Media in Signatures

So, I may or may not be being an idiot here (highly likely), and I do fear I may have answered my own question, but why are videos not allowed in signatures? Or, more accurately, why is the video I put in my signature not appearing? I suspect this may have something with accessibility for those with slower connections, but YouTube doesn't load until you press play? Anyways, I'm just confused. Thank you for answering in advance <3

We are trying to find ways to make Iwaku more mobile friendly since the world has decided to use phones and tablets more often than computers. O_O Even if the video isn't auto playing, it still takes time to load up that little flash box player. So siggies don't allow videos and only have one image. And that at least helps reduce a liiiittle bit of loading time, so we don't have to limit things in posts themselves.
