Common Creatures -

Ghosts - Typical spirits that tend to haunt college dorm rooms or lake houses by an inconspicuous summer camps. Ghosts can survive(metaphorically) anywhere on earth, and are found in variation. These spirits, however, do not contain any specific traits that specify them further than just a typical specter. Ghosts are easily returned to their resting ground with a banishing spell, or can be eased back depending on why they remain. Sometimes it is as simple as a loved one telling them they are okay, other times it takes the death of another. Many guild members agree banishment is the most ethical and most efficient way to rid of the creepy crawly specter.

Poltergeists - These spirits tend to encase a smaller group of the dead. These poltergeists are bound to a particular family, and are incredibly similar to Banshees. They are mainly formed from anger, greed or spite. Poltergeists will not rest until they gain the attention they crave, and they are mischievous about it. They can move objects, shut doors, and create several hundred reality TV shows about them. Once they have fed themselves with the fear and attention they crave,Poltergeists can also inhibit one's physical form, bringing light to hunters least favorite thing in the world, possession. Possession requires holy objects, a proper exorcism, a successful banishment.

Death-Wards- These refer to all varieties of spirits that predict death and disaster. From banshees to dullahans to spirits in the sky, these death wards take a lot more than just a simple banishing spell in order to send them to rest. Most of them fear certain metals, majorly gold, silver, and iron. Many times they are formed due to violent ends, such as childbirth, murder, or suicide. In some cases, death wards are defeated by demolishing the area of their death. Many assume that destroying death ward bodies will send them back to their resting place, but it is rather the area where they have died that is significant. In Banshees cases, the death of their murderer will set them at ease. In other cases, some death wards are existent due to the absence of a proper burial. A final farewell is enough to soothe most.

Shapeshifters - Most commonly confused with bat and wolf based lover boys, shapeshifters vary from creature to creature. Some can shift into other human beings(low risk, tend to be confused with doppelgängers), while the more dangerous and wild of the bunch are creatures that display themselves as humans. Shapeshifters are among the biggest array of monsters, and vary from country to country. Common shapeshifters include Wendigos(although these are argued against due to the nature that they transform from greedy humans)(high risk)selkies(low risk), gorgons (medium risk with the right equipment) kelpies(high risk), skinwalkers(similar argument to that of Wendigos) (high risk), mermaids and sirens(both medium risk depending on your sexual preference). Shapeshifters tend to be weak to what humans are, including bullets, fire, etc. many of them however have a variation in metallic fear. Mainly silver and iron. Some shapeshifters have elemental abilities.

Hell-Bound - Despite the name, Hellbound creatures are very friendly and useful for guild members. Hell-bound creatures are responsible for recovery of damned spirits, making them vital in snatching many spectors. It requires a general ritual spell to summon them, but they will remain until they are properly banished, or they've retrieved what they had been after. Hell-bound creatures include hounds, other spirits, and even on occasion, a friendly yet demonic appearing capybara whose too cuddly for its own good. They are feisty creatures, however, and demand a gentle yet firm hand to guide them. These creatures are forbidden to be kept as pets.

Uncommon and Rare Creatures

Demons - Demons encase a large section of folklore, but most demons are confused with death wards and poltergeists. Demons tend to appear as humans with a desire to cause mischief, and much like poltergeists have the ability to possess. Demons, however, require permission for their vessels body. When they are in possession of a proper body, they are swift, brutal, and have use of magic. Their magic tends to lean towards dark or elemental. Without a proper human body, they cannot survive earth for long. They are weak to holy objects, banishment, blessed items, and some lower level demons are susceptible to silver. Demons tend to look like their hosts, but in dire situations they revert to a cruler form.

Succubus/Incubus - Another common misconception between hell's pimps and blood sucking boy toys, these creatures vary from culture to culture. Their main point is to seduce, feed off sexual energy, and in many, many cases, drink the blood of their victims or eat their flesh. These creatures are very similar to demons that blessed items cause them immense harm. They can use some variations of light and dark magic, and can heal themselves with others energy. Mainly they fear blessed items, or a blow to their heart tend to do the trick. Some of these lower level creatures are equal to what humans are, bullets, blunt trauma, etc. these creatures cannot be banished. Succubus and Incubus tend to appear as human, but have a more demonic form when they begin to eat their prey.

Fae - Do not let these creatures fool you, they appear generally as smaller men and women. Their ears are pointed, and throughout culture to culture, they have various intentions. Mainly, Fae like to watch humans for entertainment. They live in "tribes" and find their amusement in different ways. Some Faes tend to take humans and harass them, locking them in zoo like conditions. Their magic is mainly earth elemental, but they are incredibly sensitive to iron. Fae can shrink and only about half their population contains the stereotypical fairy wings. They can live in forests or in major cities, wherever they can trap humans to watch them squirm. Some Fae have been known to use a variety of hallucinogens against their captive humans, and even have small golem like creatures that can excrete poison similar to marijuana(except there is major risk of overdose)

Witches - Witches tend to arise from magic users, but they aren't incredibly human. Most witches have hybrid DNA, generally from that a demon and human. Witches can be male and female, and while many witches don't even realize they have abilities, some adapt to their demonic side. They tend to be medium risk, depending on their morality and upbringing. They are stronger than humans and can heal themselves without the use of light magic. Witches can be killed the same way as humans, although it is more difficult. Blessed items won't affect them, but certain spells are more likely to wound them. Witches also can attach pieces of their souls to certain animals(familiars). If a witch is killed and their familiar is still around they can easily be resurrected. They vary from culture to culture on major abilities, but they are very similar to humans in their ethic leanings.

Chimeras - A simple classification but a rare one, an creature that consists of three or more animals. These include many cryptics, such as the Jersey Devil. They are popular in culture, and have many reality shows based around them(for which the poltergeists send their grievance). This makes it particularly hard to hunt them. Whether or not a sighting is genuine makes hunting them nearly impossible. The typical chimera is incredibly rare, and tend to be the product of witches or of demons experimentation.

Doppelgangers - These confusing and nasty creatures tend to be more of legend than reality. Many confuse doppelgangers with shapeshifters, and some even confuse them with demons. Legend has it that everyone has a doppleganger, and simply put, the doppelganger is not complete without their double. In some legends, a human being is not complete without their doppleganger, and it has been reported that some people conducted rituals to bind themselves together. The results have been recorded to be disastrous, including depression, schizophrenia, and many people's worst fear, incompetence. Other legends say that Doppelgangers are extensions of one self that had been ripped from one's soul, generally through a ritual of banishment. Whatever the case, from the information that has been written about them, they always require to be a part of their mirror image. They are generally harmless to others, but there are different variations of their intentions through generations and cultures.

Legendary

(These creatures are so poorly recorded in the guild's history that it is assumed that Friar Daniel created these in a lead paint based pipe dream)

Angel - Yep, this may seem bizarre, but guilds around the world have never encountered a proper angel. There have been recordings of bizarre visions of indescribable creatures coming to guild members and telling them to continue their work, however, no items of these creatures have been recovered.

Hydras - Again, it may seem like a surprise, but a variety of giant reptiles have never properly been hunted or recorded. Hydras tend to be the height of this mythical hierarchy, where this creature has received the highest amount of fake reporting. Many guild members claim to have slain the fantastical beast, but there has been no evidence of such things ever existing.

Djinns - Talking about a pipe dream, it had been reported that the first ever proper sighting of a Djinn in the guild's history occurred during a rapid growth of poisonous mushrooms in the area. It is assumed the sight came from a mixture of things, including a drug induced state and a lower demon's mischief.
