It'll depend on kind of image. If you take something that is clearly a hentai art sex scene and censor that, it's not going to fly. But if it's a simple nude posing art, that'd be totally fine.

Peeps have to remember that the character vault is a public space and people as young as 13 will be posting and looking at characters. So if you have a pic and think "Yeah, a parent would get mad if they walked in and saw their 13 year old kid looking at this." Then it's prolly not a good idea to use.

Or, when you decide to check out what the character vault is for the first time at work, something you probably already shouldn't be doing, and find something F-sized on the front page which you hope to have backspaced in that split-second before your co-worker decides to ask you something... Well...

On some older roleplay sites admins really don't care. They put up RULES but don't ENFORCE them.
Also two other reasons is Copyright issues with the pornography maker(s) and maybe a creepy stalker or if you see them on the street you may or may not do something to him/her.

This is artistic nudity and you're not going to generally find people censoring this or objecting to minors seeing it. It's fine to post without warnings.

This photo is legally acceptable to post here because it is artistic and because no sexual areas are exposed. Spoiler tags and a warning might be recommended to be safe, but it's not going to get you banned.

This is pornographic (clearly intended to provoke a sexual reaction) and pretty much everywhere would censor it. Don't post it without warnings.

Pornographic art isn't allowed in the Gallery because there's no way to warn people or put it in spoilers. Pornographic art IS allowed elsewhere IF it is hidden behind warnings/spoilers.
