Murder Game III: Welcome to Silent Hill

It's Aiden Pearce, it appears he's just woken up.
Oh. Well I guess some one did die...*she looks over the man to see if he had anything that could help her escape. She didn't care about others right now. She only wanted to go home, or find a way back to being alive*

(Wow when did I die )

Matt looked at himself. He was different, an entire year surpassed him of the entire scenario from Silent Hill. The portal in which they entered was a gateway to the world "Raccoon City." Certainly not a New York City, but it pleased him, made of think of his true home. It was also another year of lies. Apparently, he was selected out of a group of survivors from Silent Hill that he was a 'traitor." Somehow, since he was never part of a group, only being a friend of Regina. He thought of her sometimes, as they never saw each other after The Years Passing. He was recruited into the Raccoon City Police Department, starting from the top down. 1997... He remembered. He left the NYPD, after killing three thugs who were doing an armed robbery at a bar.. His bullet bounced off the street, hitting a seven year old girl directly in the eye, killing her instantly. It remained several inches buried in her head. He ignored those moments, and was now a Detective Grade III Again, patrolling the streets of Raccoon City.

ROUND FIVE:
“1997”

Ellie hesitated, looking behind her, a sly smile crept across her face and finally, it was over. She swore a bright sunny dawn crept up over Silent Hill, it's soft, welcoming breeze washing over Lakeside Amusement Park – the damnedable place – a Hell on Earth, as many would agree. Looking down, the silver key marked 'REDEMPTION' clicked loudly against an archaic metal gate, a portal leading from Silent Hill into the real world...

The Halo of the Sun flickered on and off, as if demanding you stayed.

Fuck you.

And fuck that.

The twin gates creaked open, and you're engulfed by a bright white light...

MOMENTS LATER...

You wake up. For the final time.
You woke up in a hospital, a slew of medical staff, all lead by a 'Doctor Hamilton' surrounds you, shining a white flashlight in your eye, “This one's good. Nurse Garland, how about Mr. Pierce?” She frowns, shaking her head and examining his vitals—it appears he's been electrocuted to death—but the medical staff is unsure of HOW. A police report is filed. Oh, and Matt isn't a traitor. He, too, appears to have waken up from his “coma.” The reported dead are also T-Dog, Ib, Red, and Morgan.

It took a few minutes for you to reorient yourself.

You were tempted to slip back into blissful sleep... until a calender marked 'May 11th 1997' met your gaze. Huh? This obviously wasn't the late 90s. There's no friggin' iPhones, no high-tech medical equipment, by today's standards, this shit was ancient! But, whatever right? This building didn't appear tainted by Silent Hill's grasp...
Let's chalk it up to a dream.
You're all discharged per Doctor George Hamilton's order. It took you a few minutes to pack your bags and send you on your way with a rather unpleasant hospital bill.

You stepped out of the hospital and onto thick gray pavement; it's filled with inner city hustle, cars honking and beeping, people going to and fro and a large billboard on a rooftop. It made you a tad bit uncomfortable:

Welcome to Raccoon City!”

364 DAYS LATER...
May 10th 1998

You've been busy around Raccoon City: Maybe you've found a job, raised a family, perhaps? Mm, the possibilities are endless. In any other case, you've all decided to stay in Raccoon City – living together as a so-called “family.” A twisted family, sure, but you're all interlocked nevertheless. However, despite your escape from Silent Hill, you couldn't help feel... call you. And it was getting worse. Visions, odd noises, extreme hallucinations and nightmares. Some of you dealt with it, others not so much...
The questions remains: What happens to you in a year?

SPECIAL NOTE (READ BELOW):

Consider writing a “mini prologue” for your character. Explain what happens to him or her within a year; if they fall in love, or maybe a few of you could PM each other and agree upon something. Of course, this is only the middle of the Murder Game – so I'm not through with you yet! This is sorta-kinda Slice-of-Lifey and sorta-kinda survival horror as you're about to experience in the mid-round update tomorrow or Friday!

Oh, and you can search all of Raccoon City! Here's a map! (Click to enlarge.)

One year.

That was the approximate amount of time he had been gone from his home in Fuyuki City. That was approximately the amount of time that had passed since he had last seen Tohsaka, Ilya, Sakura, and all of his other friends. Well, maybe "one year" was inaccurate, given that it seemed to be 1998 or something now, about six years before he was even supposed to meet them. But whatever. He could wait it out, but if he was actually growing older in this time span, it'd be a problem when that time comes.

Whatever. He'll figure it out soon.

Well, that's what he said a year ago too. Then again, it's not like it was really his fault he was stuck with such a grand hospital bill that left him essentially broke. Well, maybe it was, but only partially at best. But it was too late to groan about that now.

Residing in Raccoon City, Shirou went ahead and got a job so he could support himself, getting his own place in the meantime. A false and temporary, but new life. He lived near the college, even though he lacked the necessary funds or whatever to attend such a place. Then again, it's not like he really felt like attending college. Maybe two years at the most, but he doubted that any job or occupation he'd aspire for would require a full degree or something. Maybe he should work for the Church and spread good news...

On a day like any other, Shirou stepped outside of his place, looking up at the sky, the soft wind gently blowing at him. It made him feel nostalgic... yet empty.

It's almost like a world like this has no use for a superhero. But I'm not gonna give up on that promise just because I didn't think there was any place. When the time comes, I'll definitely make a place.

But even so, Shirou, whether he knew it or not, desired deep down in his heart for something to happen. Another chance to be the big hero that saved those in need.

"Man... I guess these things really can't be helped, huh?" He mumbled to no one in particular, taking a walk around the city he had eventually become fairly familiar with.

Matt would be driving in a brown Ford Crown Victoria, undercover as always as he stopped in a cornerstore, coming out with his usual brown coat. He walked inside the store, grabbing a Hersheys bar and went to pay.

// Interaction right? :)

Deciding to also come into the corner store in the middle of his walk, Shirou decided he may as well pick something up. Like a granola bar. Or a protein shake.

...Or maybe some Cheetos.

Picking up a snack, he caught sight of Matt, stopping momentarily. Even though he knew he had never directly talked to that man before, a sense of familiarity seemed to well up within Shirou as he saw him. Was he one of the others? From back then? From a year ago?

Or is this simply another one of those hallucinations I've been having? Shirou thought to himself warily.

Well, if he doesn't react when he sees me, I guess that'll be the closest thing I'll have to a confirmation upon whether or not he really is someone from a year ago, he thought, waiting.

Giving a "Please" and "Thank you" to the woman, Matt walked back before bumping into the young man. He turned to look at him as he saw the boy in his eyes "Him." He thought for a minute, looking at his face. He couldn't be real, couldn't be from Silent Hill. "Know of a place named... Silent Hill, kid?" he asked hesitantly, and a bit of fright. The hallucinations and sickness he got, which he thought was Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, might have made him looked crazy if he was talking to a vision.

His expression rather quickly went from a soft curiosity to a seriousness that he had rarely showed in times past. With a nod, Shirou spoke. "I do. I was there a long time ago, along with a group of people who were also suffering. I'm assuming you were one of those people?" He inquired, apparently not as hesitant to discuss the past as a normal person would.

A year had pasted A year away from the Titans a year without Gar and his jokes. A year away from her closest friends but she had made a few new ones. A year taking care of a baby boy that she knew not his real name. A year not knowing his real parents. A year getting to know York. Raven had found one day to be hard in particular her birthday. She never was a fan of the day of her birth. She didn't announce that it was coming she just ignored it she tried acting as if she didn't have one. However she was more on edge than normal that day she helped with the little baby boy as best she could. She didn't smile she hardly spoke, and that night she didn't sleep. Raven noticed the date when she woke up not once forgetting her friends or that when her powers would come back she need to be ready so she had meditated every day like normal just not as long as she might need back at the tower.

Raven woke up like she normal did at the same time she would if she was with the Titans. She looked and saw it was a year that had passed since seeing the Titans, dealing with her father and the church, dealing with other villains, and the daily drama at Titans tower. She missed some of it but not all she especially missed a green grass stain mutant teenage boy. She sighed and went to get some tea thankful that she had found some even if it wasn't her herbal tea. Then she went to check on the boy. After seeing him peacefully asleep she smiled. "Thank Azar." She whispered then she wondered when York might wake. She sat down in a chair near the boy's crib she was glad they found one in this strange town. She closed her eyes as she sipped the tea and once more visions came of Silent Hill. She opened her eyes she had grown tired of these same images constantly entering her mind when she meditated it was just as bad. She wondered if York had been having these same images or at least similar ones and she deiced that when she saw him she would ask.

Elsa stepped outside the apartment she was currently living in to collect any mail she had received recently. The first thing she spotted was a new copy of The Raccoon City Times newspaper in her box. She took it and idly flipped it open, eyes widening a little upon spotting the date: May 11th 1998.

"So a year passed already, huh? Time sure flies..."

A year ago on this very date, Elsa went to sleep in a back room of the little candy store at that strange amusement park, waking up to find herself in a hospital in this mysterious city along with the other survivors of Silent Hill. Once they were released, Elsa tried to find a way to leave, but there was no way, apparently. So she stayed in the town with the other survivors, and life went on. Since she--along with the other survivors--were trapped in this place, they made the best of it. Many of them got jobs, apartments, and began to live ordinary lives. Elsa did the same.

Elsa got a job working at a little diner in town, rented an apartment with her husband ( @Cres who I'm sure was around so I'm gonna mention him), and began to live a fairly average life. The lack of technology and medical equipment didn't bother them; it wasn't as if Elsa had anything like that back in Arendelle anyhow. She was used to living without it.

So life went fairly smooth for the most part. Elsa missed Arendelle, but so long as her husband and friends were around she was okay. Her pregnancy progressed and she even started attending therapy to try and get over some of the bad things that had happened to her. She hoped to overcome some of her problems and at least be able to regain her voice so that she could speak to her child when he or she was born.

There was only one problem.

Shortly before she was about to give birth, Solaire disappeared again. She wasn't sure what had happened to him this time, but it worried her. She had started having nightmares again too... Elsa had a feeling Silent Hill had something to do with it. She tried not to worry about it too much though. He had disappeared before and always ended up coming home, so she was sure he was okay and would eventually make it home. She had other things to focus on anyhow...

One moonlit night, Elsa went into labor. She had her baby at Raccoon City Hospital, a healthy baby girl who she named Ilona. She was relieved that despite all she had been through, her baby had been born healthy. It was a shame Solaire had missed it, but Elsa was certain he'd be excited to meet their child when he returned.

Anyhow, after collecting the newspaper, Elsa went back into her apartment to check on her daughter. The child was sound asleep for the moment, so Elsa took a seat and decided to read the newspaper. She didn't have to go to work since she was on maternity leave for the moment, so she used the time to rest and adjust to taking care of a baby. But really, it wasn't much of an adjustment. Ilona was a part of her, and Elsa loved her as if she had always been there.

Sophie had gone off and gotten a job as a nurse at last once she was out of the hospital, it took her a few months to retake the courses but she did it... She'd made a few friends now who still keep her sanity and sadness at bay, but the one thing that had yet to be resolved was Simon. To this day, she had still never found him nor had the chance to tell him anything about her feelings, even now, as she was driving home from her job the question if he was still alive still lingered in the back of her mind. As she continued driving though she remembered she was supposed to be checking up on Elsa... She's just recently had a baby at the local hospital from what she'd heard from the other nurses, her name was Ilona from what she'd heard.

It took her a while to drive up to Elsa's apartment which she'd been informed of by her at some point, the year felt like a blur to her despite the long restless nights she often spent thinking about what had happened to her and the others at Silent Hill. Soon enough, she pulled up at the apartments parking lot and stepped out of the car, pocketing the keys after she had parked it and shut it off, closing te door behind her before she started to make her way up to Elsa's apartment. However it didn't take long for her to almost literally bump into Elsa who looked to be reading a newspaper or something and standing next to her mailbox, Sophie waved a little to her smiling as brightly as she could. "Hi!... It's been a while I guess, how have you been?" She asked, her voice was a little quiet still, but alot less so than it was when they had first met; she'd had to adjust to talking loud enough so patients she had been dealing with would hear her and all.

Over the last year, Ellie had grown more and more used to the life of a normal girl her age. When she first woke up in this place, she didn't expect it to actually be decent. But there was a hospital, all kinds of shops, a police department and even a high school. It did take her a week or two to figure out she was actually supposed to go there. Whoever was in charge in this city, had to be a good person. Well, technically. She didn't have to pay for anything. Ellie lived in an orphanage near the edge of the city, where people took care of her and tried to keep her healthy and educated by sending her to school every day except saturday and sunday.

But aside from the free food, Ellie hated the place. Everything was way too noisy and there were much too many other kids around. She wanted to stick with her promise to herself of not making any new friends, so naturally she was treated differently from the others at school and in the orphanage. When the other kids played sports in gym, she would constantly try to keep herself as far away from the important things as possible. Except for one sport that she did like... wrestling. Ellie was undefeated in that. It made the other kids hate her even more from jealousy, but she couldn't care less.

Fifteen minutes ago

It had been a year since she arrived in Raccoon City, and Ellie had learned to deal with her life of solitude. She didn't mind being alone, and she left the other kids alone, because they didn't bother her either... Until now. A small group of three boys approached her. No one ever walked up to Ellie during recess, so these kids immediately brought quite some attention to theirselves, and before they even arrived, a small crowd had gathered behind them. The tallest one had black spiky hair with way too much gel in it. It almost blinded her.

"Hey, what's up, kid?"

Ellie closed her eyes for a second. "You're barely a year older than me. You're as much of a kid as me, dickbag."

"Hohoo, little Belly's got a mouth on her. I suggest she keeps it shut unless she wants a beating." He had to try hard, but managed to crack his knuckles.

"Leave me alone, and I promise I'll take my foot out of your ass when I'm done."

The boy threw the first punch before Ellie saw it coming, she got hit in the cheek, and then...

Now...

she was walking home from school. Suspended for a week. But she didn't care much. When she was watching the kid crying in his mommy's lap with blood running from his nose and mouth, she decided it was definitely worth it. But what to do now? They didn't expect her back at the orphanage for at least an hour and a half. Suddenly, it occured to her that she hadn't even seen Elsa in a month, and she also realized she was actually eager to. Maybe she would have forgiven her by now? And on top of that, if she was really pregnant after all, her baby should already be there!

It took her only a few minutes to find the right building, walk up the stairs and knock on Elsa's door. She was nervous, but she couldn't hold back a tiny little smile.

He looked at the young man. He felt angered toward him, he didn't know why, but he looked at him with utter anger. "They banished me. Made me as if I was nothing. YOUR group of survivalist believed that I killed some of them." Matt sighed but he became calm again "I don't think you have anything to do with it though."

Shirou instinctively and defensively clenched his fist for a brief moment, growing nervous and wary, wondering if the man would lash out in anger at him, but it seemed that for now, he wouldn't. With a gulp, the young man shook his head.

"N-No, I wasn't, but I'm still sorry to hear that, regardless," he spoke, attempting to remain as calm as possible in this situation, "But still... there were people who disappeared from Silent Hill under rather mysterious circumstances, wouldn't you think?" He asked, purchasing an item from the store, maintaining the conversation in the meantime, "Even if you weren't a traitor, assuming there is a traitor or traitors, who do you suppose were they? And more importantly..." He said, stepping closer cautiously, whispering, "Do you think they're in town with us? Taking their time to blend in just like the rest of us?"

//ooc: Btw, Elsa went back into her house. I'll just say that Sophie knocked on the door and Elsa let her in. XD

Elsa got up from her seat hearing a knock at the door. The first person to arrive was Sophia. Elsa smiled and gestured for her to come in. She then went and grabbed a notebook she was using off the couch to communicate. Elsa was still mute, but had been working on learning how to speak again. It was taking some time, but she was sure she'd get there eventually.

She wrote to Sophia, "Oh, I've been pretty well. I'm just kind of tired. I actually just had my baby not too long ago. She wakes me up all the time for feeding at night, but I'm starting to get used to it. You should come in and see... her... it was a girl." She smiled a small smile. At least that was one thing therapy had helped her to do again.

"How have you been? It's been awhile."

Of course, it hadn't been that long. Sophia and Elsa visited each other occasionally, but Elsa hadn't seen her since she had given birth.

Surprisingly, Elsa received another knock at the door. Another visitor? She was popular today...

Opening the door, Elsa was surprised to see Ellie there. This was one person she normally hadn't visited with over the past year, so she wasn't sure what to say to the girl. She hadn't seen her in a very long time. "My, it's been a while since I've seen you. I think you've gotten taller..." Elsa wrote, unsure what else to say to the girl at first. "You can come in if you want..."

Shirou instinctively and defensively clenched his fist for a brief moment, growing nervous and wary, wondering if the man would lash out in anger at him, but it seemed that for now, he wouldn't. With a gulp, the young man shook his head.

And more importantly..." He said, stepping closer cautiously, whispering, "Do you think they're in town with us? Taking their time to blend in just like the rest of us?"
He opened the Hersheys bar, but spoke anyways "Kid, if I told you, it would be a lie... I knew no one there. I know... Knew Regina... I saw a girl with a man... Long haired... A woman. Two women... I left one of them to save Regina... If she is dead, then I hope she can pardon me from beyond the grave..." Matt sighed and ate from the chocolate bar, slowly, hesitantly, and saddened. "I left one for dead..."

(If any of Elsa's pals want to pop in and visit her after writing their prologues, feel free! :3 ... @Joellie @Raven @york @Crazy 8 Nate @Or anyone else who wants to pop in and say hey~)
Asian Lee Everett sighed loudly as he started packing up his papers and other items and walked silently out to his Chevy Cavalier. It had been an tiring day at the Junior College in Raccoon City. Lee threw his stuff in the back and started up the car and peeled out of there. It was funny, time certinley did fly, he had spent a whole year slowly returning to the normalcy of life. He never founf his brother, but he shrugged it off and decided to go with his life. Sure he was sad, but he decided to move on, he had to.

Lee took the exit and started on his way home. Lee had been able to fully get over his wife's betrayal and had put himself back on the market. Shortly after arriving in Raccoon city, Lee developed a relationship with a women ten years younger then him. Many people would think it strange that he was engaged to a 33 year old Nurse who worked at the nearby Hospital. The wedding was just 1 week away and Lee could barley contain himself. He made a right turn at a stoplight and headed for Elsa's place. He hadn't seen his friend for a couple days. He pulled out his phone and Called his Fiance.

" Sarah, I'm going to be a little late, I'm just stopping by a friend's to chat for a little bit" He said, leaving a message on her phone. He parked in front of Elsa's apartment building, honking a friendly tune
