If there is one thing I am a firm believer is that the type of music someone listens to, speaks more volumes about them, than the words they say.

So, what are some songs that speak to you?

Currently I am stuck on this song, errr warning there might be some curse words

both of these, and many others I may post later. This especially goes for State of Dreaming.

by the way, the video you linked says it's not available. It doesn't say 'it's not available in your country' so I don't think it's just a Canada thing.

Then look it up

U - Kendrick Lamar

Just listen to the first couple lines of this, at the very least.

There's a real feeling of sheer exhaustion in that opening. And... I've been feeling that a lot lately. In more ways than one. >_>

I might come back with other songs later. But, this was the first thing that came to mind.

The Smiths, any song, cuts down and speaks directly to my soul. Their lyrics very honest.

I always like to view the beauty of the world and not rush life, and to me this song is both beauty and relaxation.

Actually this song also speaks heavily to me as well. Look we're friends now

Got me through some damn cold nights.

I really do find it 'Strangely Beautiful'. The slow starting and then the buildup makes me think of someone who starts from the ashes but eventually overcomes obstacles to stand tall.

This is pretty much the same, but it gives me a more reminiscing feeling, as if someone's going through their memories, good and bad, before finally moving forward to something better.

This song speaks me to a lot. It's really hard to choose or "All The Love in The World" and pretty much anything from the "With Teeth" album

This too.

It depends on what part of my life I'm looking at and how I feel, but there have been just a couple songs that I've really taken to listening to when I feel like shite or when I am thinking over my past.

I'm just going to list three of my top most pensive songs that I'm not ashamed of.

This continues to define to me what it is to be a man.

I wasn't sure about posting these, they are from my teenage years, but man, they still hit the feels so hard for me. I narrowed it down to three, after I spammed poor @Seiji with all my highschool playlists XD

Three more.

iamamiwhoami - 't'

"behind all insecurity, there is a wall of assurance
she is her own worst enemy - she fights her battles for no one

let it sink in for a new beginning, you know better now
water fills her lungs and she's inhaling, you feel better now
underneath the stars her body's sinking, you do better now

a heavy sigh, then not a sound."

sia - big girls cry

"I may cry, ruining my makeup
Wash away all the things you've taken
And I don't care if I don't look pretty
Big girls cry when their hearts are breaking
Big girls cry when their hearts are breaking
Big girls cry when their hearts are breaking

I wake up, I wake up, I wake up
I wake up, I wake up, I wake up
I wake up, I wake up, I wake up
I wake up, I wake up, I wake up,
I wake up alone."

garbage - medication

"Somebody get me out of here
Tearing at myself
Nobody gives a damn about me, or anybody else.

And still you call me co-dependent
Somehow you lay the blame on me
And still you call me co-dependent

Somehow you lay the blame on me."
