You stand behind the limit of the retracting curtain, people with green runes in front of their mouths send their words to each other backstage. The deafening sound of clapping hits you like a wave and you couldn't hear the words directed at you by the tall, powerfully-built man who once sat with you here. He now stands and makes his way onto the stage, to which the noise increases, a feat you previously thought impossible. That man is the Head of Defense for Grand Doma, Valk Moriden, you met with him a few times before now. He's a confident, hardy fellow impassioned and righteous in his work, he's also going to introduce you to the millions you'll be assigned to save. He has a sunny grin on, he lifts his arms then softly lowers them to quiet the crowd. The lighting floats to follow him as he slowly paces, addressing the masses.

"Gents, ladies. The hell would we be without magic?" Another applause breaks out, but is more quickly silenced. "Without transmuting stations clean our water, we'd be at the mercy of water-born disease and pollution. Without honest druids performing natural magic to break down our waste and return it to the earth, we'd be drowning in trash. Portals connect cites in a instant that would take months to travel to without. Physical empowerment spells allow many jobs not to be taken by expensive machines. Healing and psychic magic have aided the fight against illness and injury in leaps and bounds..." He pauses briefly, his warmth is switched instantly to chilling seriousness.

"Unfortunately magic has caused one large problem in our fair city. Since the genes for the 'spark' of magic are so concentrated here, the unlawful have access to this gift as well. Terrible people who fight against our city, your safety, even order itself are given powerful weapons at birth. It's a never ending battle to keep these people at bay and your police work tirelessly every day for your safety, however, there are some people even the police can't handle. Gifted magicians that have been performing such acts as grand theft and mass murder with no way for us to stop them. Well today, my good people, we take the step forward to end this menace. I present to you the solution to your fear, a specialized task force entirely made up of gifted, specifically tasked with the stopping of such criminals!" He swings an arm to you, the crowd goes wild. And just like that these people, full of hope, have placed their livelihood in your hands.

Welcome to The City of Grand Doma, The Magical Capital of the world. Here being born without magic is extremely rare, and magic has been heavily integrated into modern life. You are a gifted, a person granted with supreme magical energy. You have been commissioned by the government to join a team focused on combating other gifted who have turned to crime. You will face overwhelming odds and death defying situations, all for the sake of innocent lives.

People born with the spark have one magical font they can access:

Fire: You can produce and control heat, flame, and explosions. The higher the temperature the stronger your magic, but colder climates will weaken you.

Water: You can produce and control water. Though controlling existing sources is found to be more powerful then conjured. (Ex: a wave you launched forward on dry land will be smaller then the one you can pull over from a lake)

Ice: You can produce and control cold and frost. The lower the temperature the stronger your magic, but hot climates will weaken you.

Wind: You can control air. A envied font for versatility and, of course, flight.

Earth: You can control earth. The more refined the material the harder it is to shape, (Ex dirt is easier then metal.) but the tremendous strength of this font is feared.

Enchantment: By placing runes on people or objects you apply certain effects to them, from strength to heaviness to a aura of lightning. The more complicated and/or powerful the rune the longer it takes to apply. Runes must be applied with touch and can also be set with triggers for activation.

Psychic: You can read and to some level control the thoughts of others. Full on mind control is very difficult, less grandiose effects are much less strain such as extreme migraines, confusion, so on and so forth.

Illusion: You can produce illusions. You create these for not only sight but the other senses as well. Like runes more complex and longer lasting illusions take more effort and time to cast.

Space: You can produce portals. The problem with this font is full on holes through space from one place to another that don't instantly close take days to cast, but you can warp yourself, others, and objects varying distances in a second. So that's cool.

Transmutation: You can turn something into something else. The more like each other the two things are, the less effort and time is used to change them. However the even the slightest use of this font is exhaustive in its own right.




You've been born with not a spark but a flare of magic, choose one of these bad boys:

Double Fonted: Right on the tin, you were born with two fonts of magic.

Font of Life: You can control the natural ability for the body to heal but also for it to die. While commonly known as Life and Death magic, the two come from the same font. You can even animate corpses with unlife, which is illegal in Doma for obvious reasons.

Font of Arcana: You posses the rare ability to control Arcana. Magic begins in a inactive state called mana floating in the air, then when casting begins it forms into a active energy called arcana before changing to its respective effect. In addition to the weaponization of pure energy you can also try to control the spells of others to a lesser degree. You cannot dispel magic though, there is no existing way of doing that.

Summoner: You can call forth and enforce you will upon magical beings. The weaker the creature the less strain it is to keep it around. Strong monsters should only be summoned for a short while, too long and your heart will give in.

Nature Font: Your link with the Earth Font goes deeper then most. You can also control and conjure plant life as well as being able to speak with animals.

Tempest Font: Your link with the Air Font goes deeper then most. You can also conjure and control lightning.

3. Have your IC drama, but don't bring that stuff into the OOC. And don't god mod, your special, not a trained badass.


4. Listen, stuff happens. But if you don't think you'll be able to stick around I'm gonna respectfully ask you to not join. The sudden disappearance of a char can be a real hinderance to a RP.


5. Romance is fine, smut goes to PMs you filthy heathens. (jk) Just make sure you got the consent of your fellow player.


6. Here's how it goes. I'll post. Four days will pass. If you haven't posted by that point I'll nudge you. A day will pass. I'll move on without you if you haven't posted. If this happens twice in a row you'll be sent away with a Viking funeral.

Personality: He's very laid back, rarely getting excited, angry, or generally anything that requires effort. He's not exactly lazy - he'll do a job if it's assigned to him, and he'll do it to the best of his abilities - But he doesn't exactly go out of his way to do work. He tries to be nice, though, whenever he can, mostly to make up for his crude nature when he was younger. He has a rather dry sense of humor, tending to be a bit snarky. He tends to,make insensitive remarks sometimes, as he assumes people are just as thick-skinned as he is. Tends to brood or similar if left alone, but is actually very friendly to people. A good people person, or at least he tries to be. Due to his abuse as a child, he gets very flinchy at sudden movements and when people pretend to or do it him. Sometimes forgets to say things out loud instead of just thinking them. Drinks an ungodly amount of sugar water for whatever reason.

Strengths:
• Amphibious - He can breathe water and air, allowing for easy access to aquatic areas. Not that that would come up very often.

• Composed - Very calm, all the time. Rarely loses his temper, gets agitated, or otherwise blow his lid. Also allows him to keep his cool in tense scenarios.

• People Person - Generally gets along with people very well. Even if he doesn't make friends, he can at least coax some secrets out of most people.

Weaknesses:
• Traumatized / Pacifist - Did not have a fun childhood. Hates violence and as such avoids it whenever possible. He even avoids self-defense.

• Fragile - He's got weak bones. Plain and simple, mermen aren't the sturdiest creatures.

• Thirsty - Drinks far more water than most other races. Sugar water, mostly. Gets dehydrated faster and very fatigued if kept from water.

Font: Psychic. A talented mind reader who prefers more subtle tactics. And Illusion, something that meshes well with his more pacifistic ways.

Gift: Double Fonted. Has both Psychic and Illusion.

•Pistol - Just for show. It's loaded but he wouldn't fire it. More likely to hand it off to a friend than use it.

Backstory: Born to two unknown parents, he was given up for adoption and eventually adopted by a human couple. However, the mother died and David, the father, remarried to a woman named Dana, who provided financial support but wasn't particularly nice to Davison. Dana was fond of depriving Davis of water, only giving it to him when his complaints became unbearable and she didn't feel like beating him. She was a tough woman who would sometimes beat Davis, mostly on the grounds of him complaining about lack of water too much or simply for the fact he wasn't human. Eventually, once David got on stable ground and got himself a good job, he divorced Dana, and he attempted to make amends to Davis by giving him more freedom in life.

Davis went to a public school, where he made friends with a young human boy called Ethan. Ethan accompanied him through the years, even after high school, and they eventually became roommates. Even now Davis lives with Ethan. Ethan (who is also a Psychic) is the main provider, as he works at a hospital. Davis tended to work whatever job he could find. Davis and Ethan, both being Psychics, tend to hold silent conversations with each other by simply reading each other's thoughts, and there are no secrets in their apartment. Mostly.

Appearance: She's about 5'4" in height and weights about as average for her height. She is not what you would call fat but she has just enough meet on her bones to be attractive to most people. Often dying her hair it can range from anywhere as darker pink to scarlet red or purple even. She often accessorizes in a very goth/punk-rock style with leather wristbands, chokers, earrings featuring pentacles, crosses, skulls etc. Leather and denim jackets are a common sight along with torn jeans, dark coloured skirts, plaid shirts and tank-tops. Oftentimes she wears either black combat boots or Dr. Martens type shoes with thigh or knee high socks depending on if she's wearing a skirt or pants.

Personality: Rose is a fiery one always charging head first against her problems and taking shit from no one. She has next to no respect for authority though at times she surprises even herself with how much self control she can exhibit. Practical jokes or pranks are a common place with her, she uses it to test the waters with people, get to know them better and those she takes a liking to get a double dose of the same. She's a loudmouth and rarely keeps her opinions to herself. With unexciting things she loses interest quickly and moves on to other more interesting topics. She is known to be a flirt and uses plenty of euphemisms when she engages someone. If she thinks a person is being shy and embarrassed about it she only brings it down twice as hard enjoying to tease the hell out of them.

Strengths:

Stubborn as hell - When she puts her mind to it she will fulfil her goal even if she has to smash through a wall with her forehead to do so.
Natural talent - When it comes to magic and her gifts she's a natural. She lets the magic take her over and help her get whatever she desires.
Marathoner - No she never ran a marathon but she may as well should have since she has about as much physical stamina on her hands.

Weaknesses:

Twice as bright, half as long - Her magic despite being natural has no valve or control and she often burns through her pool of energy quickly.
Cocky Loudmouth - It's not uncommon for her to let slip something she wasn't supposed to while she's mouthing off at someone.
Disregard for collateral - She just doesn't care if something or even someone gets broken while she's chasing her goal. She wouldn't let people die or kill them but still.

Backstory:

Rose was always what you would call a problem child and a straight up firestarter. She was one step away from juvie when she was a teen and showed no concern for it. She had everything really, a nice and calm household, more than enough entertainment from all sorts of mediums but she just threw it all away and went out looking for trouble. It's impossible to figure out why or when she decided she wanted to be this naughty kid but as soon as she started it was impossible to reign her in. Their parents locked her room, she just went out the window. They barred the windows she broke the lock on the door with her chair and feet. It only got harder to rein her in when her Spacial magic awakened and she could just teleport outside the house. Her parents were sweet and kind people who had nothing but pleasant words for their only daughter and couldn't bring themselves to discipline her properly. Not even the threat of being sent to juvie got to her.

She had her own little teen gang that got up to the usual teenage crime such as smashing up mailboxes, setting fire to trashcans and occasionally breaking and entering or drinking. The world was hers at the time, no rules or adults to tell her what to do, just she and her friends messing about and having fun. Of course it all had to end, after a run-in with an actual gang all of her friends chickened out and the group was disbanded right there on the spot. Left alone she was no fool to get her self hurt, killed or worse. Instead relying on her teleportation as a safety net she ran away safely. With no posse to speak off she seemed to have calmed down completely, most assumed the encounter had gotten to her as well but in reality she found some of the gangsters one by one and took them on with a surprise attack often resulting in broken noses and injuries as a result of her gift. Someone saw fit to investigate who the vigilante was, perhaps even bring them to justice but when they found her they decided to bring her in, humble her a bit and apply her for the new squad, which she more than happily accepted seeing it as a free pass to go nuts on some mean folks.

'Mini' - Minaerva Black from The 81st Street Mission

Appearance:

One of the derrogatory nicknames she had growing up was "Mixi" instead of Mini, and, even her mommy called her 'Beastie.' But she did not mind it. Really. For the girl truly is proud of her mixed heritage. Minaerva has the fine facial features of an Elf yet with the green skin colour, large triangular ears and pointy tusks of an Orc, and has sparkling emerald gem eyes and thick black hair of a Dwarf. Normally she keeps her hair long so as to be styled when needed for a performance, but usually it is tied back or pigtailed or even tucked away under a hat.

She is short and sleight, standing in at 4'11" (and a half) and weighing in at 105lbs. And again the features of her lineage are apparent. Height, or lack thereof, is definitely from her Dwarven lineage, but she has the round bottom and great centre of gravity of her ancestors. She may not have the toughness nor thick skin from her Orc lineage, however, she does have the powerful legs and endurance of those ancestors. And not as graceful nor grand as an Elf, she still maintains good posture and agility from those ancestors. What she truly does lack is the sheer muscle power and pure physicality of her combined ancestry. She is not scrawny though, for she is constantly active and a natural, yet non-practicing parkour artist; the girl is constantly climbing, swinging and leaping off things.

The orphan does have her tongue, belly, nipples and ears pierced, and yes, she has several tattoos, but she dresses rather plain for the most part and is usually found wearing her workout gear of tights/yoga pants and athletic tops or when it's nice out; shorts and cut-off tees. Then there are the days when she wants to dress all 'street' too and dons a cap or toque and wears the gangsta-girlie baggie clothes. She thinks she looks tough, but its laughable really, yet still quite adoreable. Footwear and accessories are usually nice colour compliments or accents she really is concious of-- even to the point of changing up her case and homescreens on her adored cellphone. Even her headphones are customizable too.

She never wears skirts nor dresses unless costume or wardrobe demands it. Right now, she wears very lovingly crafted ones while performing at the inhuman burlesque shows. And she does not mind wearing skimpy or tight clothes while performing or while in public. Any if she gets any of 'those looks,' she just rolls her eyes, or just laughs them off.

Oh, and don't even try to take that necklace off her lest you want to have all 105 pounds of Mini go all Beast-Mode on your ass!!!

Personality:

Mini really is a sweetheart, with much polites and much niceness, despite the bigotry and ignorance some will openly have against her. She is always willing to help out and volunteer her time for others. The girl rarely expects anything in return save for a 'thank you, Mini,' in kind. She has a sharp sense of humour and loves to laugh. Oh but those smiles... She normally has one plastered on her face but enjoys smiles on other peoples faces even more. Mini loves all kinds of positive reactions and has a knack of shrugging off negativity; she is a performer afterall.

She is also diligent in her workout routines and dance/theatre practices. She loves her job as a dancer/acrobat/actor and takes it very seriously. Right now she is with a burlesque troupe where she met her current girlfriend Shay, a half human/elf. But this is where she has major issues.

Friends she can keep and has lots of them, but lovers...? She seems to smother them and chase them away. She has anxiety issues with intimate relationships and her fear of getting dumped usually gets her to act up all flaky and ends up getting dumped for being all flaky. And so she looks for love again, only to do it all over again.

...but then there's that mouth. They call her Talkie for good reason. And Motor for good reason too. If her mouth isn't moving then some other part of her body most definitely is. Fidget would be another good nickname for her too. Or Tappity. Or Dancy. Or Get-off-your-phone-already. Or better yet, Fiddles-with-things-even-when-told-not-to-fiddle-with-those-things. Her friends could be nicknamed The Facepalmed. Yet even though they facepalm in reaction to their diminutive friend, Mini is usually just laughing on or still carrying on the conversation all by herself, oblivious to the Facepalm. She's not insulting nor insensitive, but she can be rather obnoxious with her motor mouth constantly running.

And then there's those times whe she loses her temper; there is only so much negativity she may shrug off without harbouring such ill feelings afterall. Rare are those times when she does lose it, but when she does, one's jaw would drop with the sheer rage that little thing is capable of. But that shock may turn to fear if she loses it and she happens to use her powers at the same time. The power of a storm named Minaerva at ground zero is quite the awe filled and awful sight to behold.

Strengths:

+ Positivity - It is so hard to bring her down, it really is. High energy, infectious smiles and bubbly giggles, adorkable, polite and kind. Mini really is a good pal to have around and if she is your friend, she will try to keep you happy too.

+ Acrobatic - even if she did not workout at the gym nor practice at the local college gymnastics facility, she would still be limber and in shape. She is naturally active and quite agile. Not exceptionally strong, but strong enough to lift her little frame and bounce, flip and roll around like a small yet hyper green ball. She is quite daring and can climb like a squirrel too.

+ Heroic - Why not. Even though she is tiny, she will go out of her way to do daring deeds and take big risks for huge rewards. Whether it be the performer in her craving applause, awe and accolade, or whether it be because she is small and feels the need to prove herself to the world, or whether it be because she really believes she is a superhero, it matters not in the end. This little Beastie lives up to her name; when she goes Beast Mode, she zones in and becomes single minded in completing the task!

+ Wind Font Expertise - The main reason her mother had high hopes for her was because she was gifted in using this very Font. The excess energy-- hyperactivity some may say-- she had while growing up was channelled into creativity which blossomed into the performer she is today. This channelling also included taming the power she had inside. And people still wonder how she can leap so effortlessly and climb like a squirrel so easily; she's actually just flying.

Weaknesses:

- That Mouth/That Fidgeting - Here we go... How can such a sweet little thing keep on talking and talking and talking and talking and talking without taking even a single breath...?! And exactly what was she talking about again? And man, can she not stop moving too? Stop tapping! Yes, you're popular, now get off your phone! Don't touch that! Mini! I said don't touch th-- AAGH!!! SEE?! I told you not to touch that!! Stop dancing! People are staring! Ugh! ~Facepalms~ She's talking again... Motor, please! Can you stop that tapping! - Dailiy experience by friends while hanging out with Minaerva...

- Self-Worth Issues - Yes, she has lots and lots of friends, and she is, in fact, quite poplular with many of them. But what most do not realize is how little she thinks of herself. Not only because she is a small person in a big world but because she fears letting people down; she fears failing those she cares about. Sometimes she does end up being too clingy, too over-bearing especially with the ones she falls in love with. This leads her to being manipulated by those same ones she tries to please. Take for instance her current flame, Shay. Mini has yet to profess that she will die for Shay. Oh but soon she will. And she will mean it. And that's when she will be at the mercy of her girlfriend.

- Heroic - for all the upsides of being daring, single-minded, zoned in and a taker of big risks there are just as many equal downsides. When you take that all or nothing shot, and you get nothing... oh man, when you get nothing...? That failure is so complete, so resounding and, for someone with self worth issues? That failure is abso-freakin'-lutely just crippling.

- Tempest Gift Anxiety - For all the hopes her mother had for her daughter, this was the one thing that dashed all those hopes into oblivion. This powerful Gift was the reason she gave her daughter away. Yes, Mini is a very powerful Wind Font user, and yes, she is a very powerful Tempest Gift user too. But the difference is that she cannot control the force of her Tempest Gift. It is wild, it is raw, it is the devil to her. Over the years she has only learned how to repress it, not foster it. Wild, raw and a devil; and if she loses her temper...? Minaerva Black from the 81st Street Mission is a bomb waiting to explode.

Equipment:

That big cell phone - It is comically big compared to her, but unfortunately, it has more than enough energy to keep up with her and so she is constantly on it. It is the latest and greatest, and, very expensive, but worth every penny to her. And for whatever her needs...? There is an app for that. She will find it.

Those headphones - Like her phone they are comically big, but she does have big ears so size is necessary. And like her phone, the battery life in them is absolutely insane. They too are very expensive and she has had them modded too. They act as a portable lightshow, loudspeakers, eavesdropping gadget, megaphone, handsfree calling and make-up mirror, selfie/camera button, charging bay, sunglasses storage, spotlight capable, 360 cam, women's 'personal items' holder, magnet, and overall customizable fashion accessory. It's like a handbag for her. But clinging onto her ears.

This necklace - It is not the items she adorns it with that matter. Wellllll actually yes it does, because she does consider her accessories to match or accent her attire, but! It is the actual chain that she wears that is most important. It is the last remnant of her mother she has to remember her by. It was forged by her ancestors from a time much, much different than the life she lives today. Even though it is from ancient times, it has but only one link that is tarninshed, worn and shows age. The rest are as shiny and new as the day it was made, polished and sealed. It is a chain forged from nigh-unbreakable magical Dwarven alloys; and the only flaw is a reminder to the user. 'You are only as strong as the weakest link you bear.'
Backstory
Backstory:

It's simple really.

She was raised by a single mom. Her mommy was a former theatrical stage actor from Canada. Mommy had so many hopes and aspirations for her daughter. And she knew her little Minaerva had much talent and potential too. Such promise of a big career even if she did not use her Font. Oh but mommy realized her little Minaerva was very strong in magics! But that was until her little Mini turned 8. That was the day her little girl turned into a huge monster. The electrical blast destroyed pretty much their whole house. And mommy had to go to the hospital. She was hurt. Really bad.

And she never forgave her little girl because whe mommy came to, she signed the papers to give away her little girl to the Institute. And from there she slipped back into a coma and that was the last Mini ever saw of mommy.

And in that institue was where Minaerva Black grew up. As a teen, she was fettered back and forth into foster care and an orphanage, but never taken on as a full time child to a full time family. And as always, she came back to the Institute. But all the while she grew into a great little person despite the pain and lingering ghosts of her past that haunted her. Mini's mettle was strong and so she fought off such negativity and kept it at bay. And into a great performer did she blossom.

Her counsellor and mentor from the Institute retired and became a full time volunteer to help run the 81st street Mission. And when of age, Mini followed her there and took up residence in exchange for her volunteer time too.

It has been nearly a year since she moved in and she is now at a crossroads in her young life. She has loved her time here helping out the at-risk youth and building bonds and friendships but... the calling to become a great performer coursed through her blood. And to be great she needed to find a great stage. Yet that would mean she would have to leave the Mission behind; this was the place of her family now.

But then two things just so happened when she turned 19.

One was the email from someone named Mr. Moriden. And the other was the parcel in the mail.

The email asked of her services to combat crime. The parcel contained the chain necklace that mommy always wore around her neck coupled with a note penned with her mother's all too familiar chicken scratch writing:


'Wear this like you mean it. And always mean it when you wear it. So then, my little Beastie, what does it mean? And even more importantly...

...what does it mean to you?

It was all too clear the path she should take right then and there. She was Minaerva Black and but she would introduce herself as Minaerva Black from the 81st Street Mission. Because represent, that's why. They would be proud of her. All of them. It was time for her to move on and perform on the World Stage. It was her time to shine; it was time for her to be a hero.

Oh, and she still has no idea what the chain means, but she does know what it means to her; it means the most important person in the world still loves her. That's all she ever wanted, she realized. And so all she ever wanted and needed was right there hugging her right around her neck.

Charlotte personality has been jaded over the course of her life. Often at times, she is never courteous to people. She knows the normal greetings and salutations but would rather just stare or not say anything as if she's waiting to be shat on in the verbal sense. She's also quite bigoted to non-humans, anything that doesn't look like a human being, pointed ears, green skin, sharp teeth or whatever those things don't deserve to breathe the same air as her. Not only that, she is often moody almost never showing smiles in public.
Just as there is two side to a coin, Charlotte has good qualities as well. She's fiercely loyal and honest to people she believes in. Often sympathetic to those knocking on death's door whether human or not, a small break in her bigotry.


Strength and Weaknesses
Life binder: Able to heal even the most mortal of wound What would seem like death is the
only logical conclusion she can make miracles happen.
Deep Pool: She was naturally born with a large repository of mana, able to expend more
magic and power before getting exhausted. However, it takes longer for her to 'Recharge' as well.
Necromancer: She has an unnatural penchant for unlife, able to fully control bodies of
the dead without much exhaustion. She may even tap into the memories of the recently deceased.

Stunted Growth: Awakening at a young age caused an outburst which stunted her growth
being stuck perpetually stuck in the body of a twelve-year-old.
Mana Vacuum: Being able to drain mana and life energy around her uncontrollably when using magic.
Energy drained from others are dependent on their own control of their magical energy.
Drawn to undeath and their wishes: Experiencing the emotions and memories of the dead have more than
once swayed her. She feels those emotions as it was hers whether it be sadness, anger or joy. She feels a need to correct those that were unjustly killed using her own form of justice independent of the law. As well a sort of addiction to reviving the dead and commanding them.


Equipment
Bracelet – A cute pink bracelet that fits Charlotte's wrist well. It is custom tailored for her. It works like a tracker as well as a Geas that forces her to obey a direct command.

Standard issue Taser – Shaped like a pistol and works like one as well. Shoots out a non-lethal amount of electroshock meant for disabling with settings from humans to other races to compensate their different biology. Can be fired 3 times before needing a new battery.


BackStory
Born into the main family of prominent water mages, it would seem like she has a bright future among society. However, due to her awakening to a font unexpectedly she has caused major problems to her family status and honour. Charlotte was sent away to a branch family instead forever renounced of her right and to live out a life far away so that she can no longer tarnish their grand family name. The family she was sent to was afraid of her, showing only a modicum of kindness only out of fear. It wasn't too bad, she was often left to her own devices and school of course. Even if she was an outcast of the family, it was expected of her to still do well in school but only to show that even an outcast of their grand family is still better than most of the common breed.

Her only friends were those in the forest, small animals who would never be mad at her or expected anything except some foodstuff or sorts. It was in that forest of solace that she practiced her font, the font of life. Healing small animals from wolf' bites and controlling the bodies of small dead critters to protect her friends from them. It wasn't too hard to control the dead wolves but she needed better protectors. Human bodies. She needed those that were fresh and not already decomposing. She knew that it was an offense to revive the dead but she felt like she needed to do it. The first time was the hardest, her hand was sticky with sweat and her heart was pounding so fast it felt like it would burst. Upon touching her first body, a body of a woman with a cute bob cut, attractive probably popular. Cause of death was suicide. A wave of residual memory entered her. That woman was called Judy, a proud office lady who was well loved by her peers except for a few. Jealousy controlled those few and they pushed Judy off the edge literally. Somehow, they weren't caught. They needed to be punished. A string of murders happened after that and she was caught to be the perpetrator. She called it Justice for those who had passed, the law called it murder. She was locked up for life with no chance of parole.


Charlotte years in prison, developing some relationships with her bunkmate who was part of a gang in prison who hated non-humans. Human-supremacists, she was slowly influenced to believe that way as well. Her stay in prison was as comfortable as they could get. She had people that backed her up, a place to really call home even locked behind bars in chains. However, the leader of the supremacists group found a way to disable the anti-magic shackles that they wore and all hell broke loose. A prison war. It was chaos, bolts of magic flying left and right with a cacophony of screams and shouting to go along with the ensemble. It was there where she proved her worth healing gravely wounded human inmates and a few guards that were nice to her. Those that were dead were used as meat shields to soften the barrage of magic bolts. Eventually, the rebellion died and the security forces regain control of the situation. She was taken to questioning after that.

The room was a small grey box. It was brightly lit, fitted with a single grey foldable chair, and a two-way mirror. Sitting in that chair was Charlotte's small frame barely fitting on the chair as it was used for inmates larger than her. She was shifting uncomfortably her hands were grabbing the edges of the chair trying but failing to wipe the blood that was on her hands. Her eyes were darting around the room trying to look at anything that isn't the two officers in dark trench coats. The officers were towering in front of her and one stood there unmoving as the other was nonchalantly repeating her past history and the type of crime that she committed over her life to her. Finally, the officer throws the papers that he was reading from to the ground. Like it wasn't even important.

Charlotte stared at the pieces of fallen paper, then decided to turn to look at the officer. His face was rough unfeeling and she knew she wasn't dealing with the typical type of security force. He walked closer to her until his shadow fully consumed her small frame. "That's quite a list of atrocities you committed, attacking police officers, resisting arrest, grand theft auto, the revival of the dead, first degree murders. It just doesn't end with you." He pauses for a moment waiting for a reaction but all Charlotte could do was try not to faint from the intense gravity that he was emitting. Tears were forming from the edges of her eyes. "To place on top of all those charges you also incited an inmate rebellion that caused the death of several inmates, support staff, and officers." He knelt down to her level and forcibly cups her face with his hands. Charlotte winces in pain before gazing back at the officer's cold calculating eyes. Charlotte wanted to scream that she only followed orders she didn't start anything but the fear had froze shut her lips and all she do was shiver. "Death is too good for things like you." He releases his hands and stood up before readjusting his gloves. Charlotte stared at her feet, a couple of tears slowly slid down her cheeks. "Lucky for you, someone decided that there is hope in you yet. You'll be sent for rehabilitation starting immediately. This isn't a pardon. " His partner opens the door for him "You'll take your prison with you." With those parting words, he leaves with his partner as charlotte collapses on the ground sobbing uncontrollably from fear? hope? or perhaps just she just feels relieved.

Personality:

For the most part, Raiyen portrays himself as a charming and endearing character towards most people which gives them the impression that he is a friendly and well-mannered fellow. He is very polite to almost everyone he meets and can often be seen smiling and laughing. To certain extent he could even seem ditzy and goofy at times due to his tendencies to tell jokes at the most random moments.

Much of his personality that he shows to people however is but a mask. He only does things that would benefit him in some way, shape or form. Whether it be helping a comrade to win their loyalty or performing a good deed to appear favourable in the eyes of the public, every action he takes is for his selfish reasons.

In battle, he is prone to make one-liners to either taunt his enemies or impress and inspire his allies. It is not rare to see him defend an ally, however he only does so when he sees a possible benefit in saving them.

His greatest fear is that, he will grow too attached to someone to the point where he will sacrifice his well-being for them.
Strengths:



"If your enemy is equal, prepare for him. If greater, elude him. If weaker, crush him."

Excellent tactician and strategist - Has the ability to execute complex attack and tactical manoeuvres by coordinating with his summoned henchman.

"Great is the weapon that cuts on its own."

Expert enchantment and rune embedding - Can turn just about anything into a weapon or a tool through creative use of runes. He is particularly fond of explosive runes.


"Eventually, my blades will find their way into your heart."

Expert swordsman- Spending time studying under a master swordsman has given him excellent mastery over the way of the sword. Additionally his mastery over whip swords makes his attacks unorthodox and hard to counter against.

Weaknesses:

"Please don't get in my way."

Does not work well with people: He prefers to work with his summoned henchman rather than other people since they already accustomed to his fighting style and tactics and thus do not need to communicate with him too much.


"Die with fear in your heart, or win with blood on your hands."

Sudden surges of bloodlust: More often than not, he will enter a state of euphoria during battle due to him being "in the zone" which causes him to disregard the safety of himself as well as any bystanders.

"I don't care about the rest of the world. This is my will!"

Unempathetic towards most people: Due to his twisted upbringing he is doesn't really care much about what happens to other people unless he is affected by their well-being. He almost only does things that will benefit him directly or indirectly. At least, that's we he wants to believe.


Font: Enchantment: By placing runes on people or objects you apply certain effects to them, from strength to heaviness to aura of lightning. The more complicated and/or powerful the rune the longer it takes to apply. Runes must be applied with touch and can also be set with triggers for activation.

Gift:
Summoner: You can call forth and enforce you will upon magical beings. The weaker the creature the less strain it is to keep it around. Strong monsters should only be summoned for a short while, too long and your heart will give in.

In their normal form, they look like katanas. As their name implies, they are able to be in their whip configuration which gives an increase in range as well as versatility in attacks. He often prepares enchantments and runes for his swords before fighting to give him an extra edge in battle.

Crow Helmet

A central part of his crow costume that gives him an intimidating visage. He uses it to hide not just his face but also his thoughts through various enchantments to protect himself from psychics. Due to a bad previous experience with a psychic user, Raiyen always prepares necessary precautions in an event that he would face one of these types in battle. Also, he doesn't like people reading his mind. Aside from that, it also has a build in cell-phone.

Ball Pouch

A pouch that contains a large amount of small balls. He enchants them with various effects to be used in battle.

Crow Suit

The rest of is crow attire is often enchanted pre-battle based on what type of opponents he may face. His favourite enchantment is swiftness which allows him to move around the battlefield with incredible speed.


Backstory:

Raiyen never really knew who his real parents were since he was abandoned at a young age by his parents and lived in an orphanage. At the age his powers manifested itself as visible imaginary friends which made him quite popular with the other kids his age. He soon learned he is also able to cast enchantments on live and inanimate objects which he uses to constantly pull pranks on the other kids.

At the age of 10 he was finally adopted by a rich family. Unfortunately said adoption was not done out of kindness but for a publicity stunt that was done to improve their family name. The family would often avoid direct contact with him and would instead leave their servants to take care of him.

For a majority of childhood he worked hard to win the approval of his adoptive parents through achievements such as good grades in school and winning kendo tournaments. Slowly but surely, he finally accepted the fact that his adoptive parents would never give him the parental love that he had yearned for.

As much as he loved kendo, he felt that it had too many restrictions. He started finding other ways to occupy his time and eventually joined an underground tournament where the gifted pitted against each other under the guise of "Crow". This was where he managed to hone most of his combat skills.

He fought all sorts of people in these tournaments. Younger or older, veterans or newbies, it didn't matter to him. He was often encouraged by the ring master to do whatever it takes to win. He found it difficult at first, but he eventually he stopped thinking about what happens to the others.

In time he recognized that it rather risky for him to continue participating in these illegal fights. He decided to join the special forces where not only was he allowed to fight legally but also more importantly becoming a figure that people respect and adore. His first bust was the illegal fighting ring that he was involved in.
Faelon

Appearance:
About 5'11 in height and around 150 lb in general. Faelon has very longish ears and whitish hair that goes down to his lower back/chest. his eyes are green and his nose is rather longer than most people.. Faelon is a very slim body and has smooth skin. He has a scar on the back that he normally doesn't show to people. He is right handed and have bigger hands than the normal male.

For clothing, in his casual attire, he tends to wear very flashy robes as it has been something he has wore throughout most of his life. Of course this does trigger quite a bit of people, so he tends to be careful with what he wears outside of his manor. Also during missions, he has a personal armor built by some of the blacksmiths around town. While sturdy, it isn't heavy enough to block huge amounts of damage, but enough to allow him to move around swiftly while protecting him from some damage. He also wears earrings and necklaces with his casual outfit and has his own tailor to help fix up his clothes and a barber to tidy up his hair when it needs it.

Personality:
Faelon is a rather prestigious guy around his race, being respected and admired by his people living with him in his manor. He would show respect to all kinds of people, even to those who berate him and his family. He sees people as equal, disregarding their races and seems them as regular people. He would help out those who requires his aid and give them what they need. He may be a bit spoiled, but he does try his best to help others before himself.

He is very positive and would be able to help brighten others day. He has no problems talking to his race, but to others, he's kinda awkward with talking to them. Sure he knows his basic manners, but when you have other races be nothing more than jerks to you most of the time in the past, its hard to have a good conversation with someone when they have the chance to go off the deep end. He is a listener and wouldn't mind hearing other's stories and being their for them at their weakest. And while Raelon is a pacifistic, he would only fight if was truly necessary and a battle that would be winnable.

During combat, Raelon is calm and focused, not allowing his emotions to get the best of him. even firing a few shots to get a reading of the enemy's statistics before coming up with a plan. Of course, being a bit fragile than the average fighter, Raelon tries to keep his distance as far from the enemy as possible while firing shots to distract them while coming up with a plan.

Raelon rarely gets mad and he is too trustworthy it's so easy for someone to get close to him and backstab him at the right time. But at times that he does lose control and gets angry, he becomes more of a berserker, losing focus of his tactics and attempting to injure, or even kill whoever angered him in battle. And then there's his enhanced fonts power that can be a double edged sword. It's pretty easy to throw Raelon off his feet and take him down with little problems.

His goal is to seek to end the bigotry between the races and see them live as a peaceful nation. He enjoys sightseeing and playing the violin. His greatest fear is to see the nation become fully corrupted to evil and seeing no way to put an end to this bigotry between races, and living in fear that his race would be eliminated at any time.

Strengths:

Bow Mastery:
After many years training to use a bow from his trainers. Faelon knows how to use a bow efficiently and can hit a target most of the time, even he has full control of his bow and can move around while aiming at his target without a loss of accuracy. Some say this is one of his talents he inherited from his father.

Keen Eye:
Thanks to his strong eyesight, Faelon can notice even the smallest details on anything, people, objects, ect. Some say he learned this while he was looking at pictures and the stuff around his house. Thanks to his mastery in bows, these two would work together in allowing him to aim for a particular spot in battle.

Destructive Fonts:
Faelon can increase the powers of his fonts beyond their normal capabilities, such as turning the flame blue or his ice black, dealing much more damage and potential killing whatever they strike. Of course this also comes with a price...

Weaknesses:

Uncontrollable Fonts
Even though he has two fonts with destructive powers. Faelon hasn't fully mastered his fonts power and sometimes when using it more than he can use, might cause his current font to randomly switch to the other font, losing its power altogether, or worse, cause him to spontaneously burst into flame or freeze half of his body.

Socially Awkward:
While Faelon has no problems talking to his elvish brethren from within the manor, when it comes to talking to the other races in general, expect him to be a tad bit...socially awkward. Especially when they become racist to him or even embarrassed when being teased on.

Lack of Modern Technology Information:
Since the elves in his manor do not have any interest in the modern technology. Faelon never got to learn much about the modern technology, and when he goes out and seeing people with these weirdly designed devices or seeing all these different devices around the city, he feels a bit conflicted about their purpose and may even bother a few people for his lack of information.

Faelon's Pendent

Backstory:
Born from a very wealthy family. Raelon is born from his mother, Miriel and his father, Rinion. His father owns one of the most wealthy places in Grand Doma. Of course, just because they live in a very wealthy mansion, doesn't mean there's a lot of haters going around trying to run his father's name and his estate down to the mud. His father tries very hard to please the people around him, and the people fight back, hoping to see him and his family dead.

They've lived a trouble life due to the citizens of the city showing never ending bigotry to the elves they despise and because of it, they stayed in their manor in fear of these people. Thanks to one of the laws instated by the government later on, they were able to end this battle between them and the people continued on with their daily lives, but they still show no respect to the elves when they see them.

Raelon lived a sheltered life in his estate, being taught by hired tutors from his family and trainers to help him train with a weapon for self defense. He never had any friends around his age growing up and only knew his family, his tutors, and others residents of the manor. Raelon was never allowed to go outside due to the dangers that lurk outside, not just from the criminals and why not, but from those who would want to do anything to hurt Rinion in some way possible.

One day while outside, he learns out about his new font powers while outside. while swimming in the lake, he started to make the lake freeze up until it was frozen with his ice font. Then, while stuck inside the frozen lake, Raelon manages to unfreeze it with his fire font, of course, this made Raelon faint once he got out of the lake due to the amount of energy used to do both fonts within a short amount of time in regular temperatures. His parents were scared, but stuck with him as he trained to control both his new fonts.

One night, after they returned home from a play, there was an ambush within the manor planned by a bunch of cunning assassins, waiting to take the life of the people from within the estate. This encounter caused Raelon to be severely injured and almost caused his father to die. Rinion was bedstrucken for a few months after the event, but managed to recover from it. Faelon recovered quickly and continued to train with a strengthened resolve, hoping one day to become as strong as his dad to protect him when something like this happens again.

After turning 22, Raelon wanted to help bring peace between his race living in the manor and those who despise them. His parents didn't like the idea at first, but knowing that he might stand a better chance than his father, and knowing that they can't be overprotecting him everyday, they gave him the motivation and support to go out and try to do his best in his goals to make the city a better place for all races. He shortly joined a team with other people in order to complete his goal.

Personality: Jero is the sort to deflect personal questions or attacks to himself. If something is not serious enough for him to stop and think about it, then it is a worthless topic. Only riddles and the journey for self-discovery make him pause to think. Granted, repeated assaults or insults, attempts to discredit factual evidence, or racism cause him to erupt into a fiery nova of rapid rebuttals fueled by anger. There is a calmness to his being that is reflected in his eyes. He searches for similarities in others. Always looking for new kinship after abandoning his old life. And once Jero has put his efforts into a project... all be damned who block his path.

Strengths: Expert Magician - Jero has studied the science behind font applications, gifts, and their scientific compatibility for years. Spending some time analyzing a problem related to these topics is enough for Jero to, at the very least, understand the vague issues or problems presented to him.

Djiin Agility - Through training and aid from his heritage, Jero is incredibly agile and dexterous. His body is slightly lighter than one would assume and less prone to pain from stretching or bending. This allows him to dance around in hand-to-hand combat, light on his feet!

Son of Fire and Smoke - Being born with a dual affinity isn't simply a coincidence. Being the son of a Djinn, Jero's skills with his fonts go beyond a human's limits. The added years of training his skills have caused Jero to manipulate and control Fire and Wind in ways others cannot even dream of using. Both the strength and finesse of his fonts reach great heights.

Weaknesses: Outcast - While the Djinn are thought to be a rare breed, Gensie (half-djinn) are even rarer. Jero's closest connections have long been severed. And few people who are aware of the infamous trickster nature of djinns can trust Jero, while others think of him as an outcast among society. It does not help that his body will produce smoke every few minutes in place of sweat, polluting the air.

Fragile Body - Although Jero is an incredibly smart individual, his physical capabilities are lacking in all areas. Aside from bursts of agility. He has weak bones and will bruise easily. Additionally, the weaknesses of his Djinn heritage can cause even more trouble. Coming in contact, wearing or being enclosed in iron will cause his magical energies to completely be drained and cause fatigue. When the same conditions are met with silver, Jero falls unconscious for several hours.

Dependence - Gensie are miracle children from a phenomenon in their parents' union. Being the children of fire and smoke beings, Gensie are prone to smoking and becoming dependant on tobacco and other such substances. Jero is not an exception. He can only having a clear and calm personality and mind when allowed to smoke. He becomes irritated and even angry when not allowed to smoke for several hours on end.

Backstory: Jero was born outside the City of Grand Doma, in an unconvential family setting. His mother, a human with strong magical aptitude, was raised in a cult seeking to evolve humanity. Make humanity take a huge leap forward into the realm of demi-gods. For this purpose, she mated and produced several demi-human offspring. Jero being just one of them.

Growing up in this cult, Jero was willing to learn and believe that humanity was but a rung in the ladder of their ultimate fate. He learned much about fonts, gifts, and the magic that caused them. Along with that, he developed an aptitude for the sciences and acrobatics; his Gift and abilities only increasing his range of skills. When Jero began to study philosophies of past minds though, things began to change.

His belief that humanity was just a stepping stone for their evolution changed. Even among other races and people, humans were not lacking in anything but flare. During the same period, Jero's mother died due to complications in childbirth. With his estranged siblings slowly spreading with new radical cells, the young man left behind his past life by faking his death. In the process, incinerating another young man to play his double.

Ever since then the Gensie has been working as a magitech consultant for military and police units in Grand Doma. As well as a demolitions expert utilizing his font. All under the cover of a new surname and a well-earned science degree from the nearby university. Only a few close friends, along with several authorities are aware of his true background.

Strengths:
Avatar of Death- Born of death, Katalina has a stronger connection to the darker aspects of her gift than many would think. While able to breath life into living individuals it is those that had past that she specializes in.

I am my finest masterpiece!- An artist of the highest degree Katalina is still an artist even in death. But, instead of painting on a canvas she views herself as a masterpiece in all aspects. Able to transmute her body she can change her arms into weapons or shift her body to fit situations which warrant a change.

Changer of Ways- Using her transmutation she is able to shift the bodies of those she touches. Mutating their cells and shifting their bodies to the forms she feels are necessary. This includes animals which depending on the size are harder or more easily changed than humans.

Valkyrie- It is with a heavy heart that Katalina carriers out the duties she believes she was raised for. Not having anyone with her when she was murdered Katalina will sit with those too far gone to save. In the end releasing their life and ending their suffering.


Weaknesses:
Undead- With the currents laws governing Katalina is herself viewed as an abomination. Being raised from death herself her attachment to life and death granted her sentience out of slavery.

Weakness to Fire- While still alive, she is also technically dead. While nearly immune to the effects of cold, it is opposite with fire. Vulnerable to fire she is petrified of it.

Can I eat that?- Unable to sate her hunger no matter what she eats she is forever tormented with an unending hunger. Often times found eating odd and new items in an attempt to sate the near feral hunger she is cursed with. Some may call her a zombie, but she hasn't eaten a brain... yet.

Memories- Katalina barely remembers any part of her past life. Only bits and pieces seem to find cohesion in her mind. Like a puzzle with several pieces miss Katalina is mentally fragmented. While remaining she seems incapable of arranging the pieces to form a picture of who she once was.

Backstory:
Katalina, at least that is what she believes her name is at this point was not born, but created out of death. Pieces of her memory are fragmented only giving her a window into what occured. The memories of such are far and few between. But, through contemplation she has begun to understand what had occurred to her.

An artist, Katalina was a very interesting character before her death. Painting pictures and creating art from anything she could find she was in all sense of the word, Jovial. But, it was this attitude of life that in the end proved to be her downfall. Having gotten into a relationship with some individuals of the shadier sort it was her curiosity that killed her.

Having overheard a meeting between businesses and organized crime connections she was targeted after being found out. When death came, it came at the hands of the one she thought she could trust. Being brutally beaten and nearly killed she was left abandoned and alone in the cold. Unable to move she eventually began to pass.

It was in this twilight between life and death that something horrific was born out of something that was once beautiful. Life leaving her she passed but in her passing she returned to the realm of the living. The time that passed was unknown. What she is certain of is that she was brought back by an unknown individual.

Expecting Katalina is be subservient the individual was horrifically shocked when Katalina returned not as a zombie but as a Lich. The gifted woman shattered the mental tethers the individuals tried binding her with. Time passing Katalina became aware of the need for individuals such as herself. While apprehensive she realized that despite it all, she had never asked to be the way she was. She was murdered, a crime that she could never forgive. While unable to remember those that caused it, she still felt the need for retribution. When the call came out she responded. She was an abomination, but she had a conscious... no one should have to suffer as she did.

- Whatever you feel expresses your character best.
- It deals with matters like violence and serious crime, but I wouldn't expect the characters to constantly bogged down by this. Even the military joke around when their not on duty.
- The crime surge was sudden, and gifted are in short supply. You were given a option wether or not to join, and your characters are far too rare to be sent on suiside missions. At best one of you were a police officer beforehand, but all of you were hurriedly given a month and a half of combat training before the RP begins. Also, the missions you'll be sent on will scale in risk based on your experience.
- Racial tensions still exist, but they're frowned upon by the majority of society.

He's not exactly lazy - he'll do a job if it's assigned to him, and he'll do it to the best of his abilities - But he doesn't exactly go out of his way to do work. He tries to be nice, though, whenever he can, mostly to make up for his crude nature when he was younger. He has a rather dry sense of humor, tending to be a bit snarky. He tends to,make insensitive remarks sometimes, as he assumes people are just as thick-skinned as he is. Tends to brood or similar if left alone, but is actually very friendly to people. A good people person, or at least he tries to be. Due to his abuse as a child, he gets very flinchy at sudden movements and when people pretend to or do it him. Sometimes forgets to say things out loud instead of just thinking them. Drinks an ungodly amount of sugar water for whatever reason.

• Amphibious - He can breathe water and air, allowing for easy access to aquatic areas. Not that that would come up very often.

She often accessorizes in a very goth/punk-rock style with leather wristbands, chokers, earrings featuring pentacles, crosses, skulls etc. Leather and denim jackets are a common sight along with torn jeans, dark coloured skirts, plaid shirts and tank-tops. Personality: Rose is a fiery one always charging head first against her problems and taking shit from no one. Rose was always what you would call a problem child and a straight up firestarter. She was one step away from juvie when she was a teen and showed no concern for it. She had everything really, a nice and calm household, more than enough entertainment from all sorts of mediums but she just threw it all away and went out looking for trouble. It's impossible to figure out why or when she decided she wanted to be this naughty kid but as soon as she started it was impossible to reign her in. Their parents locked her room, she just went out the window. They barred the windows she broke the lock on the door with her chair and feet. It only got harder to rein her in when her Spacial magic awakened and she could just teleport outside the house. Her parents were sweet and kind people who had nothing but pleasant words for their only daughter and couldn't bring themselves to discipline her properly. Not even the threat of being sent to juvie got to her.

She had her own little teen gang that got up to the usual teenage crime such as smashing up mailboxes, setting fire to trashcans and occasionally breaking and entering or drinking. The world was hers at the time, no rules or adults to tell her what to do, just she and her friends messing about and having fun. Of course it all had to end, after a run-in with an actual gang all of her friends chickened out and the group was disbanded right there on the spot. Left alone she was no fool to get her self hurt, killed or worse. Instead relying on her teleportation as a safety net she ran away safely. With no posse to speak off she seemed to have calmed down completely, most assumed the encounter had gotten to her as well but in reality she found some of the gangsters one by one and took them on with a surprise attack often resulting in broken noses and injuries as a result of her gift. Someone saw fit to investigate who the vigilante was, perhaps even bring them to justice but when they found her they decided to bring her in, humble her a bit and apply her for the new squad, which she more than happily accepted seeing it as a free pass to go nuts on some mean folks.

I was thinking Rose would be more like a shocktrooper. You send her in first to wreak havoc and create chaos or make an opening in defenses and then pull her out and let more tactical combatants take charge while she remains in the back recovering and providing support where needed.

Tactics will be left up to you guys. I suggest discussing them on this OCC when they come up if you feel that doing it over post would take too much time.
 
Yeap that's why I'm presenting this possibility right now. Given her combination of abilities and personality I figure that is the sort of role she would play in this group. At least on missions that is.

'Mini' - Minaerva Black from The 81st Street Mission

Appearance:

One of the derrogatory nicknames she had growing up was "Mixi" instead of Mini, and, even her mommy called her 'Beastie.' But she did not mind it. Really. For the girl truly is proud of her mixed heritage. Minaerva has the fine facial features of an Elf yet with the green skin colour, large triangular ears and pointy tusks of an Orc, and has sparkling emerald gem eyes and thick black hair of a Dwarf. Normally she keeps her hair long so as to be styled when needed for a performance, but usually it is tied back or pigtailed or even tucked away under a hat.

She is short and sleight, standing in at 4'11" (and a half) and weighing in at 105lbs. And again the features of her lineage are apparent. Height, or lack thereof, is definitely from her Dwarven lineage, but she has the round bottom and great centre of gravity of her ancestors. She may not have the toughness nor thick skin from her Orc lineage, however, she does have the powerful legs and endurance of those ancestors. And not as graceful nor grand as an Elf, she still maintains good posture and agility from those ancestors. What she truly does lack is the sheer muscle power and pure physicality of her combined ancestry. She is not scrawny though, for she is constantly active and a natural, yet non-practicing parkour artist; the girl is constantly climbing, swinging and leaping off things.

The orphan does have her tongue, belly, nipples and ears pierced, and yes, she has several tattoos, but she dresses rather plain for the most part and is usually found wearing her workout gear of tights/yoga pants and athletic tops or when it's nice out; shorts and cut-off tees. Then there are the days when she wants to dress all 'street' too and dons a cap or toque and wears the gangsta-girlie baggie clothes. She thinks she looks tough, but its laughable really, yet still quite adoreable. Footwear and accessories are usually nice colour compliments or accents she really is concious of-- even to the point of changing up her case and homescreens on her adored cellphone. Even her headphones are customizable too.

She never wears skirts nor dresses unless costume or wardrobe demands it. Right now, she wears very lovingly crafted ones while performing at the inhuman burlesque shows. And she does not mind wearing skimpy or tight clothes while performing or while in public. Any if she gets any of 'those looks,' she just rolls her eyes, or just laughs them off.

Oh, and don't even try to take that necklace off her lest you want to have all 105 pounds of Mini go all Beast-Mode on your ass!!!
Personality:

Mini really is a sweetheart, with much polites and much niceness, despite the bigotry and ignorance some will openly have against her. She is always willing to help out and volunteer her time for others. The girl rarely expects anything in return save for a 'thank you, Mini,' in kind. She has a sharp sense of humour and loves to laugh. Oh but those smiles... She normally has one plastered on her face but enjoys smiles on other peoples faces even more. Mini loves all kinds of positive reactions and has a knack of shrugging off negativity; she is a performer afterall.

She is also diligent in her workout routines and dance/theatre practices. She loves her job as a dancer/acrobat/actor and takes it very seriously. Right now she is with a burlesque troupe where she met her current girlfriend Shay, a half human/elf. But this is where she has major issues.

Friends she can keep and has lots of them, but lovers...? She seems to smother them and chase them away. She has anxiety issues with intimate relationships and her fear of getting dumped usually gets her to act up all flaky and ends up getting dumped for being all flaky. And so she looks for love again, only to do it all over again.

...but then there's that mouth. They call her Talkie for good reason. And Motor for good reason too. If her mouth isn't moving then some other part of her body most definitely is. Fidget would be another good nickname for her too. Or Tappity. Or Dancy. Or Get-off-your-phone-already. Or better yet, Fiddles-with-things-even-when-told-not-to-fiddle-with-those-things. Her friends could be nicknamed The Facepalmed. Yet even though they facepalm in reaction to their diminutive friend, Mini is usually just laughing on or still carrying on the conversation all by herself, oblivious to the Facepalm. She's not insulting nor insensitive, but she can be rather obnoxious with her motor mouth constantly running.

And then there's those times whe she loses her temper; there is only so much negativity she may shrug off without harbouring such ill feelings afterall. Rare are those times when she does lose it, but when she does, one's jaw would drop with the sheer rage that little thing is capable of. But that shock may turn to fear if she loses it and she happens to use her powers at the same time. The power of a storm named Minaerva at ground zero is quite the awe filled and awful sight to behold.
Strengths:

+ Positivity - It is so hard to bring her down, it really is. High energy, infectious smiles and bubbly giggles, adorkable, polite and kind. Mini really is a good pal to have around and if she is your friend, she will try to keep you happy too.

+ Acrobatic - even if she did not workout at the gym nor practice at the local college gymnastics facility, she would still be limber and in shape. She is naturally active and quite agile. Not exceptionally strong, but strong enough to lift her little frame and bounce, flip and roll around like a small yet hyper green ball. She is quite daring and can climb like a squirrel too.

+ Heroic - Why not. Even though she is tiny, she will go out of her way to do daring deeds and take big risks for huge rewards. Whether it be the performer in her craving applause, awe and accolade, or whether it be because she is small and feels the need to prove herself to the world, or whether it be because she really believes she is a superhero, it matters not in the end. This little Beastie lives up to her name; when she goes Beast Mode, she zones in and becomes single minded in completing the task!

+ Wind Font Expertise - The main reason her mother had high hopes for her was because she was gifted in using this very Font. The excess energy-- hyperactivity some may say-- she had while growing up was channelled into creativity which blossomed into the performer she is today. This channelling also included taming the power she had inside. And people still wonder how she can leap so effortlessly and climb like a squirrel so easily; she's actually just flying.

Weaknesses:

- That Mouth/That Fidgeting - Here we go... How can such a sweet little thing keep on talking and talking and talking and talking and talking without taking even a single breath...?! And exactly what was she talking about again? And man, can she not stop moving too? Stop tapping! Yes, you're popular, now get off your phone! Don't touch that! Mini! I said don't touch th-- AAGH!!! SEE?! I told you not to touch that!! Stop dancing! People are staring! Ugh! ~Facepalms~ She's talking again... Motor, please! Can you stop that tapping! - Dailiy experience by friends while hanging out with Minaerva...

- Self-Worth Issues - Yes, she has lots and lots of friends, and she is, in fact, quite poplular with many of them. But what most do not realize is how little she thinks of herself. Not only because she is a small person in a big world but because she fears letting people down; she fears failing those she cares about. Sometimes she does end up being too clingy, too over-bearing especially with the ones she falls in love with. This leads her to being manipulated by those same ones she tries to please. Take for instance her current flame, Shay. Mini has yet to profess that she will die for Shay. Oh but soon she will. And she will mean it. And that's when she will be at the mercy of her girlfriend.

- Heroic - for all the upsides of being daring, single-minded, zoned in and a taker of big risks there are just as many equal downsides. When you take that all or nothing shot, and you get nothing... oh man, when you get nothing...? That failure is so complete, so resounding and, for someone with self worth issues? That failure is abso-freakin'-lutely just crippling.

- Tempest Gift Anxiety -
For all the hopes her mother had for her daughter, this was the one thing that dashed all those hopes into oblivion. This powerful Gift was the reason she gave her daughter away. Yes, Mini is a very powerful Wind Font user, and yes, she is a very powerful Tempest Gift user too. But the difference is that she cannot control the force of her Tempest Gift. It is wild, it is raw, it is the devil to her. Over the years she has only learned how to repress it, not foster it. Wild, raw and a devil; and if she loses her temper...? Those headphones - Like her phone they are comically big, but she does have big ears so size is necessary. And like her phone, the battery life in them is absolutely insane. They too are very expensive and she has had them modded too. They act as a portable lightshow, loudspeakers, eavesdropping gadget, megaphone, handsfree calling and make-up mirror, selfie/camera button, charging bay, sunglasses storage, spotlight capable, 360 cam, women's 'personal items' holder, magnet, and overall customizable fashion accessory. This necklace - It is not the items she adorns it with that matter. Wellllll actually yes it does, because she does consider her accessories to match or accent her attire, but! It is the actual chain that she wears that is most important. It is the last remnant of her mother she has to remember her by. It was forged by her ancestors from a time much, much different than the life she lives today. Even though it is from ancient times, it has but only one link that is tarninshed, worn and shows age. The rest are as shiny and new as the day it was made, polished and sealed. It is a chain forged from nigh-unbreakable magical Dwarven alloys; and the only flaw is a reminder to the user. 'You are only as strong as the weakest link you bear.'
Backstory:

It's simple really.

She was raised by a single mom. Her mommy was a former theatrical stage actor from Canada. Mommy had so many hopes and aspirations for her daughter. And she knew her little Minaerva had much talent and potential too. Such promise of a big career even if she did not use her Font. Oh but mommy realized her little Minaerva was very strong in magics! But that was until her little Mini turned 8. That was the day her little girl turned into a huge monster. The electrical blast destroyed pretty much their whole house. And mommy had to go to the hospital. She was hurt. Really bad.

And she never forgave her little girl because whe mommy came to, she signed the papers to give away her little girl to the Institute. And from there she slipped back into a coma and that was the last Mini ever saw of mommy.

And in that institue was where Minaerva Black grew up. As a teen, she was fettered back and forth into foster care and an orphanage, but never taken on as a full time child to a full time family. And as always, she came back to the Institute. But all the while she grew into a great little person despite the pain and lingering ghosts of her past that haunted her. Mini's mettle was strong and so she fought off such negativity and kept it at bay. And into a great performer did she blossom.

Her counsellor and mentor from the Institute retired and became a full time volunteer to help run the 81st street Mission. And when of age, Mini followed her there and took up residence in exchange for her volunteer time too.

It has been nearly a year since she moved in and she is now at a crossroads in her young life. She has loved her time here helping out the at-risk youth and building bonds and friendships but... the calling to become a great performer coursed through her blood. And to be great she needed to find a great stage. Yet that would mean she would have to leave the Mission behind; this was the place of her family now.

But then two things just so happened when she turned 19.

One was the email from someone named Mr. Moriden. And the other was the parcel in the mail.

The email asked of her services to combat crime. The parcel contained the chain necklace that mommy always wore around her neck coupled with a note penned with her mother's all too familiar chicken scratch writing:


'Wear this like you mean it. And always mean it when you wear it. So then, my little Beastie, what does it mean? And even more importantly...

It was all too clear the path she should take right then and there. She was Minaerva Black and but she would introduce herself as Minaerva Black from the 81st Street Mission. Because represent, that's why. They would be proud of her. All of them. It was time for her to move on and perform on the World Stage. It was her time to shine; it was time for her to be a hero.

Oh, and she still has no idea what the chain means, but she does know what it means to her; it means the most important person in the world still loves her. That's all she ever wanted, she realized. And so all she ever wanted and needed was right there hugging her right around her neck.
So like i'm thinking that Mini was like one of the few that was whoo-hoo~ing and cheering into the awkward silence during Faelon's turn. She calls him 'Mel'o' which is short form for "Melin otorno" from an Elf common dialect and I'mma say its a term of endearment which means 'Dear Brother' from a youngeer sibling.

For Dave she's like "Who D-MAN?! Deep D-Man!! WHO D-MAN?! DEEP D-MAN!!! Yayuh!!" She calls him both 'D-man' and 'Deep' cuz he don't seem to talk much but when he does she thinks its so Deeeep, bruh! ...that and i guess cuz he's a merperson...?

For Jero she's like "J! Yay! J! Yay! Mista' Smokey do dem 4:20 wit Mini!!! Get LIT!!" She calls him 'J' or 'Mista' Smokey' cuz she's always going up to him and all like: "Hey wuts in Mista' Smokey's pipe todaaaaaay, J?" all hopeful its some kinda' 'whacky-tabacky' and he's in a sharing mood... ;33

For Rose, she didn't think the redhead wanted cheers to she just held the pose cuz much love n' my sista WUT!! And she calls her 'Rosée' or 'Roses-R-Red'.

For Charlotte she'd be like "Miss C!! YAAAAAAYYYY!!" real loud then like under her breath: "ewwww..." then "Miss C!! YAAAAAYYY!!" then "ewwww..." She calls her 'Little Miss C' but sounds like 'Lil' Missy' when she says it.

For Raiyen she'd be like "Raiyen!! Yaaaaaaaaayyyy!!" She calls him Raiyen plain, formal and simple. Cuz she seen him in combat training. And she's afraid of him.

For Katalina she calls her 'Lady K' or 'Hexy' (Sexy-hexy in private cuz yeeeeahhhhh :33)

Mini sounds real fun. I bet Rose would probably try and get her to just let loose with her Tempest, possibly even on the enemies with complete disregard for anyone's safety around.

'Mini' - Minaerva Black from The 81st Street Mission

Appearance:

One of the derrogatory nicknames she had growing up was "Mixi" instead of Mini, and, even her mommy called her 'Beastie.' But she did not mind it. Really. For the girl truly is proud of her mixed heritage. Minaerva has the fine facial features of an Elf yet with the green skin colour, large triangular ears and pointy tusks of an Orc, and has sparkling emerald gem eyes and thick black hair of a Dwarf. Normally she keeps her hair long so as to be styled when needed for a performance, but usually it is tied back or pigtailed or even tucked away under a hat.

She is short and sleight, standing in at 4'11" (and a half) and weighing in at 105lbs. And again the features of her lineage are apparent. Height, or lack thereof, is definitely from her Dwarven lineage, but she has the round bottom and great centre of gravity of her ancestors. She may not have the toughness nor thick skin from her Orc lineage, however, she does have the powerful legs and endurance of those ancestors. And not as graceful nor grand as an Elf, she still maintains good posture and agility from those ancestors. What she truly does lack is the sheer muscle power and pure physicality of her combined ancestry. She is not scrawny though, for she is constantly active and a natural, yet non-practicing parkour artist; the girl is constantly climbing, swinging and leaping off things.

The orphan does have her tongue, belly, nipples and ears pierced, and yes, she has several tattoos, but she dresses rather plain for the most part and is usually found wearing her workout gear of tights/yoga pants and athletic tops or when it's nice out; shorts and cut-off tees. Then there are the days when she wants to dress all 'street' too and dons a cap or toque and wears the gangsta-girlie baggie clothes. She thinks she looks tough, but its laughable really, yet still quite adoreable. Footwear and accessories are usually nice colour compliments or accents she really is concious of-- even to the point of changing up her case and homescreens on her adored cellphone. Even her headphones are customizable too.

She never wears skirts nor dresses unless costume or wardrobe demands it. Right now, she wears very lovingly crafted ones while performing at the inhuman burlesque shows. And she does not mind wearing skimpy or tight clothes while performing or while in public. Any if she gets any of 'those looks,' she just rolls her eyes, or just laughs them off.

Oh, and don't even try to take that necklace off her lest you want to have all 105 pounds of Mini go all Beast-Mode on your ass!!!
Personality:

Mini really is a sweetheart, with much polites and much niceness, despite the bigotry and ignorance some will openly have against her. She is always willing to help out and volunteer her time for others. The girl rarely expects anything in return save for a 'thank you, Mini,' in kind. She has a sharp sense of humour and loves to laugh. Oh but those smiles... She normally has one plastered on her face but enjoys smiles on other peoples faces even more. Mini loves all kinds of positive reactions and has a knack of shrugging off negativity; she is a performer afterall.

She is also diligent in her workout routines and dance/theatre practices. She loves her job as a dancer/acrobat/actor and takes it very seriously. Right now she is with a burlesque troupe where she met her current girlfriend Shay, a half human/elf. But this is where she has major issues.

Friends she can keep and has lots of them, but lovers...? She seems to smother them and chase them away. She has anxiety issues with intimate relationships and her fear of getting dumped usually gets her to act up all flaky and ends up getting dumped for being all flaky. And so she looks for love again, only to do it all over again.

...but then there's that mouth. They call her Talkie for good reason. And Motor for good reason too. If her mouth isn't moving then some other part of her body most definitely is. Fidget would be another good nickname for her too. Or Tappity. Or Dancy. Or Get-off-your-phone-already. Or better yet, Fiddles-with-things-even-when-told-not-to-fiddle-with-those-things. Her friends could be nicknamed The Facepalmed. Yet even though they facepalm in reaction to their diminutive friend, Mini is usually just laughing on or still carrying on the conversation all by herself, oblivious to the Facepalm. She's not insulting nor insensitive, but she can be rather obnoxious with her motor mouth constantly running.

And then there's those times whe she loses her temper; there is only so much negativity she may shrug off without harbouring such ill feelings afterall. Rare are those times when she does lose it, but when she does, one's jaw would drop with the sheer rage that little thing is capable of. But that shock may turn to fear if she loses it and she happens to use her powers at the same time. The power of a storm named Minaerva at ground zero is quite the awe filled and awful sight to behold.
Strengths:

+ Positivity - It is so hard to bring her down, it really is. High energy, infectious smiles and bubbly giggles, adorkable, polite and kind. Mini really is a good pal to have around and if she is your friend, she will try to keep you happy too.

+ Acrobatic - even if she did not workout at the gym nor practice at the local college gymnastics facility, she would still be limber and in shape. She is naturally active and quite agile. Not exceptionally strong, but strong enough to lift her little frame and bounce, flip and roll around like a small yet hyper green ball. She is quite daring and can climb like a squirrel too.

+ Heroic - Why not. Even though she is tiny, she will go out of her way to do daring deeds and take big risks for huge rewards. Whether it be the performer in her craving applause, awe and accolade, or whether it be because she is small and feels the need to prove herself to the world, or whether it be because she really believes she is a superhero, it matters not in the end. This little Beastie lives up to her name; when she goes Beast Mode, she zones in and becomes single minded in completing the task!

+ Wind Font Expertise - The main reason her mother had high hopes for her was because she was gifted in using this very Font. The excess energy-- hyperactivity some may say-- she had while growing up was channelled into creativity which blossomed into the performer she is today. This channelling also included taming the power she had inside. And people still wonder how she can leap so effortlessly and climb like a squirrel so easily; she's actually just flying.

Weaknesses:

- That Mouth/That Fidgeting - Here we go... How can such a sweet little thing keep on talking and talking and talking and talking and talking without taking even a single breath...?! And exactly what was she talking about again? And man, can she not stop moving too? Stop tapping! Yes, you're popular, now get off your phone! Don't touch that! Mini! I said don't touch th-- AAGH!!! SEE?! I told you not to touch that!! Stop dancing! People are staring! Ugh! ~Facepalms~ She's talking again... Motor, please! Can you stop that tapping! - Dailiy experience by friends while hanging out with Minaerva...

- Self-Worth Issues - Yes, she has lots and lots of friends, and she is, in fact, quite poplular with many of them. But what most do not realize is how little she thinks of herself. Not only because she is a small person in a big world but because she fears letting people down; she fears failing those she cares about. Sometimes she does end up being too clingy, too over-bearing especially with the ones she falls in love with. This leads her to being manipulated by those same ones she tries to please. Take for instance her current flame, Shay. Mini has yet to profess that she will die for Shay. Oh but soon she will. And she will mean it. And that's when she will be at the mercy of her girlfriend.

- Heroic - for all the upsides of being daring, single-minded, zoned in and a taker of big risks there are just as many equal downsides. When you take that all or nothing shot, and you get nothing... oh man, when you get nothing...? That failure is so complete, so resounding and, for someone with self worth issues? That failure is abso-freakin'-lutely just crippling.

- Tempest Gift Anxiety -
For all the hopes her mother had for her daughter, this was the one thing that dashed all those hopes into oblivion. This powerful Gift was the reason she gave her daughter away. Yes, Mini is a very powerful Wind Font user, and yes, she is a very powerful Tempest Gift user too. But the difference is that she cannot control the force of her Tempest Gift. It is wild, it is raw, it is the devil to her. Over the years she has only learned how to repress it, not foster it. Wild, raw and a devil; and if she loses her temper...? Minaerva Black from the 81st Street Mission is a bomb waiting to explode.

That big cell phone - It is comically big compared to her, but unfortunately, it has more than enough energy to keep up with her and so she is constantly on it. It is the latest and greatest, and, very expensive, but worth every penny to her. And for whatever her needs...? There is an app for that. She will find it.

Those headphones - Like her phone they are comically big, but she does have big ears so size is necessary. And like her phone, the battery life in them is absolutely insane. They too are very expensive and she has had them modded too. They act as a portable lightshow, loudspeakers, eavesdropping gadget, megaphone, handsfree calling and make-up mirror, selfie/camera button, charging bay, sunglasses storage, spotlight capable, 360 cam, women's 'personal items' holder, magnet, and overall customizable fashion accessory. Yeah, prolly need more POSITIVITY than that to get her to electrocute people, even baddies ;PP~~ She almost killed her mom with that Gift and still feels too timid to use it...

But like we been training together for like what a month? I don't know if that's enough time for Mini to be manipulated by Rose unless she was really slick about it. But rose seems like not too subtle right? Seems she's pretty blunt ;DDD Not a bad thing and actually I know Mini will like her because she likes people who talk a lot too... even if half the words out her mouth are bad ones^^

But like Davy on the other hand... he seems sweet enough and manipulative enough to convince Mini into protecting others by using a destructive, mom-hurting, home obliterating, puts girls into Institutes kinda POWAHHH!!! Muahahahahahahah!!!

Oh heavens no. Rose wouldn't manipulate at all. She would be all bravado and bluntness. If the power is really that dangerous then she just needs to aim it at the right target.
