Lauren wasn't an evil vampire, who just went around killing people and drinking their blood for fun, and the pure joy of it. Those were the kind of vampires her parents were. But she genuinely liked humans. And not just their blood. When she met Xian, she was not thinking about the fact that he had delicious blood running through his veins. She was thinking about how good of friends they could be one day. At the young age of 15, she had already covered up any evidence that she was a vampire. She wore a huge metal retainer over her mouth, so no one would notice her fangs. Her long black hair she pulled back into a ponytail, because, otherwise, she really looked like all the other vampire girls, and she didn't want that. Mirrors. Well everyone knows that vampires cannot see their own reflection. So when she used the restroom at school, she would wait until everyone was gone, so when she walked by the mirrors, they wouldn't notice her missing reflection. "You're skin is really pale," she had been told by one girl on hr first day. She hadn't thought people would notice that. She had to come up with something fast. "Um... yeah.. I have a skin condition where I can't go out in thee sunlight for more than 5 minutes at a time." To Lauren's surprise, the girl bought her story. It turned out she was going to fit in better than she had thought.
