Mysteries of the Deep

Ronan, Neptune
Neptune let a smile cover his lips as he ignored what Delphia whispered to him. Although the maid knew quite a bit about him he'd have to face reality someday and it seemed that day was today. The princess of the Arctic kingdom was beautiful indeed but he never really cared much for looks, personality mattered far more to him. She looked quite similar to him but hers was more natural as his was a condition that came along with his birth. Her hair was a snowy white along with her flawless skin which just took his breath away. Before she could catch his gaze he bowed a bit while offering his hand to her.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Lorelei..." Neptune to a small glance at Glyndwr and Yuval while nodding respectfully and thankfully. Despite never actually laying eyes upon the girl before he remembered all the times his parents had described her beauty to him and it far outmatched what they had said. Her appearance was far more than what he imagined but never the less a small spark of anger was still there for her and her family. Living a normal childhood was not something that graced Neptune's past but instead, those days were spent studying, reading, and practicing what it would take to be a good husband and a good emperor when the day came. It was too late now though. Things would go on and continue how his parents as planned a so much as a rebellious word out of him would make not only him look bad but his parents as well. So, for that reason, he put on a facade.

Yuval Aquilus
Yuval didn't even care if Glyndwr disregarded his title as Captain, after all, he had done the same despite the fact that it was an accident. His turquoise eyes, that matched his hair almost too perfectly, followed every corner and curve of the room when he was around royalty so Lorelei was no different.

"Good afternoon, Princess...." He glanced at the royal advisor once more while narrowing his eyes. Had he really just suggested that his guards were not at top performance as they always were? "They're faring as they always are, perfectly..." Yuval didn't comment on the matter anymore as the Princess requested an escort which he planned to offer his assistant but Glyndwr beat him to it a bit too hastily. Instead, he followed them behind as they seemed to be going in the same direction as he was.

It didn't take long for them to run into Prince Neptune and his maid. Another bow came from him toward the prince but his eyes barely gazed at his maid despite the beauty everyone said she had. She was indeed beautiful in Yuval's eyes but he had more important things to focus on like guards, a wedding, and any possible threats to the amount of royaly gracing the palace.

"Please excuse me, Prince.. Princess... Lord Glyndwr..." Yuval almost said mockingly but it came out normally as he turned and left immediately to go make sure everything was in order, that was his job after all.

Osuna

Osuna clutched her findings to her chest, eyes wandering the ever-growing crowds. The presence of royalty made it difficult to get away, although it seemed that only the people of Shellsworn Empire were the only of such titles remaining. Demolishing the food at the market—the whole purpose she went there, rather quickly. Leaving little to buy for herself, and Erwyn that evening. Gazing at the empty baskets off food the girl's brows knitted together slightly, perplexed by the now lack of food in the market.

Thoughts that swirled in her mind suddenly dropped when she heard a loud yell—causing some of her prizes to scatter from her arms and to the ground. "Oh, goddess!" The merl gasped, quickly reaching for her strange Terragogg items before her Olympic blue eyes shimmering in the lava globes a dawned throughout the marketplace—keeping everything terribly well lit.

"I didn't get them from any stall—more so, found them." The oddly innocent sounding merl admitted, looking over her vastly held collection. Before returning her gaze to the babbling boy. A small smile tugging at her cheek noticing the boy awkwardly scolding himself. Blinking a few times before moving closer to the merboy, she smiled cutely.

Procuring a simple item to show the boy—a simple little music box. Long boney fingers held it in the boy's observation, "It plays music! A sweet little melody that would send a soul to sleep peacefully." Osuna said modestly, turning a little knob a few times before a sweet little tune began to sing through the waters, bubbles coming from the ornate piece dancing around in perfect mechanics.

"I was thinking about gifting it after finding out it plays music; my brother has a soul for music… Thought it'd be sweet for him to have it." Osuna finally spoke up towards the socially awkward boy. Speaking about Erwyn as if they were blood-siblings, it wasn't the case by their startling contrast in appearance. He was beautiful, a handsome creation. She was something considered monstrous—from her recollection, a sight not overly adored.

Lowering her gaze for a moment awkwardly, she felt suddenly depressed by her own harshness. "Ah, do you want one of these items? If not I certainly have more, you're welcome to accompany me back to the ship to gaze at the collection." Osuna babbled shyly, feeling the heat building in her cheeks—although, she blamed the lava globes and the company of an attractive young merboy.

Chef Fiona had sent Saoirse to the market to pick up some last minute items for the feast that was to happen that night. Fiona had decided to blend the dishes of Arctic Icicles with some of the flavors of Sundarata as a way of commemorating the betrothal of their Princess to the Prince Neptune Ronan.

The marketplace had always been a busy place, but today it seemed to be a bit more busier than usual. With the different kingdoms coming together the waters around her seemed to buzz with a certain excitement. Even Saoirse had to admit that she felt it too as she browsed through the different food stalls for what Fiona had sent her to find.

A commotion towards one end of the marketplace drew Saoirse's attention just as she finished making her last purchase. Saoirse gasped at the sight of the Sundarata's colors and sigil and floated up a bit so she could see. Unlike the other females that seemed to fall over themselves at the sight of the Prince, Saoirse's reaction was one of pure curiosity. With so many newcomers coming into the city, Saoirse had used any excuse she could find to leave the kitchen just so she could catch a glimpse of them.

After the procession had passed, Saoirse gasped as she realized that she had lingered to long. Fiona would be furious if Saoirse didn't get these items to her on time. Saoirse left the market and swam as quickly as she could towards the palace.
Feeling a bump on her arm as she went, Saoirse glanced back to see the massive black head of a young orca. Taku seemed to think Saoirse had created a game of tag and swam after her, whistling and clicking playfully at her before bumping her arm again.

"No, Taku," Saoirse said, unable to stop a smile. "I can't play now. I need to get these to Fiona."

Arkadious Whitefin
Arkadious tried not to let a look of disappointment wash across his face as he caught sight of Dot returning to him, with no sign of the mer princess behind her. Though he hadn't exactly been expecting her to either. The two of them may have been best friends when they we're young and had no duties tying them down but now they did and it had put a weird wedge between the two of them.

Most of all, she was a princess in a knew kingdom and she was no doubt busy. He was aware she would likely come to help him when she could, for now however, he'd have to work out another plan.

He pushed himself up, the guard's immediately shifting into a more alert stance, they're eyes remaining on him with suspicion. Ark simply lifted his hand to Dot as the little green and orange fish nuzzled at his hand before swimming around him. "Lorelei can't come, she's busy with royal business." The little fish informed him.

"I figured." He said quietly.

"Oh things are definitely weird between you now," Dit said with a release of bubbled laughter. He immediately shut up as Dot scolded him for being mean.

Ignoring the bickering fish to his side Arkadious slung his bag back over his shoulder with a soft little huff and retrieved the small pipe shaped pole, one that shot out and lengthened into his weapon of choice, a gift he'd received from his best friend. Looking at it now saddened and warmed him all at once. He re-attached it to his waist belt, facing the guard's at last.

"Well, as delightful as this has been, I'm going to have to find my proof and fix this little problem since I'm here to protect my princess," He stated in a flat tone, trying his best to keep the bitterness from his tone. As much as he'd like to just force his way past, he didn't want to cause any problems for his princess and his home kingdom. He also wasn't dumb enough to go against them when he'd never seen them fight.

"I suggest you don't return." The guard growled at him.

"Not happening, I'm meant to be here, so I'll be back." With that he gave a farewell wave of his hand, the action overly sarcastic before he gave a little wave for his little friend's to come along. As annoying as they could be, he liked having them around, he'd known them their whole lived after all.

He headed back towards town, intending to both look for the letter from his king that he'd no doubt miss placed while getting lost himself in the strange new city.

Not paying as much attention as his should have, he didn't see the pair ahead of him, his mind to focused on trying to work out exactly where he may have lost it. He released a started sound as he swam right into a mer, her little Orca friend having sounded eager for a game. "Oh...Uh sorry!" He said immediately.

"You're really not sorry, look, she's pretty!" Dit said, swimming around his head. "Shh," Ark hissed under his breath, his cheeks suddenly deepening in colour. "Yes hust Dit," Dot muttered disapprovingly.

No matter how long he'd been speaking to sea creatures, he still forgot that everyone else didn't hear them. "Sorry..." He muttered again, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

Saoirse

Saoirse had turned to gently push Taku away after playfully bumped her arm again when she found her forward motion stop abruptly as she ran into someone. The basket she had been carrying was knocked from her hands and some of the heavier items sunk to the ground.

"Oh no," she said with a gasped as she quickly tried to gather up the items before the could scatter. "Oh dear, I'm so very sorry. That was so clumsy of me. I should've been looking where I was going."

She looked up at who had run into and paused. The man in front of her looked familiar somehow, though Saoirse couldn't really say how. When he apologized the second time, thinking he was talking to her, Saoirse frowned in confusion.

"It's not you who needs to be sorry," she said as she went back to gathering up her things.

Princess Lorelei Opalite
961baa5e15848912dc17af292f8503ef.jpg

Upon the entrance in the grand halls, Princess Lorelei looked amongst the many decorated members of nobility and royalty—then smiled simply. With a gentle curtsey and expression of thanks; toward both the Lord Advisor and Captain of the Guard for the extension of their assistance.
Lorelei did well to show that she wasn't at all shaken, nor surprised by the sudden interaction of her intended—future husband Prince Neptune Ronan of Sundata. She was however taken aback and surprised by the first-time encounter so soon after her arrival in the noble court of New Atlantis. "Truly, the pleasure is all mine, Prince Ronan." The Arctic Princess greeted so formally, gently touching his outstretched hand and bowing her head respectively. Her body language showed a formal manner to her one-day husband and heir to the Indian Ocean.

Before her, was the man she had been told from the very beginning she'd marry. Since infancy their destiny was decided for them; a matter that Lorelei never quite knew what to think of. It was a matter that she wondered how he completely felt about everything too. Because it was a completely complex matter, that would come to pass with their responsibilities to one another in the near future. After all, her father was wishing to rush along with their marriage as soon humanly possibly.

Soon her gaze drifted over to beauty in the Prince's company—through her father's whispers with many she'd learnt her name was Delphina Eris, a maidservant. Which was truly a shame, because Lorelei knew just by looking at the girl—that she had far more promise than being a maidservant her entire life.

"You must be Lady Delphina, I must extend my humble thanks toward your undying service to the Prince. You've worked hard, and truly I wish to reward you with a humble gift of the Arctic Icicles. The dedication you've given to my soon husband's side and his family will never be forgotten." Lorelei promised in a lightness, extending her hand out to the young woman offering her a gift.

A band of white gold—finely crafted by magic. Crystals formed into an accented detailing. The colouration very much befitting the maidservant. "I hope that you like it," the Princess said with a smile. Before looking once more to the Prince, bowing her head. "I mustn't keep you, no doubt you're exhausted from your journey. It's truly been a pleasure meeting you both."
