I'm really bad at BBCode it's time to cry while I try to make stuff look vaguely presentable.
Also probably post some character stuff here. This is a nightmare.

    Character: Szaifudrus [Link Here For Now]
    Genres: Fantasy, 'Beauty & the Beast-esque, Monster Boyfriend, Romance, MxF (preferably, can be MxM), Possible Mature Themes / Insinuations

    BACKGROUND
    Once, there was a kingdom, crumbling from years of war and neglect from their gods who bickered and fought amongst each other. The newly anointed king, fearful for the well-being of his people, sought out along-forgotten god in hopes he could help the kingdom. The god, shunned by his peers, offered the king a power greater then any mortal had before: true magic. The king accepted, and agreed to the god's two rules: one, the king was not to teach anyone else his powers; it was his and his alone to use. And two, the god was to be their sole patron, to replace the gods that cast him aside who were too busy fighting with one another to tend to their masses.

    They were easy enough rules to follow, and the kingdom thrived under their new king's rule and power. Crops flourished, the sick were healed, but this wasn't enough for the king. He couldn't help but to teach others how to create miracles of calling the rain, starting fires, mending the wounded, even if he promised the god that he would not. What sort of king would he be if he did not do what was best for his people, to offer them their best chances at living?

    The god was angered, but he did not need to do much. People began to realize what this new power could do, and people wanted more. People sought the king's secrets and turned his magic to destruction, and soon the kingdom began to crumble. As the king watched his beloved kingdom burn around him, the god turned him into a monster as punishment for breaking his promise. The god then imprisoned the once-king inside a labyrinth made of the burned remains of all that he loved; a eternal reminder for what he'd done.

    Since, the labyrinth has become a drawing point for wizards wishing to further their understanding of the magical arts, sending others in to delve the labyrinth if they aren't mad enough to look themselves.

    PLOT IDEAS
    • The king is angry. Those who have lived around the labyrinth know there is only one solution: a sacrifice. A unsuspecting wizard on visit to the fabled maze is taken captive by the local town and offered up to Szaifudrus in hopes of quelling his anger. Their escape only lands them further into the maze, leaving a less angered monster as their only hopes of escape or respite.
    • A curious individual, wizard or labyrinth delver, has been making it far enough into the labyrinth to catch glimpses of the fabled monster... meaning the fabled monster has been catching glimpses of them. This piques the old king's interest in someone skilled and smart enough to get that far.
    Character: Eiylsweir [Link Here For Now]
    Genres: Fantasy or Fantasy-Modern, Monster Boyfriend, Romance, MxF (preferably, can be MxM)

    BACKGROUND
    Eiylsweir was once a god of great power. A overconfident and prideful god, Eiylsweir took his position as a birth right and gave little worry about any who might challenge him. He basked in the glory of thousands of followers who sang him praise, and did not fear the other gods. He had a habit of making bets with mortals and greater powers alike, confident that they would always work out for him due to his power.

    Inevitably, it would backfire on him. A envious rival turned Eiylsweir's confidence and habit on him, dragging the once great god to nothing more then a shell of his former self. They stomped out his followers and burned his very name from history, leaving Eiylsweir as a shadow of the former god he used to be. He no longer recalls his previous domain or his name, and spends much of his time trying to solve the bets and deals that still continue to haunt him.

    PLOT IDEAS
    • A unfortunate individual has crossed the wrong god - unknowingly (or knowingly), they find themselves inches from being smited into oblivion for whatever the crime was. Alas, Eiylsweir was watching, and at the last second he steps in and offers the individual a pact - Eiylsweir will spare them a agonizing death at the other god's hands, in return for being his consort. Eiylsweir has bets to pay off, and believes the deal would be mutually beneficial. Probably.
    • A individual stumbles across the battered and mangled corpse of Eiylsweir, caught in an attack by someone who's bet he could not win nor pay. They take him in like a injured animal.
    • Some flavor of monster hunter has chased Eiylsweir into a corner, or has been sent to slay him. Eiylsweir is far from ready to give up his existence.

King Szaifudrus
<<-|--I'll reach for you and remember
It was just a paper, just a paper cut--|->>

[fieldbox=BASIC INFORMATION]
Name: Szaifudrus, Progenitor of Mortal Magic
Age: Old
Species: Monster; Was a human
Gender: Male
Height: ~15 feet when straightened out, ~8-9 when hunched over, including antlers.
[/fieldbox]

[fieldbox=PERSONALITY]
<<-|-- Wise || Calm || Patient || Scholarly --|->>
<<-|-- Hesitant || Distrusting || Pessimist --|->>

Szaifudrus keeps himself calm and collected. Meticulous and wise, he is in no rush to get things done, and prefers taking things at a slow pace if at all possible. His time confined in the labyrinth has left him a little socially awkward, though he doesn't mean it. He does his best to understand what the most up-do-date things are, but he tends to come across as a little outdated anyways. Szaifudrus is patient and a eager teacher, a trait that wound him up in his current predicament in the first place. Despite millennia of studying and the legends surrounding him, Szaifudrus tries not to come across as arrogant or cocky. He is fully aware that someday, he will be outmatched, and humility is a virtue few in power ever remember to hold.

Years of manipulation and trauma has left Szaifudrus hesitant though of others. He is quick to distrust others if they show any possible malicious intent, or what he might misconstrue as such. While he generally remains cordial and humble, Szaifudrus retains a default feeling of mistrust to everyone around him. He is fearful to make lasting relationships, as he knows they will doubtfully end well.

Szaifudrus regrets deeply what he brought on his kingdom and his past foolishness, and has done many things against his will haunt him. He believes everything he is involved with will inevitably turn to tragedy, even if it isn't what he wants. If he does not ruin it himself, Emrul will make sure he does. [/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=BACKGROUND]
Szaifudrus was born the second son to the king of a beaten and bloody kingdom. Despite their victories, years of war had reduced the kingdom to a shadow of its former self, with power extending far beyond what they could really help or control. Szaifudrus's older brother met a early death on the battlefield, leaving Szaifudrus the heir to the throne when his father ultimately passed from battle-inflicted infections.

And so a young Szaifudrus was given the throne at the age of 17. He was left with the task of cleaning up his father's mess and picking up the ruins of a once flourishing kingdom that was now on the verge of pulling itself apart at the seams. Their gods did not answer their prayers; the gods were too busy fighting amongst themselves for power and favor to even notice that they were losing their worshipers. For years, Szaifudrus struggled to patch back together his country, but he did not feel like he was doing enough. Frustrated and at a loss, Szaifudrus turned to books of old that he had dug up in the castle library. He found whispering of a forgotten god, one shunned and tossed aside by his kin for what they feared he could do to mortals. Szaifudrus was intrigued. Intrigue turned into obsession.

But legends weren't just legends, and Szaifudrus sought and found the god the dusty tomes spoke of. Emrul Yœko was a ancient god with the power to warp the very world around him. Szaifudrus begged him to help his people, as he was at a loss as to what he could to in time to save them from certain self-destruction. Emurl was amused by the king's plead, and flattered to have been sought out after years of being forgotten. He offered the king a deal: he would impart on Szaifudrus the power of the gods themselves, the power to bend the world around him to his will, to summon fire with a thought, to mend skin together like pinching clay, to call up the earth into mountains if he so desired. In return, Szaifudrus had to promise Emrul two things. First, Szaifudrus would not give such knowledge to anyone else. The magic was his and his alone, as Emrul deemed it to be. And second, Emurl was to become their sole patron. It would be through him that mortals would know magic, and he would finally seize his rightful place at the top of the pantheon again.

Szaifudrus eagerly agreed to the terms. They felt fair in the king's mind, easy enough things that to promise them in exchange for what seemed like unlimited power was ludicrous. Szaifudrus returned to his kingdom with great power to bear, and though initially his people feared him the gentle king quickly showed them the good it could bring to their lives. Szaifudrus brought rain to drought-ridden crops, healed those with deathly illnesses, created bridges of land to cross roaring rivers and flattened roads between impassable mountains. Each day, Szaifudrus remembered his promises to Emrul. Each day, he focused on the betterment of the kingdom. There would be time to truly place a new god into their pantheon. And why should he be the only one to have such great powers? He was a king, but it was the people who deserved it the most. A good king did what was best for his people, and Szaifudrus felt that he would be a unfair and greedy king to keep the power for himself. At first, he simply taught a old farmer how to call the rain to his aid at his will. Then, a priestess how to heal. Slowly, more and more learned of his powers, the Words that twisted the world around them to their whims. People passed it to one another, and people began to wonder the full extent of these new-found god powers.

Emrul seethed at Szaifudrus's broken promises. It was supposed to be his right to teach the mortals, so that they would all worship him in stead of his brethren. Szaifudrus had promised that he would not tell anyone, but instead the king had given out the knowledge freely to even the lowliest of paupers. Emrul schemed and plotted on his revenge against the mortal king, but he found that truly he did not need to do anything. The king had already sewn the seeds of chaos with his own hands, and little would punish the man as much as the deed he had done himself. For some time, the kingdom thrived. Szaifudrus married, and sired a son and two daughters. But people sought for the power their king wielded. They sought for more then simple drizzles and parlor tricks; they desired the power to shatter armies, to sunder castles, to bring kingdoms to their knees. People began to use their magic to steal, to murder. Szaifudrus sternly tried to crack down on such crimes, but they rapidly grew out of his control. Soon, the kingdom had returned to chaos as magic ran rampant, tearing families apart, reducing homes to rubble, turning family against each other.

Emrul merely had to stoke the flames of madness until the full kingdom burned in a riot of chaos and power. Szaifudrus could do little but look on in horror as people killed each other in the street, and many more struggled to reach him. As Szaifudrus hid in his throne room, Emrul came to him.

As a final punishment, Emrul turned the king into a monster and set him upon his wife and children, then the remains of his people. As Szaifudrus sat in the smoldering ashes of his kingdom, Emrul built a labyrinth to surround him made of the burnt and twisted stone of all that he had known, trapping him inside the mockery of his home for all eternity.

Since, Szaifudrus has spend millennia hidden in the labyrinth, unable to escape its walls. While he can warp it to his will, the further he nears the edges the less it listens to him and the more it will attempt to reroute him back to its heart. Szaifudrus fears those who wish to find him inside, assuming that their wish for knowledge will only bring suffering and destruction to others.Szaifudrus owns a study in which he keeps his findings, locked behind walls of his own in a tiny garden oasis at the shifting maze's heart.[/fieldbox]

[fieldbox=EXTRA]
  • The runes coating Szaifudrus's skin are grey by default, like some sort of tattoo. Through these, Emrul is able to seize control of Szaifudrus, causing them to shift and glow red-orange. Emrul uses this to remind Szaifudrus who is in control, and usually leads Szaifudrus on rampages or forces him to commit atrocities against his will.

Though he's a mere shadow of what he used to be, Eiylsweir is fiercely prideful and arrogant. He still believes himself to be a true force to be reckoned with and to be worshiped, even if he's a fragile shell of his former glory. He can be greedy and needy, demanding a lot for little. Things that can even remotely be considered his he hoards close, though he is quick to flee if he believes his existence is in jeopardy. He is quick to try to make bets to protect himself, even though they inevitably backfire.

He clings to those who pay him any mind, and those willing to give him time will find a fiercely loyal companion under his faults and his arrogance... so as long as he does not catch them around others. He is quick to lavish anyone he might consider a worshiper in treasure he's hoarded to garner their affection and attention, and is prone to vicious jealousy if their attention is given to anyone but him.
[/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=BACKGROUND]
Eiylsweir was once a god of great power. A overconfident and prideful god, Eiylsweir took his position as a birth right and gave little worry about any who might challenge him. [fieldbox=EXTRA]
  • Eiylsweir retains the power to shapeshift, meaning his form is rarely concrete.
    • He always has a single pair of legs, but can have up to 4 pairs of arms or wings at any given time.
    • His skin is always a leathery, desaturated purple-blue.
    • His 'mask' never changes, and is in fact his face. His horns can change though.
    • Eiylsweir's face splits into four segments (see artwork).
  • The red 'halo' that hovers over Eiylsweir's head is, in fact, a curse from his rival. It prevents him from ever returning to full power, amongst other unknown factors, but Eiylsweir has learned to use it as a channel for spells (see artwork).
  • Eiylsweir has the power to slip through the fabric of time and space with relative ease, largely dude to the fact that the bulk of his power and actual existence is trapped somewhere between the layers of reality. His physical manifestation is but a fragment of what is is and was, and any wounds inflicted on it bleed what looks like space itself.
  • Eiyslweir is not difficult to slay. Any vaguely experienced monster slayer or similar could destroy his physical form, and any really dedicated individual with the right knowledge could probably wipe him out of reality and destroy is actual self as well.

    • Directions can really depend on what you want to do with YC. I would be playing the human in this case! So I'm down for listening to what ideas you have as the why's and whats. That said, the handful of ideas I have are as follows (like I said, if you have another idea yourself by all means hit me up with that good shit)
    • The eldritch being cannot fully manifest itself in this realm of existence without some sort of vessel or tie. The more influence it has in the material world, the closer it will be to breaching into it.
    • The eldritch being has been exiled to this plane of existence, and needs a conduit in order to get back to where it came from in order to exact its revenge.
    • The eldritch being has been here for many centuries, perhaps forgotten or sealed away. Not at full power, the human serves as a means in order to continue their plan of rising to power, conquering this plane, etc.
    • ****The eldritch being doesn't have to be strictly Lovecraftian or stick to Lovecraftian lore either. I won't pretend that I have a deep grasp or knowledge of it anyways, but it's a basic starting point for the gist of what i'm getting at.
    Characters: Human (M/F), Immortal (M). Can play either.
    Genres: Any Setting (Preferably Fantasy), Reincarnation, Long Lost Love, Human x Immortal Being (Preferably 'evil' aligned. Can be a god, vampire, lich, what have you.), MxM or MxF, Romance, Slow Burn(?)

    BACKGROUND
    Many millennium ago, a immortal and another being fell in love. But it would not last forever. The immortal's lover meets their untimely demise, leaving their partner to fester in their misery. Time has passed since then, and by chance one day they meet someone who feels oddly familiar. At first, they pay it no mind, until they realize that this is their long lost love, reincarnated. Even if they are not the same person as they had once been, the immortal being will stop at nothing to have their lover back in their arms again.

    PLOT IDEAS
    • I'm down for playing either character in this situation, though would prefer to play the human. The human can be male or female, but i'd like the immortal to be male.
    • General things regardless of specific plot directions: The 'human' could be a elf or similar as well. Just a general mortal humanoid. Their gender / sex could have changed as well (perhaps they used to be male in their past life and are now female, for example). I have a itching for the immortal to be some sort of evil-aligned or less then moral, but if you're interested but really not digging playing / playing with a evil character then let me know!
    • Potential directions (in order of personal preference):
    • The immortal is a god of some sort, who might be residing on the material plane in order to further his plans in the mortal world. Maybe he's stuck there, maybe he's simply visiting and posing as a mortal to avoid detection or to better work with his own cult. The human can be simply someone living in town that he encounters, or perhaps one of his own cultists.
    • The immortal is a lich, a once-powerful king who ruled well into his undeath with his partner. Since their death, perhaps they've moved into seclusion, or continued their rule with a iron fist in retribution for their beloved. The human could be a simple civilian, a adventurer trying to slay them, a servant, a sacrifice, etc.
    • The immortal is an adventurer who has ascended to a state of immortality through some means (perhaps achieved godhood, or has been blessed with immortality), and the human once was a adventurer with them. Perhaps they meet while the immortal is under guise as a normal adventurer, or any of the similar tropes from the previous two ideas.
    • Something else! Have an idea?
    Characters: Villain (M) x Hero (M/F). Can play either
    Genres: Fantasy / High Fantasy, Forbidden Romance, War, ***

    BACKGROUND
    A war has broken between two sides, devolving down into a war between good and evil. Kingdoms crumble on either side as years pass, locked in a ferocious battle that will drastically the world depending on who comes out on top. For many years, their leaders were intent on seeing the other destroyed, but a chance encounter (or perhaps the capture of one) leads the two leaders to realize that there was a lot more in common between them then they had ever realized. The two begin to fall in love, carefully driving ways to visit each other without the knowledge of their people. But the war rages on, and they know there is no way to stop it without their side turning on them as well. So the two loves are fated to keep their relationship a secret, carefully disguising their meetings in order not to alert their own armies.

    PLOT IDEAS
    • I'm willing to play either character! I don't have any particular ideas for the hero side character, but my idea for a villain would be a warlock of some sort in this case.
    • While I use Hero and Villain here, that can be loose terms since the intention would be that both sides find that they have a lot in common with each other. Maybe their ideals really aren't too far apart, or they agree on things they would not have expected to. This would be something to discuss big time before starting! While I obviously intend this to be romance-centric, I don't want to force the relationship and would like to discuss character personalities and ideals ahead of time moreso then usual to try to develop characters that will get along without shoehorning it.
    • Sides could meet under the pretense of one or the other being captured, political meetings and exchanges, under the cover of darkness, etc.
    Characters: Multiple
    Genres: Fantasy / High Fantasy, Travel, 'Slice of Life', Caravan, Adventurers, Multiple Characters, Potential Action, Adventure, and Romance. Basically a group setting as 1x1 (but could also still do as group).

    BACKGROUND
    The world is a vast place, filled with life and adventure. The world is flourishing in a golden age of culture after the end of many long wars, and people are eager to explore the world once more. Caravans crisscross the continents, bringing people from one place to another for trade, commerce, or whatever else they might be doing. For some, caravans like this are a temporary thing to reach a destinations. For others, these are a means of seeing the world. Adventurers hop aboard these traveling groups to find new places of exploration, to earn a little extra gold defending them, or to find purpose and meaning in their lives. A certain caravan is known for its goal of circling the globe, attracting people interested in long-term travel (as well as a few looking to just hitch a ride to the next town). A group of people from all walks of life, cultures, origins, and beliefs find themselves together for the long haul as the caravan continues it journey across the world.

    PLOT IDEAS
    • This RP is basically a group-sort of set up with the intention for it to be played out as 1x1, since I do not have the energy or time to actually run a group rp like this.
    • Premise revolves around a group of adventurers and perhaps regular folk / other people traveling together in a caravan across the world. It could include adventure, fighting, day to day life, romance, whatever we decide on together! It could be left open ended and episodic, or turn into a epic adventure.
    • The intention would be that we would both play multiple characters, though the exact number is up to you. Some can simply be left as minor characters / NPC types if you'd prefer not to juggle too many characters, but I'd prefer at least 2 serious characters each. It's not much of a caravan if there's only 2 people!
    • Character wise, anything goes. Half of my intention and hopes with this rp would be to see what characters are made, and how they interact with each other. Maybe they don't see eye to eye morally. Maybe they're all excited to go dungeon delving! Maybe romance brews between two (or more) of them. I don't have any serious commitments to what happens, and am very interested in this rp being an exploration of multiple characters interacting around a moving hub.
    [/fieldbox]

  • [fieldbox="FANDOMS, white, solid"]
    Series marked with * are series I am not fully familiar with, or know as thoroughly as I know others. I could RP it, but my knowledge of the canon may not be as deep as i'd like it to be. Series marked with a + I will not rp canon characters for or with.
    VIDEO GAMES
    • Elder Scrolls
    • Pokemon [Trainer or Gijinka]
    • Path of Exile
    • Legend of Zelda*
    • Hollow Knight
    • Touhou Project

    ANIME / MANGA
    • Puella Magi Madoka Magia+
    • Jojo's Bizarre Adventure+

    OTHER
    • Dungeons & Dragons
    • Magic the Gathering*

    [/fieldbox]
    [fieldbox="PAIRINGS, white, solid"]
    Bolded sides means i'm prefer to rp that one, but if neither are bolded I can go either way honestly.

    • [D&D] - Vecna x OC (The dream I know will never happen.)
    • [TeS] - Dragon Priest x Dragon Priest / OC
    • [MtG] - Planeswalker x Planeswalker
    [/fieldbox]
    [fieldbox=PLOTS, white, solid]
    POKEMON
    • A pair of new Pokemon trainers setting out on their adventures as trainers. Pretty open and basic idea.

    MAGIC THE GATHERING
    • A new planeswalker stumbles upon a veteran planeswalker and is taken under their wing. Pretty open and basic idea. Latter can be canon if you wanted (I just don't think I could rp any of them).

Miraak
<<-|--I'm out of my head, of my heart and my mind

'Cause your can run but you can't hide, I'm gonna make you mine--|->>

[fieldbox=BASIC INFORMATION]
Name: Miraak
Age: 4000+
Species: Dragonborn Atmoran
Gender: Male
Height: 6'04"
[/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=PERSONALITY]
<<-|-- Clever || Charismatic || Intelligent || Confident--|->>
<<-|-- Prideful || Arrogant || Ruthless || Selfish --|->>

Miraak knows that he is strong, far stronger then most mortals, and he revels in that. He is witty and clever, a scheming individual who plays things for his best interest, and his best interest alone. He looks to further his power and strength, and has little remorse of what it costs those around him. That said, he is not foolish enough not to see what others can offer to him, but the line between 'friend' and 'thing' is not one Miraak frequently crosses. Miraak fully believes that he is entitled to ruling over others and to his power, and he takes great pride in being the first Dragonborn. Thousands of years in Apocrypha have allowed him a vast and deep pool of knowledge to pull on, though only until recently has he been able to actually use any of it.

Thousands of years in Apocrypha has also made it difficult for him to socialize. While he was never a particularly friendly or caring individual to begin with, being shut off from most human interaction has left him defensive and a little dense about current social norms. He struggles opening up to others, and tends to hide his actual feelings behind his mask and arrogant nature.
[/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=BACKGROUND]
Miraak was born in a village to a pair of poor farmers. As a young child, he was no different then his brothers and sisters, and was put to work on their farm early. He was a quick learner, but little attention was passed to him despite it. It was not until he was eight did things take a sudden turn. While at a ceremony offering things to their dragon ruler, another dragon attacked in hopes of claiming the territory as his. A battle ensured, resulting in one of the two dragons dead. To the surprise of all, young Miraak absorbed the dragon's soul, a feat no one had heard of or seen before. The dragon demanded that he be punished, so the shrine's priest set out with the boy to seek the suggestions of the higher priests.

Miraak did not see his family again. The higher order of dragon priests took interest in Miraak, and from then on Miraak served under the priests. His quick learning came to his aid, and he very rapidly climbed the ranks. Miraak became one of the youngest priests to be given his own named mask, and was widely looked up to and known for his ability to rapidly grasp Shouts. Dragons viewed him with curiosity and unease, but Miraak was left alone at the discretion of Alduin himself. Miraak believed himself to be a sort of prodigy, a chosen one meant to rule over man because he himself was like the gods they worshiped. He turned his sights to gain more power over the counsel of dragon priests, doing whatever he needed to in order to join the highest ranking.

By his early thirties, he had succeeded. More then simply succeeded, Miraak had been given the island of Solstheim to rule over as an extension of the dragon's power in Skyrim. Miraak quite gladly took this new job, extending a harsh rule over the population who resided on the island. But Solstheim was not enough for Miraak. Still believing he deserved more, he sought further ways to extend his power. It was then that Miraak stumbled across a mysterious Black Book one evening in his library, one he did not recall ever owning. And it was then that he met Hermaeus Mora, and his life took another violent change.

Hermaeus Mora showed Miraak the infinite troves of knowledge that lay in Apocrypha, and promised him the power to make even the dragons masters into his servants. He was a man born with the soul of a dragon, and Mora played into all of Miraak's self-absorbed dreams. Miraak began to plan the overturning of his overlords in secret, extending the knowledge of his plans only to his three closest allies: Ahzidal, Dukaan and Zahkriisos. Others he knew wished to overthrow the dragons, but Miraak refused to help those who came for his assistance. He desired power, and he knew that the heroes seeking his help would not accept his tyranny in place of Alduin's. The four of them plotted in secret for many years, until their plans were discovered by Vahlok. Vahlok relayed his findings to the dragons, who turned to Miraak in a rage to destroy his temple. Miraak fought back, using his new powers to slay as many of his former masters as he could before he was pushed back into his temple. Vahlok followed him, and the two came to blows.

Despite all of his power, an exhausted and already wounded Miraak was unable to defeat Vahlok. On the doorstep of death, Miraak was 'saved' by Hermaeus Mora at the last possible second, dragging the dragonborn into a Apocrypha where Mora planned to trap him for all of eternity. Miraak recovered thanks to his Daedric patron, but despite his best efforts Mora refused to allow him to leave. So Miraak skulked in Apocrypha, believing that someday he would be allowed out again.

Days turned into months, months into years, years into decades, decades to centuries, centuries into millennia. Miraak grew restless, tired of even the infinite knowledge Apocrypha could provide. He wanted out again. Vahlok had defeated him, and had been remembered in all the glory Miraak wished he had been remembered. He had been wiped out of history, and he longed to return and finish what he had started. So Miraak began to plot ways to escape, piece by piece.

He just didn't plan for any of them to involve another Dragonborn.
[/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=EXTRA]
  • The left side of Miraak's face is burned from his battle with the dragons / Vahlok.
  • He has a multitude of scars from battle, work as a child, and self-inflicted wounds.
  • His teeth have been filed to points.

Derya Merrick
<<-|--This thirst inside cannot be swept away

I can't ignore the way it eats at my mind--|->>

[fieldbox=BASIC INFORMATION]
Name: Derya Merrick
Age: 28
Species: Human
Gender: Nonbinary
Height: 5'10" / 177.8 cm
Weight: 185 lbs. / 83.9 kg
[/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=PERSONALITY]
<<-|-- Calm || Calculating || No-Nonsense || Loyal--|->>
<<-|-- Distant || Cold || Disconnected--|->>

Derya is not one to raise their voice, or to allow their emotions to get the best of them. They pride themself on the ability to stay calm in the most heated of moments, and meticulously work on keeping their emotions to a bare minimum. To many, it makes Derya come across as cold and heartless through what appears to be a general disinterest in others. While entirely untrue, Derya isn't usually one to point otherwise. In their mind, it is better that people don't get attached to them, and they don't get attached to anyone else.

Derya views others and the world through the lens of kill or be killed. Their upbringing and history have left them with a heavy sense of uncertainty towards others and even themself, and a sense of dread involving any sort of closer relationship (friendship or otherwise). The hunter has seen too many come and go, and they know attachment brings emotion, and emotion can lead to sloppy work or worse.

Derya sees their actions as what is best for the people, and wants to do whatever they can to help those who cannot protect themselves.
[/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=BACKGROUND]
Derya was born towards the outer reaches of Gran Arcturus, near the salt-coated walls that bordered the sea. Their father worked as a sort of part-time dock hand for the few ships that came and went, and the rest of the time he found odd jobs in the crumbling recesses of the city. Their mother helped cook at a nearby tavern, where Derya spent a majority of their childhood with their two siblings. The three of them became well known to the tavern's patrons, and though they were supposed to stay in the back and out of site most patrons knew the children by name. Derya in particular was bold, and enjoyed listening to the conversations of those at their tables or at the bar. They took whatever chance they could at listening to stories or being taught a multitude of tricks by shady individuals who found their interest amusing, until their mother or the tavern's owner would inevitably shoo them into the back.

What time their mother did not work was spent in a small apartment crookedly placed on top of a bakery. There, they were safe from many of the things that lurked the streets at night. There was easier prey then them in the houses below, and Derya became good at ignoring the sounds of screaming or the shuffling of monsters below their well locked and barricaded windows. It was the monster slayers stories that always intrigued them the most. A handful of freelancers would pass in and out of their tavern from time to time, though one was almost always inevitably in there at some point or another. His stories were always the best, and Derya was always happy to listen to their tales of heroism killing the beasts that lurked in the shadows. Monsters were all that they were, and despite their location Derya had very little understanding of what the Blood was, and what it did. Certainly, it was served, sold and passed by them for their childhood, but it was something their mother insisted they not worry about.

Derya later wished they had known, so they might have seen the signs of their father's turning. The change in his behavior, the change in his appearance. Derya accounted it as their father being tired, worn from another day of long work. They did not know that it was something far more sinister. Whatever was going on behind locked doors was beyond Derya. They did not get much time to worry about it anyways, until their father turned into a beast in their own home. Derya watched their father rip their sister in half, demolish their brother, and crush their mother's skull like a melon. Derya managed to escape the same fate by crawling through a hole in a broken window and holding onto the pipework outside, out of the reach of their father's claws.

The freelancer found them still holding onto the pipe hours later, when their father lay dead in the house with the rest of their family. He offered them a place to stay for their servitude, and in time he promised that he would teach them what he know. Derya spent the next several years doing housework until they were old enough to train, before the freelancer took them on as an apprentice. So Derya learned the way of the sword, how to track and slay monsters, and how to tame the very thing that turned their father into a monster himself. Their mentor trained them strictly so they would no succumb to the same thing, and though his training was harsh Derya grew strong from it.

It would take until his demise that Derya truly understood many of his teachings and warnings. Derya promised themself not to give up though, because others needed them, others like them. Because those who lived what felt like a world away in the heart of the city would do little to stop the menace that grew in their own civilians, and because Gods knew they would not be there if it weren't for a hunter.

Lerok
<<-|--Crashing down the ancient roads

Past our yesterday--|->>

[fieldbox=BASIC INFORMATION]
Name: Lerok
Age: 25
Species: Cursed Human
Gender: Male
Height: 6'00" / 10'02" (Standing Upright w/ Neck Stretched Out)
[/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=PERSONALITY]
<<-|-- Empathetic || Good-Natured || Loyal --|->>
<<-|-- Tired || Aloof || Blunt --|->>

Lerok is very sensitive of other people's emotions. Even as a human, he is very aware of other's feelings, and is quick to hone in on them. As a result, people's unhappiness tends to distress him, and he tries his best to help out those that he can. This tends to wear him out though, and he typically comes across as tired or not quite there. He generally is somewhat lethargic, both in mannerisms and general behavior.

He does not tie himself down to one thing, and tends to go with the flow. He can be a tad too aloof about things as a result, and many of his neighbors called him 'lazy'. He tends to tell his mind, and does not understand white lies or the concept of such. He has a difficult time lying at all, even if a truthful answer would lead to people's unhappiness.

Lerok does not believe in a distinct difference between 'good' or 'evil', and likes to try to see both sides of every situation. He is a tad naive about the ways of the outside world, and while had knows most humans would probably dislike his monster form he is very shabby at making sure people never see it.
[/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=BACKGROUND]
Lerok was born a monster, and as a monster he was raised. Lerok never met his mother, who turned him and his father away when she found out what they were. He was raised in a hidden town of others born of the cursed bloodline, somewhere safe for a monster like him. His grandmother told him stories of how they came to be, of the wrongs their ancestors had done to a family of witches, and the curse that the witches brought down in return. She warned him of the outside world, and the dangers it presented to him. Because people were cruel; their ancestors were a testament to that, as was his mother. He lived in a tight-knit community of people who feared the outside world, and who loathed their existence. Some hid it, and tried to live their lives as humans. Others lived the bulk of their lives as monsters.

Lerok joined the later mostly. He lived the nights as a beast, and slept through most of the day. Despite being a town of monsters, life was uneventful in the secluded town. Few traveled in or out, and things fell into the monotonous overtones of small village life. While Lerok did not loath his monstrous self as much as many others did, he longed for a way to free his people from their curse. Those who strayed outside the village had searched, but to no avail. None of the red hoods had been seen in decades... until one of the travelers returned with a rumor. Spurred by the desire to help his people from their suffering and the general boredom of his normal life, Lerok set out to help broaden the search for the sliver of hope.

So Lerok traveled, carefully hiding his true nature from the outside world while he looked for a witch who might break his people's curse...

[fieldbox=BASIC INFORMATION]
Name: Chaskal
Age: Old
Species: God (Trapped in a Mortal Body)
Gender: Male
Height: 5'11"
[/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=PERSONALITY]
<<-|--Optimistic || Friendly || Warm-Hearted--|->>
<<-|-- Naive || Grudgeful || Expectant --|->>

Chaskal is a generally energetic and optimistic individual. He's always been one to help his worshipers, and rather blindly believes in the good of others. He holds his followers to a high expectations in how they should live their lives, and can become exceedingly disappointed when people fail to live up to that. He's one to hold grudges on people who have wronged him, though there isn't much he'll do about it. He wants the best for the world at the end of the day, and understands that sometimes he expects too much of mortals.

[/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=BACKGROUND]
Chaskal had been a god for many, many years. Had he always been a god? He could not remember, but it was what he felt he must have always been. Chaskal proceeded over a handful of temples, protecting the land and his followers in return for their worship and extending good will to travelers and the rest of the world. He was a simple god with a cheerful nature, which inevitably would frustrate other higher beings. Chaskal became the target of another god, frustrated with his optimistic and generally good nature. In a petty attack, he stole Chaskal's power and shunted him into the body of a mortal, believing that he deserved to die amongst the mortals he so admired, and so that he might see that humans were not all as good as he believed them to be.

makes another post for this before I fuck it up so bad that I can't re-do it

  • Hello! Thank you for visiting my partner search thread! Take a gander through the tabs - if you're interested, PM me ;u;! I would love to meet you! Please make sure to read the READ ME tab at least before you do so!
    I have made this little hub in hopes of finding some long-term rp partners or people who'd like to indulge in story writing with me. I have a pair of more thoroughly thought out rp prompts based on a pair of characters i'd like to use, as well as a handful of plot shells and other more malleable requests I'd love to rp someday!

    This will be periodically updated as I see fit, be it with new rp ideas, pairings, etc, or by removing itches that have been scratched.
    buenosmanana_by_necr0wmancer-dbn9ppv.png

  • Alright, a few things about myself, and generally what i'm looking for!

    I am a 24-year-old college student, so I have school work and the likes that will more then likely keep me from being a speedy replies. That being said, I will try to post at least once a week, if not more. Should something come up preventing me from doing that, I'll try to let it be known. I am bipolar and suffer from anxiety so sometimes things just kinda kick me, you know? And I fully understand if life bites you in the ass too, but I would appreciate it if you let me knew as well. Communication is key!

    Anyways, the basics of my RPing and what i'd like from a partner:
    • Preferred Gender: Male, but will rp any!
    • Preferred Pairings: MxF, but will rp any (character permitted!)
    • Preferred Length: 2-3 paragraphs per post, but will mirror partner's length.
    • Passive of Aggressive? Passive initially until I get the feel for a plot or my partner, sorry! ;o;!
    • POV? Third Person!
    • NSFW? Yes, but I prefer at least 60/40 Plot-to-Porn ratio. You MUST be a adult too ;o;! Please don't lie to me about your age. This can be discussed in more detail in PM's.
    • Face Claims? Whatever you want! As long as you aren't claiming other people's art as your own, I don't mind! I will, however, basically always be drawing my own.
    • Icons? Nope, sorry! Since I draw my own, I just can't keep up with drawing enough expressions these days to do that. The literal exception to that is AZ from Pokemon XY.
    • Preferred Genres: Fantasy, action, adventure, horror. Open to do other genres!
    • Fandom OC vs Canon? Either, though I'm a little shaky rping canon characters. See Fandom Tab for more.
    • Preferred Location: Forum or discord. Can try google docs or PM.

    • WON'T rp daily normal slice-of-life or school / academy settings.
    • WON'T rp strictly NSFW with no plot.
    • WON'T rp incest / pedophillia. At all.
    • WON'T icon rp (unless i'm RPing AZ??)
    • WON'T rp one-liners.
    • WON'T force pairings / romance / smut. While I like romance and I have a good handful of rps revolving them, if our characters just aren't melding they're not gonna meld. I don't like forcing it or hard changing my characters. That said, usually i'll be fine to continue the rp and see where it goes anyways if you are!
    • WON'T rp over email (I don't ever check it) or skype (I no longer use it).
    • WON'T godmod, and really ask that YOU don't either. Even if either of us are playing very powerful beings, nobody is impossible to kill or hurt. Please.

  • [fieldbox="BASICS, white, solid"]Generally, I'm looking for fantasy or fantasy-tinged plots, and a bulk of my plot ideas or wishes are at least somewhat supernatural or fantasy in nature. That being said, if you have something in mind yourself I am always happy to listen! I'm not always the best at coming up with plots that are either A) detailed enough for B) open enough.

    Most of my plots and pairings are original, but I have a few fandom ones as well that will be marked as such.
    [fieldbox="PAIRINGS, white, solid"]
    I'm a sucker for-
    • Monster [M] x Human [F]
    • Monster [-] x Human [-]
    • Hero x Villain
    • Lich [M] x Human [-]
    • Adventurer x Adventurer
    • God x Human
    • God x God[ess]
    • Human [F] x Eldritch Being
    • Fanwalker x Fanwalker or Planeswalker
    • Pokemon Gijinka x Pokemon Gijinka
    ...But my pairings aren't limited to this. I love seeing where characters will go or trying out different things, and I feel like listing everything i'd be even vaguely interested in would get too long! Most of these I don't have HUGE plot ideas for though, so. If I have an idea for them, it will probably also be found below in some form.

    I WON'T RP...
    • Incest
    • Pedophilia
    I won't even vaguely entertain the idea of doing ships or pairings of these natures.

    • Ye ol' classic epic adventure. A pair or group of individuals striving to stop a evil, or complete some grand goal that will take them across the land. Preferably fantasy, but really can work with a lot of genres.
    • [MtG] A new planeswalker stumbles upon a veteran planeswalker and is taken under their wing. Pretty open and basic idea. Latter can be canon if you wanted (I just don't think I could rp any of them).
    • [Pokemon] A pair of new Pokemon trainers setting out on their adventures as trainers. Pretty open and basic idea.

    Actual Plots
    A lot of these are more seriously thought out stories that I didn't really want to write as straight stories, and there's a lot of wiggle room even if I have stuff down... as long as we aren't trying to make it change a full 180 or something!

    Characters: Human [F] (MC), Eldritch Being (YC)
    Genres: Any Setting, Horror, Lovecraftian, Eldritch Beings, Potential Romance (?), Corruption, Tentacles, Mentor / Student Relationships. Largely inspired by the game Sundered.

    BACKGROUND
    A human has stumbled across the remains of a ancient ritual used to contact and attempt to summon a extra-dimensional being beyond her comprehension, and accidentally re-awakens or re-contacts it. The power latches onto her, using her as a vessel for whatever plans it may have in the mortal world. The eldritch being takes interest in its host, extending its powers and its knowledge to make her more powerful in order to reach achieve its goals. The human finds themselves infatuated with their new horrifying mentor, and slowly succumbs to their corruption, even if doing so could cost the world as they know it.

    PLOT IDEAS

    Character: NE Female Vampire Cleric [Yusra Demir]
    System: Dungeons and Dragons 5e or 3.5e

    Since this is a little less straightforward, I am largely looking for someone who might be willing to DM or a rp partner willing to kind of DM some sort of plot, campaign, rp, ect. involving my NE vampire cleric of Vecna. Alternatively, if you have a group opening (For something more text based, since my schedule does not allow for a actual in call weekly campaign atm) let me know as well!

    I'm willing to work out what kind of story and plot you're willing to DM! I have several directions and ideas, but since I would not be the DM I figure it's best to see what ideas you'd have first! My only requests are obviously that you allow my character to be her alignment, and perhaps something that works towards her climb in her cult's ranks.

    Bonus if you're willing to indulge in MCxVecna honestly

Yusra Demir

[fieldbox=BASIC INFORMATION]
Name: Yusra Demir
Age: ~200-300?
Species: Human Vampire
Gender: Female
Height: 5'07"
[/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=PERSONALITY]
<<-|--Loyal || Hard Working || Determined--|->>
<<-|--Vain || Cold || Distrustful--|->>

Yusra devotes herself to her work. She feels like she owes her life to those who 'helped' her out of her previous one, and works relentlessly to serve her patron deity. She buries the emotions about her previous life under a shell of coldness, unwilling to allow anyone around her to glimpse anything she deems to be a weakness. Despite trying to run from it, Yusra's upbringing still controls her actions; she puts the needs of her fellow cultists or god above herself, and she worries about what others think of her.

[/fieldbox]
[fieldbox=BACKGROUND]
Yusra did not ask much from her life. She had been raised knowing full well that she would grow up and marry someone to help her family rise in their social status. She accepted that; what other choice did she have? At first, Yusra happily accepted her future. Surly, she would marry a handsome, loving man, and her family would prosper. Her little brother and sister would get a better life, and she would be happy as a devoted wife. If she was good, she did not see any reason why the gods wouldn't assure that her future husband wouldn't be her Prince Charming. She worked hard to listen to her parent's teachings, to what she was supposed to be like when she was older.

As she got older, Yusra tried her hardest to stay positive. Her childhood dreams of her future were just that; childish dreams. The man she would marry was nearly twice her age; a slobby, gangly man known for mistreating his servants. No, her life would not be as fabulous as she'd dreamed it to be, but Yusra kept her head up. It would turn out alright, she told herself. He would not be as bad as he looked, or as he sounded. The marriage would still be a few years off, and she simply needed to focus on her teachings.

For her family, she told herself. For the better of things so their family would be wealthy and have a better social status. There was a set date for their marriage now; the date was looming.

For her siblings, she told herself. So perhaps her little sisters would not suffer the same fate, so them and her little brother could do what they wanted with their life. The marriage was only a year away.

She couldn't do it. As Yusra waited two days before her wedding, she finally accepted that the marriage was going to be hell. No matter how much she tried to believe that everything was for her family, no, for her siblings, she could not do it. But there was no way out. She could not simply turn and run. Pride, perhaps. But where would she go? She would have no money to her name, and perhaps no name at all. No, she would be disowned. Banished. A disappointment to her family. Her sisters would no doubt be subject to the same fate. Gods did Yusra fear the wedding and the man she was set up to marry, but what choice did she have?

Two nights before her wedding, Yusra managed to shake off her family for a breath of fresh air. The last time she'd be alone for a long time, Yusra knew with a bitter taste on her tongue. A walk to ease her mind as the wedding drew painfully close. A break in adjusting her dress, from her mother's nagging, from the uncomfortable stares of those around her.

"You don't want this, do you?"

The hooded stranger gave her an offer. Yusra did not know what it could be; he would not explain. Unease plagued her brain and her stomach twisted in warning, but Yusra's fear won over it. Whatever the stranger was offering, Yusra was sure it would be better then what she would face in little over a day. The day of her wedding, Yusra's body lay in a casket. Instead of a celebration, her family mourned the sudden murder of their daughter. No burial place had been yet set up, but all those who would have attended the wedding gathered around for a funeral instead. By the time the sun had set, all in attendance would be dead.

The following days were a blur. She knew, in the haze of fear and bloodlust that convoluted her mind, that nothing would be the same again. She recalled, with the painful wrenching of her heart, that her precious little sisters and brother lay dead, huddled together under a table where they had tried to hide from her. She knew if she was found, she would be killed. How far has she'd stumbled under the cover of darkness? How many crumbling ruins had she hidden in as the sun came up? Exhaustion finally washed over Yusra, and at last the world went dark. The woman reawakened in the darkness of a unfamiliar chamber, in the bloody tatters of the wedding dress she'd been buried in and the comfort of her own coffin.
Eldves was his name.

"You have potential."

He was there because she could be useful, Yusra knew she would not have had another way out. But at what cost? The lives of everyone around her? Of her family? Of everything she'd known? But what choice did she have?
Eldves had given her her freedom; from her arranged marriage, her family, from his control. She was a true vampire now; and if she wished to leave, he would not stop her. Of course, he warned that their next meeting doubtfully would be so pleasant. He had things to do, after all, and if Yusra wished to step in his way he would not hesitate to slay her. But Eldves had freed her, given her a chance to write her own path. Yusra was not ashamed to admit that she owed him her life. Yusra felt conflicted; he'd made her into a vampire, caused her to slay her family, flee her home. But she was free.
Eldves offered her a home. A home, amongst other undead. A home, under the colors of an undead god. They showed her what she had never been allowed to be. That she could be so much more. That she had power, had strength, had talent that had been so wasted by thinking she'd be nothing more than a housewife.
Gratefulness turned into obsession.

The cult was her home. The cult was her life. Her god had allowed her to realize her potential, had given her freedom. She had become powerful. She had learned. She was free.

And she would do anything to serve him.
