Aly stood up and looked around, clearly a bit confused. "All I did was walk into my closet. How did I end up here?" She asked, not paying any attention to anyone else.
 
Lady Violetta smiled.
"Sometimes the picture searches for certain qualities and it ends up in the oddest places at time.I suppose it thinks that you have that certain quality. Would you like to tell us your name and a bit yourself?"
 
KAIRI OZAKI
Kairi was staring at her charm bracelet. It was one of the few happy places kairi focused on when she was nervous. Kairi was thrown into a places with strangers, in the most hectic moment in her life. The headmistress wanted what happened to be fellow displaced students to introduce themselves, but Kairi was not in a sharing mindset. Kairi just wanted her mother again. However Kairi was not disrespectful. Against her own wishes she decided to do as the headmistress asked, after someone else of course.
 
Tachibana Kazu
She was flying, that's what it was. She was running from her failure and accidentally fell into the dried up channel. But she wasn't flying, she was falling. As she neared the ground, a single thought was in her mind, Save me, anyone. She hit the ground and disappeared. Before she realized what had happened, she remembered what brought her there.

She was told her father was dying. And shortly afterward, they held the funeral for him. "This was unavoidable, he was too far gone when we found it." That was all the doctor had to say. Her family lived north too far for her to go back to them, and no one would understand her if she had gone back, it was so different speech if she had gone from a southern farming village to a northern city, that, and to many people around Tokyo. After the funeral, which was more of a remembrance than a funeral, she walked toward her home. As the house came into view, she noticed the corner of a flyer sticking out of the mail box.

Its a notice..... saying were losing the house.... She didn't even see the second flyer in her hand as she started running and crying.

She opened her eyes and she was on a grassy hill. "Where....... where am I?" She looked around and noticed other kids around her age, so she repeated what she said in English, They probably don't speak Japanese. Doing more looking around, she saw an adult. Imediatlly she stood and moved toward her. "Do you know where I am?
 
FAYE NORWOOD

In the fray of the new students introducing themselves, another confused child fell in. Faye waved at the young girl to come to them, since Faye did not know if more were on their way. It was just like the headmistress said, it seemed like all the chosen students arrived, but they were still coming. "Welcome to Caldwell Academy. If your not hurt, please come this way. There might be come on their way."
 
"Where in the world am I?", Damian thought while getting up from a tree he sat against. "I swear I was just hanging around, then I saw the picture with the school right in front of me on it, I touched it and now I'm here? Something must have gone wrong today. I must be dreaming! I've played a lot of Maplestory the last few days, till late at night, so that must be the cause. Now, how to test if I'm right?", Damian continued to think. "Hmm... I got it! Let's just go look for someone to talk to and look at my reaction! If I don't feel even a slight bit of nervousness, I must be dreaming! It's quite sad that I know that I can't speak for any worth and get nervous quite easily. So, let's just do this!", were Damian's last thoughts before beginning his search.

"Well, that was search was pointless. Let's look for a sign that can at least tell me what the place is called where I am.", Damian thought well walking around aimlessly. He found the sign he was looking for, at the entrance. "Hmm... Let's see... Caldwell's Academy of Magical Talents. Alright. Wait a sec, 'Magical Talents'? What is meant by that? Talents that look so great they are magical or actual magic, like casting fire in Final Fantasy? This just made this place more interesting! Seeing as I came through a picture hanging on a wall to this place, I'm 99% sure they mean actual magic! Nice! Then, Damian, let's enter this school and hope this isn't a dream!", Damian thought while entering the school.

Tachibana Kazu

Moving to where she was directed, Tachibana tried to make sense of the meaning when she was told others may fall. "Wait..... I'm not the first?" She looked around to see that she was, in fact, not the first person to have the event unfold to her. "How did this happen? All that I remember..." Her voice slipped back to Japanese as she talked under her breath.

Kairi faintly heard a familiar language from the girl that just came. " could it be that you are also from japan?" she asked the girl who was clearly freaking out. " how did you find yourself here?" Kairi had seen with her own eyes that they seemed to be falling from the sky. Kairi guessed that they all were dropped off from a helicopter. " this school must be in a secluded place, what kind of school is this?" Kairi thought to herself.
 
Tachibana Kazu

"Wait," Dropping into Japanese, "You speak Japanese? Thank god there is someone else here.... every time I talk, it takes me longer because I try and put it together correctly so I don't make a fool of myself." She thought for a moment, "Well, I was running from...... well I was running, and near my house there is a channel that has been there for a long time, and I remember that I fell in, and I was falling..... I thought I was going to die!" After that reply, she thought for a moment, then to keep them from secluding anyone, she switched to English, "Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't introduce myself..... I'm Kazu, Tachibana Kazu."

"nice to meet you, my name is Kairi Ozaki" Kairi started to feel less anxious. She took delight in the fact that someone else here could speak her native tongue. Even though Kairi was taught how to speak english just as well as japanese, She loved the way japanese sound. Kairi smiled at the girl, allowing her to relax a bit.

FAYE NORWOOD

"Nice to meet you both. I am Faye Norwood, a teacher here at Caldwell." Faye stated as she introduced herself "I arrived here just about the same way you did." Faye shuffled her feet. She was glad that she chose a comfortable pair for today. In the corner of her eye she could a figure go into the school. turning around, Faye adressed the Headmisstress. " Are there anymore staff here right now?"

Matthew looked around the area at all the people who had gathered around at this point and listened to the conversations. As he waited for something other than an introduction to an academy but he guessed they where waited for others to fall, "Lady Violetta, are we waiting for anyothers to fall?" He asked.
 
"I think that we might be all but nothing is absolute. Let's go inside and start the Orientation. Please follow me.
I have a cooking staff and housekeeping staff will keep public rooms clean. All Staff and Students are required to keep their own rooms clean." Lady Violetta spoke as she walked up to the door that swung open for her.

"These are the Grand Doors of the Academy. They are Sentient. Thank you Grand Doors."

Mystique followed everyone to the doors and wondered just what she got herself into this time. She held onto her satchel tightly as she walked.

"This is the main floor and the front offices. My office is the first one and the second one is for the Draconic Teacher, Faye Norwood. There is the infirmary just in case someone happens to get ill. The doors are sliding doors and will only open for students and staff.

This next area is the Dining Room and Student Lounge. The hall to the left is the Independent Hall. We want to go to the Classroom Hall through this door. To the far end of the hall is the Magic Lab, two classrooms and the Lecture Room where we shall be having a lecture as soon as everyone finds a seat in the front two rows." Lady Violetta spoke as she walked up to a podium.

Kairi followed the woman into the school. She heard the Headmistress address the grand door, and then it all hit her. " They introduced this place as an academy for MAGIC ARTS, Is that what all of this is? magic? and what is draconic arts? It sounds like it has something to do with dragons.... so either im in a far away planet that has magic or im dead. Right my crazy stepmother probably killed me." She thought to herself. Kairi was mentally kicking herself for confronting her father so stupidly. "Im done crying over this. Whatever the case maybe, I am finally away from that horrible man. How could he do this to his family?" Kairi was getting angry, so she pushed all of her problems to the side and listen to what seem to be a tour. The school was beautiful, in a timeless castle kind of way. As she looked around, she saw the student lounge and Independence hall. Once again she heard the word "magic" when the Headmistress was directing them to the lab and lecture room. "This must be the official orientation for us. I need to pay attention so i can really know what is going on." Kairi picked a seat in the first row.

FAYE NORWOOD

Faye followed everyone inside for her second tour of the school. It was really sinking in that she was not going to see her clinic anymore. Her horse was not going to be brushed by her, or that the animals at the local ZOO was going to go on without her. Then again the whole reason why she left was her husband. That thought was going to bring her to tears, so she focused on something else. The comment about both the student and staff keeping their rooms clean made her smile again. Her aunt use to hound her about keeping a clean room ,she too would never see Faye again. However there was something Faye could feel herself growing goosebumps over, and that was the dragons she would get to meet. Faye had even chose a personal dragon as her pet, since she wanted to immerse herself in her new work. Plus, her gift to communicate with animals might have transferred over to this world. Faye was now really looking forward to the school year and her new life. Upon reaching the Lecture room, Faye found herself a seat in the second row, since this was her orientation as well.
 
Tachibana Kazu
Tachibana decided that her best chance to meet someone she could speak to freely would be if she stayed with Ozaki-san, which is exactly what she did. Throughout all of the rooms, she noted that she was hearing magic. Dropping into the seat next to Ozaki-san, she turned and dropped into Japanese. "Ozaki-san, did I hear correctly..... did she say magic? Like spells and incantations? What do you think it means? My parents were only average, and didn't believe in magic...." She stated to get a bit worried, so she kept droning on like she normally would do in this scenario.
 
KAIRI OZAKI

Kairi saw Kazu sit next to her, and was immediately relieved. She was familiar, even if the one thing she knew about her was that she shared a common language, it was more enough to let her wall down. As Kazu was talking to her in Japanese, she could sense her anxiety, which was understandable. " Yeah, I think we are about to have our minds blown. Every knows that magic does not exist, yet the school's headmistress claims it to be. Either she is crazy and we are all in a secluded school on earth run by mad scientist and wealthy politicians, or we have to open our minds to the information she is about to tell us." Kairi whispered to her in Japanese. She smiled weakly at Kazu, trying to claim her down. "Tachibana-san, it cant do us any good to be so worried. If they wanted to hurt us, they would by now. Let see what they have to say first." Kairi was trying to calm her new acquaintance, but she couldn't keep her own worries at bay. Kairi started to play with her charm bracelet again.
 
"Again, welcome to Caldwell's Academy of Magical Talent. You are few students who are strong enough to make it through the Picture. You have a magic core that can make you great Wizards and even Mages in the future. Your Magic Core will be your main tool in this Academy. There are other tools that you will learn to use as well.
You will become interesting people who will travel this new world and explore the other land masses. A few will stay home and be part of The Academy Island. I will need a Governor and an Archives Specialist to help me with my job. There will be more jobs as more students show up.
Any questions so far?" Lady Violetta asked.


Mystique was sitting in the front row so that she could see what ever Lady Violetta was going to do and yet she was in a chair close to the door in case she had to run. She heard talk about magic and draconic arts, neither of which she knew a thing about and that made her nervous to the point of being jumpy.

As Mystique listened to the lecture, she decided that she had fallen and hit her head on something that knocked her out. She would have to wait until she was missed to wake up.
 
Matthew walked along with the group looking at the large castle that was their Academy of Magic, he knew the concept but never thought it would have existed and why did he get chosen. He guessed questions were going to be answered later so for now he waited to ask questions. Walking he took note of the offices, infirmary, student lounge, dining area and other such areas as he would need them later. As they entered the room Matthew sat down and waited for the presentation.

The head master went on about everyone here has some kind of magical core that few people have but it did make sense with how few people there are. When Matthew heard her ask for questions he asked, "What happens at home, are we called missing, do our parents know, does time stop or is there a clone of us?"
 
"Hmm? There is a group of people walking around there. Let's just listen... Ah, I think it's a tour around this school! I'm gonna just casually gonna join the group.", Damian thought while wandering around the school. He listened to what the lady in the front had to say. The whole group eventually stopped at what the woman in the front called ´the Lecture Room´ and they went inside. Damian took a seat, kind of separated from the rest. She gave a lecture about how the students sitting in there were going to be Wizards and how they had Magic Cores. Damian thought as he was listening to the lecture: "Wait, what? Okay, brain, I know you like messing with me, but letting me believe I'm actually going to be able to cast magic is ridiculous even for your standards. This is a really good looking building and everything is oddly, but nicely, detailed, like you normally do, brain. Come on, don't toy with me like this! You know I want this to happen so bad, this is just plain mean. Just wake me up, it won't be too bad if this now turned out to be a dream. Just stop toying with me!"

"Actually, I do not know..... But you won't be going back to Earth again. It is a one way passage. At least at the moment it is. I know that this is very confusing to all of you but I can guarantee that you can do magic. I shall prove it to you in various classes that you will be taking. Now let's get to the next part of the lecture if there are no other questions......" Lady Violetta looked around the room and did not see anyone put their hand up.

"I want to speak a bit on Magic and its uses. I want each of you to listen to this carefully.
Magic is a tool that can be used for good or evil or anywhere in between. The magic user must be aware of what he or she is doing and why. There are consequences to using magic. Consequences can be devastating if the magic user is not aware of all of the effects of the magic that is being used.
The magic user is only as strong as his or her body's endurance of the physical and mental abilities.
  1. A) Physical Strength.
The magic user is only as strong as his or herself. Magic takes a lot of stamina to do and the body will be drained constantly when the person uses magic.
  1. B) Mental Strength.
The magic user must be able to concentrate well, visualize well and think clearly as well as quickly. To do this we need to meditate and do mental exercises to make the mind stronger. Meditation is crucial to one's mental ability. This is the way one learns how to concentrate, block out unwanted noises, keep the mind clear of intrusions and to imagine the impossible.
Knowledge.
The magic user must be able not only use magic but know the 3 parts of magic.
1) What is the first part. The magic user must know and understand what he or she wants to do with his or her magic.
2) Next come How. The magic user must know each step of the magic well enough to actually be able to visualize the magic being done in each step until it becomes as simple and routine as breathing.
3) When is the last part. To cast magic the magic user must know when each step should take place.

An example of this is putting your shoes on.
What would be the need to put on shoes to protect your feet from anything that would do them harm or make them uncomfortable, ect.
When would be like when you leave to go outside not before going to bed.
How would be putting them on your feet before tying them and to have the socks on before you put the shoes."
Lady Violetta puts on a pair of gloves and picked up a set of boxes and passed one out to each person.

"This is the equipment that you will receive.
Each person will be given robes to protect themselves while in class. The robes are of the magical sort and will stay clean. The equipment belt is issued to each of you. Each belt will have two pouches and two slender tubes. One pouch will be used for your own snacks and the other one will be for snacks for your pet. One sleeve will be used for your wand and the other one will be a guide stick for your pet.

The next box you may open at lunch break. It contains a cell phone. Each box has a room number on it and that is your room number. To record the number of friends, you simply put the heads of the phones together and instantly the phones exchange numbers.

Your next two lessons should be fun ones. Each of you will receive a Personal Laptop System or PLTs. Your Personal Laptop System or PLTs will be a valuable tool.
You will have an independent study to fulfill called Mythical Creatures. And you will pick out your very own baby pet to study and care for.
Before anyone asks- NO. No you cannot use it to talk to anyone on Earth because it will not reach that far. We are in a different Solar System than the Milky Way."
*Hands out boxes with gloved hands*
"DO not pick up these boxes until you are told. They are super sensitive to touch. In fact, believe it or not, these LTPs are sentient. That means that it can think and feel on its own. I want to have you to be the first ones to touch them barehanded and imprint your aura on your own laptop. After your initial Imprintation, the PLTs will only work for you.
Now that each of you have a box, you may open the box carefully and do not drop it.
The case is opened from the front like so. When it is open, you will see the screen, the keyboard, and some new features. Keep the protective sheets on the areas when they are not being use will make your PLTs working at its peak. For the moment, please remove the two handprint sheets then place your hands on those two pads like the picture that was on there. Leave your hands on the pads so that the PLTs will register your unique Aura. After that is properly done, your PLTs will only allow you to enter information on it. You will know that it is done because it will begin to ask you a series of questions starting with your name, age, gender, the number on your cell phone, likes and dislikes.
I will wait until everyone has imprinted the PLTs and filled out the questions." Lady Violetta spoke to the class and she waited to see if there were any questions.
