The underwater city was pretty much as it always was that morning. People swam about, just going about their daily lives, kids went to lessons or out to play, adults watched over their kids or got ready for work and the day in general. It was a nice day out, too. The water seemed particularly clear and the currents weren't too cool; just enough to be comfortable.

Of course, as calm as the city was today, the places beneath the surface buzzed with activity as a somewhat less-peaceful group of merfolk gathered in the base near the center of town. It seemed that something had captured their attention, and not necessarily in a good way. Bringing their newfound curiosity, or perhaps threat, to their leader, they waited for the decision as for what to do about it.

The room in which they all met very much resembled a large bubble, only made of materials that could only be seen through in some places. With a light off-white color dominating the interior, it seemed as if it could be quite peaceful, except for the particular crowd there at the moment.

One of the most important things about this room, though, was the fact that the bubble-like structure actually created a large air pocket. The way into the room was actually by swimming up through a water-filled opening in the floor that led to the lower level. The rest of the room looked mostly like a fairly normal study, with a large desk at one end and a few chairs of various styles around. The leader of the group sat in his place behind the large desk, while the small group in front of him dragged the topic of their meeting to an empty armchair that they had pushed to the center. Now they discussed the matter quietly as they waited for him to awaken.
