'Nicknames'

So I had this idea suddenly when I had to ask a friend what their current username on iwaku was because they changed it

Then I suddenly had the lightbulb flash on

So Steam has a feature that lets you put your own 'nickname' to anyone on your friends list, you may or may not be aware of this feature. I suddenly wondered if Iwaku could use something like that(assuming it's even possible), so that users could attach 'nicknames' to people so that when they change usernames it isn't a huge case of 'who the hell are you?'

On the profiles, there's a section called previous names or something similar. It should show all previous names of that person

^^^ What Chizu said! We have that feature precisely for all those people who have chronic needs to change their usernames every week.

Giving our friends nicknames would be really neat, but unfortunately there's not a feature for this on Xenforo or any addon modifications that I can find. O: It's not a popular request for forums, because most forums do not allow username changes at all.
