Personality:
Sylvester is a passive man when it comes to group situations. He can be sort of a wallflower and tends to get nervous when put on the spot. Leadership positions are not his forte and he tries to avoid big responsibility if it ever arises. He works better solo and is at his best when with five people or less. He can be un-apologetically witty and fluid with his words and movements. Sarcasm is his go to when he is being forced to cooperate with somebody or being reprimanded for something he doesn't believe he deserves. He can be very sweet one on one but in a group he appears standoffish when something tragic happens. He's the type to not bat an eye when told that someone's died, but then send a letter offering emotional support services when everyone's left.

History:
Andrew lived three great lives, although the first was one that he despised. He was born Andrew Lawrence, to a poor family who could barely feed themselves let alone three children. Andrew was the youngest, but he was never familiar with and never had the opportunity to be familiar with his two older brothers, Frank and Roy who went to work in the factories at age 9 and 13, respectively. Their loss devastated, Andrew's mother and she wanted to keep him home and away from all harm but her husband refused to allow her to coddle his last living son and "transform into a simpering woman". His father, Howard pushed Andrew to earn money to support the family and although Andrew would have received more money working in the factories, he didn't want to put his life endanger. So Andrew became a newsboy. Being a newsie wasn't easy for Andrew. He was a quiet boy who liked to look up at the clouds every once in awhile or watch pretty women go by in colorful clothing. He was never made for the rough and tough life that newsboys lived.
When he was just twelve years old, tragedy came to visit his home, killing his mother and father in a terrible fire. Andrew was out at the time, earning money for his family. When he discovered what had happened he was devastated and fearful of what would become of him, since he no longer had a home to return to. It was one thing to be a newsie. But to be homeless as well? Andrew struggled to survive, but he could no longer hide in his home when the other boys saw that he wasn't like them. Andrew was daintier than them, more conscious of his appearance and he was flexible like a woman. Although in the 21st century it would be clear that Andrew was just double jointed and able to contort his body, the men back then weren't amused by his oddity. Andrew's life became about ten times harder as he aged and didn't seem direct his gaze to any of the women around him. The men accused him of being all sorts of unflattering things until one day they sought to punish him for the crime of not submitting to the female wile. Their action was halted however by a brave man, an outsider to their town. A man who exerted great strength despite his stick thin frame, a man who wore a stunning gold ring adorned with tiny jewels, a man named Julius North who owned a renowned circus. Julius had come to the town to recruit girls who wanted to try their luck at fame via trapeze but a detour whisked him into the path of Andrew. Julius rescued the boy from a severe beating and took him back to his logging. He gave Andrew good food, his first sip of whisky and solid advice. "Stay here with the bottom feeders of humanity, the ones who'll sooner gut you for walking a new line then follow you, or come with me and gain a new life." Seeing that his hometown held no prospects for him, Andrew decided to take Julius' advice and joined the North Circus.
At the age of twenty two, Andrew had become a professional trapeze artist and a supreme contortionist. He adored his circus family, especially Julius, who he considered a father. He no longer thought of his less than favorable beginnings or even his biological family, so when he officially changed his name to Sylvester North, the transition went smoothly. With the North circus, Sylvester led a fine life but as he aged and became more world weary he began to notice that a select few members of the circus, including his foster father never seemed to gain a wrinkle or sickness or injury. At first Sylvester chalked it up to a good health regime or a solid combination of religious idealization and proper nutrition, but as time passed he began to notice similarities in some of the members of the circus. Cornelius the strong man, Ira the sword eater, Birdie the lion tamer and of course, Julius North all wore gold rings adorned with jewels. They all ate together every night separate from the troupe and had an impeccable charm with anyone they met, no matter the hostility of the latter. Half curious and half filled with dread, Sylvester broke the most important circus rule and interrupted his foster father and his compatriots' dinner. He was surprised to find that 'dinner' consisted of a woman half out of her mind with blood streaming out of multiple wounds across her body. Sylvester was appalled and tried to flee but Julius caught him easily. Cornelius, Ira and Birdie demanded that the boy be killed but Julius held a soft spot for the boy that he considered his son, and instead of killing him, turned him into what he was; A vampire.
As a vampire, Sylvester now understood why the others did what they did and although frightened at first, he eventually embraced his new lifestyle. Sylvester stayed in the North Circus until 1914 when one night without warning, Julius, Cornelius, Ira and Birdie disappeared. Without the circus' leaders, the troupe disbanded and once again, Sylvester was left on his own. He became a one man show, travelling all over the states searching for Julius but never found him. Finally, Sylvester settled down in Baton Rouge and joined a coven.
