Bohemian Rhapsody is out. My youngest daughter hates the song......but considering her musical tastes, that's not really saying much. Never has an apple fallen so far from the tree.

The fact it shows up in every movie where somebody is shown in a car ever, no contest, it gets fucking old fast. It's the laziest soundtrack choice of all time. Ever.

I'd probably recommend most anything by Great Big Sea, it was one of those bands my parents listened to when I was growing up and it's pretty good for families for the most part. I remember it a lot on road trips, so it's context appropriate.
