"Yeah, thanks Octavia, I'll be sure to ask." Liar. She's right there and you have a load of things to ask her. What kind of food do you like? What's your favorite color? Why do you enjoy singing so much. You were in musicals? Honestly, there was a lot about her that seemed to live just beneath the surface. A secret Octavia in a manner of speaking. Still Yosuke simply left that on it's own, to save for another moment. He likely wouldn't be able to speak candidly in such a large group.

Yosuke moved to the back, into a nearby closet space, sorting everything he could to make sure they were able to easily grab any ingredients or plating they'd need. Yosuke was left alone, only able to hear the soft murmur of his classmates the room over.

"So Octavia, I was wondering if you'd want to go and see some of the other activities. No no no... Hey Octavia, why don't we both head out for a bit- Yosuke spent the time talking to himself, trying to find the right way to ask her. Why go through all this work for this? He felt foolish. He felt like a kid in middle schooler, but he still couldn't help feeling like he needed to do this right. After a few somewhat cringe inducing attempts, he just gave up, sulking and sliding to the floor.

"This is ridiculous. I guess Amaris was right about me just not being able to just say it." He remembered the day at the mall, and the dog girl. Although he had actually said he'd like to see her again, he never actually did anything about it. No number was given, no date was set up, nothing. All he did was say, you're cute. He does that all the time! "But actually asking someone out is hard..." He put his head into his lap for a moment, letting out a sigh of

"That's what you are seeing Yosuke - Pay attention to what you know."

His head shot up and he looked around. It was only the words of Muscle Wizard again. She was talking about how he reacted to a feint, but for whatever reason, that comment came back to him. What did he know?

"I want to get to know Octavia better."

Well that's a start at least. He stood up, and put on a Buttlery posture and cleared his throat.

"Good Day Lady Octavia. If you would desire, I'd wish for-No no goofy jokes, or cocky bullshit." He took a deep breath and returned to his normal posture, getting ready to try again. "Hey, Octavia, after our conversation the other day I've been wanting to hang out with you more. Get to know you better. Do you want to walk around the festival for a bit? Just us?"

He said clearly, his back turned to the door, unaware if anyone else would walk in and catch him saying this.

Ichirou | Honoka and Chiasa

@Demon Shinobi

The two girls silently watched Airi as she went ahead claiming Masaru as her own. However, she would feel a pair of eyes glaring into her, but neither of them belonged to the twin girls, and it most certainly wasn't jealousy for what she was doing to the ice user.

Ichirou couldn't believe she had the balls to do something like that in front of his kid sisters. What the hell was she thinking?! And now he'd have to be the one to explain to them why people kiss necks and why they shouldn't do that to mom, dad, or anyone they meet! God, not even an hour here and his sisters already spurred up a damn mess that he would have to clean up, and now he had to deal with Airi too.

He took a deep breath to relax himself. Control your emotions... That's what dad said. Control... Control...

As he was doing this, both girls would approach Airi and tug at her skirt.

"But Ichi can't be the cheater! He's not a monkey! You're the monkey so that makes you the cheater scumbag!" Honoka argued.

"Yeah! Cheaters turn to monkeys!" Chiasa added. "Being a cheater scumbag is no good you know. But maybe you won't be a monkey anymore if you say sorry."

It took Ichirou a moment to figure out a plan of attack to reason with his sisters, and another to find the perfect angle to execute it. He knew he shouldn't have let that way of thinking continue, but he had let it cause he thought it would be funny. He thought them thinking cheaters turn to monkeys would be something they would laugh and cringe at later. But now it's gone too far... He could feel a pain in his head and in his body. The stress of it all was impeding his recovery and he knew this. Today was supposed to be easy and not so stressful, and yet not even an hour into it and his sisters were already becoming nuisances.

Ichirou looked at the girls.

His sisters' logic was entirely flawed, but they were children. You don't reason with children, you persuade them. It requires a bit of manipulation; to let them think they came to a conclusion on their own when really you were the hand that guided them there. But if you can get the end result you wanted, then you do what it takes so long as you don't seriously traumatize them.

He was going to end this before it got ugly.

He quickly moved over to his sisters and turned them around to face him, then crouched down to get to their level. Due to their height differences, it was almost comical how low he had to go.

"Guys. Jumanji isn't real."

Both girls looked at him confused.

"What do you mean? Of course it's real!" Honoka's fists were in front of her and she puffed her cheeks out angrily.

"The cameras caught everything that happened, like how documentaries do." Chiasa added. "You said so yourself big brother."

"I was kidding. It's a thing called "special effects" that they do for movies. Make up. Props. Play pretend. Cheaters don't actually turn to monkeys, and the world isn't going to become crazy if you play the board game." Ichirou explained to them.

The two girls gasped in disbelief at him, both putting their hands on their hips and puffing their cheeks at him in pouty glares.

"Liar liar pants on fire! You're just trying to defend the monkey!"

Which was true, Honoka got him there.

Ichirou took a second to think before responding, "Yes, but tell me Honoka and Chiasa. You two are smart, right?"

"Yes." Both girls said in unison.

"Okay. Now how else could the nice lady be a monkey, besides being a cheater?" Ichirou asked them.

Both girls cocked their heads, Honoka looking upwards with her index finger tapping her bottom lip. Meanwhile Chiasa was stroking her chin with her index finger and thumb.

"Her quirk!" They both said together.

Ichirou nodded his head in approval. "Yes. Now think about this. Masaru and I aren't actually boyfriends. He and I were playing pretend, like the special effects you saw in the movies."

He'd told them a thousand times that Masaru and him weren't dating, but if he let them come to the conclusion on their own, then maybe he could put an end to those jokes from them.

"So...it's a lie?" Chiasa asked him, earning a nod from her brother.

"Wait! If it's a lie, then that would explain why Masa-kun didn't turn into a monkey! He's not a cheater because he and Ichi weren't dating! He was a lonely boy!" Honoka realized.

"That means the tacky furry can't be a cheaty scumbag either because she's already a monkey because of her quirk." Chiasa added.

"And the way you two were acting to her was totally unacceptable."

Both girls looked at him quizzically.

"You called her a cheaty scumbag and a tacky furry. Both of you were acting like giant wieners." He told them, earning gasps and shock and two faces that looked like they were about to cry.

"Eh?! B-But we're not wieners!"

"Especially big ones!"

Ichirou shook his head slowly, "I don't know... From what I saw, you two were being super mega wieners."

Both twins looked ready to burst into tears. Ichirou had no idea why this was working but he rolled with it.

"But Chiasa. You said that if the nice lady apologized, she wouldn't be a monkey anymore. What if the same worked about being wieners?" Ichirou asked them.

Just like that, both Honoka and Chiasa pushed Amaris out of the way and clung to Airi's legs, one hugging the left and the other the right. Both girls looked up at Airi with the saddest little faces.

"W-We're sorry miss!"

"Really sorry!"

Aurora Tamoyo

"Better go with the last one Octavia isn't one for the dramatics," A voiced spoke behind Yosuke as Aurora appeared behind lightly tapping the boy on the shoulder with a sigh. With hands on her hips she turned him around sizing him up she puffed out her cheeks... maybe this was for the best? Clapping her hands together as her hair threw out the trash she gave Yosuke a solid look. Finally pointing at him with one big piece of advice.

"Just be natural, and be your usual self. Girls don't care for theatrics Yosuke they just want you to be you so they know what they are truly getting into. Just treat her as you normally would, but while asking questions for you to converse naturally... just some advice... I guess I am rooting for you," Aurora grinned with a raised thumb before leaving the boy to his thoughts her hair quickly fixed his look tidying him up like a mother.

"Oh make sure to win her something tonight alright that'll get you some points easily," with one final somewhat rough pat on his shoulder she headed back to see the results of Ichirou's explanation to his sisters. Well from the teary eyes it was clear Ichi had found a way to defend himself and Airi, but had clearly broken his sisters sense of reality so it was not a complete victory it seemed.

"Way to kill child wonderment Ichi," she sighed plucking the girls off Airi with her hair pulling them towards herself as she smiled.

"How would you girls like to meet a real dragon who serves delicious sugary cupcakes to good girls," Aurora offered giving a better distraction to avoid anymore childhood scarring from Ichirou mission to defend his sexuality though he did do a good job if Aurora was fully honest... though it would be intriguing to see how Auntie Chitose felt about her son telling them their favorite movie Jumanji was fake given her record of wanting them to believe in things as long as possible. Hauling the girls off Aurora paused a bit away near Isamu.

"Hey can I get a special batch for the heartbroken wonderment of two adorable girls," Aurora asked kindly with a big smile handing Isamu enough money for a good sized batch.

"I'll be back to work boss once I get these two seated," she chuckled with a maid pose before sitting the twins down rushing back to Isamu to help out in the kitchen with her hair quickly washed as she hummed melodiously.

"Alright whatcha need done boss I have a dozen helping hands at the ready." She smiled as her metallic blond hair wove into a dozen braids with hand like tendrils at the ends of each.

As requested by Aurora, Jet had made his way over to the table with the siblings hauling a rather healthy plate of cupcakes. placing them down between the girls he bowed lightly at them with a toothy smile, and the ever growing look of a dragon butler as his horns, and tail were on full display with clawed hands at the ready.

"Would the young ladies like anything to drink," technically he was suppose to be coordinating with Mimi, but for some odd reason she was somewhat... avoiding interaction with him at the moment. Hopefully she was alright, but he could check on her later since Aurora, and the others could help with the other orders.

"... Or would you like to see a trick curtsy of a mythical dragon," it was a little rough to not laugh at himself with that line, but he did have experience entertaining kids from his village with tricks of his quirk.

Amaris Alucard

Forced to pull away from Airi, the vampire maid looked at the two girls who took her place, clinging to the busty monkey lady. She blinked at the small female humans, wondering what this was all about. Only a moment later and Aurora came over to talk with them. The conversation wasn't terribly interesting though. The booby hug that was supposed to be enjoyed, had only briefly risen her body temperature, and hadn't been satisfying as it should've been, Amaris felt like.

Her lips visibly formed a small frown, staring at the two female humans who she didn't recognize. She didn't know it was her own mother who had rescued them not too long ago. She glanced from them towards the white-haired male. "Your siiblings..?.." she murmured to Ichirou, staring at him. He had siblings...

With one glance back at Airi, something caught Amaris's nose, pulling her out of her funk. "N!" She perked up, eyes gaining a bit more of that pink back, as she sniffed the air. Noticing exactly what it was, Amaris followed her nose back towards Mimi who was apparently in the process of baking cupcakes! Her nose pulled her towards the batter. Little Amaris leaned over, sniffing the cupcakes, eyes widening. She looked towards Mimi with a bright hopeful look! Though she could tell it was Mimi's blood. "You put your own blood in them?" she asked, surprised at someone being so devoted to baking her a batch of blood cupcakes! Amaris could scarcely believe it. Since it was such a niche thing. Only she could eat a batch of blood cupcakes. No one else could stomach it, and would end up sick. That meant Mimi was making this batch of her own bloody cupcakes specifically for Amaris!! That made her eyes glitter and water, as she stared at the busty cook with adoration.

Yosuke was quick to turn around, jumping at the sudden touch of Aurora. The two of them hadn't spent much time together at all. But regardless, either due to pity or... Yeah probably pity, she offered her own advice on the subject. He felt a little strange as she sized him up before giving a look of... acceptance? No it was more like resignation. He honestly wasn't certain what to feel about that.

"Uh... Thanks Aurora." He listened to her advice, but somethings gave hims more questions than answers. However, nothing she said helped nearly as much as her vow of solidarity. Even if it seemed a little unearnest. "W-Well, I'm just trying to get to know her better first is all... But I'm glad to hear you support me... I think..." And just like that, she was gone.

That was perhaps the longest interaction he ever really had with her. And it was a good one. Honestly had it been Cupie or Charlotte or Jett who came by, Yosuke wouldn't feel as confident about this.

He spent some more time rehearsing just a bit more, trying to find the right thing to say. "The golden boy has returned." Is what he would normally say. Seeing that the group had dispersed a little, he took a moment to breath in. "Well, everything's all organized back there. So if you need anything it should be easy to get." He set off to straighten and set up tables. They had almost everything in its place to open their cafe in earnest, instead of just loitering and doing nothing in particular. As he passed by Octavia he didn't say anything, just smiled as he passed by, before calling back to Isamu. "Hey Mr. Boss-Man, think we should open the gates?

@Azurian Dream @Demon Shinobi

Mimi was finally finished up in the bathroom, her nose no longer leaking and no sign of blood on any of her clothes. She quickly put her apron and bandanna back on and was prepared to throw the batter away. As she was just about to dump it in the trash, she heard Amaris and turned around to see the little vampire maid's eyes practically sparkling at the thought of having cupcakes made just for her.

Mimi looked back at her for a moment before her stoic expression broke into a small smile and her eyes softened only a little. After her training with the small girl and everything she went through, Mimi knew this was well deserved. "Yes." She said, pulling out a baking tray (that would need to be decommissioned until thoroughly cleaned) and started pouring the batter. It didn't need as much sugar as the rest, given how it was Mimi's own blood in the batter, so there was no telling how this would turn out.

After this batch was in the oven, she turned to Isamu. "These ones are only for Amaris." She then saw the little children who were still somewhat sniffly from their sudden lecture. She walked over to them with some lollipops she had prepared and handed them to the two of them with her usual stoicism. "Enjoy your stay"

"It wasn't romantic. The bruises were from your grandfather almost killing. Everything else is Ichirou's weird luck which is one-hundred percent not endorsed, welcomed, initiated, reciprocated or tolerated."

By this point Masaru felt as though he was reciting from a script or a legal document. Reciting it in an almost robotic matter, he had obviously become used to people's thoughts, even if he disliked the consensus. He just wished people would read his lips, or rather, heed his words. There were only so many ways he could explain how things actually were, but he didn't get the feeling many actually bought it.

Ignoring the last part about what the girls said-Or perhaps it was more accurate to say he was distracted from it. First, it was the snickering and laughter, which earned a slight narrowing of the eyes from Masaru as he glanced back at Airi with a 'Really?' look. Turning his attention back to the girls, he felt Airi get physically close once again, going on about how she had claimed him or some such. That wasn't an issue, nor was the softness pressing against his back again. He was used to that by now. It was instead the sensual touch he felt against his neck. Not once nor twice, but a series of attacks in the form of kisses.

Masaru visibly stiffened and his expression displayed shock, as if he wasn't even sure how to respond. The he felt the suction and tongue and shuddered with a verbal exclamation as Airi seemingly scurried off. Masaru instinctively slapped a hand to the back of his neck. Did she really? Really?!

He didn't even notice when Ichirou had approached to set his sisters straight. It beat Masaru's plan; he was just going to bribe them with snowcones. Ichirou's plan worked too though. The girls were happy, got the memo and were now whisked away by Aurora, not that Masaru was functioning to the capacity of being able to manipulate the girls or argue with them.

"What the hell, Airi?!"

Charlotte smiled expectantly at Isamu. Her hands were clasped behind her back as she waited for some sort of response. Even if she knew he was staring and was purposefully trying to fluster him, it seemed as though she wanted something from him. The unconscious murmur of cuteness seemed to please her someone, as the smile widened a bit before it thinned into smugness.

"Hm?" Charlotte hummed, tilting her head in an innocent manner.

He seemed to struggle a bit more before Mimi called out to him, the distraction getting him out of his head a little bit. What followed was an actual comment, which earned a big grin from the girl, apparently content with the compliment.

"Indeed, you are." Well, she wasn't his maid, but he should know what she meant.

As Mimi distracted him Charlotte took that time to zoom the cupcake over to her, hovering in front of her to take a bite without the aid of her hands. Unfortunately, just as she took a bite, Isamu spotted her in the act. Blinking a couple times, she finished the bite and flew the cupcake around to her back in order to hide it. She looked at him, feigning casual innocence as best she could.

"Whu?"

"Eh.. I-I just don't really think of myself as cute... but thank you..." There's no way she could pass for a good maid. She wasn't cute like the little vampire was. Plus she had the scary smile. Still, it was nice of her to say. "Uh, no thank you; I mainly wanted to see UA and the festival."

The vampire then proceeded to explain her own quirk and heritage. Shiori's head nodded vigorously along with Amaris' explanation, even more excited at the mention of her mother. Shiori was a huge nerd about heroes, so it was natural she knew who Ramiris was, and she knew from Aurora who Amaris was as well.

"I know! You and your mom are like vampires! It's super cool!" Shiori replied with enthusiasm before turning back to Ayame. "You know Mama?"

Shiori looked at the girl curiously, but then eyed her ears and tail. She was like an actual red panda. So fluffy~ Shiori wanted to reach out and pet her but restrained herself for the sake of hopefully not scaring the girl off. Apparently it was working as the girl offered to tour the grounds with her and another girl, Sayuri. Once again, Shiori grinned happily, though to others it probably just looked scary.

"I-I'd love to! I'm Shiori Sunemizuki!" Shiori reintroduced. Maybe she could ask Ayame about her quirk too!

Then, Shiori heard what sounded to be addressed to her, though since it was another compliment similar to Amaris', it took her a moment to realize. It was a monkey girl with a very brazen outfit. Shiori's eyes unintentionally traveled down to where the small vampire's face was pressed into before her gaze stabilized at eye level.

"I-I'm Shiori! I'm Aurora's aunt technically, though I'm a few months younger!"

Amaris's eyes brightened up to a more livid purple-pink, glittering as they widened at Mimi. "Hehhhhhh???!" She breathed in utter surprise that someone would do this for her, her mouth hanging open a bit, shamelessly drooling. What, make her something? No, that wasn't all too unusual. It was the fact that someone was taking the time out of a busy schedule to put their own blood in a batter for a whole batch of cupcakes to make specifically for Amaris, without any questions on the matter beforehand, that was really getting to the vampire. Especially since she hadn't had really any interaction with this girl before. Sure they trained a bit together, but that was just training. Though it had gone smoothly. To Amaris this female was a beautiful saint.

"Ahh.. ahh.. ah, th~thhank you!" the vampire squeaked, pink-cheeked, leaning forward, hands clenched. She thanked the other, taller female before she departed to go give candy to the rude children. Yep, she was a total saint.

As she waited on the batter to bake into the cupcakes, Amaris returned to her fellow teefy girl's side, still reeling in delight from the baker lady. She decided to respond to her earlier comment. The comment Shiori exclaimed so excitedly about it being 'cool' to be a vampire. "Iz it?" Amaris asked her, wondering what made it 'cool'. If anything it was an annoying hindrance in every aspect of the word to the little pigtailed vampire. It only made her life difficult. From her eating habits. Her lack of emotional health. People being scared or hating her based wholly on a quirk she couldn't control. It was a different perspective for someone to be that enthusiastic about it. Also, she found she was a bit offended by that enthusiasm, but was more than willing to listen to her fellow teefy girl on the matter. "What makess it cool?"

Ayame Daichi - UA Festival Grounds
Mentions: Various - Interactions: @EmperorsChosen

Watching the other girl, Ayame turns her head to the side, so far the craziness of this place seemed to be getting worse. First were the devil children that Ayame was planning to distract, then it was the monkey, or Airi rather. Watching as the girl went and boldly declared her intentions, any lingering hopes she might of had for Masaru were squashed. Listening in with her large ears Ayame would overhear the kids carrying on about what seemed to be some sort of movie or another, an ancient one likely as she had no idea what it was.. It was a curious hobby most of those in her class seemed to share, watching movies from decades ago, she never cared much for them.

Turning her attention back to the other girl, Ayame nods. "Umm..I seen her a couple times, she and Kanna's mom used to be on the same side..both are good now though so don't worry about it."

She says, watching the other, before sticking her tongue out. Did she voice her thoughts out loud earlier? Well she could read the others mind as well. In part, though not a special part at that given how common it was from others.

"You can pet me if you want, I don't mind much, lots of people do it and your smile reminds me of one of Momma's helpers. Just don't pet me when I'm sleepy or tired."

With that she looks at all the rest, Mimi had returned with something purely for Amaris, blood likely, she hoped this time the girl hadn't cut herself.. Well if she had there was nothing Ayame could do for it right now. "Err, w-well if you are done here we should get going."

Ayame was in a hurry to see the rest of the festival as the other girl smiles watching the ongoing situations, not wanting to directly be involved in them.

Man, that kid Is fast... Heisuke thought to himself trying to look past the crowd that stood before him, thankfully he was able to get a look at him and realized that Cupie had already caught up, he took a second to admire how much love she showed for Kiyoshi, truly at that moment he realized how wrong he was about her. "There you both all, sure your quirk isn't a super speed kid?" Heisuke laughed ruffling the boy's hair playfully. "I'm sorry, I'm just really excited." Kiyoshi chuckled awkwardly, no doubt feeling bad for acting immature.

The younger boy jumped in place when they finally found the vender with the stuffed tiger. "Hello little guy! That'll be three tickets for three tries!" Heisuke handed the man the tickets required for the game before crouching down to his cousin's level with ball in hand. "Okay what I want you to do is concentrate on your target, pull your elbow back like this..." Heisuke helped his younger cousin by pulling his shoulder back and aiming his elbow back. "Then once you feel ready, flick your forearm and wrist back and throw! Got it?" Kiyoshi hesitantly nodded and cleared his throat grabbing the ball from his older cousin. "G-got it...I think." With three tries Kiyoshi sadly was unable to hit his target, though on the third try it did hit sadly no pins fell down.

Heisuke looked over to Cupie and nodded to her. "Okay will try again, he won't lose again." Heisuke smiled mischievously and handed the man another three tickets. "Unless you got any good words of advice?" He was ready to rig the game for Kiyoshi but if Cupie had anything to say to him it was best to do so now.

Ichirou | Honoka and Chiasa

@Reanimator Spuds
@Azurian Dream

Ichirou looked at Aurora with a look of confusion. "Huh? Child wonderment? Of course I'm going to say something if it stops them from insulting another person! Hey!"

Just like that, the blonde woman walked up and whisked his sisters away in motherly arms to try and cheer them up. He inwardly groaned. You'd think if Aurora was so smart, she'd understand she can't come in and be the hero to a child who'd just been scolded for their behavior. Ichirou was trying to teach his sisters manners, and if she continued coming in and whisking them away from their problems, they weren't going to learn anything! Except maybe that they could go to Aurora with their troubles and she'd protect them from the consequences, and that Ichirou was the asshole for trying to correct their behavior.

Oh god, what would happen for the rest of the visit? Was she going to spoil them rotten every time Ichirou tried to tell them off?. She had a natural, motherly air about her and seemed to be great at cheering kids up, which was fine if sad children was the problem. But it wasn't. The issue was now was not the appropriate time to protect them. Chiasa and Honoka were supposed to learn something, but instead Ichirou was going to look like the villain.

Maybe asking her to babysit had been a bad idea...

Ugh, now he'd have to deal with Aurora being mad at him, wasn't he?

With another inward groan, he walked up behind Aurora and gave her back a slight pat to let her know he was there. He leaned in closer and whispered in her ear.

"Don't worry about taking care of Honoka and Chiasa, alright? I'll do something else about them."

As much as he liked the natural motherly air Aurora had to her, he wasn't going to let her enable the behavior of "Aurora will protect us". They were supposed to be learning a lesson right now, not enjoying cupcakes or candy because "ruined child wonderment".

~~~
Two sniffly, sad children were Honoka and Chiasa. They pouted, with reddened cheeks and looking down glumly despite being whisked away into motherly arms. They didn't say anything about the dragon, but the looks in their eyes showed clear excitement. A dragon? A real dragon? UA had a real dragon student and not someone in a big costume?
To their surprise, it was true! A big, handsome dragon boy in a nice suit and a dreamy dragony smile! Both girls looked at him, blinking any tears from their eyes and gave nod in unison regarding the trick he wanted to show them.
Though before that happened, a tall woman came by and gave the girls a lollipop, which they were happy about.
However, before Mimi could walk away...
"You're so cute, miss!" Honoka grinned.
Chiasa nodded softly with a small smile, "You look kind too. A very nice lady with a super cool quirk~"
Honoka turned to Jet, "Can we see the dragon trick, pleeeaase~?"
At the question, Cupie smiled down at the little boy. "Breathe slowly when you're aiming. Then, take in a deep breath when you pull your hand back, and let go when you throw it. It'll help your aim."
This was the advice her mentor had given her when she was still practicing how to aim at her internship, and the methods she practiced now. She looked at Heisuke and gave him a big grin, masking it as a "go ahead" kind of smile when really it was one of appreciation. Kiyoshi was getting the tiger, dammit!
Shunsuke took a deep breath. "True to form, you do know how to make a patron feel at ease Kanna," he said softly as he held up his fortune taking a moment to fold the fortune up. "I think, a lot of people tend to overlook traditional things like this," he said as moved to hang the fortune off the tree. Once he did so, he clapped his hands together, closing his eyes and lowering his head for a moment. "But, I don't know. There's always been a sort of comfort for me in things like this. Maybe that's cause my parents wanted a sort of combination of modernity and tradition." That said Shun turned back to the Miko and chuckled.
Taking a deep breath, Shunsuke looked at the bad fortune. Given that he at least knew people typically kept their good fortunes, part of him hoped that the amount of bad fortunes remained small. In fact, he'd have been fine if only his fortune appeared tied to the tree. That would at least mean many had come and had gotten good fortunes right? Fortunes they'd undoubtedly want to keep? Maybe that was wishful thinking.
"Still, make sure to take time to take time for yourself and to rest between your duties. We're all relying on you as an envoy to the Kami. Well, that as as a powerful front line warrior. And training coach. And... nutritionist?" Come to think of it, between her and Isamu, he was pretty sure he was eating better now than when served by some of the trained cooks at Shiketsu.
"Honestly, some of you UA kids really do go above and beyond."
Well, that wasn't so bad. Besides, he was one of the UA kids now wasn't he? He sure hoped they thought so. He couldn't help but laugh a little at the thoughts circling his mind. Maybe he was overthinking things a little bit recently. Even as he considered partaking in the Ema as well, he found himself second guessing what it was he could possibly have been wishing for.
Steeling himself, figuratively, he took an ema bored, admiring the horse emblazened on it. "Right. A wish. My wish." Flipping the board over he hardening his finger, sharpening it at the tip a bit in order to carve into the wood. All else considered, his calligraphy was pretty good. He took a moment to inscribe his wish and his name, and then moved to hang that as well. It was all coming back to him. "I'm feeling a little more confident now," he said, his smile much bigger than before. He seemed, if nothing else, more upbeat and confident, more determined. Doubts washed away for a moment, even after the somewhat poor fortune. It wasn't the end of the world after all.
"And will you partake in any of the traditions yourself Kanna?"
Airi and Isamu
Class 1-A Maid/Butler Cafe
Interactions: @EmperorsChosen @Jessica2477 @Azurian Dream (briefly @Reanimator Spuds )
Airi had been content to hold the small vampire, who was so cute dolled up in her maid uniform. Of course, the girls hadn't been ready to give up. Airi soon found herself on the receiving end of more accusations and name calling from the twins, which she'd admittedly resigned herself to merely accept. Luckily for her, Ichirou was a good brother, aiming to have them learn from their mistakes and apologize to her. She couldn't help but smile at the turn of events, giggling softly. However, although she was more than prepared to accept their apologies and forgive them, the two girls were quickly snatched away by Aurora. The blonde was gorgeous, but she certainly had a way of butting in. Especially in cases that weren't necessarily her place to. Course, the girl certainly had a deeper relationship with Ichirou and his sisters than Airi did, obviously, but did that make it okay?
Maybe that wasn't the case as Ichirou quickly made his way over to the kids. Airi chuckled a bit nervously, turning for a moment back to the girl Shiori. Just Shiori? Maybe for a moment at least. The vampy had gone off. "Well, it's nice to meet you Shi-chan. I hope you're having a good time. A girl as cute as you deserves a little fun~" she said with a big smile, though she was keeping an ear on the ongoings with the girls.
Meanwhile, Isamu found himself just... staring at Charlotte. And not in the, 'you look really good' kind of way. Well, that way too, but more in the 'are you serious right now?' kind of way. Did she think she'd gotten away with it?
"Charlotte... I..." he paused, exasperated for a moment. The smile, and notion that he wanted to laugh, did grant her a bit of leeway though. She had to know he'd seen the cupcake. Taking a quick bite and hiding it in the brief moment he'd been distracted didn't change what he already know.
"You-" he stopped again, laughing a tiny bit, though he tried to stop it. "you know you could have just..."
Yet again they were interrupted, this time by an enthusiastic and uncannily motherly display by Aurora. His attention was certainly captured for a moment, not only by her request, but by the small pose she'd done. He wasn't looking at the blonde the same way he looked at Charlotte though. It was more of intrigue. He couldn't help but allow a laugh to escape his lips once more. "You can count on my Aurora. I'll make sure to whip up some awesome treats for the girls," he said quickly before glancing at Charlotte.
Isamu was more than happy to oblige, given his own glee. Before he could get on his way though he was stopped by Mimi, which was worrying. A batch just for Amaris? What had happened then. Rather than question it, he thought maybe it was best to just give her a quick nod. "Thanks for letting me know," he said with a small, nervous chuckle before turning to Charlotte. He opened his mouth to speak, but was quickly interrupted once more. This time the culprit was Yosuke.
"Ah! Y-yeah! Let the flood gates open officially, Yosuke!" Their only "customers" thus far had been class guests, classmates, and the wonder twins. It was time to really get the show on the road. And it was only right that he gave the order to do so.
"Oh, and before things get crazy..." he said to Charlotte, now free to actually address her again. "You're welcome to join me," he paused, giving her a small grin himself. "If you think you can control yourself long enough not to steal another treat yourself," he teased the Neapolitan haired girl before turning to walk toward the back. Admittedly there were a few fresh baked items he'd been preparing for the masses. They were kept warming on a heating plate so as not to lose freshness to fast. Cinnamon buns would be a good start for the girls. He thought so at least. Warm, soft, and with an awesome glaze he'd whipped up from scratch. As he ventured to the back to grab it, he glanced back half expecting to see Charlotte following.
"Do you think I should give them some ice cream too?" he asked asked nobody in particular, his eyes moving to face forward once more, though he hoped an answer would come from Char.
As Isamu made his way to fulfill the Aurora's request, Airi found herself a little stiff, her cheeks reddening to a degree that was strictly out of character for the self proclaimed future Monkey King. Yes, King. The reason? Well, that was undoubtedly due to the "What the hell, Airi?!" that had come from Masaru her freshly claimed and 'marked' companion.
Without warning she grabbed the sharp-toothed girl, Shiori, and used her almost like a shield for a moment. "Ehehe~ By the way Masacchi? Have you met Shi-chan? She's totally cute. You should get to know her, and uhhhhh reconnect with my gorgeous little vampy friend~" she spoke rather quickly, likely interrupting the budding conversation that would have begun with Amaris's return. She needed an out quick. Then, she heard the voices of her former "attackers" complimenting Mimi and asking to see a trick. Of course! The perfect escape. He wouldn't come after her if she were talking to them, forgiving them, trying to bond. Actually that didn't sound bad. She'd always wanted sisters...
Nothing left to say, the monkey girl quickly made her way to the table where Aurora had sat the girls, joining the fray of the slowly forming group. "Ah~ D-do you mind if I talk to the girls for a second Ichi-kun?" she asked a bit coyly, though she didn't wait for an answer before she knelt down before them. She didn't wanna risk another powerful, soul piercing glare from the boy after all.
"I'm happy to see you two smiling again. I wouldn't have hated to think two adorable little girls were all sniffly and sad because of me," she said, her expression softening. There was no way Ichirou would have tried to stop her from being nice to his sisters right. Besides, unlike Aurora, she wasn't trying to undermine the guy. Well, maybe she might a tiny bit. "Ya know, I was super impressed at how tough you both were. And how you stood your ground. If I'd been lucky enough to have little sisters, I'd hope they would stand up for me, and be as cool and tough as you two." She had a big smile, forgetting for a moment everyone their, and Masaru even.
"And you know, as smart as your big brother is, there is no way of knowing if everything from Jumanji is real or not~ Trust me, I used to watch it a lot when I was little too. And I remember the monkey scene," this seemed to be flowing a bit better than she expected. "I think you just got some stuff mixed up. I mean, look at me. I have some pointed ears, I have special eyes, and I have a tail, but you know what I don't have?" she asked referring to the lack of fur and other monkey-like features on her body.
The girls gave each other a glance before examining Airi a bit further. "FUR!" they cried in unison as the realization dawned on them.
"That's right~!" Airi laughed a little at their enthusiasm. "So ya know, I think you had the right idea, but the wrong culprit. If I had cheated, in anyway, of if Masacchi had, or even Ichi-kun, we would be covered in a lot more fur and definitely look a lot more monkey like," she said as she place her a hand tenderly on each of their cheeks. "Just try to be more careful in the future, and look a little more closely at the situation. I mean, you never know when you might run into an issue with a real cheater..." she paused for a moment, glancing up. "And please don't ever start a game of Jumanji if you do find the board game. You know, the real one. I don't think the world will ever be ready to deal with the consequences. Especially since we know the game can cause a little too much havoc."
Hopefully this would settle things in a way that would make everyone happy. As she pulled her hands away from the younger girl's faces, Airi couldn't help but pout a bit all the same. "I am a little hurt that you called me and my outfit tacky though," she said looking away from them. "I really thought I looked nice." Airi said, feigning a little more pain than she'd been in, perhaps hoping to get a hug or something from the girls.
Masaru watched in a deadpan as Airi, who had wandered off like nothing happened, proceeded to hide behind a somewhat intimidating girl. Aurora had brought the girl and introduced her as an aunt. He could see somewhat of a resemblance. The hair and physique reminded him of Aurora, though it was the girl's face that revealed differences. Namely her eyes were a piercing crimson and her smile was accentuated with a wide, shark-like set of teeth. Still, despite the intimidating appearance, he noted her to appear rather nervous.
It probably didn't help that Airi seemed to sacrifice her so to speak, same with Amaris, though the latter was less likely to mind.
"Really."
And she was off making amends with Ichirou's sisters, leaving him in the presence of Shiori, Amaris, Ayame and another girl he hadn't met. He sighed, wondering if the entire behavior of the class was throwing the visitors for a loop.
"I'm Masaru Takeshi... Don't mind Airi, she's kind of eccentric but she's harmless... probably," He introduced to the newcomers. "Actually that probably goes for most people here. Don't feel too overwhelmed."
Still, he wasn't expecting his introduction to get more of a reaction, let alone for one of them to recognize him.
"Hm?" Charlotte hummed in question once more.
It was probably a good guess that she knew Isamu had caught her, but what was the fun in just giving that up. Most of her actions had a meaning to them, but that didn't mean she couldn't do things just because she was trying to come across as cute or funny. She knew stealing one treat wouldn't be objected to, and it seemed she grabbed one at the perfect timing. As was to be expected with their class, hijinks would happen and had already begun to.
Ichirou's sisters. Mimi and Jet "contaminating" some batter. Airi. Things weren't really going awry, but Charlotte wouldn't call it smooth either. Still, she wouldn't decline a trip to the kitchen, even if teasing Masaru and the others also sounded like a good idea. The doors were about to open and sweats took priority.
"I haven't promised anything~" Charlotte chimed in return as she followed Isamu into the back. She took a look at the various concoctions they had made, mischievous eyes gauging which looked the most delectable. "Wow! Isamu, Mimi, you did a great job!"
Then Isamu asked a question. It was a poor question, one which caused the neapolitan-haired girl to gaze in his direction with a slight pout, hands on her hips and a look of 'Really?' on her face.
"Is that a question?"
"Eh? It's cool because... it's just cool!" Shiori replied excitedly. "I-I'm kind of a nerd when it comes to heroes and quirks... I just find them really interesting. To me, your quirk is really unique, and that makes it interesting a cool. I mean... I know it might be a pain sometimes; mine can be too, but you're still going to become a hero with it, and that makes you even cooler!"
Then the panda spoke up, signaling that they should get going, but not before mentioning some things that caught Shiori's attention. First was the note of her mother and this Kanna. Shiori watched the cultural. Kanna was the one that spent most of it charging at people like a bat out of hell, or a bulldozer more like it. The girl was kind of scary, but then what was that about them being good now? Her mom was always good, she couldn't ask for a better family.
"U-Um..." Preparing to follow up with that, Shiori even disregarded the realization of who Ayame's mom was. She was a more rural hero, but that didn't stop her from being a fan. Still, the comment about her and this Kanna's mother didn't sit well with her.
To add further distraction, the one known as Airi quickly rushed behind her as a boy exclaimed her name. The sudden remark caused even Shiori to jump a bit. Confused on what was happening or what she should do, Shiori had obviously missed Airi's little PDA. After leaving her with the boy she hadn't met, Shiori merely smiled at him. It was a nervous, teethy smile, but a smile. Much as the boy thought Shiori's aesthetic to be rather intimidating, Shiori found the boy's stern scowl to be worrisome as well.
As he began to speak however, Shiori slowly relaxed. Maybe he just looked mean, but he was acting nice at least. Then he said his name and it clicked. He was the ice user that fought in the tournament, but more notably the interest was drawn from knowing who his parents were. It seemed like many of class 1A had famous parents, though it made sense.
"Y-Yeah! It's no big deal! I don't mind at all! Oh, I'm Shiori by the way," Shiori dismissed with a frantic wave of her hands and a slightly nervous laugh. "A-Anyway, Ayame said she would show me around the grounds so... I'll come back before I leave though!"
Perhaps she was getting a bit star struck, though there was also the fact that Shiori wanted to know more about her and Kanna's mom that Ayame had spoken about.
Amaris listened to the toofy girl explain what made it 'cool', blinking at her. Then she pressed her fingers together, with a light pink to her cheeks and nose. "Ah... a~arigatou..." she murmured softly. She still wasn't entirely convinced, but it was nice to hear something like that from someone. And hearing it from Shiori made it better, truth be told!
Shiori's attention seemed to be pulled away towards Masaru, who Airi commented that they should more or less hang out. Unfortunately, Amaris didn't really feel a tug to do such a thing, but that was not displayed in her behavior. She just acted like normal Amaris as Shiori spoke to the scowling boy. He also didn't really seem to care about what Airi had said, as he only spoke to Shiori. Not that that was too unusual, as she was a new face.
While that was going on, she looked around for where the monkey girl had gone off to. Amaris spotted her heading to talk to the to little girls that had rudely shoved her away. She overheard some of their back and forth, but didn't pay too much attention. Though she did hear the last thing Airi said, which Amaris agreed with. "I thhink sso, too!" she chimed loudly from across the room, hoping to be heard, reaffirming her earlier compliment. Of course, barring generalized things that looked bad or unpleasant, Amaris wasn't quite sure what made something 'tacky'.
Just then, the vampy heard that they were finally opening the cafe up to the public, and prepared to act the part of the cute maid, tugging at her uniform in places to make sure it was sitting right, including the frilly headdress upon her smoky hair. It had taken so long for this place to get going, that Amaris was feeling a tug to go explore the rest of the festival by now. Especially since it seemed Shiori was going out. But oh well, that'd have to wait.
Watching the interactions play out, Ayame waited till all was said and done, smiling and waiting with the other girl as the pair wait for Shiori to finish her exchange with Amaris. Once that was done she bid farewell to her fellow classmates, making way to give them more room and to see more of the Festival herself. Humming along as the trio explored, there were a few vendors and games of note that Ayame would stop at with the other girls to play or have fun at in the least. All the while drawing closer towards Kanna's exhibit, from there they could loop around and see the other stores while making way back to the café. "So, it's time you meet the other person I named, haha."
Smiling along as Shunsuke spoke, she laughed a little at his carving. "We aren't that old fashioned here if you would like an ink pen or marker." Still a personal touch like that is a bit rare, she couldn't recall seeing it, though it did suit him. "I like to think you are also a student here Shunsuke and as one of our classmates."
As he finished with his board, Kanna nods her head. "Hmm when it all closes I might, if you mean making wishes of my own, that would hardly be fair, I wrote all of the paper slips after all. I also can't leave my booth till it's all over."
Looking ahead it was not long till Ayame showed up with two girls she never seen before, plus a bag of food for herself. It was nice of both Ayame and Shunsuke to go through so much trouble.
As the trio got closes, Kanna notices the other has a mouth of sharp teeth and an awkward smile, while the girl in green just munched on a candy apple. Bowing towards the group Kanna decides to introduce herself. "Kanna Tanaka, Priestess of this little shrine, would you like to try your hand at drawing a fortune or making a wish to the Kami?" She asks simply as she lifts her head.
"Oh hi Kanna! Hmm, I might do that!" Ayame answers happily as she hands over one of the bags she was carrying. "For you! Hi Shun!"
When given the green light to open the gates, Yosuke stood up before everyone and called out to them. "Alright then As much as I appreciate the support, if you aren't working or ordering, you've gotta find somewhere else to hang out. Airi, Shiori, Sayuri, it was nice to meet you, even if only superficially. Maybe we'll get more next time. Everyone else, don your persona and get ready to serve."
Yosuke made his way back to the front after straightening up a little wherever he could. The tables were all properly covered with frilly cloth and dainty (but plastic) silverware. He grabbed his cloth and draped it over his arm, then used his other hand to slick back a strand of loose hair and keep his clean cut appearance alive.
"Doors are opening. Remember, if someone is being creepy, stand up for yourself." He said to the room, knowing full well that Amaris and Jett likely wouldn't even recognize, nor would Octavia be so easily offended. Still, it felt appropriate. Perhaps more for himself than anything.
As he opened the door he set up the sign to indicate they were opened and stood at the door to address the students passing by.
"It is the pleasure of Class 1-A to announce that the A-Class 4-Star Butler and Maid Cafe is now open for business. We have our brilliant culinary minded lead Chief, Isamu Yukimura with the assistance of the gentle "Mimi," our master pastry chef to provide a dining experience unlike any other. Please, head in side. We are seating now."
Mimi, meanwhile watched the twins as she went back to work. "So cute..." She murmured wandering through the conversation between Charlotte and Isamu, not really paying any attention to what they were talking about. However she did pause to thank the ice cream flavored girl as she passed by with a slight head nod. She checked on the cupcakes for Amaris. They seemed a little... strange? Dense wasn't the right word. While they weren't bad looking, they definitely had a sort of dryer texture than her other batch. Well, this was an experiment in a way. She quickly decorated them very cutely and handed set them aside for Amairis. Calling directly to her, "These are for you."
As Yosuke called out to the people, Mimi looked at Isamu. "What should we focus on first?"
Kiyoshi felt at ease with the help of his cousin and friend, they always knew how to make him feel supported. He gave one last look back to Heisuke and Cupie, the male gave him a reassuring nod before he turned back to the vender. "One..Two...Three." With a final exhale Kiyoshi threw the ball landing in the middle of the eight pins, all went crashing down.
"Yes!!" Kiyoshi let out a celebratory cheer, lifting his arms in glee. "Good job kiddo! Two more strikes and we can get that tiger!" Heisuke patted him on the back and squeezed his shoulders to keep him in the game. "Same thing as before, the most important thing is to keep a clear mind, as long as you are focused on your target, you got this." The older cousin stepped back next to Cupie, letting Kiyoshi have space to throw again. Once again he was able to sink another row of pins, leaving only one pyramid to hit down until they could get that tiger. "You go Kiyo! One more time!" Kiyoshi's smile widened from ear to ear by how proud the two of them were, the last time he had someone so proud of him was when Makoto came to his baseball games.
The final throw was sent towards the pin by Kiyoshi, he watched as the ball spiraled towards the pyramid and knock down the pins, sadly leaving one pin left standing...Well, that was until Heisuke noticed this and casually knocked down the final pin watching it fall with the rest of its group. "We've got a winner! And I bet I good idea of which one you want..." The vender reached up and pulled the black and orange tiger from the top row of stuffed animals, handing it to the 10-year-old. "I did it guys I did it!!" Heisuke high fived his cousin and smiled down at him, it was difficult to keep a frown when Kiyoshi's smile brightened. "Good job cuz! We've got a lot of fun scheduled so let's keep going!"
Heisuke let his younger cousin run up first so that he could talk with Cupie about their more pressing concerns. "Look I know you wanted to talk about this later but we need to call social services, I can't let anything happen to him and if those villains came back and used him as a way of revenge or leverage, I won't let what happened to Makoto happen to him."
Honoka and Chiasa
Both girls hadn't been expecting more visitors, particularly Airi, the girl who'd been victim to their insults and misguided intentions. In truth, they thought Airi hated them now for their mistake and wouldn't want to talk to them anymore, but that wasn't the case! In fact, Airi was talking to them about Jumanji and allowed them to see just how wrong they had been for calling the monkey girl a cheater. Both girls felt guilty, and leaned into the touch the other girl gave them. It reminded them of their mother's hands; calloused, yet gentle. Strong, yet delicate.
And just like that, the touch was gone, leaving both girls confused for a second.
Hearing Airi's last sentence, Chiasa and Honoka both moved from their seats. Chiasa disappeared in a poof of smoke and reappeared floating in front of Airi. She hugged the taller girl by the neck, her cheek pressed against Airi's. Honoka, meanwhile, hugged Airi's waist.
"We were lying..." Honoka admitted.
Chiasa gave a small 'mhm', "You look very cute Miss."
"Great job Kiyoshi! You did it!" Cupie congratulated, giving Kiyoshi a high five.
She felt a surge of happiness within her seeing her younger brother figure holding the prized tiger. Hopefully Kiyoshi would be able to treasure for the rest of his childhood; it would definitely hold some good memories, that's for sure!
However, before they could move on, Heisuke approached her and brought up what Cupie feared most. Her happiness twisted to a glare at him.
"You can nibble on my labia if you think I'll agree to calling social services. You may as well approach any stranger on the street, give them Kiyoshi, and hope they'll treat him right... Look, I don't want anything bad happening to Kiyoshi either, but putting him in the state's foster system is not the way to go."
Aurora Tamoyo
As the Cafe opened its doors, and the customers flooded in Aurora kept hard at work answering multiple orders, and delivering them just as fast with the two rulers in the kitchen in high gear. At a certain point though Ichirou approached her, and with obvious closed off reasoning told her that he would handle the twins by himself in other means. Sighing, she allowed him to walk away for now, not wanting to ruin Isamu's event with a dispute. A little later into the event though about a good hour, or two in Aurora decided to take her break knowing fully how it was about to be taken. Humming softly she checked in on Mimi, and Isamu to let them know she was taking a break as she made a beeline straight for Jet first.
"Hey can you watch the twins for a bit Jet," she asked nicely, smiling at the twins who were having fun with the event with all the activity around them. With his confirmation she straightened herself out walking straight towards Ichirou, and without warning wrapped her hand around his with a simple look.
"Willing to walk a girl around for a moment?"
He had put what he said to Aurora in the back of his head and moved swiftly to try and wait on the customers. Ichirou smiled, spoke politely, and provided service as efficiently as his body allowed him. He had to be careful; his muscles were still sore and his injuries were ready to protest any movement that came too quickly. Regardless, he was going to do his absolute best.
So far, none of the customers were complaining and his sisters seemed relatively well behaved. However, just as he had finished waiting on another table, he felt a hand around his. Curious, he looked over and saw just who it was.
Well, he couldn't avoid this conversation forever.
"Depends. Will I come back to the cafe the same manner I entered?"
"Ichi, when have I ever roughed you up? Minus the tournament,and that one time you pulled my hair as kids," Aurora pointed out, gently tapping him on his good shoulder with her free hair with a smile as she started to guide him out of the cafe, and out into the festival.
"So give your opinion out," Aurora spoke, giving him first turn on the debate they were about to have.
Ichirou had even given her a look when she asked her question. He almost considered laughing, thinking it might've been a joke. Aurora wasn't joking, apparently. So he bit his tongue and stayed quiet.
He followed her out of the cafe, being quiet for a bit before hearing her words. "My opinion? About what?"
"You clearly don't agree with my actions, and even went as far as to let others act ahead of me making me out to look like a villain. I am not stupid i saw the look slike Airis directed at me belieivn gi was butting into something that wasn't my business when you yourself asked me to care for them," she pointed out not attack Ichi, not insulting him, not even showing signs of resentment towards him. She was just having a casual conversation with him.
He raised an eyebrow at her. "Excuse me? I quietly, in your ear, asked you not to babysit the girls. Their reactions are their reactions. I had no influence on what they thought of the situation." He responded to her just as kindly, then continued. "But allow me to clarify. I don't disagree with your actions; I disagree with the timing of those actions. Protecting the girls right after I tried to teach them a lesson is undermining my authority over them. You're showing them that auntie Aurora will protect them from the evil troll that is their older brother."
"I see that's how you viewed what I did. So tell me how did I undermine you," Aurora asked, watching the lovely lights, and marvelous games about even for a moment seeing Cupie off in the distance having fun with a child, and fellow classmate.
"Did I counter what you said? Did I say you were wrong in the message? Or perhaps I balanced you out instead," she chimed poking him in the front of the temple as she paused in their walk a good distance away from the sight of all others.
"I agree with your actions maybe not the method, but I did nothing to deter your message nor did I defend them from it. Words were enough Ichi you broke through to them how you desired, and they even apologized themselves with Airi. yet would they have been so open to apologize if all they had in between was your reprimanding," Aurora spoke with a wink, and a raised finger.
"Ichi remember that time you ran away to my house? You were so upset that your dad wanted you to apologize to some kids who insulted his image, and the fact you punched one of them. You were so mad at your dad cause all you saw was your dad's reprimanding against your opinion," Aurora chuckled, remembering the flustered Ichi climbing through their fence instantly caught by a gardening Takagi.
"You lashed out cause you couldn't see past the negative, but your mom came over instead of your dad, and she didn't reprimand you. She calmed you down first holding you, and lulling you. Then when you could catch your thoughts you realized rather quickly your dad wasn't upset at you for defending him he just wanted you to be better, and learn," Aurora spoke smiling at her friend.
"I was doing nothing to undermine you. I was helping you by letting them catch their breath, and calm down before they decide to lash out to counter your reprimand," Aurora chuckled a little to herself as she turned him around towards a tent.
"I always balance you out Ichi, I am always on your side. So it hurts to see you let such opinions of me "butting" in be thought of by others. I am your friend, have been forever, and just like Amaris regardless of what you do I will alway be there for you," she glowed with confidence as she guided him towards a particular toy gun range tent.
Ichirou was quiet as she spoke about the embarrassing time of many in his life. Ugh, he was such a stupid kid, thinking he could just escape how top 10 parents by escaping to his top 10 aunt and uncle. Sheesh, what the hell was he thinking?
Still though, he saw Aurora's point. "You're right, you didn't counter anything that I said. What pissed me off more was your little comment about "child wonderment" then babying them to preserve it. Don't say you didn't baby them, because taking them away from their troubles and spoiling them immediately after is what new moms do to their babies.
"I get you meant well Aurora, and I get you were trying to balance it out. But, I don't know if my sisters saw it that way too. All they know is they got in trouble, then aunt Aurora sat them down and got them cupcakes. My parents didn't sit me down and give me cupcakes after I ran away, and neither did your parents. If they had, I don't think I would have learned anything except "running away gets me cupcakes." Ichirou sighed, "I guess neither of us will ever agree on a set method. Which is fine; they're my sisters, not our kids. But, at least wait a little bit before you try and balance it out, and in turn, I'll try not to be so harsh on them."
Ichirou did have plenty more to say, and nothing Aurora wanted to hear. She wanted him to see her side of the story, but in a way, she was doing only that. It didn't seem like she was making an effort to see it from his point of view. So, instead of standing here trying to argue who was the biggest victim here he would rather they just agree to disagree then head back.
However as he tried to walk away he was immediately pulled back. "Yet again assuming Ichi… always your vice. I am not right either, and I need to apologize for that. You're right I can be too kind just as you can be too rough, but there is a balance here Ichi. Chiasa, and Honoka are extremely good kids. Any other kids wouldn't learn something with how that all played out, but those two are special even with the reprimand, and the kindness they still learned. They did not act spoiled nor fight back they learned Ichi. They accepted your answer, and made up for their mistakes. Heck Airi could even tell you they were truly sorry," Aurora spoke true as she finally brought Ichi to the game tent.
"One of the biggest things I have learned since coming to U.A is that no one person is right, things can't always go as planned, and everyone needs to be open to help in ways they may not think they need it," Aurora spoke less maternally , and more as herself as she gripped his hand harder so he couldn't get away this time. Sure Ichi had his dad's super strength, but Aurora had her own. And in terms of close quarters Ichi lost.
"Now we are both wrong, and have no experience with kids. We both suck, and that's true. However you still did not defend a helpless girl during a moment of persecution while she was only trying to help you… so now win me that Master Gundam Statue as apology, and I'll apologize as being your date for the night that way your sister's will see your not a… how did they say it gayboi?"
Ichirou was… actually surprised to hear Aurora continue. So, he really had been wrong about her. Aurora wasn't the same "I'm right, you're wrong" girl from before but was growing up into a reasonable and intelligent (well, more intelligent than before) woman.
As she spoke, he saw them heading to one of the game tents but didn't pay it too much mind. As he thought, Aurora truly was maturing. He was happy he got to see her better herself.
"Yeah, you're right; they're really smart kids. My bad for underestimating their intelligence." He responded, but then heard her words. "Eh? Did you technically just call yourself a damsel in distress? Damn, never thought I'd hear it." Ichirou responded with a grin, seeing the statue in question.
He couldn't help but laugh. "Well isn't that nice of you. You know, if you wanted to hang out with me you could have just asked."
"What was that Ichi I couldn't hear you over a potential broken arm," Aurora taunted as some of her hair started to wrap around the same arm her hand was sparking a little in warning. Ichi was good up until the damsel in distress remark.
"Yes they are brilliant children give them some credit for now on okay," Aurora eased back up as she sighed at Ichi.
"So you don't want to hang out with me then of your own free will? I see then I shall go away forever into the night getting into whatever trouble that seeks me more than you," she lulled pretty skillfully in acting out the heart she should on her smooth face loosening her grip as she was about to debark.
"Please don't, I just got that arm healed." He returned with a small smile, pulling his arm away from Aurora's hair. "Besides, you're about as much a damsel in distress as Kanna is."
Hearing her next words, the silver haired boy laughed and reached over, gently grabbing her by the wrist to stop her. "Relax, you know I missed hanging out with you. But if you're gonna leave, at least let me have the honor of winning you that statue. It'd be a nice memento, wouldn't it?"
"Oh then do show off your skill's Ichi," Aurora laughed as she allowed herself to be pulled back in watching to see how well Ichis gunnery skills matched his confidence.
"Alright watch the apple," Jet gave a toothy smile to the twins as he placed an apple on the desk at first nothing happened as jet took a deep breath before blowing out his purple mist from between his lips. As the apple was consumed by the mist it slowly started to swirl, and turn into a mist ball around the apple with a mystical appearance as it slowed down to a slow swirling effect.
WIth his hands behind his back he smiled before bringing a single hand forward, and with a single snap of his fingers the mist disappeared with the apple completely gone. Standing back up straight he motioned the girls to their originally empty plates that were now filled with apple slices surrounding a cupcake.
"Would you like anything to drink," Jet asked kindly.
The two girls watched the apple carefully, never losing track of the fruit until Jet snapped his fingers. The apple was gone from its place and instead was now on their plates, sliced and ready for ready.
"Wow!" Honoka exclaimed.
Both girls smiled happily and applauded Jet's trick.
"Do you have milk?" Chiasa asked him.
"What kind of tea goes with cupcakes?" Honoka asked after her sister.
The business they were receiving was actually quite astounding. It didn't really matter how the other classes felt about Class 1A when they had all the best looking girls (and Yosuke) working there dressed up to serve. They had a fair amount of guys who were coming in at first, likely due to all of the other boys being away from the cafe at the moment.
Needless to say not everyone was happy to see a pink-haired boy serve them at a currently 80% maid cafe. Still Yosuke kept a smile on and continued with his customer service facade. It helped that he was friendly at least, but there times where he was a little peeved by what his customers were saying.
Eventually a two boys he didn't know came in. "Welcome. What will we be having today?" He said offering them a menu, his eyes closed and smiling widely. One of the boys looked at him for a moment before saying, "Hey, aren't you that guy who finger blasted a kid from 2A?" His friend responded with "Hey yeah, I think I remembered hearing about that. He seemed really happy about it though."
Yosuke grit his teeth behind his smile for a moment still smiling brightly with his eyes closed. "I'm terribly sorry, but we do not provide such a service here. Although I am incredibly flattered that you would ask of me." His friend kinda chuckled for a moment before the one who initiated looked back. "Honestly, I'd feel more comfortable with someone like her serving instead of some molesting prick." He pointed at Octavia.
Yosuke's smile quickly retreated before he turned around. "Fine." He walked back to Octavia, tapping her on the shoulder. "Those two in the back specifically requested you." He wasn't going to deal with that for right now. As much as he could try to leave a reputation behind, it wasn't easy. At least his wasn't televised like Masaru and Ichirou.
"U-Uhm... What did you mean by that... what you said earlier?" Shiori inquired, confused on the vagueness of the statement.
Apparently, Ayame would introduce her to this other person and Shiori wondered what to expect. Once they finally arrived, the girl appeared rather perplexed as to why they were at a mock shrine with a priestess to boot. The woman was quite tall, or girl? She was young, that much Shiori could tell, but at the same time the miko's stature was quite large, paired with a muscled build and mature air about her. Shiori thought her own physique to be rather built, but even she had to look up to the woman.
"A-Ah, I'm Shiori Sunemizuki... Um... How does it work?" Shiori questioned when proposed by the priestess. Even her way of speaking was more mature! "Oh, hi Shun!"
Still, at least there was one familiar face in the form of Shun. It brought a smile to her face; a normal one, and she seemed a bit more relaxed. Shiori didn't mind meeting to or talking to new people, but it was a lot more comforting to have some familiarity. Regardless, while she liked seeing Shun again, she was more curious as to the nature of this other person Ayame spoke of.
"So... Not to be rude but... Is Kanna the other person? And what did that mean exactly...?"
