The year is 2026. It has been three years since the people of Earth defeated Thanos. Since then, it has become apparent that people with superpowers are becoming more numerous. The Governments of Earth, as a rule are becoming more uncomfortable with citizens who have superpowers. The Sokovia Accords are in place and signed by nearly all governments. Recruitment of enhanced humans has become an arms race of sorts. “Recruiters” representing governments, and all sorts of private enterprises are out in the field looking for new “assets”.
There are however plenty of people who believe that people regardless of powers deserve the same freedoms everyone else lays claim to. Among them there are people from all walks of life and all power levels. The characters in our story are destined to be a group. Not X-men, not Avengers, they are to be what comes next.
I won’t go into details about who our bad guys are yet. Suffice it to say our opening act will be somewhat confusing for our characters at first, and maybe more than a little chaotic. It is the intention to build a group of heroes. A team concerned with doing the right thing. One that may not want to have bright colorful costumes with capes that might do things that may not even be considered heroic in the eyes of some (i.e. X-Force, Secret Avengers).
When making characters, our story-line is not appropriate for the top tier characters; we're looking for a happy medium, powerful but not over the top. I will do my best to make sure that every character will have a niche. Everyone wants to be "the best at what they do. Initially, this is one character per player, until we hit our stride then we will revisit that and make a determination then.

This campaign requires characters who only recently came into regular use of their abilities, regardless of how long they may have had them. Original characters are allowed, as well as canon characters, alternate versions, gender-swapped, etc. insomuch as it makes sense and fits the requested power level. Characters of a higher power level will be asked to scale back their abilities to fit the bill or will be turned away.

Feel free to post Character sheets here and I'll transfer them later to a Character sheet post.

Greer Grant aka Tigra
Greer Grant, aka Tigra, derives her powers from a couple of sources. She was adventuring without powers, per se and was attacked by a strange radioactive ray by HYDRA. In an attempt to save her life, the Cat People (a group of people magically evolved from cats) saved her life and allowed her to transform into a werecat. It is widely assumed, however, she is a mutant, and to an extent she is. The radioactivity should have killed her right away so It is theorized that her X-Gene activated then and the healing factor began working.

When the magical transformation was done on Greer, she became far more powerful than an average Cat Person. This magical transformation got the attention of Doctor Stephen Strange, who assessed both her abilities and strength of character before determining he was going to allow her to keep the amulet that causes her transformation. She knew him for about a year before the "Blip", during which time she was among those assumed lost, returning five years later with Doctor Strange and the others.

In her human form, Tigra is 5'8, fit but thin, and a brunette with brown eyes. In her cat form, she is 5'10" with orange fur with black stripes, orange hair, and green eyes with horizontal pupils.

Feline Physiology: Tigra's feline physiology grants her a number of superhuman physical capabilities.

Superhuman Strength: Tigra possesses superhuman strength sufficient to lift about 10 tons, enough force to deform a 1 inch thick steel bar with ease. Her physical strength also extends, to a lesser degree, to her powerful leg muscles allowing her to perform a standing jump of 12 feet in height.

Superhuman Speed: Tigra can run and move at speeds superior to that of even the finest human athlete. Her powerful leg muscles and superhumanly strong bone composition enable her to reach speeds up to 60 miles per hour over short distances.

Superhuman Stamina: Tigra's advanced musculature produces considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human. She can physically exert herself at peak capacity for about 24 hours before the build up of fatigue toxins in her blood begins to impair her.

Superhuman Durability: Tigra's bodily tissues are much harder and more resistant to physical injury than those of an ordinary human. Her body is able to withstand great impact forces and blunt trauma that would severely injure or kill a normal human, though she is far from invulnerable.

Superhuman Agility: Tigra's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. She can perform complex gymnastics routines with little effort.

Superhuman Reflexes: Her reflexes are similarly enhanced and are superior to those of the finest human athlete.

Regenerative Healing Factor: If Tigra is injured, she is capable of regenerating damaged tissues faster than an ordinary human. She can heal injuries as severe as broken bones within a matter of hours. She is unable to regenerate missing limbs, organs, or brain cells.

Superhuman Senses: Tigra's senses are about ten times as keen as an average human's, and about five times that of an average cat's. Tigra's eyesight extends into the infrared portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. She has superhuman visual acuity. Her vertically-slit pupils allow a greater range of vision above and below her, which allows her to more easily detect the movements of an opponent. Tigra's hearing is sufficiently acute as to detect a sound pressure level change from 4 decibels to 6 dB at a range of 40 feet. With her highly developed sense of smell, she can selectively sort through various odors so as to follow a quarry's trail. She can detect subtle alterations in the composition of perspiration that reflect mood or emotions, and is highly sensitive to pheromones.

Fangs and Claws: Tigra's fangs and claws are extremely sharp and tough, enabling her to rend through a variety of substances including flesh, bone, wood, stone, and some types of metals. .

EDITED: To fit the timeline better and to make her "newer" at her powers, at @Gands request.

Fullbody Walker.png
Name: Walker Roydon Grey
Alias: Red Cloak
Age: 23
Appearance: Walker stands at 5'11'' and has a small frame that is meant to be light and flexible. Broad shoulders and bulging muscles do not define him, but his entire body is toned and defined. His hair is brown and curly, but the ends of his hair are white. He has pale white skin that makes him look sickly and his eyes lack pupils. They are only voids of a pretty hazel color.

History
Walker is not from this time or even world. He is the equivalent of a human in every way in terms of physiology, but before his planet would learn to use magic or make weaponry he had inherited his powers from the goddess of shadows his people worshiped. He spent years of his life training in the ways of ninjitsu to compete in sacrificial combat. He excelled at what he did and when it came time to compete he dressed in ceremonial garbs, covering his entire body including his face, and faced his opponent who pointed their blade toward him. The fight went back and forth for minutes before Walker was successful in landing a killing blow, but the sound of the gurgling voice on the end frightened him. He stripped the mask from his opponent's body to uncover his lover.

Before he could even grip her any tighter his entire world had turned dark as he faced the faun with gorgeous black fur and pale skin. Her antlers framed her sakura colored hair wonderfully as she stepped out of the shadows. Her hands gracefully scooped up the blood of Walker's love and poured it over his head creating the living cloak he now wears. She then took his left arm and against his struggling and cursing allowed her magic to course through his body. Afterwards, he ran into the darkness, he ran, and ran, trying to escape all of it and when he finally broke through the darkness he had arrived in New York City.

Walker has since used his abilities to learn English and help others. As he helped others he got to understand the powers that were given to him more. Today he can speak at a conversational level, but is no closer to understanding how he ended up in this new world.

Shadow Walker:
As an envoy of the Goddess of Shadows, the elusive Yun, Walker is able to move through her shadows. In addition, Walker does not cast shadows when holding items or himself. To "shadow walk" Walker must access another object's shadow that is large enough for his body to fit through, he can partially go through this shadow, but it would do him no good. Walker does not instantly transport he is moved into a realm where there is only darkness, but using his ability to sense shadows he can find where other items in the world around him are and (depending on their shape) know what they are. Using these sensed shadows Walker can exit this realm at a new location, but only via a shadow.

Self-Functioning:
Walker's body no longer needs sustenance or oxygen in order to survive making him a deadly assassin. His body feeds off of nearby sources of shadow. Sitting in the shade will recover puncture or bruising that is not fatal beyond that he would need to run to the dark realm to heal. His healing period, being aided by a goddess, is quicker, but only proportionately. A break would take four weeks compared to the normal six for instance.

Mimicry:
Walker naturally can mimic language, gesture, and combat techniques. Using his power of shadow he can cement this knowledge within a week as if he had been doing it for years. This becomes harder if he tries to do so using a shadow as sometimes the shadow of a person is skewed or distorted.

Peak Human Condition:
  • Walker can lift up to 950 kg. His striking strength could break through 6 layers of stone with a direct hit or 1 layer of up to 2 inch thick iron.
  • He can survive large explosions, but they will still damage him and most likely incapacitate him.
  • Walker can react to automatic fire from weapons with a fire rate of less than 11 shots per second.
  • Walker can move at a casual 20 miles per hour, but his full on sprint reaches 35 miles per hour.
  • He can keep a sprint's pace indefinitely.

When The Sun Goes Down:
  1. During night-time or in places devoid of light other than that produced by the moon Walker is at super-human speed and can willingly teleport.
    1. At his new location a spiral of shadow will build up his body silently and quickly. His new speed could easily keep pace with a car on a road up to 50mph.
  2. Walker's body is immune to physical attacks.
  3. Grabbing someone with Walker's left arm long enough for him to spit out his true name will blind them and turn their whole world dark. The only thing they will be able to see is the blinding sigil of a laughing sun. This sigil actually represents Walker's current location in the world and dissapears with line of sight. To clear the condition light has to be shined in both eyes separately within 5 seconds in between at minimum. After that they must rinse their eyes out to reveal a black mist leaving them. This will cause a twinge of pain no stronger than a pinch.
[\SPOILER]

Enemy of The Sun:
Concentrating large sources of lights on Walker keep him from being able to use his powers (with the exception of his self-sustenance as this is his new physiology). The light would have to be focused on him so harmless things like lasers are actually not harmless to him and sap him of his power briefly almost like a taser. At night time small amounts of light like lasers are not enough to stop him.

During the night his body becomes immune to physical attacks, but in return magical, astral, psychic attacks that deal in light, and other worldly weaponry that weaponize light deal double damage to him. Good thing the green lantern corp doesn't exist here... right?

Devout:
Walker's god is the goddess of shadows, the elusive Yun, whose motives serve to aide those in need. She is a kind and motherly figure, but entirely silent. Things that she believes will harm Walker she may opt to disrupt his abilities to prevent him from acting. Likewise if he tries to use his abilities for selfish desires she will not aide him in his quest and strip him of his power. She is a tall faun, standing at 6'5'' and with long straight bleach pink hair that runs down to her thighs. Her arms are covered in an eternal blackness meanwhile her legs are those of a deer with black fur. She has a crown of white antlers that add another 5 inches to her height.

Cues:
Walker's eyes give away when he is using magic or gaining the power of the night. They turn completely black for a moment. Blinding him during these times will inhibit his transport or the abilities he gains at night until he regains his vision. In addition, Walker does not bleed, when he is hurt to a point that would cause bleeding he instead leaks out a black mist that extends up to 1 foot (depending on the damage) upwards if he is stationary or 1 foot (regardless of the damage) in the opposite direction he is moving.

Contact:
In order for Walker to successfully disable an opponent using his left arm, where the tattoo of his true name is covered in bandaging, he must have skin to skin contact using his left arm. It should also be noted that his true name's length spans the entirety of his forearm, going in a circle around it. This is not a quick maneuver.

Ninjitsu:
Walker is trained in the art of killing, seduction, thievery, and sabotage. He was originally intended to serve surrounding kingdoms in wars as a heavenly warrior, but now he is in New York trying to figure out why everyone is eating so much pizza. Walker does not specialize in long drawn out fights, they are his enemy, he prefers to jump an enemy and exchange blows. If in those exchanges he does not landing a crippling blow he is entering a dangerous territory.
  1. Walker excels with throwing knives and spears. They are trademark weapons for him. He of course is taught how to use the sword, but it is not his MO.
  2. Walker's fighting style closely resembles boxing oddly enough. It does not emphasize flexibility, but rather striking power and precision hits in both the form of kick and punches.
  3. In terms of equipment Walker can make smoke bombs and terrorist level devices. He is a dangerous trapper and the most equipment he will carry will most likely be smoke bombs; the rest of it he probably already placed down if he had it.
  4. Walker has no experience with modern locks, but mechanical locks are nothing for him. Even if they make themselves look big and fancy if Walker can determine the mechanism before him is not managed by a computer, he can pick it.
College Level Education: Engineering/Linguist
Walker may not know all there is to earth, but he is a decent enough graduate and can apply the principles of design from his world to this one. Aided with his ability to mimic he is actually a decent inventor, but only a supplemental one. His real power resides in his ability to learn language. Even before his powers he had to be able to decode messages written in other languages to relay information to his employers.

I really want to do a genderbent Iron Man, but I'm not sure she'd fit the tone and power level of the game, so my second option would be someone like the Midnighter. Any advice/opinion, @Gands ?

It’s not my call, but there is a version of Iron Man that is not as OP however they are essentially still Iron Man. You could genderbend them?

I was more thinking about an alt-universe, aged up version of Morgan Stark. Maybe sent back in time to take up her father's mantle. This might lead to all kinds of weirdness involving her mom and her tween self.

There is also the Marvel character Iron heart. I favor an Iron Man-ish character. You can bend, alter or create from whole cloth a new armored person trying to take up the armored mantle of one Tony Stark. If you run a version of Morgan, how and why would her armor not be as good or better than her fathers, and thus overpowered for our game?

Please remember part of this game will be having Young characters who have had powers or enhanced anything for long.

ShiroKiyoshi, has Red cloak had his powers for long? What civil war does his background talk about ?

Thanks for the reply. I'll think of an armoured character that doesn't directly inherit Stark's armour. Ironheart was a great concept but kinda poorly written, so I'll take some ideas from it but go in a different direction.

In fact, that actually works better for the kind of character I'd like to play - someone who isn't beholden to the Stark legacy directly, but draws inspiration from Tony. I'll put up a sheet soon!

Real Name: Gwendolyne Maxine Stacy
Birthdate: September 23rd, 2007
Age: 20
Codename (if any): Spider Woman, Ghost Spider
Nicknames: Gwenny, Gwenzelle, Spidey, Gwennie the Pooh
Height: 5’5”
Weight: 125 lbs
Meta-abilities:
Gwen's powers were similar to those of Peter Parker of the Prime Marvel Universe, after a Radioactive Spider -- genetically engineered by Cindy Moon based upon the genetic template of alien spider parasites -- bit her, granting superhuman strength, speed, toughened flesh, and numerous arachnid-like abilities. Spider Woman, Spider Woman, does whatever a spider can! After a giant nuclear powered 8 legged spider attacked her friends and her city, and she beat it up. But it sank its fangs into her arm before it died. But she shrugged it off, and then went on to save the world from all the supermonsters. Yeah, that’s a thing that happened. (Edit: That isn’t actually a thing that happened. She was bitten on the hand by a radioactive/enhanced spider). Her powers include:
  • Wall-Crawling: Gwen's exposure to the mutated spider venom induced a mutagenic, cerebellum-wide alteration of her engrams resulting in the ability to mentally control the flux of inter-atomic attraction (electrostatic force) between molecular boundary layers. This overcomes the outer electron shell's normal behavior of mutual repulsion with other outer electron shells and permits the tremendous potential for electron attraction to prevail. The mentally controlled sub-atomic particle responsible for this has yet to be identified. This ability to affect the attraction between surfaces is so far limited to Gwen's body (especially concentrated in her hands and feet) and another object, with an upper limit of several tons per finger. Walks on walls, yo.
  • Superhuman Strength: Gwen possesses superhuman strength enabling her to press lift approximately 7 tons. More powerful than a locomotive.
  • Precognitive sense: When she is in direct danger, she can detect it early. It has been known to fail from time to time. Knows you’re coming for her before you know you’re coming for her.
  • Superhuman Speed: Gwen is capable of running and moving at speeds that are far beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. She is actually one of the quicker of the ‘Spider Totems’. Faster than a speeding bullet (not really, but super fast).
  • Superhuman Stamina: Gwen's advanced musculature produces less fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows her to exert herself physically for much longer periods of time before fatigue begins to impair her. “I can do this all day!”
  • Superhuman Durability: Gwen's body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. Her body is more resistant to impact forces than anything else. She can withstand great impacts, such as falling from a height of several stories or being struck by an opponent with super strength, that would severely injure or kill a normal human with little to no discomfort. Got thrown down from waaaaaay up, landed with just a little brain trauma! Thanks Toomes!
  • Superhuman Agility: Gwen's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are all enhanced to levels that are far beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. “I just want to daaaaance!” -Danny Sexbang, 2011
  • Superhuman Equilibrium: Gwen possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. She seems able to adjust her position by instinct, which enables her to balance herself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow. Looks awesome when she’s balancing on just her toes on top of a flagpole.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: Gwen's reflexes are similarly enhanced and are possibly about 40 times greater than those of an ordinary human. In combination with her spider-sense, the speed of her reflexes allows her to dodge almost any attack even gun fire if far enough. Dodging gunfire in bullet-time like Neo, bitches.
Weaknesses:
  • Her precognitive sense doesn’t always seem to be on point. It has been known to be unreliable. This is sometimes (not always) connected to her current emotional state.
  • Gwen isn’t as strong as some of her powered peers, in regards to raw strength.
  • She has a lot of self doubt about all of her decisions, and usually just asks someone to make decisions for her. This self doubt can almost come to a point of being crippling.
  • Doesn’t have any formal fight training. Most all of her fighting knowledge comes from kung-fu movies.
  • Hates Eminem.
  • Cries with happiness when she listens to the OST to Braveheart.
  • Guilty pleasure music is David Gilmour (Solo works).
Skills:
  • Skilled Detective: Gwen has a proclivity for analytical thinking and detective work.] She is also the daughter of a police captain, thus she knows some police protocols and methods.
  • Musician: Gwen plays the drums with her band, The Mary Janes.
  • Skilled Fighter: Gwen is a skilled freestyle fighter. However she learned most of her moves from Kung-Fu movies, according to one of her critics, Gwen does not know how to throw a proper punch.
Equipment:
  • Web-Shooters: Given to Gwen by Janet Van Dyne. They trap moisture from the air to create a "web-fluid" that allows her to eject web ropes, nets, and globs.
  • Smartphone: Gwen's phone "contains her entire life."

I looked at the setting and saw Tigra so she looked like a good example to follow in terms of timeline and creating a character. He is around the time that Tony and Cap bumped heads over the accord.

Red Cloak in that sense has only been actively using his powers since that dispute was solved. So at maximum five to six years given our story. Sorry I should have clarified that.

Brief Bio: Nayat Sahakian was born in a cave outside of her family’s remote village in Eastern Turkey that was pillaged during the Hamidian massacres. The community including the Sahakians rebuild the settlement afterward. Growing up Nayat lived with her extended family who were known for their work in herding livestock. However, she was bit of a dreamer who longed to escape the remoteness of her village and the increasing brutality under the oppressive Ottomans.

Becoming fourteen years old Nayat’s mutant powers manifested when she stopped a falling rock that nearly crushed her one morning. Terrified yet fascinated by this power the herder’s daughter kept this as a secret to herself not wanting bring unwanted danger to the rest of the family. In 1915, second year of World War 1, Nayat’s life changed forever with the Armenian genocide. A criminal gang of Chete sanctioned by the Ottoman government fell upon the village in the dead of night while everyone was asleep. The horrific slaughter that followed would haunt Nayat from then on.

Watching her family and neighbors being murdered the twenty-year old girl snapped. Unleashing her powers, the grieving youth managed to kill and injure several Chetes, allowing time for some villagers to escape. The raiders after the initial shock rallied and fire upon her. Wounded Nayat fell off to the side into a rushing river. Just when death was going to embrace Nayat, she vanished from the waters.

When the Armenian peasant woke up in a medical table, she found herself a ‘guest’ among beings that seem human yet so different. Frightened Nayat initially believed them to be angels. She was cleared of that notion once her wounds were treated and thrown into a cell. Through a translating device the aliens explained they were the proud members of an advanced race called the Shi’lar. Moreover Nayat having been observed along with other gifted humans were now being conscripted into their military to fight the Kree.

It can go without saying the new slaves did not take this news rather well, least of all Nayat. They resisted but were suppressed and thrown into stasis pods for confinement. Before the Shi’lar slavers can reach their destination most of the captives, human and aliens broke out and stage an uprising. The ship was damaged during the chaos and crashed into a remote desolate world, killing all aboard except for Nayat who had remained frozen. More than a century later in 2023 the wrecked vessel was left undisturbed until a party of Ravagers discovered it shortly after the final defeat of Thanos.

Hunting for salvage the outlaws found the stasis pod and Nayat inside. When the young woman finally woke, she nearly killed the Ravagers in sheer panic until knocked out. Once the lost Armenian was restrained and calmed down Nayat was given an offer to join them. Not knowing how much time has passed and wanting to become stronger before returning home the mutant agreed to the arrangement for the time being. For the next three years Nayat worked for one of the Ravager clans, slowly learning to control her powers and becoming a thief and mercenary with a new name...Nemesis.

Finally paying off the debt, the survivor made her own way eventually to Earth...

Real Name: As far as they are aware, CH-9
Birthdate: September 9 is the date, the year being somewhere between 2000 and 2008
Age: Between 18 and 26
Codename (if any): Nine
Nicknames: 9, Kid, Changeling, Shifter, Freak, Soul Thief, Id
Height: Varies
Weight: Varies
Meta-abilities:

Shape-shifting: Ability to change into various humanoid shapes, so long as that shape is at least vaguely humanoid. Can change height and weight to accomodate. Cannot change into a cardboard box, but can definitely change their appearance into the kind of person someone could believe would willingly fit themselves into a cardboard box. Beyond what is normally found in a human, can add or remove a tail or other appendage within reason, such as an extra finger or horns but not much beyond that.

Minor telekinesis: Can pierce into the id of an individual, to learn basic things about a person, such as wants, needs, and desires.

Seeds of Sin: When at least near the range of physical contact, can mentally introduce seeds of Sin to an individual, encouraging them to act with Pride, Wrath, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, or Envy.

Weaknesses:

Despite their ability to change their physical form, they are not stronger, faster, or smarter than a normally capable human. Nor does their shape-shifting ability allow them to recover from physical injuries any faster.

Additionally, people tend to not be fond of Nine once they discover Nine has done something to them, mentally. If a Seed of Sin has been planted in a person, that seed turns to Wrath targeted specifically at Nine, should they find out.

Skills:

Acrobatic: Nine's powers lend themselves to certain types of objectives, they kind that often require hasty escapes when things go awry. Nine is a capable athelete, able to manipulate themself around an environment with relative ease.

Smooth-talker: The ability to Barbie-doll themself into most anyone wouldn't mean anything if Nine stumbled over every sentence they spoke. Nine is a capable conversationalist, equally skilled at listening to a person as they are skilled at keeping even the most dull conversation moving.

Equipment:

Smartphone: Its 2026, not having one is social suicide.

Likes:

Willful people make for a fun challenge.

Dislikes:

Brief Bio: Nine's earliest memories feature Nine running from some very angry people. Images of angry strangers, followed by running, down hallways, across rooves, over walls, fill Nine's mind whenever they ponder back to their youth. Save for one kind soul, the scientists and researchers who were a constant in their life demanded so much out of Nine. Too much. So when the power suddenly went out, and the alarm blared, and the door to Nine's room mysteriously opened, they ran.

Weaknesses: Without the Iron Maiden armour, Lyra is merely a normal human being, albeit a talented and intelligent one.

Skills:
Genius-level intellect - While perhaps not quite at Stark's level, Lyra is quite brilliant in her own right and has developed some insights into repulsor tech that would impress the man himself.
Master Engineer - As demonstrated by her ability to reverse-engineer the Iron Man suit, working almost on her own and on a limited budget, Lyra's an excellent builder and maker.
Basic martial arts - While no great shakes in the fighting department, Lyra has taken some lessons in kickboxing and judo to improve her chances close-in.
Flying - Lyra has spent many hours learning to control the Iron Maiden suit in flight, and become reasonably proficient at it.
Languages - aside from her native English, Lyra speaks French, German and Japanese at varying levels of fluency.

Equipment: Bracelet-style smartwatch that plugs into the Iron Maiden's control system and can control most of its functions remotely via Wi-Fi Direct. Also functions as lifesign monitor and fitness tracker.
Earring - connects with suit to authenticate wearer, initiate startup sequence and activate donning procedure.
Smart contacts - allow HUD to display even when helmet isn't worn.

Bio: Lyra Hawkins was a young and brilliant postgrad student at the University of Cambridge, where she was pursuing her PhD in particle mechanics, specialising in muon engineering. This naturally got her interested in Tony Stark's research on repulsors, but because his work was owned by Stark Industries she was unable to assess most of it. In frustration, she tracked down every available piece of data on Iron Man's repulsor technology and began to reverse engineer it. This quest became an obsession for her, and she eventually built - not just a working replica of the repulsor - but a reasonable copy of the arc reactor that powered the Iron Man armour.
At this point the nature of her quest changed. She already had enough to catapult her into the bleeding edge of scientific research, but she wanted more. She would not rest until she had made herself a working model of the Iron Man armour, to prove that she was the engineering equal of the genius who had built the original.
After the death of Tony Stark, the world mourned the loss of Iron Man, and almost before he had been laid to rest speculation had begun about a possible successor. Would Pepper Potts continue as Rescue? Or someone else in another suit, like Jim Rhodes in War Machine?
Rumours swirled, ranging from the reasonable to the bizarre, until reports began to trickle in of sightings of a new Iron Man suit in the skies over England. And then one day, the armoured villain Whiplash began a rampage in the city of Birmingham, but was swiftly taken down by a new heroine, who announced her name as Iron Maiden, and declared her intention to take on the mantle of Iron Man.....

Now, it's an odd thing to be stuck on one's mind, but I added another weakness to my character. I felt like as a ninja concealing his identity was important so the left arm ability was crucial, but it is also integral to his own story as a character. However, I didn't want Walker just to be able to grab somebody and blind them, I see it being used in a more interrogative way than anything. So there is another weakness in there if you wanted to look at it @Gands

Felt I should let you know since you liked the post and I made a change afterwards. The weakness is titled Contact.

EDIT: also clarified how to end the effect, but this isn't really a weakness so its under the ability description in When The Sun Goes Down.

Good changes. I have a request. After having spoken with Michale Cs about Tigra , I have decided that 10 years with powers is a bit much for me. I have come up with a possible solution though. How would you feel about being snapped out and back, missing those 5 years ?

Edited my Tigra to make her a "newer" hero and changed the relationship to one with Doctor Strange.

That's an easily manageable part of my bio as Walker's first use of his powers is when he comes to Earth and as of now there is no major character development attached to his new Earth residency. So I can have him enter at any point in the timeline without affecting the character. So that is fine.

Name: Tseng Chen
Codename: Sunfire
Age: 27
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 121 lb

Meta-abilities
Solar Flare:
Chen's mutant powers enable her to absorb solar and other radiation to generate the process of ionized matter (usually air) through a mentally-triggered unknown biochemical process so that it is converted to plasma, the superheated state of matter. Plasma is the state in which matter making up the sun exists; hence, Sunfire refers to her projecting "solar fire". Hence she can sheath her body in flame.
  • Flight: She can use her powers to create super-heated air currents which push her forward through the air, enabling her to fly. This super-heated air is generally visible as a trail of flame behind her. She has yet to try flying faster than about 150 miles per hour.
  • Plasma Blasts: She has the ability to project the flames she generates as powerful blasts of energy.
  • Plasma Emanation: Sunfire can generate plasma temperatures and release them in a massive blast affecting a wide area. Her upper limits on temperature or area of effect are unknown, due to her limited opportunity to test safely and her reluctance to put others in danger.
  • Heat Signature Sense: She has the ability to sense beings by the heat signature that they give off but she lacks practice at distinguishing between types of profiles and has mostly used it only to keep tabs on someone trying to hide from her.
  • Plasma Shield: She has the ability to manipulate the plasma around her to form an aura that can melt incoming bullets or stave off other attacks.
Solar Shielding Psi-field: She is protected from the heat and radiation she emits by a short-range psionic force field which automatically comes into being whenever there is air friction, and also prevents excessive amounts of light from the plasma from reaching her eyes so as to blind or damage them. Her body emits a protective field whenever she uses her powers, preserving her clothes and her possessions.

American/Chinese Contract Law
Profiicent in Wushu
Languages - Native speaker in Changsha dialect of Xiang Chinese, fluent in Mandarin and English.

Equipment:
Laptop, smartphone, discretionary income.

Bio: Chen was born in Changsha, Hunan Province in China into a successful professional family. Her grandfather was a co-founder of Haier Group Corporation, a Chinese electronics manufacturer, and she grew up groomed to study, excel and eventually take a role in the family business. At the age of 18, her family sent her to study business in America, at Columbia University. She had a business degree by the age of 22, and by the age of 25 she had a Juris Doctorate in Business Law. Since then, she's worked in the offices of Haier America in New York and New Jersey, supporting contract negotiations and legal compliance. On paper, Chen looks to be just another successful corporate suit.

It's a lie she's worked very hard to cultivate, to keep her family happy and to avoid suspicion. For when Chen was 19 and on spring break, she fell asleep while sunbathing on the rooftop of her friend's villa and woke to find herself floating a mile above the earth. She survived the fall, and the incremental discovery of her powers, but knew she couldn't go home like this. Instead, she pursued her legal education with a token effort towards American contract law to appease her family while spending most of her real scholarly attention on human legal rights with an international focus.

Now that she's a few years out of law school, with real experience in courts and boardrooms, Chen finally feels ready to start building a case for national and international human rights, to build on to the regulations built into the existing Accords. The prospect of working with other superhuman individuals is appealing and she remains hopeful that she can serve humanity and herself by partnering with others.

Made a few changes to my sheet to incorporate a couple of nerfs, change up the powers somewhat, and add equipment to increase non-combat functionality.
