He wasn't one to get overly excited over, well basically anything but he couldn't deny that being under the mentorship of Dullahans Flame didn't at least intrigue him, his goals had changed over the past months, Makoto's killer was found and locked up, finally, there was justice for his cousin and they could both now finally rest. His new mission was to become a hero, learn the ropes under Dullahans Flame and stop others from being hurt under his watch.

Making his way to the bus stop he wasn't too surprised to see a few others, one of which he expected to be under the same mentorship was Kanna since her and Dullahans Flame seemed to have a close relationship. As well as a few other classmates Cupie, Ayame, Yosuke and Isamu, who he thankfully could at least look at without getting tense, a notable absence though could be seen when one of the students, Shizui, was picked up from the school before they were picked up.

Once they all made it off the bus it was only a short walk until they got to their destination, soon enough they were greeted by two pro heroes, Mister Otaku and his mentor, Dullahans Flame. Until now he hadn't known who would be the other students joining him, luckily one of those ended up being Isamu, maybe he does more rather than tell to show that he's changed, the other student being Kanna who he didn't really speak to, oddly enough is the greatest threat in his eyes between all of his classmates.

It seemed they were going to be moving into this right away, so not wanting to keep her waiting, Heisuke grabbed his box and went to the men's shower room with Isamu, he couldn't help but feel more awkward doing so this time for some reason so he kept his eyes on the ground while he changed. Fixing his belt so that it was on tight, he stood in a pose with a smirk on his face. "Psykey, ready."

Chimera's Medical Combative Course
Chimera & Iron Volt
Tamoyo Rescue Corps Combat Medic Course Sight

It was hard to say if this was such a good idea as most of Chimera life she had been rather against the idea of being a teacher to the next generation given her less then legal background days among her youthful medic morality in the works. However with her success with training Isamu she was hard pressed to refuse teaching others on combat medic tactics. Today in particular she would be taking Amaris, Aurora, and Mimi two of which she knew, and one rather new to her. While it helped given she had experience with Aurora, and very much cared for the girl like a sister Amaris was a hard one to speak with given her raising. Mimi herself was a silent type like the chemical lab girl herself which at least gave a familiar spirit experience. Watching as the three girls came out of the bus, and up to the painstakingly created mock warzone facility the lab coat wearing woman sighed a, but as she took a deep breath to approach them.

"Big sis hows it going," Aurora chimed Immediately at the sight of Chimera running up to give the doctor side kick a big hug. Having been on that painfully silent drive to facility do to the awkwardness of being in a small group with Amaris again after... the incident it was nice to be in the fresh air. It was true the two had made up, and had dissolved a majority of the nastiest of it... it was still a bit awkward to be around her for Aurora. The emotional desire for Amaris was gone by all means, but she was still a major part of Aurora's childhood the two were still best friends... just in a rut of how to go about it. Aurora couldn't honestly say how she felt about Amaris directly anymore, and it was unnerving. Chimera on the other hand broke the metal girl out of the deep thoughts as she patted the blonde with her dragon arm.

"Its always good to see you Auro. Now lets be professional for a moment at least," Chimera smiled lightly with her emotionless voice gasping a bit for air as she was finally let go, and backed back up next to Mimi.

"Ahem I am Chimera the right hand sidekick to Surge Alloy, and a support type hero. However I am also a rare cause as I am both support, and combative. Today I will be taking you through a series of situation where you will need to play both fighter, and medical support. As you know a hero's job is to protect the people first many will say its about capturing villains, and i will tell you that is wrong. If you can't keep those around you alive while fighting off the threat whether it be nature or man you cannot call yourself a hero, your just playing hero," Chimera sharply spoke dusting herself off as she motioned for the girls to follow her.

"Don't get me wrong you cant save everyone all the time their will be harsh circumstances that force you to choose between situations. The goal here today though is to help limit how rough it must truly get for you to arrive at that juncture,' Chimera explained as she used her facility card to access the massive circular metal door. Leading the girls through the twists and turns of the large complex the girls would finally go up a elevator... minus Aurora who had to take the stairs.. to the main command center of the facility With her tone set she entered the facility revealing to the students a massive warzone from the safety of the command center.

Whether it was born by massive actual attacks or by detail the sight before the three heroines in the works was indeed chilling to the eye. Meant to represent what both extreme measures of mother nature could do, or in the rare case a intensely powerful quirk user could unleash the abysmal sight was a fusion of a destroyed city with a lake next to it revealing massive damage to ships, and harbor alike. If one could describe the intense nature of the sight they definitely deserved a damn trophy for nightmarish detail to the tip. To imagine people trapped in such a situation was sickening

"Introductions are to be made give me your hero names loud, and proud," Chimera spoke giving the girls a chance to introduce themselves professionally.

"Iron Volt ready to learn under your surgical eyes," Aurora chimed with a stance in her hero outfit rather loosened up thanks to her staircase exercise.

Grudges Safe House
Black Miasma
A hundred percent upon listing Jettitare had immediately selected The Grudge as his instructor upon little thought. It went without saying that her style of function matched his a hundred percent. Both were aggressive, both were very astute like in the detective sense, and both believed in aggressive approach upon their enemies. Their was numerous other attributes that lined The Grudge up as a perfect teacher, but delving to deep into detail was unnecessary. Humoring the situation was Charlotte, and Octavia two students who Jet had worked with already, and were good fits as partners to his style. Though his and smug was a terrible situation of first experience the two did line up well quirk wise, and Octavia was well in sync with Jet to combo on the fly.

The more intriguing thing at their arrival among the warehouses was not the confusion stated by miss Neapolitan it was the people who came to retrieve them. The retired hero Titan father to The Grudge, and Father in law to Surge Alloy along with a girl around their age who seemed to geek out a little upon sight of the students who expressed the excitement of the tournament... though Jet had lost in the first round he had oddly noticed he had still gained quite a bit of popularity from it more so then he felt he should have. The other woman presented herself as Titan wife plan and simple teasing the approaching Grudge. As the guests went there way Jet properly waved at the boy, and girl as they hadn't really spoke to him so he did it as a courtesy. He then immediately noted the scythe like growth from the shark teethed girl chuckling a little knowing the feeling of a quirk going out of wack once in awhile.

"Black Miasma it will be a honor to train under you Grudge," Jet spoke bowing to the woman respectfully . Oddly at her request of questions their had been a curious one that came to mind given how she would be a good person to ask he decided to take her up on her offer.

"How is the stress of a hero being with another hero... if you don't mind me asking. I feel with how different you, and sensei are in the hero spectrum it must be a intriguing food for thought of knowledge you can provide... or just in general the the worries that comes to a hero trying to have a family," Jet asked out of the blue. He knew their was eventually to be a course that covered that, but given Grudge was a well known straight forward hero with a personality similar to his it was worth hearing her opinion on it.

Yosuke was astonished to be inside a big time hero facility. Muscle Wizard did have her own agency, but it was small, only comprised of her and her two sidekicks. Dullahan's Flame and the Misoka 5? That was another tier all together. They even had a freaking jet! He was dressed in his current hero outfit, still black and gold with his pink hair styled messily. As each of them listed off their quirks, Yosuke had no idea who to pick. Grimjaw was cool, and had a pretty metal quirk, all puns intended, but wasn't really the kind of combatant that Yosuke was. Red Eagle was the closest to Yosuke in quirk, but wasn't as experience as the others in combat. Focusing more on supporting his team. Yosuke still wanted to be the head of his. He really didn't want to have to deal with even more wind, given how his match history at UA involved an open plains. Which lead him to his decision.

He raised his hand and spoke up. "I respect all of you immensely, which is why this is difficult, but I would like to ask Running Vector to take us in." Yosuke wanted more practice in a close quarter's city setting, having grown weary of the plains, he wanted to move to his favorite territory. Not to mention, partoling with Running Vector sounded fun as hell, running and climbing and jumping. It certainly would be intensive training.

He looked back at the pink girl who was with them. "What you got to say Cupie?"

Mimi was surprised by Chimera. Ususally a name like that doesn't conjure the image of a pretty young lady in a doctor's coat, and yet here she was. It was a strange comparison, Mimi's disposition clashing with her cutsie pink outfit. But she loved it nonetheless. Mimi liked the idea of being a combat medic, but would likely need some better quirk training. With a high enough concentration and something that can bond to sugars, she could theoretically produce medicine, but it was already hard just to force CO2 into her crystals.

That was why she had chosen Chimera to be her partner. Aurora was very pretty, and dressed in her hero outfit, she was ready to go. Then there was Amaris, who Mimi had interacted with at the Mall. She was tiny and cute, but very dark in her style. But that might change, who knows? Chimera asked them to introduce themselves to which Aurora spoke up loud and strong. Mimi was next. She nodded her head and in a very similar monotonic voice as their mentor she called out, but nearly shouting, she said,

"Candy Mimi!" before clearing her throat and giving a peace sign.

Amaris Alucard

Amaris was dressed in her hero outfit, which was that darkly-colored form-fitting catsuit, that gave off a subtle purple shimmer as she moved nimbly in it. Her face made-up with dark red tear drops on her cheeks, gray lipstick, and a black upside down crescent moon on her forehead. With long braids styled in a cool fashion. The girl posed, announcing herself in turn. "I am Ssaigo no Kage. The Lasst Shhadow." Her own voice was a haunting monotone. Said as her dark-rimmed lips curled into a creepy fanged smile.

It seemed that his request for Electros had been accepted. Now Masaru was here with Shunsuke and Ichirou, but as for where they were, the ice user sure as hell didn't know. It was some kind of production building, a factory or slaughterhouse of some kind. He surmised that most others would be taken to an agency or some kind of headquarters, but Electros wasn't even anywhere to be found here. That was, until the man dropped a catwalk and proceeded to strut along it.

Masaru deadpanned in response. He knew Electros was a model and that was where a good portion of his popularity came from aside from his strong quirk. Still, it took the boy aback a bit. Waiting for the man to finish and acknowledged his request.

"Masaru Takeshi. My hero name is Hōzan. Thank you for accepting me here," Masaru answered with a slight bow.

Technically the others too, but not really.

Sitting back at his desk, Killian and K were being sent south, when without warning his phone would ring. "Hello, Headmaster Gregori speaking? What?... Yes, like hell you say! Fine." Hanging it up it seemed Shiketsu wanted Shizui back. Looking at the lists and the departures Gregori would need to even out the numbers a bit. Chimeria now had four and Misoka had two, a car would be sent to pick up the girl then and there, likely before she even finished changing. The question was... who?

Aurora had a work history with her, Isamu studied under her once, Mimi was a new factor and Amaris was somewhat a known factor. Calling the last would be a headache, the first would be somewhat unwise to send to Misoka so early.. Isamu or Mimi then.. The later was new, she didn't need confusion.. Reaching a decision the headmaster places a call. "Isamu. I'm moving you over to Misoka's team, we had a last minute transfer, plus she might do you some good, transfer at the next stop and head to the following address, I'll call ahead of you, do this for me and I'll have some special sweets from the Motherland waiting on your return, I understand if this is a lot to ask. You did request someone else after all."

Isamu had been up bright and early. To say he was excited about his field study would have been an understatement. He was looking forward to working under Chimera again and showing her just how far he'd come as a hero. Plus, he was curious what it would be like working alongside Aurora, Amaris, and Mimi's whose quirk he was still fairly curious about. He'd already been in transit with them a part of the way before he's received the call. "W-what?" Isamu was surprised. "Ah..." a tinge of disappointment graced his voice. "Right. Yessir," he said simply before the man hung up. At least he would be getting treats out of it.

Exchanging a quick goodbye to the girls, who would likely not even notice his departure otherwise, he left. He managed to make it to the meeting place set for Dullahan's Flame. He was barely able to appreciate the Grandiose nature of it before they were split into two groups of three. Man, he'd have liked to talk more to Cupie at least before breaking off. They'd hardly had any time to really hang out recently. But oh well. Looking at his newfound companions for this he found himself a little less then confident. Kanna, a true marvel of strength, maturity and (in his opinion) beauty. He was pretty sure she was a powerhouse in more ways than one. In truth, not seeing her in the final battle had left him more than a little shocked.

Then, there was Heisuke. A more comforting presence, though still a rocky one. The weekend had come and gone, and though they were on good terms, they still hadn't hung out much. He found himself thinking back to their talk at the beginning of the weekend.

Waiting for an answer from the girl, who he'd later learn was named Mimi, Isamu soon felt his attention drawn to another. Heisuke. He swallowed softly, almost inaudibly. He looked at the new girl and Shun. She didn't seem quite the talkative type. Others had already come and gone. Shunsuke gave a soft goodbye, before dismissing himself to do other things. He hadn't seemed quite happy. Isamu would have liked to speak more, or attempt to, but avoiding Heisuke wouldn't do anything.

"Alright, let's go. Hopefully we can actually talk more later. I'll make a cake when we have some time to actually welcome you." Though everything seemed to be moving fast, that didn't mean the girl didn't deserve a proper welcome.

Even so, with that, he left to lead Heisuke away. Heisuke would follow him. Isamu was sure about that. He walked up the stairs. Back towards Heisuke's room. That was good enough right? Isamu didn't want the taller boy back in his own room. After all, he wasn't sure how this talk would go. And if he ended up needed to storm off again… well, he didn't want the embarrassment of accidentally leaving his own room. So, as he stood at Heisuke's door, he looked up at Heisuke.

Isamu's face remained as stern as he could muster. "You know… That was really rude, Heisuke." The plan was to stop there. Maybe it was a bit of his newfound confidence, or maybe it was pent up frustration at Heisuke. Regardless of the reason, Isamu continued to speak. "She's new here. You could have at least pretended to care and greeted her like a normal person. Would that have been too hard? Would it have killed you to put somebody else before yourself, for just a minute?" Isamu huffed, throwing his hands up.

"'Hi, I'm Heisuke. It's nice to meet you, but I kind of need to talk to Isamu here. Sorry for being a bit of a rude dick.'" Isamu said in his best Heisuke impression. It was… actually pretty good. "Anything like that would have been fine. But no. Ignore her presence completely. Focus only on what you want." He was getting off track. He took a breath. "I'm sorry. You wanted to talk, right?" He coughed lightly, clearing his throat. "Is everything alright?" Despite the small lecture and rant… Isamu did care, evident by the genuine worry in his voice. Any attempt at looking serious or being angry, was undermined by this worry and care for his friend.

He could already tell he was in for a lecture, seeing as he was almost ignoring him speaking to the new girl first, plus he could tell just off his face that he was flustered. Watching his friend turn and walk away, it took a second for him to process if he should follow until he put the pieces together that he should follow. "Uh..bye." He said to the girl, more so in an awkward tone before following a few feet behind him.

Realizing they were stopping at his dorm, he was about to open it before Isamu suddenly started speaking, beginning with a lecture. Whether it was his obliviousness or just his own selfishness showing, he didn't even think to introduce or even ask politely, he really needed to work on his introductions. "I wasn't really-" As he continued speaking, he made sure not to bud in again until he was sure he was done speaking, so after giving a couple of seconds of breathing room, he spoke. "That impression wasn't half bad." He chuckled lightly before changing to a more serious tone. "Are you mad about the way I spoke to her or about what I said to you?" Whatever his next words would be he knew the answer. "What I really wanted to say, is that what I said was shitty, like real shitty…" He paused so that he could gather his words so that he didn't say anything he didn't mean. "All you have done was look out for me, saying those things was not fair at all, I'm...really sorry Isamu."

Isamu rolled his eyes. "Don't act cute," he said softly, though a small smile found its way onto his face. Still, Heisuke's question made the small boy think. He sighed and closed his eyes. He thought about speaking up, responding, but he wanted Heisuke to finish. Once he was sure the taller boy had, Isamu opened his eyes. He was silent at first. Perhaps for a bit too long. Was he just trying to make Heisuke sweat a bit? Looking for the right words? It didn't matter. Soon he would open his mouth.

"Look… If I'm being honest? Both." The boy finally said as he leaned back against the door frame, crossing his arms. "You shouldn't treat people like that. Especially people you've just met," he sounded exasperated at this. The truth of the matter was, he had a high opinion of Heisuke in spite of everything. "And I guess, I know you're sorry. I didn't think you meant anything, but you know… I was still really hurt. I don't just wanna forgive you. I kinda already do, but… Hanging out with you isn't easy." He groaned and ran his fingers through his hair.

Even so, in the interest of honesty, he still had more to say. "Heisuke, you've got so much going for you. And you just waste it. Frustrating as you can be, you're a good looking person. You have boundless talent. You're awesome as fuck," he paused for a moment, his cheeks reddening a bit. "At least you could be. You know. If you spent more time working on trying to better yourself, instead of trying to be a jerky, loner, douche all the time. Seriously. Why do you have to try so hard to piss off everyone you come into contact with?"

He had missed talking to his friend, no one had ever spoken to him as Isamu did, sure maybe that was the way he talked to everyone, but even when everyone shunned him Isamu was there being a friend. As he anxiously awaited for Isamu to say essentially anything, he quietly tapped his index finger onto his palm, his way of dealing with stress. Before he could bud in to end the silence Isamu finally spoke up, causing his posture to straighten as he listened to his lecture.

It hurt to hear all those things coming from his friend, it was words that he needed to hear though it didn't hurt any less. What really hit hard was hearing how much he hurt Isamu, sure he knew that his words impacted him, but not to the point of losing the small amount of trust he had gained, all he wanted to be was the person Isamu knows he could be. "You're right, I've been shitty...I didn't wanna see it until after what I said to you, I know I can be oblivious and ignorant but I'm honestly trying...You made me see that."

He let out a small chuckle thinking about his last few days, all of this started off what he said to Isamu. "I've actually been going around making amends of sorts, I remember you told me that I should apologize to those I hurt, all because of what you said, So thanks." He smiled at his friend as a sign of thankfulness.

Isamu listened closely. He smiled, though there was still a hint of sadness behind it. "Heisuke, I'm really happy that you're working so hard to try and make things right. I really am," he paused for a moment to take a breath. "I'll do my best to help you through things whenever I can. And if I can, I'll always do my best to be there for you." Still there was something off about this. Something Isamu wasn't quite sure how to put. But it was there.

"But I think you're giving me too much credit here." Isamu looked down for a moment. "I'm glad I've helped you see that there was a problem, but you shouldn't be changing for or because of me. Deep down, I don't even think that you are. I think you want to be better. But you're worried that even if you are better… that if you get… rejected… somehow that'll make everything worse…" His words slowed a bit, almost as if in realization, but he shook those thoughts away.

The small boy lifted his head again to meet Heisuke's eyes. "There are a few things that need to happen before we can worry about hanging out again. First, why are you trying to be better? Why are you making amends? The answer can't be because you hurt me, or because you wanna make things right with me. I can't bear that cross." He paused for a moment. "Second, stop worrying about what everyone thinks. Worry about what you and the people who matter to you think. It's… helped me a lot recently."

Isamu lifted his arms, and slapped them against Heisuke's forearms, gripping them hard (of course not hard enough to hurt. "And third…" he paused again, but this time to offer his friend a warm smile. "Stop beating yourself up. You already know what you did wrong. Learn from it, let it go, and move on. Otherwise, you're just dragging yourself down. At least with me. Okay? We're gonna figure things out. Okay? It's just gonna take some time."

He had no idea what to expect after speaking, being as oblivious as he is, there was only hope that he didn't say anything too awkward or insensitive. Thankfully after hearing he didn't mess up again, still, though he was disappointed, maybe he expected too much or too little but he wished things were just like before. If there was one way he was going to fix what he broke, then he would do it in a heartbeat.

"I'm glad-" Before he could speak he was once more interrupted, Isamu was giving him, even more, to think about, this whole time he thought he was doing it to gain his friendship back, but what other reason would he do it for if it wasn't to gain his friendship back? The more he listened he started to ponder the thought that maybe he wasn't wrong, was he doing this for his own sake to be better? Maybe his fear of rejection stemmed from his father and how he pushed him away.

It was only fair to Isamu that he would work on himself first, putting him through more of his own drama was just going to make things worse, his only hope is that while he does so that he isn't left behind, that he would continue his life without Heisuke in it. "I don't wanna do what I did again to you or anyone else, I'll do better for myself so that you don't have to worry about me as much, it's a promise." He spoke as sincere as he could, feeling much better than he did before he had the conversation.

Feeling his friend's hands on his arms, he closed his eyes and listened to him, nodding to show that he understands. "I can do that, I know things can't just snap back into place after what I said, but I'm glad we talked...You've given me a lot to think about, you emotional guru." It almost balanced out too well, what Heisuke had in mental intelligence Isamu had in emotional intelligence, he envied that of him.

Isamu couldn't help but smile. "I'm glad we talked too ya big dork." He said with a small laugh. Although things wouldn't be exactly the same, he was glad to be on the road to friendship once again with Heisuke. It might take some time, but he was sure Heisuke could only go up from here. Isamu was sure of it. "And I don't know about emotional Guru," he added, shaking his head.

"Now, I'm gonna go see if I can try to actually start planning on who I'll choose for the field study. I hope you have someone in mind." He began to walk away. "As for you, text me or something. Don't self-isolate again." He was planning on heading to his room, but then something occurred to him. "Ah… And I still gotta properly greet Mimi... You should too!" His words began softly, but quickly rose to make sure Heisuke could hear.

He wished he could talk like this more with Isamu, nobody knew how to brighten up a room as much as he did. "Well, I do, It's a real curse you got there." He joked back, lightly tapping him on the shoulder. Switching to the topic of field studies, there were a few names that he narrowed down to, though he wasn't going to say which to influence his choice. "I have an idea actually."

He promised himself that he wouldn't fall on his old habits, the mistakes he made before were all behind him, the only thing he could do now and strive forward, not look to the past. "I'll make sure that you see so much of me that it makes you sick, how about that?" He gave him his signature smirk while raising an eyebrow. "I think I will later, I'll give you some space from the big mean Heisuke." He mostly joked, though their was some seriousness in his voice. "Thanks for understanding, you're a good friend."

He was pulled back to reality as their mentor gave them the order to suit up. Introduce themselves with their hero names. He was quick to change. He tried hard to be fast, but he wasn't as quick as his companions. Well, it wasn't like speed was the name of the game, right? He soon emerged, suited up, jacket on, and chemical dispensers at his sides. "Bombs Away, ready to go!" Isamu announced himself with a determined look on his face. Part of him was still in awe of Kanna and Heisuke, though he at least felt like he belonged now. As far as questions went though...

"None from me, Dullahan's Flame!" Well that wasn't exactly true. He had many, but none of them pertained to the field study. They was more the wonderings of a fanboy. One who admired her not just as a teacher, but as a fan. Of course, Isamu was a fan of many heroes in general. It was why he had kind of an obsession with the gatcha game. More so why he felt the need to help people. Maybe his idea of a hero was more idealistic though. He could see other perceptions of what a hero could or should be, but when it came to himself, he knew exactly the kind of hero he wanted to be. But without working with and learning from heroes like Dullahan's Flame even if she didn't exemplify the ideal of herodom, he would never grow.

Shunsuke
From UA to an Abandoned Slaughter House(?)
Mentions: @Jessica2477 @EmperorsChosen
Shunsuke's weekend hadn't been the most eventful. Aside from maybe one or two things. He'd spent a lot of time thinking, working out and preparing himself. Of course, he'd made a bit of time for relaxation. All work and no play often garnered less than favorable results. Still, he would have liked to have spoken to Aurora at least. Maybe Heisuke too. He wasn't one hundred percent of the mindset that he'd actually done anything inherently wrong... but his talk with Amaris had helped him see that he could have handled things better. And if for nothing else, he should have apologized for that.

Regardless, he had to get his head in the game! He'd gotten up early, got a good work out in, and had bathed. Now... here he stood among his peers. Masaru... He'd mad a bad first impression on him. But hopefully he could make up for that. Then there was Ichirou. He hadn't spoke with him much, but he seemed like a good person. Shunsuke liked that.

Still, as they entered the factory like building he couldn't help but look around, before Ichirou asked his question. The purple haired boy shifted his gaze to the son of the number one hero and shrugged. "Probably wants to make..." Before Shunsuke could finish the thought there he was.

"Yup..."

Shunsuke couldn't help but laugh a little bit. He'd never been the biggest fan of the number two hero. It wasn't anything in particular. He respected and admired Electros. He'd just always raved over Titan and heroes like Titan. Even if they had more complex quirks than him, they were relatively straightforward and awesome. Electros though was the number 2 hero in all of Japan. There was a reason for that. Shunsuke knew there was more than a few things he could learn from him.

Still, should he have been taking notes? Nah. Just observe. It wasn't like he was gonna be offered a chance to model anytime soon.

As Electros finished his grandiose display Shunsuke chuckled again. "A pretty bad one!" he called out following Eisuke's question to Ichirou about what kind of uncle he'd be if he didn't know his own nephew's name. Then Masaru introduced himself. Shunsuke supposed that was his cue to go. "The names Shunsuke Saito!" He spoke proudly before pounded his fist into his chest. He felt like that was how his Master Titan would do it. "Hero name: Kihon Panzer!"

"So, Mister Number 2 hero,"
Shunsuke grinned, ready to begin whatever it was Eisuke had planned. "What comes next?"

Kanna Tanaka & Dullahan's Flame (Misoka) - Misoka's Headquarters

As the trio introduced themselves, she smirked beneath her high collar just a bit, taking them each in turn.

Kanna made zero effort to hide who she was, minus a kitsune mask and a pair of punching bracers, she looked very much the miko and her name was a combination of Kami and Miko, a fitting name she had to say. Still it seemed the two of them had the same idea in regards to being a hero.

Then was Heisuke as Psykey, his uniform looked rather standard for the hero flair with a few neon lights, likely the influence of Allo if she had to guess. The suit was largely black with orange stripes here and there, like some sort of body armor.

Then finally there was Isamu, Bombs away, he had a large green military style jacket, undershirt and large combat boots with a few pads and what seemed to be a utility belt. His style was somewhat practical at least.

Nodding her head Misoka looks at the trio and speaks, treating them like equals, though still beneath her in ranking.

"Very well, Kamiko, Psykey and Bombs Away, I Dullahan's Flame now take you under my wing for the duration of your first field study, it's nice to see you all are doing so well. I know you said you had no questions related to this but I'm not against small talk, but for now I need you all to listen and to pay good attention. This information cannot leave this room."

With that Kanna's gaze narrows behind her mask as she slides it to the side, getting a look at an office projector that Misoka was firing up.

"Shortly after those your class defeated were taken in a mass jail break was carried out. You must have seen it on the news. What we haven't told the public is the extent of the escapees.. Nearly the whole prison population of fifty thousand now are back on the streets. Only a few hundred stayed of their own violation.. Every single prisoner you caught were among the escapees. It is highly likely that part of your battles was but a ruse to stage this great escape. Because of this police and hero resources are stretched to the limits."

Continuing on she flicks to another bit of footage showcasing a male with a kitsune mask of sorts and a highly modified police costume. "While attempting to track down those who escaped we came across this fellow... Rintaro Wantanabe, or as the Media calls him, the Painter Killer. He was responsible for wounding a few of your friends during that incident at the start of the school year. It's highly likely he has information and details about this operation, given he fought alongside some of those you fought only days ago."

Pressing the button again a top down view of a neighborhood block was shown. "I know this will be dangerous and can be risky, but we are dangerously short handed. For your field study you'll be helping me capture this criminal, then I'll question him, see what I can learn. I know this might not be what you signed up for, but you'll be jumping feet first into a heroes work. I will not hold it against any of you if you wish to leave.

If you wish to help me please take one step forward.. I will also answer what questions I can."

With that, Kanna steps forward without hesitation.

"So when do we leave?" Smiling at that, Kanna glances at the other two. "I cannot speak for them but if I can remove one who wounded our fellows so terribly then I will not stand back and allow him to escape, I also want answers."

Ayame Daichi - Misoka's Headquarters - Hangar

"So, that's one for Running Vector." Says the pilot as he looks at the rest. "Well, RPS it is. 1, 2, 3 go!" After a few rounds the numbers went down more and more till Grimmjaw was the second selection.

"Haha! Fuck yeah! Err... You kids didn't hear that." He says, quickly rubbing the back of his head.

With that the rest shrug or bow and go about their work leaving the other two to do this task as they went about other tasks.

"Alright then, so it's us huh? Well then, we talked this out first so, get suited up and come back here, we'll be waiting for you to carry out a little training, then we'll go on patrol. Likely into Shinjuku or some of the shopping districts in the greater Tokyo region."

"And don't take it too easy now heh. We are gonna give yah a good warm up, then we'll show you it ain't all about dressing up all fancy we got to do work on the chopper and the gear, and the patrol will go on for some time, we made arrangements for you to spend your weekend nights here and just so happens today is a Friday if you catch my drift." Grimmjaw adds in.

"Yep. Crime doesn't take break and neither do we, mostly. So you two get ready and we'll show you a heroes work isn't all about dressing up."

Eisuke and Ichirou

@EmperorsChosen @Demon Shinobi

Eisuke smiled down as his gaze looked between the three. "Heh. I had to team up with Nova Master and Alloy a couple times in the past, and looking at you three like this; wow it takes me back. Must have been what it was like looking through the eyes of that villain. Back when I had hair just as silver as Ichi's." He put his hand over his face dramatically, "Ugh, but then Surge Alloy had to push me so hard, so good, until my pretty silver hair turned white. What an asshole."

He jumped down from the catwalk onto the floor in front of them. Eisuke, one hand on his hip, seemed to have a natural strut as he started walking around. His eyes fell on Masaru's hair and he couldn't help but smile.

"I see you've been watching my videos. The hair looks great on you. Set the hairdryer to "cool" if you want to keep your bangs out of your eyes."

Eisuke stopped next to a large piece of machinery and leaned against it.

"Alright, let's get down to why you're here instead of out patrolling with me right now. You see, I saw your fights with the Class 1B kids. All of you did great. You're good at what you do and you show amazing potential. But, you're all reckless in your own way.

In the Hero world, recklessness is a villain in of itself. It's unpredictable, it's dangerous, and it could end up getting yourself or someone else seriously hurt if you don't control it. Kihon, how would you sleep at night if a civilian was seriously injured because you rushed in instead of stopping to think of a plan? Hōzan, do you think you wouldn't feel guilty if your comrade had been seriously hurt because you didn't stop to think about the obvious trap you were running into? And Blue Inferno, wouldn't you feel crushed if you had set punched your teammate instead of your opponent? A punch like that was aimed for someone who could take it. That teammate you had wouldn't have stood a chance against it if you weren't careful."

"I-I know uncle. I'm glad I didn't hit him." Ichirou said, looking down at his clenched fist. "I got carried away..."

Eisuke nodded once understandingly. "All it takes is one second of tunnel vision, just one, and you become just as dangerous as the villain. You're all capable of it. Hurting someone, or killing them, on accident. It's happened before and it'll keep happening while reckless Heroes hold their licenses. Lucky for you, I'm gonna help you as much as I can."

He carefully watched the three of them. "Now, I brought you three here to this slaughterhouse. Tell me, what are you surrounded by?"

The three boys could easily come up with the answer. Metal.

Eisuke didn't wait for an answer. "And what do you think metal does?"

In one flash, Eisuke's spark completely flashed through the machinery powerfully, breaking into multiple sparks at the top of the machine that it almost resembled a firework.

"Welcome to my playground. The three of you are gonna duke it out 1 v 1 v 1, and while you do that, I'm gonna be setting up some electricity to shock you. Be wary of your surroundings, and don't hit what you shouldn't. Once you three get a good understanding of thinking over recklessness, then I can comfortably take you to the streets. Until then, you better learn fast or you'll be smelling wastewater and harsh chemicals until you do. Any questions?"

Cupie

"A couple "fucks" and "shits" doesn't hurt anybody." Cupie answered Grimmjaw in return, revealing she had the same mannerisms in speaking as he did. "Cuss all you want cause I might cuss twice as much."

Hearing their explanation about what they were going to do, she inwardly groaned that she was going to miss out on a weekend of gaming and relaxing. But! They were going to do some patrols and crime stopping, so that could definitely be more fun than just sitting at the dorm waiting for classes!

"Fuck yeah! Let's do it then!" Cupie responded, her hands up in a "v" formation as she felt herself becoming excited.

She would leave to get suited, then would returned fully dressed with her rifle attached to her back and her pistols strapped to her waist.

Zee Collabs.

Looking over to his side, Heisuke observed both of his partners that would be participating in the field studies with him, both of which he was glad to have on his side. Though his comfort didn't last long when Dullahan's Flame began to speak, revealing that some of the escapees were from the attack that left Makoto dead, which meant that the killer was still out there. His skin began to bleach white as he processed the news, his fingers clenched in his fist.

"D-Did he escape…" He stops almost muttering, before picking his head up. "Was Makoto's killer one of the prisoners that escaped!" He didn't much care for the rest of the news, his anger began to take over his body until he remembered what Isamu said, knowing that his anger was not going to help in this situation. "I will do whatever you ask, If this man leads us to get Makoto's killer behind bars again, I won't stop until he is found!"

Kanna for her part remained passive as her eyes and that of Misoka shift to watch the outburst of Heisuke, truth be told Misoka had problems choosing who to invite or rather Gregori had solved that problem.. More than a few of the students were close to the boy, even if he were a turncoat twice.

"Heisuke. Calm yourself." Misoka says, sighing a bit as she carried on. "Makoto's answer may be found through this but you need to look at the bigger picture, a villainous group is at our gates and thousands of the worst criminals and scum are now out and free. I can understand your feelings but our calling goes far beyond simply the actions of one man.

If you can't do this as your hero name of Psykey, but rather as Heisuke then you won't be helping with anything. We'll be cooperating with a detective for this in gaining information as well."

As rough as it might sound, Makoto's killer would be a bonus but not the focus. "I need you calm for this, the man we are going after has killed, many times in fact and quirk users at that. If you go in with theatrics it may not end well..

Are we all clear on that?"

Kanna nods her head in affirmation, looking at her two fellows.

It wasn't even something Isamu needed to think about. But he was shocked all the same. Call it wishful thinking, but he'd hoped that the prison break had been exaggerated on television. He wanted to believe that it wasn't as bad as it had been made out to be. But, of course, part of him knew. Deep down, it was plain to see if you looked at the scenario from a logical standpoint.

He glanced at Heisuke. He wanted to grab his arm or something, tell him to keep calm... that it'd be alright. But right now, Isamu wasn't sure. He shook his head.

"W-we have to keep a calm head. Or... Or somebody else could get really hurt," he said, finally finding his voice as he gently patted Heisuke's arm. Isamu was scared. Of course, he was scared. Who wouldn't be scared?

But he had to stay calm. He clenched his fist. He wanted to find Makoto's killer as much as Heisuke, but Makoto would never be happy if he knew they were careless or consumed by the search for revenge. He looked back at Misoka. "Clear ma'am... No. Dullahan's Flame." Steeling his resolve, Isamu took a breath. "S-so, what sort of leads do we have in the search for our target? And is... is there a plan of action for how we'll a-approach him?" Though he would have loved a more lighthearted approach and introduction, Isamu was going to take this as seriously as possible. And if it were this serious a case, he was more than ready to jump right in.

"Hmm, that depends on what our detective friend learns, so far we know he's been spending a lot of time around here." Keying up a large district block with a few construction projects going on she sighs lightly. "Sadly heroes as we are, are not equipped nor trained to tail a target, hence the police lending what support they can. I could not ask nor trust some of you with shadowing him, more so in your current getups. As it currently stands I'll be working to coordinate our movements and the focus will be on pinning him in place. Towards that effort a construction site might be the best bet as all three of you can use your quirks to the fullest while it gives him less materials to use for his paintings. The problem is of course in luring him there."

Heisuke wanted to lash out, find a way to get Makoto's killer anyway he could but that wasn't going to help anyone, letting his anger take over him would not help anyone. Looking over to Isamu, he started to calm down after hearing his voice, taking a deep breath he started speaking again. "I apologize Dullahan's Flame, anger does nothing to help anyone, I also apologize for my outburst and will follow your lead." He wanted to be a better hero and acting so idiotic would only worsen his chances.

He listened closely to her plan, it didn't bother him that she didn't trust them, hell his outburst did not help that, but still, they were only kids after all and still learning. "Well I'm not so sure on luring him here, but If he does get in a certain distance of the construction site, I could pin down where he is by reading his thoughts." He proposed though he didn't have much hope that she would trust him in this task.

"Hmm.. we'll go with that, though it might be difficult picking one mind out of so many." Thinking it over Misoka gives a nod, looking at Kanna.

"What do you think?"

"Well we could search the area at least, he might not be so hard to spot, no more than he would be able to spot us. But we could ask around a bit, some people have a habit of noticing and forgetting what they notice in these cities."

"Very well, I'll be keeping my eyes on you all while I talk with the detective. If you notice any sign of him DO NOT engage him, we'll need to play this by the numbers and I can speak to you through my clone heads.. Please stay safe, we'll head out in the service van, from there you'll be on foot, my sidekicks have a job judging by the hazard lights on the field."

Heisuke was happily surprised that Misoka had actually agreed to his idea, even smiling before hiding it so as to not look dumb. "Multiple voices were something I struggled with for a while but I've learned to control it, all I need is the time to do so."

The plan seemed straightforward enough, survey the crowd for any signs of the man and do not engage if made contact. "We'll have each other's backs, you can count on us."

Isamu tried thinking of the many different ways that the target could potentially be located on the mission. "Um..." he paused for a moment to try and figure out how to word what he wanted to say. "Wouldn't it be possible for a tech savvy hero, sidekick, or police officer to use facial recognition software to track him with images taken from traffic cams, store fronts and other things like that?" It should have been possible right? After all, this was commonly used software in this day and age. "Even if he were to be consistently wearing a mask, you could track that... But of course, he might largely avoid cameras. He couldn't avoid or know about every camera though..." Isamu paused as he felt himself beginning to ramble without explaining the why of it all.

"Ah! Um... I didn't... I just think that if we're collaborating with the police and they could use something like that, we could pinpoint a smaller area to search." Then, between himself, Kanna, and Heisuke, it would likely become an easier task. But one question might have remained... Had Isamu studied all that? When? The truth was, Isamu didn't feel... natural when he wasn't doing something any more. He often found himself burned out from studying chemistry, but not studying felt weird. Plus he had fun learning new things. So, he took every chance he got to broaden his understanding of various subjects in the hopes that at some point the information would be useful.

Heisuke's mind reading would certainly be helpful. But that was only if he could effectively communicate to Isamu, Kanna, and Misoka. Isamu was trying to think out any manner of things that could happen. Best and worst case scenarios as he followed Misoka, though he made it clear he was indeed paying attention. Multitasking had been something he'd spent a fair amount of time working on as of late.

"I-it would also help me and Kan... Kamiko not have to rely entirely on potential witnesses and hearsay..." he added. In truth, much of what he said might have just been dismissed if they didn't have access to anyone who could carry out such an endeavor. But the police force had to have something right? Why wouldn't they in this day and age?

"That isn't a bad idea persee, but the Lawyers would have our asses swinging in the breeze." Misoka says in response to his suggestion. "This isn't England. We can only use that information after a crime is in progress where it exists at least. And in this case asking for old recordings will do no good. As far as I know there is no legal active use system, the population would not stand for it as a violation of civil rights.. We'll have to play this by the numbers and with our brains. Plus in this case you'll be surprised how much support he has within parts of the Government and Police. Till his attack on us he had been killing criminals, so we are a bit lucky we even have this much information."

It wasn't an ideal situation but- "We have one thing working out for us, he's not trying all that well to hide, we did narrow it down to a city block afterall."

Heisuke listened to each response when it came to the plan, Isamu was right that it would be difficult to pinpoint where he is so having some type of easier way of identifying him would help, though no such way could be used by the public. "So all we can do is rely on each other, keep an eye out and keep contact…" Something didn't feel right, maybe it was his fear of running into the psychopath but something felt out of place. "Well if this is all we are working with...Then I am ready." Heisuke held his head high, giving his mentor an affirmed nod.

Kanna nods her head and shrugs lightly. "I can't say I like this much myself, it could be he's trying to draw someone out or he's distracted. From what I heard he would kill criminals now he's working with them, something doesn't sound right."

Misoka for her part sighs leading the trio and herself to the back of the base where a white van awaited them. "I'm sure something is up but it's going after him now or going after him later. We have a duty and those to protect."

Isamu sighed. There really should have been something more they could do? Were they're no technologically based heroes that could help with this? Well, at least they'd narrowed it down. That would make his, Kanna's, Heisuke's, and Misoka's jobs easier. Still, he was worried. To say he wasn't would have been a lie. He took a deep breath, following Misoksa to the van.

"I just hope trying to find him turns out to be the hardest part." That may have sounded strange, but if finding the target was the hard part, the ideal hope would be that capturing was easy. "But, I'm not as worried knowing I'll have you guys watching my back." Plus, he'd be working hard to make sure he did his part as well. "Plus, right now, if we can catch him sooner than later, an interrogation by Dullahan's Flame coupled with Heisuke's mind reading might just give us exactly what we need."

Ever the optimist, Isamu wanted to keep his spirits up. He was under no illusion that this would be easy. He knew there was a chance they might fail. But he was hoping they wouldn't. They'd just have to work together.

And indeed it was easier than one would have assumed though mysteriously so as they went through the first day and into the second.

~~

The following morning Misoka stood to greet the rest of them asking them to be in their suits.

"We've pinned down his location, he's seemingly waiting for us.." With all the information they had gained the man was neither hiding nor screaming where he was.

Though the last few days had been slow for Heisuke especially, since he was craving to go and catch their suspect, he had kept a level head and didn't lose his cool, which was bizarre for Heisuke. So when the message finally came for the students to meet with Misoka, Heisuke wasted no time to get over there. Hearing the great news that his location was pinned down, he wasn't as excited as he thought he would be, there was still something off about this, he didn't think it was going to be as straightforward as their usual missions would be, which could indeed mean this is all a trap.

"Just waiting for us? It seems like it's all pointing to being a trap." He wasn't a fan of running in straight away especially when he had no idea what their suspect's motive was, or even if he brought backup. "If I may, do we have a precise location?"

Kanna for her part remains silent as Misoka points at one of the construction sites, a highrise partially completed minus it's upper most floors and some interior work. "He's been turning up here every night. Sadly the police and other heroes are spread thin, so it'll just be the four of us taking him on." She adds in, staring at the rest.

Isamu swallowed hard. Nothing about this seemed right. It was too easy. He inhaled though. Still, there was no turning back. It was just them. They couldn't afford to lose an ally . But that begged the question. "How are we gonna do this?"

Isamu assumed that the pro hero had a plan of some kind. There were a lot of unknowns in this equation, and though he didn't particularly like that... it wasn't like it was a foreign concept to the boy. "Should we all approach from different angles, or should we move in teams, or together?"

"Unfortunately we'll have to take a risk. We'll be mixing the suggestions you gave. If he's waiting then we'll just need to go see him.. Course it likely won't be *that* simple. I however don't expect it to be a trap so much as a challenge. The point being we need him taken in. Course I could be wrong, so here is the plan."

Zooming in on the map, Misoka points at it in a few places, drawing some lines and a few other dots.

"I'll be at the rear semi on my own, my heads will try and find him and look for any signs of others. If there are I'll pull you all out. If not we'll link up to make the arrest. Normally heroes detain and await the police, but as you are aware I am considered among law enforcement, at forfeit to most hero pay and perks, so in short, we'll be taking him in." Looking at the three of them she closes her eyes briefly before speaking. "You three will be staying together and working together, during the arrest itself, once I clear it safe we'll just have to play it by ear. We'll leave late tonight, train, sleep, whatever you need to do. I know this isn't safe, but neither is hero work.." Letting her gaze stay fixed on Isamu for a bit she wondered if he would be alright..

"If there are no further questions then dismissed."

Kanna for her part nods, cracking her knuckles, she still didn't have much to say, well that wasn't fully true. "What do you mean by a test, or challenge rather?"

"From his psyche profile we are dealing with a Samurai from long ago. He may see this all as honorable combat to prove a point. Least that's what I'm betting on. He'll come at us hard."

"But wouldn't he technically be a Ronin? Unless... he just shifted allegiance... That's go against the... " he stopped shaking his head before he could go too far off on a tangent. For Isamu, and to many others, there was a distinction... at least in terms of believe. He shook his head. "Ah... Nevermind ma'am." It wasn't clear this would matter much right now anyway.

"I'll try to make a few first aid and delayed bursts," he shifted topics. "The former act well enough to heal most minor wounds, though it isn't instantaneous and it won't work on the more severe injuries," he explained calmly, before continuing, "The latter function like my normal bombs, but don't explode on impact. Delayed is a purposeful minomer actually. They'll explode when enough force is applied."

He took a deep breath. "I'll likely be able to give everyone 2 or 3 of each, but carrying to many would be dangerous." Once he finished he looked over his friends, their mentor. "I-if you think it'd be useful to have that is. I'll still probably be preparing throughout the night."

Isamu couldn't help but wonder why Misoka's gaze had fixed on him for a bit longer than the others. It was evident he noticed, but did he bring it up? Did he ask? He shook his head. No. Now wasn't the time. He took a deep breath. He needed to prepare. Make sure he was ready. He would spend the night doing just everything he could until he was ready. Luckily, as long as he made sure to keep himself fueled up, fatigue wouldn't be a big issue.

Though Heisuke was still worried about the mission just being the four of them, Misoka was a pro hero, plus this could be the time that he can show his true abilities in the real world. His eyes set on the mentor as she spoke, the plan seemed good to him, though it did worry him that she wanted all three to be together, this could be dangerous.

Heisuke looked over to his friend, he didn't know what was bothering him but it seems Dullahans Flame saw it too, he decided to not bring it up at the moment and maybe speak to him after. "No questions over here."

With that the three were left to their own devices or to speak to one another as the hours were quick to pass and the quad would head to the construction site, which seemed to be for some hotel or another, largely unfinished it had much in the way of both open space and missing floors, Misoka would press on with her heads, flame engulfed and hovering body following behind, she scanned the area carefully.

"It's clear all the way up to the 15th floor." One of her disembodied heads, if not the original, says to the trio, flying past them, enveloped in a blue flame her gaze remains fixed.

"He is waiting for us just as I thought.. We'll move in quickly, let me put myself back together."

Doing as she said she would, Misoka walks on her normal feet taking the group with her, hopefully this would go on without incident, she did want to train or speak with them a bit, maybe he was turning himself in.

It was as soon as they entered the last partially built constructed zone that her heart sank a bit with sudden realization as more of the location could be seen..

Rintaro was there, sitting cross legged as he gently petted a dog, shooing it away gently with the arrival of the four, all around him rolls of parchment glowed with a faint fire as his masked gaze settled on them.

"Ah. The Dogs of Class 1A.. Chance or fate I wonder?" Rising to his feet with hand on a sword, he bows at the Miko before steadying himself. "Long have I labored for the Greater Good of Japan, only to have my work turned into ash, my allies breaking out terrors from a prison, terrors your cowardly ilk have placed behind bars to insure future employment and positions for yourself, a society built upon a lie, a lie built upon the dictates of the Americans long before. For once and all we must see which Japan shall emerge or which shall fall.. I am disappointed none of the Gaijin are among your numbers, but such is the will of the Kami."

Heisuke was a little disappointed by what little had happened so far in their field studies, still he was grateful for the opportunity to be under the mentorship of Dullahan's Flame but he only wished he could do more to test his abilities to the fullest. Thankfully his disappointment would be pushed away when Misoka came down to their floor and announced that it was clear and that their mission would finally begin. Jumping up to his feet, he would follow the three up to their floor and await their criminal.

As they approached, Heisuke lifted an eyebrow when he finally got his first look at their criminal, even more so shocked when he saw the man shoo one of his dogs away, though by the look on their mentors face, he shouldn't underestimate him. His whole speech was almost foreign to him. "Alright paintman or whatever the media calls you these days, how about you make it easy on yourself and give up, or maybe you'd wanna do things my way…" Stretching his fingers with each hand, he flexed his knuckles so he was ready for battle.

Isamu had made manny preparations, His pockets were fairly full, a few of each of the type of bombs he thought would be most useful. He'd given Heisuke, Kanna, and Misoka each 3 first aid burts, but had held off on giving them the explosive equivalent. It'd have been too dangerous to have those in their pockets.

In his own pockets were delayed bursts, first aid bursts, the chemical mixture for his foam bursts, and the chemical mixture for incendiary bursts. He was hopeful that by having some of these prepared in the first place, he could minimize on time if the battle kicked off immediately. Even now, as they made their way to meet Rintaro, Isamu prepared for the worst.

Heisuke seemed the first to speak after Rintaro. Isamu shook his head. "We should try and get rid of the parchment paper, if possible." he whispered to his friends and mentor. Isamu took two cautious steps forward, holding his hands up. He was nervous, and on guard, but at least like this he could show he wasn't much of a threat. Norbody ever really saw him as one anyway. Hopefully, even if Rintaro wasn't one to underestimate his opponent, his code of honor would keep him from attacking needlessly.

"W-what would you have had heroes... no... us do? Kill every villain we captured? You talk about the will of Kami. But if you're really a pious man, you'd know that who lives and dies isn't for us to decide so simply." Isamu took another small step forward. He'd never been so happy that his quirk didn't require the use of his hands. If he could get a little closer he figured it'd be easier to try and end this quickly. He just needed to be ready to spit a bomb or two in the event of an attack. Plus, Kanna was there. She would have his back right?.

The smaller boy took two more steps before he stopped. "You're a samurai, right?" He asked as he surveyed the area. He was under no impression that he could talk Rintaro down. "Who do you serve? Why do you serve them? You can't be under the impression that they'd be as loyal to you as you are to them right?" But, he'd hate himself for not at least trying. So, if he needed to. This would hopefully provide Misoka a chance to better strategize. Maybe her or Heisuke could take care of the parchment. But if it wasn't discreet, that could spell trouble, not just for Isamu, but for all of them.

Kanna's preparations were far more simple, she just took the time to pray and gather her strength, quietly napping. Upon seeing the man and listening to her fellows she took a fighting stance, bowing her head lightly. She knew what was to come.

"Isamu, get back, Heisuke get ready." Misoka for her part also knew what was to come, silently she beings to hover in the air, blue flame engulfing her body as the clone heads and arms begin to form, her own actual head taking off from her body as she gazed ahead.

Rintaro fo his part smiled underneath the mast at Heisuke's antics before shifting his gaze to Isamu, one by one the paintings emerged from the paper, a number of Samurai warriors, Oni, Tengu, one final large roll laid on the ground behind him as dozens of the creatures joined the fray.

"We can't expect the Gods to do all the work. As to who I serve? This Land, this holy soil, a culture and history that's heartbeat predates the Roman Empire. I serve no one but Justice! Laws serve not in the interest of justice but in protecting the evil! Justice comes from ones heart and need not an Arbiter to call it from afar! Once I've finished with you I'll destroy those Dogs as well!"

With that one of the Tengu Warriors sweeps down and Isamu blocking his path to Rintaro as the Rest roar to life, all manner of living artworks coming to the front with weapons or teeth at the ready.

Remembering what Ayame and the rest had told her, Misoka is quick to give commands as some of her spare heads viciously collide headfirst with some of the paintings. "Kanna! Open a path! Heisuke make use of the equipment left behind! Isamu Follow Kanna in! We MUST NOT allow him to finish that painting! If he does we'll have a dragon on our hands!"

Kanna nodded quickly stepping forward as she lays a hand on isamu to pull him back, rocking a punch squarely into the Tengu's face with enough force to shatter it's mask and leave it's headless body twitching as she pummles it with blows.

"We are fighting for Japan too you know!" She Shouts, or at least she knew she and Misoka were. "I care not for Fame or Fortune!" She says with another hook of her hand. "But I have things I wish to save! I love this ancient land and my Family and we'll take you down!" With that she double hand smashes the Tengu into the ground breaking it into chunks as part of the flooring shakes with dust, the being nothing more than ink. That was one down a couple dozen to go.

Heisuke was worried when Isamu started to make steps toward the villain, though he couldn't do much to stop him, he would survey his environment and remember the words Isamu had told them, get rid of the parchment paper. As he distracted the male, Heisuke slowly pulled the paper closer to him, hopefully without him noticing.

Hearing his mentor's voice, nodded his head to her and kept his composure as he awaited their attack, as the samurai began to come alive he looked around to his environment and what he could do to help, until he noticed the large parchment paper in front of Rintaro. "No you don't!" Without another delay he began to pick up the paper and tried to pull it towards him, he did not want to fight that beast.

Isamu was shocked at the suddenness with which the enemies began to form. Even as the Tengu came before him, blocking the bath toward Rintaro, he swallowed. He'd been prepared for battle. And yet as Kanna pulled him back, he felt relieved. She was quick to smash the bird-like monster to pieces. Any semblance of doubt left him.

"Kamiko is right!" He pulled the ball of chemicals from his pocket and popped it into his mouth. Biting down with a loud crunch, he quickly swallowed. "We have things we want to protect too!" With that, Isamu took a deep breath and began to spit bombs at the various hoards of monsters which had seemed to come to life. He fired accurately in all directions. What may have seemed like a wildfire of reckless attacks was actually a targeted assault. Each bomb would make an impact with one of the monsters, roughly 7 in total. He was quite proud of his marksmanship after all.

But, these wouldn't produce simple explosions. "Incendiary Bursts." Simple, but often quite effective. Spreading flames over the monsters would probably help quite a bit. Hopefully. He had other plans, but for now, this would have to do. Isamu glanced back. Heisuke seemed to be playing subtle and discreet. Using his strengths to get the parchment away. Smart. As long as he defended himself.

"Kamiko, Psykey! I'll cover you both as best as I can. So, do your best and count on me!" His eyes darted around what had now become their battlefield. He was taking note of where everything and everyone was. At least as best he could since new elements had been introduced. He'd just have to do his best and keep up with Kanna while helping as much as he could.

"Tch." Keeping up with his painting the man continues his work even as attempts are made to take it from him, elsewhere the attackers hit by Isamu's fire bombs seem to wither away, though there were still plenty more in the ranks, an Oni this time turns his steel club on Isamu while a Fu dog pair attempt attacking Heisuke, going for his legs. Kanna squares off with a couple Samurai blocking her path as she attempts to engage the painter.

Misoka taking stock of the situation sends in her heads to play distraction for the other beings, keeping numbers somewhat manageable, this was not what she had planned but it seemed to favor them for the time being.

With his concentration on the paper, he took a second to listen to Isamu's voice, a smirk showing seeing his friends' confidence show on the battlefield. "You can count on us too Bombs Away." As he kept his part in the mission by slowly taking the parchment paper away from the paper, he was nearly caught off guard by an attack brought by Rintaro's creations. "Shit!" Having to let go of the paper in order to dodge the dogs attacks, he flew up in the air and dropped down a few feet away from the monsters.

Heisuke began to think of some way to do his part while fending away the creatures, so by using part of his quirk to hold back the creatures and to pull the paper away, he grinded his teeth having to use a lot of his quirk at one time. As the seconds went by, it began to get even more difficult to hold back his goons, so in a desperate plan to not lose the paper, he let the creatures go, instead floating up in the air to get some distance away from them.

Knowing he couldn't keep himself floating forever, he opened a telepathic channel to his mentor. "Is there any way we can destroy the paper so that it can't be usable?" Heisuke wasn't too sure of the villains quirk but if they could destroy his

Isamu mentally cheered at the sight of the paint creatures withering away with the introduction of his incendiary bursts. That is until he found himself face to face with an Oni swinging its club. The small boy swallowed hard. "Well shit..." he grumbled before jumped out of the way of the swing, barrel rolling to safety.

Quickly finding his way to his feet, Isamu took a breath. He glanced at Kanna, squaring off with a few samurai. He had a few more incendiary bursts in him. He spit them, three in total, careful to avoid the miko. It was possible he could take out one or two of the samurai and make her path a bit easier.

"Now you," Isamu forced a smirk, though he was terrified inside, and spit three more bombs toward the Oni. One aimed at the head, one at the torso and one at the club. These would explode on impact, though they were more like concussive bursts of energy, rather than the fire he'd displayed moments ago. Even so, his normal bombs packed a wallop.

Then, there was Heisuke. Isamu had to focus on the path before him, but he could spare two bombs. He looked back qucikly reaching into his pocket. Pulling out two prepared Bursts, he threw them at the dog creatures. Aw... He liked dogs... But he had to be tough.

Misoka turns her attention briefly to Heisuke, speaking back to him with her own mind. "Well, well, after all this I do hope to train you a bit before sending you back… It's just paper, wet it, rip it, burn it, but from what I'm led to believe it may not be too much else we can do. Just suspend it, I'll take care of the rest."

With the banner now held mid air, Misoka rams it with some of her spare heads, biting into and brute forcing her way through. With Isamu's counter attack and Kanna breaking her way through, she manages a hit, sending the man spiraling into a pile of steel rods, stabbing him in a few places as he pushes off he begins laughing as his remaining troops melt and fade away, with a stifled cough and a jerk of his arm he begins to clap.

Misoka for her part hovers in front of him, her real head looking on with narrowed eyes. "Kamiko, Bombs Away, Psykey, well done, Painter Killer you are hereby placed under arrest, do you have more to say besides your idiotic laughter?"

"What makes you think this is over?" Walking towards the edge of the building he slams a flash of ink at his feet as drips of blood collect. "You fool. Did you think somehow my quirk was making images move? Did you think it to be the flame alone? My Ink is mixed with my blood! That is how my fire lays claim, if not why don't I just kill you with those gaudy billboards capitalists put everywhere?!"

Suddenly a blue flame runs from along the man and down the sides of the structure, wrapping and flowing bit by bit becoming an image, then another and another..

"HEAVENLY DRAGON DANCE!" Not one, nor two, but three massive Eastern Dragons form from the structure, blue flame engulfing them, one dragon stayed around Rintaro as a shield as he bled his very lifeforce into his creations. "BEHOLD THE LIFE OF A SAMURAI! TO LIVE BY THE BLADE IS TO DIE BY IT! FROM THE ASHES A NEW JAPAN SHALL RISE!" Well past midnight the hardest fight was not yet done. Of the final two Dragons, one barrels into Kanna shoving her back bit by bit, bleeding she locks hands to its jaws, screaming with anger as her skin seems to go tan and a dark aura engulfs her being. The third dragon went for Misoka, chasing her around and cover she attempted to find and take, desperately trying to outrun it as her spare heads slam and puff into smoke against any and all of the tools or loose constructs as she mentally shouts into Isamu and Heisuke's minds. "MAKE USE OF THIS! FIGHT! FIGHT TO SURVIVE! We'll win this! Focus on the first two!"

He was off his game, whether it was finding out his cousin's killer was on the loose or somethings from his past screwing with him, he couldn't let his friends put in all they had when he was there putting half as much effort. His eyes went wide when Heisuke realized what the man's next attack would be. "GET BAC-" He was too late to speak when the three dragons rose from the floor, his hands went stiff when each dragon appeared, two of which attacked Kanna and Misoka, his feet felt like they were stuck to the floor.

Move Heisuke, help them! He wanted to move but he couldn't, his fear pulling him into his own shell. But as Misoka's voice shouted into his head, he finally was able to pull himself back to reality, his fear would not dictate him. "Right!" Looking over to Isamu, he took a deep breath before he spoke into his friend's mind. "I'll get the one guarding Rintaro."

Heisuke sprinted over towards the killer before stopping in his tracks as the first dragon came flying at him, thankfully he was able to stop it from coming an inch closer as he pushed it away from him, slowly walking closer to the painter killer.

Isamu was shocked, his eyes widening as the dragons appeared. His blood? Dammit, how could the boy not have seen that their was more to his quirk than met the eye. One, two, three. He grit his teeth attacked Kanna. Misoka was running and trying to find cover.

The one good thing about the rampaging dragon chasing Misoka was the materials it was knocking loose. She could managed to stay safe for another moment right? Isamu gulped and grabbed a large steel beam before opening his mouth. With almost impressive speed the boy inhaled it, chomping loudly. He had to replenish his energy after all. With that, the boy began to bounce up and down in place, watching Misoka play a game of cat and mouse with the Dragon. He seemed about ready to go before he heard Heisuke. "Wha-?!"

"Heisuke, don't be stupid!" He shouted immediately, before biting his tongue. Misoka had given them their orders. 'TRY TO HELP KANNA!' He followed up mentally, trying to keep his friend from doing something majorly stupid. It was more than likely they'd need all hands on deck. Besides, it wasn't like Rintaro was going anywhere anytime soon. For now, they had to focus on the two in front of them. And though Heisuke was strong, Isamu was sure he could do a little more damage than the taller boy.

The small boy didn't have time to plan or wait anymore. He took a breath and fired off five explosives at the dragon's head. It was moving though. More than likely, these explosives would hit it's body. That was the plan anyway. He'd been watching them for this reason, to anticipate their path. Without even waiting to see if they would do any real damage on the beast he charged forward. He reached into his pocket, pulling out the final pre-prepared bomb and threw it down, stomping it immediately. The resulting blast sent him flying forward.

The plan? Well, he thought of it after playing that really old video game a while back. He'd be following the advice of the stubby little satyr. He was getting on the hydra's... I mean dragon's back! That'd certainly throw off the monster and give Misoka a second to breathe. Maybe he could take care of it like that.

As Heisuke charged the other dragon very little actual damage was done as it recoiled against his advance, swiping away at him with its massive tail, or rather it's whole rope like form as it roared in defiance.

Kanna left on her own starts to slowly lift her rampaging Dragon as she swings it into yet more unfinished construction material with a mighty slam as her strained breathing can barely be heard over her counter attack.

Elsewhere Isamu's counter would have mixed results, the bombs surprisingly effective would bring the dragon low allowing him to climb up it's back. However he now was atop something worse than any bucking bronco. Looking around Misoka starts to form a plan of sorts to deal with the first two dragons.

"Okay, listen up, Bombs Away we'll try luring it to some burnable materials with luck we can catch the whole thing on fire, Heisuke back Kanna up and see if we can drive the other into the flooring, otherwise engage it with any spare steel beams.. The third, well we'll deal with that when we can." As far as plans went this one was rather rough around the edges and would depend on improvisation as Misoka takes her respire to look for fuel barrels kept on hand to run the cutting and moving equipment. Finding a few petrol drums she starts to use her own powers to form spare arms to roll the drums tightly together.

'R-right!' Isamu responded mentally to Misoka, though it was about all he could muster.

This was easier said than done after all. He grit his teeth as he clung to it, feeling the rough, scaly exterior scrape against his cheek. Each buck slammed into his gut like a good kick. "D-DAMMIIIIIIT!" he cried as he struggled to remain atop the beast. He was just barely avoiding damage to his nethers. "Will you-" Isamu managed to grab hold of one of the dragon's horns with his left hand. "Just!-" A bit of blood began to roll down his cheek. He lifted his right hand, balling it into a fist. Soon it began to give off a faint green glow.

"BEHAVE!" He roared as he brought it down, slamming a powerful punch into the side of the dragon's face. As it made impact, this punch caused a small explosion. "Gah..." Isamu yelped at the feeling of the recoil on his arm. That didn't feel good. But nothing was broken.

As Misoka had said, he began to attempt to guide the dragon, using it's horns as grips and giving it a good whack whenever he got the chance. "I... can... do this..." he growled, gritting his teeth. He wasn't gonna stay the same helpless little kid he used to be. He had to be stronger if he was ever gonna be seen as someone the others could rely on. 'S-show me where to go Dullahan's Flame!' he said into his mind, his thoughts as hard to get out without worrying about whether or not he would be bucked off.

"Over here!" Misoka shouts out Verbally as she leads him towards the trap. "Don't stay on all the way! You'll need to set it off afterall! Bombs Away live up to that name!"

Heisuke nodded to his mentors plan and looked over to Kanna, silently letting her know he will run in first. The first thing he needed to do was get the dragons attention away from his friends and instead on him. "Hey ya scaley bastard!" Picking up a pipe that stood near his feet, he tossed it at the creature, causing it to take it's attention to him. Using his telekinesis, he began to pull the creature closer to him and the flooring, though not without a lot of effort.

"U-under..." Isamu stopped as he attempted to continue leading the dragon. Even so, he managed to follow the girl's direction. He swallowed hard. It was rough, but just before the dragon reached the area Misoka had directed him to, Isamu jumped off. He rolled onto the floor, spitting a bomb toward the materials as she's instructed.

While in her fury state, Kanna grins a smile not too different than one her mother would have made she brings down a few support beams atop the Dragon that Heisuke had brought down, crushing it under sheer weight she begins to pummel it with aid of a steel beam. While on the other foot Misoka watches as her plan seems to work out, setting the beast alight as she uses one of her heads to break Isamu's fall.

"Okay, thats..two down." She says eying the one Kanna was still pummeling on till it bursts into ink.

"You've lost, we have four to one odds, surrender now!" She says with a shout towards Rintaro who smiles thinly against the threat.

"How amusing you think you've won, or that by taking me out anything will change."

With a dark gaze from his eyes behind the masked expression the former police officer looks on, when suddenly the building starts to shake. "Wha-"

Before anyone can finish asking what was happening a girl with blonde hair and red eyes hovers above them all, bleeding an intense aura as she hovers in place. "Hahaha..Your usefulness is at an end… Run run before you all are done done!" Of curious note is the fact the girl was in what seemed to be an American flag, her crazed eyes and a set of sharp teeth looked down upon all below her as the building started to shake in portions.

1586905733100.png
Studying the new arrival, Misoka narrows her eyes speaking aloud;

"Psychotris" Misoka was fairly sure she could take the girl on but with her and Rintaro working together.. It would be impossible while ensuring the students were safe… It was to her shock that the other brought down portions of the building atop the dragon with her own telekinesis.

"Go! Get out now!" Yelling at the three it seemed she was sent not to help him but to silence him.. As some of the flooring began to crack and break Misoka calls out as the laughing woman starts to hover away. "Hurry up!"

With his mental grasp, Heisuke pulled the dragon closer to the position given from Misoka. He was startled by the sudden attack dealt by Kanna to the dragon, she intimidated him though he was more intrigued then scared. "Nice one."

Looking back towards his mentor and Isamu, he smiled seeing their dragon already down for the count, he gave a nod to Isamu as a sign of respect. His attention moved towards the last dragon and to Rintaro, who oddly still didn't look worried. Heisuke smugly smiled at his mentor as she warned him of his imminent loss but soon faded when he felt the floor shaking from below him. "What was-" His question would be answered when yet another villain appeared, Heisuke gulped worried about what would happen next.

Thinking a couple of seconds ahead, he was able to read Psychotris mind and knew of her next attack. "Wait don't!" Sadly his attempt to stop the villain's attack was worthless when she dropped parts of the building on top of him. With the mentor's command he was worried that something could happen to her if they ran, though his gut told him to listen to her and leave now. "I can float us down but we gotta go now!"

Isamu returned a nod to Heisuke, though he was fairly tired. One of Misoka's heads had broken his fall, but it still hurt. His face was bleeding. He couldn't say he was in tip top shape, but he was alright. And... The had won... Right?

"We're gonna- what?!" Another villain had come. Psychotris, as Misoka called her, had entered the fray. But why? Was this a trap after all? No... "Don't do it!" Isamu shouted in vain along side Heisuke. You didn't need to be a mind reader. Shit. The place was going to come down and Rintaro was... Isamu shook his head. There was no way. There was just no way!

Misoka called for them to get out of there. Heisuke seemed to have a plan. "The Paint Kill- Rintaro may still be alive. We could still bring him in! We can't just leave him!" Isamu wanted to be a hero. And the heroes wouldn't just leave someone to die like that would they? Plan or no plan, there was still a chance. Besides, Psychotris was already leaving. Isamu wasn't sure any single one of them could catch her without some form of back up. And right now, she was inconsequential. The small boy swallowed hard. The first order he'd try to disobey... Isamu attempted to run forward to try and save the villain, Rintaro. "J-just go! I think I can get him and myself out of here safely. A-and if he's already..." He stopped. "I can get myself out too!" Probably... He didn't say that part though.

Kanna who had mostly been silent till now glares at the boy, snatching hold of him as she made her way for the side of the structure. "No." She says flatly grabbing him, closing her eyes for a time as she tries calming down, her grip remaining all the stronger. "Misoka has him, she's the People's hero isn't she?"

As the structure begins to topple Misoka can only look on as she goes off and out to one side, Rintaro stands his ground seeing no point in running remains stoic shouting;

"DAMN YOU AKIO!" As Heisuke and Kanna forced Isamu out with them the structure began it's partial collapse, dust sprawling out across the area, beams and concrete the area unsafe for the time being.

However soon enough this time passes as Misoka searches through the rubble using her heads finding the painter in quick order, forgetting the other students his dragon had taken most of the impact, minus a piece of Rebar that had went through his lower body. He was losing blood fast..

Trying to stabilize him, Misoka knew she would likely fail as she pressed on his wound, the man however grabbed her by the collar, coughing as he did so. "Listen to my..f-final words.. A man named Akio Kura..he f-fights for j-justice or so I thought..he is not in control as he thinks..eater of quirks..the underground.." Gripping on tighter his words were becoming more and more delirious or so it seemed. "I did what I did..to save Japan..you understand..y-you must..continue..save the nation.." Pausing for a bit he smiles thinly as Misoka removes his mask. "Please...turn me to face the sunrise.."

"Stop talking you are only killing yourself." Misoka says stiffly as he chuckles, coughing up a little blood. "Nothing can change that now..

Japan your son speaks… I have fallen, strength gone… Tomorrow's dawn.."

Saying his peace the man smiles thinly as he draws a small fox with his blood and ink, a small thing hastily drawn as the sunrise began to rise. "Ah..so the sun rises in the east.."

With that his eyes grey over as the small fox puffs into smoke, a soft smile on his face as Misoka sits there exhaling briefly.

Kanna for her part had watched the whole thing but as of yet had said nothing or even reacted other than to say a prayer.

When they finally made it safely to the ground, he was glad Kanna grabbed Isamu from getting himself killed, though he was jealous that Isamu had it in him to run into danger for a villain. Heisuke stood a few feet away as he watched the man slowly die, his final words still sticking with him. "Akio Kura, thought to be fighting for justice, eater of quirks, underground?" He spoke softly only those close to him could hear his words. "I'm sorry Dullahan's Flame that we couldn't do more…" He bowed his head to show his apologies.

"Wha?! K-Kanna! Stop... Let... I can..." Isamu tried to struggle, but the Miko was so strong. He'd even messed up, calling her by her real name. He'd been good to use hero names to this point. He grit his teeth. The scene playing out before them... Maybe he was a villain, maybe he'd done bad things, but was death the only option?

Squeezing his eyes shut, Isamu tried to hold back the tears. "Dammit!" He dropped to his knees. Kanna hadn't had a reason to hold him anymore. He slammed his fist into the ground. "Why didn't you let me help? At least try to? I might have... THe right chemical mixture, a boost to the first aid burst.... Anything! We might have been able to stabilize him- could have... We could have saved him..." He cried, his voice coming out in choked bursts.

He hadn't expected to end their first venture into herodom in tears, and yet here the boy was. His knuckles quickly grew raw, bloodied by his own anger... sadness? He stopped after a few moments. "What's the point of all of this? All of this... death... Why go so far?" he asked, though he didn't expect an answer.

Misoka for her part remains there for a bit, till she finally lets him go, reaching for her head set she lets a few muffled words go across to whoever before finally turning to face the other three.

Zeroing in on Isamu, she could try and comfort him, she could try and redirect his thoughts, a number of things really, but in the end she settled on one.

"It could have been one of you. Maybe you'll think poorly of me but I don't like to gamble.. Why go so far, the point of it all? That's an answer you'll have to figure for yourself." Making for where the trio had came back up, she turns her head around, casting a final gaze at the man and her charges.

"Let's go. I've summoned others to deal with the cleanup.. The rest of your studies with me will be at the barracks till you are sent back to class.."

Smiling a bit with a Chuckle at Cupie, Grimmjaw shrugs. "Well least yah got the spirit, but watch yer mouth around old folks and little kids, hahaha!"

"Hmph.. Says you. But yes both of you do try." Says Running Vector.

Ayame for her part nods checking her equipment wondering if Yosuke had went off to take care of his own outfitting just yet or not.. Turning her attention back to the two supervisors she coughs to gain their attention.

"So..What are we doing first?"

"Well first we'll be cleaning the hangar, once it starts to get later in the evening we'll head out on patrol." Adds in Running Vector.

Yosuke heard just in time that they were going to be spending this time cleaning. Well that's not very cool at all. "Really? We're just gonna… Mop and sweep?..." He didn't try to hide any disappointment in his voice as he was left with the ⅖ of the Misoka Five. He sighed, and went to go grab a broom, knowing that there wouldn't really be any sense in trying to say anything otherwise. At the very least they were going out. He just needed to kill time until then.

"Well we did say we would teach you what goes on in hero work, you think we always run around capturing people? Don't even get me started on the work needed for the helicopter."

Cupie's hands folded behind her head, listening to them talk about what they were going to do. No one needed to take off her mask to know that she was disappointed about the "cleaning first" part, but the part about the helicopter intrigued her.

"Ooo. Hey, can I watch while you guys do maintenance on the helicopter? I love building and seeing how things work."

Before she moved to grab a broom, she gave her friend a slap on the back, "Chin up Yoshi. You'll get to show off how badass you are soon. Better yet, show off how badass you are by cleaning this place faster than me."

As the trio went about their work eventually one of the tasks was bringing out barrels of oil and other fluids to service the military machine, gleaming in the light it's black plate armor seemed to glisten, a relic from yesteryear yet still as deadly today as then.

It was then that a klaxon fired off, lights blaring with the sound.

"Oh! Something's happening!" Ayame says a bit excitedly as she runs over to the others, the mechanics shouting to get clear.

"So Grimmy what's happening?!" She says bouncing next to the other.

"How da fuck should I know? I ain't a mind reader!" With that he calls for the other two as he and Ayame meet Running Vector and the rest in the briefing room, sans Misoka and the three with her.

"From what we gather we have a collapse and terrorist incident at a mall, a few floors were collapsed in, from reports it seems to be a minor issue however more than a few criminals are on the scene." With that a few images show up as white wing continues to speak. "Five criminals in all, we think the leader caused the collapse, the final two are still trying to break into the vaults kept on site by the regional bank." With that images come up for all five as the others mull it over. "Hmm...those three are trouble.." Says Mister Otaku as he turns his gaze to the others.

Grimmjaw is next to speak up. "The two in the vault are juvvie cases, more of game field sorts than combatants, I don't like the idea of throwing the kids alone at them but with one of us there it should be fine." Enlarging the images two girls would come center focus.

"The Fuya twins, Fuyumi attacks with sound and uses records as weapons, Maya uses a form of card rules, can manipulate them into energy attacks with storyboard rules." Adds in Running Vector.

"What do you kids think?" Adds in Red Eagle looking at the trio who were at this point partially dirty from all the physical labor of the day.

"Er..W-we can do it I think, better than you all maybe but how are those two not all that dangerous, what's this about game rules?" She asks, pausing to see what the others thought.

"Are you kidding? This sounds like exactly what I've been waiting for!" Yosuke had dropped his broom with a loud clatter and was running up beside them to look at the images on screen. He was ready for this to begin.

"Huh… Me and Cupie were at that Mall just the other day…" He wondered if maybe they had run into any of the villains who were attacking now without knowing it. Perhaps if they had noticed something strange they could have stopped it. No matter. "I'm all suited up. Let's kick some ass."

"Well, alright, we'll take you all in with us, but only one of us can be spared to go with you inside."

Thinking over it a bit Grimmjaw would lead them part of the way with Running Vector and at the scene they would decide what to do. It wasn't likely that the whole plan would go without a hitch but those two should be well within the ability of these three to deal with.

Within minutes they were in the air heading for the shopping mall, dropping off the pros were quick to engage the others as Grimmjaw works hastily clearing the rubble, once inside Running Vector is quick to meet up with yet another villain, pointing at the others she motions for them to continue ahead, down into the malls basement and vault room.

"Ahh!" Ayame screams, not liking this situation one bit as she hurries along, stopping suddenly she motions to the rest, a frown on her face.

"Oi, calm down." She told Ayame, inwardly sighing in relief that she didn't stutter.

Though Cupie felt her own jitters surfacing seeing the mall in its current state, she was trying to steel herself for the potential battle that was coming. She scanned the area with her mask, using the perception tool to try and take note of the living bodies that may be around. It picked up a few, but she wasn't sure if they were friend or foe.

"I'm picking up people, more than just two." She quietly told whoever was around. "Be careful."

Yosuke was unfortunately not able to do much until they were right in front of their target. The front door would be difficult. They were trying to breach a vault. Those typically aren't conducive of alternate entrances. Nor are they exactly conducive of alternate exits. Once they were inside, they could take some of the others with them inside. Possibly hostages. Then they would be at a stand still. Neither side could do much until the other gave in. They would have the advantage, being able to gain access to resources.

But that could be more dangerous. If they were left inside, they would be able to lock the vault and prevent anyone from getting in normally. They might have another villain stationed to help them escape through a ventilation unit. If they had anyone like Amaris, that wouldn't be too difficult. No, the best option would be to stop them before they enter the vault.

"There's no doubt they know we're close. Is there any way into the room they're in? Perhaps we could try and negotiate up front while someone sneaks around from behind?"

"That's why I yelled, I could smell them..we could try talking or I could use my flashbangs and we rush in, they said they weren't that dangerous but.. Yeah I think they have hostages." She adds in, for now they had to ponder what to do, if it was talking Ayame might not be the best choice, she was armed even if with a training weapon and cupie was as well.

"So, do we storm it or try talking?"

~~~
With that the decision seemed to be made for them as a field of black smoke envelopes the trio, trading places with the hostages on the outside.
"Oh the heroes are here, late for tea time so it's for us to entertain?" Asks a woman in a mask as another is busy with a DJ stand seemingly blasting a vault with sound waves to force it open.
"I ain't going back to prison! Well not like we could deal with the hostages and them too, your quirk and it's demand of player limits heh."
With that the other girl stops her task taking the time to look at the other three now in front of them.
Cupie tried to look through the smoke, searching for the bodies of the villains through the darkness. She picked up Yosuke's and Ayame's, and soon, the two villains popped up in her sights. Her hands gripped her guns, both pointing at the sisters with her mask watching carefully for movements.
She was trying to think of a plan, but with her quirk, it could be the difference between catching the villains or incapacitating her comrades.
"Got a plan, Ayame?" She asked the other girl quietly.
Yosuke, covered his mouth as the smoke flowed through the room. "Shit. They already know we're here.". He heard the girls talk over them, the mention of not wanting to go to jail and the need of a player limit.
"Hearting the crew couldn't be bad if we're prepared right?" Yosuke asked. "I mean I know hearting hostages, even by accident, seems a little off after I chewed you out for the other day."
He popped off one of his casings trying to get a feel of where they were through movement. He was able to find Cupie as she looked for them, pulling up behind her in a back to back formation.
"Hey there. We can keep us two out of range at least"
Just as suddenly the Music player drops a beat so to speak, the sound waves pounding at and pushing back the smoke so she can see, while her twin sister draws a deck of cards. Ayame did not much like this as the other two make for cover and ask for directions. Studying the group it would be difficult if they didn't act quickly then they very well might fail. Loading her SMG she nods, spouting out a plan quickly.
"Okay! Cupie, Yosuke, I want you all to focus on the sound girl, between your quirks it may be possible to trick her into attacking the game girl. For now I'm going to pour all my rounds on her so we don't see what her quirk can do, we can't do anything about the hostages till they are down.." With that she jumps back into view and rapidly empties the first mag as the other shields herself with cards, the sound user turning her focus to plaster the Red Panda girl to the wall.
Focus on the sounds. Seemed simple enough. Yosuke gave Cupie next to him a little nod of agreement and rushed into the smoke, popping off his casings and wetting his fingers. The sound was helpful. He knew her general location very easily, but he needed more detail.
There was a tiny bit of movement, to his left in about 10 feet. He rushed towards the location with reckless abandon, ready to strike at what he believed to be the girl with soundwave manipulation.
Cupie nodded once in agreement and made a mad dash to follow the body Yosuke was going after. Using her heart platforms, she made stairs for herself and ran above the cloud with her legs still in the smoke to conceal herself a bit. If Yosuke could find her, then there was a chance Cupie could shoot her and make her fall in love with him.
As the trio set about working the game maker is too busy shielding herself to do much else. As Cupie and Yosuke spring into action the sound mixing girl suddenly switches her beat to draw Yosuke in closer. "Well now..aren't you a handsome feller..how bout we blast this joint, eh?" She says, batting her eyelashes at him as a result of Cupies interference.
At first Yosuke was caught off guard by the sudden complement from her adversary. It seemed that Cupie had struck her. He was quick to cover his mouth. Just as a precaution. Wouldn't want to fall in love with a villain now would he? "Thanks, I'm inclined to agree. So then, why don't you calm down for a moment? Think this through a bit." He took this time to approach her slowly. If he was gonna subdue her, he had the perfect chance. But this felt like cheating.
Heh, she'd gotten the bull's eye and it seemed the sound girl was trying to give Yosuke more than just the horn. Excellent. Hopefully Yosuke would be able to keep her busy long enough for them to take down her accomplice. Or long enough that they can knock her out, whichever was more helpful.
Now where the hell was the accomplice?
Still trading fire with Ayame, the other girl throws a wide spread of cards and knives, seemingly formed from some sort of energy as she looks on, disappointed in her sister slightly. Ayame for her part dodges the attack and hides back in the shadow of the hallway, looking back it seemed the other was still interested in Yosuke for now, that left the last problem, though it was likely Cupie would find herself short of cover.
Cupie moved as quickly as her legs could carry her. She summoned her own heart shield to block out the cards and knives. If it broke, then it would be more of a threat to the villain than it would her teammates.
She peeked out from her heart cover, firing shots at the card and knives villain.
With Cupie's assistance Ayame leaps across the divide, shock baton in hand as she hurriedly attacks the elder sister, smashing her in the side and discharging her electricity. That left the one currently fawning over Yosuke. However long cupie's cheat had left to work.
"Well then, how 'bout you come over to me." Yosuke grabbed her hand quickly with confidence and charm, quickly spinning her into himself as if they were dancing and dipping her. However, as she was dipped downwards, he pressed his knuckle against the base of her neck, hitting a pressure point to knock her out for the time being. Would rather not just paralyze her, that would just be cruel, even if these feelings of love were only temporary.
"Alright she's out too. Someone take their gear away and tie them up."
"Well well, shit, good job Kiddos!"
A voice calls from behind as Grimmjaw smirks, Running vector came in right behind with her cuffs in hand. "Just hope this time the prison holds them." She says with a sigh.
"When we get back we'll do some intensive training with you all, just hope you aren't worn out already." The man says with a wicked grin as Ayame sighs making a whining sound.
"Aww do we have to?"
Eisuke's Not So Sexy Field Study
(This was broken up into three parts because holy shit 29 pages)
As Eisuke stepped down, Masaru couldn't help but glance at Ichirou. Electros was his uncle, right? He hadn't really spoken with the number one, but Masaru couldn't help but wonder if all or most of the men in Ichirou's family were eccentric in some way.
Masaru was taken aback by the sudden advice on his hair, or the call out. I mean, he had, but he didn't tell anyone about it, and thus far no one seemed to comment thankfully.
"T-Thanks…"
Thankfully, as Electros made his introduction to the field study, no runways would be involved. However, as the man brought up the tournament fights, Masaru's scowl couldn't help but intensify slightly. He couldn't help but feel every important fight that came he had lost, and then there was the added embarrassment of the nature of his loss. His frown grew as Eisuke spoke, an unspoken confirmation that the man was correct in his rhetorical question.
Masaru watched with wariness as the environment lit up with electricity.
"So we're just having a battle royale while trying not to get hit?" Masaru glanced at the other two. Ichirou was also a powerhouse but with the opposing element, so there was no doubt he would have trouble. Shunsuke though had a fairly focused quirk. Masaru, on the other hand, didn't feel like getting electrocuted again.
Shunsuke looked away as Electros continued. Though there was a certain air of intrigue to the man's eccentricity, he couldn't help but dweel on his shortcomings following the License Exam. Still, he managed a smile, small though it was. Pounding his right fist into the palm of his hand, he took note of what the Pro Hero said. The man certainly had flare, not to mention his skillful use of his quirk,
In truth, this was one of the best case scenarios. Shunsuke would have been lying if he said he didn't want to fight his opponents. Ichirou and Masaru both seemed powerful, performance at the Sports Festival aside. He bounced in place a bit.
"Heh, I can't say I'm not a little excited about the prospect of a good throwdown," he admitted as he looked from one opponent to the other. Shunsuke stopped moving for a moment, head cocking in slight confusion as he surveyed the man and his two classmates. "Huh..." He'd never really noticed just how much alike the two looked. Standing her, he seemed to be the ood one out. It was like he was an intruder on a family reunion. Regardless, he had to strategize. He had to be ready for whatever the two might throw at him. This was different from a simple training session. Different from a 2v1 match too. Bother could be a friend or foe at any given time.
But then again, maybe he could use the environment to help him. Electro mode might... No... It was a little too risky. But a good fall back. Shunsuke chuckled and took a step back, making sure nothing was behind him before getting into a fighting stance. "Best not to waste time right? We doin this?"
Eisuke grinned at their enthusiasm. "You're to fight each other, but if you hit any of the equipment, you're gonna get punished. Think of them as civilians crowding to witness the battle."
He reached into his pocket and activated something; A piece of wire that he had set up beforehand. The wire was connected to all of the machinery within the entire floor; small and large. With one small and constant dose of his electricity, each machine sparked and flared with white lightning, making the entirety of the area a minefield.
Ichirou gulped hearing the loud crackling of lightning all around him. Just like that, everything was now a threat to him and his classmates. He knew what his uncle was trying to teach them, but did it have to be so menacing?
Masaru and Shunsuke were both ready, and Ichirou was too.
"Let's do this then!" Ichirou got into his fight stance, his blue fire flaring.
He decided to start with quick movements, shooting streams of fire at both opponents through his palms.
Masaru was quick to react, erupting a pillar of ice just wide and tall enough to protect him from the flames. As the heat contacted the ice, steam covered the area around Masaru, shrouding him before a pillar erected underneath him, escalating him to a greater height than the others and with an oversight on the battleground.
Since he couldn't go too crazy with his power, Masaru opted for creating a trio of swords for each of his opponents. Three curved around and aimed at Ichirou while the other three went for Shunsuke. However, as the blades neared their supposed targets, they instead zoomed passed, aiming for the opposite. Perhaps this would force them to fire upon each other unintentionally.
Shunsuke had been prepared to fight even without the dangerous terrain, but he'd assumed it'd be against villains. Still, he wouldn't miss this opportunity either. Hardening his body he glared at Ichirou as a stream of flames came his way. "Tch-" He sucked his teeth. The boy's flames were certainly a little hotter than Shunsuke anticipated. "That's the number one hero's kid for ya," he mumbling almost inaudibly under his breath as he ran towards Masaru.
Quickwitted as Shunsuke would have expected it, Masaru managed to create a fog with a clash of firce and ice and then set himself up over the battlefield. "Nice strategy~" Shunsuke mused as three swords came his way only to redirect towards Ichirou, a second trio of blades doing the same in reverse. Shunsuke picked up the pace of his evasion until he managed to find himself behind the pillar Masaru has erected.
He worried that the blade might begin to freeze him, remembering Masaru and his first training session. Had he perfected that skill yet? Shunsuke shook his head. Hopefully using the pillar as cover would force Ichirou to burn through it. Shunsuke was at a disadvantage against either of them in terms of range, but he wasn't out of the fight. He sharpened his hands, almost like blades.
"Hope you don't mind Masaru! I prefer to keep things up close and personal!" He said as he began smashing his blade like hands into the base of the pillar, his body still hot from Ichirou's initial attack. That heat might help him out a bit in the long run. If he could make it crumble, he could bring Masaru to him. If he couldn't, he might scare masaru into having to move. He'd just have to watch out for Ichirou.
Ichirou quickly dodged out of the way of the trio of swords coming his direction, firing them down with his flames to melt them into water. This moment allowed him to think of a plan, something that would allow him to hit two in one.
As the two were distracted with each other, Ichirou threw one of his fireballs and warped himself passed the pillar, then threw another fireball to appear behind Masaru.
His objective was to kick Masaru through the pillar.
"Yeah, and I'd rather avoid that," Masaru replied to Shun. Masaru could do a better job of freezing Shun if he was up close, however it was also easier for Masaru to take hits in that case.
As the blades that followed Shun tracked him to the pillar, they didn't stop. Crashing into the pillar, part of its base on the opposite side was chipped away, causing it to begin to fall. As Ichirou warped to him, Masaru pushed off the pillar to fall backwards, stopping the column in its movement and swinging it back upwards to smack Ichirou.
Masaru created another column from the ground as he fell for something to land on.
Damn those bastards could move. Shunsuke groaned as the pillar began to crumble. Suddenly Ichirou was in the air and the portion of the pillar that had been brought down had been pulled by Masaru to be used against the son of the number 1 hero. Shunsuke grit his teeth.
"Then I guess I'll have to make fighting from far out a little harder then!" He said as he took a deep breath. Shun considered himself lucky. Had Masaru not evaded or countered Ichirou, he might have found himself in a bit of trouble. But as it stood, that had left him with very little to deal with. Free to attack for the moment without worrying about defense.
With the swords no longer a worry he hoped back onto the base of the now destroyed initial pillar. He took a stance and grinned punching forward with incredible force, sending large bullet like gusts of wind at the two boys who were still above him: one toward Ichirou and two toward Masaru.
Fortunately for Ichirou, perhaps unfortunately for Masaru, if the air bullet hit him, it'd likely knock him out of the way of the pillar. It'd likely do less damage too. Masaru, on the other hand, given his current predicament might find it hard to evade both of the pockets.
Ichirou quickly weighed the consequences of either option and decided to let Shunsuke's air bullet hit so he would be knocked out of the way of the pillar.
He had an idea; one that may help Shunsuke too, or screw him over. Ichirou wasn't sure.
He just needed to get closer.
Ichirou used this opportunity to throw out more fireballs, setting up four spots of teleportation that he knew would not be present long. He only needed the one that landed closest to Shunsuke, with the other three working as escape routes or distractions.
He would use the fireball to warp close to Shunsuke, grabbing one of the other boy's ankles.
"Wha?!" was all that came from Shunsuke as he was suddenly being flung around like a weapon.
Ichirou used the other boy's body to completely destroy the pillar, shattering the ice into chunks and pieces that scattered across the floor. Then again, he moved closer to not give Masaru any breathing room, ready to swing Shunsuke again.
Masaru's eyes widened a bit as Shunsuke shot a long-range attack at him. The fact the boy could fight at a range now was a bit of a pain, but the martial artist's venues were still quite limited comparatively.
Masaru quickly raised a thinner wall to intercept the bullet, shielding him from damage but shattering the barrier with ease. The ice user couldn't make it thicker or stronger if he wanted to defend against the blast in time.
Huffing with an icy breath, Masaru watched as Ichirou spread his flames to increase his mobility. The swordsman thought he would take it upon himself closing down those avenues of attack. A group of four blades formed around Masaru, spinning in an orbit around him before shooting off to go freeze the flames. However, as he did that, one flame was quickly used up by Ichirou.
Masaru watched as his opponent used Shun as a bat and smashed the freefalling pillar in the air before charging. Masaru's eyes widened a bit. That seemed like more of a tactic Kanna would use.
"You're gonna use him as a battering ram?! What the hell!?" Masaru exclaimed before hopping off the current pillar and raising it further. It wouldn't do much, but it was a barrier and distraction for the moment. For good measure, Masaru arose a couple more pillars, then created orbs of ice in each hand, ready to use the frost grenades whenever Ichirou breached passed his wall.
So that was Ichirou's game huh? To use him like a battering ram? Well Shunsuke couldn't say he minded in particular. Besides, this might turn out a good deal for him. He grinned putting his arms up to defend his face, hardening his body a bit farther. "You know, if you were gonna man handle me like this, you could have bought me dinner first," he said with a small laugh. Maybe he'd been hanging out with Cupie too much. Either way, he had a small plan of his own brewing. But first, he'd need to see where this went.
Ichirou grinned, "Save that line for Cupie, hm?" He said to Shunsuke and readied the other boy to be swung again.
Masaru was creating his defenses, it being multiple pillars that he was probably expecting Ichirou to burst through. For a moment, he considered doing just that. But that was too predictable. Masaru might have something ready for him if he used Shunsuke to burst through everything. So, Ichirou decided he'd better do it the other way and go around.
He dashed forward, moving fast around the pillars to try to catch Masaru by surprise. In his hands were some kind of orbs. So Ichirou was right! He wound back his arm then threw Shunsuke at Masaru. Whether he hit or not, Ichirou was taking the opportunity to smash the pillars to create projectiles for him to throw.
Of course Ichirou wouldn't do the most obvious thing. Instead the boy came around, and rather than try to hit him, he threw Shunsuke to keep at a distance. Masaru clicked his tongue in annoyance, though it seemed that Ichirou had forgotten he could freely control his ice; there wasn't a need for him to necessarily aim physically.
As Shunsuke collided with Masaru, the orbs were thrown around the projectile, curving and flying at Ichirou at different angles. If they hit, the orbs would expand to a greater degree than his swords, hopefully trapping him in enough ice. Even if it didn't, Ichirou was apparently creating debris and shrapnel for Masaru to use, so he felt it suitable to turn the focus to Shun.
Rolling from the impact, Shunsuke's hardened skin made the collision a bit more painful, though Masaru still recovered from the tumble and pushed up to get back to his feet, quickly entering a ready stance with an icy blade in hand.
"Wha?! How do you-" Before he could say anything more Shunsuke was flying through the air. A bit shocked by Ichirou's retort, he hadn't even deactivated his quirk. Still, he hoped Masaru was okay. Shun hadn't been expected that comment from the boy. It was too specific. Shunsuke shook his head as he hopped up to his feet. "M-my relationship, or... lack thereof... with Cupie, is neither here or there..." Geez... No point in hiding it. But was he... that obvious? Ah whatever. He had to focus on the task at hand.
Focusing back on Masaru, Shunsuke sigh, smirking as he got his head back in the game. "Heh, you've gotten a lot better with those ice swords I see." Shunsuke said with a small grin. "But, have you been practicing your swordsmanship?" He grinned his arms each seeming to sharpen like blades. The boy wasn't much of a swordsman himself, but he was curious about what would happen if he and Masaru went toe to toe. "Since Ichi is a little busy, I hope you don't mind me coming at you bud," he said before rushing at Masaru, swinging with his right and left simultaneously in a downward diagonal cross slash.
"You're not too hurt to continue right?" he asked with a grin, referencing the little collision.
Ichirou's arm had been hit by one of Masaru's grenades, which froze it and forced him to flare up his arm to melt away the ice. Now, with Masaru and Shunsuke both distracted he needed to come up with a new plan.
His uncle's electricity was all over the machines, and if he melted all of the ice here to create a pool then there was a good chance of hitting more than he bargained for. Throwing the machines at Shun and Masaru was out of the question as well. So he'd have to try and do a two for one and try to knock them both down while they were at it.
Or, he could wait it out and see how far the two went before inevitably trying to fight him.
He decided he would slow his roll a little and keep an eye on both Masaru and Shunsuke to study how they fought just a bit more. While he had a pretty good idea of Masaru's fighting style thanks to his time with him at the mountains, Shunsuke was still fairly new to him. All he had to do was be weary of their attacks and the possibility of them teaming up.
"Just because I'd prefer to keep you at a distance doesn't mean I can't take you up close," Masaru replied. He raised a brow at the mention of Cupie, but he couldn't let himself get distracted.
He figured Shun wouldn't waste time and start throwing punches. Masaru angled his left foot forward so that it was parallel with Shun's body, frosting the ground in front of him to weaken the boy's footing. Then, he pushed off his foot, stepping back to evade Shun's attack before hopping forward followed by a downward slash of his own with the blade.
"We'll see about that," Shunsuke said as Masaru froze the ground and avoided his attack. The ice boy was crafty. Shun moved his arm to block Masaru's attack, but found himself slipping forward. "Ah… Ice is pretty dangerous man…" He grumbled as he put up his other arm, to help him, since he wasn't stable enough to block with one. "You're not much the type to enjoy a little brawl, huh?" Was now the time to be social? Well… Might as well. It wasn't like they were actually enemies right. Plus, you could learn the most about a person by trading blows with them. That was what his dad had always said.
"I don't really fight because I want to," Masaru replied simply. As the blade crashed against Shun's arms, he would find that the intent wasn't to cut through his guard. Rather, the blade crashed against his skins and seemed to cover a small area of contact with frost.
Masaru's blades could freeze what they touched, but they didn't have the same expansion as the orbs he threw at Ichirou. Still, Masaru didn't have to cut or beat his opponent with them, all he had to do was land enough clean blows to slow his opponent to a crawl.
Stepping back once more, Masaru extended his arm out as another blade took form to replace the shattered one.
"So what's that about Cupie?" Masaru inquired, pausing a moment before stepping forward with blade ready. Feinting a thrust forward, Masaru spun on the ice, moving to Shun's side and lowering himself slightly to aim a slash at his hip.
Shunsuke winced as he felt the surface of his arm begin to freeze. "Shit... You really have gotten better at that, huh?" he asked softly with a groan. Still, he couldn't argue that Masar was good. He grinned. Stomping his feet down, the ice crunched under Shunsuke, allowing him to steady his stance. "I..." he began to speak, but stopped immediately.
W-what was the deal with bringing up Cupie today?! "Y-you too?" Shunsuke's cheeks began to heat up, glowing a deep shade of red. "I-is now really the t-t-time to be bringing that stuff up?" he asked losing focus for a moment. "Gah-!" He winced as the sword smashed against his hip. "That hurt," he said as he quickly grabbed Masaru's wrist before the boy could pull it back. Shun squeezed it, not too tight.
He wasn't trying to hurt the guy really. He pulled Masaru toward him and attempted to turn and pull him into a headlock. "W-w-w-why did you ask anyway?" Was he stuttering now because he was flustered, or was the ice getting to him?
Masaru said nothing to the compliment, focused on the fight in front of him. As the blade struck his hip, it shattered, frosting a portion of Shun's hip. However, he was quick to react and now Masaru was pulled into a headlock. Masaru growled a bit, grasping at the other boy's arms. At the question, he winced a bit.
"Ichirou muttered something and you seemed to get distracted. Why are you getting all red in the face?" Masaru inquired, still maintaining a serious perception of the situation. Perhaps Shun would think that this was just a distraction; something similar to what Charlotte did. However, there was more to his curiosity than a strategy.
Masaru stomped his foot on the ground, causing the ground under Shun to rumble. It seemed Masaru had erected a pillar under the boy hoping that it would slip him out of the headlock.
"Wha-? I'm not..." Shunsuke shook his head, almost like he was trying to shake away the blush taking over his face. "I just, ya know... Kinda..." Shunsuke felt himself lift. Letting go of Masaru he jumped back to avoid losing his footing. His toes dug into the icy ground, but that wasn't it.
"Gah!" he shouted as he felt the electrical sting of one of the hanging chains. "Grrr... You sly dog... You got me monologuing..." he bit his lip, shaking himself off. "Dammit..." Why was he even letting that stuff get to him.
Masaru turned to face Shun, a sword materializing in his hand once again. The pillar the stood in front of Shun separated from the ground and was thrown towards Ichirou; Masaru hadn't forgotten about him. He stared at Shun with the scowl that was usually on his face, though it seemed a bit more serious than usual.
"You kind of what, Shun?"
Steadying himself, Shun couldn't help but take note of Masaru's scowl. He chuckled a bit, his blush lightening to a dull pink. His gaze became more serious in response. "That's a scary look you've got there, Snowball," he said as he took a deep breath. This seemed a bit more serious than Ichirou's one off joke.
Sighing, the purple haired boy shook his head. "Look... If you're looking for honesty. I guess the truth is... I-"
Before Shunsuke could answer the question, Eisuke caught something in the corner of his eye. Something amiss, and in a split second, that something was suddenly aiming to squash all three of the students. His reflexes kicked in, and thanks to already having his quirk active for this little exercise, Eisuke was gone in a flash.
First Shunsuke was gone, then Masaru, and finally Ichirou. The trio would find themselves tossed out of the way from one of the slaughterhouse's largest machines colliding right on top of where the three students had just been standing. The destruction itself caused an explosion of ice, rubble, and dust to shoot all over the premises.
'That fell way faster than it should have…' Eisuke made a mental note of it, holding his arm in front of his face to shield it from the debris.
And then, his eyes caught an all too familiar figure. One he fought a few years back.
Eito Kodaira watched from the catwalk below, the spot having given him a great advantage in altering the gravity of many of the equipment present to him. He was incredibly tall, with long, dark unkempt hair, red eyes, and pale skin almost sickly in color. His physique was strong, and there was something else that Ichirou noticed.
'He doesn't look much older than Masaru, Shun, and I.'
Eisuke quickly grabbed hold of the countertop behind him, "Hang onto something. This man is dangerous and will kill you if you give him that chance." He warned the three boys.
He didn't understand how this murderer was able to find him, but Eito was here now, and Eisuke needed to ensure not just his own safety, but the safety of the students near him.
"W-what the hell was that?" Shunsuke asked, a little dazed. Whatever was going on, it seemed Masaru's interrogation would have to wait.
From the rafters came a laugh. "Now, that was what you would call, a close one. Wouldn't you say so, Mr. Number 2 Hero?" came the voice of the individual as he dropped down from the rafters and onto the catwalk. "Geez Gravi-boy you almost killed 'em before I could even have any fun. That would have made for a boring mission, man~" Hopping up onto the railing of the catwalk was a young man who would likely only be recognized by Ichirou. That is, if he recognized him.
"Heyoooooo~" He grinned, looking down at the three amateurs and the pro, perched calmly on the rail. "I hope you guys don't mind us dropping in."
Eisuke glared at the two villains, keeping his senses keen for any noises or weight shifts on the building. Eito would find any means to kill them, from toppling the building to just throwing them against the wall. Damn it! He would have to call for reinforcements if things got too bad. The last time he fought Eito, he had Chitose's teleportation on his side. Not to mention her quirk negated Eito's. While he did have Ichirou, he wasn't sure if Ichirou's abilities would work while he was holding onto someone. That was something that had yet to be tested…
"Boys." Eisuke spoke quietly to the heroes in training. "The long haired one controls gravity. Masaru, Ichirou, you two try to control where you go and do not lose track of your body's whereabouts. Keep yourself on the ground, avoid his eyesight, and avoid his touch. Shunsuke, stick by me. I'm gonna need you as my shield."
Ichirou looked, and seeing the face of the wolf boy he received flashbacks to his trip to the mall. The boy- He!
"So you're the guy from the mall." Ichirou spoke back to Kuro.
Eisuke stole a glance at Ichirou. Ichirou knew them? His eyes returned to the villains. "What do you want?"
First, they were in a fight, and suddenly Masaru found himself tossed to the side again. As he brought himself to his feet and took in the current situation, Masaru scowled up at the man on the catwalk. Villains again?
"I'm getting really tired of these bastards showing up every month," Masaru said with a scowl before glancing to Ichirou. The gravity man wasn't alone, and when the wolf boy dropped in, Ichirou seemed to know him. "You know the furball?"
"We met him, his sister, and his girlfriend at the mall. Some shenanigans with Cupie's quirk, more details later." Ichirou responded quickly.
"Seriously… what the hell's their obsession with the school and students?" Masaru growled as he formed a few icy blades around him, aimed at Kuro. They knew what the gravity man could do, but the wolf was a new one. Better to leave Electros to deal with the one he was familiar with and keep the new one from helping.
In the end, Kuro had solidified his decision. THe best bet was to keep himself useful. That was the way to make sure he, Fenri, and Dani could stay safe. To make sure he could protect them. But still. He would have been lying if he'd said he wasn't going to enjoy this at least a little bit. "The guy from the mall~? How impersonal, Ichi. I'd like to think I'm a little more important than that," he said with a small laugh as he stood up and stepped foward, letting himself drop down. He landed crouched.
"Ah~ Is this was they call a superhero landing? I guess it isn't really fitting for me." He licked his lips and stretched out his limbs. "And she isn't my girlfriend. I can't say I'd mind if Mimi was though. She's such a sweet girl. Not messaging her was really tough. I'll make sure she stays safe when we bring down this poor excuse of a society," he added seeming both sarcastic and yet somehow sincere all at once.
"All I'm getting out of this... Is that we seriously can't have one peaceful week without something like this happening..." Shunsuke said with a soft groan. Granted, this was the week they'd have expected to run into villains, this wasn't how or when he was expecting it.
Still, it was relieving to think that Eisuke had already come up with a plan. "I guess that means you two get to hold off the wolf," he whispered to Ichirou and Masaru.
"Yeah boys," Kuro chimed in. "Come 'hold me off'," he said, gesturing to Masaru and Ichirou to come at him, taunting them.
"Great, you're one of those," Masaru said in a sigh. There was another one too, wasn't there? The girl that gave up during the fight after the dance; talking about fake heroes and real heroes and a society that needed to be torn down. It was a bunch of bullshit.
Nodding to Electros, the blades around Masaru took aim and fired off in a minor delay. A couple curved at slight angles while one dived right down the middle, all the while Masaru began forming a few more towards the roof of the ceiling and hopefully out of the perception of Kuro.
"The main problem with this society are people like you. Give it a rest already!"
Eito, while Kuro went about harassing the students, silently mapped out the slaughterhouse. Many machines and equipment at his disposal, many of which could easily destroy their bodies. He hoped when he finally got to kill Electros that the Hero's blood would paint the walls…
Oh, the battle has begun.
Eito's eyes glared, keeping his focus on his two opponents as he quickly leapt off the catwalk onto the machines to get to work on his lovely destruction. Eisuke quickly grabbed Shunsuke and darted off, dragging the boy out of Eito's sight as machines, just as quickly as they were lifted, slammed back onto the ground to try and pin the two.
"How many hits can you take?" Eisuke quickly asked Shunsuke as he tried to find a place for them to get the advantage.
Ichirou's fire flared and his strength massively increased. The pain of his quirk was now present, making the silver haired boy grit his teeth as he tried to focus. He grabbed the nearest piece of machinery, and with Masaru's quirk to distract Kuro, Ichirou threw the large piece of metal at the wolf. That case, if Ichirou missed, then Masaru's blades would be able to come in for a surprise attack.
Kuro shook his head. "You don't know a thing about me bud. Don't get me wrong, real heroes, fake heroes... I don't give a damn about all of that." He cracked his knuckles and wound up. He launched Multiple fire balls, the fire black in color. As they collided with the incoming swords, a small burst of steam flew out. "The bigger problem is worshipping a number 1 hero who left his children and their mother to die," he explain as he charged forward.
Emerging from the steam, Kuro came flying at Ichirou and Masaru with inhuman speed. He smirked, cool as a cucumber, jumping into the air. "Nice try their bro," he said with a hint of excitement in his voice. "But not good enough dumbfucks!" Pressing his hands down on the machine flying his way, he turned himself gripping it tightly and flipping to use it's momentum to send it flying back down toward Masaru and Ichirou.
Shunsuke was just along for the ride at this point. He had to follow the pro's lead. Under normal circumstances he might have just had a bit of fun kicking some ass. But this was serious. He couldn't let himself forget what really mattered. "I can take as many hits as I need to to help take this guy down," he replied quickly. "Just leave it to me Electros, sir!" Shunsuke just hoped that Masaru and Ichirou would be alright. "Should I attack? Draw his attention?"
"I know enough," Masaru retorted simply. He wasn't sure what the hell the villain was talking about, but it had to be bullshit.
Masaru had half a mind to shove them both out of the way, but then he remembered what Electros had said. Even if the other villain was kept busy, they had to be careful about what they did. Clicking his tongue, Masaru stomped his foot and summoned a few spikes from the ground angled towards the machine to stop it. The blades hidden up top would remain until he saw an opening. For now he summoned a set of five around him, send three over the top of he machine to try to flush the villain out from behind it.
Eisuke frowned, getting a read on the situation in the second that he thought about it. What he caught and couldn't help but wonder if he heard it correctly was the wolf boy talking about Kaz the way he did. What the hell was he talking about? He shook the thought though; he needed to concentrate or everyone's lives here were in jeopardy.
"Neither, if possible." He answered Shun. "Two top tenners almost didn't beat him. I can't put you through too much."
Quirk or not, Eisuke was certain there was a limit to how much Shunsuke could take before Eito broke something. Hand to hand combat was incredibly risky, staying in Eito's sight for too long would ensure getting trapped, and they were on a time limit of how much Ichirou and Masaru could take before the dog turned his fangs on them. Shit shit shit!
Eisuke grabbed Shun's wrist. "When we get there, you and I are going to get up close and personal with him. I'm going to see if I can taze him unconscious; attack him where you see an opening. If he lands a hit on you, tell me."
With that, both Shunsuke and Eisuke were gone in a flash of lightning. At high speeds, the duo would be right in front of Eito, who didn't even flinch at the sudden arrival of his enemies. Eisuke let go of Shun, his lightning crackling on and around his hands as he wasted no time attacking.
With each attack Eisuke threw at him, Eito seemed to dance around it with reflexes and grace never seen in legal fighting grounds. Eito knocked Electros's hands away by the wrists, with Eisuke barely dodging Eito's hits in turn. The villain was scarily fast and accurate; nothing Shunsuke would have seen thus far.
Ichirou's eyes widened and moved out of the way with Masaru. The fire, the strength, and then to top it all off the guy went on about the number one hero leaving the mother of his children and said children to die. For all he knew, his father had never left anyone to die. His own mother would have divorced him immediately if dad had left her and his family for dead…
"What the hell are you talking about?!" Ichirou questioned him. "Dad never left anyone to die!"
His fire burned bright and he clenched his jaw to control his anger. He had no idea what this guy was talking about, but it was clear that Kuro had some sort of vendetta against his father.
With his own blue flames, Ichirou shot streams of it at the wolf, keeping a close eye on Kuro's movements to anticipate the next action.
Just like that, Shunsuke was in the heat of battle, pulled along at lightning speed to get up close and personal with Eito. He swallowed hard. He thoguht he'd gotten a good idea of the scale of power he'd need to reach after battling Kiyoshi with Isamu and Charlotte. Hell, it took the three of them to win a fight. But right now, he was having trouble just trying to follow their movements.
His eyes darted around. Eito moved well. Under other circumstances, he may have been impressed. No... He was impressed. It was a shame that the man was a villain. There was a lot Shunsuke could learn from him in addtion to Electros. He'd just have to learn by down. He was started to get used to this high speed combat after all. Even if just a bit. "I've got your back sir," Shun said as he took a deep breath. He just needed to face this head on like Masaru and Ichirou were going to.
WIthout another word, Shunsuke managed, just barely, to wedge himself in between the pro hero and the villain. He was the shield after all. But Shun wasn't content to just take up space. He stepped in, throwing a punch with his left, followed by a kick with his right, and another punch, this time with his right. He wasn't sure he could land any kind of significant blow, but it might create an opening for Eisuke.
"Enough?" Kuro laughed as he landed on the machine. Masaru had stopped its descent and Ichirou had the smarts to get them out of the way as Kuro quickly managed to slam the thing hard down with a well placed stomp. "You seem to think that you've got it all figured out. Now would you call that being strong-willed, stubborn, or willfully ignorant. Huh, Ice Queen?" he asked as he casually strolled off of the machine, walked toward the two.
"Ohhh~ Are you getting a little upset, lil Ichi? Is it because we stopped the fun before you got another chance to bury your friend's face down below?" He laughed a little before giving a mock gasp. "Or have the two of you deepened your relationship?" Kuro stopped walking for a moment, standing in Ichirou's flames. They burned sure, but maybe he was holding back. Afraid to really hurt or kill the enemy. Even Kuro's resistance wouldn't hold up if Ichirou went all out. Probably.
Still, the wolf boy lifted his hand, beginning to combat Ichirou's blue flames with his own black flames. His tailed swayed side to side, though not happily. More so to attract the eye to it's presence. "Alright alright. I'll stop teasing. You deserve some answers." Kuro's face grew more serious. He growled, strengthening his flames to push back Ichirou's. "It was what? 17 or so years ago? Maybe a year before you were born."
"There was an attack. Kazuo Mizushima. Better known as Nova Master." Kuro rolled his eyes. "Young upstart hero loses wife and kids following villain attack." He recited it as though reading a newspaper headline. "You can look that up. It wasn't like it was particularly a secret. Well, they details of the event were. Only a select few know. Hell, you can even ask your dear uncle Eisuke over there. I'd do it fast though. Pretty sure Gravitoss over there, or whatever he's decided to call himself, is out for blood," he said wondering how the boy, or boys, would react.
Shunsuke heard, but he had to focus on the battle in front of him. Still... "Sir, what's that guy talking about?" he asked a bit confused by the conversation Kuro seemed to be having with his classmates.
Meanwhile, Kuro glanced in Eisuke's direction for a moment. Would he react? Would Ichirou? The boy was already upset. Kuro figured they could put two and two together. But he was leaving out a crucial bit of information. A little game. That's what it seemed he was playing.
Masaru glanced over to Electros and Shun to check on them. They seemed to be holding their own for the moment, not much worse than Ichirou and himself were. As his attention turned back to the machine in front of him, Ichirou had moved the both of them just in time. Then began the monologue, though the basis of it caused even Masaru's eyes to widen.
He glanced over to Ichirou worriedly before the scowl returned and the ice user returned his gaze to the wolf. Even HE was in on that stupid joke. Masaru found the consistency of it annoying as is, but he definitely wasn't going to just let a villain run his mouth.
"Like I said, Furball, I know enough." Remaining steadfast in his earlier comment, a large phalanx of blades formed in a line in front of him. "You and the other guy are trying to hurt my friends, or worse… and considering the circumstances I don't think it's too much of a stretch to assume you're with the same assholes that keep messing with us. I don't give a crap about your feelings or any vendetta you have. I know everything I need to."
After speaking that, the phalanx split and shot forward to parallel Ichirou's flames before curving off and coming right back to bombard him from the sides. Depending on the wolf's next move, Masaru would bring in the swords from above or create something else.
Eisuke was trying to move quickly, but every punch, kick, or taze attempt was countered in ways he didn't even know was possible. Each strike, Eito met his attacks and struck back twice as fast, twice as hard. Electros very rarely had to deal with an opponent who could keep up with him, and even then the thrill of the challenge always sent a shiver down his spine. But here, with three young and promising students under his care against two powerful villains out for blood, it was impossible to even think about smiling.
Things would have been so much more different if he had Chitose on his side, or Allo, or Misoka, or even Kaz. He could have been enjoying the challenge. This fight would have been over much sooner. But here… Now… With the pressure of so many lives on his hands, including his own, the last thing Electros would be able to do was see this as a "challenge."
Shunsuke wedged his way between Eito and Eisuke, trying to fight too. Electros quickly saw what the younger man was doing and was quick to take advantage of the distraction provided.
Eisuke knew better than to underestimate Eito. He and Chitose, the "Perfect Storm" who fought perfectly together, could barely take him down. And that was only because of improvisation and Chitose being able to keep Eisuke from floating into space.
Speaking of floating.
Eito moved quickly to dodge Shunsuke's attack, and Eisuke used that split second opening to move in and try to taze him.
Then suddenly, Eito leaped into the air at zero gravity, and then…
"MOVE!" Eisuke quickly snatched Shunsuke and moved him out of the way.
Eito plummeted hard to the ground at 100x gravity, ripping through the catwalk and any nearby machinery easily. His body was completely fine, having been built to accommodate this sort of quirk.
The long haired man didn't wait and manipulated his gravity again. This time he took himself back onto the remains of the catwalk and… stayed there. He looked at Shunsuke and Eisuke, put his index finger to his lips, then spoke.
"Listen."
Only then did Eisuke hear what Kuro was saying. He could almost feel his heart drop to his stomach.
Ichirou's anger grew hearing Kuro's taunt about Masaru, "It's nothing like that, dammit! When will that shit joke die?"
He wanted answers now. It was obvious the wolf knew something and Ichirou wanted to hear it. No more taunts or games… Then he got it.
Hearing about his beloved father being accused of leaving behind his other family for dead 17 years ago was all Ichirou really needed before he was able to piece everything together. As quickly as Eisuke figured it out, Ichirou did as well.
The fact that Kuro's quirk was so much like Ichirou's. Kuro's appearance. Everything Kuro had spoken matched with bits of information Ichirou had heard in the past. Kuro's and Fenri's appearance also matched a late auntie who he had heard all about from his mother. The Hero Hellhound, the woman who was classmates with his parents and friends with Ichirou's dad since they were kids....
It all started piecing together, and in the end, something overcame Ichirou.
The will to fight was not entirely gone, but…
Ichirou's flames stopped for a moment. His hand went to his face and simply held it. A dark, creeping look on his face as the information made its way into his brain. What the Heroes would see was not the chipper, happy-to-help boy that did his damnedest to keep a smile on his face, but the overwhelming sense of despair that crossed him. A complete 180 of the Ichirou that they had grown accustomed to.
"You're my brother, aren't you."
Despite it being a question, the tone of Ichirou's voice made it sound more like a statement. "Infenri is my sister too, isn't she. Your mom, Akane. She's the one you're talking about, right? Who the hell else could it be."
Eisuke didn't know how to react, or what to say. He could only stare at Kuro blankly and in total awe. Hearing Ichirou, it not only grabbed his attention but it completely shattered his heart. He had never, in the last 16 years of Ichirou's life, heard the boy so… done with everything. There was hardly any emotion in his voice. It worried Eisuke.
Ichirou sighed and looked at Kuro. "What else is gonna be thrown at me, hm? Did my dad have another family? Is my mom not even my real mom? My cousins, my sisters, my uncle; you gonna tell me they're not my family too?"
He ran his hands through his hair, seeming almost ready to completely pull out every strand. His eyes looked to Eisuke. "Is it true? Is what Kuro saying the truth?"
Electros swallowed the lump in his throat. "Kaz… Kazuo wouldn't have left if he had known they were still alive." He spoke, "Kazuo was an emotional wreck the day he lost his first family, Ichirou. And Kuro… We all thought you were dead."
"Is that a lie too?" Ichirou snapped, "What other secrets have you and my parents been keeping? Don't you think I would have liked to know about the siblings I had?! Dead or alive, I have the damn right to know that I once had two older siblings! Your fucking nieces also have the right to learn about Kuro and Infenri! HOW MANY MORE FUCKING SECRETS ARE THERE?!"
Ichirou, for a moment, fell silent. He took a shaky breath before turning his gaze to Kuro. This time, there was a fire within them alongside the despair. The bottle had finally broken.
"Kuro… You're wrong." Ichirou started. "I don't know where you heard the idea that Dad up and left his first family to die, but it's wrong. Dad may have kept you secret, but Dad is not a fucking deserter. He would never, in his wildest dreams, have left someone to die."
His blue fire flourished into a roaring inferno all around him, his fists tight at his sides. "You may have lost part of your family, but that doesn't mean you can go and threaten mine. You can taunt and tease me all you fucking want, but you're wrong about Dad. I don't care if I win or lose this fight. I don't care if this shithole of a slaughterhouse becomes my grave. Hear my voice, Kuro. You. Are. Wrong.
Dad is a loving and supportive man. He's been with his family every step of the way, be it in person or in spirit… When you meet him, you'll see. You'll see your vendetta is all a pointless fucking goal. All this time put in your shitty revenge will be wasted. You're going to see just how wrong you are... Hmph, maybe I should thank you instead. Because none of you were in the picture, my Dad got to be with my mom to make the family he has now. The family he loves. Because neither of you were there to hold him back, Dad. got. to. be. happy."
Ichirou provoked Kuro further with each word. He wouldn't have done this otherwise, but…. He didn't know what to feel anymore. All he knew was regardless of what Kuro said, Ichirou loved his father dearly. He would do anything for his dad; even spit in the face of his long lost half-brother.
Kuro's eyes shot up. A clever little move from the ice user, but not unexpected. He hopped to the right, throwing small fire balls at each ice construct. "Yeah yeah, enough," he said, rolling his eyes as he mocked Masaru. Still he sighed. Boring. That was the best he could think of to describe the white haired ice queen. He opened his mouth to speak again, but something caught his ears. An unnatural silence, considering this was a fight, had swept through the warehouse.
Eito had rocked the foundation of the place with a powerful attack. Shunsuke's eyes were still wide, having been snatched from the jaws of danger once more. "W-wha?" He looked from Eito to Eisuke, and then Kuro. What the hell was going... "Oh no..." Shunsuke barely knew Ichirou, the Number two Hero, even Masaru. But it didn't take a close bond to see that none of this was good.
"Oh? Are you upset? It's just a joke. Ya know, if you were secure in your masculinity, it wouldn't matter would it?" The wolf couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. He'd expected a bigger reaction. Maybe he'd been a bit too vague? Or maybe the two really hated being the butt of a joke like that. Still, he didn't have to wait very long. "Wait... Waaaaaaiiiiit~" Kuro whispered to himself watching the gears turn in Ichirou's mind. Bit by bit he was putting the puzzle pieces together.
Shunsuke watched in relatively silence. Ichirou, the kid who rivaled Isamu in optimism, who strived to keep things light, seemed almost cold. He swallowed hard. This must have been hard on him.
Tapping his nose with the index finger of his left hand, pointing at Ichirou with his right, Kuro couldn't help but laughed a bit. "Ding ding ding~" he cheered before beginning to ring a mock bell with his hands. Ichriou seemed to be losing it. How unfair could life be for the boy? A wrench had been thrown into his world. Kuro almost felt bad watching him begin to break down. But still, their was more. His eyes shifted to Eisuke along with Ichirou's.
"An emotional wreck?" Shunsuke asked, his voice just barely above a whisper. It was hard to think of the number one hero like that.
Kuro chuckled once more. "I suppose that justifies it," he said softly. "He didn't wanna make sure his kids were dead, huh Electros? Or should I call you Uncle now? But no, you shouldn't be so mad at him Ichi. I mean, it wasn't his secret to tell. Besides-"
As Ichirou continued, Kuro's expression changed. Once more he grew serious. "I'm wrong? I'M WRONG?" He growled, opening his mouth to rebut Ichirou's words, but the boy kept talking. Kuro's hair cast a shadow over his eyes. He balled his hands into fists and clenched them tight, angrily gritting his teeth. Small tufts of flame began to pop from his body. His body was trembling, rage slowly beginning to boil over. "I see." His voice was low as he began to laugh softly. "Fenri and I... we would have just been in the way, huh?" Laughing a little more, Kuro lifted his head, his eyes settling on Ichirou.
"Ya know Ice Queen." Although he spoke to Masaru, his eyes never wandered from Ichirou. "When I was assigned this little mission, when I got here even, I could have given two fucks about hurting you. Any of you. You were all just a pawns. A means to an end. Just in the way. Gravitoss's little grudge has nothing to do with me, ya see." His eyes shifted to Masaru for a moment, and then to his hand. He's made himself bleed a bit. "I came because it was the order given. I was basically just extra muscle, here to stretch my legs." It wasn't long before his eyes found Ichirou again. "I figured I could mess with you a bit. Keep you busy, and maybe strike a blow to dear old dad in the process."
Kuro paused, taking a deep breath. He was either calming himself down, or steeling himself for whatever came next. "But after such a rousing speech from my cute little brother... I think I've changed my mind. I do want to hurt you. I want to hurt you guys bad." Without another word Kuro shot off from the floor like a rocket, a trail of flames left in his wake as he closed the gap between him and the two boys with incredible speed. Almost instantly he was their before the two. "I'd say not to take this too personally..." He aimed a powerful kicked to Masaru's gut, the aim to send him flying backward. "But honestly, I don't give a fuck about what you think or feel at this point." He'd follow this up with a flame fueled punch aimed at Ichirou's face.
Masaru eyed Ichirou as he went on his rant. That definitely wasn't good. Masaru could understand that none of this was easy for Ichirou, and the damn wolf being a complete smartass on top of a villain wasn't helping. Still, Ichirou hardly ever frowned, let alone got angry. People like that typically didn't control themselves well once their tops finally blew.
Seeing as his phalanx had been dealt with more or less, Masaru clicked his tongue. He couldn't just plaster the area with ice considering there were allies spread about. It seems he didn't need to though, considering the villain finally stopped, prefacing that now he wanted to hurt them.
"Color me surp-" Suddenly, the wind was knocked out of him. Masaru found his voice caught in his throat and his feet leave the ground. He fell back, tumbling and rolling before skidding to a halt on his side, one arm wrapped around his stomach. He looked over, struggling to summon a voice as the wolf turned his attention to Ichirou. "...t-then… so… am I…"
Forming a fist with his other hand, Masaru slammed it on the ground in front of him. It wouldn't do much for him, but the ground near Ichirou would begin to rumble and crack before it erupted with icy spikes similar to the one that halted the machinery. Even with the solid hit, he wasn't about to take his attention off the fight. Masaru had taken worse, and he wasn't going to let the villains do as they wished.
Pushing himself up, Masaru stood to his feet. He was longer range than the both of them. Eventually he could wear the wolf down, and if the bastard tried to get close again-Well, it was for that reason Masaru was frosting the ground around him. The wolf's choice would be testing Masaru on the ice or trying to burn it away and create a smokescreen followed by a bombardment from above.
Normally, Ichirou would have been concerned about Masaru receiving the hit meant for him, but at the moment… he couldn't find it in him to care. Underneath all of the emotions that clouded his mind, Ichirou was definitely concerned, but the effort to show it just wasn't there. His world had come crashing down before him, and despite it all he was defending his father's honor with his life.
"Bullshit you came here just to mess with us." Ichirou said, fueling his fist with his own blue fire. The area around them was incredibly hot, the heat of it all almost suffocating. "Regardless, you're wrong about him. You don't believe me because what the hell do I know, right? I've only known the man my whole life."
With a flick of his inflamed hand, multiple blue fireballs were spread around Kuro, Ichirou quickly teleporting to the one at the wolf's side to aim a punch for his jaw.
With the ranting finished and emotions spiraling out of control, Eito moved back down to be on level with Electros and Shunsuke. He landed on his feet easily, as calm and collected as ever, and looked at the duo in front of him. Eito was waiting for their move.
Eisuke was barely paying attention to the man, but he had enough sense to hide Shun and him behind an obstacle to prevent them from getting caught in the gravity quirk. Ichirou was more emotionally unstable than he had originally thought, showing a frightening new side to him that the older man never thought he'd see from his favorite nephew. Eisuke needed to get the students out and away from this. He needed to prevent the oncoming carnage that would happen between Kaz's sons. Everything had gone to shit in the worst way possible and all he could do was hope he could win his battle before the students got too injured. But, with the bastard Eito out for blood, Eisuke would have to pray Ichirou could hold his own while he tried to get an opening for retract and retreat.
His hands and body crackled with white lightning.
"Shunsuke, be ready. The best thing we can do is get one opening." That was all he said before in a flash the two were in front of Eito again. This time Eisuke was aiming more towards trying to get one opening. A single opening so that he could give a high voltage shock was all he needed. But Eito was slippery. Eito was fighting the heroes 2 to 1, and the bastard didn't even seem to be breaking a sweat.
If anything, this seemed more like an annoyance to him.
Kuro's eyes widened a bit as a wave of ice spikes came his way. He'd half expected, half hoped, that the kick would be enough to knock the Ice Queen out. Just barely avoiding the attack, he winced. He looked down. His uniform had been slashed. He was bleeding. Even so. He chuckled. "I'm not even surprised. I already knew you UA fucks were up to snuff."
Even so, Ichirou avoiding his attack. Kuro should have been looking out for the boy's teleportation. He grit his teeth, Ichirou's fist connecting. He coughed out a laugh and spit out a bit a blood before wiping his mouth. "You on the other hand, I expect way more from than that piss poor attack," he taunted as he reached out to grab the boy by the collar. "I mean seriously? Is that all the son of the number 1 hero has to show for himself?"
Kuro pulled Ichirou closer, figuring he'd just have to keep the pressure up so he couldn't teleport again so easily. He turned, pulling Ichirou into a spin like a ragdoll in order to slam him into the blunt side of the spike Masaru had created. "I mean come on! All that big talk? All this attitude? And what?" Kuro didn't let him go though. He pulled Ichirou back, black flames erupting from his body. "Let's see who's stronger for a second. You, or me." He kept Ichirou close enough so that his black flames would begin to envelop them both.
"What comes next?" He asked as he held Ichirou up, his flames growing more intense. For a split second, he glanced over at Masaru, daring him to attack again while he had Ichirou in his grasp.
Masaru's eyes widened as Ichirou was swooped and slammed into one of the spikes. He knew that the villain could have easily just impaled him on it and cursed his recklessness. Gritting his teeth in some frustration and pain, he prepared to attack again, but the wolf still had Ichirou held close. So he was going to play hostage now?
Clutching his gut, Masaru's body seemed to relax a bit, as if giving in to the boy's inferred demand. However, the blades that sat towards the ceiling out of sight made their descent.
"I don't care about your reasons or what you think you know. I'm not letting you or your allies hurt anyone else," Masaru stated with conviction, hopefully keeping the villain's attention on him so that the blades could stealthily collide with and incapacitate him. It was the best he could do currently as any reckless action could end up harming Ichirou.
Despite being slammed into the ground and tossed around, Ichirou felt numb. His blue flames rose to counter Kuro's, protecting the silver haired boy from the heat of his brother's fire.
""I mean seriously? Is that all the son of the number 1 hero has to show for himself?"" Ichirou shot back at Kuro in a mocking tone after the hit he'd taken. "I've taken shits that hurt worse than that."
Without warning, Ichirou slammed his forehead against Kuro's nose as hard as he could and grabbed the wolf's wrist. He flamed Kuro's wrist until Ichirou was free from the grasp, then threw his brother into the multiple machines nearby. The metal screamed as Kuro's body collided, completely giving into the impact. Ichirou didn't stop to see the damage; he followed Kuro at high speed with the intent of continuing this fight. Whether Ichirou won or lost this fight, he was going to make sure Kuro left with three words in mind.
'You are wrong.'
Masaru's blades didn't get very far. His flames, coupled with Ichirou's made sure of that, but one still managed to knick his shoulder. He growled, but he wasn't in the clear yet. His head flung back. "Gah!" He yelped in pain. "Did you just fuckin-" Kuro didn't have time to reacted before he was sent barreling into machines.
"You two stupid, fucking!" Kuro's body ached, but he didn't stay down. Blood running down his nose, he pulled himself from what was now essentially debris and rushed forward. "Fine! You want a real fight little brother?!" Kuro stumbled a bit, but managed to catch himself. Two fists connected, one in Kuro, the other in Ichirou's. "Then let's have a real fight." Kuro pulled back, just enough to reach forward and grab Ichirou by the hair. It was likely unexpected. Kuro pulled him forward and brought his knee up into Ichirou's gut.
Ichirou sure as hell wasn't giving up though. He had something to prove. He threw a powerful punch to Kuro's leg. "Ya know... It's amazing how little care you've been showing for your little pal over there. Even though he's been so caring for you. Why don't I give you two a second to reconnect?" Kuro scoffed, speaking through grit teeth as he yanked Ichirou forward by the hair, turning until he could send his little brother flying in Masaru's direction. "Come on Ice boy! You've got more in you," Kuro paused, looking like an absolute madman wiping the blood from his face, leaving it a bit smeared around his mouth.
"RIGHT?!" Just as he finished, Kuro's eyes widened. Swords? Spears? So many weapons coming his way. He growled as he began to throw fireball after fire ball, trying to clear a path for himself. He charged forward, but some made contact. He felt cuts scrape through his arms. Some didn't just cut be began to freeze the areas they connected with. Kuro just barely managed to thaw the areas out as he continued to rush the two boys. "Alright! This is more like it! Come on! Show me what you've got!"
"Tch." Masaru clicked his tongue as he saw his surprise attack turn to steam from the combined efforts of the two fire users. Ichirou was losing it, which made it a lot more difficult to connect or combine his attacks to fit the others. If that wasn't enough, Kuro had grabbed Ichirou and threw him in Masaru's direction. That was perhaps better suited to Masaru, however.
As Ichirou flew towards him, instantly an armada of weapons took form and barraged Kuro. Strong, fast or otherwise, the villain couldn't burn through or evade all of them. As that volley shot out, Masaru then materialized an upwards slide for Ichirou to collide with, dampening his fall and causing him to ramp upwards where he could more easily recover. Masaru exhaled an icy breath, stomping his foot forward to summon an encirclement of spikes around Kuro to stall his advance and make him an easier target.
Though Ichirou had planned to teleport himself elsewhere to avoid collision with Masaru, seeing the slide that was made gave him another idea.
As he slid upwards, he threw a fireball in Kuro's direction and used the momentum to warp himself at high speed towards the wolf. Taking into account that his brother would probably see this as an easy counter, Ichirou readied phase two of the plan.
He held out one hand as if he was going to blast Kuro with fire, but the other tossed another fireball that landed on the ground. Using the momentum again, Ichirou reappeared this down at Kuro's side. The silver haired boy was crouched with the same hand still extended at Kuro. The grips of his boots stopped his sliding and his position would keep him out of harm's way of Masaru's weapons.
He blasted blue fire at Kuro, trying to engulf him in the flames to at least make his skin more sensitive if anything. Scalded skin enhanced everything touch-wise, and with that enhancement, Masaru's and Ichirou's attacks would be more effective should the attempt be successful.
Kuro had continued his charge. He was determined to get to them. The issue? The Ice brat was craftier than expected. In fact, both Masaru and Ichirou worked well together. They'd have worked better if Ichirou wasn't so angry. At least that was Kuro's belief. He might have to...
"Dammit!" He growled. Ichirou had some how made it back to his side. To the right, he felt a torrent of flames. "You little-" He jumped forward into the stream. Ichirou likely wasn't expecting that. Kuro's heat resistance didn't mean much of a damn thing if the attack was this high on output. But he had one more trick up his sleeve. A little extra protection and speed. He lunged at Ichirou. The boy inadvertently made it harder for Masaru's attacks to reach Kuro.
As Kuro soared through the flames his body began to transform, his combat uniform seemed to be pulled into the bands around his wrists and ankles as well as the collar. Soon, they were all that adorned him. What came to knock Ichirou down was a massive, snarling wolf. Flecks of blue fire still singed his black fur as Kuro's large body slammed Ichirou to the ground, one of his paws holding the younger boy in place. Kuro growled, his nails... no... his claws digging into Ichirou's shoulder until another weapon smashed into him. His attention turned to Masaru and he left Ichirou to charge once more.
One would expect that such a large target would have bene easier to hit, but now running on all fours at top speed, Kuro could weave through the barrage much easier. When he did finally reach Masaru, Kuro lunged. Turning in mid-air, he used the large mass of his body to slam into the Ice user. The would give him a moment. As he transformed, from the collar aorund his neck his combat uniform seemed to spill out, covering his body once more. Although it did take a moment until he was completely covered, from top to bottom. Masaru might even have caught a glimpse of something he didn't want to. "I'm getting really tired of you two," Kuro said, huffing a bit tiredly as he stood over Masaru.
Masaru blinked a couple times as the villain seemed to change forms. He had turned into a giant dog now. Masaru wasn't sure if he preferred that to the smartass that wouldn't stop talking, but the animal soon proved itself to be just as annoying.
While he had managed to stop the thing from clawing Ichirou's throat out, but now it was after him, and it seemed to be more agile. Masaru formed a blade in his hand, but unfortunately there was little to do against the animal throwing its body against him. Glancing up at the figure standing above him, it seemed Kuro was back to the smartass form. Masaru scowled in return.
"Feel free to screw off and never show your face again," Masaru retorted, a smaller shaft of ice erupting from the ground at an angle to collide with Kuro's ankle.
Hoping for that to take him off his feet or stumble him, Masaru hopped back onto his feet. He spun around, ice blade in hand, slashing at Kuro's torso.
Ichirou had not, in fact, been expecting the large behemoth of a wolf to be on him in that instance. It seriously made him wonder how a quirk was able to hold a wolf form, superstrength, and fire manipulation. Was this a tri-quirk? Or another dual quirk? He had no idea, but right now was not the time to analyze.
He moved his legs underneath Kuro's wolf body, his knees against his own chest and his feet under Kuro's ready to launch his brother through the ceiling. However, Masaru attacked first and Kuro was gone. With a small curse, Ichirou got up quickly and quickly scanned the room as to how to pin the bastard wolf down.
There wasn't much that could be used without Kuro destroying it. Guess there was nothing left to do but a fight of attrition.
Ichirou, while Kuro was distracted, appeared behind the wolf and threw him once again for the main purpose of getting him away from Masaru.
Ichirou knew that water could douse his flames and temporarily stop his quirk from working… would Kuro's be the same?
Was there a chance to even test that theory?
"Fuck!" Kuro growled as he felt himself thrown off balance. Masaru was coming at him. Kuro grit his teeth. He attempted to push off the ground, just barely avoiding the blade. Unfortunately, before he could even consider retaliation, Ichirou was upon him. Once again, he had thrown him. Kuro skidded across the ground. His brother was strong. It was largely due to his flames it seems, but he could also use them to burn, teleport, and whatever the fuck else?
Shaking his head, Kuro sucked in a breath, hopping to his feet. He charged forward once again. "Ya know lil Ichi, you seem so protective of the Ice Queen. Almost territorial." Kuro grin, as he blocked a retaliatory punch from Ichirou. Then a slash from Masaru. "Then there's you." He hopped back, and grabbed Masaru's wrist. Kuro grinned pulling him in. "Don't worry, this isn't the hostage game." Spinning the ice swordsman around Kuro grabbed his head. "I'm just helping you two get a little closer."
As he said that, Kuro grabbed the back of Masaru's head, jamming the ice user's face into the fire boy's. "I mean, hate seeing a guy get all worked up." He laughed a little as he mashed one boy's face into the other. "Seriously, little bro. I just wanted to be friends. You two are damn near made for each~" he said before kicking Masaru in the back to push the two over. Probably not the best moment for the two.
It was a pain, but they seemed to be pushing him back, or so Masaru thought. Despite Ichirou's anger, they still worked rather well with each other. However, it seemed the villain still had strength stored up. The wolf blocked Masaru's blade, causing the frost to climb to the point of impact and spread a bit. That would slow him down, however then Kuro grabbed Masaru's wrist. He was fine taking some damage if it meant freezing the villain over slowly. The ice user wasn't expecting the next move though.
Smashed into Ichirou and shoved away, it was clear the villain was still just screwing around. Was it so fun to step on people? To attack those who wanted to be left alone? Masaru didn't fluster or exclaim, he was just pissed off.
What happened next was likely unexpected for Kuro and uncharacteristically cheap for Masaru. A pillar erupted from the ground, as was unusual with the ice user. However, the location was; directly under Kuro's legs. Masaru pushed himself to his feet with a cold expression that fit what he felt. He obviously didn't care if Kuro got hurt a bit, by now he had definitely earned a hit to the pride as well as below.
Kuro was laughing hard. It seemed neither of the boys had expected that. Still, he wasn't either. Mid-laugh, he felt pain shoot through him. He coughed. He hunched over, body trembling in agony for a moment. "You little bastard." The wolf looked up, swallowing hard, to avoid puking. He snarled and grabbed Masaru. He brought his knee up into the boys gut. "That was a cheap shot you piece of shit!" He was so mad, he was seeing red. He awanted to do more, but honestly, the way he was feeling, he could only think of throwing Masaru, sending him skidding across the ground.
"The way he was looking at you, you'd think he'd be happy about me helping you two take the next step in your relationship." Kuro huffed, glancing at Ichirou. Still joking, even now. Was he taking this seriously at all?
Was Ichirou expecting to have his face against Masaru's? No. Was he surprised? Not even close. This shit happened so much by now that it wasn't even something worth getting flustered over. Instead it just pissed him off.
However, it seemed Masaru beat him to the punch first; or rather, the attack.
Kuro didn't have a chance to continue laughing before the cheapest shot Ichirou had ever seen quickly smashed itself in between the wolf's legs. Now, it was Ichirou himself who let out a laugh.
"Well shit, you're not neutered? Guess you are now huh?" He asked as the silver haired boy moved in for the attack.
Kuro grit his teeth. He hadn't expected this to be an easy fight by any means. But he hadn't expected a shot to the balls either. And then, there was Ichirou. "Oh, you think that's funny huh?" Call it some sort of misplaced pride, but Kuro was actually glad that the ball of anger that was hist little brother hadn't given up yet. In fact, as he attacked, as the two began to go back and forth, blow for blow, punch for punch, kick for kick, he was almost impressed. At least he would have been if not for Ichirou's big fucking mouth. Between him and Masaru, it was hard to pick who was worse in terms of cheap shots.
Ichriou said something. It was inaudible to everyone, but Kuro. It ticked every box you could to royally piss of Kuro. It was made the wolf's blood boil. Blood trickled down he nose and out of his mouth; everything hurt. Kuro snarled, spitting blood out onto the floor as things seemed to settle for a moment. And then boom! A flame fueled crack to Ichirou's face.
"You really like to run your damn mouth, little brother," Kuro growled as he began to wail on Ichirou, pulling ahead in their little showdown. He was landing more punches then he was taking. HAs his fist collided with Ichirou's face, he followed with a knee to the chest. When it seemed like Ichirou would fall back, Kuro grabbed the boy's hair and yanked him back closer. He slammed his fist into Ichirou's face. "Guess I still owed you for the nosebleed huh?" Another powerful punch to the stomach. As this continued, it grew harder and harder for Ichirou to get a lick in himself. Kuro kept the pressure on. Punch, punch, kick, punch, knee, kick, punch... Over and over until finally, Kuro slammed Ichirou up against the nearest machine.
"Well?" he asked, daring Ichirou to speak up again. "What do you have to say now, runt?" Kuro was breathing heavily, staring at his now beaten and bloodied brother. "What does the great son of Japan's number 1 hero have to say?!"
Pain was all Ichirou knew at the moment. Pain, anger, and a variety of different emotions that had been held back for so long. Even he himself didn't know he had said something until it was too late, and Kuro's retaliation came in pure unbridled fury.
Bones were broken, blood shed, and a lot of it was Ichirou's. The battle continued to the point that the silver haired boy could barely see straight. It was difficult to breathe now, and yet, Ichirou was still hanging on to consciousness for some reason. Perhaps it was the adrenaline, but Ichirou knew he wouldn't last for long…
Dad, mom, Honoka, and Chiasa… Would he never see them again..?
Kuro slamming Ichirou against the machine snapped him out of his thoughts, and his question reverberated in his ears.
Ichirou shakily lifted his arm up. The sleeve was torn, and penetrating his skin was a large piece of metal, with his blood seeping out of the wound in large amounts. He brought the wound to his mouth, sucked some of the blood, before mixing it with his saliva and spat the mess all over Kuro's face.
"You're lucky your mother is dead…. She'd be so proud… to see the despicable bastard villain her son became…"
Kuro stared at Ichirou, shock and disbelief evident on his face. He hadn't expected that answer from Ichirou. His nostrils flared and he flashed his fangs, growling. And yet, his expression seemed almost hurt, his eyes seeming to be holding something back. "Fuck you..." His voice was low, almost a whisper. And then suddenly he pulled his fist back, winding up a punch. "FUCK-" he threw his punch, but didn't hit Ichirou. Rather, his fist slamming in through the machine he'd pinned the younger boy against. "you..." he finished, his voice lower again.
Turning back the clock...
As Masaru and Ichirou battled Kurogane, Shunsuke and Eisuke began their assault on Eito.
Shunsuke breathed in and out slowly, nodding in affirmation that he'd understood Eisuke's orders. He grinned and sucked in a breath. It was tough just trying to keep up with them, but Shunsuke was just managing. Each time it seemed like Eito would have a shot at getting at Eisuke, he'd find himself face to face with a wall. "I won't give you the chance!" he barked.
If he could build on the moment and pressure of the battle, Shunsuke could help give Eisuke, no Electros, the opening he needed. That was who he needed to be in this moment. Even though every so often he'd catch a glimpse of his classmates, his friends, having a tough time, he kept himself focused. Right now, he couldn't be the same person he'd made himself to be up to this point. He had to be a hero. Not a martial artist. Not a student. The Hero: Kihon Panzer.
Shun just had to keep that in mind as he launched furious punches and kicks at Eito. He just needed to make contact. But this bastard wasn't giving him the chance.
Eito's target wasn't Shunsuke, and yet the damn bastard kept interrupting any openings he had to touch Electros and kill him in an instant. It was annoying, and the usually emotionless man let out a scowl saying so. It was quite apparent that so long as Shunsuke was standing, his revenge would have to be patient.
Eito waited two years for this. Electros's blood was going to be on his own hands… If another casualty was necessary to complete what he'd been planning for, then he would do just that. After all, what was another person to his body count?
Eito quickly kicked Eisuke in the stomach and used the momentum to boost his weightless body over Shun, grabbing the boy's arm as he did so. Then, he quickly adjusted his gravity so that he may land faster, and it was now Shun who was floating. With the two men back to back, and the inside of Shunsuke's arm facing upward, the other boy's center of gravity was dramatically increased, and a loud snap accompanied the sight of Shunsuke's arm at a completely unnatural angle over Eito's shoulder.
"Pathetic." The long haired man said, directing the words at Shun as he let the now useless arm go.
Eisuke's eyes were wide and he quickly sprung back into action. He was failing his duties as a Hero. Ichirou was broken and bloody, Shunsuke was injured, and it won't be long before he wouldn't have a nephew anymore judging by Kuro's body language. He needed to move! At least get the bastard away from Shun long enough so that he could grab everyone and make a retreat!
Electros, the second Shunsuke's arm was free, zipped past and launched another punch at Eito. With the villain's attention momentarily on Eisuke, it left Shun with an opening of attack.
Shunsuke had been doing a relatively good job of keeping his mentor safe. He wouldn't be repeating the same mistake he'd made at the License Exam. He kept moving forward, each attempt at attack on Eito's part thwarted by him. But where did that land the boy?
He was floating. And not in a metaphorical 'life is going great' kind of way. So this was Eito's quirk. It was a lot like Shunsuke's father's quick. And then, just like that, Shunsuke felt himself slam down to the ground. "Gaaaaah!" he screamed in pain, feeling his arm snap in two at the elbow. Doubled over in pain, clutching his now broken right arm, Eito's word began to repeat in his mind. Was this all it would take to put him down? There wasn't even a lull in the action. Eito wasn't wasting time.
"You're right..." Shunsuke spoke softly, moreso to himself than to the villain. "I am..." a brief pause, "pathetic."
Shunsuke groaned forcing himself to his feet. Eito was focused entirely on Electros, his vendetta blinding him to everything else. "But..." Settling himself into a fighting stance, Shunsuke inhaled slowly. He watched until the opening presented himself. His mind flashed back to his mother, her teaching, the time he'd visited home with Cupie. Nothing fancy or flashy. A basic punch. And as soon as Eito was left open, unawares to the young hero-in-training's intentions, he striked. Shunsuke launched a powerful punch aimed at Eito's back, right around where his kidney would be. The damage that could be taken and given via this technique was solely reliant on the effort and training that he or she spent to master it. Of course, Shunsuke had spent many minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years practicing this simple attack.
"But I'm still standing leagues above a petty asshole like you." He said that, but he felt like he was gonna pass out. He was seeing stars. All the attacks he'd taken, the broken arm. Maybe it was all getting to him. But hey, he hadn't stayed down, at least.
The punch had definitely startled Eito, and as pain flourished through the villain's body, Eisuke quickly took this small moment of opportunity as their chance to escape. He activated his quirk, the flashing and crackling light of his electricity going haywire. Eisuke moved quickly, grabbing Shunsuke's good arm, then flashed over to Kuro and his two students. He quickly kicked Kuro's side, hard enough to force him to drop Ichirou, then made quick haste grabbing them too.
As the flashed from one spot to another towards the exit, multiple pieces of machinery were flying at them from all directions. Eito did his damnedest, and came close to hitting the four multiple times, but in the end Eisuke managed to get them past the exit just in time for a machine to slam against the wall they had just been at. Even then, Eisuke didn't stop there. As he ran, he phoned for medical and backup to try and get Ichirou the attention he desperately needed and some assistance for Shun's arm.
Chimera & Iron Volt
Tamoyo Rescue Corp Advanced Medical Field Training Site
Mentions/Interactions/collaboration : @Reanimator Spuds @Thaleko
"All good responses. Now before I send you out to our specialized field we will be going over common medical techniques on the field that way you know how to respond to average to minor wounds, and how to address them. We will also be going over how your own quirks can be applied, and equipment you can add to your own to help give the edge of keeping yourselves, and others alive," Chimera lightly smirked at the girl's responses each was a strong response in its own way. Iron Volt was vibrant & strong, The Last Shadow was ominous, and Candy Mimi was raring to go full force. The first half of the day was spent in a classroom going over common techniques like cpr, bandaging, tourniquet use, halting bleeding out. A good half way into it though Chimera had switched it up giving each girl a unique situation that revolved around their quirk use in the practice.
"Candy Mimi, and Iron Volt you both have the capability to stabilize pressure onto your rescues by other means through your quirks Iron Volt you yourself have had such experience using your hair to bind, and keep such a victim stabilized during the attack on the school while being attacked by a villain at the same time. I also heard you found a balance to use your hair as a defibrillator were going to concentrate on both aspects with these dummies so you can make that more on purpose then accident learning how much electricity to apply on the go can save a ally in a pinch," Chimera expressed having Aurora nod as she was directed over to another table by Chimera's dragon hand with two dummies one laying on the ground attached to a electrical reading device the other with several lacerations needing bandaging, and blood halt techniques.
"Candy Mimi you yourself can use your crystals to help fight fatigue in long excursions, create small barricades to shield others while performing medical techniques, and even use your crystals to makeshift bindings, slings, and many other tools most would be weighed down by," Chimera moved Mimi with her snake tail to some actual faculty members to test out how well her crystals could help fatigue along with a training dummy to create a few bindings/slings on without crushing them or progress the quirk to fair on them.
"As for you Last Shadow your quirk would do well in delivering supplies through your shadows, along with transporting wounded victims, and allies out of danger. Problem is we need to make sure you can move things without damaging them through your shadows, or make sure to move them at a proper pace without worsening their condition," Amaris was directed with Chimeras goat hand to some supply crates, and dummies on stretchers with a good distant track like line for the girl to move them from with some obstacles in the way to give Amaris a study of sudden change of environment.
"Alright I can do this. I did it before I just got to be slo... GAHHHHH," Iron volt had prepped to bind the wounded dummy before an air horn was blared into her face out of the blue by a faculty member revealing real quick that all the details of the training were not given. Clearly this was to stress them while working to help them adjust to pressure. Case in point some of the spots Amaris would pass would suddenly release volts of electricity to zap the girl when she wasn't paying attention or moving too slow. Mimi on her binding dummies would get pelted by bean bag bullets to force her to work defense while working. Over the course the girl's would adjust rather quickly, and with impressive improvements as the week went on with the obstacles changing each day, and the medical techniques advancing each day as well so that the girl's could designate wounds, infections, and injuries on the spot.
At first, Mimi was taken to test her sugar and what she could with it. Since her quirk took her sugar from her blood, she theoretically could add more to it than just sugar. Still, the sugar alone, at a high concentration was an effective field snack to help with fatigue. It was difficult, but the other staff members asked her to try and add other aspects to her crystals as time wore on. It wasn't much, but after struggling and testing, and with a safe dose being administered by the medical staff, she was able to infuse her crystals with a minor amount of adrenaline. Not enough to do anything now, but with more practice she should be able to keep it going.
After that she was brought to the same area as Aurora to practice her quirk for binding and tending to wounds. The dummies were surprisingly realistic. As realistic as they could be without looking like actual human bodies. Still, they responded to the stimuli as a human body would be. The loud noises were a lot, but Mimi was focusing on the task at hand too much to really pay much attention to them. However, she didn't have as much first aid training as Aurora, so though the pressure wasn't as much, she performed not as well as her partner due to her lack of experience, having spent most of her training at her old school as a brawler.
Aurora herself was adapted to multitasking training sessions having to bandage, and defend on the field like the others girls as the staff would attack her without warning Hardwired training thankfully helped with aspect as his quick movement training with her hair, and precision like movements to block, and tend at the same time. How ironic that such a fighting type quirk could turn so versatile as shown with Aurora, and her bandage partner Mimi.
"So are you girl's ready to take on the field course," Chimera half lazily half excitedly asked with a grin.
Mimi nodded. She was ready, but she didn't show any outward excitement. She knew this experience would be fun at least, and would be a good chance to get to know more of her classmates, but she still didn't have that sense of pride and commitment to the profession as her classmates did. Perhaps Chimera's training could change that. The only way to find out would be to do it.
Amaris had some first aid training already, as her butlers and maids figured it would be useful to know as a hero, so she had a small leg up on this. However, she had never considered carrying medical supplies through her shadows before. "I shall try!" she said before they began.
Amaris was not sure if she could carry people through her shadows, but she could use her shadows to transport someone wounded, on like a stretcher or something. Still, the obstacle course of electrical charges helped the shadow-traveler map out and move along the best path to giving medical aid. The shocks hurt, but they definitely helped her learn how best to get relief to those in need. After just a week, she had already learned quite a lot.
"What iss the field coursse?" she asked. But she also nodded, Amaris was not one to know how to not be ready.
"Just turn around and you will see it with your own eyes," Chimera softly smiled as the command centers shutters opened wide re-revealing the devastating field they had witnessed on arrival. Not needing to detail the importance of the field Chimera continued. "Anyone can run into a fight, however running to aid another medically in the aftermath of uncertainty is not so easy. Most heros freeze at the sight of wounded untrained to handle such scenarios leaving them wide open to failure, and attack. This field's single goal is to give you that feeling of paranoia, and panic to heighten your intake of disaster to build your resilience to it. Those who see the field of battle's true war face come out of it hardened, and that is the plan," Chimera spoke as the elevator door opened causing Chimera to motion them towards it. "Once we have exhausted you as much as possible we will call it a day. So then i wish you luck girls," she spoke sending the girls down into the field as she motioned the staff to start running simulation four.
Once the elevator landed the girls would come onto a prep camp filled with supplies they were clearly supposed to grab on their way out. As Chimera had promised the day would be filled with nasty territory caused by a "villains" attack. The realism to the victims they came across, and the onslaught of the grunts of the "villains" was very eye opening to what it was like to experience the aftermath of a nasty villain's attempts in destroying people without a care. For Aurora she remembered the real villains they had dealt with recently… could they cause this much damage?
"Jeez now I know why father, and mother said training could always be worse," She chuckled as the three saw the last simulated copter take the last of the recovered "victims" from the scout reports. Sitting down with Mimi, and Amaris she could see they were rather spent as well. With a bright smile she gave them both thumbs up.
"Not bad for our first disaster course," she chuckled a little sore from that last wave of grunts dropping a beam on her half way through the fight.
So the field course was a disaster scenario which featured primarily rescuing and helping victims, while also providing relief aid and dealing with their injuries? It certainly was thorough… Not what they had done so far in UA. But with the previous training, Amaris felt she could handle this. Alongside the other girls the young hero-in-training set about helping the victims. "Yess," she replied to Aurora. "We havve done well. As-s havve you, Aurora. You havve learned how to handle injured victimss well."
Mimi was still new to the whole tending to wounds thing. Hearing Amaris talk about how she and Aurora had experience in this made her wonder if she'd end up being a hindrance in their practice. Still, Mimi wasn't ready to just give up yet. It was tough, seeing the realistic nature of these wounds that they were treating. "You're really calm." Mimi said to Aurora, strangely enough, not thinking about how she herself had pushed forward without wavering, oftentimes moving into more dangerous places without any real regard for her own wellbeing, covering herself in her crystals to prevent any scrapes or cuts from barbed wires. "You look tired. Candy?" She pulled out a bag of her own filled with sweets and offered them to the group.
"Thanks Amaris you're getting better massively as well. I never seen you move so effectively in a fluid tactful manner like that heh seems this training is helping us more then we thought," Aurora chuckled softly pulling Amaris into an affectionate hug as Mimi spoke up offering her candy. "I will never deny your treats Mimi," Aurora chuckled nomming lightly on the rock candy. "Your pretty impressive yourself you weren't phased at all under fire it's quite impressive." As the girls enjoyed their down time Aurora noticed oddly that no one had come to retrieve them yet. Still nomming on her rock candy she was suddenly highly aware as a woman's hauntingly calm singing could be heard. In fact Aurora was so aurora she seemed to be frozen to the spot as the soothing song continued out in the distance. Not to far away a woman clad in what could only be described as an assassins outfit was slowly making her way to them. Aurora eyes were now wide open… that voice, that song, that outfit. "Impossible…," Aurora stood up her hair coming to life aggressively as the long thought gone pro hero Medusa stood before them. The singing had come to a halt as the woman extended her arms out to them dripping with blood off her very armored finger tips.
"Won't you come to me my little angel," Imma spoke directly to Amaris.
A light little pink tinge appeared on Amaris's cheeks as Aurora pulled her into a hug while speaking her nice words. "Mmm.. I can take some candy.." she murmured at the same time. Just to munch into the tough sweet crunchy treat. Not that her teeth had any issue breaking it apart at all.
Just then, the little pigtailed vampy froze at the voice that drew her attention. Blinking big eyes, dropping the held candy she had, she turned. Amaris stood staring at the encroaching person who had the visage of someone she knew very well from the past. But that person was supposed to be dead. There was no way such a person could be here, such a thing could be… And yet.. the words spoken to Amaris made the vampy shiver. She was very familiar with that voice, remembering it as clear as day.
Despite what should've been an incredible reunion, there was a visible frown on the short girl's face. Whatever the case may be, she did not seem too pleased. Amaris could not believe what she was seeing or hearing. It made her tense up and frankly.. Worried?
She stared at this supposed Imma. Her eyes looking at the outstretched arms. And the fingers dripping blood. The vampy felt sick to her stomach, like when she ate vegetables.
Medusa watched as Amaris and Aurora reacted hazardously to her appearance. Even the girl Mimi clearly had a confused reaction… as such her arms dropped lifelessly to her side as she started to slowly walk towards them.
"What's wrong my sleepy bat… don't you miss me Amaris…. run girls," with each Imma's voice started to twist, and break through her lips until finally her whole body dropped lifelessly and the last two words were clearly of someone fighting themselves.
"Amaris, Mimi… don't hold back," Aurora spoke her words churned horrible in her stomach as she watched her Auntie Imma tears fighting to come out as her hair started to spark. There was no way they could escape her in this structure, and worst they were clearly about to fight a original top 8 ranked hero with a quirk that made it dangerous to get near. Worst even unknowing what insanity was happening right now Aurora wasn't positive she could hurt her aunt. Yet as two armblades jetted out of her armbraces stained in blood it was clear they had no choice. With one last twisted movement Imma removed her mask, and made a mad dash for the three girls.
Mimi was quick to step up covering her side in hardened sugar crystals, and intercepting the first attack as best she could. Mimi remembered from a few years ago back this hero simply vanished. Everyone assumed the worst. Well, apparently they didn't. As the former hero rushed at them, Mimi turned her face to the side and covered her right side in hardened crystal to absorb the blow. Amaris would be in danger being so close, and Aurora would have to make contact. It had to be iher. She didn't speak, simply grunted as the blow hit. Medusa wasn't a strength-type hero, but she was still a massive force to attempt to stop. Mimi looked back at her partners, face still stoic. She wouldn't have long before she passed out: either from a low blood sugar, or from being knocked unconscious, but she had to be the one right now. She gave them a nod, knowing she'd need them just as much as they needed her.
Amaris wasn't sure what she was seeing or what was going on. The person's words before her hardly made any sense. If this was Imma, then she needed to get her head on straight. And yet.. Everything she had been told was that Imma had been killed. Normally this wouldn't even phase Amaris -or maybe it would. But with the current Amaris, she was seemingly locked in place, unable to handle what was happening.
Even hearing the warning, she remained still, head still swirling, trying to wrap itself around what was happening. At best she could determine that Imma's "death" had been a lie. And yet, she remained rooted.. Even when the woman before her readied for battle, rushing towards them. Amaris watched as the new girl ran forward to meet her head on. Amaris sniffled, tears leaking from the corner of her gray eyes.
"AMARIS," Aurora yelled out to her long time friend as she assisted Mimi by getting behind the girl, and helping her deflect the incoming attack. As Imma was pushed back instead of repositioning the woman charged again this time vaulting over the both girls and landing inbetween all three. The effect was felt instantly as Imma's numbing proximity effect kicked in slowly draining the girls of their strength. In quick response though Aurora met Imma's bladed arms with her own halting the spinning blade trick she was about to perform. Unfortunately the woman was quick to switch strategies as she twisted her hand catching Auroras as she swung around the blonde kicking Mimi with both her legs. She quickly let go before Aurora's hair could catch her flipping behind the stunned Amaris as that voice poked out again.
"Don't you miss me," the voice called to amaris arms reaching out to grab the small girl before retreating back as Imma dodged an electrical hair attack that was quick to grab Amaris and pull her back. Feeling more drained then before thanks to the physical contact with Medusab Aurora grabbed Mimi as well before hosting them up building with her hair.
"I Don't know what this is Amaris, but that is clearly Imma we can't stagger or we will lose fast. I doubt help is coming any time soon. We can't expect it... we have to fight… Amaris we need to knock her out," Aurora spoke trying to pull Amaris out of her real world nightmare. As she pulled them higher up she was met with the sight of Imma running up a slanted building next to them.
"Mimi, delay her. We have to get to the top," Aurora growled in frustration. Imma was a parkour specialist there was no way Aurora could out maneuver her if she got close, but in close dangerous quarters like the roof the girl could predict, and counter the assassins movements while keeping some distance. The only issue would be Imma's sight they could not afford to look her in the eyes.
"Imma…" Amaris breathed out. She thought the woman had been killed. This was something she had no idea about or how to parse. Still, Aurora's voice somewhat brought the vampire back to earth. "Knock her out?.. Shhould… Shhould I trap her withh my shhadows?.." It didn't require her to touch Imma to do that.
Mimi nodded. "I can do it." Knowing full well that this might be difficult on the two of them. Amaris also didn't possess the high stamina that the two of them had. She looked back at her and gave her a look as if to say Go. With that Mimi brought up another chunk of crystal, and stood between the other two, making sure to only coat the parts she planned to defend with.
With that said Imma jumped at them. Using her hair to shield them, Aurora flung Amaris to the roof as Mimi's crystal blocked Imma's attack. Only problem was this time she dug her blades into Mimi's crystal' s meeting Mimi's eyes with her own, thankfully for only a moment as Aurora's hair grabbed onto her, and electrocuted the prior pro hero off. Sliding down only momentarily Imma again started to give chase. Flinging Mimi up to Amaris, Aurora met the pro hero head on electrical hair flying wildly at the viper. Horrifyingly Imma danced past the weaves of hair closing in to meet Iron Volts eyes thankfully Aurora used her other senses to guide her as she blocked the woman's blades with her hands flying upward with an aggressive hair pull to avoid any close contact with Imma. Landing rough as she skidding a bit past her partners on the roof Aurora looked to Amaris.
"Mimi, and I will hold her off… you need to… dear souls… grab her without looking at her," Aurora now understood why Imma was considered such a terror on the field of hero's. Even though she was not a strong hitter her speed, reflexes and quirk easily made up for it. Fatigue and dreariness were quickly building on her. Yet as it was tinkle to execute the plan they were met with a hostile sight as both Medusa, and Chimera came flying unto the rooftop. With many a healed slash wounds on her body it was quickly clear this wasn't Chimera first swing into this fight. Breathing heavy herself Chimera only watched Imma's feet avoiding her quirk's more fatal element.
"It's now or never," Aurora growled as she charged into the fray joining in Chimeras attack knowing Mimi would follow her in. They just needed to provide Amaris enough time to pin Imma down with heavy shadows, and keep her from looking at Immas eyes.
Amaris heard the go-ahead. With a glance at her partners, she raised up her hands and shadows spread out from her catching Imma by her ankles, rooting her in place. Amaris winced feeling the proximity of Imma's quirk, but she was used to the woman being around her, so she powered through. Her shadows spread up Imma's body, tightening around her, holding her fast. "Th-there.." the small vampire murmured in a soft voice. It wasn't clear what her personal feelings on the matter was, but the small wrinkle in her brow and the frown on her lips may have indicated it.
Mimi took her crystals and prepped for a cover, running quickly behind, she retracted her larger crystals and instead was coated in a thin layer of dust, which she launched outwards from her body, creating a sweet cloud of pixie dust around the Chimera, Aurora, and herself. Her team knew where Imma was, but she didn't know the same any longer. But instead of running forward with the other two, Mimi coated her hand in a rock and raised it forward. "Pop-Rocks." Despite being a special move, it's delivery was lackluster. However it's capabilities were plentiful as suddenly from inside her candy dust screen shards of hardened rock candy came flying in a wide shotgun blast.
Upon the wave of attacks Imma's movement was hindered thanks to Amaris then her visual was disoriented with the candy dust. Though Mimi's shotgun blast was blocked by her hand's the arm braces were shredded falling off as Aurora's hair grabbed her, and started to low tier zap her. Though with direct contact Aurora quickly lost control of her hair but the damage had been dealt. As Imma finally stopped moving Chimera finally felt her fatigue kick in as she fell to the ground breathing heavy. Clearly she had fought Imma hard core before jumping in like a bat out of hell on the course.
"What's… happened to her," Aurora exhaustingly spoke confused, and unsure why she had been alive, or even why she had attacked them… the blonde racked her head on an impossible series of events that could have lead to this. Though more terrifying was knowing they hadn't fought this woman at full strength… and she nearly took them all out within a few moves. More strange though was they should have lost. Imma was a well known strategist, and especially skilled in the heat of the moment… she was clearly not all there.
"Amaris why won't you look at me," Imma called out weakly still held by Amaris's shadows, but now looking directly at the smaller girl.
Amaris was well aware of Imma's strategic mind, her smarts. The way she was fighting... it felt wrong.. even to the vampire. That stemmed from knowing the woman well; this was just not like her. Why was she attacking them anyway? Where had she gone? Why was she back? What had changed?
With a furrowed look on her face, she murmured. "Somethhing musst havve happened..." She wasn't sure what it was, or what was going on, but something wasn't right here.
Blinking, hearing the woman's plea. The pigtailed goth looked up with her grayish eyes. The pupils narrowed and turned purple. A big frown appeared on her face, with her eyes on Imma's. The shadows weakened, and Amaris doubled over, clutching herself. There were tears streaming down her face. The shadows weakened then began to recede.
As soon as the shadows wavered Imma broke free like a wild animal pulling out of a chained net setting their violent eyes on their captor. Grabbing a knife or of her cloth Imma screamed like a beat as she shot straight for Amaris.
"AMARIS," with little chance to do much else Aurora got in the way bear tackling Medusa to the ground using her hair to grab and halt herself from squashing the pro hero. Quickly losing strength the threat of massive damage being inflicted the moment she got lose again… was equalled out as Chimera snake tail latched onto Imma's next delivering a heavy dose of anesthesia. Upon Imma's surrender and inability to struggle any further Aurora limped to her right side away from Imma.
"Mimi… glue her to the spot if you can," Chimera spoke with exhaustion as she sat next to the immovable aurora.
Mimi nodded. She really shouldn't do too much more. She could feel herself losing some grip on reality, having used a lot of her blood sugar. Too much more and she'd start seizing. But… She could do a little more she thought. She placed a hand over Imma and encased the majority of her body in crystal, covering her eyes but leaving her nose and mouth to breath. Afterwards she stumbled backwards, barely catching herself.
"Juice please…"
Amaris blinked and stared, wide-eyed at the impossibly bizarre scene before her. The one she couldn't believe. Imma was here, she was back.. She stabbed Aurora! "Sstop," she said to Mimi. Her shadows wrapped back around Imma and began to squeeze her. "I will hold her.." Amaris said, sniffling softly. There was juice nearby, just in case, so some shadows brought it over and handed it to the candy girl. The rest of the day would feel like a wild blur as Surge Alloy would arrive on the scene with full force of his hero agency. Lucky thanks to Chimera's insane push of effort no one had died in the attack. Many were wheel off to the nearest clinics the three hero's ion training themselves came out the luckiest . Chimera herself would have to be hauled off for recovery. It wouldn't take long for the news to get ahold of the bombshell that happen how the believed dead hero Medusa's Gaze was in fact still alive, and had been reported to be under some sort of brainwash to attack hero's adding only hysteria to the faltering emotions the populace had on the hero community, and on the government. However in an oddity of circumstance Surge Alloy had not handed over Imma Routes a factor that did not help the public view on the matter. He was in fact keeping her at his HQ understatement to a required heavy lockdown detox with a statement adding how with her quirk it was impossible to move her again with risking chaos with her current mind.
Kanna Tanaka - Ayame Daichi - UA Class 1A
Interactions/Mentions: Various/all
With the first field studies out of the way and a couple more weeks of time passing, Class 1A was reunited full time again at least as the outside situation seemed to deteriorate a little more, each group had seen mixed success but had overall completed the missions given to them, some were wounded, some were just fine. A few had seen death and a few had a good time... Relatively speaking at least.
As the classes of the day winded down for the day an announcement would come across the speakers, the gruff voice of the principle speaking loud and clear to just class 1A.
"Attention class 1A, this is headmaster Yamagata speaking, today UA will be hosting it's annual Cultural Festival, if you signed on to host an event please be sure to check in with a member of the committee and be ready to have your booth or performance event ready to go. In addition we have decided to allow the event towards the general public and you are allowed to invite a.. friend to attend the festive with you. As a reminder your very own Kanna Tanaka is on the committee and will be hosting a miniature shrine for wishes and charms, so if you wish to make final checks do so with her. Please be on your best behavior and I wish to say your performance in your field studies and training was very good and befitting of UA, you gave your all and for that you should not feel ashamed, but should any wish to speak the other staff and I are always on hand.
That is all."
Pressing the key off the principle had to make the rounds of the other classes as Ayame squeels a bit to go pounce on Kanna, using her as a stand. "Hiya! So you been busy with the committee thingy?"
"Hmm? Ah Ayame." Kanna says, placing her hand on the other's long fluffy tail before nodding in kind. "A little.. Still it's easier than our field study was." Ayame goes a little limp at that having heard the story as she climbs down.
"You're doing alright, yeah?"
"Haha.. Yes I am fine at least. But enough of that, you should come to my booth later on or did you decide to run something?"
Laughing at that Ayame rubs the back of her head, nodding in kind once more, side to side. "Nope. I'm more of the sort that wants to enjoy the festival than to play a part in running it."
Smiling thinly at that Kanna pats the other on the head, turning to face the rest. "Yes. That would suit you, though I don't recall who else, if anyone else was doing something, given how busy I've been. Fortunately for you the other classes have plenty of vendor stalls, games, a few crafts and performances. So you should have little troubles finding something to do. Ah, speaking of, will you be wearing a Kimono?"
"Hmm, Maybe, haven't decided for sure yet, would be fitting for the festival but seems like a hassle to put on you know?" Ayame answers.
Nodding in turn Kanna turns to face the rest of the class once more, seeing if anyone did have final arrangements in terms of a stall or performance.
Grudge rose a hand from where she had them folded to curl her fingers in a wave to the few who were leaving. Then she turned her attention back to the three in front of her, eyeing all of them.
The first to speak was a very small girl with a vibrant aesthetic that bled into her choice of costume. She was definitely a foreigner, and despite looking like she was out of the Mary Poppins film, Grudge knew she was strong from the tournament. Telekinesis was a strong quirk, and while the girl hadn't seemed to start training it until recently, it was still fairly advanced. Plus the girl had a head on her shoulders, it seemed.
The next Grudge had also seen in the tournament. Her quirk was interesting, though more of a support or precision-based quirk. She was tall, fairly mature-looking for her age and rather… Well-developed. Corvidae, or Octavia. She was also a foreigner and appeared somewhat nervous, or excited. One of the two.
Third was the dragon boy. He had faced off with Kanna during the tournament and goaded the girl into a mental state that gave Grudge flashbacks. His quirk was very interesting, being both powerful and versatile. He also, unlike the others, had a question, though it wasn't what the woman expected. If it weren't the mask, the woman's deadpan would've been obvious.
"It can be difficult… We collaborate at times but often we have different focuses or work at different periods… As for family, I had to take time off when I had Aurora. That much was unavoidable… There's always a worry, I think, when you're a hero. Most villains aren't so coordinated or vengeful, just criminals with their own goals… That seems to be changing as time goes on. Either way, it's something that you'll have to manage," Grudge explained best she could, though the question caught her off guard. "Anymore questions?"
This time, Charlotte raised a hand. "What will we be doing for the field study?"
"Unlike your mentorships, the point of a field study is to get you actual experience. Usually it's restricted to third years and exemplary second years. So, I will be drilling you all, however you will also be patrolling with me and arresting villains when there's a report," Grudge replied.
"Thank you for your insightful answer," Jet respectfully responded as he listened to her answer to smug's question. It would seem this training regiment would be in combination with real world acts. It was exciting to say the least, but their was now another question that needed answering
"As far as our own actions will be acting on our own judgement or following orders like a unit," Jet asked Grudge.
Octavia raised her hand after Jet asked his question when she had the opportunity. "Will you sign my Ultra rare Grudge card after this? Please?"
"A mixture. What I say goes, however you will be operating under a certain autonomy," Grudge answered once again before looking to one of the girls; the gifted one. That was also a question the woman hadn't been expecting. Looking at the small pink one who was trying to stifle a snicker, Takagi cracked a smile under the mask, though it couldn't be seen. "...That's fine… if you all can land a clean hit."
Stating that, the woman folded her arms as her hair began to separate into strands and flow as if possessed.
"Before patrol, I need to test your mettle. How well you do determines how much leash I'll give you."
"I see… welll then let's see how we handle a anti hero," Black Miasma chuckled putting on his hood as he took a single step behind Octavia out of Grudges sight as three mist tendrils shot around Octavia aiming to pin, and limit her movement. Behind her Jet began to collect a glob of mist into his hands as he whispered to Octavia.
"Switch behind me and get ready to counter."
She was ready to smile and thank Grudge until her hair separated and flowed. Oh dear, she always hated looking at Grudge's hair move around like that. It reminded her of a Nimbus x Grudge fan animation she saw that took… well, a turn you expected it to.
It was time for their test and Jet had given her instructions. Octavia sensed the tendrils and jumped in the direction of Jet's voice, getting behind him. She was ready to use either of her swords or sacrifice her birds and herself to give Jet and Charlotte the advantage.
"Um… Is defense truly our best play?" Charlotte inquired hesitantly as she watched the woman's hair begin to move.
"You don't quite have one in this situation, dear," Grudge replied with a light chuckle. Though it didn't look apparent with most of her hair reaching down to the floor at this point, a clump of hair dug into the ground and traveled towards their position out of sight.
Charlotte frowned a bit at that, though remarked nothing else. Instead, she wondered why the woman wasn't attacking. Growing suspicious, her xray activated and she scanned the area around the woman, finding an odd movement underground. Smirking a bit, Charlotte took hold of the strand, tilting it up a bit and yanking it forward. The clump speared out of the ground a few meters ahead of them, pulling Grudge but a step forward as the woman maintained her stance.
"Hah… So that won't work, good instincts, though you'll have to be faster next time," Grudge hummed in observation, the spear of hair yanking back from Charlotte's grasp quite easily. As it returned, the clumps of hair separated and dug themselves into the ground, used as legs to launch the woman forward at the group. As she approached, Grudge's figure seemed to curl into a ball as the hair surrounded her. Some poked outwards across its surface, making the harmless sphere far more dangerous to take a hit from.
In response Jets spires burst into mist again reforming in front of the three. With a purple ramp to redirect Grudge to the right side of the field Jet puffed out some more mist creating two marbles one each latching to his shoulder blades. "Then let's make sure she can't attack. I assume that umbrella isn't for show correct," Jet responded to Charolette as he charged forward climbing up one of the warehouse giving chase to Grudges death ball as he fired off a trail of mist. Moving the dark source forward readying to use it above of Grudge in response to how she countered the girls attacks.
With Fosc taking flight and getting a look from all angles, Octavia got a general idea of what was happening and what they could do about this. She could certainly ready her blade and see about cutting some hair, or use her taser so get control over the Pro Hero. She just needed to be careful and be ready to dodge when the time inevitably came for it.
She had her own plan, but there wasn't much she could do at the moment without risk of injuring Jet as well. So Octavia would have to wait. She clicked her tongue a few times to get a read of the current surroundings, then paused to listen to what would happen next.
"It's reinforced for defense mainly and weighted, but I don't think you should expect it to be a trump card," Charlotte replied to Jet.
As Grudge tumbled towards the ramp, one of the spikes stuck her to the side and the ball uncurled. Seamlessly, her hair unraveled and sat the woman on the side of makeshift ramp, one leg over the other as she stared down at the three.
"Ah, did my husband make that for you?" The woman inquired simply, as if wholly unconcerned with Jet's mist encroaching on her. She glanced up at the grouping of it, waiting for an opening. "That is a unique quirk, but can it break through the line?"
Saying that as if in challenge, the woman's hair coiled around her again, forming a narrow dome around her person as if goading an attack.
At first Jet seemed prepped to move forward with his attack upon Takagi's taunt however his distraction had worked.
"She's all yours," Jet called out as with a simple moment of concentration the ramp turned back into mist destroying Takagi's footing causing the dome to fall. As the mist collected onto her hair seeping into the dome prompting his allies a attempt to attack her… until out of the blue it suddenly stopped, and dispersed. What followed would be the sound of blood spurting out of Jets mouth as a tentacle had stabbed through his body. Having been concentrating on Grudge, Jet had barely any time to respond to whoever was behind. In fact the only warning he had was the sudden vibration on the warehouse ceiling. Having turned around he had in fact barely moved enough to avoid a majorly worst injury.
"Hmm not bad you couldn't dodge but you made sure I didn't hit anything vital. You little ones are improving fast," an all too familiar voice hummed in glee at the four as Mauve Stinger made her presence known. With a rough tug Jet was thrown away out of sight from the girls view as she casually walked to the edge of the warehouse eyeing The Grudge specifically.
"Honestly it's always so hard deciding which of you two I should kill first in these moments. I just can't decide who it would be more fun to watch go insane you, or your husband," Mauve sung gleefully with insanity trickling out of her words so naturally it could send a shiver down one's back. Though most would see it pointless to taunt Grudge, Mauve herself being so involved with the current Tens past. Well it went without saying her words had a bit more effect especially with how close she had gotten to killing quite a few of them.
"Oh, and do join in little ones she gets worked up rather easily with me. I mean how many times have I harmed your little hubby now, or your daughter for that matter," she sickingly enjoyed thinking about as her more hazardous acid covered tendrils oozed out of her back.
"By all means how about you three join me up here," Mauve patiently waited. With her directly between the girls and wherever Jet had landed it was clear there was no choice in the matter. The only positive was Jets mist cloud above was still active meaning he was alive, and conscious at least.
Takagi's hair would spike into the ground as the mist below her disappeared. As she heard the unsettling noise and gazed upon the source, her eyes widened a bit behind her mask before narrowing and growing cold. She dropped herself to the ground and a large strand of her hair shot out to grasp Jet from the air, plucking him from his trajectory and pulling the boy to her.
Most of her hair returned to normal length as Grudge caught Jet in her arms, save for a clump of hair that coiled itself around his torso. Severing it with her nails, the hair would act as a makeshift bandage to slow the bleeding for the moment. As she set him down, the woman then stood forward.
"You two are on defense and support. Help keep the boy safe and when I give you an opening, you run." The woman's voice was cold and stern, as if giving little room for argument as her hair began to wave as it had in the beginning. Grudge didn't have time to explain it to any of them, but she hadn't taken back what she said earlier about treating them as heroes. The issue with Mauve wasn't her quirk or combat level, though those were indeed threats in and of themselves. The problem was the villain's regeneration which Grudge could not quell. Mauve likely targeted Jet purposefully as the effects of his quirk on her regeneration wouldn't be obvious as of yet. "You keep running your mouth about attacking my family, yet all I'm hearing is that you're on a massive failure streak."
Following her retort, Grudge's hair would shoot into the ground before launching her forward to close the distance. Once closer, her hair would split into clumps, striking and slicing at Mauve, targeting her tentacles in particular to keep her from gaining too much range.
Charlotte for her part stared in horror as Jet was struck, turning around to face the woman. Her expression showed fear, similarly to when she fought Kiyoshi, though this was different. Mauve was a known villain. Still, the young girl's face shifted into one of focus. Charlotte was determined not to freeze up again.
"Support… That's fine," Charlotte murmured as she focused her telekinesis on Mauve. Utilizing the technique shown to her by Tempest, Charlotte grasped Mauve ever so carefully, just so that Chevalier could react if the woman decided to swap focus from Grudge to one of them. Now there was just the matter of Mauve. Charlotte wasn't interested in running. They just needed something to damper the regeneration. "Octavia… You got some gadgets too, didn't you? Does that give off electricity?"
Octavia's crow had seen the strike on Jet and for a moment, a part of her felt ill. Her first instinct was to rush and grab him, but this villain could easily take her out of the sky… She could play defense, definitely, but… she couldn't help but wonder what Charlotte had in mind for her. It seemed the girl was already thinking of something to do.
"Yes. A powerful taser and electricity conductor." She quietly said, one hand gently brushing the grip of the sword that did what she explained. "The other is meant for cutting and applying anesthesia."
"I am not out," Black Miasma growled, getting back on his legs as his fellow students tried to advise a plan. The chest wound was definitely a major issue as he could feel it with every movement, but her could still act as support.
"Really then why are you rushing in as usual," Mauve retorted as Takagi got a few of her tentacles threatening to experience pain as acid droplets sprayed out from the sliced limbs. With a ballerina like twist Mauve countered Grudges charge with a kick to the woman's face as tentacle and hair clashed.
The kick collided with Grudge's mask, cracking it a bit, though the heroine didn't seem taken aback or staggered by it. Rather, Takagi seemed to take the hit head on and bulldoze through it. Her nails extended and sharpened, becoming razor sharp blades as she sliced at Mauve's leg since it was now in such an easy position to strike.
"I'm content to make sure you continue that losing streak," Grudge replied in a cold hum.
Charlotte nodded toward Octavia, but looked back to Jet who was seemingly too stubborn to stay down. Grudge had bandaged his wound how she could, but the wound was still pretty grievous.
"Jet!" Charlotte began to advise him before stopping herself, knowing that he wouldn't take advice to sit out of the fight. "...You can support, but stay down and focus on stopping blood loss. Fire would be better, but electrical burns should work all the same. Burnt cells can't regenerate. If we can even slow her regeneration for a bit, chasing her off should come fairly easy."
Upon Grudges attack Mauve could feel the telekinetic force coming from Charlotte with a appeased smile her slashed leg bent wrapping around Grudge and her now melting hair ends as she swung up twisting both woman in the air as a nastier looking tentacle slashed through Chevaliers clothes pinning itself into the ground past the kids as both adult were violently tugged hurtling towards them. In what could only be described as a violent ball spraying out red,and blue blood as hair and tentacles clawed at each other Jet's own clawed hand slashed the pinned tentacle disorienting the two women out of projection.
"She's aiming to use us as distraction… clear to say," Jet growled. "My cloud's still in play. I can cover you with my mist so Mauve can't see you in the sky, but your going to have to leave me behind for it to work," Jet spoke, pointing out how moving him would make it too hard for him to concentrate on the cloud cover.
As the two woman hit the ground hard the femme fatale pushed off each other Mauve spinning gracefully to a halt with only one for on the ground the other ready to strike.
"I wouldn't call it a losing streak really what's the fun in killing one's opponent right off the bat. Better to learn as much as possible from them to improve one's self. Though I wonder if your little tin can girl be ready to fight her long lost auntie," Mauve hummed maliciously hinting at a horrendous act soon to take place.
"To bad mommy and daddy won't be able to stop the damage no matter how that turns out," she cryptically spoke as her tentacles started to grow in larger numbers.
"Though let's be honest I would be more concerned about if your husband will survive his visitor today," Mauve soothingly sung.
Octavia, while she was familiar with echolocation herself, it was more difficult for her to accomplish such a thing as a crow. The cawing would help, but the singing of multiple birds would confuse her. Shit…
But, she had to try.
"One more thing Charlotte-"
Octavia had wanted to tell her her electric sword did not have an unlimited electric supply, but just like that Charlotte's clothes had been sliced and the tentacle was quickly slashed by Jet. Octavia scowled but she readied her taser.
"Please defend me if push comes to shove." Octavia told Charlotte before running forward. In a split second, she was now a crow, carefully navigating herself through the mist to try and get close enough to Mauve.
The head, the spine, or the chest. If Octavia could strike any of these with her taser then Grudge would be able to take her down much easier.
"Right of the bat? You do realize it's been over twenty years?" Grudge questioned though soon her gaze narrowed at the cryptic words. Auntie? Was she talking about Shiori? Or perhaps… "If you want someone to react to what you're saying, you should learn to speak in plain speech."
Grudge's hair spread out in a similar fashion to Mauve's tentacles. Her bodysuit was decayed in various places, revealing skin around her shoulders, torso, abdomen, legs and back. Her mask was cracked and the visible skin appeared much the same.
"You run your mouth a lot but all that comes of it is nonsense." Once again the woman charged, leaving the students to their own devices. By this point Grudge knew they weren't planning on running, but they had fought villains before. If they were fighting Mauve by themselves, it'd be a worry, but with her to take the aggro they should be relatively safe.
Charlotte felt the incoming attack thanks to her telekinesis. Sensing the direction the tentacle was headed, the girl curved her body and bounced out of the way, successfully evading it though at the cost of her leotard covering her midriff.
She looked to Octavia as she flew off, nodding a bit. If push came to shove, Charlotte could use her quirk more directly on Mauve. Considering the villain's gelatinous nature, it wasn't likely to harm her but it sure enough should disrupt an attack.
"Oh but what fun is there in that," Mauve sang in appreciative vigor as Mauve, and Grudge threw terrifyingly dangerous attacks, and skillful counters at each other. As their extra appendages acted and appeared like blades at the speeds they were going made it clear the danger of the students getting in the middle of this cat fight.
As Octavia charged into the cloud Jettitare kept an eye on the fight. His own wound burning with his frustration on the mere fact he could move in time to dodge. However…
"Charlotte I need you to get me closer to the fight."
"What?" Charlotte turned to look at him with wide eyes. "Jet I'm not sure I can cover you, Octavia and myself all at the same time, and the closer we all get to the villain the less time I'll have to react. What are you planning?"
"Throw me at her then right as Octavia strikes… think about it. Why didn't she strike Grudge first? Why waste a sneak attack on a lesser experienced hero," Jet pointed out coughing a bit on the process. He turned to her as he took a breath in dispensing some mist.
"My mist is a plasmid substance, and I have a feeling it can probably fuck up her regen factor if I can get it on her wounds… unless you have a better idea?"
"I…" Charlotte paused. If Jet's substance was something like that, then it could indeed dampen the villain's self-mending properties in theoryl. However, there was still the fact that Charlotte would have to micromanage Jet, Octavia and herself. Still, what else could they do? "Alright… I should be able to predict if Mauve targets any of you anyway."
"Just remember you're a target too," Jet spoke as he prepped to be thrown waiting for Octavia to strike.
Octavia had been navigating the mist carefully all the while keeping a rapid flight pace. There didn't seem to be any signs of detection coming from Mauve; she seemed far too engrossed with her battle with Grudge to notice the little bird sneaking up on her.
She reformed only when she was behind Mauve and close enough for her electric sword to be in reach. WIth a strong charge crackling around the baton, Octavia thrust the sword forward at Mauve's spine to try and incapacitate her. If anything, she hoped it would at least mess up her movements.
What happened was at the movement of execution Mauve twisted backwards catching the sword as the electricity surged wildly into her gelatinous form, her tentacles latched onto Takagi sharing the electrocution experience with her as Octavia drained the battery into the attack. With burning globs springing ooze out of her hands the damaged Mauve threw Octavia's and her sword at Takagi using it as a distraction as three tentacles shoved into Octavia and rammed her into the pro hero buying them forward through the mud as she pulled back her tentacles.
"Well change of plan Chevalier we're running defense," without much thought to his own wound and blood seeping through the bandages he charged forward as the mist cloud came down hiding Grudge, and Octavia. Giving them a chance to recover Jet jumped in the two marbles on his shoulders bursting into life his Vibranium cutter technique. With one slash he could pollute her body with his plasmic mist and with enough he could render her useless maybe. Problem was as he closed in she simple smiled and shot twelve tentacles or not for him, but for Chevalier each attacking at a different length and angle.
Instantly as Octavia was caught in her grasp, a large portion of Grudge's hair wrapped around her to shield the girl as they were shoved back. She noted a black mist covering them and clicked her tongue as she watched Jet charging in. The woman's hair untangled around Octavia, spinning the girl unravel behind the hero's back as her hair shot out to slash at the tentacles.
"Don't just run in!" Charlotte called out with a huff. She prepared to grab Jet and pull him back, but then once again the villain's extremities were sent out and Charlotte could feel exactly where they were going. Grudge had apparently seen it as well and tried to cut down on the tentacles, but there were still multiple to deal with. Charlotte hopped into the air, bobbing and weaving through the barrage, though scraping through on a few points. Namely she was now lacking a sleeve and the thigh of her pants was singed. However, as she reached some height in the building, Charlotte released a telekinetic push against Mauve that would hopefully pin her to the ground and allow a direct hit via Jet.
"Gnh!"
Her electricity had done damage, but not enough for Mauve to go down. In an instant she was attacked, the force of the tentacles knocking the wind out of her and tossing her at the Pro Hero. She was able to recover, but there wasn't too much charge left in her battery. Maybe enough for a small tase, but nowhere near enough the power she had had originally.
Octavia couldn't stop there. She would need to get closer again… her bird trick was the only way, but there was no guarantee that she would be successful in attacking again.
That didn't mean she couldn't work as a distraction.
"I'll work as a distraction, teacher." She quietly told Grudge. "It doesn't matter if I'm taken down if it means you can incapacitate her."
With that, Octavia erupted into a flock of birds and flew quickly from multiple directions towards Mauve. A choir of crows came from each bird, dodging and weaving the tentacles. Each bird that was taken out was quickly replaced by another. Octavia wasn't going for the kill, as noted by the crows going to attack Mauve's face and body, with each bird cawing as loud as they could. Octavia was doing her best to blind and deafen the villain so that her comrades could finish things.
The kids were fast, and responsive as Mauve Stinger was met with a trifecta assault starting with the kinetic blast that had reached her from Charlotte that broke her guard. Which was then followed up by a flurry of crows that struck from all angles blinding her as Jet closed in, slashing into his opponent opening up her gelatinous body with multiple lacerations . At first it seemed like the day would be one with one last attack as Jet emitted his mist out aiming to take control of Mauve's body. Unfortunately Mauve was just one single step ahead as Charlotte's concentrated attack allowed one tentacle to sneak up, and grab the girl's foot, tugging her violently towards the fight. In tandem upon the end of Octavia's attack she would feel her body grasped at its moment of reform as the two girls were both used like battle rams smashing into Jet's already rather wounded body into a Dark Matter sandwich. Though the girls would be alright it being more so just brunt damage Jet himself would cough up so serious blood as his body finally seized up to his fatal wound dropping him like a fly instantly smacked down.
With one impressive jump back Mauve could be seen smiling with joy.
"Oh oh oh you're getting way better almost exactly what's needed for the road ahead," she turned to Grudge raising a finger before she could attack again.
"Ah ah ah better get that boy to the infirmary sweety we can finish this vendetta later," she smiled viciously knowing as much as a headhunter Grudge was she was a massive softy just like her husband when it came to kids. With a single step back it wouldn't though what Grudge chose to do as Mauve was now over a drain pipe.
"Keep getting stronger kids, you're what's going to be replacing the fallen system soon after all," she said mysteriously as she became an entangled glob of water falling into the drain out of sight, and almost instantly out of mind.
"Yes, yes, run away again," Takagi growled under breath. As the villain moved to escape, Grudge ran over to the heroes in training to address their injuries. The worst of all of it was Jet, though thankfully the woman's quirk wasn't useless when it came to patch-job first aid. It wasn't professional, but it would keep him stable for Grudge to escort the children to a hospital. They would all survive and continue the field study, but the mood would become significantly more daunting than before.
Kanna Tanaka - Ayame Daichi - UA - Main Field
Interactions/Mentions: Various/all
As the day progressed into ever growing hours of the day, Kanna had only one event from her class, Isamu wanted to run a maid and butler café. It was a simple enough request and seemed safe enough, so she presented him with a number of passes in order to 'hire' other classmates. Wearing a more formal version of her standard attire she did not expect to have any freedom till the night. Marking down on a forum, the festival would have no shortage of food and games. Yakitori, Ikayaki, Karaage, Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki, Yakisoba, corn and meat sticks were on hand at various stalls from the business class. On the sweeter side of things Cotton Candy, Yakisoba, Okonomiyaki, shaved ice, taiyaki and crepes were on hand. Tea's and Vendor stalls and Ramune. Her own class were mostly sticking to teas and a simple fair from what she could see of the maid café menu, crepes were from them as well.
Among the games there was a gold fish scoop, dart board and ring toss among other assorted games. There was no shortage of things to do or people to see, in fact a few traditional music performances were planned as well.
Lastly for herself Kanna had set up a Torii, a gateway to the shrine, with a small basin to wash ones hands, there were two fortune events on hand. The first was Omikuji, sticks of paper in a drawer, upon drawing one, it would give a fortune, in the case of a bad fortune there was a small potted tree and twist tie strands to connect the bad ones on, while a good one was tobe kept. The second was Ema, boards that had the drawing of a horse or other figures, one was to write their wish on the backside of it, then hang it upon the wall. The Miko would later burn these and the bad wishes in a ceremony to send them to the Shinto Gods and Spirits. Standing beside her donation booth, Kanna keeps arms in sleeves waiting to see who would be first to come.
~~
Elsewhere Ayame would get ready for the festival, changing into her Kimono after some depressive thought. Mostly about the poor tastes males of her class had in terms of dates, what few that asked anyone at least or bemoaning that her family and the sidekicks wouldn't be able to come given how busy they were. Overall that had made her a bit sad, but she wasn't about to waste her time sitting in Isamu's café. While she did want to see it and maybe get something to eat, his love of the false panda's meant she would not work in servitude towards him. All together she decided to wear her Kimono to prove that she was just as pretty as any of her classmates with her own Japanese charm.
That and she was wanting to get as much snacks and food as she could sneak back as possible.. Still that didn't matter much as Ayame pauses in front of a map of the event layout. Kanna's was towards the end, while Isamu was towards the middle, otherwise all manner of stalls were sprawled out here and there and the weather was a little on the cool side with a nice clear sky, the only way it could be perfect is if snow were on the ground.
It was the day of the festival and a rare break from training for Masaru. He may have lightened up a bit after his talk with Airi, but the ice user was still under the impression that he had screwed around far too much. After the event with the wolf and the other gravity controller, he was redoubling his efforts to train. Still, if he passed up the cultural festival, he knew what he wouldn't hear the end of it from Airi. He'd promised to spend the day with her, though Masaru wasn't sure how much of that promise he'd end up regretting considering what the girl told him to wear.
Looking in the mirror, he was dressed head to toe in black and white. He was wearing some slacks, black dress shoes with a matching black belt. Tucked under was a white button-up dress shirt mostly covered by a grayish vest and black overcoat. Finishing the outfit was an ebony tie tucked into the vest. His hair wasn't so much styled as just combed back.
Masaru wasn't sure why he needed to be so formal, or at least, was questioning of why if formal was the game she didn't choose a kimono? Either way, she told him formal and he still had to make up for ghosting her. It couldn't be that bad. All he had now was to meet her at the classroom.
Leaving the confines of the dorms, Masaru would make way across the grounds, idly glancing at the various stalls and people walking around. As he did so, he noticed a familiar set of ears and a tail in a kimono. He wasn't as close with the panda as some of his other peers, but he still stuck to himself for the good part of two weeks. He still partially was, at least now he was actually approachable.
"Hey Ayame," Masaru greeted. "You look nice. Enjoying the festival?"
It was small talk, but still Masaru felt he should try to be a bit more social. Since he was still going to be off on his own for the most part, the least he could do was keep up a conversation in situations like this. Besides, Airi's words still hung in his mind that he should make the best of things while he still could. There wasn't much telling of what the future held.
Twirling in her room, Charlotte admired her work. The neapolitan-haired girl was clad in a monochromatic maid costume. The outfit seemed to be made of a white frilly top with puffy sleeves that only reached the beginning of her biceps and a short frilly skirt that leaved an opening in its torso for the white top to go through. She wore a small black bow tie and a half-apron was tied around her waist. She had long black leggings that reached up to her mid thighs and black matching heels. To finish the outfit, her hair was tied in twin tails with white scrunchies holding them instead of a single white headdress as was typical.
Smiling in satisfaction, the girl didn't waste any time heading to the classroom, eager to see what kind of reaction she would get out of Isamu. She didn't take much convincing to be apart of the maid cafe. To her, it sounded like fun and gave her an excuse to dress up a bit. Airi was supposed to be apart of it as well, and the two of them managed to rope Masaru in as well. Truly, it was his fault for keeping his head dug into the ground. If he was going to be so out of the loop, they might as well take advantage of it.
Reaching the room, Charlotte slid the door open and peaked inside, making her way to the makeshift "kitchen" immediately, looking beyond the room divider to search for the cook.
"Bonjour~ I know I can't be the only one here."
Yosuke was at a loss for words. How could he have been so blind! So careless! Now, caught in a hall that nobody ever came down, he was staring down a man whom he had done terrible, terrible things to.
Yosuke was mortified. But not because he was scared for his life or his well-being. He was scared for his innocence. For the man who confronted him was far more terrifying than any villain or monster. For the man who stood before him had fallen to his magic touch.
"O-Oh, uuuh… Hey there, um… Elijah was it?... How's it going? Glad to see your… Alive…"
Octavia always took this path towards the music room, because it was the least populated which made it less likely that she would run into anyone. Aside from that, it was a bit of a shortcut, shortening the amount of time it took to get there from the girls' dorm by 10 minutes. Today, she was particularly inspired and wanted to be in the music room, however, a little conversation between a boy she knew and another had her...curious.
She hid around one of the walls, and using her finger as Fosc's little perch, the purple crow stuck his little bird head around the wall and peeked at what was going on.
Elias had Yosuke against the wall, his hand next to the pink haired boy's head in a kabedon fashion. A cheshire like smile graced his lips as his pale gray eyes met Yosuke's blue ones.
"You don't remember?" He asked, his smile never leaving. "I'm hurt, Yosuke. Someone like you, doing something like that to me, then forgetting my name? Oh, I'm so wounded… But I can forgive you just this once. It's Elias. If you forget again, I might not let you off so easy."
It was then he addressed the last of Yosuke's sentence, "Alive. Heh, I've never felt more alive than I did after that battle. You reached all the right places; just thinking about it sends shivers down my spine. How'd you know what a man likes, hm?"
He couldn't see in the middle of the fight. He just needed the key. The happenstance was just more in the favor of Elias. He was backed in a corner, and Elias was far stronger than him. "I-I swear that was not intentional. I was more concerned with getting your key from you. That's all. Like. Really that's all. Not even getting hearted would have changed that."
He looked around, trying his best to find an out. Anything. Everything. He had managed to escape him until now, but Elias finally had him cornered. Unfortunately for him, he couldn;t spy the purple-haired beauty just behind the corner
""I swear I didn't mean to fingerfuck you." Heh, my ex said the same thing. Swore to every religious book out there he was straight, until he got a piece and never looked back."
Elias's face seemed to come in just a bit closer, his predatory gaze staring into Yosuke as if the boy could see into the other's soul.
"No straight man can finger another man's body like that unless he's a doctor or he's got experience. You don't look like you've got a PhD to show me so that narrows it down, hmm?" Elias asked him, his smile never leaving as he spoke to the other male. "Besides, your fingers had no business going near my backdoor when the key was under Alpha and Omega." It didn't take a genius to understand what he meant by "Alpha and Omega." "C'mon Yosuke. Where'd you learn to hit all the right buttons? You can tell me; I spread legs, not secrets."
"I-..." What was he supposed to say? This was a madman, a person for whom reason wouldn't work with. "I-..." He continued to stammer out, his pupils beginning to dilate, looking more and more like a stray cat backed into a corner trying to fight for his life. His breath was getting ragged, and at this rate, he felt his bubblegum hair might even be greying. Anything can work right? Think, fool, think!
"I got to take a shit!"
It was the first thing that came to mind. It was a panicked and desperate cry, as he struggled against his assailant (who now knew better than to leave him the use of his deft hands).
Elias waited patiently for Yosuke to answer him. A feline cat trapping the poor innocent mouse, with nowhere to go but to obey the commands of the hunter. He almost felt sorry for Yosuke, but he needed to know where such a cute boy had so much fingerfuck experience. If there was a chance for Elias to feel that nice wave of pleasure he felt at the end of the battle, then he wanted to get it.
But then Yosuke spoke, and for a moment, Elias's smile fell to a frown. His eyebrows had lifted in surprise and he blinked at the other male, the events computing in his head.
Did he really just say that?
After the words registered, Elias's smile returned and the boy was laughing softly. "Do I scare you that much, Pinky? I promise I won't hurt you, if you promise you'll hurt me~ Or we can keep things vanilla as you said you liked it."
Elias's thumb and index finger curled around Yosuke's chin, grabbing it and gently shaking the other's head a bit. "You need to work on your lying skills, cutie. It's pretty damn nonexistent if "I gotta shit" is the best you can do."
Before he could do more, footsteps were approaching and suddenly, a pair of fingers grabbed Elias by the ear and tugged him back enough to let Yosuke be free.
"I told you not to violate the Finger boy from the fight!" Hinata scolded the taller boy, holding Elias by the ear with his other hand on his hip.
"It was just a little talk, cutie." Elias responded with a smile and shrug. "I can't talk to people without you getting jealous?"
Hinata let go of the other boy's ear, knowing full well that pain didn't work on Elias, then turned his gaze to Yosuke with an apologetic smile. "I'm really sorry about him. He managed to sneak away from me and I just now found him! I'll do better that he doesn't try to, er, "get the magic touch" from you again, just please don't send him to the Counselor! The poor guy is so sick of him."
"No promises about the magic touch~" Elias winked at Yosuke with a lick to his lips. "Tch, the Counselor is weak. Can't handle a little flirting."
Hinata looked at his friend with an angry pout that was more adorable than threatening. "Because you're a teenager saying such lewd things to him! The Counselor is gonna need his own Counselor if you keep it up!"
Elias grinned, "So should I wait a few years?"
"...Yes." Hinata finished, then turned back to Yosuke. "He wasn't too weird with you, was he?"
Yosuke was stunned, and honestly relieved that the feminine looking boy (named Hinata it seemed) came to his rescue. He quickly backed off as far as he could, still talking almost across the hall. "Nope. Not going to do that. Very much not doing that. I regret many things." He said to Elias, trying to be blunt again but knowing it wouldn't work. When Hinata asked if he was being too weird, Yosuke stopped in his tracks, mostly because he had no clue how to respond. Yes. Yes he was. How else had he been acting.
"Uh… I mean. I suppose he's no weirder than usual." Which was not a complement. "Now then, if you don't mind, I'm going to go… To the bathroom." Yosuke then proceeded to walk in the opposite direction of the bathroom.
However, he was finally free and that was what he cared most about. As he turned the corner, he closed his eyes and put his head in his hands. Well. That was the goal at least, instead planting into Octavia, who had been secretly listening this whole time letting out a long and pained groan. Not quite realizing that he had done so.
Yosuke, leaving behind a chuckling Elias and a dejected Hinata, would bump into Octavia. The purple haired girl looked in his general direction with a knowing smile, and the bird looked straight at him. She helped the other regain his composure, then giggled.
"Lover's quarrel, Yosuke?" She asked him. "I had no idea you did something so lewd to win a fight. I understand winning no matter what, but I didn't think you'd take it that far~"
Yosuke's elongated groan quickly shifted to a dreadful death rattle as he raised his head up seeing Octavia's lavender eyes gazing back at him, and her mouth curled in a slight mocking smile.
He had been working so hard to keep Jett from mouthing off about what they had done in his testing chamber, and to quell any rumors. It had not been easy, and just as he had been caught off guard by Elias, he was caught off guard by his classmate.
"No, No I didn't do anything like that! The perv had the key stuck in his pants, all I was trying to do was grab the key. I did not derive joy from fingering the dude's butt."
Octavia tried to, but fighting back her giggle fit was almost downright impossible. It wasn't the idea that Yosuke had fingered another man; she'd written plenty of fanfictions involving Nova Master and Electros doing such a thing. It was Yosuke needing to do that to win his fight that really made it funny. Nothing worked, and in the end, Golden Finger had to resort to fingerfucking his opponent! A hilarious concept, no doubt~
"M-My apologies, dear." She smiled, "I'm not laughing at you, just the idea of it all. Joy or not, you still had your finger in there. Was his prostate healthy, Yosuke?" Octavia asked this question quietly before bursting into another fit of giggles. "Okay okay, that's enough. I'm sorry~"
"Oooooh of course, his prostate! How could I be so neglectful! You know, I think it may have to do with the fact that I was beaten to a bloody pulp by then." Yosuke wasn't entirely sure why this was getting to him so much. He had been called all sorts of things since the manifestation of his quirk. Why now was he having such a hard time playing along with all of these other jokes everyone was playing?
It was because he actually did it for once. His sexuality was pretty defined. Yosuke would only ever engage in such acts sensually in some crackpot literature that Octavia would create (not that he knew that), but regardless he actually had to do it then. He had gone further than he ever had with a guy. A guy who really made him want to scream for an adult, no less. And the worst part of it all was technically he was the molester in this situation, in spite of the fact that everything about the situation made him feel defiled.
"I'm not in the market for someone like him anyway." He tried deflecting with some coy banter, hoping it would soften the blow to his fragile sexuality in its current state
Octavia's giggle fits died down soon enough, a smile still gracing her lips as she reached over with one hand and gently ruffled Yosuke's hair. "My apologies, Yosuke. I promise I won't spread this information around or tease you about it too much if it truly does bother you." She assured him.
Octavia didn't want to become a bully after all, buuuuut she did say "too much". That didn't necessarily mean it was done for good. Not yet.
It was then she asked him, "What were you doing in this hallway, might I ask? People rarely use it, unless they have more… sexual plans."
He gave a sigh of relief when she said she wouldn't tell anyone. But the teasing… That stayed. "N-No, I was trying to avoid it actually. I actually usually come this way on the 3rd day of the week given that day comes on a prime day of the month, otherwise I walk through on the 5th day of the week and the 2nd day of the week, alternating between the two. I have contingency plans as well in case I come across him in other places. But it seems he somehow caught on to my pattern." It was clear he had given avoiding Elias a lot of thought. Too much is likely not the case, however.
"So… No. I'm not here for that. At least, I'm not here for him. Well what about you then? You here to meet some secret lover?"
Octavia looked at him, blinking a few times after hearing Yosuke's detailed and elaborate plan to avoid Elias as much as he possibly could. Well, that event certainly left a negative impression on the poor boy in front of her, hm? All the better to tease him with~
At the question, she shook her head gently. "No, nothing like that. This hallway is actually a shortcut to the music room; I was on my way there to do some singing and piano practice until I encountered what was happening here. I couldn't have chosen a better time~ An unrequited romance, quite unfortunate for Elias. If only he had been a woman, yes?" She asked Yosuke, wondering if her friend would have actually dated someone like Elias if he had been a girl.
When Octavia called him out he at first looked back at her with a look of annoyance, not really appreciating being interrogated like this. "Well isn't that easy to say!..." But he started thinking about it a little bit more. He remembered the day that he went out with them to the mall. How he tried to hit on some random girl they had just met. That wasn't the usual for him. He was never timid, but flat out hitting on girls? That wasn't normally something he did. He squatted down, pressing his back to the wall.
"Well… I don't know if the situation would be quite the same. I'm still a little uncomfortable about what happened there. It's weird to have… well I hate to call it violating, but… Well you get what I mean. It's even weirder when the person you violated is now seeking more of it from you…"
He finally fully sat down, at this point just speaking everything related to this ordeal at once. He didn't really expect to be venting like this right now. "Anyway, I don't know if being a girl would change that, but it being a guy definitely hasn't helped I think. I must have been hoping I could try and prove I can appeal to girls too, I mean… I hit on some wolf girl! We both saw her, she was definitely a little crazy wasn't she? Like tear your throat out crazy." Yosuke laughed a bit. "I mean I was that desperate! She wasn't even my type!."
Octavia looked at him, frowning a bit as Yosuke began to open up to her. She should cease the teasing for now since this is obviously bothering her friend. She carefully walked over, taking a seat right next to him so she could listen. It would at least tell Yosuke that she was willing to be an ear for his troubles if he needed one. Given this hallway was barely used, it meant that the two of them wouldn't be bothered.
"I see, and him pursuing you doesn't help." Octavia said more to herself than to Yosuke. "Though, I don't understand why you hope to prove your appeal. You're already attractive to women here. You've given no reason for anyone to question your sexuality; at least not to the extent of Ichirou and Masaru. Why did you feel the need to do so?" She asked him with a slight cock of the head.
Yosuke smiled and rubbed the back of his head when Octavia called him attractive. "Well thanks, that's really nice of you to say. But being told one thing just isn't the same as showing it. I mean, I fingered some guys butt before I ever even kissed a girl so I suppose there's some cognitive dissonance going on there."
He looked back her way, this time with a face a lot more determined and a confident grin spreading across. "I hardly do things to prove it to other people. I do it to prove it to myself. I'm so much harder to really impress that I can't stop for good enough. And I get that Ichirou and Masaru have the hots for each other and all, but I don't think they actually have a guy actively trying to fuck them. I know I don't need to prove to myself that girls can like me, but I can't help but do it for anything, as a matter of fact. It's become the same deal as beating people with stronger quirks than me. It's become a challenge."
She listened to each word he spoke, nodding her head a few times every once in a while to show him that she was acknowledging the information and he could continue. So it wasn't an attempt to prove his sexuality, but a pride thing? It didn't sound like a pride thing to Octavia but it was the first word that came to mind when she thought about it.
"I see. A continuous ambition that never ceases. It's admirable to continue to strive for the goals you set up for yourself, truly. But may I ask you something?" The question itself was rhetorical since she would have asked anyway.
"Does this need to challenge yourself ever make you exhausted? I once had your mindset during my youth. A constant need for perfection. The perfect octave, the perfect piano playing, the need to meet all of my requirements, then challenge myself further. It was fine in the beginning, but it wore me out mentally. I'm a bit jealous of you honestly."
Yosuke looked at her while she opened up a bit, sharing about her perfectionist attitude. He laughed, looking back, "Geez you make it sound like you're thirty years my senior. But it's nothing like that. I'm not looking for the perfect Yosuke. I'm just trying to be the best."
He looked back at her and stood up. "Well, I'd still appreciate if you kept this all quiet. It's just easier that way then to have to tell people I molested someone. Thanks for listening to me rant." He started walking away, but he turned around and said, "I'm not going to say perfect, cause no one is perfect, but as far as being the best, I think you're killing it… You know that didn't sound cool at all…"
By the end of Yosuke's words, Octavia was smiling and had a bit of a blush on her pale cheeks. Yes, she enjoyed this little conversation with Yosuke even though it was a bit brief, and truth be told, she'd rather this not end with them never speaking to one another again. Before he could go too far, she stood up and approached him, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"I understand what you mean, thank you Yosuke. Truly. It means a lot to hear it from someone who is doing great amongst the other students." She took back her hand. "One more thing. If you'd like assistance getting Elias off your backside, I would not be opposed to being your temporary girlfriend. If he can't take discomfort for an answer, then him believing you're in a relationship already should do the trick. Ah, but I suppose you'll need to get in touch with me somehow, hm?" Octavia asked, her smile never leaving.
In other words, "would you like my number."
It took Yosuke's primitive male brain a little while to comprehend everything that she had just offered, looking back at her and her dress and her long purple hair and lavender eyes and he remembered the scent of the hug he got the other day at the mall and he short circuited.
"I-uh-you-um-Yeah. Yeah that would work. Haha maybe we should Masaru and Ichirou on a double date!" He tired to deflect with humor. When she asked for a way to contact him, he pulled out his phone and brought up his number showing it to her. "So uh, you were heading to the music room? I guess I can walk you there."
She couldn't help but giggle at his reaction and at the joke, then made brief work of putting his phone number into her contacts then sent him a text so he had hers. There was mention of the music room, and she smiled at him. "Of course~ I enjoy your company."
He smiled. "Great! I guess we'll uh... Go that way then..." He said as they rounded the corner down the hall
Now settled in to the school festival, it was currently Yosuke's turn taking up shop in the cafe of Isamu's. He had procured a fine suite of his own. It was a white coat whose coat tails reached halfway town his legs. The buttons were golden, and his hair was neatly slicked back, rather than it's usual wild mess. He wore a light blue bow-tie as well, which matched his eyes. He looked over as Charlotte walked in and gave her a wave.
"Wow, pretty cute there Charlotte. I think the twin tails are a good like for you. If they didn't make you seem so innocent that is. He said in a teasing manner. Then he stood up showing off his own outfit to her.
"Honestly I think I look rather nice in formal clothing, wouldn't you agree?"
Though he said that, again out of jest, he was hoping she'd agree. Yosuke had actually put in quite a bit of effort into his outfit just now. He hadn't asked anyone out for the culture festival, but he thought maybe he could give it a shot. After their conversation in the hallway, Yosuke realized that Octavia was someone he wouldn't mind getting to know better. Honestly he didn't know much about her at all. But that was what today was going to be about. Operation: Octrivia!
Mimi, however was working in the back. She had arrived earlier and was helping set up, but she still hadn't said a single word since her arrival to the cafe, instead opting to make sure that everything was as it should be. This was something she was defintley invested in, and anyone looking at her could see the determination burning behind her eyes. Provided they knew where to look. Once she was finally all set up, she tied a bandana around her head to keep her hair, short as it may be, out of the food. She was dressed in very simple clothing, best for cooking.
However, she felt a little disappointed that she wasn't going to be dressed like the other girls. Charlotte looked so cute dressed up in her maid outfit, and so did Yosuke in his butler attire. Mimi gave some thoughts about the other boys in the class, but they were overshadowed by thoughts of the wolf boy and Jett dressed in the standard black butler suits. She was quickly snapped back into reality by the dinging of her timer, letting her know to check on some of the treats she had cooking.
Safe..." she sighed as she pulled out several red velvet cupcakes that she set to work on decorating with all kinds of pink sparkles and sprinkles.
Amaris Alucard
amaris recolor maid.png
Amaris had put much work into the cute kimono she had on until recently. She had spent the day with Ayame acquiring one and having it perfectly tailored. It was a precious thing with muted, but nice pastel reds, pinks, and maroons. The top had a floral pattern colored pastel pinks, and the lower half was a checkered pattern in maroon. But she had recently changed out of the kimono, and on into a maid outfit. This is now how she had been expecting to spend the festival, but when prompted, she had agreed to join the maid cafe. She was not really sure what had possessed her to agree, but it didn't really matter. Here she was now.
To think! Amaris! A maid! What would her mother think!?!? Ramiris, who had an entire Hero agency of maids. Her own socialite daughter -now a maid! She'd probably faint. But there she was. The pigtailed girl, standing there in the adorable, slightly racy maid outfit she now wore. Her dramatic mother couldn't know. To her, this was something new... like a... a new experience for Amaris!
She plucked at her short black skirt with the white apron in front of it, looking down at herself. The dark-haired girl thought back to all the maids who had been around her growing up, and how tough it was to put on this outfit. Hers was not even as in-depth as theirs had been. When absolute professionalism had been required of them. Well, it wasn't like Amaris had cared if they were absolutely professional, that was more a stipulation placed on them by her mother. Though, the girl did expect it. They were maids, they did as maids do with their superiors. Which only meant that's how it was for her today..! Oh, joy?
After inspecting herself, both as a curiosity, and as a way to make sure she was dressed in the outfit properly, the girl left the dressing area. She walked over to join Isamu and join the others, looking at the other maids. Charlotte was there. It seemed she was roped in to being a maido, too. And her appearance didn't look too far off from Amaris's; they could be maid sisters!
"Konnichhiwa, Issamu...-ssama. Isamu buchhou.. Reporting in.. uwu." the little maid vampire hissed in respectful greeting as she plucked the skirt again with her finger tips, in a courteous curtsy. A little light blush appeared on the apples of her cheeks. Her face scrunched up in a flustered state.
Huh?... Upon being called out, Ayame was a bit startled out of looking at the map, doing her odd bark sound as she was given to when startled, before seeing who it was, giving an exhale she should have known better. "Oh! Masaru! Hi!" Sticking her tongue out at him she smiles a bit before turning her attention towards him, looking him up and down she tilts her head a bit.
"Are you helping with the Maid and Butler café?" He was awfully well dressed..
"Ah, are you on a date here with Airi? You've been talking with her a bit lately since she came back." Oddly the girl had been transferred into 1B, but part of her was happy 1A seemed to be staying where it was, it was hard to keep up with all the goings and comings they had as of late, it also made it more difficult to dig up dirt or information. Information that was useful as in cases here, the small red panda girl would not get her hopes up over him. "Hmm...?"
"You look rather handsome yourself, though you need to try to smile a bit... or maybe not, you might have a scary smile!"
Swishing her tail back and forth as she hums before speaking out to answer his question.
"Weeeeeell Not yet, I mean I've just been looking at the map, I plan to play all the games for prizes and to stock up on wonderful snacks! Maybe find things that will last awhile and stash them in my climbing spots so others can't steal them from me!"
Jettitare & Sayuri
Tonight was leading up to being rather interesting a day before Isamu had come to plead for help over staffing for a cafe theme for the festival this year due to lack of butlers being the cause. While Jet was all for one for helping it turned out the dress code was rather strict causing him to eventually end up asking class 1C fellow hero in the works Seamstress Web for help for which she happily obliged into making him a rather well detailed outfit apparently based on some show called Black Butler…
Though at the moment that wasn't the main event tonight for the dragon butler he had invited his friend Sayuri to the event though the first half she would spend with Ayame, and then after the cafe he would spend the rest of the time with her to hang out. Though before all that he would walk her to the school to be safe with all the current happenings of the world going on. As Jettitare neared the given address he walked up to the door in his new outfit, and lightly knocked on the door awaiting the young woman.
"Oh? Why are you dressed as a butler, haha!" Sayuri says, smiling thinly as she answers the door in a Kimono, grey in color with a white trim and black belt, the bottom wasn't as long or as constricting as an overly formal one, but still to taste. "Haha, well you look nice at least, but doesn't suit you so well, mountain man." She says teasingly before collecting a purse. "I could have just met you at the school you know."
"Indeed it is very contrary to my style, but it is the requirement Isamu asked me to uphold," Jettitare explained as he held the door for her to exit before politely closing it. To be honest he would rather just use his hero outfit for this event, or his regular whereabouts but as he had said it was a necessary evil. He chuckled a bit at the mountain man comment.
"You look very nice as well. I believe I should take that as a compliment," he responded as he started to walk down the street with her.
"True, but as of late the world has been rather different, and I didn't want to chance something happening to you this late at night," he explained rather heightened as he listened to the winds making sure there were no abrupt changes.
"I hope I didn't make you wait long?"
"Nope, I keep myself busy, and don't worry too much about me, I have a lot of firepower yah know? Ah yeah! How do you want to go there? We could take a taxi, I can pay, you can just treat me to the festival if you want." She says, sticking her tongue out briefly as if to taunt him a little with a playful smile.
From there the two had a rather peaceful walk ending when they arrived with Sayuri meeting up with Ayame, and Jettitare arriving at the cafe upon entrance. He was definitely met with his classmates Masaru, and Charlotte right off the bat. Both were dressed up as well with the latter maybe a little overkilled in design.
"Ah Amaris how are you tonight," Jet called out, noting one of his friends as he walked over to her while she was addressing Isamu once he arrived he did his best attempt at a proper butler bow with his outfit following suit to Amaris's curtsy.
"Yosuke," Jet nodded to the pink hair hero, and official hero brother after their licensing bout. So much proven that Jet offered him a quick high five before turning to everyone else.
"You look ready to serve my fellow butler," Jet chuckled lightly as he noticed the bakers of the hour Isamu, and Mimi. Walking over he bowed again to the organizer of today's event, and the lead chef as he motioned to Mimi politely asking.
"So how may I serve you tonight," he asked, practicing his butler mannerisms up close with the two to make sure he had it down to the letter for the most part.
Aurora & Shiori
"Shiori do hurry up we are going to be late," Aurora called out as she finished the small touches to her steampunk themed maid outfit. She had rather been fond of the idea of dress up, but being a rather strong tomboy rarily dabbled in it. So Isamu's maid cafe was a good excuse to have some fun, and while she was at it she could hangout with her little auntie Shiori. Already at the doorway with the… ahem… totally not battle truck outside waiting the blonde tilted her head wondering what was taking Shiori so long.
"I-I'm coming!" Shiori called back nervously, the commotion that came inside the house only growing louder to signify that she was indeed approaching.
As she reached the door, one could see that the girl had decided on somewhat plain clothing. A black, thin sweater covered her chest, the V shape of the neckline coming down to show a far amount of skin were it not covered by the white blouse worn underneath. The blouse had a small, upturned collar and opened just enough to see the clavicle while sleeves were rolled up to her elbows. For bottoms, the girl chose some simple blue jeans, albeit ones that seemed to fit well enough to show off some of the curves she had. On her feet were some plain sneakers. It seemed Aurora wasn't the only one with tomboyish tendencies.
"Ryota was messing around in my room again… Sorry…" Shiori referred to her little brother with a sigh. "I can't believe I get to go to UA…! Thank you so much Aurora!"
"Of course anything for my little auntie," Aurora smiled as they exited the house not wanting to meet anymore distractions.
"So may I ask why the sudden desire to finally go? You have had numerous opportunities to show up at UA after all I mean do I live there currently?" Aurora asked curiously.
"Y-You don't have to call me that! I'm not a kid!" Shiori whined a bit. Aurora seemed to enjoy the oddity of being the same age yet also a niece.
Approaching the truck, Shiori paused a moment at Aurora's question. Having hit the nail on the head, the girl seemed particularly eager to just hop in the car. It wasn't as if she only wanted to go see it just now. She was always interested in it, just that she wasn't suited for it. This way at least, she could enjoy some of the school casually.
"Y-Yeah… I mean, it's the cultural festival isn't it? It's a huge event UA throws every year… W-Why do I need a sudden reason?"
"Well you're in a family whose primary income, and life is hero based two generations for that matter… so if I was to guess i bet you have a entrance exam paper ready to file to the school at any moment," Aurora took a pretty easy shot in the dark with her smile as she chuckled.
"I may not be around as much but grandpa Titan keeps me informed. I heard how you went ballistic for the first year tournament show," she added patting her niece with a giggle.
"I-I'm not enrolling in the school… And I didn't go ballistic! My arms transform whenever I get excited! You know that!" Shiori whined once again. "Besides, I'm not like you, or Papa, or Anego. Being a hero just doesn't suit me."
"Uh huh is that so. I also heard my name was chanted relentlessly when fighting Ichirou. Though I bet half that was grandpa to," Aurora chided gentle tilting towards her aunt with a devious smile. She was very well how Shiori was obsessed with the hero world hell the first time Shiori had seen Allo in his hero outfit up close she went insane and had to be yanked off him by Titan, and Grudge.
"You can definitely be a hero Shiori. You have the makings of greatness like me, mother, father, and grandpa," she spoke proudly of her aunt.
"You just have to take that first step. So I do have to handle Isamu's cafe event first so that you can go wild, or meet the rest of my classmates. But once the event is over I'll spend the rest of the night with you okay," Aurora smiled clearly wanting her aunt to have fun..
"E-Everyone was cheering for you though…" Shiori pouted a bit at that. She may have been a bit of a nerd when it came to heroes, though she wasn't crazy. Save for that one time with Surge Alloy, but she was a kid then!
"One of your classmates said something similar when he came over to train with Papa but…" Shiori's sentences delved into murmur as she frowned a bit. "I don't have the same courage all of you do. I couldn't deal with what you are right now."
Shiori suddenly smiled nervously and began to frantically wave her hands at Aurora's last statement.
"O-Of course! I wasn't expecting you to spend the entire time babysitting me or something…!" Shiori quickly assured. "Your class decided to do a maid cafe?"
"Ya it was rather last minute, and such. Heh it will be interesting to see what my classmates look like. I heard Isamu even got Jet to agree so that it will be interesting to see what woodsmen look like all fancy," Aurora laughed at the thought. Betting whatever he chose would be unfortunately uncomfortable for the poor dragon.
"Yes you can, Shiori it just takes that first step, remember that. That's what my father told me, and since that moment of my life I have been moving forward… with a few bumps of course" Aurora smiled though momentarily remembering the fights she had lost, and the encounters with the villains.
"Besides if i can make a decent hero so can you alright," she chimed at her Auntie with a big pearly white smile as they parked at the school.
"Jet… Ah!" Murmuring that, Shiori remembered him as the dragon boy that was interning with Grudge. She heard he was injured afterward, which brought a frown to her face. Still, he was apparently part of the class project, so that was good news. "If he's joining the cafe, that must mean he's doing okay."
She smiled once again at her niece. She knew Aurora meant well, but she had been told as much by her family more than once. They were family; they had to love you. It was different when it came to others. There was also the fact that Shiori knew she was a bit of a scaredy cat, strangely enough not with media, but with actual confrontation. It wasn't that she thought of herself as weak, but her heart didn't seem to be built as strong as the rest of her.
"...I'll try to keep that in mind Aurora… Oh, we're here. Let's go!"
"Shiori… alright I'll prove it one day," Aurora sighed at her silly aunt as they headed into UA. Once they made to the Cafe Aurora sung her entrance as she was clearly excited to see her classmates having a big event together.
"Charlette you look absolutely adorable, Masa not too bad," Aurora chimed in as she hugged smug gently before nodding at Masaru. She was then met with Amaris who was absolutely adorable.
"Your so cute… good thing your moms are not here," Aurora noted now realizing that minor fact of Auntie Ramiris's maid addiction, and well the fact that said addiction got her in trouble with Imma. Shaking the thought off, she hugged her smaller friend before waving to Yosuke, Jet, and Mimi.
"Oh yes everyone let me introduce my aunt Shiori," she sung turning everyone's attention to Shiori herself before adding.
"So what are the plans tonight Isamu?"
Masaru jumped a bit himself as the smaller girl seemed startled. He hadn't exactly sneaked up on her. She must have been truly focused on the map. As she questioned him, Masaru's eyes widened a bit as if surprise or confused, but then narrowed once again as if he had come upon some kind of conclusion.
"Of course it is..." He muttered quietly. It was unsurprising, still he supposed it was partially his fault for keeping himself so out of the loop. "Yeah, I guess so... Hm?"
Hearing the girl's next inquiry, Masaru let out a light sigh. He had been spending a fair amount of time with Airi. Following their talk, he hadn't exactly been overly social, however he was at least approachable. Still, while he spent a lot of his training, much of that time was subsequently with Airi as well. He wasn't sure what Charlotte or Airi had in mind when they directed him, but it didn't seem to be a date. Nonetheless, he wouldn't argue.
"I honestly don't know much of the plans. I was told to dress like this and show and... Well, I kind of have to make up for something," Masaru replied. "We might walk around later. I doubt she'd want to spend the entire festival in a maid cafe."
After answering that, he noticed the panda seemingly examining him. He raised an eyebrow expectantly before she returned his compliment and made a comment on his smile. He let out a sigh and rubbed the back of his neck.
"I'll give you that, but my smile isn't scary. I just haven't felt like loosening up lately," Masaru explained before deadpanning at her. "...So you have secret climbing spots with stuff hidden away in them. You know for most of us height doesn't really matter, right?"
As she entered the cafe, Charlotte heard a familiar voice greet her. It was Yosuke. His compliments brought a grin to her face, even with the insinuation that finished his sentence. She clasped her hands behind her back and spun to face him with a smug expression, seemingly pleased with his affirmation of her choices.
"Are you implying I'm not innocent? Why, I never," Charlotte retorted. "You're looking rather spiffy yourself, Yosuke."
While the girl would've loved to analyze and critique the boy's sense of style, there were more pressing matters at the moment. Namely, the dinging of a timer followed by a sweet, chocolaty smell. Charlotte practically hovered over towards the kitchen to gawk at Mimi's productions. Contemplating stealing one, Charlotte's plot was interrupted by a few more entering the room. Amaris was first to make her presence known, dressed as a cute little maid and punctuating her sentences with "uwu" again. Jet was next and, surprisingly, looked the part. Charlotte couldn't help but wonder if he had someone help him pick out clothing or practice his speech. Aurora was the final one to interject greeting the French girl with a hug.
Charlotte turned to face Aurora and gasped a bit. Sometimes Aurora looked more foreign than the telekinetic did.
"Aurora you're so pretty~!" Charlotte cheered softly before taking note of the nervous-looking girl who had entered. The one who seemed even less comfortable now that attention had been directly pushed onto her. The tomboyish-looking girl seemed to be holding back a grin and looked a bit flustered already. "Where's her costume?"
"E-Eh? Costume? Me? N-No! I'm not part of this! I just wanted to see the festival!" Shiori corrected fairly quickly. "A-Anyway, it's nice to meet you all!"
