ginger ninja | originally coined by her best friend, the name is meant to refer to her hair, as well as her slightly feisty nature.
lil red | stevie's uncle used this for her when she was first born and the name sort of caught on. now it's used by a lot of people, regardless of whether they know where the nickname originated from, merely due to her hair colour and her height.

stevie is a very optimistic and quirky person. she finds joy in things that most people don't and se always finds a way to make the best of a horrible situation. a very kind soul, stevie is constantly trying to help others that need it or make them smile. she has a unique sense of humour, which some could describe as a little morbid, and she can sometimes be seen as quite sardonic, but there are hardly other people that could master the language known a ssarcasm, better than her. while she is patient, there are certain occasions when stevie could get angry, though those are incredibly rare. all in all, she's a lovely person to be around, and you can bet she'll make you smile one way or another.

PETS
though stevie would love to get a cat, she was advised against keeping animals with long fur. so, instead, she got a tarantula named fierro.
HISTORY
most of stevie's childhood was spent in hospitals. it wasn't exactly pleasant but she tried to make the best of it. her cystic fibrosis stemmed from a gene since her mother's father suffered from it as well, and while he died at twenty six from it, stevie was expected to live a little longer.
because her mother was reminded of all the sufferin she went through, seeing what happened to her father now happening to her daughter, she believed she couldn't take it anymore so one day, while stevie and her dad were in the hospital, she just packed her bags and left. stevie's never seen her mother since that day. she was ten. she holds a lot of anger and resentment toward the woman for being selfish and leaving them in the lurch. they strugfled with finances before but nownwith just her father trying to hold up the family and her hospital bills, things were hard.
stevie continued to grow older and while sometimes complications arose, she was still more or less healthy. as much as one could be, with cystic fibrosis. stevie was homeschooled so she never experienced what actual school was like till she turned fifteen and demanded to go. she has only two good friends — adam parker, a rather confident athlete who happened to be her neighbour since she was a kid, and brooke davies, a flamboyant lesbian whom she met in class and hit things off with immediately. stevie is content with these two friends and while she is friendly with others, none of them are as close as brooke and adam.
brooke now left the country to attend a college abroad and she soon began working there. adam stayed in town, like stevie, and attended the same college as her, but a different course. he is now completing his masters in law.
As for stevie, she still lives at home. she's taken up a small time course in visual arts after doing a similar course for her bachelors degree, and her father insists that she cannot move out because living alone would be dangerous in her condition and if god forbid, anything went wrong. she rarely spends time at home though, preferring to be outdoors, now that she's got a taste of what it's like.
