Name: Takagi Sunemizuki
Course: Hero Course
Quirk: Keratin Manipulation
Location: Homeroom > Locker room > Field
As the few remaining students made their speeches, they were all rushed out to get changed and move onto the field for some series of tests. The final introductions weren't too special, save for one that was a direct call-out to her. Another who entered based on recommendation, he also didn't at all appear to be very bubbly or excited to be here. Very stoic and cold, a bit like her but minus the taunting. He would be worth watching out for. Takagi could see some of the others letting their limits slip, but this Shouya wouldn't let his guard down so easily. Smirking at the thought of a bit more competition, she proceeded to the locker rooms. She was the last to exit them however as she waited for most everyone to leave before changing. This was not due to any prudish emotions, but simply for the fact that the girl didn't enjoy displaying the markings on her torso. Either people felt off-put by the scars or posed questions she'd prefer weren't brought up.

Moving out on the field in time for the teacher's explanation, it seemed these tests would be used to gauge the versatility of their quirks, the least versatile being subjected to extra courses. Clicking her tongue quietly, Takagi knew she would be put at a disadvantage here. Flashy quirks like the so-called "Pyro Twins" would excel here. They excelled rather easily at whatever they were used for, save for perhaps damage control. However, Takagi's was almost purely combat-focused. Her quirk was highly adept in incapacitating others, even killing if she wished to take it so far, but it wasn't too gifted with much else. Looking towards the others, some appeared to be conflicted as she was. Those with versatile quirks could be picked out from the crowd as they seemed to treat the event with nonchalance. A couple from General Studies even seemed to be flirting. Narrowing her eyes slightly at the two, partly annoyed from jealously of such an interaction, Takagi turned her attention back to the events.

Ball throw. Running. Sit-ups. Long jump. There was nothing here that she could use her quirk in! Though due to her agility, some events she would do fairly okay in, the others she would inevitably fall towards the bottom. With a defeated sigh, she went ahead with it. A while later, after the final test....

Terrible! Awful! Pathetic! Short of the 50 meter dash, side-steps and long jump, everything else was terrible as not only her quirk proved useless in it, but it played directly to her weaknesses. Gritting her teeth, anyone could tell that Takagi was more than upset with her results. After all that talk in the class introductions too—she wouldn't even be able to defend herself if anyone mocked her about it. All that boasting—She would definitely fall towards the bottom of the ranks. If only the test were sparring, then she could've done something!

Name: Yamasaki, Misoka Course: General Studies Quirk(s): Dullahan's Reach Mentioned: @Akashi Shouya @EmperorsChosen Takagi Location: Field Interactions: General-Hero Class Assessment test ongoing, "Power display" with Takagi

Watching the event play out, one of the hero class approached her, Shouya wasn't it? He seemed quite curious about her power, she however couldn't just give a simple answer, smirking in place. "Oh? The arms aren't even my specialty ehehahahaha~! Watch this, enjoy the shooow." Gazing around mischievously there was the hero girl who caught her attention previously, she seemed utterly disappointed in her score, then again Misoka had beaten her, herself in five of the eight events.

Hopefully the girl didn't take this too badly, though she already knew by first impressions the girl would take the bait for her little performance. If she reacted too badly it wasn't as if Misoka was a total ass, nodding her head she would buy the girl an ice cream or do some other act of kindness, kids loved seeing her do this, but Adults tended to freak out for whatever reason.

With a smug smile to her face, she could at least distract the Hero Course Student from her worries, without fear or any long term thinking of the results of her actions she goes up behind the glum girl, grabbing her by the chest and from behind, giving a quick squeeze. "Oh my, real after all, same cup as me I think."

Loosening the connection that kept her head on, Misoka smirks waiting for the inevitable backlash.

~~~
Already tense and disappointed with herself, time that should have been spent studying the quirks of others was wasted as she focused completely on her own failure. If that weren't enough, suddenly she was approached. Though approach likely wasn't the right word to describe it. Rather, a girl from General crept up behind her and groped her.
Takagi didn't see who it was or hear what they said, rather due to all the tension instincts kicked him. Immediately the girl shot into stance ready for combat, tightly grasping the arm of her assaulter, pulling them forward and slamming her right elbow into the face of the attacker. However, something felt wrong. Typically when you hit something, you felt pressure. You felt resistance. Especially considering how dense a skull was, her counter should've been met with weight and pain but instead—it was almost akin to smacking a basketball.
~~~

Oh so this one was a bit jumpy after all. Grinning a bit as the elbow slammed into her head, she had to admit it hurt some, but having removed her connection to her body, the head tears from the neck along the scar line, letting out a short gasp of air, her body suddenly and simply collapses, her head rolling along the ground, eyes closed to the fighter's front.

With a heavy smacking sound, for all intents and purposes it seemed as if she had died from a decapitating strike. After she noted the girl's reaction via her hearing, the blue flame aura encases her body and head. While her body remained where it was, the head floats upwards into the sky, meeting gazes with the taller girl, eyes suddenly flash open with a devilish grin followed by a "BLEH!!"

~~~
Looking back to meet her attacker, Takagi was only met with the crumpled corpse of her victim. With a shocked expression she dropped the girl's arm and just stared at her a few moments. How did she just pop her head off? She didn't even use her quirk! Even if she did, an elbow to the face shouldn't have decapitated her. Maybe break a nose or knock a tooth out—but under no circumstances should she have been able to kill her.
Wasn't this that dismembering girl? That was her quirk wasn't it? Still, just because she could tear an arm off didn't mean she could pop off her head. Maybe that knocked her out? Or was she really dead? Looking down at her, she surely wasn't moving, regardless of what she was.
Looking around, there were already a few watching the scene unfold. This wasn't fair—Takagi didn't want to be seen as a supposed murderer. Just as she was panicking however, she noticed movement, specifically from the disembodied head that was now floating and staring her in the face. With a "bleh", Takagi finally understood that the girl wasn't actually dead. With her face of shock and concern being replaced by one of further aggravation.
"Knock it off you cheap Halloween trick!"
Takagi exclaimed with another smack sent to the floating head, albeit one much looser than before. It seemed even when pissed off she at least knew how to restrain herself, to an extent.
~~~

"Ahahahaha... Ah, I'm sorry, but you looked a little too concerned with this all. Plus I needed an extra from the Audience to answer one of your classmates questions. Though you never know what creepy things are in the dark." Getting another slap for her troubles it seemed Takagi was more than a little upset, but a bit relieved that she hadn't actually killed the girl.

"Ah well I'll make it up to yah with an ice cream, or oh yeah, maybe could go to a mall or something ahaha, I've been wanting to go to a pet store anyways.."

With her body picking it's self up off the ground, it simply walks around and grabs the head, carrying it in her arms as if to be some sort of headless horseman, or Dullahan.

~~~
Growling, Takagi was more than aggravated with the girl. At least she appeared to be remorseful. With folded arms and a click of her tongue, she wasn't too terribly interested in the mock Dullahan's offer, at least not in her current state. The little trick distracted her from current events for the moment, but the fact of the matter was that she still failed for the most part. While some would attempt to rationalize their failures and mistakes, Takagi wasn't one to do so. Regardless of if something was fair or not mattered little.
The last comment however caused her to perk up ever so slightly. Unbeknownst to practically all, but Takagi dearly loved animals and her personality completely turned around when in the presence of them.
"...Perhaps... it could do some good..."
Pausing a moment, Takagi stared at the headless girl. "...Are you planning to walk around like that all day...?"
~~~

"Oh? Okay then we'll have to do that later for sure! Ahaha, no.. of course not. Be a shame if I really lost my head." Putting her head back on by hand, the wound in lack of a better word seemed to reform, tilting her head back and forth, side to side, a slight pop could be heard, but it seemed as if nothing had happened before. "My Quirk is called Dullahan's Reach. As to what else I can do, what good is a magician without a few Tricks? Ehehehehe!" As the blue flame aura disperses as her typical smirk remains ever present. Though she wasn't about to tell exactly how it worked, the extent of her regeneration and most assuredly the limits of her awareness. Nor the fact some of her limbs, notably the head came off depending on how she slept if she wasn't aware..

"It's a shame I didn't think of throwing things at the larger machines in place of just punching them during the test.."

Though who am I kidding with such a grotesque power as they see it, I wouldn't have been selected for the Hero Class either way.. Well I have to keep trying!

Rubbing the back of her head with a soft chuckle, she gives a Japanese style bow, before going back off to where she was standing previously to be out of the way of any others who were still undergoing the test.

"Ahaha, sorry Instructors for disrupting things, I just wanted to have a little fun."

App beamed up at Marina as she gave the shorter girl a little pep talk. "Right! I'm sure you'll do great Mari-chan! Lets just have fun!" She encouraged as they were ushered over to the large plate on the field. Listening to her mother's and Mr. Koda's explanation of the first test she began stretching her arms in preparations, a confident glint in her eyes as she watched some of the Hero and General students take their turns. When the redhead girl from the General class detached her hand from her body App didnt react like most did, she actually found it rather normal considering their society. But also pretty freaking cool.

Seeing Sofie called up she gave her a wave and encouraging thumbs up. In her opinion for someone with a Quirk that didnt help, Sofie did rather well. Next was another boy she didnt recognize with hair similar to hers, he seemed to have some kind of ice Quirk as he covered the ball partially in ice before through it. What surprised her was the mini explosion the occurred midair that sent the ball propelling a good ways. 'Hmmm...Thats an interesting Quirk for sure...' She thought now quite curious of the scarlet eyed boy.

Next was the girl App had seen in the General class spinning a Shuriken. She was very interested to see just what this girl had up her sleeve. What she didnt expect was her summoning a freaking potato gun, she couldnt help the giggle that escaped her lips as she saw this. 'Well thats one way to do it.' She thought with a feeling that her and this girl would get along pretty well in the future. Her invention was pretty dang successful as she got one of the furthest "throws" so far. The last was the dark haired girl from her class that had the cocky cold demeanor that agitated her. Funnily enough her throw was pretty low on the scores 'Guess big talk doesnt always pay off...' She thought although she did feel a little sympathy for her.

Her name was called next, grinning Appolline made her way to the plate. She saw her mother give a hidden thumbs up to her and she gave a subtle nod. Tossing the ball up and down a few times she gripped it tight before taking the stance of a pitcher, but instead of just throwing it she started winding up her arm. Her Quirk allowing her arm to act like slingshot almost as she gained more and more momentum until she finally released the ball. It flew through the air reaching an impressive height before plummeting. Ironically it landed just a little further than the ice boy's ball did. The screen reading 880.6 meters.

Happy with her score she did a little jump with her fist bumped into the air "Yay!" she exclaimed before skipping over to the next test. As she completed each test she noticed her scores were higher than average but not the best, which was fine with her she was just having fun. So when she got an almost perfect score on the Standing Long Jump she was a little surprised with herself. But she did okay on the Repeated Side Steps then abysmal on the Sit Ups right after which was pretty much expected. With the 2nd to last test she did surprisingly well, but she cheated a bit. Using her Quirk she made her legs stretch out so her steps were an average of 12ft instead of the custom 1-2ft.

By the end she was out of breath and her legs were sore as they retracted back to their normal shape. Bending over with her hands on her knees she panted lightly. Wiping her brow she glanced around her at the other students that had finished. Seeing ice boy and redhead she decided it might be a good idea to actually learn their names. Walking over she took a seat on the same bench but a few feet away. Although before she could strike a conversation the redhead decided to pull a pretty gruesome but hilarious prank on Ms. Prissy aka Takagi. Busting out laughing App watched the whole thing play out. "Thats an awesome Quirk! I would have such fun with that. I bet you love Halloween." She complimented the redhead before standing up to hold her hand out to her. "Hiya! I'm Appolline Venetica, but you can call me App." She introduced herself cheerfully.

Yoshio's heartbeat would begin to speed up just a tad as he watched some of the General Studies and Hero students begin going about the various field events. To his pleasant surprise some of the General Studies students weren't half bad; especially that girl from General Studies with the creepy smile. 'What a throw' he thought as he started making his way to the ball throw and was given his ball. Thankfully he had some time to think about how he was gonna go about this first test cause as his father would tell him, you gotta start big to shut up the small fries. Yoshio chuckled at remembering what his father told him before the excitement of the whole thing began taking him over once more. He drew out a single chain from his right arm about two feet in length and weaved the end of the chain into a loose makeshift basket for the ball to rest in. After that Yoshio began to grin a large grin that was however no where near on par with his fathers trademark look as he began to twirl his makeshift chain sling above his head as quickly as his muscles and quirk would allow as a little bit of dust would kick up. When he felt ready Yoshio snapped into action, taking a big step forward as if he was normally pitching the ball but just before the ball would release from the chain sling, Yoshio lets out an excited yell. "YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!" as a loud explosion emanates from behind the ball as the small basket of chains detonate; sending the ball screaming down the field. The final distance reading in at 955 meters. "Dammit, I was trying to break one thousand at least. I suppose that'll do." He said allowed as he walked away from the baseball diamond with a smirk. Doing so however Yoshio had in fact completed two goals. First he did set the new bar for the ball throw and indeed started strong. In addition to that however he also showed up any students who were concealing their quirks as he just revealed the final key function of his quirk.

The blonde kept up his excited attitude throughout the various events as he knew he had to keep it up as he'd long passed simply staying out of extra courses. He wanted the top score. He scored well above average in the 50 meter dash, the long jump and the repeated side steps. Using his explosion quirk to help propel himself in these events. In the grip strength test Yoshio actually wrapped his chains around his hands like gauntlets. It didn't have a drastic effect but it seemed to help get him higher in the average marks. Sit ups and the seated toe touch were fairly normal for him and he scored in the average marks range. What was different however was when he did the long distance run test. Not only did his explosion quirk help propel him with bursts of speed at times but thanks to the years Yoshio had spent playing soccer his cardio was perfect for this kind of thing. He breezed through it with a strong scoring.

Yoshio wiped some sweat from his cheek as he took in some deep breaths, taking the moment to relax a little as the final test hadn't been revealed yet and some other students still needed to step up to the plate. He noticed some students chatting together here and there but didn't make any attempts to join them as doing so never really worked out well for him in the past, least not now. Despite this his mother's words rattled around in his head. You should really try to make some friends at U.A dearie. The boy sighed aloud to himself before looking around to see if he could spot anybody who didn't challenge him that were standing around waiting like him. The ice guy and the limb girl did interest him but the authority girl seemed like a pain. Against his usually instincts the boy made his way over to the group of three and stood there oddly as he watched them...'interact.' He thought about getting back at the Takagi girl for earlier but decided against it as it seemed she was getting enough of that. So he turned to Shouya and just kinda stared at him blankly unsure of how to start any conversation with the guy.

So many students had gone before her. And many of them had done very well. These kids were throwing hundreds of meters. Unfortunately, her Quirk couldn't be used for any of these kinds of tests. Maybe if they had a test that involved securing villains or killing people, she just might excel. One would think that if she was capable of turning a horde of massive robots into stone and defeating them, well enough to make it into the Hero Course, that she should be able to do well on physical tests. But even though she was strong for a young girl of her size, Reika was clearly outdone by the more actively physical quirks.

By the time her feet hit the plate for her turn of the ball throw test, she already appeared defeated. Briefly, her eyes turned back to see Yuuki, who had yet to go. It was certain that he would do amazingly at this test, with a Quirk like his that was so versatile. Don't think about it. Just do your best and get it over with! Reika gripped the ball in her right hand and launched it down the field as far as she could. When it hit the ground, she glanced at the instructor's phone screen to see the number – one she wasn't entirely pleased with. But she had done better than a few people, so it was nice to know that at least she wasn't the worst. It looked like Sora was even weaker than her, though it was something that didn't surprise her. He was more of the emotional type anyway, where Reika played some sports and had a few other reasons for her to have a bit more athleticism than him. Takagi was the one that surprised her. After all that talk and uppity attitude during class, the girl's throw barely made it down the field, and she was outdone by almost everyone else. And there were still more to test…

The rest of the tests went about the same way, for Rei at least. She was pulling average numbers in the 50 meter dash and the repeated side steps. Her best events happened to be grip strength, which she attributed to her constant need to wield granite, and the seated toe-touch which she had somehow beat everyone out on so far. She had a naturally slim frame and was pretty agile so she expected good results here, but it looked like she even beat out the rubber girl. Odd. She must not have been trying very hard… Reika looked Appolline's way in thought for a moment.

The long jump, sit-ups, and long distance run barely did her in and she ranked very low in all three. By the time she reached the end of the long-distance run, she was scraping the bottom of the group and looked like she was dying. She felt like she was dying. The very second that she crossed the finish line, the girl just let her body collapse into some grass, splayed out on her back and panting like an exhausted dog in the summer heat. "Dying… Need… water…" Her tongue; the long, slim, and forked snake tongue, hung from her mouth – long enough to lie all the way down the side of her face and touch the grass beneath the back of her head. "Can't breathe… Wanna die… Someone kill me…" She groaned and breathed to no one. Despite all of her training, Reika had very little endurance when it came to constant motion. She would never understand why this was something that she could not improve.

She would stay on the ground like that until it was time to do something else. For now, all she could think to do was not die from running too much and to pray that she was not in the bottom five.

Once they explained what they would be doing it was a bit of a relief. He should do just fine in most of these, heck he might even be better than some at the test, the first one however would be the Ball throwing with Sora starting them off. Who did kinda.... yeah. He tried though... he hoped. Next one up was this Misoka girl and if looks said anything about not judging, it applied here as that ball went flying. It should also be noted that she detached her arm and did some flame thing. To say he wasn't a bit baffled was beyond him. Some others came and did alright yet the one claiming to be top dog in the Hero's Homeroom started stepping up to the plate. First one was Shouya who threw the ball pretty far and then used his quirk to get it extra far. From this far it looked like a white explosion which could be mistaken for an explosion quirk.
Yet the one who blew this test out of the park was Yoshio, to say he couldn't see where the ball landed was an understatement. Then Reika went up which cause Yuuki to give a little cheer of encouragement even if she scored average compared to others. For natural body strength the distance she got was pretty impressive. It then came for his time to step up, as he stood on the plate and tossed the ball in his hand. A purple pinkish aura generated around him and then the ball. He then arced his right hand back and with a big swing shot the ball up into the air, the aura around the ball leaving a trail as it went further and further then a burst came from it launching it a bit further getting roughly 887 meters. Wasn't the best but it was one of them and with that he was happy.

The next test was the fifty meter dash where he learned Shouya had not an explosion but an ice quirk, which allowed him to get ahead of Yuuki who literally as soon as they were allowed shot his willpower out of his feet to propel him forward. Shouya got 3.69 while Yuuki got 3.68. Literally just under him by the smallest of time possible and apparently behind him by the smallest time possible was Yoshio. Apparently there was someone faster then them, but he for the life of him couldn't see him take off. he needed to work on his observational skills.

The Grip test so far was the one he was coming out on top of, his quirk just worked so well with the test. He was sure some others would be higher if they used their quirk, but for whatever reason they chose not too which was their own choice. He used his as he didn't really waste much of his will by doing something this small. While he ended up tying with Shouya in the Long Jump, where Yuuki decided not to waste his quirk on this time, as he had a fit build and could do average on it to say the least. Of course it did amuse him that the rubber girl nearly aced it like it was nothing. She even seemed so happy about it he would have felt bad if anyone upstaged her which shockingly no one came close too. Except one guy being Lairen but even he couldn't conquer the Rubber girls record.

Then came the test he bombed in. Getting ready for the side steps, as soon as he attempted he knew at that moment he fucked up. When his right foot was in the air and his left skidding on its side, the only thing he was going to get was a very painful lesson. Recovering by pushing off the side of his foot, which hurt like a bitch by the way. He somewhat got in the way it should be done, but his body was still in panic mode and when he landed on his left foot he slipped and bashed his skull off the ground. He put up a thumb up to signal he was okay but his pride was in fact broken like a twig.

Then came the test he needed no quirk for, the test he nailed by far was sit ups, as everyone was tapping out after so long he was still going. Sweat pouring down his face and everything as he kept going and going. Only after a couple of minutes of him realizing he was now the only one left did he actually stop. Taking off his shirt to wipe the sweat from his face, he would tuck it in his pocket before doing the seated toe touch, which was average for him. He wasn't very flexible but god damn was Reika, it actually hurt him seeing her bend like that so easily. He certainly did applaud though.

Second to last test was the long distance run which he was doing good in and even passing others, getting ahead of Yoshio and Lairen. It wasn't until he saw App start bounding twelve feet at a time did he start bursting off the ground with his own quirk. Yet nothing he could do could catch up with rubber girl. So he ended up coming in behind her, which was when they all started waiting for the final test. Breathing heavily a bit he walked over to where Reika was laying down and proceeded to lay down on his stomach pretty much in the same boat. With a gesture from his hand, he made two small energy fans to blow wind on them as they waited. "You... did great.... Reika..." he got out in between breaths, wondering if it was wise to go as hard as he did on some of these tests.

The twins watched as Sora demonstrated the ball throw, not that they needed a demonstration. It was pretty self explanatory. Sairen knew that Sora wouldn't be able to do much with his quirks and predicted he wouldn't be able to throw more than 50 meters. And she was right. 42.5 meters was average for a human with normal strength, so it wasn't a bad score. She only hoped that she and her brother would be able to get a good score on these tests. Hopefully.

Other students went after Sora, some of which got amazing scores, like Yoshio. Even Lairen had to admit he had a high score that was hard to beat. They watched as student after student, high and low scores appeared, giving the twins an idea of what to try and beat. They also took this moment to brainstorm together ways to get the highest score possible for them.

"I suppose your quirk is out," stated Lairen, rubbing his chin. His sister nodded in agreement. "Oh, we can use mine then, like a rocket, you know? Concentrate on one side of the ball and then release. It'll go flying," he said, explaining using incomprehensible hand motions only Sairen seemed to understand.

Soon, it was Lairen's turn. He took the ball in his right hand and concentrated his flames in his palm. He was careful not to release them before they were at their max potential, but even that was difficult. Sparks flew from the sides of his hand as he pointed it up at an angle. When he was at his limit, he released a large amount of flames, which propelled the ball farther and some, but definitely not as far as Yoshio. A sigh escaped him, but he didn't seem down at all. He walked to where his sister had been waiting for him and gave her a high five in sync with their blink, activating their Link quirk. When they both opened their eyes, Sairen had blue eyes while her brother had red.

Sairen stood in the place her brother was previously, a ball in her hand. She was more confident now that she had her brothers quirk. Repeating what Lairen had done, she concentrated all of the flames into her palm, a feat that seemed easier for her than for her brother. She then aimed the ball up at an angle and released, the ball flying with a trail of flames behind it. It had gone noticeably farther than her brothers, yet was nothing compared to the others.

The two walked to each other, exchanging another high five to return to their normal quirks and eye colors. Lairen gave his sister a pat on the head as a silent well done as they moved onto the other tests. The two had exceptional human strengths and worked out often, so they didn't need the help of their quirks for most of them, get they still managed to score decently high scores. Whether it was Sairen or Lairen who got a higher score, the two still congratulated one another. The only other people they paid attention to was Sora and who ever Lairen considered a rival.

After everyone finished their tests, Sairen separated from Lairen briefly to find Sora, finding him eventually through the crowd of tired students. "Umm... Sora!" She said loudly, trying to get his attention while approaching him. "How did you do?" She asked, avoiding eye contact.

SHOUYA AZUHA

His eyes narrowed over Misoka, wondering what she meant. 'A show?' Shouya simply thought to himself, keeping his eyes fixated on the girl. Watching her moving towards his classmate, Takagi, the former groped the latter from behind. Maybe she wanted to tease her because of her results.

Like him, Takagi was one of those who also got in through an official recommendation, but her score was not impressive. Shouya did observe it but didn't say much in that regard. He wouldn't do it later either. You were either lucky enough to use your Quirk in most of these tests, or unlucky. She was the latter, just like Sora when it came to the ball throw.

Shouya pretty much knew that these tests would more or less not determine who is better than the other. Perhaps the last test would shake things up between both the Hero, and the General Studies class. It did not take long before Takagi made an attempt to push or remove Misoka away from her, but what came next was almost if not surprising. 'What?'

'The heads off?!' For a moment or two, Shouya had believed the same thing as his classmate. Did she part Misoka's head from her body? A simple yet confusing question ran through his mind. That's when it quickly came to him. She wanted to show him something. If she could detach her arm, then for her head, it would be possible as well, right? Was she playing dead?

It did not take long before a 'bleh' sound escaped Misoka's lips, confirming his assumption.

"Eh?" A deadpanned expression was plastered on Shouya's face. It was nothing but a bad joke, or so he felt. Her head was not close to her body, yet the latter was plastered on the floor as if it were lifeless. She was alive, and apparently, her head could be detached from her neck as well, just like her arm. This led him to how her Quirk worked, or how he assumed it worked.

Takagi didn't take it well at first, but Misoka wanted to cheer her up because of the results. This obviously obtained the attention from the others in the vicinity. After patching things up with his classmate, and re-assuring the teachers that it was nothing but mere fun and gigles, she quickly returned back to her seat.

Shouya gazed at her with his red eyes before he spoke up. "I've never seen someone with such an odd Quirk. It almost surprised me." If in the future, he were to end up sparring with Misoka, he had already imagined an outcome, though one where he'd come out victorious in.

It was more or less something he began considering based on just observations, and from what she said and demonstrated before him. Not so long after, more and more students from both classes were done with the eight tests. They joined the rest and were simply waiting for what was to come next.

Yoshio's result was on par with his declaration of war back in the classroom, but that again, brought Shouya' back to the fact that these tests can't determine who is the best or not. And then you had Appolline, the one with the laughter and the rubber Quirks. The girl was energetic as always, and striked a conversation with Misoka. She too, had witnessed the joke the former had pulled earlier.

Shouya decided to pay attention to his surroundings and the others who were currently in the middle of their tests, but from the corner of his eyes, he could see that Yoshio was awkwardly staring at him. Shouya sighed. Was he there to gloat? Yes, the son of the famous hero had beat most of the students at the tests. "I wouldn't expect anything less from someone like you, Bakugo-kun."

He bluntly made that clear, looking back at Yoshio. "But we still have one more test remaining."

Sitting on the ground while catching her breath she watched as more and more of the students went up to the plate to take their turn at the ball throw. Some were normal and couldn't benefit from their quirk like her, while others did flashy displays to boost their results. It wasn't until a little later did she notice something that would distract her from watching the other students preform their tests. It was Misoka who approached another student, one Sofie didn't know, and proceed to scare her by grabbing her from behind. At least that was what Sofie thought until she saw the Misoka's head detach from her body, Sofie's mouth was left ajar before she quickly covered it with her hand and started to giggle when she heard the Bleh from Misoka's head. After what seemed like a short conversation Misoka and the other girl seemed to patch things up before Misoka returned to where she was standing before.

Sofie's eyes followed her until she noticed someone. Oh yeah he did end up getting one of the best scores on the ball throw, i wonder if he saw me do my tests? she thought to herself as she looked in Shouya's direction, she soon got back to her feet and was about to walk over to him when suddenly the Bakugo child approached him without so much as a word. Sofie couldn't help but chuckle a little knowing Shouya would likely give him some cold look, followed by whatever first came to his mind. None the less she went to approach the two anyway.

With a wave and a holler she carelessly approached the two male students "Shouya, that was sooo cool watching you obliterate that ball, you got a high score too. Where were you hiding this awesome quirk of yours?" She asked having observed all he did during the ball throw thanks to her eyes. She was happy to see her friend, after hearing he made it in off of recommendation, while she barely made it into the general class. She wasn't intentionally ignoring Yoshio, but nor was he saying anything so she didn't believe he would mind her talking to him.

After his speech, he noticed Takagi go immediately after him. Even though she introduced herself, she probably did the smartest thing among every person that had made introductions thus far, with the exception of Red who inadvertently did the same. Choosing not to reveal her quirk in front of everyone. That pretty much made it impossible to determine just what she could do... if she left it at that. But she had done the polar opposite of what Yuutsu did. Whereas Takagi chose not to reveal her quirk but admit that she got in through recommendations, Yuu revealed his quirk but did not admit he also got in through recommendations. Choosing to do so would be putting too large of a target for oneself.

After returning to her seat, he heard Takagi thank him for the rose but she also told him that befriending her would not mean that she'll hand over a victory to him in a silver platter. He chuckled at the remark and faced her with determination in his eyes.

"I wouldn't have it any other way, Takagi-san. And for the record, I befriended you not for such a petty reason. Truth be told, I'm socially awkward and it seemed like you were the least busy person at the time so I decided to talk to you. I could confidently say, however, that choosing you was probably the best decision I've made since stepping into U.A. Admittedly, that little stunt I did may have been a bit over kill. I should have thought of what you did instead since it's the more tactical approach." Yuu replied.

Shortly after Takagi, a white-haired student introduced himself to everyone next. Yuu didn't see this person enter the room so either he had been in the room and Yuu didn't notice him beforehand or he had some sort of quirk that hides his presence from people. Probably just the former though.

The guy introduced himself as Shouyo and like Takagi, didn't announce his quirk. Interestingly enough, he told her that he also got in through recommendation. He also had a few words to say about Yuu which he kinda expected because of his own speech. The black haired boy named Yuuki Ishida also introduced himself and broke the developing trend of people hiding their quirks by showing everyone what he could do.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By this time, Yuu had spaced out, reevaluating his approach. Seeing Takagi's strategy naturally made Yuu want to integrate it to his own as it would be very advantageous if he only showed the full extent of his abilities when necessary. Then again, he also needed to impress quite a bit after he delivered that speech. Stuck in the middle, he was lost in thought about what the most appropriate course of action would be, and as a result he couldn't quite focus on the other students' performances, only getting brief glimpses of it. He would remain like this until his own name has been called by the homeroom teacher.

Some of the most notable ones he did note was Red using a potato gun to launch the ball, Shouya's fancy ice explosion, Yoshio's explosive and aggressive display, and most shockingly, a girl from general studies losing an arm in the test but it turned out to be one of those rocket arm techniques that could be attributed to those old school mecha anime. It was quite a shock to see it but it just goes to show how diverse everyone's quirks are. He aso noticed Takagi performing rathera poorly but knowing her, it might just veryhow well be a feint to let others underestimate her.

He approached her cautiously and patted her shoulder before offering her a gentle smile.

"Performing poorly to bait others into underestimating you... that's really smart of you Takagi-san. I'm looking forward to seeing what you could do when it really matters!" Yuu told her enthusiastically.

Afterwards he reverted to his lamentations on his performance.

"Damn... I really need to work on this.... I ended up only getting bits of information about the other students. Stupid Stupid Stupid!!" He thought in self derision.

After he took a deep breath to calm his nerves, Yuu stepped towards the platform and grabbed a ball. Afterwards, he conjured a bow out of nowhere together with an arrow that looked like a cross between a sword and a drill, both items levitating in front of him. He affixed the ball by impaling it at the tip of the spiral sword before loading it on the bow. As he pulled at his makeshift arrow, the sword seemed to stretch back further as well until it now resembled more of a straight arrow. He began aiming at the sky at a 15 degree angle while focusing at a seemingly invisible target. Another sigh then escaped from Yuu's lips, then he was enveloped by a dark aura. And as Yuu fired the arrow, a shockwave was released and the arrow began sailing at seemingly impossible speeds. As the arrow hit the 700 meter mark, he caused the arrow to explode in mid-flight, sending the ball farther until it fell at about 945 meters. While he didn't beat Yoshio Bakugo's score, he managed to nail second place and the difference between their scores was only a few meters.

"That should do for now. Start off strong then the rest of my scores can be above average. Anyways, since I won't use that, such a performance would be acceptable." Yuu thought.

And so it happened as he said. The rest of his tests yielded above average to what can be said as scores attributed to heroes except for his grip strength where he barely managed to score an average. He also didn't manage to get any of the highest scores for any of the test but his performance was consistent, at the very least, except for his flimsy ass grip. This way, nobody would know that he had been holding back while at the same time maintaining his reputation as a serious competitor. By the looks of it, Yoshio Bakugo had scored relatively higher than the rest but it may be due to his drive to prove that he is number 1. Yuu had no interest of doing that at this moment. It was just an assessment test from the looks of it. The gray haired boy would only exert effort when it mattered.

Although he knew his score was gonna be poor given his lack of serious muscle and a useful Quirk, but seeing a girl that barely reached his chest out throwing him without the use of a Quirk as far as he could tell...Ya that stung a bit. Folding his arms over his chest Sora stayed to watch student after student take their turn with the Ball Throw instead of proceeding to the next test like the others. He was going to take this chance to analyze his fellow peers strengths and weaknesses, as well as techniques. So he stayed toward the back of the crowd with his unsettling gaze focused on the "pitchers mound".

He had to admit, some of his classmates Quirks were interesting to say the least. He couldnt help the smirk that came to his lips as the girl known as Red conjured a Potato Gun of sorts. 'Well at least she has creativity....' He thought, impressed. Unlike others around him he didnt react to Shouya's or Yoshio's throws, given their statements from before he figured as much. He did find it a little amusing to see the prim and proper Takagi's throw fall just short of his own. Irony at its fullest.

As the group began to thin out to only a few students Sora decided it was time to finish the rest of the tests. Completing them one by one he got average to mediocre scores which wasnt all too surprising. Although the Repeated Side Steps he managed to get a pretty high score with, his speed and coordination benefiting him in that department. While the Seated Toe-Touch was a failure, he just couldnt stretch like that. Just seeing some of the others doing it so easily made him cringe, his hamstrings still throbbed. His Sit Ups score wasnt too bad either, his endurance proving to be one of his more valuable traits.

Finally the Long Distance Run test came to pass. He kept a pretty good pace throughout the run, slowly accelerating as he did. His score was just below Shouya's which was surprising given the guy's Quirk. 'Guess he didnt feel bothered to use it...' He thought with curiosity. As he finished he took a few deep breaths, just a little out of breath, running was a daily routine for Sora so this wasnt all too hard for him. It seemed everyone was taking a little break as they waited for the 9th and final test to be explained. A smart move he guessed so the students could show their full potential after recovering.

He noticed a small group of students by one of the benches that were laughing about something he apparently missed. While another pair was laying in the grass looking half dead. He wasnt really sure how to approach either group though, initializing conversation was not his strong suit. Luckily he didnt seem to have to as a familiar voice chirped from behind him, turning he saw Sairen avoiding his gaze. "Oh hi there..." He responded with a small smile, frankly surprised that she had approached him. "Me? Eh alright I guess, my Quirk's are sadly useless with these kinds of tests heh. How about you?" He inquired back gently.

Noting one of the tests in particular, the son of the Hero seemed to be meeting up to his name. The other males with the exception of Sora also performed rather admirably. The rubber girl also stood out with the potato gunner, overall it was fairly interesting watching them all. While she still maintained a rather respectable place on the throw, toe touches and sit ups, the rest of her score was not all that impressive, her sprint was horrible. She fully expected she and Takagi would end up in the after school classes, baring she herself made it out as someone else did worse. Sure she had a couple impressive scores but would that be enough?

Returning to her spot it wasn't long before the enthusiastic rubber girl came running, commenting on her power and questioning if she loved Halloween before introducing herself. "Ahahahaehehehe... Ah Yes I love Halloween! More so dressing up as the headless horseman! Though I do little tricks like this for kids when I can." Holding out her had, she wouldn't let her arm come off in this case, they already knew anyways. "App huh? Hmm..Ven...ver..." Attempting to pronounce the last name, she gives up before introducing herself in turn. "Yamasaki, Misoka, Misoka is fine."

Turning her attention, it seemed two newcomers had joined their little circle as Shouya speaks up to her, causing her to giggle slightly as she stares up to his eyes.

"Oh? Almost huh? Maybe I should take an interest in surprising you then, ehehehe. What an interesting fellow." With her aura suddenly leaking out it made the remark meant in jest and fun a bit more serious than it needed to be. Looking on it seemed a white haired student, Yuutsu if she remembered correctly had taken an interest in Takagi, or was rather complimenting her.

But the nature of it would likely just upset the girl more she was willing to bet. She could tell Takagi had tried her best, maybe her quirk just wasn't suited to this, or luck had not been on her side. Pondering to think of someway to amuse or distract her it may be best to leave this situation be. If things got worse then maybe try and encourage her a little or offer an Ice cream. They all were comrades weren't they? Though maybe things wouldn't get so bad, turning her head back the overall best in show seemed to have the social skills of a brick as Shouya breaks the ice with him.

Ehehehe Break the Ice with the Ice man...ehehehe.

Lingering on this thought, an irony of a sort was there. Now there was nothing to do but wait on that final test, to see what she needed to do and what her overall placement would be in the grouping.

Just as she had expected, Yuuki did quite well in his tests. Even if he wasn't athletic at all, a power like his has so much potential. The thought of it, and the other students' Quirks, kind of brought a strange feeling over her. They were like superheroes – the kind you could write comic books about. Any appearance she would make in a comic book would be as a miniboss villain dressed in snakeskin and hissing. It was only her first day at school, but the idea of being hated like that was really depressing.

She lifted her head long enough to see a few of the other students laughing and playing about with each other. It looked like they were having fun. Must be nice. Reika dropped her head back down, staring up at the sky. There was one test left. One test that she was sure would go as miserably as the first eight. How did she get into the Hero Course in the first place if she couldn't do well on these kinds of tests? The self-loathing was strong with this one, at least until she heard footsteps approaching.

Yuuki was panting from his run, but not nearly as badly as she was. For some reason or another, his words caused something strange to happen in her brain. The girl started giggling. It was something she'd never done before, not once, but she laughed. It built until she was giggling uncontrollably and holding onto her stomach. Maybe it was the fact that someone was showing some support for once? Or the fact that she'd done terribly, so the comment was funny? Whatever it was, she really didn't want the feeling to stop. When the girl was finally able to pull herself together again, she offered kind words in return.

"You did…really well…" If she wasn't still out of breath from running, she was now gasping for air from laughing. "As expected… it was awesome." She grinned over at Yuuki, enjoying the nice breeze from the fans he created and thankful for the cool air. "I can't wait to see… what you do on the last test!"

Yoshio's eyes opened just a tad more as Shouya spoke to him. The blonde boy took the first part as a decent compliment though for Yoshio even more so as he never received such things often but then the second part basically saying that it wasn't over yet. He was genuinely happy about the whole thing despite is social awkwardness so much so that his normal mask of a personality cracked a bit as he smiled softly. Just as he was about to speak however as he just opened his mouth and breathed; presumably one of the girl from general studies came over hollering and waving to Shouya and started speaking to him as if he was an old friend. Yoshio's head slumped down a little as he let the breath escape past his lips in defeat. At the moment he looked around and saw plenty of the other students mingling together and chatting it up with smiles and laughs. The boys heart sank into his feet as he turned back to Shouya and the white haired girl and gave a really short and silent head boy as if to be apologizing before turning around and walking away from the two as well as a good distance from everyone else.

He sat down, crossing his legs once he was away from everyone else and simply stared down at the ground. He picked up a blade of cross and mindlessly twirled it between his fingers as he thought to himself silently. He remembered how this way the same as it was last year, the year before that and so on. Then Yoshio remembered a conversation he had with his father one year after Daiki had already left and became a villain.

What's the point of being at the top if there's no one there to celebrate with...? I don't understand you dad...
There isn't anything to understand! You become the best because anything less just means your a loser!

Then why did brother do what he did?
He's the greatest loser! One stain in this world that I will utterly destroy!

But big brother was...
Don't you dare mention him again! Look at what he did to your arm! That bastard is no member of this family!

Yoshio would continue to sit quietly until the final event is announced.

Marina smiled as she watched with excitment as her fellow students took there turns. Some were rather impressive, not that it mattered to her if they were stronger. After all, even the strongest has their weakness.

When her turn came up Marina walked up to the field. "Ball throw, huh....welp, let's see how this goes.", She stepped up to the ball. She took the ball in one hand, flexing her fingers around the texture. She spread her legs in a stable stance and threw the ball. Ding ding, "47". Personally she did better than she thought she would. After all, softball was never her sport of choice. Even when playing with the local kids.

Marina continued with the rest of the testing, doing pretty well in the next three. One in particular, grip strength may have made some of the boys wiggle with discomfort. All Marina did was smile sweetly as she scored high. Finally her energy started to dwindle. A snack would be nice right about now.

She sluggishly made her way to sit ups. It is at this point that she began to question her life choices. Should she have not eatten that crossont with nutella filling? "Nope, that was tasty." She responded to her own question. She slumbed back in a huff once she completed her 13th sit up.

When there was a break she ran off to her locker. Gluping down a sweet tea drink before returning to the field. She finished the last two test as average. Good thing she brought her bags of goodies.

Marina lined up and waited with everyone else for the next rounds. "I wonder if the other girls are doing ok.", she said to herself as she waited.

U.A. Mock Battleground

Both teacher's watched as student after student completed each test with scores all over the board. Once the 8 tests were completed they decided to give the group a breather and let them recoup for a little bit before approaching them once again. "You have all done very well. Its time to start the 9th and final test!" Venetica announced before motioning everyone to follow her and Koda. They would walk off the field and through a large steel tunnel for a minute before reaching the otherside to reveal a very different landscape.
(semi-aerial view)

They entered a large grassy clearing surrounded by forests, rivers, hills, cliffs, and so on. They were all led to a tower in the center of the clearing, stopping in front of it. "Alright everyone I'm going to explain your next test now!" Koda called out to grab everyones attention. "This test will be a mock battle of sorts. You will be split into 2 teams, your objective is to capture the other team's flag and bring it back to your "base" while simultaneously guarding your own flag. Both flags are in play until one reaches the opposing team's base. Any questions?" Koda paused to answer any questions before continuing. "Alright now we will select the students for each team."

Venetica stepped up with a list in her hand. "Team 1 will have... Reika , Lairen , Marina , Yuutsu , Sofie , Shouya , Misoka, and Yuuki. Team 2 will have... Red , Takagi , Yoshio , Sairen , Queen , Appolline , Sora, and ??? (TBA)" She explained calling out each name then signaling the specified student to step to the left or right. "Alright, each team will start off at their own base and be given 10 minutes to prepare and/or strategize before the battle will be begin. The only rules are no fatal blows/actions or anything of the sort, you have a time limit of 2 hours, and once a person admits surrender or is unconscious they are out of the battle and will be removed to a waiting area. Further action against them will be a penalty to that perpetrator's team." Koda explained sternly.

Venetica led team 1 to their base and Koda led team 2 to their's, each on the opposite side. Each team was given a large pack of essentials such as water, some power bars, rope, first-raid kit, comms to communicate with each other, ect. Retreating back to the tower, Venetica and Koda watched from atop it before shooting off a flare gun to signal the start of the 9th test.

Hearing her name called out after the group moved on, it seemed this was some sort of Capture the Flag game. Listening to the details, there were no questions she herself had. The procedure was pretty straight forward. Here have some basic supplies, more than they needed for two hours. The communications gear would be useful, but also potentially an annoyance. Not knowing much of what her team was capable of, Misoka wasn't very interested in getting into leadership disputes, but she had to at least present her own case, and attempt getting some form of team work going. If no one else wanted the job then she would attempt taking it.

From her small observations not all that many who entered this school was good at team work, and not matter how large Gulliver was the small people could bring them down with numbers at tactics.

"Sooooo~! Who's going to be the boss here, eh? Either way, I would like to volunteer to capture the enemy flag, or to scout out for our group. You've all seen what I can do, so long as it's close enough I could snatch the flag from hiding, or use my head to watch movements from any place high up without actually needing to climb up. Though with this woods and scattered openings we might be forced into one on one confrontations.. Course we always could just rush off without a plan."

With her typical smirk the girl gives a shrug of both shoulders. "Well just a suggestion." Waiting to see who would speak up next, or at least how things would progress, there was little else for her to do.

After letting the students rest, the teachers walked the students around to a clearing. Reika was still recovering from her long-distance run but she wasn't panting like an animal anymore. With her hands on her hips and her sunglasses back on her face – for sun blocking purposes now, she wandered along with the group. When the teacher picked teams, Reika took a few steps onto the Team 1 side. More names followed, ending with Yuuki which made her face light up in a smile. Wooo! "Ishida!" She threw her hands up in the air and then quickly dropped them back down.

Reika focused back in on the teacher and her explanation of the last test. Capture the flag? Hmmm. It was a game that she had never played before, but it seemed like a reasonable test. For a moment, Reika scanned Team 2, wondering if any of them had any super strength. Considering the first set of tests, it didn't seem like anyone had strength specifically. She tapped a finger on her bottom lip in thought. She may actually be able to do some good in this test. She did an internal fist pump and followed the teacher to their base.

Once they were there, a girl she hadn't met before went ahead and jumped in to her part of the strategy. She recognized the girl as the one who had detached her arm during the ball throw test. And now, it sounded like she was capable of detaching her head too. Well, that could be really useful. The girl stopped talking and Reika nodded in agreement since no one else had said anything. "I think you're right. That sounds like a good idea." She gave a small smile and then put one hand up a little to give her own input on her part. "I think I'd be best on defense. I can slow or stop people and make it incredibly hard to take the flag."

Right after Sofie had started her conversation with Shouya, everyone else had finished up their tests for the time being. She was awaiting his reply to her but before that the teachers started to speak once more. They said the students would now be moving locations to a different area for their final test of the day. Going through a tunnel of sorts the two classes were brought to a new area of the school where the scenery varied greatly. The teachers quickly explained that the students would be playing a game of capture the flag, the teams already decided for them they would have to take what supplies they were given and then prepare for battle. As the teacher called out her name for team on she sighed in relief knowing she had some friends she could talk to on this team.

As her team gathered in the position they were told to, the first one to speak up was Misoka, saying how she believed she would be of most use on offense. Nodding Sofie stood there quietly before another girl started to speak, one she had not met yet. She agreed with Misoka before stating she would prefer defense as she was good at slowing and stopping people. Sofie was unsure of what kind of quirk the girl had but nodded none the less as people seemed to stay quiet for now.

It was then that Sofie decided to speak her mind, getting the attention of the group with a quick whistle she then spoke " Well everyone i have an idea, my quirks are super eyesight and illusions for those who don't know. I was thinking i could either support the team by getting someplace with a view and doing callouts on who i see with my eyes as well as setting up a few traps. Or... i could cast an illusionary box around or flag concealing it from sight so the enemy team wouldn't be able to find it, can't grab what you can't see hehe. The only downside would be i would have to stay inside it to keep it going." Sofie would say explaining her ideas about how her powers could help them win the final test.

Listening to the teacher closely Red was excited she was gonna be able to use her quirk more. Capture the flag huh. It was like those video games Call of Modern Quirk Ops (lol). She played them often but was never really good at them, which is surprising considering her quirk. But she knew the concept and the basic tactics. They were called out into groups, and reminded no fatal blows, so no real bullets for Red, Yoshio was on her team, her only friend if that's what you'd called someone you only talked to for a minute.

Red found her way to the rest of her team when she spotted Yoshio. Walking up to him she sighed in relief. "I'm sorry we didn't get to finish our conversation earlier, you were great in your exams" she said scratching the back of her head. "It was kind of surprising figuring out your dad is a pro hero, but that's really cool." she said saying 'cool' in English with a thumbs up, trying to make small talk before the start.
