Bio- Ágrypno was once a low altitude city near a forest. The city was known for it's large supply of wood. A city close by was at a shortage of wood and needed more. The city sent an army over to 'collect' wood. 'Collect' in this term means burning all the houses down and stealing all the wood. The leftover people took a long trek up the mount where they settled down again and made a new city, this one called Ágrypno, meaning Watchful.

Brief description of the people- The people are going well. They are taught to mine within the mountain and sell the minerals and gems to other countries. With that money they buy crops and other food. The people are also called the watchers. They overlook the land.

National colour(s)- Purple, Yellow

Unique laws/policies- At the age of 12. Kids have a choice of which path they want to go. The mining path or the army path. Majority of the kids choose the mining path and learn how handle a pickaxe. While the kids in the army path learn how to use a short sword and a crossbow.

Specialties-
Mining minerals
- Ágrypno practically lives on a mineral. Once a pickaxe breaks into rock, at least one mineral or gem are found.
Long range battle
- When engaged in battle, they prefer to use their large ballistas and crossbows to shoot down enemies.
High altitude city
- Since the city is so high up, it makes the city hard to conquer.

Disadvantages-
Aren't too good at head to head combat
Can't reach the bottom of the mountain easily.
- It takes the people of Ágrypno a long time to reach bottom of the mountain.
Don't like combat
- Ágrypno is a relatively peaceful city. When presented with battle, they would manage to squirm out of it. With a slight shortage of supplies afterward.

Standard hoptile description- The Ágrypno army have a painted yellow, wooden crossbow slung over their back before to conflict. They start out with the crossbow and then change to a short sword when enemy gets closer. Ágrypno armour is a purple helmet and a purple chest plate. They don't make armour for the arms and legs due to how much muscle has built up, so they don't really care when their arm or leg get chopped off. They never really feel it.

National specialty- Mining. Wild guess.

Parton God- Zeus. Because why not.

Other- They play a card game called 'Ancient Grease'.

No explosives, longswords, crossbows, and the mining must be done by slaves, not citizens

Accepted! Hoplites are a standard greek infantry type. They are equipped with a short sword, shield and spear. You are allowed to have other military units, and you are allowed to make minor changes to your hoplites

I'm definitely interested! But I was wondering, do we use Greek strategies or can we use other methods?

You should use Greek strategies, but you can have other strategies/formations as long as they aren't too far-fetched for ancient Greek times

-Polis name: Bravaria

-Brief bio: Bravaria is a prosperous city. It was given the advantage of being built on the penisula, thus armies had only one way of attacking unless they had a strong navy. They were paranoid of being attacked by the other nations for the tactical stand point so, over the years they began building "The Great Wall". The construction took about 900 years to complete. Its still being modified and taller. The workers of the wall have to be brave since they have very high risks of dying. But they do this voluntarily, we keep no slaves. We have a democratic system. There are 12 kings, each elected every 10 years and they all have a council to discuss the land.

-Brief description of the people: The nation is overly populated. 30% of the population are Mongol immigrants who fled here after their landwas taken. They taught us our fighting techniques and agricultural ones, they are highly respected. The other 70% are greek. About 45% of the population are soldiers. Woman and Men both can be soldiers oncde they are 20 but a majority of soldiers are men. 40% of the population are farmers, most women. The rest are workers in construction and guarding the wall. The Mongolian population do each equally. The population is said to have more then 15 million people.

Very good CS! You haven't read the rules, though, so there is something missing

Clever, you have the Greek word for rock in the name.

NPC CITY-STATES (NOT ALL OF THEM, MORE TO COME)

-Polis name: Ischÿs

-Brief bio: Ischys was the original power and city state in New Greece. It used to rule over all the city states, however, the minor Polis's threatened rebellion, so Ischys left them be, only because they couldn't face everyone. Currently, Ischys is very powerful, in both naval and land armies. It's territory is much larger than most, and it regularly bullies small city-states with any excuse. They also have one polis that is still under their rule. The city itself is huge, along eith the population, dwarfing most city-states.

-Brief description of the people: The citizens are upstart, pompous and downright rude. The flow of citizens choosing different careers is mildly even, astonishing considering the size of their armies.

-Coat of arms/Insignia/Flag:

-National colour: Blue, yellow and white.

-Unique laws/policies:
All males must be given an adequate education until 15 years of age.

-Specialties: Huge army, huge navy, Increased population

-Disadvantages: Hated among city-states, little to no allies, easily corrupted citizens and government.

-Standard Hoplite description: Standard hoplite figure and armour, however armour is painted randomly with national colours.

-Location on map:

-National Specialty: Huge military

-Patron god: Zeus
