Murder Game V: The Reapers' Game

His death in the big scheme of things meant little the way he died even more so. Thanos would have found himself in his travel to the after life in a world between life and death. By some it was called Limbo by others Purgatory.

*Clank*

It also had one of the best casino's anywhere in the cosmos. This place was new to Thanos, never in his other deaths had he had the pleasure, or in his case, the misfortune of having to stay here.

Even the great Thanos must sometime bow to the whims of the beyond. He thought to himself pulling on the slot machine. Suddenly however he'd feel his arm getting heavier and his vision getting blurrier. His entire body would be enveloped in a dark void before everything went dark. Once his vision was regained and his faculties restored he'd hear the tale of a Death.

He had been pulled here the prize for winning was to return back to life, which was quite an...amusing prospect. After formalities had been exchanged they would have been lead to a new location he'd have himself a look around. A multiversal gathering of the dead this might have been but he did see some faces that were familiar with him, albeit only slightly.

Thanos would play this little game for now, because even with out his powers, the Mad Titan was still a force to be reckoned with.

But then he woke up. He was given... pins? Apparently they gave him powers of some sorts.

It didn't change the fact that he was stuck with... more humans.

He'd have to make do. He was handed his Player Pin - he assumed they somehow captured his life essence and caught it inside, he had to not lose it.

He shrugged, loosened his helmet, tossed it in his beak and swallowed it. Can't lose it if it was inside him. He then waited on standby, chanting a prayer in his native tongue as he kept an eye on two of the humans - the obnoxious one that had dark skin, and the one that dressed up like one of these Human clowns - though he did look dangerous. He announced, to no one in particular:

"My name is Asha, and stay away from me."
Immediately after Asha swallowed his player pin, he felt a strange sensation within the pit of his stomach. The pin inside him began to vibrate before magically poofing out and returning to the palm of his hand. Afterwards, a reaper sporting a black coat and a pair of black wings stomped over to Asha.

"What the heck do you think you're doing!? You can't eat your player pin! We would have made that a rule, but honestly isn't it obvious? You're supposed to wear it! It represents that you're a player of this game! Sheesh... these newbie players sometimes," he grumbled, shaking his head.

Pyrrha Nikos stood, her spear Milo, in one hand, coated in blood, and her shield, Akouo in the other. A frown was present on her face, as she found herself surrounded by members of the White Fang. She was about to lean forward, when a voice called, "Step aside," Pyrrha frowned, as a woman walked between the White Fang members, who took several steps back. Pyrrha locked eyes with the strange, fire wielding woman, noting that the woman's orange eyes almost seemed to glow. "What do you want?" Pyrrha asked, ready to dart forward and impale this woman in the gut. The woman simply began to cackle and laugh, as the ground exploded beneath Pyrrha, and she fell down and down and down. A pain exploded through her, and she through her head back, letting loose a bellow of pain. She looked up, seeing an iron rod sticking out of her chest, coated in her own blood, her intestines wrapped around it. She gulped, a snarl crossing her face. "Sweet dreams Pyrrha," the woman chuckled, before flames erupted all around, scorching her skin, but the only thing she let herself see, was that woman's face, and the smile that it bore, as Pyrrha let herself go.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After her friendly chat with Lord Death, Pyrrha found herself outside... in a... city? It wasn't any she had ever seen before, and several others were around her, confused as well.

Asha stared at the pin, then at the form. And kept staring at the form, slowly lifted his arm. And pinned the pin on the fabric in his forearm, lowering his arm anew. And kept staring at the form without saying a word.

GABRIEL

Supernatural-Gabriel.jpg

"Lucifer, you're my brother, and I love you. But you are a great big bag of dicks."

...

"You disloyal-"

"Oh, I'm loyal. To them."

"Who? These so-called 'gods'?"

"To people, Lucifer. People."

...

"Brother, don't make me do this."

"No one makes us do anything."

"I know you think you're doing the right thing, Gabriel. But I know where your heart truly lies. ...Here."

A rush of heat and bright white light. Searing pain, pain like he's never felt before in all his years of existence.

Fuck him sideways and call him Suzie. So this is what it felt like to ACTUALLY die.

Luke 1:19 - And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.

Being human sucked donkey cock, as Gabriel was beginning to learn.

His vessel felt less cramped now, sure. But he'd gotten so used to it over the years that he hadn't really noticed the need to stretch his wings anymore. He'd even thought that he was pretty damned used to the sensations of being flesh and blood (given his repeated and liberal exposure to wine, women, and as many sweets as he could stuff in his gob).

Yeah, he'd been wrong.

Somehow, his senses were both dulled (dearest DAD were humans blind and deaf, honestly) and heightened at the same time (every inch of his body felt like Hell warmed over, and Gabriel should know). His muscles were a joke. He was too hot. He was either thirsty or hungry; he wasn't sure which.

His chest kept itching. Right smack dab in the center. Ha, wonder why.

Was it really his body, though, seeing how he was dead? How did that work, exactly? Gabriel wasn't entirely sure. Even he didn't know how the afterlife usually works for angels, let alone archangels. Dad had never let the fam in on that little secret. Somehow he didn't think this was the usual route, though. Leave it to Gabriel to end up in some sort of final great cosmic joke, huh?

"Let's never do this again," he muttered, rubbing his chest. His fingers brushed the collection of pins that were freshly stuck to his jacket's lapel, reminding him that he was actually supposed to be doing something here: finding a partner. If he'd known that, he probably wouldn't have handed over his Grace so cheerfully.

Not that he'd had a whole lot of bargaining chips to choose from, mind you.

His eyes scanned the crowd of rather, uh, colorful chuckleheads that were milling around in the immediate vicinity. Yeah. This looked promising, alright.

Ah well. Might as well have some fun with it, right?

"Hey! Any of you yahoos know where a guy can get a bite to eat around here?" He waved his arms over his head and spun in a circle. Had to make up for that height difference somehow.

[BCOLOR=transparent]Prologue: Afterlife[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]No longer are you in the world of the living and only you know why. Maybe you were murdered. Maybe you were hit by a car or had a heart attack. Or perhaps your death was more heroic; maybe you died in a war or saving a family from a burning building. You even could have died in the most ridiculous way possible, by choking on a marshmallow or something of the like. The point is, you are now dead. The circumstances of your death aren't really too important at the moment either. At this current point in time all you see is darkness. You wonder what will become of you now...[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"You there, yes you, standing in right in front of me," a voice called out. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]You glance around confused. You don't see anyone. The only thing you can see still yet is darkness. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"Oh where are my manners. You can't see a darn thing, now can you?" the voice said. "Let me fix that." [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]A tiny glow suddenly illuminated the darkness. A giant white hand, which looked like a foam finger, was suddenly holding a lit candle. The candle wasn't enough to light the entire room, but it was enough to show you the face of this being in front of you. [/BCOLOR]

soul-eater-34-large-021.jpg

[BCOLOR=transparent]"That better? Good! Now I can feel more at ease introducing myself. I'm Lord Death. Not the lord of all death, mind you, I simply help out in a few different universes. In one world, I run a school for special children, and in this universe, well, I watch over a special game called The Reapers' Game. It's found in a world inhabited by reapers called The Underground." [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]You ask Lord Death about the Reapers' Game, and he explains. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"The Reapers' Game is a second chance at life. If you participate, and survive until the end, you will be allowed to come back to life. The game lasts seven days. But if you die during the game, your soul will be gone forever. You don't have to accept--if you don't, you will pass on to the afterlife--but if you do accept, you can play and gain the chance of coming back to life. What would you like to do?"[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]You accept, of course. You have so much more you want to do with your life. After you accept, however, Lord Death gasps.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"Oh! There's something else I forgot to tell you--a few things, actually. In order to defend yourself during this game, you will use pins which have certain powers." [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]A table magically appeared in front of you, covered in many pins. [/BCOLOR]

MyTWEWWYPins.jpg

[BCOLOR=transparent]"You may only pick three pins," Lord Death explained. "Choose wisely."[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]You choose your three pins and then glance to Death again.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"I hope you're happy with your choices. You can't change them. Now then..." [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]He tells you about the player system of the game. It is very important that you have a partner with you at all times or else you will not be able to use your powers. He then offers you a cell phone. [/BCOLOR]

a0e004c8-5d03-491c-a682-ffeb44616fef.jpg

[BCOLOR=transparent]"Have you seen these in the universe or time period you come from? You may not have, but that doesn't matter. The information on how to use this cell phone will now be placed in your head automatically, not to worry. It's a device the reapers will use to contact you and give you instructions during the game. Follow the instructions. If you don't, you could be erased, also known as being killed in this world. I suggest you quickly commit the term to memory. Now then, there's one more thing. Open your cell phone..." [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]You open your cell phone and see the words ENTRY FEE as one of the option menus.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"One thing I forgot to mention earlier is that this game has an entry fee. Type on your phone what it will be. It has to be something important to you. A special memory, person, or item. That is what we accept for you to play the game. It is your payment. But never fear, if you win the game, you will get your entry fee back. Still interested in playing the game?" [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]You nod. You're ready for this. You want to come back to life more than anything. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"Excellent," he replies. "You're all set to play the game." [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Suddenly, the room is illuminated entirely. You're in a completely white room with brown double doors behind Lord Death. The two of you are the only ones in the room. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"Leave through those doors. When you do, you'll be sent to the game arena and to where the other players are. Follow the instructions on your cell phone. Good luck."[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]You nod again and start to walk to the doors when you're suddenly stopped by Death's voice.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"Wait!" He cried. "One last thing..."[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]You turn to look at him and he tosses you another pin. You catch it and take a good look at it.[/BCOLOR]

twewy_player_pin_by_pariahcomplex-d1hwsxy.gif

[BCOLOR=transparent]"One last pin. It doesn't have any powers, but it is important. It's called your player pin. (So, technically, you have four pins.) If you lose it, and don't find it within a short period of time, you will be automatically erased. So whatever you do, don't lose it." [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]You nod and clutch the pin tightly before heading to the door. You open the brown double doors with a creak and see nothing but white light ahead. You step into the light...[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Suddenly you go unconscious. When you wake up, you are in the middle of a huge city you don't recognize. [/BCOLOR]

Scramble%20Crossing%2002.jpg

[BCOLOR=transparent]You start to walk around and realize you are trapped in an invisible dome with a few other people, the other players. Nothing to do but wait for the time being until you get instructions from your game master... [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Welcome to The Underground.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]To keep yourself occupied by waiting, you could either [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]talk to the players[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent] and make some friends, walk into a [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]training center[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent] you can see in the upper left part of the area to check what it's about, check out the mysterious [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]wishing well[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent] which seems to be the only thing in the middle of this street, or [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]talk to a street performer[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent] who seems to be off to the side juggling for some reason. He doesn't seem to be a player because you don't see him wearing a player pin. Maybe he could tell you the name of the city and what the heck you're supposed to be doing right now. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]There are also a few sitting areas such as [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]benches[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent], [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]chairs[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent], and a [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]swing set[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]But whatever you do, the choice is yours. Right now, you're just biding time until the game inevitably starts.[/BCOLOR]

Rocket awoke seeing a bright light. 'Is this it? Am I in the afterlife?' She blinked a few times the room began to come into view it was dark at first and she heard something or someone speak and soon she saw light. She looked around slowly and then felt a sudden pain in her side.'Wait I'm not dead? How? Who?' She moved and slowly sat up and felt pain in her side once more this time a bit worse. She then looked at where she had been stabbed. It was obvious a wound was there but it wasn't bloody or seemed to be open. She stared at it for a moment then placed her hand on her side. 'Who and how? I lost so much blood? Are all the stories of a guardian angel true? If so where are you now? Where have you been? Where were you before I ran away, when my sister followed and wouldn't listen, when we were trapped and forced to be someone's entertainment? Their pleasurable toy? Why did you not save us? Why did you not save me? ' Rocket then realized that the fabric from her clothes was not open or had any cut marks or was stitched back. 'No I remember I am dead. I made a deal for something… But I don't remember all the details at the moment it was some game wasn't it? I think it was something Blue had me sign.' She let her hand feel where the wound was. 'I still feel the pain… But yet there is no place showing I'm hurt….That's different.' Rocket then looked at the man and simply nodded at the instructions still in a daze and went where she was told. Finally when she was more aware Rocket then noticed that there where others and finally had questions for everyone in the room also wondering who was ahead of this all and if she really was dead. 'Is it Blue? Why would he have me away from Sweatpea?' Rocket slowly stood up from where she was. She ignored the pain but soon it seemed to fade as if she was never hit. She then looked to everyone in the group one at a time and asked. "Who the Hell are all of you? And why they fuck am I alive? Am I alive? Do any of you know what the fuck is going on? And if the bastard Blue is in charge?" She then looked once more around the room for her sister and had one more question to ask. "Has anyone seen my sister Sweatpea?" She asked all of these questions in a slight demanding tone but quickly after she asked about her sister she looked once more for the one who spoke to her. "What have you done to Sweatpea?" She asked knowing that had to be her enter fee. She gave a loud sigh. "Great so let the games begin." She stated to herself under her breath.

After a few minutes of trying to get herself together pertaining to the fact that she were alone without her big brother, Yuka knew that she needed to find someone, at least someone that would want to protect her. Not like she wanted to be protected, but she wanted a start on trying to be mature like her big brother. If she were getting a second chance, she better start now. The catch was... everybody seemed so different than anything she's ever seen before, it brought uncertainty to her thoughts. Then again, it was all going to be fine, she just had to find someone, right?

"U-Um... um..."

Yuka07_zpsb018a846.png

Oh dear, this was going to take awhile. She couldn't even think of someone to group up with, because it seemed like some were already talking to each other. Wait... what if she were the odd one out of everybody else? That thought wasn't exactly helping her, but she knew that she had to speak up...

"E-Excuse me... um... I was...er....wondering," Yuka tried her best to bring up the idea of being partners to this person, she didn't seem that bad. In fact, she oddly reminded her of a certain... well, friend, who was always oddly quiet.

"...u-um... about partners... can I... partner up with you?" Yuka finally brought herself to ask this, twiddling her two thumbs. While she might had been too shy to even notice this, something in her mind was telling her that this woman was possibly missing someone as well, alike to how Yuka missed her big brother.

@TheColourlessRainbow (Jodie)

Jodie was lost in thought as she stared into the sky, she remembered when she was a little girl and would stare endlessly out of her living room window, her parents never allowed her outside due to her gift. Jodie smiled as she heard a small child speak, it wasn't until the girl stopped talking did she realize it was towards her. Looking to the left, then to the right, Jodie's head stopped as it looked in front of her.

"Oh, I'm sorry, what did you ask?"

BioShock-2_2009_12-21-09_05.jpg

The depths of Rapture continued to crumble and corrode since that faithful civil dispute twenty years ago, the underwater Utopia turning more and more into a ravaging hellhole. Splicers freely roamed, most far too embedded with ADAM to even be registered as humans anymore. Oxygen was thinning out in some districts, and the stability of the glass walls, held securely only by patrolling Big Daddies, had already collapsed in some of the lower levels of Rapture due to pressure and lack of maintenance. It would not long until the entire city would kneel before the forces of nature, but as it stands, there was still conflict a foot.

A husky, deep growling filled the cryptic hallways of the Atlantic Express District. Once, this station had been a center hub for shoppers, weary travelers, and people of all sorts. Shopping stands ranging from wooden carts to actual stores used to decorate the largely gray, metallic walls along with red-and-tan carpeting. There was even a very small playground for toddlers, with a few building blocks, a small swingset, and a sandbox. All-in-all, the station was merely a ghost of it's former self, the colors faded, the metal rusted, and a dull hint of crimson filling those carpets.

In the midst of this tranquil scene, a barbarically twisted, abomination of machine and man halted in her advance. The form, clearly feminine, was lanky and extremely tall. Even in her slouched position, the woman-of-steel stood at 6'1", possibly 6'4 or 6'5" fully standing up. She wore what could best be described as an ebony exoskeleton akin to that of a diving suit, like those of the Big Daddies, but much more nimble and lightweight. In both her arms, two blades, one a syringe and one a sharpen piece of piping were brandished, staring blankly behind a glowing helmet as a horde of splicers emerged onto the Atlantic Express Shopping Mall.

"G'et da ADAM!"
"WHERE IS MY REFUND, HUH!?"
"Take your Cult of Lamb and shove it you git!"
"I'll pop your cherry, Tall Bitch!"
"We got a Big Sissy here, boys!"
"Sander would love you, serenity!"

A radio began to play, and in the blink of an eye, an all-out brawl commenced between seemingly countless amounts of splicers against one Big Sister.

An orgy of violence, gunfire, plasmids, and screams followed. The splicers were abnormally armed, some carrying mere clubs of metal piping whilst others hauled bolt-action rifles and Thompson M1A1s. One of the few splicers to enter the fray even boasted a makeshift grenade launcher composed of common household appliances, launching forth explosive firebombs and fragmentation grenades. The Big Sister, charging forwards, impaled several of the splicers, tossing their limp bodies against the glass, watching the structure crack as their bones shattered.

Shooting a ray of electricity from her hands, the feral beast growl and hissed, beginning to whimper as she felt the gunshots begin to dig underneath her armor. Never before had Big Sister seen so many mutants in a district, and for once, her hubris was beginning to cause her downfall. Before she could awaken, the metallic behemoth propelled herself to a nearby glass wall, knowing one advantage she had against the splicers...

She had a diving suit.

About to crack open the walls, the machine twisted her head back, tensing as a rocket met her red gaze. Time halted, and in an instant, the Big Sister felt her body racked with immense pain as she was suddenly subjugated to the immense pressure of the Atlantic. Hastily breathing and trying to calm her suit, the young woman inside panicked, and before she knew it...her world went black.

~~~
Awaken.
The suit of metal had lost most of her metal, and the memories of talking to...someone were hazy. Looking down, the Big Sister soon realized that she wore no armor, only her white, almost skintight diving suit alongside her hauntingly eerie helmet, which only illuminated in three colors, the present one being green. These colors were based on her emotions, and at the time being, green was a sense of not comfort, but not rage either.
Letting out a soft, inhuman growl, this hastily escalated to a high-pitched screech, looking at the world around her and becoming a bit distressed. Standing fully at 6'5", the woman whom had been subject to a world of grim decomposition and a fleeting mind could not comprehend what was around her.
She needed to find something to cling to, something to keep her steady...the Big Sister knew this, and it didn't take genetic engineering alongside the defilement of God to do that.
Elizabeth froze as she heard bookers voice, was that really him? Was he really here? Did he really die too? Turning fancily Elizabeth called out to booker once more, but this time, it was far different, it wasn't booker she called for, but daddy.
"Daddy?! Daddy are you here!?" shouted Elizabeth.
Booker froze when he heard Elizabeth call out for out for him, her daddy. He didn't realize that this was a totally different Elizabeth from an alternate universe, he was too overwhelmed with emotion to say anything. He sat down back on the bench and thought of what to say next. It was weird, but he felt that she was very close, "Anna, Daddy's here, please forgive me." He called out to her.
Ciel: Trump Card of the Burial Agency - Prologue
It was supposed to be just a simple job. A nothing job. This assignment had no leads to go on. So how did this happen? Well, maybe it was better to start from the beginning. And from there, Ciel could reassess her situation more calmly.
Executor Kirei Kotomine, after returning from a brief but mysterious disappearance, submitted the Monokuma Incident Report that shortly followed two similar incidents, Aoko Aozaki's Gotham City Incident Report and Shiki Tohno's Crossed Testimony, and more recently, the disappearances of Shirou Emiya and Shiki Ryougi. These incidents, all dubbed "Murder Games," caused a small stir within the Mages' Association and the Church, wondering what this mysterious phenomenon could be all about. So naturally, they'd send their best agent to investigate. The best of the best, the trump card of the Burial Agency branch of the Church, one Ciel.
She searched around the world, chasing connections that seemed to link her to a mysterious figure that a few Dead Apostles would refer to as "Arch Demon Akibahara." One could easily assume that he could be the source of these phenomenons going around. The demons she would interrogate all pointed to key places that seemed to ring bells; Las Vegas, Gotham City, Silent Hill, the works. But she couldn't find a way to connect them all.
One night, on a night like any other, Ciel would be examining the city from a rooftop, scouring for a place to conduct her next investigation. However, much to her surprise, a figure appeared, unbeknownst to her.
"HEY THERE, CUTIE. WANNA PLAY?~"
"Wha--?!" Ciel could only exclaim in surprise, before she was abruptly murdered, just like that. As she died, she had many passing thoughts. Who was this demon and why was he so strong? Was this the power of Akibahara? What would happen to Tohno? What would happen now? What...
Ciel went through all the trials like everyone else did. She picked her pins. She received her phone. She made her sacrifice.
One of the drawbacks of not having too many things precious to you; you appreciate the few things you do have more than others would. It was a tough decision to make when she had to sacrifice the memories of her friends and those she cared for, but she had nothing else. She knew very well that it would result in a shift in personality. No Tohno to exchange pleasantries with. No Inui to banter with. Only the memories of her bloody past and her work under the Church will remain with nothing else.
That's basically where she left off, it seemed.
With something of a blank expression, the Executor examined her surroundings, taking in the presence of the other survivors and whatnot. Well, perhaps "survivors" was the wrong word. But it was easier to say that than anything else. At least, until she could think of something else.
She felt somewhat insecure without her powers and weapons with her. Though she hated to admit it, it would seem she'd have to ally herself with and depend on other people. Alright, here we go. Luck of the draw. Who to pick? Who to pick?
Approaching Minato, Ciel spoke to him. "Are you alright?" She simply asked, deciding to ask a somewhat formal question rather than an actual decent greeting.
Susan - The Wishing Well
She'd been told to find a partner to use her 'powers', but Susan didn't feel very comfortable with that. If this was a game, were they supposed to be playing against each other? Perhaps they had to mutually work together to achieve survival, but after having all of her good will crushed by that mad doctor, Susan wasn't really feeling up for giving anyone here the benefit of the doubt. Keeping to herself for the time being then, she made her way to the closest landmark of any note-- the wishing well. She peered into it intently, musing about how deep it could be. Certainly an odd place to find a well, but who could say what was normal around here?
Curious if there would be a reaction, Susan leaned over the side and spoke into the well. "H-Hello?" she asked, unable to keep a slight quiver from entering her voice. Even here, her days inside the hospital weighed heavily on her mind. The endless haze of drugs... she almost wondered if she was still on them right now? It would explain a few things.
He sat down back on the bench and thought of what to say next. It was weird, but he felt that she was very close, "Anna, Daddy's here, please forgive me." He called out to her.
Elizabeth ran with such speed, dashing around every corner, looking past every player, until she finally heard his voice nearby,
"Anna, Daddy's here, please forgive me." he called out, looking to her left, Elizabeth saw him, sitting there on a park bunch.
"Booker..." called out Elizabeth as she took a step forward, her dark blue eyes emitting a sense of love, distress and connection.
The Wishing Well
well.jpg
You hear a sound coming from the wishing well in the middle of the street. You decide to go investigate it. When you walk over to the well, you realize the sound you heard was a voice.
"Toss in one of your pins and I will give you a gift."
Pins are very important to you, because they are your only method of fighting. Giving one up could be a sacrifice. However, the free gift could possibly turn out to be something handy.
Do you toss in one of your pins? Y/N
"Oh, I'm fine. Just getting used to not having my powers," Minato spoke with a small chuckle that seemed to be one more of discomfort than anything else. He looked the woman who had approached over, trying to decide on his first impression of her. She almost seemed to be dressed as a nun for one of the Christian churches he had seen but never attended, but then again, nuns didn't usually wear boots that looked to be made for kicking butt. Plus it didn't help the nun impression if he found her kind of cute.
Noticing the others were beginning to pair, Minato made up his mind, "Excuse me, I know this is rather sudden, but would you partner with me? My name's Arisato, Minato Arisato," he held his hand out for her to shake, not thinking of if it would be wrong to do such a thing.
Crono
Eye_of_Lavos_by_Monokuro.jpg
An blinding light, a burning sensation as he felt his very life essense sucked out of him, and then, blackness, that's all Crono saw, the deafening roar of the killer rang through his ears, Lavos... In the end, it was his own choice to become the victim of such a monstrosity, sparing the lives of two others in the process, but, at what price? Suddenly, a voice rang out through this before a light suddenly switched on revealing the... Grim Reaper? He had heard of no such thing, but, in the end, he listened to the advice he was given, picked a few pins that he thought would fit him, and got going. He wasn't sure where he was, or what this strange device he held did, but, he did know how to use it... Somehow.
Looking around, cringing a little as he still felt a little stiff from recently dying, he wondered where he was, or what he was to do, he knew he'd be useless in a fight if he didn't find a partner which he didn't mind; he was used to traveling with a group anyways. Now, the problem would be to find someone, anyone to pair up with, but suddenly, as if on cue, his thoughts were interrupted by a sudden screeching noise, deciding to investigate, he cautiously approached the direction the noise had come from. Curiously enough, the sight he saw was some sort of strange female creature in a suit, or at least that's what he thought it was anyways, but, not thinking better of it, he decided to approach it, not really sure what to expect.
"What a preposterous series of events." Hrist gazed coldly at the surroundings. Everything was strange and unreal to the Valkyrie, who lived and fought for Odin. The only thing familiar in this setting was the worthless vermin scurrying around. "It seems even in death, Humans find a way to plague the surroundings." She sighed, scrutinizing the huge man made jungle. "It seems this is the result when ants get excited at growing a few inches." She looked onwards, cold and passive. "Still, if I must partner with one of these people..."
Jodie was lost in thought as she stared into the sky, she remembered when she was a little girl and would stare endlessly out of her living room window, her parents never allowed her outside due to her gift. Jodie smiled as she heard a small child speak, it wasn't until the girl stopped talking did she realize it was towards her. Looking to the left, then to the right, Jodie's head stopped as it looked in front of her.
"Oh, I'm sorry, what did you ask?"
"U-Um....I thought that maybe we could...be partners...if you want to..." Yuka stuttered, repeating that question again to the older woman.
"O-Oh...I'm Yuka...Y-Yuka Mochida..." she then added her name soon after. She only thought it were polite to introduce herself too.
Maxwell smirked at Jokers sly wink, listening to his tale of eye-gouging from afar. Maxwell remembers when he watched a Clockwork Knight tear out poor old Woodies eyes. That was a good one, almost as good as Wilsons death. Maxwell returned Jokers wink with a nod. He liked this mans style-- a madman, no doubt -- but a man who is willing to kill and commit inhumane acts with little remorse. A shining example of a criminal, which was always a trait Maxwell admired.
Booker heard Elizabeth call out to him, he looked to his right and he noticed her standing there. He slowly got to his feet and shuffled over to her. He stopped a few feet away from her and gave her a rare smile. "Hello Elizabeth" he said
