Cupie

Cupie snickered seeing him jump. Something about that tired sigh of his always made these conversations enjoyable; to an extent. Of course, if she actually bothered him, well she would have gotten the hint a long time ago. She was quick to down her snacks, wanting to get the first dance with Jet and not keep him waiting.

Hearing Masaru's comeback, she hmphed, "At least I can actually ask someone out if I really wanted to. Isn't that right Mister St-St-St-St-Stutters?" Cupie shot back, setting her plate into a bin where the rest of the dirty dishes went.

"Anyway, I'm happy you're here socializing instead of training all night. Have fun, okay? Enjoy yourself! Make some more friends!" Cupie turned to Jet, taking his hand into hers. "C'mon, let's go dance~"

As she led him away, she looked back at Masaru, "Don't forget to save me a dance too, power bottom~!"

With that, she looked back at Jet and smiled, "You know how to dance?"

Octavia

She smiled, highly doubting that K' was as boring as he said. She wondered if maybe she should join him in running (or flying) laps with him... maybe not running, for, uh, two big reasons. Octavia didn't want to "distract" him, so to say.

He started talking about his family, which she was more than happy to listen to. However, she felt K's body had dropped in temperature due to them being so close. Octavia looked a little puzzled, wondering what that could mean. His quirk was tied to his emotions, wasn't it? Considering all that happened and how fast his body temperature was to increase or decrease, it was safe to assume that that was the case. But what did a temperature drop mean?

His father... what?

Adopted?

Rescued...

What happened to K's biological parents? Had they died in the house fire?

This was definitely reaching sensitive territory, and she would certainly not ask to avoid overstepping boundaries. If K' was ever ready to tell her, then she would be more than willing to listen. For now, she was honored he felt comfortable around her enough to share his history with her.

Octavia listened to him as he told the story of his parents, and couldn't help but smile seeing the puppy dog look he gave her. "What's that look? It's adorable~ I promise I won't say anything. It's not my story to tell anyway." She assured him."But thank you for trusting me with this information. I really appreciate it."

At the question of her hobbies, Octavia tensed a little as she quickly tried to think of something to tell him. There was no way she was going to mention her fanfiction account; he might think her a loser or a creep for writing porn of people she now knew!

Fortunately, or unfortunately, Amaris approached her and requested to speak to her.

Despite the hints, Amaris wasn't going away...

Octavia sighed and was forced to acknowledge her.

...

She was angry with herself.

Why did she say that? Why couldn't she just walk away from a situation? Why did she have to be nice?

Well, so much for that... She would just have to suck it up and help Amaris. AS ALLIES.

Thankfully, she was able to use those moments away from K' to think of an appropriate answer to his questions.

Octavia looked to K' and smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry about that. To answer your question, I write stories, read books, and I dabble in Hero stuff from time to time. Sometimes I play video games too during my off time." She answered him. Of course, there was no way she was going to mention that Otome games and visual novels were her favorites.

Ichirou

With some light conversation, the first dance had come to an end, leaving Ichirou to decide what to do as Kanna went to do her own thing. He decided to go to the punch bowl and get a drink, quietly pondering what to do now...

It was a little uncomfortable for Killian to be at the school's dance pretty much alone. He hadn't had much interaction with any of the students. He had talked to two, the panda and the ghost girl, and that was pretty much it. Although he did think about asking the Ayame to dance as a sort of half-serious joke. She did tell him to just dance whenever he was uncomfortable in their first meeting, but he had assumed that she had enough people to ask her out, at least he would expect someone who was as adorable as she was to have enough people asking. The reason that he didn't ask the ghost girl was much, much simpler… he was just still kinda scared of her.

Adding to the discomfort was the clothing he was supposed to wear, although he did make sure he liked the combination, it was still something very unusual for him to be wearing such fancy clothes. At least he got to add his own little bit of personality in the form of a pink shirt to contrast the vest, tie and pants which were all a relatively light grey. For the entirety of the event he had been sitting around, watching people laugh and dance and having a good time and while the second hand excitement was at least somewhat satisfying to him, it was still second hand.

'Well…' He thought to himself, 'I guess sitting alone near the wall is the inevitable end every introvert eventually faces, isn't it?'

...No… No, that couldn't be. That was no fun and that's what this was supposed to be, right? Fun. A fun social event for people to interact and forget about the daily pressure that every student experienced. Yet, he hadn't talked to a single soul yet. What was he doing there if he wasn't at least going to try to enjoy himself?

So, remembering what he had learnt from the one dance course his parents had forced him into a couple years back, he let his eyes wander from person to person, looking over everyone who was standing alone as well. Eventually his eyes stopped at another boy. Pale skin, silver hair, maybe three to four inches taller than him wearing a dark blue button up, a black tie, and a black vest with black pants to match, and not at all bad looking. Killian pulled all his courage together and walked up, 'Well… here goes nothing.'

"Hello there. Would… uh… would you like to dance?" Killian extended his hand a little to the other one after he finished speaking, this was how you were supposed to do this, right? And although he was trying his best to hide it, he was sure his anxiousness still showed plenty through his voice.

Ichirou had been left by himself for a bit while his date had gone and tended to her friends, which was fine by him. It gave him a little break to himself, and the opportunity to talk to people he hadn't had a chance of introducing himself to. Everyone present seemed to be having a good time and the chaperones (namely his mother), weren't being too intrusive. It had been a while since he felt so relaxed in an environment filled with people.

He took another sip of his punch, silently wondering what he should do. Ichirou could ask someone to dance right now, but who? A lot of the girls were no-gos due to them already having dates, he just finished dancing with Kanna, and the boys… he wasn't sure who would accept his invitation, much less be willing to dance with another boy.

Before he could dwell on the thought longer, one of his classmates approached him and asked him to dance. This person was one of the new transfers; pretty handsome if Ichirou had to say, and sounded like he had really fought himself to ask in the first place. Ichirou could really admire this person's bravery; this was also his chance to make a new friend.

He set aside his empty cup before smiling, taking the other boy's hand in his. "Of course."

Ichirou led the other person towards the group of people dancing, though he didn't take his partner into the crowd where they'd be surrounded by so many students. Instead, he took him off to the side of the dance floor where they would have breathing room. Once there, he guided Killian into their dance as he took the lead. He didn't know how well his partner could dance, so Ichirou decided to start with something easy and let the other take the lead if he wanted.

"Sorry but I haven't learned your name yet." Ichirou said to the other. He had heard of who this person was around the class, but they haven't really gotten to talk enough that Ichirou would know him by name and face.

"Oh, of course, sorry… Killian is my name, Killian Eisenschmied." He was still a little nervous. These kinds of things always happened when he tried to speak to someone he didn't know. This wasn't helped by the fact that the other boy was quite handsome. He was quite thankful that the other had pulled them a little off to the side, Killian was already anxious enough about dancing with someone else in general, this was just a sort of "worst-best-case" scenario to him, so he was relieved he at least didn't have to be in the midst of all the other students. Now that he had told him his own name, it also occured to Killian that he didn't know the name of his dance partner. Though he had definitely seen him in class.

"Uhm, speaking of names.... I don't think I can remember yours. Sorry, I'm terrible with names." Killian was now fighting back against his subconscious telling him how much of a mess he was being and just berating himself about his shyness in the back of his head.

"I'm a bit of a mess meeting new people, sorry. I hope I didn't snatch you away from anybody else just now, did I?" Eventually he just said the first thing that came to his mind. It wasn't a lie, meeting new people was usually quite hard for him at first and he could then often find himself stumbling over his own words and thoughts. Though he was trying his best at keeping that awkwardness of his at bay.

'It's not that hard, just have a nice conversation like you could have with your old friends back home, the only difference is that this is a different language… and that you don't know this guy… and that he looks good… oh god…' Killian whispered the end of his train of thought to himself, "Ich habe einen schlimmen Fehler gemacht."

Ichirou took a mental note of the other's name, figuring out quite quickly due to his grandmother's side that Killian was German. That was good! At least he could help the other feel more comfortable by speaking in his native language. Maybe they could have full blown conversations in German and the rest of the class would be left wondering what they were saying? That'd be amusing~

"I'm Ichirou Mizushima. A pleasure to meet you, Killian." He introduced himself with a kind smile. "Don't worry, you didn't. In fact, I'd been standing there at a loss about who I should ask to dance. Thanks for helping me out with that."

Now that introductions were out of the way, all that was left for Ichirou was to pave the way to friendship. Killian seemed really nice, albeit a bit nervous about… everything. Ichirou would do his best to help him relax, at least a little~

Though barely, he heard what the other said in German and understood it perfectly. Still he smiled. Should he? Shouldn't he? Killian said it in German probably believing Ichirou couldn't understand him, and he seemed so nervous as is…

Ichirou would let this slide, for Killian's sake. Maybe later he'll tell him he can speak German; when his partner was more relaxed.

"How are you liking UA so far? Our classmates?" He asked.

"UA is a little… overwhelming, honestly. I didn't even expect to get accepted, since I applied as a sort of half-serious joke. Otherwise… well, you can see how good I am at talking to people I don't know. I only know two people in class… and one of them … one of them honestly scares me. Oh, and I also don't really know any of the teachers here either…" Saying all this aloud for the first time really only made Killian really realize how much of an odd-ball he was in this school. Hopefully Ichirou wouldn't think badly of him for all of this.

He listened quietly, taking a mental note of the other's words. So Killian might need to talk to more people, and Ichirou could help him do just that! He could introduce him to the rest of the class and ease him into conversation; probably take it easy via one on one introductions. "That's understandable. I can help you meet the rest of the class if you want? All of the teachers are really nice, and I know a few people who would love to make friends." He assured the other.

If Killian said no, then introductions could come at a gradual pace.

"Well… I think as long as I don't have to run into a group of people head first. I suppose it might be alright, then." Ichirou seemed nice enough and if he volunteered to put up with his antics, then it would be rather stupid of Killian to say no, wouldn't it?

"I just hope you know what you are getting yourself into here. Don't tell me I never warned you later, alright?" Killian was already warming up at least a little bit. He might be able to get along with him.

Ichirou grinned, "No group introductions, I promise. You don't come across as a social butterfly anyway." He answered him. "Heh, that's fine by me. I wouldn't have agreed to dance if I didn't want to be your friend, you know?"

He thought of more questions, "Do you mind telling me about yourself? Interests, hobbies, whatever you want to tell me." Right now, Ichirou wanted to get more answers out of Killian and help him relax a little more. Maybe finding some common interests between the two could help the other warm up to him and get comfortable.

Killian was already happy about what Ichi had said, he could use some friends here and if he had at least one at his side, that couldn't hurt, yet he couldn't help but think: 'Und ab in die Friend Zone für mich… innerhalb der ersten viertel Stunde. Ein neuer Rekord.'

"About myself…? Well… I guess. I love music, all kinds of music. I'm a bit of a music nerd, actually, I love learning about new instruments. I play drums myself and as part of that I also learned how to play pretty much any percussion instrument as well as piano… and sometimes when I practice I'll sing to myself and along with what I'm playing. Other than that, I guess I really like video games. All kinds of those. Loved them ever since I was a little kid. There was always something relieving about being able to turn off for a few hours and just pretend I wasn't in this world but the hero of a different one." Killian was practically thinking out loud what kinds of things he liked, "Oh! And boxing too! I've always loved boxing ever since I started doing it." Killian did not even notice that as he was getting more loose and comfortable he was slowly getting closer and closer to Ichirou.

He listened, nodding a few times in acknowledgement to the information that was given to him. Ichirou was pleasantly surprised to hear just how much the two had in common, actually! There were plenty who shared his interests, sure, but it was always nice to meet someone who liked more than one thing he did.

"Hey, I do a few of those things too! I sing, play piano, and I love to play video games too. It would be great to hear you play or sing. The girl you fought in the tournament, she's one of my friends who loves video games too. If you want, the three of us could sit down and play together sometime?" He offered.

Surely Aurora wouldn't say no to being able to meet and play with a new person, right? She could be a little… overbearing, but at least Killian would be meeting someone else.

Ichirou realized that Killian was getting a little too close. Flashbacks to Kanna's aura caused a shiver of unease to roll up his spine, and he would rather not be attacked for getting a little too close to another person. He subtly took a step back to put a little bit of distance between their bodies; still close though a more appropriate gap between them.

"Did you fight in the ring as a boxer? Like for competitions? Or was it something you did as a hobby?" Ichirou asked to keep the conversation going. Killian was very nice and seemed to be warming up. Maybe once he was comfortable, Killian could find the courage to go introduce himself to more people? It took a lot out of him to ask Ichirou to dance, but would Killian be willing to gather more of that energy to say hi to a small group of students?

"Oh right… Aurora… I keep forgetting that that was her name. I'm just as terrible with names as I am with people. I… uh, don't think she likes me that much. Because I didn't really want to compete in that tournament. I don't like fights like these were the only real rules are 'No killing'. Maybe that's a bit of the clichéd german shining through in me, but I like rules, they usually make things much easier. Plus… she is kinda… how do I put this? … Beklemmend … I can't think of the word. Scary I suppose, though, it's not exactly what I mean." He was still unsure about that girl. He had seen her around a couple of times and thought about talking to her, but couldn't help but figure she thought badly of him.

"I used to fight in competitions occasionally. I was state "champion" of my weight class about two years ago. I never thought of doing it professionally, though if my nose is any indicator. I am apparently pretty good." Many boxers, even at his age, already had a slightly displaced nose from catching a punch or two too much with their face, he on the other hand still hadn't even gotten a black eye once. Of course, fighting with quirks was a lot different from boxing competitions.

"And I usually don't play for others and rather just for myself… I never really thought I was good enough to really play for others, but if you really want I can show you. I won't promise to be able to work up the courage to sing though. Some people that listened in on me when I thought nobody could hear me used to tell me that I'm alright, but I really don't think so…" He admitted to him.

"I would also like to come with you and Aurora to play a bit… I just… I don't know about her. She really didn't seem to like me at all."

"Hey, believe it or not, Aurora hasn't said anything bad about you." He couldn't help but chuckle when Killian called her "frightening," but he couldn't really blame his partner. "It's okay if you think she's scary. You're not the first person I've heard call her that, and I'm sure you definitely won't be the last." Ichirou just hoped he wouldn't say that to Aurora's face seriously… Then again, Aurora may not mind it too much. She was an odd box, that one.

To be honest, Killian hadn't really come across as the championship boxer. His demeanor said he was shy and easygoing, and yet here he was talking about beating people up in the ring. On top of that he was good enough to leave his fights mostly unscathed.. It was interesting! Ichirou was enjoying learning more and more about Killian; maybe to the point of establishing a new friendship!

Now, Ichirou was curious regarding Killian's potential with musical instruments and his singing voice. A lot of people usually thought they weren't doing good at something they were excellent in. Singers often think they're not as good as others think, artists not drawing something well when others think it's a masterpiece, anyone who played instruments being told they're really good when they think they're off. It was common among creators, so Ichirou would have to play eavesdropper one of these days and listen for himself just how good Killian really was.

"I'd love to hear you play." He could compare the differences between playing in front of someone and playing alone, "As for Aurora, I really doubt she dislikes you. Like I said, she hasn't expressed any illwill towards you, hasn't said anything bad about you, and I'm confident she's gotten over whatever she might have been upset about. Aurora's not the type of person to dislike someone just like that. Hell, Cupie can be pretty rude sometimes and Aurora still seems fond of her." He assured the other. Since Killian had been nothing but kind and respectful, he doubted Aurora would hate him as much as he thought.

"But hey, if Aurora scares you that much, you don't have to hang out with her. It's your decision to make."

"I'll take you with me once I go into the music rooms again, then. Then you can listen a little." Killian answered, now with a happy smile on his face.

"And if you are so sure about her, then I'll trust you with that. I just really hope you are right… I'd rather make a friend than an "enemy", especially with someone like her." He said happily. This would be great, he would get to meet new people and hang out with Ichirou as well. If he could introduce him to the people in class then it would be much easier to get to know them, because then he was hopefully not as awkward as he would have been.

"I feel like we've only been talking about me this entire time. Maybe I should ask you some questions as well?" Killian stopped and thought for a second, "What kinds of music are your favorite? What kinds of games do you - and Aurora too - play together? Tell me a little about yourself." He figured he'd start with the basics and ask more questions later. For now this would suffice.

Ichirou noticed that Killian seemed a lot more relaxed now; the nervousness in his voice was gone, and the scared demeanor he had looked to have faded away. He hoped that his dance partner and new friend could keep that energy for the rest of the party. But that may be asking a bit much.

Now it was Ichirou's turn to talk more about himself. Okay! Hopefully he didn't accidentally bore Killian away.

"Music huh? Well…" Ichirou grinned, unable to feel a little bit embarrassed, "Okay, so. Growing up my mom had a lot of weird taste in music. Dark synthwave kind of stuff; the things you'd hear at a gothic futuristic rave. Aside from the usual rock and anything with a catchy beat, I'm listening to that too. Games, I play a lot of first person shooters, some platformers, RPGs, and especially horror games. I tend to stay away from visual novels and those romantic simulator kind of games. I appreciate the work that goes into it, but it's just not for me."

Mostly, it was because he felt those games targeted a very specific type of audience, one that he wasn't a part of. He just didn't get the appeal of it, but wouldn't judge someone who liked it.

"What about you? What kind of games do you play?"

He knew for a fact Aurora would love this guy if he liked first person shooters.

"I've always been in love with RPGs and strategy games. My favorites are Metroidvanias though, I live and die for those. Surprise, surprise, I was never one for multiplayer games. I guess I'm ok at shooters? I never really played them actively, but I was always ok with losing in a game, so I used to play those with some friends back home and they'd wipe the floor with me. Horror though…" Killian chuckled a little, "I really don't do well with horror… at all. I am a super scaredy cat, I start to scream and sometimes even cry and I get nightmares from the simplest things… Horror really isn't for me." He admitted.

"Say…" Killian began as if to ask a question, and he did want to, there were loads of them flying around in his head, but he couldn't make up his mind as to what he was supposed to ask at all, so eventually he just went with the first thing that came to mind.

"You don't happen to have a girlfriend, do you?" He just blurted that question out. 'This is exactly why I do not trust you with making conversations, Killian! Volltrottel!' He said to himself in his head.

Some differences in tastes gaming-wise, that was fine. He seemed to like RPGs and strategy, so Ichirou could ask him about his favorite titles. He hadn't played many strategy games, but now would be a good time to pick up on some. Maybe Killian would be happy to play some Bomberman 2 with him and Aurora one day-

What?

Ichirou paused in his thinking, realizing what Killian had just asked him. A subtle blush on his cheeks from not just the question but the suddenness of it.

In the end, he smiled. Now he was mainly trying to relieve the two of them of a potentially awkward situation.

"Not officially, no. But I did come to the dance with someone." He reminded the other, still smiling, "I'm flattered you asked, but I'd rather not got in trouble with her. And don't worry I'm not bothered you asked in the first place or anything, okay?" Ichirou assured him. No one taught Ichirou how to properly deal with these types of situations, and he didn't want to completely ruin a blossoming friendship.

"I hope you're not mentally beating yourself over that." A part of Ichirou thought that maybe Killian might be calling himself an idiot or something.

"I- that-" Killian was fumbling over his words, he could feel that his face had gotten much warmer than it was before, his ears and cheeks were likely beet red. Eventually he stopped trying to press out some half-assed flustered apology and just sighed. If it would be possible for his consciousness to gain human form, it probably would have hopped out of his body and smacked him in the face right about now.

"Sorry," 'alright, good enough start.', " I just- Sometimes my head can't keep up with what my big mouth is spewing out… and then something like this happens. Really, sorry." He forced a smile on his face again. He was just going to take the other one at his word and not think into it too much. If he said it was alright, then it was alright. These were the times when Killian wished he had been born as a stupid child, so his mind wouldn't automatically think into every single word someone said.

Killian also made a further mental note that, he didn't just ask a friend to come with him, but was likely already taken or at least trying to get into a relationship. Bummer. He had hoped for the opposite to be the case, but at least this way he didn't have to embarrass himself trying to awkwardly flirt with someone.

"It's an automatic thing that my mind beats me up over things like this." He admitted to Ichirou, maybe letting him know that he was also more than just a little embarrassed by what he had just done helped his case at least a tiny bit, "I was never that much of a smooth talker… as you can see… guess that also never helped me get any better at all."

"And, uhm, if you are here with someone else… should, uh, should I bring you back to them?" Killian wasn't just trying to be nice and polite now. He also just wanted to offer Ichirou a way to get away from him if he wanted to. Killian really couldn't blame him if he did, conversations with him were usually already uncomfortable enough, this was just the pinnacle of his lack of any semblance of charisma or understanding of how humans and conversations work.

Ichirou gently shook his head, "There's no need for apologies; all you did was ask a question and I answered. Nothing bad about that."

One again, he was doing his best to let Killian know that he didn't do anything wrong or bad. Sure automatically saying something like that could cause problems depending on the person, but Ichirou was technically single since he and Kanna weren't officially dating, so there was no reason for anyone to be upset. Killian would be fine, and Ichirou still wanted to be friends with him. Maybe more reassurance? Ichirou really did still want to be friends with Killian, and wouldn't let a blurted out question ruin that.

"Hmm, after this song. I still wanted to ask you more questions though; like your favorite game titles. Once this song is done we can find Aurora here and maybe set up a plan for the three of us to do some gaming, if you're still interested."

"Uhm… alright. Yeah. That sounds good. I hope we don't disturb her though." Killian said, briefly letting his vision swoop through what he could see of the room to try and find her. No luck so far.

"It'll be okay." Ichirou assured him, knowing that the way to find Aurora was to find either Ayame, Shizui, or harassing Kanna in some way regarding him.

With the song over and the dancing complete, Ichirou would walk with Killian to try and find Aurora. He hoped the conversations would go well and Killian would make another friend.

K' was quite thankful that she seemed to take what he had said as well as it could have gone. She did seem surprised at a lot of these things, which he could understand quite well. It was probably quite a bit to take in.

K' was mentally preparing himself for an onslaught of questions that he was semi-ready to answer when a familiar pallor, almost ghostly figure approached the two. She approached Octavia specifically and K' not wanting to intrude took a few steps back from the two. For just a second he had taken a look at his phone to see if a certain request he had sent to his sister had already been answered by her, and as expected, she had delivered.

As the talk between the two went on, he began wishing he had brought the shades with him so he had something to at least hide his eyes behind. It set off some mixture of emotion he could not quite define when Amaris said she had never been apologized to, for the most part, that held true for him too. Hearing about her quirk was quite interesting, but K' couldn't help but feel bad for her. That was one hell of a curse that he wouldn't exchange any blessing for, except... He would any day, if he could rid himself of all emotion, he would finally not have to be afraid to destroy other people's lives anymore.

He could understand that Octavia was holding a grudge, even if he had no clue what this was about, these things were just human nature. Though when Octavia mentioned that she had been surrounded by people that would be cruel to her was the point K' walked off a few steps more until he was out of earshot, though he kept them in his field of view.

If he had met Octavia at any other time than when he did, he would have been one of these people who would have hurled pointless insults at her, without considering anything but himself and how he could keep people away from him. He felt cold. As if he was hugging his sister on her happiest day. Suddenly he felt as though he just wanted to leave and go away. There was this feeling that he didn't deserve to have a friend like her, as though she was some precious heirloom that he was supposed to take but considered far too valuable for him to have. Maybe if he was lucky it would make Octavia mad at him and she would avoid him? But what good would that do? He knew himself well enough to know that even if that worked out the way he had it in mind, in the end, he would come crawling back to her.

The two parted and K' came back up to Octavia. There was a lump in his throat, he didn't know what to say. He felt awful. Like the scum of the earth. He was quite happy Octavia was the one to speak up first once they joined back in on the dance. Though for some reason, he couldn't quite get himself to look at her when she spoke.

"I've always wanted to be good at writing, you know." K' began after doing his best to swallow that feeling of guilt and disgust, "I used to have so much spare time that I could easily have written a novel, if I wouldn't lack the talent to I definitely would have too. Though, I've always loved reading too." He finished, a smile slowly creeping back onto his face while his body temperature normalized again.

"Maybe you could show me some of your stories at some point? I promise I won't laugh, chances are no matter what they are I have read worse, plus, as long as the genre doesn't happen to be a coming-of-age story, I'm alright with reading anything from action or adventure to romance and smut." He was quite interested in what she liked to write and he was quite sure that she wasn't a bad writer as well.

"Oh, and I just saw that my sister sent me this when I asked," K' moved his hand from her back to pull out his phone with a picture of a red-brown dog with a white belly and a greyed mask that definitely used to be black at some point, laying ontop a sleeping, incredibly small and childlike female that was laying on a couch. He held the phone there for quite a while before letting it slide back into his pocket and continuing the dance as normal.

"That's the dog I have been on about. And that below her is my mom, her name's Sora, and I know, I know 'She doesn't look a day over 14-years old.', I can't believe she is 34-years old either, believe me." He explained to her.

"Oh, is it right?" Masaru inquired with narrowed eyes, obviously doubting that Cupie had initiated this date. Besides, if he really wanted to, he could ask someone out too—Probably.

"I have plenty of friends!" Masaru retorted with a huff as she took Jet and departed, but of course, she couldn't leave without one final prod, or two or three. "And I'm not a power bottom!"

Sighing, that last part was likely a bit loud, but unfortunately it came out preemptively. As Masaru turned his attention back to the snacks and drinks in front of him, idly filling a cup with some soda as he looked around. Make friends, she said. Too bad all those he knew of were either dancing with dates or lost in the crowds. At least with him being here with Adelaide, he had someone to talk to without feeling like he was intruding. Well, there was also Charlotte but he didn't particularly feel like walking through Hell's gates at the moment. With Izou not around, the girl's focus would undoubtedly be on toying with others.

As he turned and began spectating, Masaru began to make out quite a few of his classmates. Amaris would being particularly active in approaching and speaking with people, specifically people that were likely a tad peeved with her, perhaps she was trying to work through things? Octavia seemed to take it rather well, from what he could see, before returning to her date. Was that one of the transfers? Then she moved on to speak with Aurora who was with the girl Charlotte faced off with. So the girl could smile, maybe the vibe he got turning the tournament was off...

Taking a sip from the soda, his eyes scanned the gym further, noting Ichirou and another of the transfers together. Given the two's luck in a serious setting, Masaru wouldn't be approaching the boy in here. Charlotte appeared to messing with poor Ayame, and then there was Shun in a dress—Wait.

Pausing, Masaru blinked a few times to make sure it wasn't an illusion. No, the boy was truly in a dress, and Masaru wondered what bet he lost.

"Well, if I was wondering if it could be worse... it certainly could be," Masaru murmured to himself as he took another drink.

Humming at that, Charlotte nibbled on the pastry in front of her as the panda spoke. So the girl went on a shopping date and her dress got voted down?

"What was the dress?" Charlotte inquired. It couldn't have been that bad.

However, as the girl continued, soon enough the conversation turned around on the French girl. She should've expected it. Ayame was one of the brighter ones in the class, like her. She wasn't one you could simply tease without her biting back, at least metaphorically. Charlotte, however, wasn't the type to get flustered towards these types of questions.

"As in, why am I at the dance or do I have anyone I'm interested in?" Charlotte asked with a slight smirk before shrugging. As she swallowed another bite of the pastry, a cup floated over from the table, filled with a glass of water which the girl partook from.

"Well, I came here to have fun, or talk to people, I suppose. Amaris and I thought it would be interesting if we swapped styles for the night. Hence..." Leading off with that, Charlotte extended an arm to the side to allow for better view of her choice in wardrobe. "As for the latter. You could say that, unfortunately they can't be here for the moment, so I have to settle making him jealous with pictures."

Shizui Kotegawa

Noticing that the Panda had scurried away from the pair, perhaps to avoid any further attention, Shizui would giggle lightly as she extended her hand to the table of food contents. Nabbing a few snacks, she would approach Aurora to offer her some. "Here, Tamoyo-san, the grilled squid is delicious!" Shizui would present the snack to her by holding it in the chopsticks and apparently trying to feed her.

However, her expression would lightly change upon seeing Amaris getting near the pair and asking her partner to talk. With a small sigh, she turned to put the snack back at the table and before smiling lightly and turning to the vampire. "Ara, trying to rob me of my dance partner so soon?" She would say, somewhat half-joking as she winked to Amaris. Huffing, she would turn to Aurora once more and approach her to whisper in her ear. "I'll be leaving the two of you to talk. I know that you have some loose ends... So do be soft on the poor girl." She said as she once more glanced towards Amaris and smiled lightly. "Come see me when you're done, dear." Shizui teased as she waked away from the duo.

"Now, then, if you'll excuse me..." She stated as she bowed her head lightly to Amaris and walked away.

Now that that was out of the way, the girl quickly found her way to the dress-clad man in the dance with a rather annoyed expression on her face. Nearing him, she would tap him on his shoulder and then fold her arms as she stopped right in front of him. "Were you really planning on coming over dressed like that and not talk to me?" The girl stated as she scowled at him.

"And even worse... You're not gonna tell me what's with the getup and how the hell you got to date a girl?" Clearly, Shizui was more than just estranged by how far the boy had been since they had come to U.A.. In fact, the two had scarcely talked since then, with him focusing more and more on the other students and making friends with everyone. "You didn't even invite me to dance with you yet..."

Feigning being hurt, Shizui would turn away from him with her arms still folded as she sighed. "So, do you plan on doing anything about that?" She asked as she was still looking away from her best friend.

Kanna Tanaka - Ayame Daichi - UA Dance

Ichirou was rather correct to be warry of Kanna in regards to his dance partners. Had they been a couple then Killian would be getting spoon fed. While she was a Looker, maybe even one of the better ones in the UA period. And judging by her mother, sure to age well. But such came with a price, she would be devoted and excepted the same of them in turn. Overhearing bits of the convoy, the little German had managed to anger her just a bit. Radiating a bit of her Aura a hint of a violent flare would follow the two. With blazing red eyes locked on the boy in particular.

For a German that went on so much with Rules and laws, he seemed awfully ignorant of societal ones.. But so many of the Europeans here were like that, holding their ways above all else in arrogance. It was part of why her mother went about things in the manner that she did. With her anger growing more, she stays in control, making it all the more unnerving for onlookers. Though Shun and his choice of...Dress was still the center of attention, negative as it seemed to be. In America it may have been hilarious, here it was uncomfortable..

"Ara, Ara..." She would be having a talk with him eventually. But it seemed another was near her now, wanting something..

"It was a little White Dress with Red Panda emotes on it! Kanna said it was too childish." She says, still working on her plate. "Huh? They? Who is that? Him?" Ayame was lost here, what in the hell was Charlotte on about? "Uh...oh the cr---err Izou? I didn't know they allowed outsiders in, well he was a student here.." Thinking on that it seemed reasonable enough, he wasn't a bad guy afterall, still though..

"But at least now I know why you look like you escaped a funeral home.. And why she had a nice dress.. I'm getting a bit tired and bored of this though, so I'll likely start to head back before the final dance. You may have a dance but I don't, and I rather Not dance with you if you suddenly want to be helpful."

As Shunsuke danced with Amaris he couldn't help, but note how comfortable it felt. Not the dress, that was still an odd feeling for him, but with Amaris. She didn't seem to expect much, and though she was difficult to read, or rather understand, their interactions were simple. Still, he didn't want her to think that the dress was a big deal. He might have been able to steal a heart or two with a suit, at least that's what his mom would have said, but at least he wore the dress well. "You don't need to worry about that. A dare is a dare and the dance is fun if nothing else," Shunsuke said with a small grin before the smaller girl left his side.

He was happy she would be taking his advice. He knew she'd struggled with this, if not because of her own lack of understanding, then because of the consequences that had been wrought after the battle with Octavia.

Still, who'd have guessed that Amaris would continue after Octavia to Aurora. He blinked a few times before Shizui came to save him from boredom. Or at least that was what he thought before she spoke. He couldn't help but laugh a bit.

Collab with @Yzmael
"Well, I couldn't just fall into place as your idiot buddy forever Shizu-chan," he spoke with a hint of cheer in his tone despite her scowl. "And you didn't seem to have too much trouble finding yourself a date either," although in his case he was here with the girl as a friend. He laughed a bit though choosing to ignore her questioning his "getup." Sure he could have just told her that he did in on a dare from the little ice cream vampire, but where was the fun in that.

"But maybe this was my plan. Get you all jealous and have you come to me instead." With a few well placed footsteps and a quick, yet elegant turn, Shun once again was in front of her. He chose not to wait, unfolding her arms himself to pull her a bit closer. In the many years Shizui had known him, had he ever asked her to dance? Had she ever seen him do more than fun moves while walking down the street or while playing those dancing arcade games? Maybe she was in for a bit of a surprise from her best friend tonight. "Hope you don't mind if I take the lead," he said as he the next song began and he pulled her closer beginning their dance.

Shizui smiled defiantly as she usually would, placing her legs across his side and side-winding him into a cross as she allowed him to lead the tempo. "Ignoring some of my inquiries there, aren't you… Well, not that they matter that much... Seems I fell right into your trap then, given how you've ignored me completely" She mused as she followed his own lead. "The question, Shun, is not if I let you take the lead… But if you can keep it long enough to entertain me…" She said as she smiled to him. This was partly the spirit of her friendship with Shun, a constant challenge and dare between the two.

"It appears you did," he said somewhat teasing the manner of speech she adopted as he always did. He just couldn't help himself sometimes. "I guess our time at UA has helped me blossom into more than just another pretty face," he said as he picked up their dance with the rising tempo of the music. This was more fun than he'd initially expected. He spun her out away from him. She would stop herself, and as she did, he'd continue his movement towards her. Each step was calculated allowing his feet to glide across the floor, each movement of his body fluid.

"I've never had a problem entertaining you before, but you're a little stiff tonight, it seems Shizui," he said with a playful wink as he stuck out his tongue, this time dancing around her, his gaze rarely leaving her. Of course, she wasn't, but he figured it would rile her up.

Following his movements with precision, Shizui seemed to flow in his arms like a doll. In this degree, it was almost like he was truly the one in the lead of a dance show and she was just there to follow him out. The truth was that she was simply letting him have his own fun. Art could not be rushed, and she was scheming her own takeover of the dance floor. When the sharp movement for her to spin was set in motion, Shizui's feet would glide along and eventually she would fluidly move down her torso to fall in a seemingly feigned finish position, resting on her own door much like a chair.

What followed next was that the lightning of the gym would shift around her as her doors would cover them in a seemingly flash of shadow and light.

Dipping her feet in her own door as she got up, her white heels would be substituted by the cover of her usual, glistening black armor as she followed Shun's movements, keeping her distance from him as the two played ring around the rosies.

Eventually, she'd close the distance to place her hands around his waist instead. "Stiff, huh… Let's see if that's the real deal, then."

The change in the two's choice of movement was clear as if day changed to night. Whereas Shunsuke would choose a more fluid motion to follow the tempo, Shizui's dancing style seemed more forceful and sharp, with a focus on how she'd position her feet often times behind or besides Shun to drive him along while playing with the lightning of the gym by using her doors along the beat of the music.

Despite their difference in size, Shizui seemed to be in complete control of each movement, eventually driving him to her side and switching him to have his back to her as she pulled his arms along her to provide a far more direct dancing form as they moved sideways. As the song came to an end, she'd end it in a classic by letting his own weight fall through her arm and catch him when he was just near the floor with her face close to his own…

"So… How's that for stiff?" She asked in a teasing tone and a wide smile, her eyes locked to his as a yellow prism among the now somewhat dimly lit gym ceiling.

Shunsuke couldn't say he'd expected anything less from his best friend who would soon take over their dance. Still, he couldn't say the use of her quirk and her sharp movements didn't caught him unaware. Still, he followed her almost perfectly as she guided him. She'd taken the lead in quite the spectacular way. Shizui really was amazing, he supposed.

Regardless, the song came to an end and so did their dance. "Wait…" Shunsuke's face lit up a bit as he stared into Shizui's eyes. "Did you just dip me?" He shook his head a bit, squeezing his eyes shut as he began to laugh. "Oh man, Shizui I never would have expected this in a million years." Shunsuke said as he slipped out of her grasp, and up onto his feet. He couldn't help himself. He came face to face with her once more. Someone might have gotten a bit of an eyeful of Shunsuke's boxers during the beginning of the dip, but it could have been much worse.

"Seriously though, Shizui, I'm glad you seem to be getting on well," he said as he looked her over for real now. He couldn't recall ever seeing her dress like this. "And you seem like you've gotten better at being social," he added with a small laugh. "I'm almost sad it took all of this after all those years of me trying."

Huffing, Shizui would turn away to once more present her usual persona: "I'm not opening up or anything of the like, Shun. This is just an opportune event for me to reveal some of my taste for art." She responded as she turned away from him to notice that Aurora and Amaris' dance was finalized at last.

Turning back to her friend once more, she smiled. "However, I'm grateful for your compliments regardless." She added before approaching Shunsuke and hugging him lightly. "Don't stray from me, you idiot. You're my only true friend." She managed to say with a light blush as she backed away from him and turned around to walk back to her date. "By the way… That dress looks cute on you, but it'd look cuter if you were a girl. Do take it off soon… I don't want anyone here looking down on your masculinity, Shun." She said as she drew her tongue at him jokefully, and continued walking down.

Shunsuke rolled his eyes, but smiled nonetheless. "Whatever you say Shizu-chan," She might not have admitted it, but she was most certainly doing better from more than just an artistic perspective.

Still the most surprising thing came in the form of a hug. A hug! Shizui hugged him. That must have been the first time in their friendship that she'd showed him such vulnerability. He squeezed her tight before she managed to shake him off. "Glad you've finally admitted that. Cause I'm with you til the end of the line Shizui," he said confidently before looking down as she commented on his dress. Shunsuke help up his right arm, flexing a muscle before slapping it with his left hand.

"No worries in that department," he grinned confidently. "My masculinity is totally secure. Besides, if I took this off too soon, I'd probably be scolded for public indecency," he retorted. "Plus, I'm not one to care about what others think anyway." Still as Shizui walked away he couldn't help, but think about what she'd said, how much she had changed, how much she was changing. It was nice. And as she walked away further, he couldn't help but look down at himself. What would he even be like as a girl? Would he really be any different beyond his looks.

Now alone once again, Shunsuke took a small breath. That'd been fun. What could he do now? As he looked around, he found... Octavia? Of course, it was hard not to see her when she looked so amazing. But he noticed she was with someone. K? He grinned. A newfound battle buddy he'd spent quite a bit of time with here and there fighting often until one or each of them either couldn't move or had decided to let things go for the day. Shunsuke had found more than one person he could really let loose with, a welcome challenge at any and all times.

But he was curious. Were K and Octavia on a date? The hothead himself hopping from anti to social? That seemed to be a move many were making and Shun was more surprised with each one. He laughed a little bit to himself as he contemplated going over to the two. Maybe that wasn't for the best though. He wouldn't have wanted to intrude. Especially so soon after his date had intruded. Regardless, he was always capable of having fun on his own. At least for a bit. Which he did, taking a bit of time to dance more himself, moving enthusiastically with the flow of the music.

And yet, after some time had passed, he found himself ready for a bit of a snack. He nodded, waved, and said hi to various people as he walked to get himself a bite of food and a drink from the table. But stood there for less than a minute before leaving with a cup in one hand and a sandwich in the other. "Oh hey," he said calmly as he finished the sandwich, finding Kanna standing on her own. "The ever beautiful and strong miss Tanaka," he said with a smilee as he came up beside her, "resting on your own again?" he asked with a small smile. It seemed if he wasn't meeting her for morning training sessions, he was meeting her when she was on her own at school events. Like at the Sports Festival.

"Are you enjoying the dance?" His curiosity was genuine for sure, though he'd also wondered if she'd come with someone. Still, he wouldn't have wanted to ask that, lest he seem like he was looking to fill the position. Especially since he was still here with Amaris, though she'd disappeared for the time being to handle other things.

Aurora-Amaris Converse

Amaris found herself standing in front of the taller, metallic girl. Her mouth was clammy, she felt stiff, and her stomach growled. She realized she had not eaten before the dance.

Okay.. all that was just a distraction. Time to get on with it. As she was slightly teased by the other white-haired girl, Amaris pursed her lips. She wasn't trying to steal anything.. But maybe that was taking the little jab a little too literal like she usually did. Amaris turned to once more focuse on Aurora.

"I havve a few thhings to ssay. If you would pleasse lissten. Thhank you."

Looking up into Aurora's eyes, she began. "You know me from when we were young. You musst know I am not the besst at undersstanding or dealing withh thhings -espechually emoshun." She drew in a breath to continue. "Sso, when you assked me out, I did not truly know what thhat meant. I thhought 'being withh ssomeone' meant you two were 'jusst togethher'." She shook her head, "Well, it iss.. But there iss more to it than thhat. I did not realizze that at the time. There iss sso muchh more in being withh ssomeone. I sstill do not havve a grassp on it. Not by a long shhot."

"Sso, in a way, I guesss I feeel…" She swallowed, and placed her hand on her stomach. This time this wasn't hunger pangs. "I feeel you had -or havve- taken advvantage of thhat fact. Taken advvantage ofh me. You knew what you were assking, what you wanted. And you went after it. And I did not. And I did not undersstand what you were assking, or what I wass acccepting into. I sstill do not.. You know what my quirk doess to me.. It iss not somethhing I can eassily get ovver, or control. Yet, I am not shure that mattered to you, Aurora."

She shook her head again, that was too accusatory. Amaris was not like that normally. She released the held breath she did not realize she had. Once more she opened her eyes to look up at Aurora. "Thherefore, out on the battlefield at the Ssportss Fesstival, I did not know how to handle my emoshuns. It seeems they built up and exploded in a way not evven my quirk could properly handle.. -Thhat iss a new one. I do not know what thiss meanss, or how to deal withh it yet.. In facct, sincce then, I havve been havving nightly -um, I shhall call them.. 'Freak outss'." It was not a scientific term.

She recalled the night back after the Sports Festival. Amaris was restless and could not get to bed. She entered her shadows, but did not feel at home. After which, she slipped out of the dorms and on into the night. Out among the trees, standing under the moonlight. She held her head, screaming in pain, as her body felt like it was being pulled in all directions. It felt like her literal skin was being ripped off of her. Of course it hadn't, but that's what it felt like. Emotions raged within her, or perhaps within the shadows. It was hard to tell. Then the ordeal passed, and she collapsed out there, to awake in the morning.

"An ordeal I do not understand. My quirk assaults me, feeling like it is trying to rip me apart. ..But that iss neithher here nor there."

She drew in yet another breath, after having carried on for so long. She was wrapping up. "Sstill, thhat, iss perhapss, no exxcuse for how I behavved at the tournament. How I acted. Or how I handled it.. Handled being togethher withh you. ..I'vve alwayss thhought mysself rathher mature.." Sadly she mumbled, "Guesss not.."

"I am ssorry for that, Aurora. Evverythhing. How I wass during the tournament. How I acted. Who I wass, perhapss sstill am. And ssorry for not exxactly being what you wanted or thhought you would receeive."

With that, she stepped back, looking up expectantly at Aurora, clutching her hands together before her. She glanced between the departing Shizui and Aurora, waiting for something. Anything.

Aurora listened the whole time not interrupting Amaris once feeling the girls weight of words as the white dressed gothic vampire spilled her heart out in a sort of double edged sword apology blaming Aurora for taking advantage of her just as much blaming herself for not choosing to understand the whole of how the rest of her emotions were working out. The taller girl simply listened all the way to the end of what Amaris had to say. There was an air of silence after Amaris had finished. Aurora simply looked at her with a blank expression for a moment before finally she spoke.

"Your right I knew what I wanted, and I thought you did to. I was more expecting of you to a point, but I never pushed Amaris I took things slow with you as you requested. I am very aware of your quirk, just as much as I am aware of the fact that you are old enough to make your own decisions like being a hero," Aurora had slightly scalded her at the end of that sentence clearly a little miffed at Amaris accusation. Aurora had never tried to take advantage of her in fact the only big thing they ever did was hand hold. However, their was instead no aggression, nor hate in Aurora eyes as she looked at Amaris. They were still as kind as ever when looking at her.

"What hurt most wasn't even with what you did that day. It's how you ignored me, and avoided me the whole time. It was quite clear you were not ready for a relationship at that point Amaris cause you lead me on just as much," Aurora sighed clearly feeling just as used as Amaris did to a point. The girl never did try to halt the break up after nor even seemed to care about Aurora's feelings on the matter with how she avoided her.

"But, your still my best friend Amaris, and always will be. That never changed," Aurora smiled bringing in Amaris for a soft hug.

Amaris returned the hug, which was something she was not known to do. Her arms wrapped around the center of the tall metal girl and squeezed. "I care about you, Aurora," she finally admitted. "Thhank you for lisstening to me." She leaned up on her tiptoes and placed a kiss to Aurora's cheek.

Finally after the hug, she stepped back, then gave a nod to the tall blonde girl. "Havve fun withh your date." With that, the white-clad vampy turned to go and return to Shun. Problem was he was no distracted by Shizui. Aurora having noticed this before hand, and knowing those two were just as much best friends as herself and Amaris decided to halt the vamp from walking into a landmine.

"Amaris come back a second dear," she called out.

The short girl saw the one girl who had just teased her was now talking with Shunsuke. She figured they would need some time together, so she turned and returned to Aurora. "Yess?"

"Since you still owe me for avoiding me this whole time how about doing a girl justice, and offering her the first dance," Aurora teased lightly touching Amari's nose.

She blinked when her nose was booped. She took a side glance back at Shun with the girl who was previously here with Aurora. Then she nodded. "Yess. I shhall.. do thhat. Let uss dancce, Aurora." She said gently, turning to her friend and stepping up before her into a dancing position, offering her hands.

Laughing a bit at Amaris attempts of offering the dance Aurora knew the girl couldn't lead to save her life so walking up closer Aurora places Amaris's hands upon her shoulders as the taller girls hands rested upon Amari's hips.

"Just follow my lead then."

Feeling there was nothing to be said, she offered a small smile, as Aurora began leading. Amaris was forced to stand a bit on her tip toes during the dance, with her hands up on her shoulders.

"So… why is Shun in a dress?" Aurora asked rather confused by the boys attire.

"I dared him to wear it," Amaris answered. "He may be regretting it. I do not know. Perssonally, I thhink he lookss good."

"Sspeaking of looking good.. You look good, Aurora. Very good." Amaris's lips curled into a cat-like grin. "Thhat girl iss pretty, too."

She feigned shock. "What? Evven emoshunlesss, I know how to apprecciate beauty."

"Heh, yes you can I believe, and thank you your not looking bad yourself," Aurora chuckled softly swinging around Amaris with a soft twirl as the two continued to dance to show off Amaris dress Aurora continued to use twirls to show Amaris off..
Amaris twirled lithely in Aurora's dance, her feet graceful and gentle. That was some of her training from her mentorship already paying off, though not quite in the way intended. With a final dramatic spin, her elegant white dress and long straightened hair fanned out, until she came to a rest in Aurora's arms. She panted a little, looking up at her dance partner. "Did you enjoy thhat?"

"It was very much fun though i think i have kept you from your date long enough," Aurora smiled bowing to Amaris for the kind dance. "GO have fun yourself tonight as well alright?"

Amaris nodded. "I will be shure to ssend yourss back to you."

..........................

The Cupitare Dance

Cupie led Jet to the dance floor, a little off the side from the main group because her partner had big appendages… like his tail. She didn't want anyone accidentally stepping on it or it hitting anyone while they danced.

Once they found their spot, Cupie looked to Jet, "You never answered my question. You know how to dance?"

"I know how to slow dance at least," Jet chuckled noting Cupies concern of his tall hurling someone as if he wasn't already cautious on that.

"Higher tempo I have no experience in though," he answered honestly of course he had attempted to learn, but his teachers had sorta failed him from Principal Gregori teaching him the incorrect ing tactics all the way to Misoka sensei flatly telling him she didn't know how to dance.

Cupie nodded once at that, "Alright, so I don't have to warn you about what happens when you step on my toes. Then you can lead me~" She told him, getting both of them into proper position… with her putting his hands around her waist and her hands going to his shoulders. "Tell me, where'd you learn to slow dance?"

"Allo, and Takagi sensei taught me. Also I watched my parents dance a little when I was younger," Jet answered with a simply look as he placed his hands around her waist he could feel a bit of nervousness kick in, yet once they started to move he calmed down.

"So… how's about you. Where did the roughest toughest cowgirl learn," he lightly teased with a toothy grin. He was having fun honestly.

"T.V." She answered with her own grin. "Back in the day I used to try out for a bunch of things behind my parents' backs. Student council, musical instruments, singing, all that shit. I entered the dancing phase and watched the people on daytime television demonstrate how to slow dance. I practiced with a broom, and that was that." Cupie shrugged, "Sorry it ain't exciting for the "roughest, toughest cowgirl," but hey, at least I learned before I could make a fool of myself here."

"Speaking of your parents, I don't think I asked. Are they Heroes? Or normal folk?" She asked him. Cupie couldn't recall a time she asked about that, but then again, she had never prodded too much into Jet's family.

"...Hmmm," Jet was not sure if he should answer that question… they weren't embarrassing or anything by any means… but…

"My mother was a special forces sniper she's retired now though. My father was a professional security tester or a legal thief they both however left that all for a simply life as hunters," Jet explained pretty sure this would either deter his chances with getting any were with her or raise some red flags. He waited for her response silently as the two peacefully and rather gracefully moved about the dance floor.

Cupie listened to him and was immediately in awe when he answered what his parents used to do. A part of her was envious, the other part completely interested.

"That's really fucking cool!" She answered, a look of awe in her eyes. "Did they ever tell you any stories from their jobs? They teach you how to be a master sniper legal thief?" Cupie would have asked more questions but she restrained herself so as to not scare off Jet with her curiosity.

"It is? Huh...well my mom taught me how to fight a gunner, and how to fight with knives. My father taught me stealth, and how to read my enemies," Jet answered clearly surprised by her excitement. He did however chuckle at her questions of stories.

"My mother told me many a story of her military days she saw a lot of action. My father's were rather tame but they hold good lessons," Jet expressed. As they continued to dance the two had unknowingly started to get closer and closer.

"And your parents I have never heard you mention them," Jet asked in kind unaware of the heaviest of weights it carried.

"Man, your parents are cool as fuck… They take payment for lessons? I'll raise as much money I can to learn from people that cool…"

Cupie, hearing his question, contemplated telling him for a bit. But, he was kind enough to tell her about his parents; it would be unfair to tell him no… However, she wasn't going to just tell him and risk the information getting out there.

She took back one of her hands from his shoulder and stuck out her pinky to him. "You have to pinky promise me that you're not gonna say anything about this. Not a damn word to anyone. And you better not break this promise or I'll never talk to you again." She knew it was childish but god dammit it was something.

After he makes the promise with her, she puts her hand back where it had been prior.

"Alright. I really, really hate my parents so I don't talk about them at all unless I have to. You were nice enough to tell me about yours, so I'm gonna tell you about mine. My dad's a sleazy salesman; sells just about everything in a department store somewhere in the suburbs. That lying bastard could show you a turd and convince you it's treasure. My mom… well, if you have internet then you've probably seen her. She gets fucked on camera for a living, goes by the porn name "Ero Sakura."

Cupie sighed, "Hmph… They're not at cool as yours. Unless you want to ask me what store my dad works at or what my mom's done in front of the camera, I want to hear more about your parents."

Well that as a lot to take in… Jet didn't have a initial response as he was requested to take a vow of silence on the matter. It was clear she had a rather non existent relation with then down right to being ashamed of them.

"I am sorry for asking," Jet finally responded amid his silence his hands gripping her a bit tightly bit really knowing how to consol someone on this matter.

"Well my mother loves to hunt that is how I got into it. She believes in living off the land, and being one with nature. My father's a bit more a modern person, but is rather supportive of my mom's style my sister takes more after him," he explained as she had requested. He continued to talk hoping to ease Cupies thoughts until finally the song was over.

"Hey, better I tell you sooner than later, hm?" She told him with a smile. At least now Jet knew not to ask about her parents anymore, and that was one less conversation about them that she would have to have.

She listened to him, but just as she was about to ask about his sister the song ended. Cupie hummed, having enjoyed the dance but she knew there was only so much they could do before they ran out of topics. Then it would just be awkward so… better to run out of conversation now than later.

"That was fun~ Make sure to save me more dances, okay?" Cupie pinched his cheek a bit, "And have fun, make friends, do Jet things. I dunno. But I'll be around if you need me~" With that, she pulled away from him. She gave him a smile and wave before heading back to the snack table. Jet simply watched her go off of course she had friends she wanted to converse and dance with and will her would respect that. He did however feel out of place on his own. So much so that it was a bit awkward for him as he trailed about on his own until he was meet with a curious sight... Ichirou dancing with another male student.

"...want me with ah indeed he was with Kanna," Jet could not only see but feel the frustration from Kanna as she watched her date dance with the other male, and it seemed it doubled as she noted the boy Shun in the dress. It made sense with how her life was tempered that she would be furious with Ichi dancing with someone else much less another boy. So before Ichi could dig his own grave any further and setting how Kanna was one of his few friends he walked over to her properly bowing as he offered his hand.

"Maybe a dance to distract you?"

Covering her mouth with her hand, Charlotte almost choked on her drink as she heard Ayame's answer. The girl likely knew she was cute, but it seemed she wasn't really versed in style exactly, or at least formal event wardrobe like this. The others were probably right to correct her, though Charlotte had to admit that she wanted to see this panda dress.

"That sounds so cute~" Charlotte cheered, petting the girl on the head once more. "...But, it doesn't sound very formal. Besides, if you wore it I'm pretty sure Aurora and I would be chasing you around."

Chuckling at that, the panda was perhaps a bit too cute for her own good. However, despite that, Charlotte felt a bit sorry that she didn't seem to be having fun nor had anyone approach her. Glancing over her shoulder a moment, she spotted a certain someone being a loner by the buffet table and smirked a moment before returning her attention to Ayame.

"It is Izou, but we're not here together... He's with his mom, and for some reason she doesn't really want him around the school anymore. Who could say?" Leaving it at that for an explanation, one wasn't necessary to understand why someone wouldn't want their loved ones near the school. "You should have a dance at least... I'm sure someone's going to invite you fairly soon."

With that said, Charlotte stood up from her seat with a wave and goodbye to go dispose of her dishes, then proceeding to the one she saw before. Taking the long way around the banquet, Charlotte approached Masaru from behind, intent on surprising him. Floating up a short height to be at head level, she angled herself right next to his ear to jump him.

"Boo! What happened to your arm candy?"

The boy was visibly startled at her surprise attack, the drink in his hand jumping slightly and the liquid about to spill. Though, Masaru did recover, freezing it in the class to prevent a mess. This did lead to him turning a fairly grumpy face toward the girl.

"In the restroom... The hell happened to you?" Masaru was irritated, but given the girl's appearance, easily distracted from the topic at hand.

"Amaris and I traded styles for the night. We thought it'd be fun!" Charlotte defended, floating back down to stand. "Either way, if your date is indisposed and you're just going to sit here with a grumpy mug, I need you to do something."

Raising a brow, Charlotte asking for a favor was rarely something to trust.

"Go dance with Ayame! No one's asked her and she's not having any fun."

"W-Why are you asking me?" Masaru replied, taken aback.

"Because, everyone else is being social and doesn't need to be forced to converse. Also, I'm not that close with any of the boys. Half of the ones I knew left school and that leaves you, Ichirou, Killian, and Shun. Ichirou is here with Kanna, and I don't want to put a target on Ayame's back. Killian is over their painting a target on his own back by dancing with Ichirou, and I think Ayame would appreciate a boy not in a dress to ask her."

Watching the smaller girl explain with a pout on her face, Masaru let out a sigh.

"That's... fair... Fine. It's just... awkward."

"You make it awkward. You've got a nice face and you're good-natured. If you had some initiative, you could have your pick of the girls. Ayame doesn't bite... Well, maybe. I don't really know if panda's bite. Either way~" With that the girl shoves Masaru's arm and goes off to socialize with some of the others, noticing a grouping of a few of the boys. Notably, it consisted of Isamu and the boy from the Sports Festival wearing a rather flashy outfit, as well as the other that had an uncanny resemblance to a certain departed student.

"Well, well, if it isn't Isamu and... ah, Gold Finger! Enjoying yourselves?" Remembering the boy's stage name as it were, Charlotte smiled, then looking at the other one who she recalled held a fairly similar quirk to hers. "I don't think we've met. I'm Charlotte."

With a sigh, Masaru set down his now frozen drink as the pixie went her own way. Glancing over towards the tables, he spotted Ayame eating alone. He wasn't good with these sort of things. It always felt so weird, but Charlotte was right in a way. He wasn't quite sure whether his looks or personality were lower or higher than the bar, or somewhere in between, but it was a bit silly to act so frozen in these circumstances.

As he made his way his way over to the table, Masaru took a seat next to Ayame. At least the girl was easy to speak with.

"So the midget already terrorized you for the night?" He inquired, though whether it was an attempt at a joke or it held some seriousness was debatable. Likely both. "At least you still have your food, you got off easy."

Small talk, or complaining about Charlotte, was one thing, but asking her for a dance was another. Even though he initially resolved itself, Masaru was already beginning to hesitate again somewhat.

"Hey... Did you... want to dance?" Masaru finally inquired, rubbing the back of his neck a bit awkwardly. "I just figured... It kind of sucks standing over there by myself and you didn't seem to be having much fun yourself so... I don't know anything too fancy, but I know basics."

Kanna Tanaka - Ayame Daichi - UA Dance

Briefly distracted by her urge to 'question' and 'talk' to Killian, the Miko's stare stays fixed to his back for the longest times, till she turns to face Shun. "Hmm, not. I had expected as much from the start. The City is strange and our class stranger still. If not for Ichirou's invitation I likely would not have came at all."

With the Priestess, Honesty was the best policy. Before she could comment on what she thought of the dress however and elaborate more on how strange this class was, she is stopped by a sudden question. Jet was there, not just there, but to ask for a dance.

"Oh? Trying to protect the European are we?" staring at him with a semi hostile glare to her eyes, they soften briefly. "I Assume that is also what Shun came here for as well... But very well, I might, if it is something slow or traditional.." Gazing at him and then elsewhere.

"I hope not." Ayame says in regards to being asked to dance soon, thinking on it, likely had a lot to do with him losing an Arm. Still at least she understood that the dress was cute. Ayame has some assets, physically, though not in the way of Charlotte, Kanna or Aurora, she at least considered herself better looking than Cupie and Amaris as example... But she was more cute than sexy, so she tried to play that up.

Before she could say anything else, Charlotte had vanished. Looking pack at her tray she sighs. "Don't bother." Eating more of her food she was soon again disturbed, half expecting Charlotte, it was in fact a male, speaking to her.. Masaru.

"Umm..I don't really want to dance.. And Charlotte is mostly nice to me, well, she pets me a lot.. And I'm guessing she made you come over here.." Feeling a bit bad for him at that.. He would likely need to deal with Charlotte and he was alone.

"B-but umm.. I can dance with you If you like! A simple dance for us both would do well! Oor we can sit here or both..well one or the other." She says leaving the matter with him, as she gets up from her seat.

"You're telling me," Shunsuke responded to Kanna with a small chuckle regarding the strangeness of their class. He was likely no exception in her eyes given his dress though. "Honestly, found that out early on. Especially when Amaris dared me to wear a dress here," he added a small explanation for the current circumstances. "I thought about backing out. I much prefer suits, but a man should never go back on his word." In truth, Shunsuke was sure that Amaris would have understood, but she had seemed to be so gung ho about it at first. What was a little embarrassment for a little fun here and there. Plus, he'd made a new friend out of it. Two actually, if he counted Charlotte, which he did.

Still, as he spoke to Kanna, Jet came over to invite her to dance. It seemed as though he'd been beaten to the punch. "You're assumption is way off though," he said before she could be led away. "I thought I'd invite you to dance, have no idea who I would have been protecting." Shunsuke was, if nothing else, honest. "I do hope you're able to have some fun though. Dancing can be a great deal more enjoyable than the event itself. There's a certain elegance to it. I can be almost like a battle of sorts. Maybe not as epic, but it does have the potential to be just as good an experience. With the right partner that is." With that Shunsuke began to walk away. "I won't hold you up any longer Kanna, I hope the two of you have fun." And like that, he was off once more.

As he strolled away, he'd wondered if Amaris was done. She'd seemed to have just finished a dance with Aurora. Hopefully that had gone well. He waved to her as he made his way back to the snack table. He breathed out a sigh. He could feels stares here and there. It didn't bother him as much as one might have thought, but it sure was annoying. He thought about it for a second, before bumping into someone. A pink haired girl.

"Wha?!" he gasped for a second, shocked out of his thoughts as he suddenly interrupted her eating.

Collab with @Jessica2477
Cupie had arrived to the snack table once more, this time filling a plate rather than taking a snack and downing it like no one's business. She was still hungry and wanted to at least fill her stomach before heading to the dance floor and burning off calories with whoever wanted to be near her.

As she was eating a piece of a small piece of cake, Cupie was bumped to the point of nearly dropping her food but managed to save it. She then turned around and with full cheeks and an angry look on her face.

"OI! WHGH T-... whgh tuh fghck." Cupie swallowed the food she had in her mouth before speaking. "First, what the fuck. Second, nice dress. Lose a bet or something?" Cupie asked.

Shunsuke found himself staring down an understandably annoyed girl whose meal had been stopped. He took a step back, clapping his hands together. "Must have spaced out for a second there," he said quickly before she commented on the dress.

"Amaris dared me." A simple yet effective answer. He shrugged reaching up to rub the back of his head. "Sorry, umm, Pinky," he said with a small laugh.

"No, seriously, I'm Shunsuke." He held out his hand to shake with his greeting. "We're in class together, right?" He knew her, but he figured after bumping into her, just knowing her name from class and stuff would have come off creepy. Probably. Right? Yeah, better not risk it.

"Amaris huh?" Cupie looked him up and down. The dress didn't look to fit him tight, and seemed to fit well, so it was either a dress for a fat busty woman or it was tailored to his size. She wasn't going to question it too much. "Well, that's certainly something. Dress looks good on you I guess, just wasn't expecting. You better own it like the bad bitch you are though; Go big or go home as I always say."

Cupie started munching on some of her food again. "Nomnomnomnom…" She swallowed, "Right right, one of the new guys. Nice to meetcha Grape Juice. I'm Emika, but call me Cupie. I only respond to Cupie unless some kind of emergency happens and you forget or somethin'. Nomnomnomnom" More food in her mouth before asking her next question. "You saw the tournament right? I didn't see you on the roster, so you wanna tell me your quirk? Maybe a bit about yourself since we're already here?"

Hearing her introduction Shunsuke couldn't help but laugh a bit. "Heh, Cupie huh?" He asked with a small grin. "Maybe I oughta call you Pinky Pie instead. Certainly fits the bill, if we're giving each other nicknames," he teased a bit after she'd called him Grape Juice.

Shunsuke steppes over to the table behind her though, grabbing a piece of cake for himself. He ate a few bites before looking her up and down again. "I wasn't on the roster cause I came late, but I can harden parts of my body, or my whole body, super strength, high defense, etc." he gave a brief summary of his quirk, leaving out some of the more important bits. "You were really impressive in the tournament though. And it was funny to see you wail on that guy after he tried to steam roll you." Shunsuke laughed a bit more remembering the footage.

Cupie couldn't help but chuckle, "Pinky Pie hm? Well Grape Juice, how about I call you Twilight Sparkle instead since we're going the pony route. Didn't know my new classmate was a brony." She joked, grinning at him.

She took a mental note of the other's quirk before making a comment. "Sheesh. How many strong people we gonna have in this cla-nomnomnomnom." She didn't even finish her sentence before she ate and swallowed her next bite of food.

At the mention of what happened between her and Heisuke she couldn't help but laugh too. "That bastard was gonna kill me if that shit hit! I just got mad and had to teach him a lesson the Cupie way." The Cupie way always came with some sort of pain and embarrassment. "Anyway, you seem like a cool dude. You talk to the rest of the class yet? Someone like you is always a breath of fresh air."

Shunsuke seemed perplexed at the notion of being called Twilight Sparkle. He pondered or for a moment. "Well that makes no sense," he said with a small smirk, leaning gingerly against the table, as he took another bite of cake. "According to the kids from mom and dad's afternoon karate classes, I'm a Big Mac," he said before laughing. "Still, given your knowledge, you must be a fan yourself."

Shunsuke turned and grabbed two drinks for him and Cupie, doing so with relative ease and quickness. "Anyway, don't sell yourself short. Your plenty strong far as I can tell. It's not all about brute strength." He held out her drink before taking a sip of his own. "And don't you mean teach him a lesson the Pinky Pie way?" He teased a bit before scanning the crowd.

"I've talked to a bunch of people. Some briefly, some a bit more. I've already trained with some people and sparred too…" he paused for a second. "Hey what do you mean someone like me?"

"Tch," Cupie grinned back, "I'm no fan, and the only Big Mac I know is the burger. I just know that the Twilight bitch pony has purple hair, like you." She answered back, giving him a playful nudge of her elbow. "Hmph, I know two ponies you know three. Looks like you're still the brony here, buddy."

When Shunsuke left and came back with drinks, Cupie took one with a "thank you" and took a sip to wash down the sugar she could feel stuck in her throat. "Cupie way, Pinky Pie way; As long as you know that my way usually involves some kind of physical violence I'll call it whatever." She took another sip of her drink and listened to him. Seems he was already becoming acquainted with most of the class.

Then there was the question of "someone like him." Cupie paused to think of an answer. She didn't want to tell him the whole story about Makoto and freak him out… It would kill the conversation and surface all of the emotions she didn't want happening right now. Especially not in front of a huge crowd of people.

"Let's just say we had another guy here like you. Friendly, cool as fuck, chill dude. He's gone, but he was the kind of guy who was a great friend to everyone. There's never really any drama between students in this class or anything like that, but it's always nice to have a person that everyone can be themselves to. If my gut is right, you seem like that kind of dude. Friendly, cool, and chill. Am I right or am I right?" She asked him with a smile.

Shunsuke couldn't help but laugh. "Well, who would complain about being compared to a burger? But you seem awfully defensive about your taste in cartoon." He laughed a little more before taking another sip from his drink. Truth be told, even though he wasn't dancing, wasn't being active, he was having fun talking to Cupie.

"Just be careful who you unleash your fury on. I wouldn't want my new bud getting into a sticky situation she couldn't get out of."

Still, as she continuing speaking, Shunsuke could see her try to put it into words. She must have been talking about the kid who's died. New reports and talks with Masaru during training aside he'd heard a bit. He wouldn't pry as she seemed to have been close to the guy. But if this was how she viewed him, Shunsuke knew the comparison wasn't to be taken lightly. "He sounds like he was a pretty great guy," he said as he placed a hand on her shoulder.

"But you're right," he said before shrugging nonchalantly. "You forgot incredibly strong and good looking, but I'll let that slide." He gave the girl a wink, nudging her back to let her know he was joking. What kind of tool would be that arrogant… about anything other than their battle prowess? What did looks have to do with anything.

She liked this one.

He teased, had comebacks, and knew how to turn things around on her. It was fun talking to him, she had to admit. She had yet to talk to the rest of the new transfers, but if they were like this guy, then she was going to enjoy Class 1A way more.

"Psh. Don't worry about me. There's a reason I'm not dead yet." She assured him, taking another bite of her food and quickly swallowed. When he replied about Makoto, she nodded in agreement. "You know it."

Cupie, however, was happy that she hadn't been eating anything when Shunsuke joked about him being incredibly strong and good looking. She bursted out laughing; not because what he said was untrue but because it was unexpected. "Sheesh, don't forget humble. I woulda went on a long list of positives before throwing in "and I'm humble" somewhere in the middle to catch them off guard. Maybe say you have a big dick too just to throw them off a little more." Cupie told him, Shunsuke earning a big smile from her. "Well Twilight Grape Juice, I don't want to keep you from your date too long. Save me a dance before tonight ends; call it a dance among new buddies, alright?"

Shunsuke nodded along before she surprised him as he had her with her little joke about rattling off self-compliments. He laughed and said, "I'll keep that in mind for next time." he smirked and leaned a bit closer to her, whispering, "Although I'm pretty sure guys with big dicks don't talk about having big dicks, Pinky Pie." With that said he stepped away from her. He'd interrupted her meal long enough. And despite the light blush on his face from briefly exiting his comfort zone he was satisfied with the result.

The interaction had certainly been one of the simpler meetings he'd had thus far. Each was interesting in its own way. And as he began to walk away he gave a small wave of his hand,. "Course I'll save you a dance." Still, as he parted ways with his new acquaintance, Shunsuke couldn't help but turn back for a brief second, saying, "Oh and I'm sorry I interrupted you're meal, Kirby" he teased with a playful wink and a grin. "I hope you enjoy the rest of your food!" He barely waited to see if he got a reaction before turning away once more to go dance a bit more and find Amaris.

Certainly his date would be up for another dance with him about now right? Or even just a talk. Maybe she was hungry? Should he have grabbed her something? Maybe he was thinking too much. Oh well, she'd probably find him soon anyway. And Amaris would likely be forward enough if she did need something. There was no need to worry.

Departing from Aurora, her heeled feet carried her across the dance floor, weaving in and out of bodies gyrating to the lull of the music. It was almost enough to get the girl swept up in. Still, there was a more pressing matter. Her stomach. She realized she had come to the dance on an empty stomach. She hadn't nommed a thing beforehand. Which was a mistake, to be sure.

Yet, she was really on her way back over to Shunsuke, having left him for awhile. On the way there, she passed by the girl she saw with Aurora. Pointing back to her, she said in passing, "Shhe's jusst thhat way."

A moment later, Amaris was nearing the tables with the various finger foods laid out on them. Her eyes quickly scanned what was provided, then she spotted Shunsuke searching for her. Unfortunately, while there were various finger meats, nothing provided struck her fancy; it was obvious the caterers did not have a living vampire in mind. With a final stomach growl to ignore, she patted her belly, before making her way over to the purple-haired boy.

Returning to Shun, Amaris decided to break the ice. "Misss me? uwu."

"I could just want to dance with a friend to," Jet chuckled slightly as Kanna was easily distracted he cowardly took her hands and took her to the dance floor keeping his hands respectively on her sides as they began to dance. At first their was complete silence but once the rhythm took over Jet started to speak.

"So Ichi is a interesting choice. I must say I am a tad worried as he is popular one hopefully he's been respectful," Jet asked as he slowly twirled Kanna before bringing her back in.

"Though I guess I shouldn't assume things your surely not testing him yet without testing the waters I take it," Jet asked his friend curious to how Ichirou had been acting to this situation to become a reality.

"N-No, that's alright... No point in doing something you don't want," Masaru replied with a light laugh. "I'm honestly not much for dancing either... Regardless, I'll take sitting here over standing alone over there if you don't mind."

Sighing, Masaru rested his arms on the table. He was far too out of his element at this dance, and Charlotte telling him to go dance with people didn't help. It seemed like Ayame wasn't all to in her element either, though unlike him being a bit awkward she more of seemed like she was trying to avoid most of the interactions.

"Well, you two are kind of similar. Easier to prank me, or Ichirou, or Shunsuke, or pretty much anyone else than it is you probably." The girl was often hiding up in some high, unseen place. Tricksters and pranksters probably didn't make targets out of each other too often when there was other prey so to speak. That, and Charlotte really liked animals, so Ayame would definitely get some easy points.

As Jet took the lead in bringing her out on the field, she smiles thinly.

"Oh? I would have not figured the wild man from the hills to be such a good dancer. Nor so pointed in questions." Once more leaving it a question just how aware of things around her she was, the Priestess goes along with the dance.

"He's not in trouble with me. Rather the one that was last with him is.. Or maybe he will be." After the next movement of the dance, she comes back up, her dark brown hair showing signs of darkening with maturity as she pauses briefly.

"Testing the waters? What ever do you mean? Ichirou invited me here after all, ah, I see, what a vulgar line of thought, any relationship with me would have to be a sure and long term thing, then there is the Family test that one must pass. As a Priestess I cannot just be passed around or handed off to a man of weak morals and weak commitments... So Mister Jet, who did you come with here and was a dance all you wanted of me, the clock will run it's course soon."

Of course Masaru would take it poorly.. Reaching out she bops him on the nose. More of a gentle tap than any force behind it she frowns and sighs. "Masaru. This is why I say you are boring. You always look so sad and you over think things, you are a good person but you jump at ever little provocation and little thing thrown your way and you have the strangest of luck.

I seen enough of your hobbies to know you could NOT be boring if you just stopped worrying on how to present yourself to others, then you do strange things randomly, like when you grabbed my arm to freeze me. Relax a bit Masaru. If I were angry about you being here I would scratch you. I can't lie though, haha! I rather not be at this at all!"

Returning to her food, Ayame moves an apple over towards him. "There is no rule that says we can't sit and talk! And..I guess me and Charlotte have a sorta understanding I mean.." Picking up another apple her self, she nibbles a bit of it, then swallows, continuing to speak.

"You don't seem to like being here any more than I do and I know charlotte means well, so at least you can sit here with me, it's fine really, I doubt any unfortunate accidents with me will happen to you here."

Yosuke felt his stomach growl again at the mention of food. "You know what, yeah I'll join you. More food has never harmed anybody, right?" Isamu asked what he meant by being all better. Yosuke started scratching the back of his head and chuckled a bit as he told him everything that happened. "Oh it wasn't much. I just got really sick after mentorships. I wouldn't let my body quit during them so it decided to quit immediately after." As he fixed himself another plate and filled his mouth with a quick handful, he started speaking, his mouth still full. "Sho shorry for being dishtant fhor sho long, -gulp- I really did want to make friends with everyone. It was just that with the mentorships and getting sick I was busy all the time."

Just then, Charlotte, his opponent from the sports festival approached him, calling him by his hero name, which really made him smile. He straightened his posture. "Feel free to call me Yosuke right now. I'm not doing any heroing or training right now. Speaking of heroing, how was everyone's Mentorships? Anything interesting happen? Mine was mostly training, but it was very insightful!"

He went back and started eating another helping of food before biting off a bit more than he could swallow, pounding on his chest as it slowly and painfully slid down his throat. "Ow, too much..." He saw a few other classmates were dancing with one another, and made sure that he'd get the next one, as he shifted the weight on his feet. They were cramping a little bit right now.

Heisuke couldn't help but chuckle over his friend's enthusiasm, Isamu's general attitude was an exact opposite of Heisuke and while most would think that their friendship wouldn't work, Heisuke's pessimism helps balance out Isamu's optimism. Even though he wasn't really excited to talk to others, he really didn't want to disappoint Isamu and decided to go with the flow of things, if Isamu could give him a chance then it was fair for him to give someone else a shot. "Fine but you better not leave me alone to talk to them, I will kill you." He smirked at him and immediately shook his head at his friend's second suggestion, he would rather die.

After hearing a noise coming from behind him, he noticed a pink-headed boy across the hall who began shouting at them, he immediately remembered that it was Yosuke who he had not seen for a while though they hardly interacted. "You shouldn't put all the blame on yourself, there's been a lot going on the last couple of months." Heisuke took a small sip from his drink and took a second to think about the past 3 months, things had changed for the male, a lot of good and bad, but he was pushing through it. "Besides we got 4 years of socializing for that right?"

Looking over to his side, he saw a girl with Neopolitan colored hair who came to join their chat circle, it took a second for the male to reply to the girl when he realized she was talking to him. "I don't think so either, I'm Heisuke, though I do think I remember you from the sports festival, you did well out there." Which was probably the best you could get out a compliment from Heisuke.

Smirking back, the boy didn't seem any worse for wear. It was good that there was no awkwardness since the two had fought. However, he seemed upbeat and gleeful.

"Slow down, don't want to end the dance on a hospital trip," Charlotte warned the pink-haired boy. "Mine was fine. Facundo Sensei helped me with my quirk and gave me some combat training, though I've still got a ways to go... Still, I have an idea on how to focus and apply my quirk now."

Charlotte had never received any actual training for her quirk before, so she had practically been coasting on base aptitude. As well as she was keeping on with the others, almost everyone else seemed to have some idea of how to fight. It would be quite an effort to catch up in that regard.

"Nice to meet you, Hei, and thank you. You did fairly well yourself. I hope you didn't mind me trying to steal your tactic at the end there," Charlotte stated, referring to his collapsing of the arena in an attempt to incapacitate Kanna. Letting out somewhat of a sheepish chuckle. "Unfortunately, Aurora had the same idea as you saw..."

Thinking on it, the boy had a quirk similar to her own, though unlike her, he had some combat experience despite that. It kind of pushed the point at how behind she was when it came to training, though somehow she had managed to scrape by.

Blinking as the girl suddenly tapped him on the nose, Masaru couldn't say he expected Ayame's speech, but it did hit some points, even if a bit blunt. As she spoke about his behavior and his luck, the boy let out a tired sigh.

"Please, don't tell me about my luck. I'm quite aware," Masaru said, his interactions with Ichirou coming to mind. "Either way... it's not like I don't know that I act rigid, but I can't really control it. It takes a while for me to loosen up."

Once he got used to someone he was fine. He wasn't really awkward around Makoto. He could talk back to Charlotte and shit talk with Cupie-Somewhat. He had to admit she was far better than he was. Even Ichirou he felt relatively comfortable around. Well, comfortable in the sense he didn't have to watch much what he did or say, though with his luck he could never truly let his guard down.

Taking the apple, Masaru let out a sigh before he took a bite, munching a few times before he continued.

"And I can't help it, my face naturally defaults to this!" Masaru replied with a minor pout, then pausing as he registered one thing she said. "Wait... What hobbies and how do you know what they are? Aside from me liking comics and training. And you said you liked the cold, so I made it cold."

Though he couldn't deny that coming here wasn't his first choice. It wasn't as if he specifically didn't want to be here, more of it wasn't his preference. Ergo, he wouldn't come her alone, yet tonight he was asked by Adelaide who had departed to the bathroom. Perhaps that was why he was even more on edge than usual.

"By your own statement, if you really disliked it you would've scratched me, huh?"

Just like that, Amaris had returned to Shunsuke's side. "Maybe, I did," he responded with a playful nudge. He'd certainly found ways to occupy his time in her absence. There was a complex simplicity to her that he found oddly interesting to be around as confusing as that may have seemed. Plus, they had never truly finished their dance! He smiled down at her. "Did you miss me?" He grinned before taking a quick look around, finding not only Aurora, but Octavia once more as well.

Shunsuke wrapped his arm around the small girl and pulled her a bit closer. They had a bit of catching up to do... mostly from her. "And how did things go?" His voice was a bit softer this time. Part of him had been a bit worried about her the whole time she'd been gone. Things couldn't have been that easy for her. Even if they'd gone smoothly, he could acknowledge that it must have been a bit tough for her to put herself out there.

"I managed to have a bit of fun myself, in case you were wondering," he paused briefly, looking her over, almost inspecting her. "But the way, have you eaten yet tonight?" he asked calmly. He'd managed to get himself a snack, but had she? Maybe he was thinking too much again. He seemed to be doing that more lately. It made his head hurt...

"As if I'd leave you on your own," Isamu said with a small laugh. He'd thought about it, but somehow he was sure Heisuke would either make his bad relationships worse, or make new enemies altogether. Nope, no way was Isamu letting that happen. "But you're still welcome to try and kill me if ya want." Maybe Isamu had gotten a bit more sure of his new abilities.

Soon Charlotte joined their little group. This was probably for the best. Especially if it gave Heisuke a chance to socialize more. "H-hey Charlotte. Hope you're having a good time tonight," he said. As more people came he seemed to get a bit more nervous, but it was nothing he couldn't handle. Probably. Plus, the girl may have been a trickster, but Isamu didn't think she was a bad person or anything. She was pretty fun in fact. For the most part. Not like they hung out much. Maybe he needed to get out there as much as Heisuke...

Still, Isamu listened to Yosuke speak, nodding along while munching on some of the table snacks. It seemed that Yosuke had been having a hard time of his own, though that could have been said about anybody. Still, he couldn't imagine getting sick right after his mentorship. Chimera have not allowed such a thing, but even if she had been unable to prevent it, he wouldn't have been able to bear the shame of getting sick on her like that. He shook his head as Yosuke asked about their own mentorships. He couldn't help, but chuckle thinking about all of it. It was scary, but in a way that he couldn't help but look back fondly on. Maybe he shouldn't say that out loud. It would surely get a weird look or two.

"Heisuke is right Yosuke,
surprisingly," he added in the last word as a bit of a jab at his taller friend. "Everyone has been having a bit of a tough time, but I think the mentorships have become something we all needed." Isamu smiled thinking about how far he'd come. "I know mine was a big turning point for me. I pumped for the rest of the school year. I can't wait to learn along side everyone and get stronger." His enthusiasm seemed to be bubbling over a bit. After so many days and months of being down in the dump, of knocking himself down, he was about ready to try and lift himself and others up.

"But what do you mean she did well out there?" Isamu couldn't help but ask Heisuke. "She did amazing!" he cheered, although he maintained a more apt volume for the conversation. "She got to the finals!" That was a little louder. In truth, he thought everyone did well. But he would have been lying if he said he hadn't excited to see someone who wasn't much taller, or even much stronger, than he was make it that far. It was inspiring really. "She was all, 'Pow! Bam! Boom!' even facing some of the powerhouses of the class!"

Ayame Daichi - UA Dance

"Well be more, myserious with it! Not like that edgelord from before, but you know like some sort of fancy noble guy! I mean you are handsome enough to pull that off..err..w-well I think, from TV and anime.." Shrugging as he went on, there wasn't anything she could do about his face, though he did seem pretty brooding with it.

"Oh! Say meaningful and long things! Then people will think you have some sort of Mysterious Darkness!"

She wasn't sure herself why she was running with him being a JRPG Protagonist, but it was something at least.

As he continued on, he asked the question that would normally get her jumping out of her chair and running away at a neck break pace. But she felt bad for him.. Plus he had been nice to her mostly..

"You should ask before you just grab people! You did that as you didn't believe me! Hmph! A-as to the rest..I do pay attention to you all, you don't have much outside of your books and workouts and swordplay, but books are interesting at times more than some people. Err you came here with Adelaide didn't you? I.." Frowning a bit she didn't much like it, sighing a bit.

"I could go look for her or ask Kanna to. I mean..I just... I don't want to ditch you like that if you want to talk.." She makes her offer to set about trying to track Adelaide down for him, while it was nice to have someone to talk to, this all couldn't be goo on him. "I..see how much some of them make fun of you so if that would make you a little happy that would be nice.. Also next time leave ice for me to play in, just don't grab me.. Or ask first."

"I do not know what it meanss to mi.." She paused, holding her tongue. "Of coursse. UwU." She said, posing with her hands up like "vicious" claws.

When he pulled her close she lowered her hands and looked up at him. She was unsure why the male was holding her close like this, where she was practically forced to place her hand against his chest as she was held in the crook of his body. Amaris couldn't help but stare up at him, with a bit of heat coming up to her cheeks.

At least she could focus on talking about something else. Rather than the physical closeness between a female and a male.

"Thesse type of convversashuns are not my forte, sincce I sstruggle with the emoshunal side of thhings. Howevver.. It went quite fine, I would ssay. I managed to work thhingss out withh the others who I had offhended." She lowered her head. "I did not know what would happen when I began sspeaking; it can be hard to read othhers. It appearss they do not hate me, sso thhat iss somethhing of a 'win', as-s they ssay."

He told her he had fun, which she struggled to understand. She did not know what 'fun' was in particular, but she could tell you the conversations she had gone through were not that. She had not been wondering as he said, but did not say so, thinking there was no reason to tell him that. Instead, she decided to continue the conversation, thinking he wanted to chat about such things. "Thhat iss good. I did not mean to leavve you, jusst had somethhing I needed to acknowledge and take care of." Though he knew that, since he had literally just brought it up. She cocked her head. "Fun how?" she decided to venture, seeing as how he had brought it up. She figured that meant he wanted to tell her about it.

He changed the subject. Her stomach ached, but she pushed it down. "No. I havve not." She blinked up at him, then pulled a bit out of his hold and grabbed a finger bite of chicken, plopping it into her mouth. "Why do you assk?" There was a part of her that did not want to dwell on her hunger. So she, herself, decided to change the subject. She opted to suggest, "Forget about thhat. Why don't we dancce, Shhunssuke?"
