Would levels of affinity with the familiar/s and levels of heightened senses work for higher levels of the clan skills? Like, how the sharingan has levels and such?
Or should it just be part of passives? I figure the passives will be stat boosts amd heightened senses, but, I'm not entirely certain how to handle the familiar mechanic wise. What you think, guys?
I think levels of affinity with the familiar/s and levels of heightened senses would work, so like at level 1 you have to give your familiar/s a soldier pill for them to transform into you for Man Beast Clone to work, and like at level 3 your familiar/s no longer need the pill.
Appearance:
Kenji has a lithe athletic build, slender and defined from a life of running, climbing, amd various other methods of exercise. His eyes are narrrow, with large canine-like pupils that become more so when his jutsu is active.
His hair is kept very short and spikes naturally , dark brown, and is most always unkempt.

Personality:
Kenji is highly independent, believing firmly in self reliance. He is very confident in his skills and abilities, and thus has a tendency to underestimate his enemies. However, he is an adept tracker, hunter, and trapper. Kenji is polite, yet has a tendency to occasionally say the wrong thing, landing him in trouble. Kenji lives for competition and thoroughly enjoys fighting and hunting both.

Kenji's family left their home village, seeking to escape from the conflict, politics, and bigotry of their prior village life .
Past:
Kenji was born to his parents, dog breeders in the Village Hidden in the Grass. At a young age, he was given a puppy named Amatamaru. The two grew together, becoming best friends. Over time, they became inseparable. While initially, he simply desired to raise canines like his parents, a disastrous turn of events made him desire the strength to protect himself and those close to him, inspiring him to take up ninjutsu.
Because of their somewhat unusual and more canine-like appearance, the Inuzuka family had been shunned, or at the least, a little untrusted. It became far worse when the village elders chose Kenji to host the recently sealed tailed beast known as "Son Gokū." This only prompted further mistrust and foul treatment over the next several years. His peers treated him terribly, and the adults conspired against his parents.
When he was ten, his parents decided to withdraw from the village, hoping to stay in a land where Kenji wouldn't be known as a monster. Unfortunately, they knew the village would frown upon their decision, urging them to attempt to flee in the dead of night. Due to the untrusting nature of the people, more so the decision to keep a close eye on the Jinchuuriki, they were caught.
Fearing the persecution of their son, they sent him ahead with Amatamaru, a method that barely allowrd him to escape. After moving almost aimlessly for several hours, Kenji stopped to wait for his parents, only to realize when he awoke that he would never see them again. Although he hadn't been practicing ninjutsu for long, he realized that he was now a rogue ninja, and would have to search for a place that would accept him.
Over the next few years, he trained with Amatamaru, developing a method of ninjutsu and taijutsu that would allow then to fight together. The natural abilities and affinity he had with canines enabled him to communicate and coordinate efficiently with his canine companion. With Amatamaru's help, he begame an adept hunter, trapper, and tracker, using his skills to survive the wilderness during his search for a new home.

After performing the necessary handseals, the user of this jutsu will take on a more canine-like appearance. When activated, the user's pupils will become nothing more than slivers, nails will become more claw-like, and s/he will travel on all fours. This allows the user to fight more savagely, utilising an animalistic style of taijutsu to a greater effect.
Additionally, chakra floods the user's muscles, claws, and teeth, making their strikes all the more powerful and lethal.

Description:
By spinning rapidly, the user turns into a whirling mass before launching themselves at his/her target. Even with only a glancing blow, the user's claws and teeth can slice up an opponent. An opponent who receives a direct hit risks being siced apart, as well as suffering severe concussive damage. This technique is best utilized by both the user and their familiar, and is more than capable of ripping foes apart.
his clan stuffs look fine to me! And if your having trouble deciding on a village you could always just put that your a travelling/wandering clan instead!
