→ eleanora is someone that can be easily described as eccentric. she's different, often an enigma, but that shouldn't allow people to mistake her as being brooding because she isn't. she's actually quite lively and bubbly. she's like a ball of energy that can't be tamed. she needs to constantly be on the move, doing something or the other to keep herself busy. eleanora can be described as the life of most parties and her impulsive behaviour has resulted in both good and bad things in the past. eleanora is someone with a big heart that cares deeply for the people she loves, however she also has a very up front nature, no matter who she's talking to. if there's something she doesn't like about you, she'll let you know with a tone that oozes sarcasm. if she thinks you're amazingly good looking, she'll make sure you know it. sometimes though, she intends to keep things to herself, but it's just not possible because of her impulsive nature. she just speaks and does things without thinking of it and by then, it's too late. eleanora's vibrant, and caring exterior often misleads people into thinking she's soft and gentle and innocent, when she is anything but. she is capable of being soft, but that's only when she wants to be. eleanora actually has anger issues and over the years, she has become more and more rebellious. she has a tendency to do as she pleases and doesn't like having to listen to people. eleanora is someone that appears all goofy and down to earth, but when she's angry, people know it just with a look. just that alone is enough to scare people off, so when she gets going, people are definitely in for trouble.

RELATIONSHIP WITH LOVE INTEREST
→ eleanora met peter when she was in middle school and they were paired up as lab partners. it didn't take very long for them to bond, however, and they hit it off instantly. he would help her out considering she had dyslexia and she, in turn, would always drag him along to various events or merely to fulfill her impulsive decisions. When high school rolled around, the two of them began to develop a crush on each other, but neither ever admitted it. Eleanora had a phase where she dated someone else in between, merely to test how far her feelings went, and after figuring out that she couldn't stop thinking about Peter, she broke it off with her then boyfriend. it's junior year and neither of them have admitted their feelings to each other yet, and while they know almost everything about each other, apart from the feelings they harbour, they are also oblivious to the fact that the other has powers.

BIOGRAPHY
→ past // like both her siblings, eleanora was born with special abilities. her older brother could wield ice, while her younger brother could wield fire. the three of them were a product of their father's creation. Carlos de la cruz was a respected man among the streets of Mexico, for he was known primarily for the drug cartel he ran. he initially treated all his children quite lovingly, till each grew to the age of eight and he decided to implement new teaching methods to turn his children into weapons of mass destruction. it was around this time that eleanora's mother took her own life -- she had started to grow depressed, seeing what her children were being put through, and her alcoholism that stemmed from before she even got married, didn't help. Once her mother passed, her father, carlos, had decided a change in scene would be nice -- and also a good way to test their abilities.
So, he moved the family to new york, where he made a name for himself once more, having had many allies all over the country and nearby countries. he acquired certain things that caused his children to be born the way they were, with powers, and now, with them, he intended to acquire more things so that he may be more powerful than ever. eleanora was dead against all of it, as was her older brother, but the youngest, nicolas, was easily influenced. carlos sent the kids to a normal school, to pose as normal teenagers, and that was the front they put up. when they were home, however, it was just hours of torture for all three children, from their father and his men. eventually, carlos realised that his youngest son was the easiest to get onto his side, and so he started to pursue him alone, before gaining his trust and getting him to see things the way he did. while this happened, eleanora's older brother had been approached by a shield agent by the name of clint barton.
apparently, her younger brother's powers hadn't gone unnoticed -- he used them freely, and however he pleased, and it certainly attracted attention. after explaining to clint, everything that was going on, the man promised that the children would be safe if he came with them, but there was one loose end. they had to get their younger brother. at home the same day, eleanora attempted to try and convince her younger brother nicolas that he didn't need to follow their father and that they could escape, but her timing couldn't have been worse because her father walked in after having heard it all. despite using endearing terms to refer to her, he was never less violent with her compared to her older brother. this time was no different. to test his son's loyalty, he asked nicolas to defend him, and he did so with his fire powers, almost burning the house down while father and son fled. it was how eleanora came to have the large burn across her back. fortunately, her brother returned home and managed to clear a path with his ice powers, in order to get eleanora out.
They never saw their father or youngest brother again. Eleanora was thirteen.
From there, the siblings joined Clint and he helped them settle down in the Avengers base, where they were to train every day, after returning from their normal day lives at school. They were never allowed on any official missions. Not until julian turned eighteen, that is. it was around this time that ultron came into power, and everyone had left the base in order to defeat him. eleanora had been ordered by tony to stay behind, but knowing she could help, she secretly stowed away with them on one of the helicarriers. once there, it came as a surprise to everyone, her brother most of all. just that one second distraction of her entering the scene and nearly being killed by one of ultrons robots had been enough to cause a sudden change. julian was racing toward her, and she hadn't yet realised why. before she could say or do anything, she was roughly shoved aside, and the next thing she knew, she was looking at her brother's dead body on the ground, impaled by the same robot. she may not have been the only one to loose a brother that day, but she did learn that for such a small person, she had a large amount of rage, if provoked.
after the events of ultron, eleanora rarely left the compound, even dropping out of school for a short while before she got a much needed pep talk from clint and started to get back on track.
→ present // currently, eleanora attends high school, while still continuing her training in the avengers base. she is allowed to go on small missions now, but is not allowed to reveal her identity to anyone. she's heard all about the masked figure known as spiderman, and though tony knows that she is actually friends with peter parker, he never once mentions to her that he knows spiderman's true identity.
