They were never supposed to meet, they all had different lives, living in different timelines despite all of them sharing a spirit and a common enemy. So, when eight young men/boys suddenly appeared and were looking for the hero...Link was kind of suspicious, more so when they had told him that they were the heroes of old. However, all Link wants to do is tend to his research and his travels. Not to go on some other quest to save the kingdom from evil and be dragged along wherever the portals decide to drop them.
The idea is inspired by JoJo's Linked Universe where the others meet Link from Breath of the Wild, but with a twist. Unlike the ending of Breath of the Wild, Zelda from that timeline had passed on much like the champions, due to the sheer energy to hold back the Calamity while Link was healing, but not before passing along the triforce of Wisdom onto Link, so when the other hero's appear, they are taken back by the sheer destruction of Hyrule, along with trying to get used to this brand new Link whose only a few months done with saving the kingdom and wanting no more to do with the whole 'saving the world.' but he might not have the chance, given that the darkness not only threats his world but the others as well.
