If Evangelion is the deconstructor of giant robot shows Megas XLR is the DEMOLISHER! It centers around Megas, a prototype robot stolen from an alien race and sent back in time to hopefully turn the tide for the human race in a future war that sees them on the brink of destruction. One problem. The robot wound up in the possession of an overweight, New Jersey gearhead named Coop who took the robot, slapped a 1973 convertible where the head was, and made it his own robot. The creators intentionally poke fun at the stereotypes of giant robot shows. Voltron, Transformers, Gundam. Not even Sailor Moon is safe. Here's a quick overview of the series. Also, Coop is damn near a shoe in to be an Ork. Practically every episode he tends to shout 'WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!' in combat.
