast when she heard some rustling in the bushes nearby. Then, a voice. It was inaudible at first, but just as she was about to call out to it, it came again more clearly. The voice was intimidating, evil, and sadistic. She caught a glimpse of the creature through the bushes.

Amberlyn was not prepared for a fight. She'd never fared well in combat, and she carried no weapon on top of that. Could this voice be that of the student she saw moments ago, running from the main hall in escape? No, this was something much more grotesque. She backpedaled a few steps toward the hall once more, hoping to flag down Arukab or Mishra. Whatever this wraith was, it would take much more than impeccable alchemy skills to defeat it.

Just before reaching the entrance to the hall, she saw another being off in the distance, headed their way. As it drew nearer, she identified it as a he, a student of the school she'd seen before, although she'd never taught him herself. His red hair blew away from his face as he ran.

The creature in the bushes was distracted by the student running toward them. Amberlyn took her opportunity. She opened the doors behind her and, without turning her back to the commotion, shouted into the hall.

"Arukab!"

Genevieve Brookes , Plum
"I'm Genevieve. You can call me Genny." She watched as he moved his belongings out of the way and made room for her. She smiled back at him.

Sitting down beside him she looked around at the other students nearby. She heard Professor LaRosa calling for Arukab from the exit. She ignored it. Probably something about class schedules.

Offering her hand to Markus, she continued, "I'm a third-year, Scholar House. How about you?" She giggled a bit, which may have come off as flirty. Truthfully she was laughing at herself, as if she needed him to tell her he was a first-year.

Henry-

Henry sat quietly at the faculty table and was about to doze off. But he heard shouting coming from the main hall door. This sounded different from the normal shouting that was going on at the tables of the Main Hall. This shouting was calling for someone, Arukab, and they meant quick, but who was it that was calling out.

Not knowing who it was who was calling out, Henry went to go searching for Arukab as quick as possible, using his scent receptors to pass by other faculty and students. It was a critical moment right then to search for Arukab.

Jeric-

Jeric looked over at student who had just gotten here, cocking his head to the side like a wild animal. He wasn't sure of what to make of Grey. The horns on his head and the eyes that perplexed Jeric to wonder what he was. Then he noticed the swords set on the mans back looked dangerous. But Cren smiled on the inside of Jerics body, and made his host smile as well.

Then Jeric untied the cloak, letting it fall to the ground. The bandages around his head were untied and taken off, revealing the half dead looking body of Jerics. As the bandages fell to the ground, Jerics right eye opened up slowly, adjusting to the light. The ominous eye of black and red color appeared. This was Cren, the Wraith that took over Jeric. Jeric spoke in Cren's voice, "My name is Cren the Wraith, and my dear host, Jeric Cian, has made a deal with me to help him be able to walk again, but I got bored, so it is time I had some fun." Jerics right arm suddenlt lit up in a dark electricity, and he spoke the name of the spell he was casting, "Dark Lightning."

Grey-

Grey stood there, looking at the younger student before him. He also noted the professor herself looked slightly scared, at least that was what Grey noted. The student had removed the cloak he wore, and some bandages covering the right side of his face. His eye opened looking directly at Grey, getting him to think, I thought my eyes looked bad, this kid should look in a mirror.

Grey walked slowly in between the two, teacher and student. Seeing Jeric suddenly start holding dark electricity on his arm. He became concerned for his safety and gripped the handles of Death's Caress and Earthen Prowess. He pulled them out of their slots in the strap system, and held them ready for battle in case if he had to. Grey's grip was tight on the handles ready to strike whenever, and he spoke to Jeric, or Cren, whoever it was, "Don't try to fight me boy, you won't win."

Markus grinned, giving a light shrug. "First year, Scholar house." Was she flirting with him? He really couldn't tell. Any actual courting knowledge he knew was at least a century out of date, and it wasn't that expanse. (Did giving the girl you liked a flower count? Or shyly staring at them from across the village? It probably didn't. She probably wasn't even interested in him. He couldn't count all the various troll ways of courting and marriage on both hands. He supposed humans were like that too.)

"I guess we're in the same house then." He added just as lightly, his tongue stumbling over the word house while he was distracted with his own thoughts. It sounded weird, with an unnatural guttural sound that really didn't belong. Markus cleared his throat, hoping that it would just be written off as a stutter.

Amber-
Sitting at a table close to the door was a girl, new to Nova Academy. She looked sy the feast before her and was quite shocked at how much there was. But that quickly faded when she saw a certain plate of rice balls. She quickly snatched it and took one of the plate. She examined it carefully before taking a bite. It tasted exactly like the ones her mom made. Amber's eyes lit up for a minute before she remembered her brother. A frown found it's way on her face and she ate her fill of the rice balls in silence.

After her meal Amber stood up and exited the building. She walked over to where the maps were and snatched one up. She opened it and looked at everything before deciding where to go. Amber nearly folded the map and placed it in her pocket. She walked to the little store and stepped inside. As she did she heard the sound of a bell jingling as the door opened. Amber ignored it. She looked around, hoping to find something good. Eventually her eyes landed on a small silver dragon statue that had red ruby eyes. She picked it up and smiled. Perfect. She thought before walking over to the counter. Behind it sat a women who seemed far to cheery.
"How much?" She asked. The women took the statue and examkned it. "Five pounds~" She replied and set it down. Amber took out her money and handed the women five pounds. She then took the statue and left, ignoring the lady as she said goodbye and thanked her for her service.

Amber walked back to the school and laid in the grass. She set the statue beside her and stared up at the sky, wondering what the school year would be like and how it would effect her. Amber eventually sighed, not wanting to think about all the horrible possibilities.

Emily-
Emily listened to the speech and at the mention of people deing because of the Wraith's her eyes saddened. Emily watched as the people brought out then food and was surprised how they could make so much. Emily waited until all the trays and plates had been set down on the table before she joined the others in taking the lids off. Her eyes widened at the sight of slightly bloody deer meat. A smile formed on her face and she took the plate of deer meat. It was her favorite food in the whole world. Emily ate with patience and gratefulness until she was full.

Once she finished her meal the newbie decided to wander around the school a little. She stood up from the table and walked around for quite a while. The school was large with many rooms. Emily walked in awe at all the fine work of the schools structure. It was indeed amazing and made Emily rather curious.

Emily eventually found the library and becamd very excited. Her tail wagged happily and she set her hand on the door handle. Emily opened the door and stepped in, taking in the wonderful smells. She closed the door behind her and stared in amazement at all the books. She wondered in the library before she found a book about the history of Nova Academy. Emily carefully took the book from then shelf and placed a divider in its place. She climbed down the ladder and walked over to a table where she sat down and opened the book. She opened it's dusty yellow pages and began reading with tons of interest.

Aaron-
Aaron didn't care about the speech of the feast. He had been here last year and it didn't really seem fun. Aaron met up with a group of his friends and they all talked and laughed. Aaron was glad to be back. Now he could be in the Dragoon house. It excited him beyond belief. Aaron felt a tap on his back and turned around to see a girl. Not already. He groaned in his mind. As expected the girl confessed to him and he sighed as though a ton of weight was on his shoulders.
"Sorry, but no. I'm not at all interested." He told her. She began crying but nodded then turned and ran away.

"What the hell is wrong with you Aaron! Don't make girls cry!" A girl yelled from behind him. Oh god. Aaron thought and turned to see Vanessa. She had her hands on her hips and her brown eyes were narrowed. "All I did was turn her down. Get off my back would ya?" He growled in annoyance. Vanessa took a step forward. "Why should I? You make girls cry, dress like a moron, and seduce girls." She growled back. "That's not true. And this is your last warning Vanessa." He threatened, narrowing his eyes. He watched as Vanessa looked around then slowly backed away and eventually turned around and walk off like she had won the arugement.

Aaron laid in the grass, a arm over his eyes. Why is it that Vanessa is always there? God, what a brat. He thought and groaned. Suddenly he felt a soft kick in his side and looked up to see his best friend Troy.
"Yo." Troy said casually and sat down beside Aaron. Aaron sat up. "Yo." He greeted back. They soon started talking about random things and Aaron felt the tension leave him.

[Amberlyn's cry came just as Mishra was turning a page, that minute break in his attention tended to be his downfall. His ears perked up and he looked over in the direction of the voice. Sure enough, the Scholar House head was at the doors to the hall, her back facing the crowd at large. Narrowing his eyes, Mishra could see something further on, apparently the object of her troubles. Had it not been Amberlyn who called out, the spirit might have just let things go on as they were. However, the woman, while lacking in physical prowess, had an astounding intellect and if she needed help, then it was a fact that she did. Whether or not she needed Arukab specifically was a moot point - clearly something was happening that required someone else attention.

With a sigh and the clap of his book shutting, he left his half eaten plate behind, backing up through the chair to stand up. He leisurely made his way towards Amberlyn, a smie on his face and his eyes half-shut in mock boredom. When he got there, his natural grace making for easy maneuvering, his gaze focused on Jeric and the half-undead body he had, the bandages giving it away that he had been shrouded.

"So what is it? Did we have another breakdown? Didn't think we would have one so early in the semester. Who would have thought that good food could cause someone to lose their mind?" he said offhandedly to Amberlyn.]

Jeric-

Jeric looked at the swords that Grey had held in his hands, they were strange, Cren looked in awe at them from inside Jeric's mind. This caused Jeric to grin, his right eye glowing dark as well. Cren had realized those swords before, and spoke through Jeric, "I remember those swords you have there, you are The Five Bladed Swordsman."

Those words stood out like townsman in the forest, standing there in the air. Cren remembered those swords very well in fact, when he was a lone wraith three years ago. "My fellow wraiths that I caused destruction with a long time ago, were killed by this very swordsman." Cren's anger rose even more, remembering the day it happened, not really noticing the fact that Mishra was coming into the scene.

Grey-

Grey waited for something to happen, he waited for anything to happen really. But then he noticed something on Jeric's face, something that looked like anger. Then he heard the boy's words. How did the two ever meet? How did he remember Grey. Then he heard the word Wraith and his eyes of confusion turned to seriousness.

"So you're a Wraith, huh? Well then, I have no idea where to spare you and knock you out, but killing you would have to be out of the question" Grey stated the options. Switched out one of the swords, Death's Caress, and switched it out with Water's Edge. Both of the two combined could cause a good knock out move.

Amberlyn LaRosa , Teal
Amberlyn was relieved to see Mishra on his way, however slowly he was coming. While no violence had broken out yet, it was sure to come. At the moment, the situation seemed to be under control. "I wouldn't call it a break down, exactly," she responded. "I think that young man is possessed."

As the student approached the wraith, there was a moment of recognition between them. The wraith in the human body smiled with evil intent. Amberlyn remained cool, not revealing her anxiety over the situation. It would do no good for such a sadistic being to know it is feared. Neither the student nor the creature acknowledged her presence. The history between the two became clear as they spoke. The student had once killed the wraiths comrades. And while it was not the original intention, it now wanted revenge.

Amberlyn assessed the situation. Clearly, there was to be bloodshed, but how much? Will a simple healing elixir do here, or will they require Virgil's help?

She had to leave both students in Mishra's care, and that helped her make up her mind. While she trusted his skills, he was unpredictable. Better fetch Virgil to be on the safe side.

"Don't let them hurt each other too badly." she shouted to him, as she jogged away toward the infirmary.

Genevieve Brookes , Plum
Markus stuttered a bit when he spoke to her. He was probably nervous, being approached by a third year. "Sounds like we are," she said to him.

Genny was a bit more concerned when she saw Mishra heading toward the entrance. Clearly if he could not wait for Arukab to respond, something more serious was happening. She chose not to worry the first years around her by addressing it. If she focused on the situation, she may have been able to summon a vision through her blocked state. But who knows how accurate or helpful it might be. And in all honesty, she'd rather the professors handle the situation.

She looked over a few seats down to a girl sitting in silence. Her hair was the silver of an old woman, but her face revealed she could be no more than her mid-teen years. She did not seem to belong here. While many things are taught at Nova, one thing is certain, this is primarily a combat school.

"I hope you don't mind my asking," Genny said as she leaned far over toward the girl, "I don't mean to be rude but, how old are you?" She waited for the girl to respond. Half of her expected the girl's presence to be a mistake. Yet, it would take such a long string of mistakes to allow a child in. Instead of making judgments, she waited on her response.

Shakumi turned slowly to look at the girl that had approached her. She didn't look at her face directly, more her figure in general, making it seem like she was staring at the person's general neck area. The girl was quite a lot taller than herself, and yet still shorter than most of the other people, and she wore rather nondescript clothes. Shakumi decided based on her appearance that she was at least a second year. She wasn't able to understand why, but Shakumi felt a certain calmness emitting from her. "umm.." she hesitated. While the elders had taught her a lot of common tongue, it still took her time to translate things, especially when they were said in the overly polite way that the girl was speaking in. "18 years, I think." While she would usually have left the conversation there, she had been told to make friends at the university, as a safety buffer if anything should happen. "Why?"

Jeric-

Jeric looked as if he was about to attack. Cren was on the edge of wanting destroy Grey through his host. He was willing to do it to, but then something came back over Jeric, will power. Then a bloody scream that echoed for about five miles, came from him, "AAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"

Jerics spell was uncast, and he held his head and got on his knees, shouting, "NOOOOO!" He was weakened and having a difficult time controlling what he could do. But then he was back up again and his spell cast once more. Cren was strong this time, wanting revenge for his fellow wraiths, so he cast another spell, "Dark Frost." Jeric's left arm became covered in blizzard. "Now, swordsman, where were we? Oh wait that's right time for you to die" Cren shouted through Jeric as he blasted the dark electricity and blizzard at swordsman.

Grey-

Grey watched Jeric as close as possible, making sure he wouldn't have to be fought. Then a scream came from Jeric, it echoed loudly, extremely loud. Grey covered his ears with his arms at that time. Then he heard it no more, at least until the student shouted the word no.

Something didn't seem right. "Alright then boy, I guess I will have to knock you out" Grey stated, getting in a stance for his sword abilities, "Stone Storm." The black sword soon became surrounded by little rocks to small chunks of stone. Grey then waved his sword in the air and sent them in Jeric's direction. "Waterfall," He stated next as water from the fountain was used as a powerful water jet, was also sent in Jeric's direction as well. This combo could knock out any foe. But as soon as he did that Jeric had sent out his magic as an attack. The spells and abilities collided, causing a magical explosion.

Klalia

Unlike most teachers, Klalia didn't spend too much time in her office, no; she preferred to walk around the forest, to sit outside the Academy and just watch the sky, to visit her classroom once in a while, to do anything but stay put inside her office.

And that's why she had forgotten of the big day.

Klalia knew she had forgotten something extremely important, she was sure of it. The meeting. Today is the day the new, and some old, students arrived at the Academy. And she had absolutely forgot. To her defense, the weather was exquisitely nice, the sun was out, it was warm, and the plants were as vibrant as ever. So she wasn't too upset for having lost the start of the meeting. Also, she has done this for decades, centuries, a little vacation wouldn't hurt anybody. Thus, Klalia walked towards the Hall, knowing that at this time she would be arriving during the feast.

But well, seeing Amberlyn, the Head of the Scholar House, running around was a surprise. Klalia tilted her head to the side, slightly frowning. Why wasn't she at the feast? Surely, the feast was never a boring one. Shouldn't she be enjoying it with the others? The Casted sprinted towards the running woman, not taking too long to catch up on her since they were going to towards each other direction.

"Ms. Amberlyn!" Klalia called, the leaves on her hair bouncing around as she tried to keep up with the other's pace. "Why such hurry? I thought you were going to be enjoying the feast. Is it not to your likings?" Asked the once-spirit in that polite way of hers, internally begging for Amberlyn to slow down because today was not a day to keep running around. Oh, the limitations of the physical body.

Amberlyn saw Klalia trying to catch up with her. Her green skin glinted in the direct sunlight and her leaf-like hair blew around in the breeze. It was not the best time to chat, so when Klalia spoke to her she slowed only to a brisk walk.

Klalia clearly did not know what was happening just outside the feast. She must have been lazing around in nature once again. Amberlyn admired her seemingly carefree attitude. This could only take up a moment of her time, however. There was a rather important task to complete.

"I'm sorry Klalia, I'm in a bit of a rush," she said, "there is a rather serious fight breaking out in front of the main hall. We might need Virgil."

It was then Amberlyn realized that she may have a very useful resource right in front of her. She came to a complete stop.

"Actually, you may be of some use in this. I'm only vaguely knowledgeable about herbology, might you have any powerful healing plants?"

Genevieve Brookes , Plum
18 years old. It seemed impossible. How could this small girl be so old?

Genny had read somewhere that there are races abroad that aged at different rates. She had assumed, however, that their mental capacities would mature at the same rate as their body. Yet, this girl was clearly not a girl, but a woman. She could tell by the way she spoke. It was much more confident than would come from a 13 year old, and there was an intelligence about her.

"It's just that, you look much younger than the minimum age requirement for Nova."

Genny then noticed how she looked peculiar in other ways. Her hair was not bleached so light, it was natural. Her pale skin was nearly translucent, yet it somehow shined color. On closer inspection, her pupils were slit like a feline. Genny was intrigued. She had to learn more about this person, who was so clearly not human. It may have been rude to be so direct, but she would not let this opportunity pass. After all, she lived for knowledge.

"You must not be human, would you mind telling me a bit about your race?"

["Possessed, hmm?" Mishra mused, watching the two boys and tapping a finger against his chin. "That seems too light a term. Looking at him... I'd have to say that it's far more than that... almost...symbiotic... I'd like to get a look around inside of that system."

His other hand fell down to the blade at his waist and he thumbed the guard anxiously. It was a subtle acknowledgement of Amberlyn's request; of course, he had no guarantees - he might just as easily decide to incapacite the caster to tinker with him first. He flicked the blade up as the magic was cast, but his intervention was uneccessary as of yet; the two's attacks had collided and while explosive, caused no real damage.

He was content to let the two continue the fight, mostly because if this was a Wraith as he expected, this would be a good test to see the swordsman in.]
