New site maintenance policies: Thread archival and NSFW

Same policy. Linking to prohibited material is treated the same as embedding it. For questionable material, it is up to you to include a warning (equivalent to a spoiler) but if it's reported you'll be asked to add a warning.

Thanks! Back to the hole.

So, I'm a bit confused. So like no hentai images would be allowed even in the redstar characters and forums?

Intercourse of any kind, masturbation, erections, sexual fluids, and etc. in artwork are not allowed in Star sections. They were not even before this announcement. >___>

Nudity (as long as it's drawn) and sexually suggestive images will now be allowed in the Star sections without having to be under warnings or spoilers.

I'm so glad you've extended the grace period for archiving posts. I'm a very slow player for my onexones, and it stresses me out thinking of my threads being archived or having to post when I'm not ready to keep it from going to the graveyard. No idea why the thought of having it archived makes me so anxious when I can just request to have it taken out. :<

Plzno. *sob*

And for serious questions: Does this in any way pertain to violence? Cause I've seen some avatars that...man. Shudder. I mean... I know y'all don't want censorship, but I'm pretty sure decapitated bloody neckstumps and intensely gorey zombies classify as NSFW too...

Also... The prepubescent sexually suggestive thing? Does this include those girls/boys-posing-suggestively-while-looking-like-children anime pics. Like... Skirts blowing up/pin-up poses etc? Gives me brain lice, those pictures.

This anxiety is pretty common, which is why we decided to extend it!

Dammit, I knew I was forgetting something. Gore is not USUALLY the problem, although we have had a couple fiascos like cats in blenders. *Grimaces* Yes, we do rarely enforce this with gore or things like drug use. For clarity's sake, I'll get this written up...

Avatars and signatures may not contain any of the following:

- Violent death or mortal injury of a human or animal.

- Photographs/photorealistic artwork depicting graphic gore or decay of human or animal corpses.

- Large amounts of blood/gore.

- Drug paraphernalia such as bongs. Visible drug use.

When posting to the site including the Star sections, images containing violent imagery and drug use are allowed, but use of spoilers and/or clear warnings (e.g., in the title of a thread or as a thumbnail in the Gallery) is advised for anything that is judged questionable by the poster. All members reserve the right to report an image they personally find questionable. If the reported image does not comply with standards for avatars and signatures, the poster will be required to use spoilers, a thumbnail, or a warning.

I'll edit this into the first post shortly.

And for @Snowball and others who might want to know:

Written discussion of violence, illegal drug use, and other illegal activities is allowed except for discussion that aids in committing illegal acts, such as disclosure of where to obtain illegal drugs or sharing of pirating resources/illegitimate streaming sites, or indicates premeditated and explicit intent to commit violence on others or oneself (threats of assault, murder, suicide, and self-harm). This does not apply to roleplays or works of fiction, only to out of character discussion.

Also... The prepubescent sexually suggestive thing? Does this include those girls/boys-posing-suggestively-while-looking-like-children anime pics. Like... Skirts blowing up/pin-up poses etc? Gives me brain lice, those pictures.
Yes. If the character cannot pass as at least thirteen (have to give some leeway, thanks to anime and the fact that baby faces and small breasts do exist) and the image is sexually suggestive, it is prohibited to post anywhere on the site.

Obviously, nude or sexual photographs of anyone under 18 is illegal child pornography. So is explicit sexual artwork of prepubescent characters. Your instant Iwaku ban will be the least of your problems if you post either of these.

Violent death or mortal injury of a human or animal.
Sooo...

We're just not going to care about plant gore? Bacteria/protist gore? Fungal gore?

In protest, whenever capable, I will change my avatar to woodcutting.

Thank you for the clarification! I am a seriously dense person about these things, so I needed it.

Waaaaaaait....

*Looks at his current avatar*

My current Avatar is just me being a derp with my cellphone.
But, you could argue this is the "Looking down on a blowjob" look.

If Banana sucking is too suggestive? Is this?

KKK avatars or a giant swastika.

But... What about Hellsing? o_o

(Timestamp 12:18)
(There's no need for a timestamp for Swastikas though. They're spread all over... 6:25 for more laughs though)

Come on guys.

2. All images have to be held to the same standards as avatars and signatures. Welcome to Disney Town.

Ok dude, it's Disney Land, or Disney World.
There is no Disney Town.
Get out of here with that shit.

(Nude or sexual photographs of anyone under 18 is illegal child pornography. So is explicit sexual artwork of prepubescent characters. Posting either of these is an instant ban and you will be reported to authorities.)

The fact you bold photographs seems to suggest this is in regards to real porn, not hentai.
But now I'm curious.

What if someone had age trap hentai (as in, the whole "Looks old but is actually young" shit). And then took a photo of it, and uploaded it?
Would it then count, cause it's now a photo?

it is up to you as users to determine where is the most sensible place

From what I understand of the humanity anatomy...
The legs, arm pits and neck all tend to be very sensitive areas. ;)

use of spoilers

In the leaked 4th episode of Game of Thrones Dany and Jon hook up.
And during said hook up Jon Snow dies via orgasm.
He couldn't handle riding the dragon.

Violent death or mortal injury of a human or animal.

Since this isn't an avatar of signature... What about this?

sharing of pirating resources/

Can we make this an exception?

No, although I understand why you might think people wouldn't want to see it.

This isn't in an avatar, but yeah, we've actually asked people to remove Nazi catboy avatars.

You misunderstand the point of the bolding, which is applying to actual people under 18. Artwork of characters that may be under 18 is not prohibited because the ages of illustrations are often ambiguous and there's no way to verify how old characters are in the majority of artwork.

BUT, in the very same paragraph it's specified that prepubescent bodies of any kind (including age trap hentai) are not allowed. If they look like they're at least teenagers it's fine as long as it's drawn, but no children.

It's not an avatar or signature, so it's fine unless it gets reported and then we'd ask you to put a spoiler/warning on it.

Can we make this an exception?
Absolutely.
