New Girl Here

  1. Hi, I'm really excited and hope to find some great people to rp with here~

What do you prefer to be called? You can call me Deathie or Diane.
Boy, girl, or a mystery? I would identify as female.
How old are you? 22, I can hardly believe it.
Are you new to the site but not to roleplaying? I've been at this since around 14, very exciting!
Do you like group RPs or just a single partner? I do prefer group RPs but single partners can be nice if we can both keep interest.
Do you like stomping on crunchy leaves? I like stomping on crunchy pinecones better, haha!
SING IT OUT LOUD! What song is tormenting your mind? I'm not sure what that means but most songs don't cause me torment.

  2. Welcome to Iwaku fellow newcomer! I have enjoyed my stay here and I hope it will be for you also :) Also glad to see you been an avid role-player for a while now. I myself am rekindling my interest in it after so long of not being a part of it.
  3. I stopped for a while here and there and then met back up with friends I made in the past and we wrote together. This is my first time in a while joining and being part of a forum. I really hope to make some writer buddies, haha.
  4. I'm sure you'd feel right at home. Best wishes to you! Also quite the nice RP resume. You'd have no problem at all :)
  5. Welcome to Iwaku. Personally, I've always preferred stepping on crunchy skulls, but that's not really relevant.

Anyway, welcome to the site. If you need anything, drop me a line, and I'll see what I can do.
  6. Haha I like your humour :)

I was wondering - where is the best place to post a... looking thread? To write down your plot bunnies and what you're looking for. Or where to find where these are located. I was looking around but I couldn't find any threads like this? I know I am terrible at looking for things in websites so I might just be skipping over it.

Or simply how is the best way to get to meet people and start rping I feel a little isolated :(
  7. What you want is the Roleplay Talk section. Just post your plot bunny here, and see if anyone takes the bait.
If you want a complete list of RPs, go for the Global Signups and Plot List. You'll find every RP going in there, as long as it has an OOC thread.
Alternatively, you could go for one of the more specialised areas. You've got your Fantasy, you've got your Realistic (despite creative liberties taken), and there's SciFi. For anything that doesn't quite fit anywhere else, we've got a Miscellaneous section.
If you want to go for a One-on-One RP, head on over to the One-x-One section.

I think that just about covers it. Holler if you need anything else.
  8. Welcome to Iwaku, Deathie! I like that name.
  9. Hi Diane! I'm Diana! 8D Welcome to our community. I'll prolly call you Deathie, or I will confuse myself. >>
  10. Thanks for the welcome guys!

And I think I understand where to post my things, thanks for the explanation Laggy!
  11. Hey Deathie. I see you're new(ish) here, and I haven't been browsing the new arrivals forum much as I feel I should. So let me extend to you a welcome. :3 Amusingly, this is another great way to find people who share your interests, and are looking to roleplay. That same isolated feeling? I think everyone who didn't already know someone here felt that once, and lurking around the new arrivals for people looking to roleplay is fantastic. It gets you stories, and it shows them that we're friendly, and engaging. And the people here really are pretty fantastic.

All that being said, and my talking without saying much being done, if you're ever in the mood for a roleplay, hit me up. I would certainly welcome having someone new to write with. :3 I'm sure between the two of us, we can hammer something out plotwise. I find another way to keep everything in one place, unless you have it set for a different use, is to pop characters and plots into your blog as they come to you. I haven't done as much as I would like, and as such I'm behind on a few characters and settings, but have a look, see if anything interests you, or even if it gives you a totally different idea.
  12. Welcome to Iwaku!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
  13. Hey thanks Augesdal :)

What do you mean by pop characters into your blog? Normally I just make a unique character for each new rp I join. Haha, I guess that is not the regular approach. Though I think I will get started on making a looking for thread in the section Laggy recommended and then maybe I'll hit you up with a pm. I see you're from Canada too so Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for the welcome as well Yami :D

When I have characters I have plans for, or am interested in using, perhaps even more than once, or when I can't attach a plot to a character, or a character to a plot, I put things there, and then people can peruse, see what they like, and then put pieces together with me, help me flesh my ideas out if they're interested. :p
