(E) Zaun would have halted and raised his shield, wary of any possible way it could spit or transmit the infection. "Wise one, would you care to take a sample from him? Or shall I kill it where it lays?" He would ask, drawing his word with his left hand, getting ready to plunge it through the poor creatures skull. He didn't enjoy having to kill something like this, especially in this setting where there was no honor or glory to be found, but he must do it to protect the group.

(E) "Go ahead and kill it, there is no understood science with the amount of technology that has been developed in the known world; there is no point in studying any samples. Just make certain to not make too much sound and make certain to not cause too many vibrations either." She said, patting him on the horn to give the order out- and leaned back to make certain that she wasn't too 'involved' in the matter. She didn't feel too good about killing things or really anything that involved violence. The effect was quite negative for those of the age that Serdtse was, risking Rancia . . .

(E) Zaun would have raise his sword, giving signal to halt those behind him and to wait. Muttering a small word of luck to the dead he would carefully position the sword to its skull, even if it were touching his sword and trying to grab it, his immense strength would essentially keep it near completely stable. With one quick shove, the sword would easily penetrate the skull, crushing through its skull and destroying his brain. A quick wipe of the sword against the dead body's clothes would be enough. He would sheath the sword but keep the shield raised against the body, encase there were any surprises. "It is done, let us move forward wise one." He would say, raising his hand to let the group know he was ready to continue and would begin marching down the stairs.

(E) The group watched in disgust as the act was performed and at last, the group descended to the bottom of the stairs and into the light- that was when Serdtse put the flashlight away and back into her pack with great flexibility. Then she leaned forward and pointed for the church. "There it is, so go on the left side of the church and follow the alleyway that should take us quite a bit down, then left and then another right-" She said, then followed up with an order of "Don't make an effort if you don't need to though, keep close and make a line of two behind us." She commanded, not quite so aggressively.

(E) Zaun would have nodded and begun following her orders, before looking up and whispering so that no others could hear but those with extraordinary sensory abilities like herself. "Would it be better if we were in the middle wise one? I could react quicker and protect the group easier that way." He would say, completely open to suggestion, it wasn't a challenge, he offered it as he felt he has seen more combat than her.

(E) "We will be entering an alleyway soon, I thought that it would likely be better if we all stood together rather than splitting up; it would leave less opportunity for anything to grab somebody off in the distance. If we are to be in an open area then it would be wiser for you to be in the middle with me, that is true." She gave him credit where it was due but she felt as though it was better for the situation that was approaching. The walled areas of the streets that they were crossing were all quite . . . desolate and without very many infected peoples. In the short distance though, they could see other groups of people crossing the street too . . .

(E) Zaun would smile with a nod. "Understood wise one, your plan makes perfect sense." He would say, understanding the logic of her worse since she explained it a little better. He would have kept his words short, they were behind enemy lines per say, he didn't to attract unnecessary attention where it didn't need to be. A quick check up on the surroundings and the people around him and he would have forged on, keeping a sharp ear out.

(E) The people behind Zaun followed and listened to order well, including the man that was once causing trouble. No threats seemed to be in sight as the group approached the church and then the right side of the alleyway. Down the alley they went and as time went on, the alley got smaller and more shrunken than before- the fog more thick and the stone pavement dirty brown with tons of moss and fungi growing all about it. With no threat in sight, it was as if this was going to be a cake walk. "Wow, this is a lot easier than before." Serdtse mumbled, now taking a left to an even smaller alley. Now only about 10 feet wide . . . hopefully they didn't get cornered.

(E) Zaun would have nodded, though he didn't like being so cornered he felt he had the advantage if they came from one side, being able to form a wall or lift the group above the infected, it would cause some difficulty in maneuverability. He looked up and whispered. "We are almost there yes? I am getting a bad feeling." He would say, sharpening his senses further for any footsteps, murmuring or anything else that could be heard.

(E) "Should be around the corner- important buildings like churches are usually around transportation or Ran nodes. See? There is the building- right down this alley on the right and then, get rid of the infected in front of us and we should be golden!" She smiled, proudly that her plan seemed to work out just fine- however the infected looked rather different than all of the others. He was bloated and overly stretched out in size. To the point that he looked to be like some big fat skinned balloon that really just needed to pop. "I never seen one so big before though!" She said, the big guy waddling like a damned penguin towards the group. It smelled awful, like somebody made a shake of vomit diarrhea and skunk ointment.

(E) Zaun would not have let his guard down in the slightest as he would raise his hand once more to stall the group. He would have quickly raised his shield, channeling his magic to the front of his shield, a golden energy would spread in front of it, it would look like a magical version of his shield but much larger, basically creating a 12 foot wall between the infected with no space to form cracks from the magic shield to the building it was touching. With one swift hoof stomp, the earth underneath the infected with fall, causing it to land around seven feet down into the ground, the earth that was moved would quickly form a top over it, and a small hill that would be easy to tread, underneath hard earth would will the hole, suffocating and containing whatever threat it had. Zaun may have done overkill, but he didn't trust the infected in the slightest.

(E) Under the ground would have been an explosion, followed up with a shock-wave that slowly began crack through the earth. This shock-wave caused worry in Serdtse as she got a bad feeling about that little shake. The cracks began to leak some kind of gas that poured into the atmosphere. "I don't think that worked out too well, we should get move quicker. Can you make sure that pit doesn't burst open while we walk over it? I am hoping that the vibrations and whatever is trapped underneath that is causing pressure doesn't attract anything." She mumbled.

(E) Zaun would nod, stamping his foot once more to strengthen the earth and move some to fill the pit, causing the ground above to be strong and stable. "It worked to contain the threat, quickly, lets move to the node." He would say, raising his hand once more signal the group to begin following, dropping the magical barrier he would begin testing the ground for himself to make sure it was stable to move it, though he did learn a lesson about the creatures that he would be sure to follow.

(E) The group went onward and jogged forward towards the Ran node, which was quickly arrived within moments of the group jogging forward. And just then, the bottled up gas that was inside of the pit broke free and made a rather humorous farting sound. Funny, true, but that was put to an end quickly as screeches attracted by the gas and disgusting smell. These screeches sound local and it sparked haste in Serdtse's voice. "Alright, get me down and everybody watch the entrance and make certain that I am protected. It will take a few minutes to really get this thing going." She said, the building was essentially a circular building with only one entrance that was about 20 feet wide, inside was surprisingly stable and un-shattered glass for the flooring that Serdtse sat down on, taking her backpack off and digging through it.

(E) Zaun would have nodded, picking her up and letting her down, He would have motioned for the rest of the group to enter. "Everyone get inside, I shall seal the entrance to the building." He would say, after waiting for everyone to get inside, he would have moved into the building, doing a series of complicated hand signs while he was waiting for them to enter, once inside he would have clapped both hands, placing them on the ground. The earth from in front of the building would have molded to his will, moving itself to cover the entrance, while leaving a slot open at the top for light to shine through, providing illumination.

(E) Silence over took the Ran nodes building, as moments passed the sound of various footsteps filled the general area- slobbered sounds of licking, coughing and gagging was what was heard outside. Clearly somebody or rather, some things had been attracted from explosion of the dead body. "How long is this going to take?" The man asked, the one that had been causing trouble with Zaun and Serdtse before. And in response, she said "Five minutes or so. Give me some time to perform." She said, preparing many stampable seals and marks on the ground- also taking out a paint brush that happened to have been soaked in some kind of powder. She took this brush to brush lines between each mark and seal to create a small pentagon- which she then sat in the middle in a meditation like position. "I will only be able to perform this once every 24 hours." She admitted.

(E) Zaun would nod, still facing the wall. He would continue making another set of handsigns, ready to use them at a moments notice to erect another barrier incase this one fell. He would remain vigilant however, looking around to see if there were any other possible ways they could get through, or if they had known that there were people within the building.

(E) Five minutes pass and with the silence of absolutely no conversations being held, she at least finished the technique she was using. And thus- the group was transported instantaneously. At the cost of nearly all of her energy, she slumped forward on her side and heaved out in heavy breaths- her body nearly exhausted from transporting 10 different people. The area looked nearly identical, however- this one was also blockaded in what was an earth like structure that blocked them in. Yet, it was dark due to the hole that Zaun did create . . . no longer existing. One of the females of the group switched on a flashlgiht after a few moments of silence, only to find that their leader was quite exhausted. "Are you okay?" She asked, aiming the flashlight at Serdtse and quickly getting her to her feet. In return to the concern, Serdtse stood up and nodded her head. "Yeah, yeah- it just takes a lot out of a person to transport others in such bulk, these Ran nodes are supposed to be access through Ran cards- what people used back in the day." She explained, huffing as she got to her feet and put her hands up for Zaun to take her. "It looks like somebody was already here though, we are blocked in. Can you do something about that, Zaun?" She only hoped so. And hoping that he wouldn't attract infected, too.

(E) Zaun would look around cautiously, sharpening his senses to hear for any scuffling of the feet or any moans before nodding, picking her up and placing her on his head. "Do you require a rope to tie you to me or can you hold onto me on your own?" He would ask, moving towards the wall. Carefully he would use hand movements instead of slamming his hoof, he would place his hand to the earth, slowly and quietly clearing a large hole for the group to peek through to check for infected, if none were found he would have finished, removing the barrier completely. He was nervous, this deep behind enemy territory and no escape for 24 hours, this could get bad extremely quick. They had to rely on complete stealth to make it through this alive.

(E) Through the hole would have been found a mass of infected outside, so many that in fact it was an impossibility to know just how many were out there- simply waiting for them to come out. Though, they didn't seem to know of the groups existence yet . . . but it was obvious that it was going to be impossible to get out without actually having to become combative. "I am fine, can you tell me how it looks out there?" She asked, listening to the hissing outside and not quite able to look through the little hole outside either.

The environment? Well, the smallest building in sight was a skyscraper that towered into the sky, and out of sight . . .
