Matey stripped down and tossed his clothes in a pile to be worn again. They were technically dirty, but he didn't have anything else clean.

The young boy climbed into the tub and started to wash off. He didn't like baths and wanted to get this one over with. He paused to play with the rubber ducky for a bit before rinsing off. Matey, though he wasn't actually fully cleaned yet started to climb out of the tub thinking he was done.

Alan

After taking a shower he got dressed in only boxers and thought of the males' sleeping arrangement for the night. The oldest of the boys would be on the floor again and then that would mean two older boys and one younger boy per bed. Climbing into one of the beds he said, "okay guys two older boys in each bed and one younger boy in each bed." He hoped Charlie realized that he was considered an older boy since the boy really was stuck in the middle of all the boys.

Willy
Willy deciding to wear the pajamas tonight listened when Alan told him that only one little boy per bed and decided to go to the one Alan didn't get into. Climbing in he got in the middle and wondered which older boys would be on either side of him tonight. It obviously wouldn't be Alan or the boy on clutches so that left Charlie, Adam and Claus.

Claus had finished bathing Matey and had been one of the first ones to take a shower. It was nice and hot, but he knew he would be wasting the hot water if he didn't act quickly, so he did it as quick as possible. It was a little saddening that he was no longer having it, even sadder that he was mentally complaining about it. With a sigh, he saw that he had to share beds. Again. He was definitely unused to being in an orphanage like this. With a sigh, he randomly chose a bed and began to lie down on it, thinking about how the day went. Well he wasn't the one that was hit but one wrong move and he might... He sighed and closed his yes. Yes, he should be careful unless he wanted to invoke the wrath of their caretaker.

Charlie had been pretty lucky to have a warm shower, and he'd been pretty grateful. When everyone had finished showering, he began to wash everyone's clothes, starting with the stained ones. He knew sometimes there wasn't enough water to wash everything, but luckily, today wasn't one of those days. He left everyone's clothes to dry, and got into his own pyjamas, being one of the lucky ones to actually have any nightclothes. He then went into the bedroom, as Alan pointed out the sleeping arrangements. For once, I'm an older boy. He decided to get into the bed with Willy, mostly because he felt most comfortable with the small blonde boy over anyone else. He smiled, before telling everyone, "Your clothes are all drying in the bathroom. I can bring them in for anyone that wants them." He knew Aaron was still in the bathroom though, so he could possibly bring them in. Charlie didn't really know what Aaron did while he was waiting for his t-shirt to dry, but he didn't really care. Most of the clothing was practically dry anyway.

Leone had gone into the bedroom to grab a garbage bag and some clothes to change into from his bag of tricks and got in the shower last, not especially disappointed when the water ran cold on him. It was refreshing, at least. He'd try and pick out some bright sides to this whole scenario. Only a couple months and then he'd be out of the system. He'd be able to get his life in order then. Being a minor was difficult. He couldn't fill out college shit yet, not that it was really an option. When he was little he found it easy to slip off to the local libraries and look into ways he could get money without trying. Certificates of deposits, 529 savings plans, nothing that he could do on his own. He didn't have any monetary resources to speak of, and none of the guardians he'd come across were willing to invest in his future. So, going with the Army or Air Force or something was his only option. He needed to sign up for the ASFABs once school kicked off too. Which meant he needed to steal Wilson's credit card and play a little game called guess the PIN. Honestly, paying to take tests seriously played up the concept of conflict theory that he learned about in sociology.

He got out of the shower and carefully dried himself off, getting dressed in the standard black sweatpants and worn out tee attire that were always easy finds in the locker room. He made his way to the bedroom and settled down in his spot. He pulled out his avionics book and began to quietly read about the standard mechanics behind a helicopter's rotor.

Matey pulled his underwear on and went off to bed. He never wore too much to bed during the warmer months. There was no AC upstairs where they were so it could get very warm. During the winter months however he would go fully dressed to bed because it was very cold upstairs.

Matey climbed into the bed Willy wasn't in and curled up in the middle. He liked to curl up on the pillow, like a small dog or cat would, and sleep that way. Since he was still small he could mostly fit himself on the pillow. Matey practically passed out once he positioned himself. He'd played hard and long outside and was very tired.

Willy smiled as Charlie got into the bed and wrapped his arms around him saying, "thanks for giving me a bath and washing my clothes." He really was grateful for the older boy's help, he figured he could have probably bathed himself pretty good but washing his clothes wouldn't have been easy at all and he probably wouldn't have gotten them very clean. Yawning as he was very tired he added, "hey maybe tomorrow we can play with the toys."

Alan
Seeing Matey curled up he said without touching him, "comfy bud?" He wanted to make sure the small boy was fine before going off to sleep himself, it was one of the few things he was good at, taking care of the kids. He enjoyed it seeing them be happy and didn't mind sometimes taking a beating for them when they accidentally did something wrong.

Charlie hugged Willy back. "That's okay. Don't forget to thank Claus as well." He nodded, "Maybe." He liked that idea. Despite many of his friends acting more like adults than children, Charlie preferred fiction to reality. He was pretty tired as well, considering he'd been playing with the younger boy. He hoped Matey didn't feel left out when he played with Willy.

When his long sleeved t-shirt was finally dry, Aaron stuffed it on. He hadn't wore short sleeves since he began to live here, not even for bed or in the summer, and he wasn't changing his mind. His morning beating hadn't left a mark, he supposed he owed Leone one. Shame, he thought, quickly brushing his teeth, and drying off his hair from the shower. He returned to the room dressed in boxers and his tee. Everyone seemed to be getting ready for bed, except Leone, for that matter. He peered over the boy's shoulder to see what he was reading. He was only going to for a moment, but it was pretty interesting.

Leone glanced up when he heard someone approach. He put on a grin when he saw that Aaron was reading over his shoulder. "Hey Sarge." He greeted the younger teen with his nickname before turning his gaze back to his book. He didn't say much else to the boy, not feeling up to being a complete asshole at the moment. He was too tired for something that petty.

He eventually grew tired of reading, shutting his book and setting it aside. His gaze flicked up and lazily studied the details of the ceiling. Where the hell are you Martin, it's almost go time. The thought drifted through his mind as he shut his eyes and began to fall asleep.

"What are you gonna do once you check out, eh Little Leo? You need a plan." A young Hispanic man sat next to him on one of the walls that were meant to keep idiots away from the railroad tracks. "Once you're eighteen, you get thrown out in the cold. No help, no familia, no nothing. What are you going to do?" Leone glanced down as a train thundered by. "How are you going to survive? You can't take gambles, and you only get your record expunged once, so crime ain't gonna work out to well. Guys like you and me don't do well in jail, considering the fact that neither of us like getting it up the ass and we aren't meatheads. Now, Vin the Cocksicle would do excellent in jail. He loves sticking everything that moves." Martin continued to talk on, using his nicknames and trashing pretty much everyone he could name off the top of his head. Another train blasted by on the closest track, the wind billowing out the two teens' unzipped jackets. "Damn, might as well be parachuting from here." Martin laughed. Leone glanced up, startled, when the other teen lightly punched his shoulder. "Wait a minute! Air Force! That's it bud! You've had your head in the clouds for this long, why not make an honest to god career out of it? If you go Air Force, you learn how to fly without paying for flight school, and you get the government to pay for real school after that! Fucking genius, Leo!"

The pleasant memory came and went as deeper sleep washed over him.

"Hello," Aaron replied. "That's still not my name." He was pretty happy when the older boy didn't say anything about him reading it with him. My siblings wouldn't let me read. His ears were filled with loud, unkind laughter and mocking words. They didn't let me do anything. He ignored the thought to keep up with Leo's speed. Perhaps if school gave him something to be interested in, he'd be a better student.

When Leone finished, Aaron moved off, and got into the bed Alan and Matey was in. He lay on his back and turned his head. Charlie was out for the count, but he couldn't tell if Willy and Claus were. Matey was breathing like he was asleep. Alan probably was awake, but he could have been asleep. He turned to look again at the ceiling. The paint was peeling slightly, but it wouldn't be noticeable to some people. After staring at the same ceiling for two years, Aaron could tell. Nonetheless, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Willy turned and quickly hugged Claus when Charlie meantioned that he should thank the boy and said, "thanks Claus!" He then let go and turned back to Charlie, he was out just like Alan who was in the other bed both snoring slightly. Carefully he got in between Charlie's arm and torso and wrapped his arms around him slightly resting his head on the other's chest. He was really glad the other let him do that since he wasn't sure if he could sleep without someone next to him.
