Positive and negative traits: Wethra has a fierce loyalty to her race and on the whole distrusts elves. She can seem cold and does not give her good will easily and her friendship even less so, however once given her friendship and loyalty run as deep as the roots of her mountain home. She is not compassionate but she does have good intuition about most things. She is apathetic to all except those closest to her and this is her greatest failing. She loves Middle Earth and especially the mountains with which she feels a strong connection. This is the reason she hates Sauron and why she has left her mountain home to fight against his evil for she is someone who woul fight to the bitter end for that which she cares about.
Bio: Wethra was born upon Mt Gundabad, birthplace of Durin and she is closely related with that line for her family has lived there for uncountable years.
As a young dwarfling of 5 she began learning the art of Weaponcrafting and swiftly gained in prowess. She spent much of her time wandering the mountain paths and it was through this that her passion for the mountain's was kindled in her heart. When she was 15 Wethra and her parents visited their kin who dwelt in the Lonely Mountain. There she found weaponsmiths of great skill from which she learned much, mastering the craft faster than she had before. She also gained acquaintance with Thrain, King under the Mountain and he began teaching her to wield a sword and battle Axe, skills she also excelled at.
For 5 years she trained and practiced there until the dragon came. Smaug killed her parents but their sacrifice allowed her to escape with Thrain through the hidden passage, out of the Lonely Mountain. After her parents death Thrain adopted her and her loyalty to him and his family swiftly became unshakable.
She fell in love with Frerin, Thrain's second son and they wed young before Wethra bore a daughter and later a son. She fought with her Husband in the war against the Orcs of Hithaeglir and stood alongside Thorin, Thrain's eldest son, in the battle at Nanduhirion where her husband died.
After his death she took to the mountains once more, coming only briefly amongst company and spending most of her time taming the wild goats of Ered Luin.
She came with Thrain upon his quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain but when he was lost in the forest of Mirkwood she did not return to Thorin's Halls in Ered Luin. She wandered in grief into the Misty Mountains and eventually made her home upon Caradhras. There she slay's the Orcs that swarm from Moria and tames the great wolves that prowl the mountain passes.
