Here we encourage creativity and want our members to pitch in ideas so that we can have fun! If you have any interest in GMing your own roleplay, and would like to have your idea heard, go ahead and tell it to us here!

*

Please see this document if you wish to submit a game to GM. Also, see these GMing guidelines to know what is expected of you as a GM!

If someone wants to adopt someone else's idea, that can be added too as long as everyone has permission.

*

If an MG fits the requirements and is approved, the idea will be put onto the "Upcoming Games and Tales" list in the Games and Characters thread once a name, a basic premise, event type (Game or Tale), and an intended time to play it are all given.

Do also see the List of Available Co-GMs thread in case you think you may need a helping hand here and there.

Also, note that you must have a very flexible schedule. We'd like to be flexible too, but not too flexible, or else some people will never run the games they want.

1982

On an Earth familiar yet distant, a small, Coalition-sponsored biological research team operates in the vast, desolate, eerie, chilly region of the Antarctic. Cutaway from civilization, communications with the Coalition sporadic and infrequent, the research team diligently survives in these harsh conditions. Living in a small assortment of militarized shacks, they huddled by their dying embers, studying development patterns in the wildlife of this Earth, comparing it to that of other Earths.

One day, communications flatline completely, the team abruptly cut off from their relay. Sending a small squad up a hill to investigate their relays, hours pass as the band of scientists refuse to return upon that hill. Growing worried, the rest of the team, yourself include, march up the hill, concerned that the blizzard winds had simply pinned the repair squad down. You can feel the winds pound against the layers of clothing, numbing your face, flares of white dancing before your eyes.

It is not long before you and the rest of the crew arrive at the top of the hill. Before you, a sight of unspeakable horror awaited. Crimson and bodily tissue was all merged together in one amorphous mass of flesh and bone, eyes, hearts, livers, guts, limbs- all merged together, forming some nightmarish blob of something that was once human. It is not long before the rest of the group panics at the sight of your former co-workers, your former friends, reduced to a screaming pile of ungodly mass.

Fleeing from the top of the mountain, taking a few causalities on the retreat, the relay station burns to the ground, short-lived fires braving against the freezing night. Returning to base, you and the rest of your team recuperate, trying to understand what unspeakable terrors are occurring. Scanning what little of the unknown biological matter you recovered, yourself and the team come to the revelation of a parasitic creature of alien origin. This parasitic creatures holds the disturbing trait of morphing the mass of it's consumed prey to mimic the appearance of an individual's species. Soon, a horrid revelation dawns...

Not all of you are who you seem.

Not all of you are human.

Welcome to Coalition Outpost 31

Welcome to Hell

---

A Murder Game/Tale based on the legend of John Carpenter's The Thing, players are scientists of Coalition Outpost #31, a desolate biological research station in the Antarctic region of an alternate Earth. Due to events unbeknownst to the players, a extraterrestrial vessel has crashed in the region, knocking out communications to Coalition HQ and severing the base from any supplies or information. Faced with an organism dubbed "the Thing", the Thing can shapeshift bodily matter to its own will to either disguise itself as a player, or if the time calls for it, morph into some ungodly, nightmarish, mutilated horror. It is the job of the players to learn about the Thing, exterminate all sources of it, or if the situation is dire, escape Outpost 31 alive.

Isolation, Paranoia, Cold, Murder, Insanity

Face all of these challenges and more as the secrets of Outpost 31 are slowly and slowly more unraveled. Discover and research about this foreign organism, in the hopes to understand the enemy and how to properly deal with them. Hold each other close, kindling bonds of relationships in times of utter desperation and hopelessness. Try to escape, if you can, braving through the endless seas of blizzards and white wastelands that lay beyond.

Do everything you must, but in the end, the question will remain the same.

Who are you?

---

I am going to keep most of the rules and such limited for now, as this will be happening I imagine much farther in the future. With Blood and Iron in my grasps for the future, I cannot do two ideas, so if anything, I might put this up for adoption if you will by someone who does not have something GMing at the moment. However, I will set up a few basic things I have conjured for this setting in terms of mechanics

-No Afterlife. No Mercy.-
-Survival is key. You are not fighting just the Thing, you are fighting the enivronment as well-
-This will be gory, as fans of the series may know. Tread lightly if you have a soft stomach-
-There will be two initial roles, though a maximum of three roles-
-There will be three endings to this planned. Possibly 4-
-Nothing is set in stone-
-This is a very rough outline of roles-

Survivors
Researchers, scientists, guards, mercenaries- it matters naught who you are. You are the crew of Outpost 31. Your goal is simple- survive. Survive against the elements, survive against yourselves, and survive against the Thing that lurks around you. Utilize the resources around you, and, if you can, use your research base to study the threat that is lurking among you.

The Thing
One of you is not who you seem- you are the original, the alpha, the organism that started this madness. Your intentions are unknown, perhaps this is merely your primal instinct acting, perhaps this is the workings of ancient Gods. Who knows, what matters if that you are the only one that can infect others, "reproducing" your species. Destroy the Survivors, leave Outpost 31 barren with streaks of crimson.

The Inflicted
Once, you were human, now, you are long gone from this world. Having been feasted upon by The Thing, you now seek to act as if nothing happened, keeping false smiles and false laughs as you murder your former loved ones. Although you cannot infect others like the Thing, you can still murder, and absorb some of their mass to shift your owns.

For now, this is it, a skeleton of what is to come. Feel free to comment on it. Thank you for reading.

Murder Game/Tale: Brave New World

(Spoilers for the game Off ahead)

You're unable to tell if it's day or night when you wake up, as you wake in a place that's rather odd. Not knowing where you are or how you got here, you look at your surroundings.

6C6DE1F4A567B61A3BFC357FFF2A674D19920508

Surrounded by water, you stand before a yellow tower, and nothing else. In fact, it's almost as if you've landed on a deserted island.

"There cannot be any other living beings in zone 0, so I must assume that you are only mere figments of my imagination."

A peculiar voice on its own, you are surprised to find that the speaker is even more peculiar:

latest

From there, you learn that the cat is known simply as The Judge, and you are in a place known as Zone 0. You also learn that there is someone else among you that seems to have an idea of what's going on.

AEecM5W.jpg

He's a man of few words, but he calls himself The Batter, and says that he's here on a sacred mission: to purify this world. However, in order to do so, he must find and eliminate the Guardians of the three zones-all of which, oddest and most frightening of all...are in your very group.

The Game

The game is a deviation from a typical traitor vs survivor setup: in this game, there are two different types of "traitors": Purifiers and Guardians. However, each group is trying to kill the other, in one of two ways: either by directly murdering someone they suspect to be on the opposing side, or by indirectly getting them voted out for a kill. That means each round will result in three deaths: the victim of the Guardians, the Victim of the Purifiers, and whoever is voted as Traitor. However, this game will only have three (possibly four) rounds, so it wouldn't be a proportionally large body count.

This game doesn't have a bad or good ending, as whichever side is good or bad is dependent solely on the player's opinion. If all Guardians or all Purifiers are killed before the end, by default they lose and the ending for the winning side is achieved. If both sides still have living members by the end, a final battle will ensue, where the survivors will side with whichever side they want to win, and as a result will only win if their side comes out victorious.

Roles

There are three roles in this game, two killing roles and the default survivor role. A nice game for cute children, indeed.

Purifiers

These people work alongside The Batter, choosing someone each round they suspect is a Guardian and killing them, in the hope of Purifying the world as a result. Their main goals are to kill Guardians, find a Guardian guilty of a murder each round, and get survivors on their side for the final battle.

Guardians

Guardians work for The Queen of this world, and as a result want to prevent Purifiers from completing their mission. Each round choose someone they think is a Purifier and kill them. Their main goals are to kill Purifiers, find a Purifier guilty of murder each round, and get survivors on their side for the final battle.

Elsen

Elsen, or survivors, are nonkilling people who merely want to survive this ordeal. Their goal is to survive the game, as well as to choose the side, Purifier or Guardian, to join with at the end, and assist them in their goal of eliminating the other side.

Murder Tale - Brand of the Hawk

Based on the hit manga "Berserk."

LtHRcha.png

How much have you ever hated someone?

Have you ever hated someone so much, that this feeling alone would drive you to do horrific things? Have you ever hated someone so much, that your whole life was focused on finding that person and ripping him apart? Have you ever hated someone so much, that you would forget about your humanity, purge it all just to find enough power, for one, single fraction of a moment, one chance to get your revenge...

What would your eyes look like in that very moment? Insane? Terrified? Passionate? Happy? Or maybe... satisfied?

HFlVC67.png

Would you dare to ever find out for yourself if you ever got a chance?

You wake up, and all you see are trees as far as your eyes can reach. A forest? That's not where you were last you could recall though, so what gives? However, you couldn't even ask yourself what you were doing in this dark forest with a number of strange, unfamiliar people, as your thoughts were interrupted by a hot, burning pain on your body. For one person, the pain might be coming from the back of their neck, or perhaps on their breast for another. Arm, leg, spine, everyone was feeling it somewhere at the very least. And upon checking the spot where the pain was coming from, you would all see that there was... a strange mark.

tumblr_nipfzs1EYh1rz9tp2o2_400.png

A strange brand was etched into your very flesh, as though a knife had cut into it and made it there. You feel a strange surge of emotion go into your head. A strange mixture of intense fear and rage vertebrates throughout your heads, as well as the sound of demonic laughter, like you were being mocked, humiliated, and so on, but in an instant, for a strange reason, you seem to calm down when heavy footsteps would approach.

In the distance, a rather large man, tall as a small tree and armored to the brim, would look upon you, his expression indicating that he had been expecting you, given that he certainly didn't look surprised or anything, and his features rather haggard and weary, like this had been a while.

Even when he opened his mouth to speak, you had no idea what kind of abyss that you were gazing into.

ErKHvdo.png

"Looks like the party's really getting started now."

Disclaimer: This will probably not be how the Tale would actually start.

Mechanics are subject to change if this ever happens.

Mechanics

This event will be, in a way, more focused on the relationships the characters will build with others than you might think, though of course, there'll be plenty of fighting to show off what your character can do if they're a fighter. After all, with source material called "Berserk," it's a given. It'll also be something like a cross between When the Corpses Cry and Restless in Rapture as well, or at least, that's how I envision it.

Throughout the event, your character will be plagued by the Brand of Sacrifice on their body, meaning that demons will attack often to claim your soul, and the brand will also affect your emotions to a degree; your character might be neurotic or angry than they ought to be in given situations because of the brand's influence, as to showcase how emotions of hatred and agony can overwrite emotions of hope and camaraderie. Despite the Brand in canon not particularly affecting a victim's emotions, an in-universe reason will be given for why it is so, as well as the fact that it thematically connects to things.

However, of course, this does not give you an excuse to have your character act in the IC purely out of what you think or feel OOC, so keep a watch on things.

Also, after every murder, rather than the practically standard practice of "murder, mid-chapter update, chapter update," it'll be "murder discovery = chapter update." So don't get tripped up too much by that. I'll explain why later.

Roles

2d353f291a5a4bc19259ec1e4fe3ec68.png

Similar to When the Corpses Cry, in this event, the system would entail one "Traitor" per chapter, though here's where it'll get a little different. Rather than assigning a "Maestro," I'll just be deciding on who will be doing the murdering based on character interactions / reactions / dynamics. A notable example of how I'd pick out a "Traitor" would be if two characters got into a heated argument and they leave that argument pissed beyond belief, and I would decide to pick out one such person to be able to commit a character kill of whoever they choose.

Similar to Restless in Rapture, you are also free to volunteer (and I would actually encourage you) to submit a kill as well, though there can only be a maximum of one volunteer per chapter. However, there's a catch to all this. Kind of. Sort of.

There will be no mystery factor whatsoever.

As in, rather than spending time trying to figure out who the killer is, upon the discovery of the kill, the players would all discover the killer standing over the deceased, the dynamic all being in the repercussions of murdering someone, what drove them to kill, and so on. After all, why not take advantage of the drama aspect of murder for a change instead of mystery? Going back to the example with the two people in an argument, perhaps the motivation for one person killing the other was exactly because of the argument ending on a bitter note, or maybe if they chose someone else to kill, the motivation would just be that they were so blindly enraged that they killed the first person they saw / wanted to blow off some steam, etc.

Regardless, a motivation has to be given. That all said, that's the reason why there will be no mid-chapter update thing, as the consequence of killing and everyone knowing will hopefully be stimulating enough.

Character Requirements

75542b26e91c4bf4bbc86950ed9d3994.png

Well... Uh, basically, the main requirement is that your character has to be able to feel emotion, as the driving force between some of the story, as well as the interactions, are based on the characters' emotions being manipulated. And naturally make sure the character isn't too OP, unless you're fine with being nerfed to a degree of course.

More may be added as time goes by, but we'll see, won't we?

Mogeko_castle_text.png

THE ASCENSION OF MOGEKO CASTLE

This roleplay is based around the game Mogeko Castle, stationing events after the 'Normal End' of the game. This means most of the characters in the game are deceased.

An ordinary-looking train seems to be travelling through the Multiverse, picking up characters that wish to board it. It goes down its normal path and stops at it's regular stations, to this universe to that universe - all according to the layout that everyone can see plastered on the train's inner walls, detailing every stop. But suddenly, in the blink of an eye, the train stops at a station unknown to all, simply named 'Mogeko Station'. The train doesn't move as it is the final stop and you have no choice but to step off.

You find yourselves standing before a castle, oddly shaped but still intimidating. Stepping inside will reveal an adventure you and your companions will never forget. With doors locked and not a single window to be seen, chased around by strange creatures who love prosciutto out to capture and torture you, the only way out of Mogeko Castle is up. Six (can change this number) stories high, the highest floor contains a portal that can take the you back to your universe where you belong.

Something seems to be working in your favor. As soon as a single person from this large group enters the door to the next floor, everyone will instantly warp with them whether they like it or not. (For the sake of leaving nobody behind to be eaten.)

But it's not just the inhabitants of the castle they must watch out for because it seems like some of your own companions have been corrupted by the Mogekos... and want you dead.

Welcome to Mogeko Castle!

Floor 1: Lobby
It's bigger than you think. Lots of places to hide. Contains the dining room which you probably shouldn't enter.

Floor 2: Mad Prison Cells
It's loud in here, a lot of Mogekos are screaming and yowling. They're more ruthless here and seem to be more violent than perverse.

Floor 3: Flower Garden
A river of blood followed by an oddly peaceful flower garden full of wriggling Mogekos. They're small, but they want to eat you.

Floor 4: Moge-ko's Domain
You're screwed.

Floor 5: The Hospital??
It looks mundane and harmless. A good chance to stock up on medical supplies and tend to the wounded. At the same time, it's the perfect place for the traitors to make their move.

Floor 6: Lord Prosciutto's Room
You're screeeewed.

Roles:
Characters nerfed for the safety of the castle and Mogeko. Thank you.

Escapees (Survivors)
Characters trying their best to scale the castle in order to return home. Unfortunately, the Mogekos seem to be very interested in their strange visitors.

Corrupted Mogekos? (Traitors)
Characters blessed by Lord Prosciutto. Their sins will be forgiven by Lord Prosciutto. Their lives will revolve around prosciutto and the dangers of hay fever. Their primary goal: eliminate the escapees.

5b05e2604c7cd3830e8b30bf506470ca.jpg

Lord Prosciutto
"I forgive the sin of all the Mogeko"
The Mogekos' lord and saviour. It doesn't appreciate intruders, sending it's minions to stop them. Despite this, knowing that her minions may not be the best 'force' to stop the intruders, Lord Prosciutto has secretly made their 'allies' turn their heads around...

I%EF%BC%9A%E3%83%A2%E3%82%B2%E3%82%B3.png

Mogeko
"Mogegege~"
The minions of the castle that reside in every single floor. They are rather perverse and love prosciutto, fearing and loving their god at the same time. Hay fever seems to be their main killer. They will stop at nothing to capture anyone who isn't one of them.

tumblr_n9pxpkbXXk1t0w12qo3_400.png

Moge-ko
"Yesss... All for Moge-ko, yes?"
An experiment of the past king and his minions. Trying to create the perfect high-school girl, they messed up with the ingredients and created a psychopath instead. Moge-ko rules the one of the floors with an iron fist, stop at her floor and you'll be forced to play many 'games' with her that put your life on the line. The Mogekos in this floor are much tamer.

tumblr_nlwemrbpeA1uqs8oto1_400.png

Yonaka Kurai
"..."
The spirit of the girl who last traversed into Mogeko Castle. Her body has been taken over by Lord Prosciutto, but she remains in the castle walls as a ghost that nobody sees. Except our characters. She pities them as she had once been in their spot, helping them find their way out.

murder game/tale idea (EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

rJhsX9s.png

A new scandal has arose in the multiversal community.

Someone or something is kidnapping random people from their universes with no pattern or warning to an unknown location. Countless still missing.

NffH1Rl.png

An island in universe limbo has appeared. No one suspicious in the Coalition registry has the capabilities or want to enter limbo, as there is no way out, and there SHOULD be nothing there. The culprit is still unknown, and the hostages of said culprit are on the island. However, no one outside of limbo could or knows of this, so the people who were trapped are seemingly trapped...Forever. Above the island is an endless cloudless sky, a perfect day, the sun and moon of earth circling around as they would if they were on earth. All people put on the island seem to be under some kind of hypnosis, as they are blissfully unaware of their kidnappings. In fact all hostages seem to be under the impression that they wanted to be here, that they flew here from their earth/whatever way they would get there. Their gaps in memory must've been filled in by the culprit, and all seems normal at first for the residence. All powers the characters might otherwise have are all drained, all equipment they might have are gone, no exceptions.

2SxOpH7.jpg

On the island is an apartment complex with the just right amount of rooms for the amount of hostages the culprit has taken, with empty rooms with the hostage's favorite color painted, personalized for each. The island also comes with a food market, a hat shop, a clothing store, and an apartment decoration store. To the right of the island there are empty houses with no signs of life ever being in these houses, a psychic barrier keeping people out of them. To the right of the houses is a bridge leading to a carnival island, as well as a news station. There are many other attractions to visit on the island, but there's a catch to this perfect life style that might scare a few of the islanders, encouraging them to make relationships....

font_previewd.php

In the center of the island there is a fountain that each attraction leads to. This fountain has an immobile jar with a pen and paper slips that fit perfectly into the jar beside it. Each islander gets three strikes, and they must vote for two islanders to be sent off the island each week. However, the votes end every two weeks. Each islander has to vote twice. Those who fail to vote, are never heard from again. The culprit, seeming to have reality-altering abilities, makes them disappear without a trace. Their apartments go empty as if no one was ever there. But this island is all about friendship! Why would you ever want to vote off your friends?...That's the catch. The most unpopular, the people who maybe the other islanders don't like very much, gets voted off. What happens to the person who gets voted off? A grand execution of the two highest votes is held at the end of 2 weeks where the person is giving a specialized send off at one of the attractions that all other islanders are forced to watch. The two voted off's apartments will still have their previous possessions, as a mortal reminder to the rest of the islanders. They wanted them gone, anyway~

Your relationships you form on the island decide whether you survive or not. This murder game is based entirely on character interaction, how far characters will go to survive in a completely social environment. Without their powers. Try to find your way around the island, discover hints to the culprit and maybe you'll find your way off, with your friends of course. If you don't have that balance, your case is...Cut short. No biased votes, ever against specific users. Inactive characters for more than a week are already gone due to the aforementioned rule that you disappear after a week unless you vote.

There is also an announcement via news broadcast each week with top scores for islanders that may influence their votes and how other islanders think of them. The categories are as follows:

Boy Charm Rating

Girl Charm Rating

Cutest Couples

Best Friends

Characters who fall in love can both enter a specific house, in each house there's a surprise that may or may not be able to lead the islanders to uncover for the culprit, but that's for if this becomes a thing.

I know what you're thinking, 'doesn't this encourage people to not use anti-social characters'. Well, no, that's the point. How far will 'x' go socially if it means their survival.

pWYsEjz.png

I am definitely open to suggestions on this roleplay given this is the first murder game i've ever even conceived.

No specific type of character is encouraged or boo'd, this is meant to be a collision of many different types of characters and how they react to eachother and how they'd form relationships. All 'skill levels' of roleplayers are welcomed, this game is for anyone. The vote a week thing is simply an activity check, which is subject to change. As well as the rest of this is.

One character recommended, but if you have to have two they both need to be from the same universe and have to have a reason to both die need be. As an example, Mario and Luigi, not Mario and Bowser.

Not supposed to be lore heavy so new or old to the Murder series you shouldn't be missing out on a whole lot.

The Despair Ball
A Murder Game/Tale Idea by @Mason Moretti aka "A"

Concept

A party at an insanely large mansion-like home that has its own bubble universe and invites guests from all across the multiverse to attend, except the party never ends. The mansion is staffed by artificial beings that do not eat, drink, or sleep; food is magically always supplied, with new delicacies coming in from across the multiverse; and new attractions and rooms within the mansion are always being discovered in order to keep things fresh. There are even soundproof rooms for guests to sleep in. Everybody received a personal note from the host and hostess, but few have even seen them amongst the partygoers. Essentially, the party is one big multiverse Lotus-Eater Machine.

There are also rules to the party. Most of them are rules of etiquette so that even if there are superheroes getting drunk or insane party stunts, everyone continues to get along and be happy. Some of the rules are odd ones, though, such as, "Do Not Discuss Wherever You Were Before The Party". Anyone who breaks the rules of the party suddenly... has other things to attend to and must leave the party.

Roles

Master &Mistress - Two characters, one male and one female. They appear whenever trouble is caused or whenever the party needs any redirection. GMs ONLY.

Lotus Eaters - Partygoers seeking to remain in the mansion's paradise. These players have the goal of continuing the party and upholding the rules whilst the Troublemakers try to ruin it. These characters have their reasons why they would not return to their home worlds or why they need an eternal bliss. 5-10 PLAYERS, DEPENDING

Troublemakers - Partygoers who have been awakened and want to destroy the illusion created by either breaking the rules or disrupting the flow of the party in any method possible without getting "caught" by the Master, Mistress, or their servants and being "removed" from the party. Their goal is to free everyone from the mansion's grasp. They have their reasons for returning home from the party. 5-10 PLAYERS, DEPENDING

Sheep Patrons - Partygoers who are there for their own reasons and can be swayed to aid either side. VARIABLE AMOUNTS OF PLAYERS

Servants - Players who have been eliminated and returned to the game. They answer directly to the whims of the Master and/or Mistress.

Rules Of The Game

1. All Iwaku rules apply.
2. I know this is a party, and we all know what young adults do at a party, but keep it in private chats or Blue/Red Star Bedrooms. If characters must do so, then they shall have a PRIVATE ROOM in the mansion and nothing of what goes on in the room shall be discussed in the thread.
3. No bullying is permitted, IC or OOC. Remember, everyone needs to GET ALONG at this party. Bullying of any form will result in removal from the party with no return.
4. OCs are welcome to be played.
5. Try to post at least once a day. Extended absence of posting will result in your character being either removed, or becoming an NPC.
6. I'm being lenient here, but no characters under the age of 18 drinking alcohol. There are plenty of other drinks available.
7. Suggestions of new rooms or attractions to the mansion must be approved by the GMs. The mansion is technically owned by the Master and Mistress, and would not create any room that neither of them would approve of.
8. Give your character a purpose to be at the party. All guests agreed of their own free will to enter the party. Don't have a character that won't interact with the party; even the Troublemakers are interacting with the party through trying to end it.

Rules Of The Party
(subject to change)

1. Treat your fellow guests with respect. A good teasing is fun and all, but being outright rude will not be tolerated.
2. Any person of nobility is to be treated as such unless they specifically order otherwise.
3. There is enough food for everyone. Feel free to share, however, keep food within designated areas.
4. Be careful. We are not liable for any injuries that may occur. However, violence outside of specific activities such as fencing or sparring is prohibited.
5. Do not speak of where you have been before arriving to the party.
6. Wipe your feet before entering the manor when coming inside from the outside or backyard.
7. Men in the men's room and ladies in the ladies' room. For those who do not fall under either category, there are gender neutral bathrooms.
8. The price for breaking a rule is your soul.
9. Keep indecent things within the bedrooms on the third floor.
10. Please stay off the roof.
11. Please alert the staff of any conflicts. We wish for peace amongst the party guests and would rather solve issues through mediation.
12. Try some of the cake!

Goals

The goal of the Troublemakers is to find an end to the party. This can be achieved through: A) Convincing people to leave the party B) Breaking rules without getting caught to disrupt the flow of the party C) Depleting the energy of the party, aka "Killing the mood" D) More literally killing the mood, and/or the hosts

The goal of the Lotus Eaters is to keep the party alive until all the Troublemakers have been removed from the party. Troublemakers can be dispatched by: A) Reporting rule breakers to the staff [REQUIRES EVIDENCE OF BROKEN RULES] B) Breaking them down to accept the life of the party themselves C) Outlasting the Troublemakers while they get themselves caught D) Good old-fashioned Murder Series... murder. [COUNTS AS BREAKING THE PARTY RULES]

Murder Game: Gregory Murder Show

You wake up in a dark forest, though how you could even tell it was a forest with all the fog around is anyone's guess. At least you're lucky enough to not be alone, as others have woken up in the same place. Where exactly are you? Why are you here? And, most importantly, how do you get back home?

As these questions are all addressed, they are unfortunately left unanswered for the time being as it begins to rain. You need to get somewhere dry, but where the hell can you go? All around you the only thing to see is heavy rain and trees...

...and, as it turns out, a small path.

With no other options left, you make your way down the path, having no idea where it will lead you. But as the rain picks up, you see in the distance a light up ahead-multiple lights, as if there's a house approaching. And as you arrive at your destination, you see before you...

latest

Gregory House.

A door opens, and a voice calls out, "My friends, please, do hurry inside! You'll catch your deaths, out in this weather!" Eager for the warmth of this building, you run in, noticing that you're in the lobby of a rather sinister hotel.

"After all..." The front door slams shut, and you hear it lock, and you turn, finding yourself standing before the man who had spoken to you. No, not man...mouse.

"After all, there are more interesting ways to die waiting for you, no fair letting a cold take you before that! Hee hee hee...come now, let me show you to rooms. I advise you to get comfortable, my friends...you'll be staying here for a very long time."

As you're sent to your rooms, you can't help but wonder at that. Will you be staying here? How long? You need to get home!

But soon a body of one of your group turns up, and you realizethe only way out is to play along with Gregory's game of life and death...with your own life on the line.

Gameplay

The game is very similar to a traditional Murder Game-murderers kill each round, everyone votes on a culprit, but with some special roles. There will be two murderers and two investigators, but each side has someone new: a Sorcerer and a Guardian. The Sorcerer works with the killers, and each turn gets to use an ability, which are:

-set up a fake crime scene
-allow a double murder
-have the investigator's results for that round be false
- eliminate the murder weapon
-set up false evidence to frame someone

At the start of the game, when roles are announced, the Sorcerer decides which ability goes to which round. Everyone will learn which avility was used after the vote. If the Sorcerer is voted out, the abilities are eliminated for future rounds. For example, if they're voted out Round Three, Rounds Four and Five have no abilities.

The Guardian has a job that is different, but still very important. Each round, they will be asked if they want to cancel out the Sorcerer's ability for that round. They may do this twice. They won't know the order in which the Sorcerer put every ability, but at the start of the investigation everyone will know the ability was cancelled and which it was in this case. Like the Sorcerer, if the Guardian is voted out or killed, they can no longer use their ability.

The Good Ending is earned by voting out two of the three members of the murderer team. The Bad Ending is earned if two or three of them are left undiscovered by the end.

And in this RP, all weapons will be gone, and everyone will be street level, or nerfed to street level if needed.

Murder Game ____: The Incubi's Crypt
Taking elements from The Caster Chronicles and a number of other sources

Premise

Have you ever wondered just what it would be like, having some sort of unimaginable power? The ability to, in the blink of an eye, make someone lesser than you bend to your will? Well, Silas Ravenwood certainly has. And speak of the devil(quite literally, depending on who you talk to about the fellow), he's the reason all of you are here! You see, a mysterious letter arrived recently, detailing a scenario in which there is a chance to be selected to receive an unimaginable power.... Should you cooperate, of course.

Being the greedy fuck you are, naturally, you couldn't decline.

But the question is, what have you gotten yourself into? Can this man really fulfill his end of the bargain and, even if he can, will he? What will it cost you? Well, only one way to find out...

Roles

For this particular idea, there will be no assigned murderers, and kills will function somewhat differently. Rather than attempting to find and root out the murderers, the majority of the cast will be murderers(or at least causing trouble for just about everyone around them). However, there will be three healers that the cast will be trying to root out throughout the game, the goal of these healers being to undo the effects and chaos the cast causes.

Powers

For the most part, powers will remain the same, and will not be taken away. However, I will ask that characters signed up aren't too horribly overpowered, or they are likely to be nerfed to some degree(solely so the power offered mechanic remains appealing- So I guess what I'm saying is as long as the character would still want the offered power despite how much power they may have, it's cool).

Afterlife

This game would not have an afterlife system! However, there will not be player death(unless agreed to or arranged by the player), and the majority of murders will be of NPCs. So this won't be a big concern.

Remember, it's free to play for life!

There was a rumour going around that this application can actually turn you into a magical girl, but that's preposterous.

Or not. Out of the many who play this game, you have been chosen to become a magical girl! In addition to protecting your city, you have been granted access to 'M-City' via teleportation, an area where many monsters pop up at night, and it's the job of magical girls to fight these monsters and bring happiness and joy to the people of M-City and their hometown!

You find an odd poster of sorts.

Magical Girls Wanted!
Tired of your old, mundane life?

Ever wanted to brighten up your day by being a hero?

Have you ever wanted to be a Magical Girl? Not just girls, but boys can apply too!

It's easy to find Magical Girl candidates among children, all the way up till the age of 20 or so.

But what about the ones older than that? Only a few Magical Girls over the age of 30 become Magical Girls, and fewer still after 40 plus!

If you ever feel that you're lacking something, or you feel lowly, now's your chance to shine with confidence! Join our Magical Girl Raising Project at this address, and in a matter of seconds, you too can become a Magical Girl!

You heeded this advice, before being given an odd egg-shaped device. Apparently it can teleport you to an 'M-City', whatever that is. M-City appears to be a modern city, but at night, various monsters might rise, and it is your job to defeat them, as well as aid the citizens of this city.

However, one day, it was announced - there are too many magical girls in M-City, and they must be halved!

This Roleplay takes heavy inspiration from Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku. However, absolutely 0 knowledge of the series is required to participate. Playing characters from the series is not allowed without GM permission.

It is recommended that players use characters without powers, or require tools to use powers, since you aren't allowed to bring your own weapons along. If players do use characters with powers, said characters will have their powers removed.

Duos aren't allowed due to the nature of this game. Humblest apologies. That is, unless you have this thing where a pair of twins fuse to form one magical girl with two personalities, but of course, I'll probably only allow one or two such characters.

Gameplay

This works very differently from a traditional Murder Game, yet somewhat similiar. There aren't really any roles aside from 'Magical Girl'.
Each round, players will have to vote for another participant. The one with the most votes is eliminated(or top two, if I feel like speeding things up).
However, the voting rounds are cancelled if a player is eliminated in another way, primarily another player killing her. Any kills and counters are to be sent via PM to the GM. The characters are NOT told this.

Now, here's the fun part. In your 'base' or civilian form, you will just be an ordinary human. However, you are blessed with the ability to transform into a magical girl. If you are a dude, your body will become that of a girl. It is recommended that your magical girl form look distinct from your civilian form.
Oh, and I should mention that in the canon of Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku, even animals such as turtles and mice can become Magical Girls. Make that of what you will.

Magical Girls have the following default abilities:
☆Increased endurance to mental trauma
★Enhanced strength
☆Enhanced Speeds
★Flight
☆Plus, if you get caught on camera, it'll appear as a blur!

Not just that, you are given one unique ability, and one alone. Now, you can stem many skills from one basis ability, but I don't want you to lift the earth if your basis ability is pyrokinesis. Use your ability to the fullest!
There is no actual time limit on your magical girl form, but using it for too long may put a strain on your body, and cause you to perform... not too well.
Some Magical Girls will also have their own weapons and gear! Most of the time, these weapons are an extension of their powers.

Afterlife

In the afterlife, you will stay in your magical girl form without any time-limit-based side effects. You will notice that the environment is a cloudy field of... clouds. This isn't actually the realm of the dead, but rather, the Dreamscape. There, you will meet its guardian, Nemurin. She too is a Magical Girl, but from a different time, and will help you in various ways.

Apparently, she has a fair deal of companions by her side too. Maybe they could help?

But yeah, train, have fun, eat vanilla scones and all that. I recommend training, though, in case you want to try to find a way to the battlefield later.

Even though this is a literal dreamland, things may not be as smooth as they seem to be.

Endings

Now, now, you think I'd just spoil a story like that?

Since there aren't really any 'Traitor' roles, endings will be decided in different ways than the usual, such as the paths and choices the characters choose. Choose wisely!

Peace certainly was a rare and beautiful thing, wasn't it? Hard to find, but when you could, it would fill you with relief and comfort. A sense of being able to relax. However, peace isn't the best thing, in truth - for with such good feelings, anticipation and fear can sneak in as well.

Rightfully so, in the case of what is now to occur.

See, you sorry little folk were in that state before all of this, weren't you? Before His Lordship summoned you here? Of course, clearly his little attempt greatly malfunctioned, as you worms didn't end up where intended. Difficult creatures, aren't you? No matter - His Lordship shall harness what he needs from you soon enough. Even the Absolute Angels and their puny outsider allies cannot save you now.

--

Right when things seemed to be getting normal, or perhaps not, it all came crashing down. Tch. Typical, huh? Oh, well- there's no use complaining, because it won't change that you've been brought into a Murder Game. There's a small chance of you getting out alive, but we'll get to that later.

Well, we've got a psychopath on our hands. Sounds fun, right? ..Sarcasm there, my friends. He's a murderer, a kidnapper, and a hell of a lot more that I won't get into. He's a ways off from where you are, but you can get there. Anywho, I guess I should get this crap outta the way...

So. Welcome to the Murder Games.

It's highly likely that you won't make it out of here alive, but feel free to hope, if you want. There are murderers out to get ya, you'll have our least favorite psychopath sending his minions out to get you, and much more. There's a lot of ways you can die, to put it simply.

You've got guys on your side, too, though. Guardians of sorts, investigators that'll help you unravel just who's doing the killing and dirty work for the big man, and, well... Whoever of you are innocent.

I hope you got it, 'cause I'm not explaining again. Oh... And I guess I should mention, you're kinda stuck on a shitty little island at the moment, but we'll get there and lend a hand soon.

...Oh, and one last thing; be careful. Almost everything you do will have an impact... And you don't want to get on anyone's bad side here. This isn't some kiddy park, and murder is no game.

Roles

Roles for this game will be as follows:

Absolute Assassins - As the name implies, these will be the people that commit the kills. There will be 3-4 Absolute Assassins.

Absolute Innocents - These characters will be the normal players of the game, and there's no special perk for this.

Absolute Investigators - Each round, these people will be able to investigate a player. When they investigate someone, they will be told the role of that person - be they an Assassin, an innocent, a sword, etc. There will be 3 Absolute Investigators.

Swords - The characters with this role will be something akin to a bodyguard. They will pick *one* character to be the guardian of, and when an assassin targets a character that one of the swords is a guardian of, the sword will die in place of the character that they're guarding. In addition, swords will gain mana slightly faster than other players. There will be 4 swords.

Absolute Extractor - Characters with this role will be capable of draining other players of Mana. Every other round, the extractors will be allowed to steal a bit of Mana from another player, thus earning the Extractor more Mana, and in turn more power. The greatest amount of Mana that will be possible to steal at a time will be 12. The identities of the Extractors will be hinted at through how much power they have, so you'll want to keep an eye on how much Mana/power people have. There will be 3 of these.

Abilities

In this game, characters' powers will be nerfed - but not in a typical sense. They will all function on Mana, and with the more mana they have, the more of their original abilities will be able to be used. The less Mana they have, in turn, the less powers they'll have. Every character will start off with the same amount of Mana(that will be fairly little), and will be able to gain or lose it from certain tasks they do. They can also have Mana stolen by the Extractors. Even humans and the like can earn power this way.

The Afterlife

When one dies in this game, they will be reincarnated as a younger version of themselves in a different area from the main group. With each activity- or 'quest' -they complete, their aging will accelerate and they will regain a bit of their abilities, bit by bit. Eventually, they will be reunited with the main group.

Character Requirements

The basis for characters on this is that it must be some sort of AU version of a character. However, it doesn't necessarily have to be a major au-- for example, if you don't want to change the character too much, you could do something simple such as have them be right handed instead of left, or vice versa, etc.

-Note; please excuse the low quality. Mobile sucks-

@Yun Lee
I can add one of your ideas to the interest check for now if you're interested as you hit the basic activity requirements. You would just need to Co-GM a game to be eligible to GM.

Anyway, I'd need you to pick one of your ideas if you're interested.

@Crow
I can also add your idea, but I think I'd need to see a bit more from you than Polar Express before you can GM.

@Hospes
I can also add one of your ideas, just tell me which you'd rather if any.

Keep in mind that it could be a while before any of your games go through so there's lots of time for things to change or shift.

Gameplay

In this game, things will be rather different from a standard Murder Game. For one thing, everyone will be given a F.L.U.D.D. machine, as character abilities will be gone and weapons will be confiscated. You won't really need them, anyway.

This game will have no Traitors. However, every chapter there will be a death. How? Well, every chapter, there will be something called a Death Game. These are like little minigames that players participate in in order to live to the next round. Some games involve puzzles, others involve teamwork, and some require some knowledge. Depending on the cast size wise, it may not always be one person who dies each chapter.

Now, how can you survive? In one area per chapter, there is a special immunity you can win if you complete a certain task. Only one immunity is given out, but you can earn other advantages too. Players in the afterlife can also aid others through certain tasks they complete.

Afterlife

If you die, not to worry! There's a fun little Afterlife system in play for you. You'll be kept busy until the final chapter, when you can rejoin the group.

Hong Kong.

The Pearl of the Orient.

It is one of the most vibrant and alive territories around, and it is also one of the most dangerous. For every karaoke bar, there is a prostitution den. For every honest and hard-working person, there is a crook working for his next score. For every Buddhist temple, there is an illegal gambling boat. Everything that makes Hong Kong beautiful is simply something that masks its darker side, filled to the brim with drug dens, corrupt police officers, and most prominently, the Triads that rule the territory with an iron fist, arguably the most powerful being the Sun On Yee triad.

Few, if any Triads, focus on qualities such as trust, family, and honor as much as the Sun On Yee, and it is perhaps for that very reason that they have risen to be the most feared, yet respected, Triad in Hong Kong. Or so it appears on the surface. While the Sun On Yee's reign has been consistent and stable, not everything is as it seems, and soon, the comfortable life that the Triad members enjoyed will soon come crumbling down upon them forever.

Mechanics

596e1557832344e1bf049d7c3ed9a9d9.png

To start off with, the basic set-up is that all the players are members of this powerful Sun On Yee triad, with the characters believing themselves to be comfortably established members of it (as in, your character can't be like a fresh recruit or so, if only for simplicity's sake) living in Hong Kong. As par the course for Illusion Games, if your character has powers, they'll be nerfed / removed, essentially replaced by skills relating to fighting (whether with hand-to-hand or guns) and other stuff related to being a dangerous Triad member.

As for roles, though I'm tentatively unsure if I'll include Saboteurs, the Saviors will still be around of course, under the guise of undercover police officers posing as Triad members, though they're more than they appear to be.

In essence, a little simpler than the idea I had for the Steins;Gate idea I proposed earlier, so I might end up doing this first if nothing else, but uh, I'm hoping it'll be a small while before I even GM anything again, so we'll see.

I suppose that's it for now, but as always, this is subject to tweaking, so we'll see how that rolls around if this ever happens.

You see, a mysterious letter arrived recently, detailing a scenario in which there is a chance to be selected to receive an unimaginable power, and anything you desire along with it.... Should you cooperate, of course.

Being the greedy jerk you are, naturally, you couldn't decline; either that, or, well, you find yourself unable to, for reasons beyond your full comprehension. Almost as though some sort of magic has willed you to accept the offer.

Regardless, the question is, what have you gotten yourself into? Can this man really fulfill his end of the bargain and, even if he can, will he? What will it cost you? Well, only one way to find out...

Roles

Healers - There will be three healers that the cast will be trying to root out throughout the game, the goal of these healers being to undo the effects and chaos the cast causes as well as sniff out and get rid of the traitors. They will be allowed to pick one person to protect per round. Note: these will be, in a way, the traitors of this game(due to it being an all villain game and these people being heroes)!

Survivors - Those who have no 'special' role, and are just trying to make it through alive. They can still commit kills, since it's an all-villain game and thus will be likely to at least be attempted at some point, but they will still just be considered survivors.

A note; Despite this game being completely composed of villains or just generally assholish folk, there still will be voting! Only it is most likely that this voting will be slightly reversed, with people attempting to vote out the healers interfering with the rather questionable things the cast will likely wind up doing. However, it will be an IC choice of whether characters attempt to vote any potential killers or the healers, if you feel your character might attempt to sabotage the catching of the healers to try to get the killers instead.

Powers

No character's powers will be completely removed. Yay. Everyone will keep their powers, if requiring light nerfing, but most characters will also start out slightly nerfed and eventually begin to gradually gain it back over the course of the game.

Afterlife

THIS WILL GO ONE OF TWO WAYS

This game will either not have an afterlife system(and maybe primarily have NPC death so people don't get left out when they're killed)... Or have a mix of player and NPC death with a sort of mirrored-dimension afterlife I can better explain later. I'm still deciding.

Character Requirements

While ideally, everyone will play villains, I'm going to be lenient and say anyone considered as antagonists at some point/are morally not... proper, should be acceptable. But if you don't plan to play a straight-up villain it can't hurt to make note of that in your application so I know.

Murder Game ???: Blood Gulch Blues

Premise
latest

You wake up in a strange place. You don't know what this place is or how you even got here. All you know is that this you want to get the hell out of here as soon as possible. And rightfully so, as you are in the Blood Gulch Outpost. What is the Blood Gulch Outpost, I hear you ask? Well, it's the home of the two most dysfunctional teams in the galaxy.

The Red Team:

hqdefault.jpg

And The Blue Team:

tumblr_me8bultioO1qa01uz.png

You have three choices. Join the Red Team, join the Blue Team, or go solo. It you're choice. But as you go through it all, you can't help but feel like there's someone watching you during it all...

Game Mechanics

So basically this game will be like any normal Murder game, with the traitors and all that good stuff. Here's the catch: once you pick a side you will not be allowed to trade teams. If you choose the blue team and decide to join the red team later on? Well tough shit. Same thing goes for those who decide to ride solo. Now don't worry, this really doesn't affect your ability to have fun as the game goes on, as there will be plenty of things to do for all three sides!

Despite the title of the game, the game's only location won't be just Blood Gulch. That would be boring. The events of this MG will be loosely based around the events of the first three seasons of Red vs. Blue. Blood Gulch will be the primary location for the first round (excluding the prologue), but everything after that will take place in a variety of different locations! I'm planning on this to be around a six round game, so there will be plenty of fun to be had within the game.

Roles
Like every Murder Game, this game has roles. Fun!
  • Treacherous Grifs - These will be the traitors of the game. They will act as your normal traitors would, and there will be three of them.
  • Sarge's Little Helpers - These will be the investigators of the game, and like most games with investigators, they can only investigate one player per round.
  • Soldiers - These will be the ordinary players of the game. Just the normies.
Afterlife
In the afterlife of this game, you will be helping Agent Washington track down and locate missing Freelancer agents who have gone MIA. Along the way you'll piece together a mystery, and meet some colorful characters along the way.
