I never deleted it. Help! :-( I was working so hard on it...And I think I was going to back it up today too :-(

Yep, that's the nice thing about how the PM system works: you can't actually delete it off the site of your own volition, you only leave it and other participants can hold on to it no problem. I believe they're deleted if all parties leave though, so good thing your RP partner didn't make the same mistake. :D

Thankfully he still had it.. *wipes brow*
But I bet my life on it..that I know I never deleted it..what could have happened?
 
I have a theory, you accidentally left the conversation. :)
