kangmin’s face lit up when he saw what she’d written on her whiteboard. now that he’d guessed him correctly, he was allowed to take his helmet off, right? she’d guessed that it was him with just two questions, and he took that to be a good thing. his wife was either very knowledgeable about people in the industry, or just—him. he flattered himself by imagining that it was the latter, but it also made him feel even worse about his lack of knowledge on absolutely anyone at the moment. he’d make sure that he knew his partner inside and out in the next few months. he’d given some very specific hints, only because he didn’t realise that anyone would actually get a grasp of who he was with them, and yet here she was. he nodded his head to confirm that she was correct, and—

the ex-idol covered his face with his hands, nerves kicking in strong, because what if his appearance today didn’t meet her expectations? kangmin had changed quite a bit since the days where he was an idol, which was when she’d most likely known him, and—no. he was being dumb. surely, surely she wouldn’t think like that. noticing that she was staring at him, or rather, looking at him through her goggles in a way that made him assume that she was staring, he kept his eyes on her as he removed his googles... and for no other reason than he suddenly felt like it, he shot her a wink as he moved proceeded to remove his helmet, running his fingers through the curly locks that had been pressed down by the helmet. he was pretending that he didn't feel shy at all, but his reddened ears said everything; it was awkward to have his face exposed while his partner's was completely covered. but he was thankful that she did guess.

there were so many questions kangmin wanted to ask, but not enough time for any of them, as they were now just so close to being able to get off. in the end, he just settled with, "can i please get a hint? :( i'm really sorry".

Location: Movie Theater
Honorable Mentions: Honey @MaryGold

The movie theater was a lot busier than Ji-Yoo thought it would be. She had arrived half an hour early just to avoid people but it seemed that everyone else had other plans. Couples, friends, and even siblings came and went as they pleased. To the inexperienced idol who has always been a bit of a shut in throughout her entire life, every little bit was very overwhelming. The sights, the smells, the indistinct chatter that surrounded her made the fine hairs on her arms stand up. A pair of cold hands instinctively tried to rub away the tension she felt from just standing in the middle of the path that led to the entrance.

It was futile, of course. Her palms quickly began to sweat as her anxiety built up little by little every time people nearly collided with her. Had the camera men in the corner of her eye not handed her the mission card, with the theater and seat number attached, and urged her forward, it was possible she wouldn’t have ever taken the step needed to continue with this silly show.

Taking a deep breath, Ji-Yoo took a peek at the mission and marched on with the confidence of a blade of grass. However, instead of heading over to the concession stand like the card asked her to, she followed the sign to the bathroom instead and chose a stall to hide in for the time being. Now that she was alone and away from prying eyes and cameras, the idol relaxed and breathed out a sigh of relief. The first episode hadn't even finished being recorded and she already regretted the decision she had made on a whim. "Crowds are the worst.." she mumble whined to no one in particular as she thought about everything wrong with her career choice.

A faint buzzing noise brought her back to the present. Pulling her phone out of her purse, Ji-Yoo scrolled through the notifications that had been blowing up the moment she left the dorm. She meant to only take a glance but was surprised to find it flooding with encouraging words from the other girls in her group and random questions and requests she had yet to find the answers to. “Idiots.” Although the word that left her lips was every bit unkind, the reddening of the tips of her ears and the smallest of smiles growing on her lips spoke otherwise.

The warmth of her close peers' affection kept the cold feeling in her limbs from keeping her trapped in the stall all night. Her worries all but melted away and she exited the stall like nothing happened. Before leaving the ladies room, Ji-Yoo paused at the mirror to give herself a final once over, again filled with regret. Judging by the looks other women gave her earlier, it was much too extravagant for the occasion.

Before she left home no more than an hour ago, she had texted the other members for opinions on what to wear only to be greeted with one option; a dress. Ji-Yoo wasn't a tomboy by any means but dresses just weren't her thing. She only wore them when instructed to. With nothing in her closet even coming close to resembling a dress, she snuck over to the leaders room and grabbed the first one she saw. "Well, it's not like you can do anything about it now, dummy." Another regretful sigh left her parted lips as she complained to the girl in the mirror.

Satisfied with the rest of her look, Ji-Yoo finally made her way to the line in front of the three open counters, assuming that was where she needed to go based off of where others were heading. Unsure of what to do, she watched the couple in front of her for clues. The two seemed to be bickering over their choices, seemingly on a budget. Needless to say, they were of no help. The guy wanted something they could both share and the girl wanted something sweet. Neither willing to bow down to the other's desires.

'I hope this husband of mine is much more reasonable..' She thought to herself as her gaze wandered to the options displayed on the menu. 'What does this guy even like?'

Giving her no time to think it over, the woman at the counter called her over. Startled out of her thoughts, Ji-Yoo jumped in surprise and quickly rushed over. “Hello.” She bowed politely in greeting as her eyes continued to wander over the display, thinking over her choices. Recalling the couple from earlier, she chose what the man wanted, thinking it was the most normal option available. “Popcorn. The largest one if you could, please.” Since the show was based solely around romantic moments, what was better than sharing a snack, right?

She was about to pull out her card to pay when she noticed a bag of honey butter chips behind the clerk. Her eyes lit up at the sight. “W-wait a minute. May you add a bag of those? No, two! Please.” She pointed towards the bags, pleasantly surprised that they existed in a place like this. She had always sent staff members out to find the darned things and they never could. Seeing them now, made the day a hell of a lot better than it was before this moment.

As if reborn, she smiled brightly as she payed for the snacks and stuffed the chips into her purse before happily bounding off to find the correct room listed on her ticket. Following the directions of the staff that stood around to help people not get lost on their way and the signs on the wall, she swiftly arrived and found her seat, The singer was relieved to find less people attending than usual. "Maybe this won't be so bad."

She pulled out her phone once more and put it on silent before sending her members a happy face to let them know she was still alive and well. Ji-Yoo never really was one for texting and didn't wish to give out any spoilers even if there were none to give. She tucked it back into her purse when she was done and pulled out a bag of chips, completely ignoring the large container of popcorn that sat on her lap. "Ah, even if my husband is no good, I still have you~." She thought as she savored the sweet flavor that tickled her taste buds in all the right places. Really, who needs a husband when they have food and money to keep them alive and happy?

널 바라보네 두근대는 마음 모르게
I’m looking at you, with a pounding heart, without knowing ...

What was she expecting? Ji Yeon was not sure, but it certainly was not Bin SungHo. The moment Ji Yeon's eyes met with the taller stranger who entered through the front door, she paused. There wasn't a lot of time for her to examine his every feature, but she didn't need to in order to acknowledge the very obvious fact that he was handsome -- no beautiful. The most beautiful person she had ever laid her eyes on -- and Jisoo had seen many gorgeous people due to her line of business. But he was so handsome and beautiful. The words were repeating themselves in her head, but she didn't notice. She was too busy awing at the fact that he was so tall and his skin was practically flawless, aside from the little beauty mark underneath his eye. And the red in his cheeks. Cute.

Unconsciously, Ji Yeon had pressed the tips of her fingers against her mouth and despite herself, she smiled. She almost giggled, an action she'd never display amongst first meetings. And giggling wasn't very chic. She hated herself for smiling too, especially since her brown eyes seem to have smiled along with her at that moment. Which meant that it wasn't very subtle and she mentally chastised herself for her action. This was far from the great impression she wanted to give.

Swallowing her regret and brushing away her negative thoughts, she returned his greeting with, her expression returning to the impassive look she once wore. It wasn't so hard to put back on now that they were introducing themselves. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Na Ji Yeon." She introduced herself elegantly as she had done so many times before on interviews and television shows and performances. Because this was a performance, was it not ... It certainly wasn't so far, Ji Yeon was being wholly genuine. And if she had been acting, she had broken character the moment she smiled so brilliantly. She was ready to move past that hiccup now. Especially when the small box slid across the table towards her.

Strange. She hadn't been expecting a single gift. It had been her plan to be the gift bearer that day. "You didn't have to." Ji Yeon said to softly as she picked up the box, holding it between her fingers. Ji Yeon would have been happy if he hadn't brought anything simply because his presence was a gift in itself. Regardless of how she felt, there were little butterflies in her belly, excited to have received a gift from SungHo anyway. So, of course, she didn't hesitate to open the little box and see what was inside of it.

"Oh no," the words had slipped out of her mouth before she could stop herself. "What am I going to do? It's so pretty." Reaching in, she gently pulled the silver bracelet out and admired it with the softest smile. "I should have at least bought five rose bouquets instead of a single rose so that'd we'd be somewhat equal." There was no mistaking the guilt she felt, but it was almost entirely hidden by her contentment with the bracelet she had received. "Next time, I will get you rose upon rose of roses." Now, that pun had been unintentional, and while she didn't laugh at her mistake, the twitch that the corners of her mouths did said that she wanted to. Ji Yeon had a serious problem.

For now, she ignored her terribly joke issues and begin to roll up the sleeve on her left arm, revealing the pale skin on wrist. Shewa ted to wear the sparkling bracelet now, though, as she unclipped it and wrapped it around her small wrist, she found it difficult to perform the operation with one hand. Though, there-there were two perfectly pretty hands across the table from her. Ji Yeon paused, pondering whether not to ask for his assistance or not. It seemed too silly to ask outright when he had already given her so much in this one meeting. She couldn't bring herself to ask ... out loud. Her eyes did it perfectly well, staring at the male across the table from her quietly.

예쁜 말 모두 모아서 따다 주고 싶은데
I want to pick and gather all the pretty words for you

Drinks. His job was to retrieve the drinks and then he would go to meet his wife. It was a simple job, the steps were just two. All Honey had to do was buy two drinks and meet the woman he was supposed to marry. No big deal. No reason to become excited and nervous and sick all at the same time. No reason at all to rethink why he joined this show and what if his wife had seen him acting like a total weirdo on those fandom compilation videos or the weird rumors that spread about him and the fact that the fangirls shipped him with his members that were practically family or that she may not be into him at all. It was all good. All he had to do was ... Honey's brain ceased to stop functioning for a few seconds. Five to be exact.

Honey.exe has stopped working.

He was standing in the middle of the theaters with couples, families and friends walking past him without sparing the idol a single glance as he stared at the ground and tried to recollect himself. He was nervous, more than he should have been. It was stupid, but it had been ages since he truly had been around the opposite gender. Girls were a completely pretty and rare specimen, separated from him most of the time to prevent dating rumors. Ha. Honey could never escape the rumors. But men? Honey spoke with men all the time and felt comfortable with them even if they had only just met. He was so easy going and affectionate that some people thought he had been raised overseas, no, he just lacked proper Korean mannerism due to the neglect of both parents. He was learning though, he was going to be sure to be the perfect Korean man for his wife.

Then it dawned on him. Drinks. Honey was supposed to retrieve their drinks. How could he have forgotten that? He ran his fingers through his dirty blond hair and ruffled gently, scolding himself playfully for his silly mistake. He was overthinking everything he only needed to relax and be himself. What if she doesn't like you? That small annoying voice questioned. Honey told that negative thinking to kindly screw off because he had a date. And that left no room for self-pity and worry at the moment. If she didn't like him ... well, Honey was a very convincing person.

Slowly, he walked into the line of the concession stand and looked up at the menu on the wall above the counters. There were a lot of drinks to choose from. Honey had zero ideas of what the woman he would be seeing wanted. Or did she even like soft drinks? Should he bring a cup of water? Would she want ice or no ice? He could mess this up in so many different ways it wasn't funny. He had wished the producers gave them some clues about their spouses. It was ridiculous of him to think, but he was getting nervous again and so he was becoming unreasonable. This one decision could determine the rest of his future being married on this show ...

By the time he was standing in front of the woman behind the stand, he diced to go with a sprite and water. His wife would be able to choose whatever drink she pleased out of the two and if she wanted neither, he'd run back to get what she did want. It was a simple plan, but a smart one. He also threw in some churros, hoping that she'd like the sweet and dough pastry.

There was no hurry to getting into his seat, but he wanted to meet the woman who he'd be spending a considerable amount of time with. Was she someone that he knew? Or was she someone else he never crossed paths with? Was she even there. His very last question was instantly answered when he made it to his seat and found a very beautiful young woman snacking on chips. Chips had never looked so good. Honey stopped himself and sat in the seat next to his own for a moment to recompose himself and remind himself to not be weird.

"Why are you so pretty?" Mission failed. He stood up and smiled as naturally as possible. "I'm sorry, but you really are. Of course, you already know, that, since you had to grow up being so pretty." Once he started he couldn't stop. "I'm Lee Hoon, but please call me Honey. I'm sorry for not introducing myself first."

The lights were dim, it made it hard to observe and admire her every feature but there was no mistaking how pretty she was. It was as clear as day to him, she was an idol. And one to his favorite girl groups. Maybe it would be better if he simply left before she noticed him. But he was a professional and completely interested in being the husband of this woman. He must have saved the county in his past life to be here her now even if it was not to last forever. "Do you mind if I take a seat?" Honey asked softly, forgetting that the seat was his in the very first place.

JIHOON
jihoon hadn't expecter her to actually trip and part of him wondered if she had done it on purpose. he couldn't exactly ask that though, so he only smiled and allowed her to hold on, even though he was a bit awkward with skinship when involving a stranger. he didn't hold her hand tightly or anything, mostly because it was just odd. he certainly didn't expect her to be the forward type. it made him almost worried about how far she'd take skinship further down the road.

the model cleared his throat slightly as he was practically dragged out of the theater, feeling like it should've been the other way around, but it wasn't. oh well. nothing like following this spunky idol around. "ah yeah, a lot of idols can't drive so it's okay. i think they dropped a car off for me to drive..." he trailed off when they reached the parking lot, having been giving a key from one of the staff members. alright, so now they had to find their car.

it took a few minutes of pressing the lock button before he found the car with the headlights that turned on. alright, that was a bit annoying. he unlocked the car, and like the gentleman he was, jihoon opened the passenger door for his wife, helping her get seated before he closed the door and went to the driver's side of the car. once inside, he started the car and looked up nearby restaurants. "are you craving anything in particular mina-ssi?"

the cameras in the car were a bit shocking at first, but he didn't mind too much. they were at least small and weren't so in your face. plus, it gave them a chance to be in a more comfortable environment to talk and get to know each other. "i guess we could start with the mission now. when were you born?" he wanted to know her age so that he could figure out how to properly address her.

YERIN
her heart stopped as soon as he revealed his face. her hands went to her face, in complete and utter shock as she stared at the male. it actually was him. oh my god. the male winked and immediately yerin hid her face completely, feeling so embarrassed by the fact she was going to be married to an idol that she really liked. it was crazy and it should've been a prank. what if he was disappointed with her? now she really didn't want to reveal herself.

yerin turned to shyly look at the male, reading what he wrote on the whiteboard and she simply found herself doing something very out there. instead of giving him a hint on the whiteboard, she took off her gloves and gently placed her hands on either side of his face, bringing him quite close so that he could see her eyes a little closer. she had somewhat unique eyes, being rather narrowed yet still puppy-like. her trademark aegyo-sals were also something she was often known for.

as soon as the lift reached the top, she pulled away and put her gloves back on, eager to get off the lift. surprisingly, the tall girl didn't fall over when she got off and simply found herself hiding behind her snowboard, feeling extremely nervous. she didn't know what to do. she supposed that she was going to have to reveal her face, but she didn't want to. there would be ugly red lines from her goggles and it'd look bad. the girl whined a bit and turned around to use her camera to check out her face and how it looked.

she wouldn't reveal her identity right then and there. so she pocketed her phone and used her whiteboard to write down another thing that could be considered a hint so that kangmin could at least try and guess her. 'i'm currently playing the second lead in a romantic drama. that's my hint 'ㅅ' " and with that, she held the board close to her and made sure to keep distance between them in case he tried to take her scarf or goggles off.

in all honesty, she was so nervous because it was her favorite idol in front of her, so she was sure her brain wasn't working properly. yerin's heart was hammering in her chest and her whole face was on fire because of how embarrassed she was and how hot her gear was. she just wanted to be rid of it and run away so that she didn't have to face her husband. he was too handsome, it should've been illegal. but it also meant she had major bragging rights.

Dice didn't have much of a choice as Deon, with the help of a few staffers shoved him up the stairs and on the stage. He looked back to Haneul who had changed into a cuter outfit that almost matched his own. Being handed a mic and being told he would just have to add some rap lines as the music played. Thankfully, he didn't have to sing the chorus; Dice is a rapper... not a singer. Before the music started up again though, the rapper heard the DJ announce that Haneul and Dice were the new couple on "We Got Married." Eyes shooting from the DJ, to the crowd and then landing on Haneul. With a smirk. Oh these motherfuckers were good. He didn't expect for the beauty on stage to be his match but she was. The trickster just got tricked and he couldn't help but give a small laugh under his breath as Hanuel came close to him. Being an American, he didn't understand the bowing part but also bowed awkwardly. Thinking it was cute that his future wife was nervous, just like he was right now.

Dice took the earpiece from Haneul. "Thank you, Hani." Grinning as he placed the earpiece in his ear and listened to the music starting up. The song was pretty good and when he wasn't adding his own flavor to it, Dice was Haneul's hype man. Getting the crowd pumped up; some of the audience even jumped out of their seats and hopped around the concert hall. He would give Haneul a few flirty gestures when he passed by her. Even lightly touching the middle of her back as he rapped about her beauty and her booty. The crowd thought it was cute and Dice hoped his future wife thought his childish behavior was charming. Dice was amazed at how well their chemistry was on the stage; magnetic energies melting together to make an explosive performance. When Haneul song a line, Dice had his raps ready to fit whatever came out of her beautiful mouth. It was as if they had collab on a few songs before this entire show and surprise reveal of being the newest couple happened.

Once the music had ended and the audience was still going wild, Dice moved over to Haneul and gave her a big kiss on the cheek. He was in the moment, not realizing he had just kissed her on a national televised event. Preparing to be slapped. "Oh shit; sorry. Was caught up in the moment." Giving a small smile of genuine regret. The audience was shocked, silent for the first time that day. Most pulled out their phones and flashed cameras and were recording the entire thing. Dice could already see gifs and memes of their "first" kiss. "Well, I guess this will be a concert to remember. Right, Hani?" Grinning and waving to the audience, blowing a few kisses here and there.

As the concert came to an end and the audience started leaving or waiting around for autographs and pictures, Dice moved towards the now empty DJ Booth with Haneul. "So, I guess we should get to know each other?" Eyebrows raising in a comical manner. "This is weird, right? It's a blind date but also we're matched up to get married too." He took this moment to really look Hanuel over and couldn't believe how gorgeous this woman was. "Also, I didn't mean to kiss you out of the blue. Luckily I had some control and kissed your cheek only." Grinning that bad boy smile of his. "I'll earn a kiss on those lips soon, I hope." Dice was a smooth Casanova in any and all situations. A true charmer and Haneul would probably be able to handle said charm. Which is probably why they were a match for this crazy ass show.

The audience most had left but a few were still near the stage waiting for the new couple to sign pictures and phone cases and anything else they could find for them to sign. "Shall we give the fans what they came for? Wifey." Letting Haneul lead the way, since they were mostly if not all of her fans. This was a good way for people in Korea to know about him but this was still Haneul's concert and he would never try to steal her spotlight, even though he could never. "Damn, you're gorgeous." He gave her one last wink as he went to sign a new fan's phone case.

suddenly, there were hands on the sides of the ex-idol's face, surprising him so much that he almost dropped the whiteboard from his hands. this wasn’t what kangmin was expecting when he’d asked for a hint, but it was probably more helpful than a written answer anyway. she’d acted so boldly that he could hardly believe she was the same person who’d been so shy until then, but that was okay. he liked skinship. (perhaps she knew that too, because it was something he’d previously mentioned in interviews as well.) her hands, still a bit warm from being in the gloves, felt pleasant on his face. kangmin couldn’t help but smile. her eyes were gorgeous, with double eyelids and aegyo-sal and long eyelashes. he still wasn’t exactly sure who it was—but maybe, just maybe, he’d finally gotten the beginnings of an idea.

kangmin didn’t realise that they had reached the top until she pulled away and got off of the lift. he was quick to do the same, taking all of his belongings with him. he stayed close behind his wife, and attempted to peek at her from her phone screen when she pulled it out. he’d only got a slight glimpse, but if he wasn’t wrong, her face seemed somewhat familiar. like he’d seen it before.

she was writing something on her whiteboard, and he was curious to see what. “i'm currently playing the second lead in a romantic drama. that's my hint ‘ㅅ’”, it said. interesting. a very big hint. the soloist usually enjoyed watching korean dramas, including romantic dramas, but he hadn’t really gotten the chance to get into them again. he had just been working hard for the past few months, producing a lot of music and preparing for his debut. his friends and workmates watched a lot of dramas, though, and there were plenty of times where the second leads got as much attention as the main leads. he’d heard names being tossed around, and screenshots and memes being used in his group chats, so he waited for something to click.

a name came to mind, but kangmin couldn’t say it right away, because he wasn’t sure if it was worse to get her name wrong than not at all—he didn’t want her to think that he wanted a different person as his wife, nor did he want him to think that he would be disappointed if she wasn’t whoever he had guessed. it would just be awkward, and he wanted to avoid awkward situations as much as possible… but the more he thought about it, the more he felt that he might actually be correct.

there was only one way to find out. kangmin stuck his snowboard into the snow, then chucked his helmet, goggles, whiteboard and marker onto the floor. he then approached her and gently removed everything she was holding, then cupped her face in a way similar to how she’d done just before. her scarf was soft under his fingertips, and although he really wanted to just take it off, he stayed like that, taking another look at her eyes. “are you… kim yerin-ssi?” he asked carefully, a furrow between his brows that showed he was uncertain. hopefully he was correct. hopefully.

a few seconds passed, and still without an answer, kangmin pulled away to grab his snowboard again. “actually, don’t tell me yet—race me down the slope first,” he suggested playfully, a little smile on his face. his cheeks were feeling way too hot, even when it was fully exposed to the cold air, and he needed to be doing something else. “if i win, let me take your gear off for you. and if you win, you can take it off yourself. please?”

song yu-na

"i'd follow you to hell and back."

Yu-Na was pleasantly surprised at the gift, thinking that if anything, they would have given her something super expensive that had been bought last minute. Cookies took time, patience, and effort. She could feel blood rushing to her ears, her heart swelling with happiness. She grabbed the box with one hand, her head bowing in thanks.

Maybe she shouldn't give him the gift that she bought, it definitely was last minute, and she didn't look very hard to find something. Not only that, she felt as if he deserved a gift of the same caliber. While she couldn't cook, she could draw. What would she draw him? She had no idea what he liked, or what he did on his free time. A portrait, maybe? No, too easy... God, she didn't know what to do.

For the second time that day, she pulled herself out of her thoughts and focused on the man in front of her. She instantly took notice to the slight differentiation of his voice compared to hers, and how he immediately apologized for it. His accent was odd, but charming.

"Ah, well, thank you. I feel kind of bad now... I brought a gift too, but I'm a horrible cook and I really didn't know what you would like so... here you go." She admitted, thrusting the small keychain into his hand. "Also, I think your accent is cute. You don't have to apologize for something that you can't control." Yu-Na flipped her wavy hair behind her shoulder, sticking her tongue out at him in a playful manner. If he ever apologized for something like that again, she was going to smack him.

"It's lovely to meet you, Cho DaeHyun. I'm Song Yu-Na, and I guess we'll be getting married!" Saying that out loud was strange, but she knew that their time together would be interesting.

Ji-Yoo nearly choked on her chips and dropped the popcorn the moment she realized the strange question was directed towards her. Luckily she caught the tilting snack just in time but just as quickly fell into a brief coughing fit. She covered her mouth as she coughed, trying to dislodge the small pieces caught in her throat. Even if the lighting wasn’t so dim, it would be hard to tell whether her face was red from second hand embarrassment or lack of air.

Where did this guy come from? Mars? Ji-Yoo thought as she stared up at who she assumed would be her husband for this show. Truth be told, she was way too concentrated on her rare treat to even see him coming. Even if she did see him coming, there was no way she would ever expect... this. Her eyes were wide with not only shock but frustration. She was mortified just by that question alone and hoped he would stop there.

He didn’t. The grown man got to his feet and continued to praise her looks like some kind of obsessed freak. By the time he introduced himself, she was out of breath and struggling to process it all. Too stunned to even move out of fear of expressing an expression that would look bad in front of the cameras and ruin her reputation. From the looks of it, the man who stood before her was definitely idol material. He was good looking and had such cute expressive eyes that bore deep into one's soul and hugged them. They were touching to her to the point where she couldn't tell whether she felt warm because he was staring at her so sweetly or because she was just too overwhelmed by the sudden development. Fans who would be watching from home sometime would definitely be squealing right about now. Most people dreamed of moments like these. Many would even laugh it this weirdo's behavior off as something adorable.

Ji-Yoo was not that person.

With great self control, she inwardly sighed and mustered up all her strength to introduce herself to him properly. Setting the popcorn and her purse aside on the seat next to hers, Ji-Yoo got to her feet and bent at the waist, bowing to him politely. Her indifferent expression coupled with her leader's expensive dress made her seem like the very picture of elegance. Contrasting that image were her thoughts that complained wholeheartedly. What did he say to call him? Honey? Did she mind if he took a seat beside her? This man was dreaming. Yes, she minded. She minded so much, she wished she could have him sit elsewhere in an entirely different theater.

"Lee Hoon-ssi? Are you also an idol? It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Ahn Ji-Yoo. I hope we'll get along." Somehow she was able to pull the corners of her lips back into a small polite smile before gesturing towards his seat. "Of course you can sit." It's your seat, isn't it? Once again she sat down and picked up the popcorn on the side, turning back to him and offering it to him. "The movie will start soon. I hope you don't mind popcorn." Reluctantly, she also pulled out the second unopened bag of chips from her purse and showed it to him. "I also have chips if my choice isn't to your liking."

✵ 나는 너의 영혼에 불이되는 법을 배울 것이다.
I will learn to be the Fire in your Soul.

Was it enough? To give her a single gift when she so clearly deserved them all. It was just like him, however, to doubt his gifts after he had spent money on them. A sort of buyers remorse but in this case he wished he had bought her more. Wished he had spent less time on picking a simple bracelet than getting her a set, earrings, a necklace, etc. It eased the nervousness that had tangled itself like a web around his stomach, and all she had to do was smile.

A feeling he'd never felt go away in the presence of a single person, crowds of various sizes did more to ease SungHo's anxiety. If he were to quote any movie to match the situation, The Great Gatsby would certainly do it, in the words of Jordan 'He throws large parties and I like large parties, they're just so intimate. Small parties, there isn't any privacy'. She was never more correct. Only in auditions was he alone with others, any other occasion he was surrounded by people, those helping him or those showing their appreciation for his talent or music. To be alone was to sleep in his own bed, wondering for seconds what he'd do to have another body next to him, by the minute he'd sleep and forget he ever had a thought like that when the morning came. Being alone worked for him, but it was slipping away from him by the second, all lost the moment those lips told him.. a pun?

His own content frown loosened, a smile tugging at his cheeks watching her, he would've passed it off as a slip up and ignored it, but the smile trying to come loose from her rosy lips told him otherwise. She had meant to do it. Something he didn't expect from her, a singer who truth be told came off as bitter. He was wrong to believe the stories about her personality, everyone had masks. This Ji Yeon was different than the Ji Yeon her fans saw, and in a way SungHo took it as an honor to see her for how she is. That alone, made him comfortable.

Were the other dates going this easily? Course the situation was still awkward, there was no way to not make it uncomfortable for both parties. It was being set up on a blind date by managers who knew as little about you as you knew of them. Not a close friend. And this date was a marriage.

~

He couldn't remember when he had stopped watching the light frame her face, perhaps it was the fact he had never been in this cafe. The decor was simple and rather welcoming for having very little on the walls. Eyes shifted to the bar ahead of him where employees ran to and fro making drinks and setting them on tables for their customers. It was only when he felt eyes on him that he returned his attention to Ji Yeon. If she had been talking to him, he wouldn't have been able to repeat what she said. For a moment it got him concerned, he didn't want to give her the impression that he saw her as boring. That was far from the case.

Releasing a soft 'ah' SungHo got the hint of what she wanted from him, perhaps she was just being polite in wanting him to put it on for her, as if she needed help. Maybe she, as much as him, wanted to close the space between them given by the square table they sat at. He did what she asked, taking the chain delicately between his fingers and worked at the clasp, partially struggling himself to get the two ends to connect. Finishing the task, he left the bracelet fall against her wrist as his right hand picked up hers and lifted it.

Her hand was soft, like the finest silk against his, it was the bracelet he was after. Ace gave a smile, a more open one since he arrived, silver was a nice complement for Yeon's skin. "It looks beautiful on you, so would everything I imagine" His smile faltered for a second as he released her hand, subconsciously reaching for the rose she had gotten him, pressing the rose against his lips as he breathed in the scent.

"Have you ordered yet? I've never been to this cafe so I'm not sure whats good. Maybe one of everything." Though his voice didn't change to show he was making a snarky comment, he happened to make himself chuckle at the thought and the horror of the waiters to make everything on the menu, would they have a big enough table? He would be more formal, but he was comfortable, pleasantly so with Ji Yeon. As awkward as the date still was, SungHo was expecting way worse of a time. This was nice.

"Thank you." Mina whispered as he held open the door, climbing into the car,. She looked up at the camera, instantly smiling and waving for it, "Hello," She spoke softly.

"Mm.. I don't really have a preference? Maybe somewhere foreign? Like a Japanese steakhouse?"

At the words she glanced at him, "Oh! I was born in 97. I'm 22 now. How old are you?" She turned to the camera again, watching in slight fascination as it started to move a bit to focus on him. As an idol you would think she was used to it, and she was in a sense, but it still felt weird to her sometimes.

She turned the radio up to a soft volume so he could talk freely but there was also a little ambiance to fill any silence to come. "You can't be much older or younger then me? I think we're close in age. You look really young though."

it seemed like they were in every drama she had ever watched or starred in. her hands gripped her whiteboard tightly as he literally dropped everything he had in his hands and closed the distance between. holy jesus, this is next level flirting. the whiteboard and marker were removed from her hands and soon the model's face was cupped between the hands of kangmin as he looked at her. she felt like her heart was literally going to explode from the contact, even though she had done the same things minutes earlier.

her face flushed underneath his touch and she just squeezed the material of her jacket in her gloved hands, not daring to look or pull away. when her name was spoken, she really couldn't believe it. honestly speaking, she just wanted to take her scarf and goggles off and be done with everything, but she couldn't. something in her immediately made her shake her head and cutely punch his arm a few times, as if he had guessed wrongly.

yerin only nodded her head at the suggestion of a race and picked up her snowboard, feeling the urge to win. now she really didn't want to show who she was. if she did, he would be mad that she made it seem like he guessed wrong. still, the silver-haired woman made her way through the crowds in order to get to the start of the run. her mind was practically buzzing as she set the board down to get ready to go down.

she hadn't had a chance to snowboard all that much during the winter months, so she was worried that she'd lose really easily. once she made sure that her boots were down correctly and kangmin was either ready or almost ready, she found herself pulling her scarf down enough to childishly stick her tongue out him and head down the mountain first. it was really thrilling, going down the mountain and passing through the various people skiing and snowboarding. she really enjoyed it in all honesty.

still, yerin was in disbelief. she didn't know how or why she had been paired with kangmin, it was just unfathomable. she had mentioned him in an interview before the start of the show, but she didn't think it would mean anything. it was just about her ideal type and people she thought were attractive. she had thrown out a lot of actors and idols, so she was shocked that the guy who had been her high school crush was the guy she was going to be 'married' to for a show. fate was really weird but she liked it.

봄 같은 미소를 짓게 해주고파
I wanna make you smile like the Spring

Dae was having a good time, even if it was their first date and first meeting, he was enjoying it wholeheartedly. While he had waited for her to arrive it did pop in his head that there was a possibility they wouldn't get along. Less than an hour with someone didn't necessarily mean their marriage would be a failure, but it also didn't mean that they'd get along splendidly either. All it took was a little faith, and lately faith was all he needed.

Cheeks burnt themselves red as his accent was complimented, even called cute! He's been told that before dealing with his group members and his fans, receiving gifts and letters telling him to be confident in his voice. Coming from Yu-na who was to become his wife, it meant a little more than it seemed to the male.

The small keychain was placed in his hand and the sight of it brought the widest smile to the Idol's face, it was cute. A little bunny with beady eyes and small ears, this one was holding a plump strawberry. Going as far as shaking his head once a gift of something better was brought up, now that he had been given it, she wasn't taking it back. "No, I love it. It's really great. Thank you."

He would never admit it and his members tried so hard to get him to spill, but he loved gifts as much as a child did on Christmas. It made him giddy, as if he had received a love letter from his crush. Having nothing on to attach it with, DaeHyun searched his pockets for something to keep it safe with. Having forgotten about the cameras already, the male hooked it onto one of his earrings, as it was a small enough silver hook and the keychain weighed little to nothing.

The keychain dangled happily against his neck, making an even happier DaeHyun if his little silly trick landed him a laugh. Turning his head dramatically to show his wife once she had given her name, a wide smile he couldn't wide adorned his face. "Does it look good on me?"

oh—had he been thinking of the wrong person? kangmin could only chuckle sheepishly as he held the part of his arm she'd hit. he was feeling slightly embarrassed, not to mention really terribly bad about getting his partner's identity wrong. how was he going to look her in the eyes after that? and who was it really? kangmin was dying to know.

kangmin put his helmet and goggles on, because she'd still accepted his challenge of having a race—maybe she was just as competitive as her, if not more. he was watching her as he strapped into his snowboard, just in time for her to stick out her tongue and begin to slide down the mountain. ah, so that was how it was going to be. there was no way he could be mad at her for doing that, because he thought it was just so unfairly cute whenever she did anything. he was smiling as he finished getting ready, and also began to descend the hill.

he picked up speed very quickly, catching up to the actress and poking his tongue out equally childishly when he managed to just pass her. from that point onwards, he stayed by her side, keeping a safe distance between them, but with his body facing hers. he'd never been on this particular mountain before, but it wasn't as bumpy or curvy as some others, so he thought it was comfortable. easy. kangmin wanted to win, and he was sure that he could if he focused. when she sped up, he sped up, even adding a few ollies for flair. but other than that, he just watched over her, and made sure she wasn't going to fall. she didn't look like a beginner or anything; she was good, but it was just a habit he'd picked up, most likely from looking after his little sisters in australia.

the soloist could feel his nervousness return when he saw that they were almost at the bottom of the slope, so much so that he almost forgot to speed up... but just as he'd hoped, he reached the end first. kangmin stood to the side and unstrapped himself from his snowboard, then took off his goggles and helmet again. it was only then that he realised it was starting to snow. it felt like he'd been thrust into some romantic movie. so, this was what the main leads in those dramas felt. it was some stupidly great timing, and as he waited for his wife to come to him, he stared in wonder at the beautiful scenery around him, white crystals falling. he was about to find out who his wife was. in this setting. it couldn't have been any more perfect, and he couldn't feel any more flustered about it.

song yu-na

"i'd follow you to hell and back."

Yu-Na was happy that he enjoyed the small gift, his smile as bright as the stars as he thanked her. She mirrored him, giving him the biggest smile she possibly could. He was, for lack of better words, precious. She stared in disbelief as he clipped the keychain onto his earring, watching as it swung wildly around as he moved his head from side to side. For a second, she stood there, almost frozen, before bursting out into a fit of giggles.

She covered her mouth as she doubled over, soft gasps of air escaping every so often. It wasn't even that funny, but the look on his face was what caused her to lose it. She wasn't even thinking about the cameras, or the fact that people were staring as her lungs began to burn and her head hurt from the lack of oxygen.

After about a minute or so, Yu-Na was able to calm down and take a few deep breaths. She stood up straight, her lips tilted into a joyous smile. A few tears had escaped and fell onto her cheeks from laughing so hard, but she didn't particularly mind. Taking a few swipes to get them off, she shook her head at the man.

"I can't- I can't believe you did that... I haven't laughed that hard in a while! God, my lungs hurt." She admitted, rubbing the back of her neck. She liked him already, from his personality, to his looks, he seemed nearly perfect. Yu-Na had an inkling feeling that she knew him, but she couldn't seem to place him anywhere. Even though she was a very curious person, it didn't really bother her to not know. She decided that she would ask him later, after their date.

Reaching out, she gently took his hand in hers. "Let's go explore, yeah?" She didn't wait for an answer as she already began to walk, pulling him behind her. As far as she remembered, the Aquarium held all sorts of species insides its walls, and she was excited to see all of them.

Yu-Na walked into the next room, holding quite a bit more than the first room. She beelined to the first tank she saw, absently letting go of DaeHyun's hand as she focused solely on the fish. They were golden and nearly transparent, though they still shined like the brightest of suns. She was transfixed on their beauty as they swam around, some fighting each other, others awkwardly flapping their fins. Yu-Na loved them already.

As the song began, Haneul thought that it was a dream to be doing a song with Dice. His music always got her moving and dancing. As they performed together, it was obvious they made a good team in this area, so how would their married life be? When she was performing alone, he hype her up or get the crowd going whenever he’d put his spin on the song. Yet almost every time they made eye contact or passed each other Dice would get a bit too flirty, but she quickly let it go since it was a common thing for those in the US to do. Sure, she was born in raised mainly in the states, but she wasn’t used to this kind of treatment even when she was an actress there. When the song had finally ended the cheers from the audience filled the place, Haneul was thanking her fans for coming out to watch her.

“I’m so happy to have you all come out here tonight, but I plan to focus now on my upcoming role for a drama as well as my new life on ‘We Got Married’. I hope to release an album-,” Haneul was cut short the moment she felt a pair of lips press up against her cheek causing her eyes to widen in shook as well as her cheeks to turn a shade of pink out of embarrassment. Backstage, Jooha almost collapsed to the floor seeing the kiss happen on the big screen for fans to see. This was not what he expected especially since there was no way he could stop this from getting out. Getting a grip on her composure, Haneul again thanked her fans once more before exiting the stage with Dice to the DJ booth. As they were waiting in the booth for most of the crowd to clear out, Dice began making conversation with her. “I’m used to weird since that comes with acting, but a surprised kiss on the cheek was completely out of left field.” She replied, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear that had fallen out of place, after pulling off her beret.

With the removal of her glasses, the mention of a kiss on the lips is what made her look at him and shake her head. “Way to soon to be thinking about that.” After finishing what she had to say, Haneul walked down from the booth to the area in front of the stage that was fenced off, but allowed fans who had remained to meet with her. Knowing he was just being friendly, she nodded her head towards him at the mention of going to speak with the fans. As fans came up, she spoke with each one for a few minutes as well as sign anything they had for her before moving on to the next one. Signing a fans album for them, she heard Dice compliment her that made her spin around to look at him in shock once more, he was being nice but it seemed that she had to say something.

After finishing with the last fan after about thirty minutes, Haneul began walking with Dice to her waiting room where Jooha was waiting to give her her next schedule. Not wanting to put off, she turned her head towards the younger male. “Please be a bit more mindful of your surroundings. I know you’re a bit more lax, but remember things here are not the same in the States.” She knew that she may have been a bit stern with him just now, which made her regret the words that slipped out, but she really didn’t know how to be around guys who were openly flirty.

예쁜 말 모두 모아서 따다 주고 싶은데
I want to pick and gather all the pretty words for you

When Ji Yoo rose onto her feet, Honey impetuously had taken a single step back from his spot and from her. It wasn't out of caution or convenience, but out of shyness. Wasn't it funny that someone as forward, outspoken and affectionate as Lee Honey was also a self-conscious person? The fact that she, Ji Yoo, was a very beautiful young woman and member of a girl group whose career he loosely followed, only made it worst. The one thing that gave him some sort of semblance of comfort was the dim lighting, hiding his surely red-painted cheeks. He could feel the warmth in his face, but he ignored it and returned her bow politely, careful not to drop the drinks in his hands, and followed her lead, sitting back in the seat she allowed him to sit in. Even if it already was his seat, Honey had forgotten that the moment he laid eyes on the blonde girl.

If there was another thing he was grateful for about the location of their date, it was the very fact that it was a movie date. It didn't give them room to talk until after the film was over, but it gave them just a bit of time to learn to be within each other's company. Now, it was awkward and polite, but later it would change into something Honey hoped to be fun and sweet. They were only spending just a few hours together now but later, they would be spending months on end together, regardless if it was for filming and their own opportunities that came with this show, Honey hoped to at least make a friend out this project. And he hoped that she felt the same. He didn't have friends as pretty a Ji Yoo.

With a small nod of his head, Honey answered her question in one swoop. "It's nice to meet you Ji Yoo-ssi. I am an idol, I suppose I have the total idol look, huh?" The blonde chuckled quietly. Of course, he did. He wasn't very tall, but the few people who glanced at him could tell right off the bat that he was an idol. He wondered if most people knew -- if she knew because he had the look or because he was recognizable him. He doubted it simply because the look in her eyes had said she was seeing his face for the first time.

"Ah!" Honey perked up at the sight of the popcorn and butter chips both. Shy or not, he was still Lee Hoon who got excited over the smallest but still most thoughtful details. The corners of his mouth curved and formed the softest, yet brightest, smile that could be seen even in the low lighting of the room they sat in. "I love popcorn and honey butter chips, I'm a good eater. I hardly ever complain, I promise you. And you have excellent taste." His grin grew despite himself.

He was then reminded of the drinks in his hand. "Oh! I got us drinks. I didn't know what you'd like, so I got ice water and sprite." He raised the drinks in his hands to make their presence clear. He set down the first cup in the cup holder before pulling the cup of churros from his arm. "I bought churros too. I hope you like them."

NA JI YEON
OUTFIT: HERE || Tag: @Leucothea

널 바라보네 두근대는 마음 모르게
I’m looking at you, with a pounding heart, without knowing ...

It was a given that in the process of fixing the bracelet onto her wrist, the two of them would come into skin contact. But each accidental and light brush of his fingers and knuckles against the skin of her wrist left her feeling lighter than usual. The reasoning behind it could have been a plethora of reasons. Embarrassment, shyness, nervousness, excitement, or all four of those emotions combine could have been on the list of reasons. She couldn't help but glance at SungHo each time they came into contact, but the man seemed to be having more trouble with the piece of jewelry than Ji Yeon had with one single hand. And for a moment, that had put her at more ease. Watching him try was endearing until he finally clasped it on correctly and took her hand.

Ji Yeon had been near ripping her hand from his and setting it in her lap, hiding it from sight. But, she refrained from doing so as it would have been rude and bad for her already cold image. The thought had only crossed her mind because sitting there with her hand in man's as handsome as SungHo left her feeling ... different. She had held other male idols hands before, but none of whom she was to display a romantic relationship with. Or maybe she felt that way because SungHo gripping her hand softly had pulled her from her short stupor of admiring the sweet traits of his that had already been revealed. Either way, his genuine sounding compliments did nothing to make her feel better.

"Thank you," Ji Yeon glanced at her wrist rather than his face just to have an excuse to look anywhere but his face. Though under normal circumstances, she would likely be making excuses just to see his face. She was not going to blush. Ji Yeon wasn't a blusher, regardless if she felt slightly warm in the face. Indirectly, he had called her pretty and Ji Yeon figured she would never be that smooth. It did not mean that she wouldn't try. She was a witty young woman, after all, it was clear to her that SungHo must have been too, just by his perfect choice of words and how he strung them together.

Somehow, his suggestion had pried a smile from Ji Yeon and her embarrassment was momentarily forgotten. She had to hide the dorky grin on her lips behind her hand as she peered at the table instead of his face. It was honestly quite a silly joke to laugh at, more so when she wasn't entirely sure if he was serious or not. It did not change the comical image of the chef busying themselves in the kitchen while the other waiters and waitresses pushed together tables to form a larger table and present their many meals. It was quite the masterpiece, one that Ji Yeon could laugh at with ease. She resisted doing so and instead took his words seriously.

Resting her hand on her lap, Ji Yeon played with the silver chain thoughtfully. "I've never had anything here before. I waited for you to come before ordering anything." Temporarily, she raised her hands and slid over the menu that was hidden underneath her elbow "I'll have half of what you order, I'm sure with our two stomachs together, we could finish the whole menu and more." Ji Yeon smirked quietly.

"I never get to have anything sweet because of diets. So, I want something sweet to drink and eat this time. " It was an honest answer. And she was sure this show would give her the break and luxury of eating what she pleased. Not to mention, she had forgotten about her manager the second she was with sitting with SungHo.

봄 같은 미소를 짓게 해주고파
I wanna make you smile like the Spring

She was cute, he had to admit it. The reaction he had gotten out of her only solidified the happiness DaeHyun felt in his chest. Expecting far less than what he got in response, her fit of giggles had him both excited and concerned. She had hunched over a bit, and her giggles became less of a sound and more of the action without noise, similar to a runner out of breath and that brought the worry.

His hands instinctively reached out to her, stopping halfway as his face softened from concern. He'd be able to catch her if she fell or lost consciousness, two options he hoped wouldn't happen. The smile returned to his face, taking a more soft place of contentment as Yu-Na corrected herself. She was alright.
DaeHyun shifted slightly, feeling the small keychain touch his neck once more. To it's own dismay it was ignored as the idol watched his wife wipe the tears from her eyes, it was a wonder to think he'd done something so simple but the reaction was one of genuine happiness. It lifted the male's spirits, he'd have an easy time making her smile and in reality it was mostly what he wanted to do. A husband's job was to make his significant other happy, even if this marriage was nothing more than a show, he promised himself he'd try.
It wasn't long before one of his hands was taken and the two of them wandered down the hall to the next wide exhibit. He let her lead as much as she wanted, trailing behind her with little care for where they were going, he'd follow her anywhere at this point. Brown eyes scanned everything they could from every fish to every fact about them hanging on the walls.
DaeHyun gave a content sigh, slowing down to a snails pace once his hand had gotten released, not that he wanted it to. It was a nice thing, holding hands. Kept the other close and made it more personal, he couldn't be mad about it either, she wanted to see everything as much as he did. Caring little for the camera crew moving a bit closer to the couple.
Even if he didn't mean to, DaeHyun found himself inching closer to Yu-Na with every step around the area. Being as carefree and protective as a boyfriend would, separated just enough to give her the space she deserved to look around as she wanted; close enough to stop anything before it would come her way. They had just met so the need to be protective wasn't really there, but as he got more attached to his show wife the more that protectiveness would arise. It was bound to happen anyways.
"Very beautiful" He notioned, hands fixing themselves into the pockets of his jacket as he stared wide eyed at the orange fish that fluttered about in their environment. Not wanting to make a fool of himself and say something foolish, DaeHyun drew in his bottom lip and held onto it for short moments while he read the black and silver plaque which held the information. "Oh, they mate for life." it was a small comment, and frankly he was fine with just remaining silent, between the sight of the fish and a glance every so often at Yu-Na, it was certainly enough to keep the Idol busy without the need for conversation.
