Helena

Age
Late 20s to early 30s

Biography
Bah bah bah, is boring and full of spoils. Go watch TV show on Netflix.

Helena was born in 1984, one of numerous offspring of the clone project LEDA conducted by the neolutionist Dyad Institute. An unknown number of genetically identical zygotes were implanted in surrogate mothers around the world to be raised and studied in varying environments and social standings, oblivious to their true nature and subject to strict and invasive monitoring conditions. One of these mothers, however, came to rightfully fear the institute's intention for these children; she fled from them during her pregnancy, severing ties with the program, intent on hiding the child she was carrying away from their questionable purpose. Her job turned out to be twice as difficult as expected. Rather than one child she found herself carrying identical twins, and when they were born she resolved to separate them at birth and give them up to render them further untraceable to the Dyad group before going off the grid herself. The first clone, Sarah, was orphaned and soon taken in by an underground pipeline based in London dedicated to smuggling children and families who suffered from then-Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's restrictive governance. Helena was the other sister, and she was sent to be raised by a coven of strict nuns in Ukraine.

The nuns were harsh and unpleasant people in their own right, but when she was twelve she was found by a far more dangerous brand of religious devotees. A cult of extremists who were aware of project LEDA and chose to oppose it with violence, the organization known as the Proletheans located her and took her away from the coven for their own purposes. Helena was given to a handler, a cruel priest named Tomas who beat and mistreated her, keeping her locked in a cage when she wasn't needed and psychologically dominating her through manipulation and fear. She was made aware of the other clones and (falsely) led to believe that she was the original among them, and at the Prolethean's insistence that the clones were abominations who had to be cleansed was trained to stalk, fight and kill for the sole purpose of slaying her genetic identicals.

The years of crushing mental abuse rendered her completely subservient to the Proletheans, unable to resist or flee if such even occurred to her. Every time Tomas yanked her leash, a clone died. She assassinated three unassuming women across Europe, but the fourth target given to her - a German-born clone named Katja Obinger - offered something of a twist; she was already aware of the cloning program's existence herself, having been in contact with a number of other similarly self-aware clones converged in Canada. She fled there in the hopes of evading her assassin but Helena followed suit, intent on finishing the job. With things going as they were, hope for any of the clones' survival seemed dim.

That all changed when she arrived in Toronto. Because unbeknownst to either of them, the next clone she came face-to-face with would turn out to be the twin sister she lost at birth.

Strengths/Abilities
Helena's strength, speed and agility, though not superhuman, are all exceptional, deceptively so given her size and somewhat sickly appearance. She has been shown arm wrestling men much larger than her and winning, incapacitating people before they can so much as lift a finger to stop her, and performing agile parkour maneuvers with ease. Most impressive is her endurance and pain threshold, which allows her to function with wounds that would leave most writhing on the floor in agony. It's unclear if her conditioning is the result of a genetic predisposition or simply the result of her upbringing.

Additionally, while not a strength per se, she carries the condition situs inversus, meaning as a result of being a mirror image twin her organs are themselves mirrored from the positions they would typically be in; so her heart is on the right side of her chest rather than the left and so forth. The condition is passive enough, but can confuse or deceive anyone hoping to cause her serious harm by targeting a major organ.

Being trained to kill, she is proficient with virtually all manner of weapons, and has been shown effectively using knives, pistols, sniper rifles, a bow and arrow, and generally whatever can be found on hand. She's also highly lethal when fighting without any weapons, whether fighting to kill, maim, or simply incapacitate, and knows where and how to attack someone so it hurts the most. The eyes tend to be a choice target.

Equipment
One steel fork. Stainless.

Weakness
Helena's mental state is beyond fragile, to the point that it's more likely she suffers from numerous mental disorders than one. The circumstances of her life are no doubt a chief cause for such, though it has been noted that some Project LEDA clones may be inherently susceptible to mental illness to begin with, Helena being a prime example. If something hurts her physically she can downright relish it, but if something hurts her on an emotional level she might be inclined to more or less shut down. She is particularly sensitive to matters concerning family or children.

Though she has made something of an effort to acclimate in recent times, being raised in a coven and taken by the Proletheans when she was 12 has left her with virtually no idea how to behave like a human being. She can be eccentric, animalistic and downright homicidal to a disturbing degree, and while she can also be strangely childlike and lovable in her own way these attributes are often offputting to the better-adjusted people she encounters.

Physically, her body has been subject to so much abuse and trauma over the years that the fact she's still alive at all is nigh miraculous. Due to being confined to a locked cage indoors Helena rarely saw the sun throughout her formative years, her hair and skin's pale pigmentation the result of a melanin deficiency rather than natural. The entirety of her back is horribly disfigured by scars, the religion-fueled mistreatment she endured having compelled her to carve the outline of folded angel wings there, likely for imposed "atonement" purposes due to her being considered sinful by nature.

Cocoon: A continent that floats above Gran Pulse. Many humans live there.

    FtIoTuQ.png

Gran Pulse / Pulse: The world below Cocoon.

    ffxiii-12.jpg

Fal'Cie: These are supernatural beings who are worshiped like gods in both Gran Pulse and Cocoon. However, there are two different types of fal'Cie: Pulse fal'Cie and Sanctum fal'Cie (Cocoon's). The fal'Cie seek to destroy each other's world through the usage of l'Cie.

L'Cie: Primarily humans, but sometimes non-humans. There are also two types of l'cie: Sanctum l'Cie and Pulse l'Cie. Chosen by the fal'Cie by being giving l'Cie brands, l'Cie are servants and are sent off to perform specified tasks. Those tasks are also known as Focuses. This is all against their wills.

L'Cie brand: "The brands that mark a l'Cie as one of the fal'cie's chosen change gradually, passing through several different stages. When the "eye" at the center opens — the brand's final stage — the l'cie becomes a Cie'th.A brand's rate of progression depends partly on the difficulty of the l'Cie's Focus. It is also linked closely to the individual's mental state, with severe psychological trauma sometimes spurring rapid advancement. In the most extreme cases, severe fear and shock at being made a l'Cie has turned newly made l'Cie to Cie'th at the instant of their branding."

    Pulse_Brand.png

Focuses: Tasks that are laid out by the fal'cie for the l'Cie. L'Cie learn about their focuses through a vision. There are no words spoken — just images flashing like a movie after they get branded. Because focuses are shown to be unclear through the images, l'cie must figure it out on their own so that they can complete their job as servants.

Cie'th: If a l'Cie fails their focus, they turn into non-sentient creatures known as Cie'th. Cie'th move on instinct and are hostile toward living beings. It is best to not run into one of these things because they are dangerous and are able to wield magic.

Crystal stasis: After l'Cie complete their focus, they take the form of crystal and gain eternal life. They slumber in their crystal form for many centuries until they are released.

Etro: The goddess of death. She held great affection for humanity.

Eidolon: Mystical entities created by Etro. They only reveal themselves to a select few l'Cie. It was said that they were they saviors, come to rescue hopeless l'Cie who found themselves bound to a Focus against their will. They offered a brand of salvation that few sought willingly. Eidlons attack the l'Cie they reveal themselves to. If a l'Cie were to defeat their Eidolin in combat, they received an eidolith.

Eidolith: A crystal that is used to summon eidolons after they are defeated by their l'Cie, to fight by their side.

Ragnorok: A legendary beast that a Pulse l'Cie must become in order to destroy Cocoon.

    The Sanctum: Cocoon's fal'Cie government.

The Purge: A form of forced migration and social cleansing. It was conducted by the Sanctum to get rid of those believed to have been 'touched' by Gran Pulse. Those being purged are executed by the PSICOM.

PSICOM: The Sanctum's military force. Charged with protecting Cocoon from Pulsian incursion.

there is a tl;dr version don't worry. just use the find thing, by using ctrl + f. :P

    \ \ \

Oerba Dia Vanille once lived on Gran Pulse in a village called Oerba. Gran Pulse was a world that was often viewed as a living hell for every human being who inhabited Cocoon.

When she was young, Vanille lost her family during the War of Transgression. The War of Transgression was a war that happened between Pulse and Cocoon. After losing her family, Vanille was put into an orphanage and that was where she met her childhood friend, Oerba Yun Fang.

When she became older, Vanille was next in line to be branded as a l'Cie. Fang also became a l'Cie as well. They were both branded by a fal'Cie named Anima. Together, the two were granted the power of being able to transform into Ragnarok in order to destroy Cocoon. Vanille feared the power that they were given, so Fang became Ragnarok alone and she scarred Cocoon's shell. As Fang was in the middle of attacking, Etro took pity on the people of Cocoon and crystallized (crystal stasis) both Fang and Vanille before they were able to complete their focus. While in crystal form, the two ended up getting transported to Cocoon.

Centuries later, both Fang and Vanille woke up from their slumber on a Pulse Vestige. Fang didn't remember anything, but Vanille did. Instead of telling Fang the truth Vanille pretended she didn't know either because she didn't want any more people getting hurt. But Vanille thought wrong.

Two days later, a local girl named Serah Farron was turned into a Pulse l'Cie after wandering about in the Vestige. She was branded by the same fal'Cie that had branded Vanille and Fang. Vanille blamed herself for this. She assumed that Anima branded Serah to complete the Focus they had not finished. Another two days later, Fang and Vanille attempted to destroy a Sanctum fal'Cie, but a young boy by the name of Dajh Katzroy became a Sanctum l'Cie after wandering into the room. The fal'Cie branded him in response to Fang and Vanille's threat. The two girls ended up separated. Vanille left her Binding Rod on the Pulse Vestige, and wandered about on Cocoon, in an area called Bodhum.

The Sanctum discovered the Pulse fal'Cie that turned Serah into a l'Cie and decided to purge the entirety of Bodhum. The Sanctum moved the Pulse Vestige (which housed the fal'Cie), and all of the inhabitants and visitors of Bodhum were put onto Purge trains and sent off for the Purge. Vanille ended up tagging along with a Hope and Nora Estheim. She hoped to return home and escape her Focus. The train she had boarded was soon derailed by a Lightning Farron and a Sazh Katzroy.

Vanille and the other Purgees were found by a Snow Villiers and his resistance group, NORA. Hope's mother, Nora joined the resistance's effort to fight against the Sanctum's lackeys, but was killed in battle. Vanille had Hope stick around with her after the tragedy. Because Hope blamed Snow for his mother's death, Vanille encouraged Hope to go and talk to Snow, but Snow left before he even had a chance. Together, Vanille and Hope stole an air-bike and followed after Snow, who was heading for the Pulse Vestige.

The two end up crash-landing onto the Vestige, and Vanille recovered her Binding Rod. They were saved from ambushing Cie'th by Snow, and the three met with Lightning and Sazh only to find Serah outside of where Anima was. Serah ended up turning into crystal. Lightning, Snow, and Sazh decided to attack Anima, and the entire group (minus Vanille) were branded as Pulse l'Cie. Pretending that she, too, had been branded at that moment by Anima, Vanille and the group tried to interpret their given Focus. It had to do with Ragnarok, and destroying Cocoon, though Snow was certain that it was their duty to save Cocoon instead of destroying it.

Upon being separated from Lightning, Hope, and Snow, Vanille ended up tagging along with Sazh to run away from all of the troubles of being a l'Cie, and they ended up in the city of Nautilus. It was known as the City of Dreams. While in Nautilus, Sazh and Vanille discovered that their companions had started a commotion in Palumpolum, Hope's home city. But in the footage that was shown, there was another person among them. It was Fang. Vanille was shocked to see her with them.

In Nautilus, Sazh revealed that he wanted to turn himself in to the Sanctum in order to see his son Dajh one last time after his son was branded a Sanctum l'Cie and kept by the Sanctum. Vanille felt guilty knowing that she had caused it, but she stayed silent about the topic. Vanille and Sazh were soon cornered by PSICOM in Nautilus' theme park. The two saw Dajh, and Dajh turned into crystal after Sazh came into contact with his son. It was then shown to Sazh that Vanille and Fang were the reason of Dajh's branding, and Vanille ended up fleeing from the scene.

Sazh followed after her and Vanille revealed that she was a Pulse l'Cie that came from Gran Pulse. As Sazh pointed one of his guns at her, she demanded that he shoot her, but he was unable to do so. His Eidolon, Brynhildr manifested and attacked the two. After working together to defeat the Brynhildr, Sazh once again pointed his gun at Vanille. Vanille accepted her punishment of death, but Sazh was too heartbroken to go through with it.

The two were imprisoned by PSICOM, and were on their way to Eden for public execution. The two end up being rescued by Fang and the others, and Fang and Vanille were finally reunited after what seemed like forever. The entire group met with Cocoon's Primarch, Galenth Dysley, who was actually a fal'Cie called Barthandelus. He claimed that their duty was to destroy Orphan — the fal'Cie who sustained Cocoon — and Serah's Focus was to gather them together to brand them l'Cie and make them accomplish that goal.

At some point, the entire group travels to Gran Pulse, to try and find a way to change their fate. They go to Vanille and Fang's home village and find that it is devoid of life and color. They encountered Barthandelus once again, and he left an airship for them. The party went back to Cocoon and to Eden, in attempts to stop the fal'Cie's plan of ruining Cocoon.

They made their way through the chaos in Eden to Orphan's Cradle. They defeated Barthandelus and Orphan was awakened. The group ended up destroying Orphan. Cocoon fell from the sky, but together, Vanille and Fang joined hands and became Ragnarok to prevent Cocoon from crashing into Gran Pulse by forming a crystal pillar to support Cocoon over Pulse.

Vanille and Fang remained at the core of Cocoon's pillar, holding hands, in crystal sleep.

    tl;dr

Vanille tried to run away from her responsibilities as a l'Cie and ended up getting other people dragged into her and Fang's (her childhood friend's) Focus of "destroying Cocoon." With her new companions, they go on a journey, traveling around on Cocoon and Gran Pulse. They discover that the fal'Cie treated all of humanity like pets, and they go against the gods that controlled and manipulated them into doing their deeds. After defeating the big bad fal'Cie thing, Vanille and Fang both turn into Ragnarok. They save Cocoon from crash-landing onto Gran Pulse by becoming the crystal pillar that holds up Cocoon.

in other words: fighting against gods.

    who needs gods? :|

  • Magic

    Aero - Which is wind.
    Fire
    Water
    Thunder
    Bizzard - Pretty much ice.

Vanille chooses whichever element she wants and attacks her foes with said element with a wave of a hand. Thunder strikes down on the target; Aero, Fire, Water, and Blizzard can be seen coming directly from Vanille, so it won't be hard to tell that she's actually using it. yeah.

oh, and because of atb slots in-game, i would make it for vanille to take awhile to use magic after a several moments. QQ

Name:

Izuku "Deku" Midoriya

Age:

15

Canon:

My Hero Academia

Biography(at least a short synopsis):

Born quirkless in a world of people with quirks (the equivalent of powers), Deku is a bright-eyed teenager who desperately wanted to become a hero like the very one he looks up to, the hero of heroes, All Might, despite his lack of a quirk and the possibility of ever attaining one being utterly impossible. That is, until a chance meet-up with the man himself after being ambushed by a supervillain! After his rescue, Deku learned about All Might's secret and after his frantic question to him, All Might told him the words that brought him down to reality; that since he has no quirk to speak of, he can never be a hero. Completely drowning in despair and sorrow, Deku had nothing to do but walk back home..

..But then he soon learns from a nearby crowd that the supervillain that previously attempted to kill him was now attacking his childhood friend, Bakugou, and despite their changed relationship from genuine companions to a bully terrorizing his 'old friend', Deku took a mad dash towards the enemy in hopes to save him.. Until All Might suddenly showed up to save the day once again, a job well done! ..Well, not quite.

That evening, All Might appears before Deku to commend him on his bravery (as irrational as the other heroes mentioned it was as they chewed him out), and even offers to train him due to his sheer determination, taking back his previous words and letting the next ones from his mouth shake him to his very core:

"You can become a hero!"

With those five words uttered, All Might took Deku under his wing, and with some.. unorthodox methods (how well does a strand of hair pass through the human body?), he gained the Symbol of Peace's power, One for All! Now being able to join the best school for heroes, he has to learn how to control the power as well as adapt well to his peers; being a hero isn't as easy as they make it out to be, after all..

Strengths/Abilities:

One For All: One For All, a quirk inherited by All Might, grants him the power of super-strength, heightened agility and speed by transferring it to corresponding parts of his body. Thing is.. Every time Izuku uses it to its full potential, he gets horrendously injured in the areas he used One For All in. He thankfully got training to limit his power and prevent this from happening, culminating in..

One For All: Full Cowl: With this technique, Deku can activate 5% of One For All's power and transfer it to his entire body as opposed to one specific area. While its strength is clearly very limited, it prevents him from the double-edged sword effects of One For All.

High Intelligence: Even before gaining a quirk from All Might, Deku certainly wasn't a slacker in the brains department. When given time in specific situations, he can learn how to use his and other people's abilities to their overall advantage, as well as formulate strategies around this tendency. It's safe to say he's better suited with thoughts before actions.

Mid thirties, roughly
Canon(What fandom are they from?):
Marble Hornets/Slenderman Mythos
Biography(at least a short synopsis):
Tim is a proxy (not technically, but we'll roll with it for the sake of convenience), a servant of the one known as The Operator. The 'Masky' side of him is a split personality, forcibly planted into his mind by The Operator, and as such, Tim often blacks out, becoming a totally different person, and forgetting exactly what he did while obeying The Operator's commands. Some may confuse his master for the Slenderman. Though they bear a striking resemblance, it is believed that they are different beings, due to their different personalities and powers. (For the sake of keeping this easy, I'll just say The Operator is Slenderman's underling)
Strengths/Abilities:
Tim's strength is generally assumed to be higher than avarage for a human of his build, given his supernatural empowerment, this is likely true
Being in service to The Operator for as long as he has been, he's been gifted the ability to 'slenderwalk' which is the act of short range instantaneous teleportation
It is unknown if he possess any other abilities from his master, such as the ability to interfere with electronics
Being a proxy, he takes a fair amount of punishment to put down. And while he can take a lot of punishments, he doesn't regenerate any faster than the average human

Name:
Faith Connors

Age:
Early 20's

Canon:
Mirror's Edge Catalyst

Biography:
-When she was seven, she lost her family because of the November Riots and was saved by a man named Noah Kekai, who happened to be a friend of her parents.
-Noah became her father figure and trained Faith to become a runner, and made sure she stayed away from the Black November resistance and the Conglomerate. Thus, Faith took on Noah's neutral stance.
-She despises the Conglomerate and often butts heads with Kruger Security. Due to her past, she constantly rebels against the government, yet always seem to find herself stuck in numerous government conspiracies due to her family connections and her as a Runner
-Nevertheless, despite of her traumatic past, she is a fierce daredevil that runs to get a kick out if it rather than for its pay. She's cocky, self-assured and a survivor. Her running style is elegant and efficient, as well as powerful.

Strengths/Abilities:
-Parkour/Free-Running (whatever you wanna call it): As the name suggests, Faith is an incredibly skilled Runner that can easily manoeuvre through different environments, although she's more used to the rooftops of city environments.
vnauqbiswugy52lqzq65.gif

-Hand-to-Hand Combat: Not a big fan of facing head-on against enemies, but it is developed enough to allow her defeat a small group of the KSECs on her own. However, the more momentum she gains from her running, the stronger her next attack will be. She can either go for a light attack or a heavy attack depending on the situation.
-Focus: As she free-runs, she gains focus, as well as more speed. When she reaches maximum focus, Faith generates a "shield" that allows her to dodge incoming projectiles/attacks. However, if at any time she halts her movement (whether it is intentional or forced), she loses all her generated focus instantly.

Equipment (max 2 weapons):
-Mag Rope/Disruptor Glove: The Mag Rope function allows her to traverse across large gaps by latching the rope onto a high surface or a drone. Meanwhile, the glove is also equipped with a military-grade decryption mod that allows her to disrupt or even destroy high-security systems.
-beatLink: A contact lens that allows her to see pathways to reach a particular area, as well as gain information of the said area. It can also allow to communicate with other people.

Tactical Visor - An experimental device granted to him upon his promotion to Overwatch Strike Commander, Soldier: 76 wields an iconic visor on his mask which grants him a basic tactical heads up display. However, when it is fully charged and Solder: 76 declares a "target rich enviroment", he can activate its prime function. When the Tactical Visor is activated, Soldier: 76 gains a full tactical reading of the situation and his vision and aim is cranked up to 11. When in this state, it is impossible for Soldier: 76 to miss any of his shots, as he will automatically lock on to the closest threat. The only way to evade Soldier: 76 in this state is to leave his line of sight (or just shoot at him until he dies); but as long as he can see you, you are most certainly dead, kiddo.
That ending makes it read like the Navy Seal Copypasta, IMO.
