      Story
In the days before the hidden villages, the life of a ninja was a short one. Battles, hazards, and wandering Bijuu presented danger at every front. Still, a ninja was believed to be the embodied strength of the land’s dreams, and they were highly revered in this time.

All across the land, ninja clans are claiming dominance, despite the danger of doing so. Despite the volatile climate, there was a balance held between the clans, as a clan could only claim as far as their powers would let them. That was, until several clans in the Land of Fire began to unite as the first hidden village, The Village Hidden in the Leaves. This tipped the balance, and the Land of Fire expanded vastly.

As the Land of Fire expanded, two clans stood in their way into the Land of Earth. The Tsuki clan of Honoji and the Uroko clan of Kizugawa .

The Tsuki clan is said to be full of dreamers. It is an idealistic clan, though not weak by any means. Their dreamer mentality actually is what gave them their recent power, as locals supported their idealism to the point of undercutting whatever influence the other ninja clans of the area had. Popularity ushered in their strength.

The Uroko clan however is much more pragmatic. The previous clan to control Kizugawa area, the Hebi clan, was oppressive, and killed rival ninja families within their borders. The Uroko family allied themselves with the Hebi, gaining prestige within the clan, only to betray them, destroying them, and taking their influence. Despite their tactics, they don't see themselves as evil, just willing to do what it takes for the greater good.

The two clans are the only thing standing in the Hidden Leaf Village's way. Still, that is not their only threat.
Their fellow clans, even now, wish to inflict harm on them. Enemies surround them on every side.

Perhaps one of the most threatening is not of the human variety. Bijuu freely roam the land, sowing destruction as they pass.

With all these threats, a miracle is needed. Perhaps one can be found in the current rising generations of these clans?

      Q&A
      Show Spoiler

      Q: A.U or Canon?
A: A.U. All the clan’s from the original exist, and the leaf formed first, but all characters are new.

Q: Are we using the English or Japanese names for everything
A: Whatever you prefer. I personally prefer to use the English names myself, but to each his own.

Q: Do I have to play as one of those 2 clans?
A: Until we get rolling, yes. It just keeps things focused.

Q: Is everyone in a clan related?
A: Nah, they are just the individuals and families who are in the service of the most powerful family within the clan, and that powerful family itself.

      Q: Can I have a Kekkei Genkei?
A: Yes, but Kekkei Genkei's are going to stay with their original village. No Hyuga will be found allowed outside the Hidden Leaf. No, you can't go organ harvesting either. If a Kekkei Genkei doesn't have a place of origin, feel free to take it.

Q: What Rank am I starting out as?
A: Everyone starts out as D-ranked, but you’ll get better. Later on, I won’t offer too many high ranking characters from the start either. This Rp will always focus on the chars who started out as D-ranked. If there’s a high ranking character who didn’t start out as D-ranked, don’t expect him to get too much action.

      Q: What villages are there?
A: Only the Hidden Leaf, which is brand new. No other villages have formed...yet. They will though.

Q: Are there only ever going to be 2 clans, and is it always going to be in the Hidden Stone.
A: No, and no. We'll open new clans all over the place, as we want to see all villages form. We need a few things to form a clan though: 1) Enough people sincerely interested. 2) Someone active enough to lead it. 3) Something for them to do.

      *Other notes
**A few things don’t exist yet, as the villages haven’t been formed yet, here’s a few:
      • Most villages don’t exist, only the Leaf Village has been formed
      • The standard 4 man team isn’t the norm yet.
      • There are no Jinjuriken, nor ways to reliably seal the Bijuu(Means Bijuu are actually scary, you see one, you run like hell.) They revive themselves after a while too, so a dead Bijuu won't stay that way permantly.

  2. Arc Information

    Arc 1

    Show Spoiler

The Tsuki and Uroko clan are patrolling their borders when Leaf Ambush troops attack them. Only the Genin are aware so far

    Clan Information
*This'll be ever expanding with player input.
    Tsuki
    Tsuki (open)

    Leader:
    Ayumu Tsuki
    History:

Descendents of the warriors Sugawaru Tsuki, a man known as Phantom to the surrounding villages for his genjutsu prowess. He was constantly marked as foolish, as he often gave up chances at power for his ideals. He refused chances of glory, because he didn’t want to serve anyone he didn’t agree with. This meant he stood alone much of the time. He looked after the downtrodden and poor. His ability however was feared even by the largest clan, even more so with the amount of followers he gathered. One loyal group, the Vaile family, joined him during this time. They became known as the Chakra Knights.

Sugawar and his family was chased out of the lands of his youth by a local warlord after an ambush when he was away from all his followers. The only way to save his family was to leave.

He was discouraged, until he noticed his followers had followed him. Settling a new area, they made a name for themselves. Control of the area was unsettled, and the people there soon became weary of the Tsuki there too. In time, they once again ambushed him in an attempt to ward him off. However, Sugawaru considered Honnoji home, and fought to keep it. In the battle, Sugawaru held off his attackers at the cost of his own life.

The people rallied even more at his sacrifice, and declared they would be led by his eldest son, Ayumu. They rejected the surrounding ninjas, who no longer could make a living without stealing, turning from ninja to bandit. The people looked to Ayumu to kill them. He refused to hunt anyone, instead focussing on defending the areas the bandits would pillage. Unable to continue in the wilderness without plunder, and unable to raise their own crops, the bandits slowly started to abandon Honoji.

Though looked down upon by other clans for their lack of pragmatism, they are well supported by the people.

    Area of Control:
Honoji- The grassy steppe that leads into the land of earth. Food here is hard to grow, and therefore highly valued. The grass here has a noted value of sparkling in moonlight, making the entire steppe glow in the full moon. There is no physical use for it, but is a beautiful place to contemplate.

    Uroko
    Uroko (open)

    Leader:
    Satoshi Uroko
History: Initially, the name Uroko meant next to nothing, as they were merely one of many clans affiliated with the Hebi. But as the Hebi clan grew more oppressive and more paranoid of losing control, the Uroko gained strength by playing bootlickers to their authority. They waited, watching as the Hebi became more and more out of control, and seized the opportunity to take power when a full scale uprising occurred. Seen as having chosen the right side, but also possessing a great deal of influence given to them by the Hebi, the Uroko were in the perfect position to become the new masters of Kizugawa.

The people of Kizugawa tolerate the Uroko because first and foremost they are not the Hebi, though they are neither the beloved idealists of the Tsuki. Their rule is stable, and that is what counts most to the formerly bedraggled people of Kizugawa. It has been a generation since the Uroko took power, and now the firm but fair Satoshi Uroko guides the region.

    Area of Control:
Kizugawa- a land dotted with waterfalls, lush forests, and numerous cliff sides. The Hebi had made quite the mess of it, and many scars from their brutal tactics remain. In the years the Uroko have controlled the region, a degree of normalcy has returned.

  3. @Shard- Your character is accepted. Though I do have to ask, is there anything that KG can do that any ninja can't normally do?

If I get one more character sheet up, I'll start the IC.

  4. Can we have ''Twin'' characters.
A Twin CS is exactly like a AU CS but the appearance and personality is Canon or close canon.

  5. It'll come in later levels, the low level stuff isn't anything flashy. Later feats will be more unique.

  6. Etamura Kanoke
    [IMG]
Summary: Shunned by society, he seeks nothing more than bring honor to his clan.
    Age: 14
    Rank: D
    Clan: Uroko

    • Fame: N/A

      Personality:
Truthfully, Kanoke would like to be outgoing and energetic, but his gloomy, frail appearance, sluggish laziness, and reputation keep him from fulfilling those dreams of social success. It is perhaps because of this that he is often known to ensnare anyone who dares approach him for anything and keeps them socially hostage through ceaseless conversations about nothing or one of the various games he may have at hand at the time.

The cause of his sluggishness and appearance perhaps lie in the exertion he puts himself through in the battlefield. Willing to do whatever task with whatever methods available, he seeks to bring glory to the Uroko and Etamura.

      History:
While not a traditional family, related by blood, the members of the Etamura clan have created a deep bond forged through their collective orginss as burakumin; outcasts and criminals shunned by society as impure and filthy and often left to occupations dealing with the dead. When wars came, their village are often ignored by the daimyos and they were left to fend for themselves. In order to survive, they had to forego their peaceful ways and take up the art of war taught by those in the community who had experience. Generations passed and their numbers had grown, having taken in those orphaned and left dishonored by war, yet they were still held in contempt by those they sought to serve.

Perhaps one could say that the clan flourished because they were so neglected during those times. Without regulation, the Etamura sought whatever means to protect themselves and as a result, began to experiment with forbidden techniques. By the time the rumors of their deeds reached the daimyo, the clan had grown formidable enough to defend themselves against the first waves of ninja sent to enforce his will. Their victory was bittersweet, as they knew that they would not last long against the daimyo's full strength. It was at this point that the Uroko made themselves known, offering asylum in exchange for their support against the Hebi. While the Etamura are still looked upon those of Kizugawa, they are fiercely loyal to the Uroko to this very day for that act of kindness.

Kanoke was one of the first few generations born and raised in Kizugawa, away from the toil and trouble that his family had fought so hard to escape from. While he should have been grateful to live in an era where he could dedicate himself to the knowledge and training of those before him without having to worry about survival, Kanoke couldn't help but feel guilty. Thus, when the opportunity came, he sought to join the others in battle.

    • Combat Summary: Kanoke prefers to stay at long range, using his abilities to support those fighting in close combat and attacking from a distance. If provoked to fight at close range, he will often utilize underhanded tactics, such as traps or situations that could give him an advantage.

      Skills:
      Good Ninjutsu
      Good Chakra Control
      Average Chakra Pool
      Average Genjutsu
      Bad Taijutsu

Hiden: Spirit Manipulation - The result of the Etamura's research in forbidden techniques, this ability focuses around the user rousing a spirit into the world of the living through the use of part of the decease's body or a cherished personal possession. Once summoned, the spirit can aid the user in a variety of ways, although just how helpful they are depends on their state of mind and how they feel towards the summoner. The major limitation of this ability is that it requires a constant supply of chakra to keep activated.
Mastery: Having inherited it from a young age, Kanoke is quite adept at using it, although he has yet to reach his full potential.

      Weapon List:
      Show Spoiler

Standard Weapons: Aside from the basic load out of all ninja, Kanoke carries an extra set of kunai, explosive tags, and wire strings.
      --------
      Unique Weapons:
      Name: Unosuke
Description: An ancient bajōzutsu, or Japanese matchlock pistol.
Special Skills: While its bullets can be enhanced by chakra, it is primarily utilized by loading it with special rounds made with human bone, allowing Kanoke to control the projectile via the spirit summoned from it.

      Name: Spirit Manipulation: "Vengeful Spirit"
      Type: Offensive Ninjitsu (Hiden)
      Rank: C
      Range: 15 Feet (Activation)
      Hand Signs: 3 (Requires catalyst)
Description: By summoning one or more wrathful spirits, this jutsu allows the dead to attack the living. The user must practice caution while using this ability as the spirits can be hostile to anyone in their sight, including the caster. This risk can be negated if the user summons the spirit of someone bearing a grudge for a particular enemy.

Summary: A young man in service to the Uroko clan, but not one with loyalty set in stone.
    Age: 15
    Rank: D
    Clan: Uroko

    • Fame: Nopity nope.

Personality: Shigeru is a jovial soul who hates to take life too seriously. Outside of combat, he’s prone to simply meandering about, looking for something fun to pass the time. He loves a good conversation, and can be surprisingly tolerant of what others have to say as long as he they don’t bore him. He will readily call someone a friend after the barest of time spent together, though his definition of friendship is sketchy at best.

At heart, Shigeru is quite the mercenary, but not one that can be bought on the fly. His loyalty lies with those that feed and pay him, and he’ll do his best to meet expectations as long as he’s kept satisfied. He wouldn’t swap sides casually, but under duress or if his patrons have decided to screw him, then he’s entirely open to having a change of heart and seeking a new benefactor.

History: Shigeru’s parents were killed when he was young during a skirmish with a clan from the Land of Fire. Shigeru doesn’t really remember the details himself. The Uroko clan took him in as a personal ward for his parents service, and he has since been more focused on meeting their expectations. They raised him with one purpose in mind; to be a weapon for use in war. When Shigeru became older, he understood that the Uroko weren’t being kind, they were simply hoping he would make a good soldier. He doesn’t really mind this state of affairs, since it’s all he really knows, and as long as the Uroko keep him fed and happy, he won’t really care to seek anything more than that.

    • Combat info
Combat Summary: Shigeru’s preferred tactic is to fight from a distance using either ninjutsu or assorted projectile weapons.

      Skills:

      Good Ninjutsu
      Good Chakra Control
      Average Taijutsu
      Bad Genjutsu

KG/Hiden: The nonexistant Kekkei Genkai. It entails not having a KG at all. It is one of the rarest KG in existence.

Personality: Kicho is a sympathetic person, she tries to cheer everyone up around her. Even if she's not feeling happy, she smiles when other people are around to encourage them. She doesn't like for other people to be sad or unhappy, a constant with the state of affairs.

Kicho is constantly daydreaming, and has a very short attention span. She dreams of a land without fighting. It's hard to get Kicho to focus on a task, but if it finally does catch her attention, she becomes obsessive about it. Such as her learning the deities at the shrine. She initially was bored by all the stories of Shinto, but after hearing of Amaterasu hiding in Ama-no-Iwato cave, she learned all sorts of trivial facts of Amaterasu (and played hide and seek, claiming to be Amaterasu for a month).

Kicho is also extremely active, loving sports, dances, and the outsides.

History: The Hashiba family has watched over the shrine to Honoji for generations. Her father was an Ujiko(parishioner), and her mother a Miko(Shrine Maiden). Kicho always dreamed of being one as well, and learned the arts and traditions associated with the shrine. Her short attention though made that difficult. She did enjoy the dances though. The shrine would see the worse of the worst, as those affected by the warring clans would come pray here. Despite near never leaving the shrine, the Hashiba family was well informed of every occurrence throughout the region.

Her older brother, Tenjin, was extremely rebellious against the old traditions. Her parents would often chide him.Despite their differing opinions, Kicho and Tenjin were close. Tenjin would often talk about a better land, about how ninjas could work together, there wouldn't be so many wars. His view was the gods would only help those who acted. He often lamented he was to old to be a ninja.

The Hashiba family continued to pray for the land from their little shrine. However trouble wasn't only limited to the world outside their shrine. One fateful afternoon, when Tsuki was 12, a band of outsider ninja were fleeing from Tsuki ninja pursuing them. Seeing the shrine, they threatened Kicho's parents to be quite while they hid, and took a hostage, Tenjin. The Tsuki ninja pursued them, and asked the Ujiko, Kicho's father if he had seen them. He nervous said hadn't seen them. However, Tenjin, frustrated by the ninja fighting, and being threatened, broke free, and screamed the ninja were inside the Shrine.

The ninjas in hiding were infuriated, and struck Tenjin down with kunai for betraying their position, fleeing the seen with the Tsuki clan in hot pursuit. One of them however stayed behind to care for the civilians left behind. He said he had been treated well at the shrine several times, and tried to treat for Tenjin the best he could.

Kicho's world was shattered by the event. All the prayers she had offered seemed in vain without the strength to back them up. She remembered all of Tenjin's comments of ninja, wanting to be one.

She later that night overheard a conversation between the doctor and her parents, that they didn't know if Tenjin would make it or not, as his wounds were severe.

Frustrated with everything happening around her, Kicho swore to be strong enough to protect those close to her. She left a note that night, and ran away, hunting down the Tsuki ninja who had hunted down the rogues. Initially, they refused to take her in, and tried returning her home. But every time, she would follow them. In the end, due to her persistence, the Tsuki clan did indeed adopt her, and promised to teach her ninjutsu.

    • Fame:

      Personality:

She's highly practical, with a strong personality and she despises nonsense in word or action. She's pragmatic- but she's got dreams of her own. She's always wanted to change the relations between the clans- she's a pragmatist and war has no benefits. With a high IQ, she's very analytical and often denies the importance of her emotions. She doesn't view them as weaknesses, but rather as distractions while fighting.

      History:

Born into the Myōji clan, a traditional family of samurai and warriors- the noble and righteous clan. Moekasu has been groomed to fight, to duel and war for honour and glory. But the way of the samurai was not for her. As a woman in the Myōji clan, she cannot ever rule on her own power- only through marriage can she ever have a semblance of power. Though trained well in the art of the sword, she has always been a cunning opponent- deception and trickery a common aspect of her combat.

But this fighting was not honourable- an abhorrent behaviour to the Myōji and she rebelled. She learnt the sword, yes. She learned the rules and the codes and the laws, yes. But she did not honour them in her mind or heart. In all but name, she was a shinobi, a warrior of the darkness. When her clan was destroyed by the Kuge family, a result of ongoing political machinations and feuds. The Kuge family vilified her clan and subsequently executed them for treason- a false charge.

Moekasu subsequently was adopted into the Uroko clan, where she has been training further and with great passion to protect her new home.

  17. Sorry if I make anyone angry now, but I actually am going to have to jump ship on this one. Too many things are happening right now, and I do not believe that will have time to respond to the RP in a reasonable time between posts.

Have fun everyone and thanks a lot for the opportunity! ^^
