Junior is gregarious and always open to getting along with his peers. He is also quick to come off as self centered and bold in these encounters, surprisingly very much opposed to mincing words and respects others who are the same. He likes things quick and to the point, and can be pretty impatient when it comes to more introverted people. While amiable in most cases, he isn't one to shrug off conflict. He IS the conflict. Even if he isn't always the one to finish it, he is often seen starting it. The smallest things that bother him will be blown up and made a point of. He has never been scared of sharing his opinion or rubbing others wrong. If anything, he will look for fights and will try to get reactions out of people, always eager to throw down with others just as hot blooded as himself and it isn't unlikely for him to make friends by doing so. He's an out of the box thinker that has no concept of personal boundaries and throws all tact out of the window.
Competitive by nature and raised on a silver spoon, James also has an air of superiority to him. Overconfidence bordering arrogance but is a good loser. He lives for the thrill of a challenge rather than the praise that comes with winning. He is naturally intelligent and has the athletic prowess to match the confidence. Where he fails is primarily in his inability to be vulnerable around others. While he is alright dealing with other people's emotions, he is helpless with his own, often burying them or laughing them off as some kind of joke. When he does let others close, however, he is fiercely protective and just a little clingy.
Background:
Contrary to how he may come off, Junior was raised in a wealthy though negligent household. His father is the CEO of a confectionary company and his mother comes from old money. He'd always been an energetic child with an unbreakable will and an abundance of mana that went unchecked. Though his parents meant well trying to channel his energy into a wide variety of activities, Junior had always gone against the grain and did his own thing. Even more so when it's the opposite of what his parents desired. He'd often skip out on classes to hang out in a bad neighborhood miles away with a friend he made who defended him from a group of thugs.
The friendship was brief, as the other tried to take advantage of him and had him kidnapped but it was one that led him straight into a world of seeing just how much he could get away with. Rather than facing any trauma, the kidnapping led him to channeling his energy into fighting instead. As street fights became more common, his mother enrolled him into different martial arts, each instructor giving up on him one after another. It wasn't until he connected with a boxer known by few as the warlock of greed that he finally began to tone down his reckless behavior and focus on something that didn't disappoint his parents entirely.
All was going well until he reconnected with his first friend once more and got framed for murder. As expected, charges that were quickly swept under a rug by his father who paid a substantial amount of money to pin it on someone else. Tired of his son's endless drama, he helped him apply to
