That's pretty interesting. But would it follow the same plot line as the original? Just out of curiosity. Because if it's real similar to the original plot, just having that switch, it might get a little boring.
 
how about we focus on a long term mission like protecting a princes/prince with special abilities, although one of us will need to play the target.

No since switching sides is a major aspect in the plot this means asura wasn't chosen by hagoromo to carry out the ninshu art and instead indra took the position. This means the uchiha was the great ones in battle and seeing how they were pretty powerful already that only dictates that the world is pretty much ran by sure power instead of justified knowledge. Madara was instead elected and in return hashirama was casted out or.. wasn't even acknowledged in the first place. Yada yada time rolls and i'm pretty sure you can figure the rest out... Also this means Itachi had to destroy another clan.... but whooo? Hyuga perhaps.. ?

Holy baloney that isn't what naruto is about... Matter of fact naruto takes place wayyyy on the other side of the world (japan) which didn't have kings, shiny armor, princesses, yada yada. Perhaps that might work for a fire emblem fandom but not a world with shinobi.

How about the hidden leaf is a rebellious country where the Akatsuki organization has taken complete control and could have more then 9 Akatsuki and they could control all the tailed beast except one maybe
It would be like black star in soul eater odds stacked against them but with training and talent they overcome God like beings
 
Uh.... How about we start off with basic shinobi stuff.
Genin. A mission at a time and as we build the world around them and relationship, the big drama will come...
I think it's a much more interesting approach

And eventually we can have them have then big dangerous missions

Even so, it works against those who haven't seen it in a while or haven't seen the last few arcs. I am one of those people ^^' I like Naruto, just haven't had the chance to finish it. Also, Kings, Princesses, Lords, etc. are quite common in the Naruto world. The Land of the Birds, the Ice Princess, that prince kid of whom I forgot which movie he was in, etc. Also, Naruto is based off Japan, but isn't Japan. It's its own world. And even in Japan, especially during earlier periods, they had many of those figures. Emperors, Shoguns, Princesses or Princes, Lords, etc. But that's just a bit of trivia ^^'

I love this idea ^^ It was actually what I had in mind I the first place, just have a new start as ninjas fresh out of the Academy, or even starting in the Academy if we want. I just wanted more of an idea for a goal to work towards and a misson to start as.

I kinda liked the escorting mission, but isn't it a bit much for new Genin? Also, there's certainly more than three of us. Four if someone wants to play a sensei rather than a genin. We have 8 in the group, including me. That's two teams, or two and 2/3 depending on whether or not people want to play senseis.

Those movies were very badly written... I haven't watched every single one but most of them legit had items that didn't even make sense like that snow princess and her.... eh, movie. Sorry for the spoilers but everything i said pretty much happened a long ass time before naruto. I won't argue that they did but Kuro sounded like he was referring more of the ''knight in shining armor'' fantasy period with the long blonde haired women and the outrageously shiny american looking guys.

In my personal opinion, the movies weren't all bad. And the items do makes sense. It's subtle, but they do have forms of technology. Such as one of the endings showing Naruto watching TV or playing video games (don't remember which). And I understand the jist of it, I just haven't seen the shinobi war on. But that all aside, I think we should do @B l u E s idea. Should I start the group, or do we want to discuss it more?

Time line?..... Village?... And i think the plot is pretty important for a roleplay before beginning... Without the plot how am i suppose to know what the hell the world is at currently? is there a war? what clans are at conflict? What villages are standing?

It's an Alternate Universe, I thought we decided that. It happens at the same time as the original storyline, and I thought it was gonna be in Kohonagakure, being as that's the main village. And I don't think there is any conflict yet. We're just starting out with the basics, so it'd be kinda rash to jump into a war or something.....

Alternate universe as in what? you have to expand on this, you can't just say alternate universe and expect everyone to understand right off the bat what you mean. Alternate universe can be taken many different ways like ''is everything opposite?'' or ''Is the time-line reversed?'' like you have to say whats happening.

I honestly thought I explained this? The Alternate Universe I was thinking of is just the same time line but with different characters and stories. Meaning, the time period Naruto takes place, but the story line is what we create and the characters are our own.

Nope its just as @StellaAutumn01 said I just didn't want to argue. My vote is to go @B l u E s suggestion. Start out as genie and work our way up slowly but surely making our characters awesome.

That is my big question. Will it happen? Did it happen? Or are we undoing that part of the story?

I assume the demon is still in naruto? Or another child? Did the demon ever get involved in the village?

I think this is why Edward means when he says details to the universe (not plot ;)

And for you Ed. What we mean by the big plot, we mean something that will eventually drive the story. Example, in naruto. The big drive was naruto seeking for sasuke to come back.

A lot of shit was added, but that was the big idea of naruto.

As for us, we start by seeing the characters which helps us then brainstorm based on those charries

Thank you for clearing that up ^^ I think it was a misunderstanding on both of our ends. As for your questions, Alternate Universes usually have things the same and things extremely different. So I suppose the Uchiha Massacre did happen, and the Nine Tails is involved in the story. Unless anybody else thinks neither should be involved?
